#akari's not much better off lol

We know that Akari loves to tease Ingo about being old even though she knows or can tell that he is much younger than he seems to be at first glance. (personally I'd see him in his mid to latter half of his 30s at most, but the stress of the sudden jump in time and what came with it, his more stressful tasks, a little poison from Sneasler really put a strain on his body and it aged a little bit faster (not to mention his encounter with Draugr in your version, not healthy at all. Nope)
What I'm trying to get here is the moment when it is confirmed to Akari that he really is much younger than he looks like first glance. I'm sure the old habits die hard but she sometimes still makes old man jokes with him, but not as frequent anymore. Once reunited it would mean calling Emmet old, too. And that could often lead into a two against one situation in playful bantering. I doubt she would let herself fall into this disadvantage
I'm sure the jokes soon become jabs at his health when it comes to his back and all and are meant to encourage him to exercise and get better again. (Especially in the IWLYB version where Jörmun took a chomp out of Ingo when he tried to save her)
Oh yes, Akari really loves to play up the ‘old’ jokes with Ingo, perhaps after Ingo made a comment about his back hurting (before she knew about the extensive injury and scarring, she probably wouldn’t have started joking about it otherwise) or after Melli said something about his age (probably to make light of Melli’s words though lol; but Ingo takes it much better from Akari than from Melli obviously).
But she knows that he’s really not that old. No one knows his age, but like, you can tell. You can tell he’s not old — as you said anon, just worn out and stressed.
She does make old man jokes. Probably pulls back on the bad back jokes a little once she learns about what happened and how screwed up his back is. Never makes bald jokes when calling him an old man though. I think it would be funny if Akari just assumes Ingo’s super sensitive about his receding hairline, but in reality he really does not care about it lol. And she’ll never know that cause she just thinks it would hurt to bring up, so he can never clear up that misconception.
(Or maybe just until she sees Emmet just berate Ingo about it later in a sibling way — “you could hide from me but I see you couldn’t escape dad’s genes!!”— and sees he’s fine with it haha)
But yeah especially in regards to his back — like I said earlier she’d probably lay off the bad back jokes largely after seeing how bad it is, and it probably would turn into more just trying to find ways to ease that.
And in regards to IWLYB, whoo I have… no idea how you’d properly recover from that ^^; gotta start looking for more articles on how people managed shark bites in their sides!!

Can we get poly submas x DILF reader who has triplets from a previous marriage? Can you also make the triplets identical I just think that would be funny lol.
Poly Submas x Dilf Reader with Triplets
It's pretty obvious that people know who the twins are by this point. They're battle masters, train conductors, and are considered Unova's most sought after bachelors. You know them well actually, considering that they're your boyfriends.
You're a father of identical triplets, all girls. Every year you all dress up as Professor Utonium and the Powerpuff Girls. You always tell the girls that they can ask for a different themed costume but they insist on dressing up as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.
The girls are candy sweet, you love them so much! People often times have their own little nicknames for them. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, or Eenie, Miney, Mo, sort of names.
The girls from oldest to youngest are named: Momoka, Hana, and Akari. The girls are adopted and you all immigrated over to the Unova region after you were able to secure a better job for a life for all four of you.
The girls are a handful at times but you're quite thankful to have the twins as your boyfriends. When you first immigrated, you were showing the girls on how to ride the subways safely. They all attended the same private school. The four of you would ride together in the morning and then the girls would walk over to where you worked at the Nimbasa Library. You'd all get lunch and when you went back to work, the girls would do their homework and play on the computers until it was time to go home.
There was a time though, the girls wanted to go hang out with some classmates. You were obviously very worried about them going on their own so you insisted that they take one of your Pokemons with you. But at some point, the girls got lost in the subway station, at three separate locations, and were crying for your help in the group chat.
You immediately went to look for them, asking for help. You found one of your girls but then when you found Hana and Akari, they were with one of the twins. Hana had found Emmet, and somehow charmed her way into getting him to buy her a lollipop. Akari was with Ingo, the two holding hands together as her other hand held a toy he had given her. You thanked the twins profusely for their assistance.
Since that day forward, the twins became almost an integral part of your life. Somehow the three of you have similar work schedules and train routes. In the morning, you'd see the twins on the same train to Nimbasa from Anville Town. The girls were happy to see the twins, but after learning that Hana got candy, the other two girls often ask when they'd get their share. It was here that you explained to the twins that the girls learned the concept of sharing. On the occasion you don't buy singular treats, you buy them a big candy bar and tell them to share it evenly.
On the train rides back home, the girls are often talking to the twins about their day. Talking about their school subjects and what not. At least until they found out that Ingo and Emmet are among Unova's best trainers and then they get excited and ask many questions, including wanting to see their pokemon.
When you all arrive at the same destination for home, the girls insist that the twins come over for dinner. The twins at first are apprehensive, but the girls insist and beg for you to let them join. Thankfully you have enough food in the fridge to prepare a large meal for them.
What started off as a coincidence, then intentions, easily became domestic. You at first tried to keep your romantic life with the twins a secret from the girls, at least until you gave them an explanation on gay people. When they saw Emmet and Ingo give you a kiss on the cheek, they all screamed in delight.
Birthdays and holidays became bigger with them in your lives. You wouldn't have it any other way.

Since you enjoy questions ranking between seasons, here’s one:
Assume the concept of Digimon never existed. Rank the main cast of each season in order of how cohesive the friend group would be if they met under mundane circumstances (with 1 being the group that would still easily be a tight-knit group of friends and last place being the biggest dumpster fire)
Wavered over this a few times and realized how crucial it was to define the circumstances better. Even if they're mundane, everything changes depending on if they signed up for whatever brought them together (like a club), how long they were stuck together (like camp), and if they had to accomplish anything as a team (like a group assignment). In the end, we're going with the most mundane of the mundane scenarios, and guaranteed to get diverse groups of kids interacting... if 80s movies are any indicator:
Saturday Detention
Just the characters stuck alone in a library for eight hours. Other than pre-existing relationships and friendships, they have never met before. They have no obligation to meet after this. They're supposed to be silent and doing their own busywork, but lol no.
No weed. Probably.
Frontier- If any group could benefit from eight hours of group therapy *without* something trying to kill them every five minutes, it's these guys. Takuya's not going to keep his mouth shut for long, Junpei's going to try (and fail) to flirt with Izumi, and as irritated as Koji is with everyone's antics, everyone's going to open up fast when Koichi pipes in with "hey I think you're my brother." They'll get a lot accomplished and won't forget it afterwards.
Zero Two- Absolute madness for the first hour or so when Daisuke and Takeru get into some stupid argument that Hikari has to mediate. This will get Miyako joining in trying to get them to shut up, with Iori jumping in when he finally gets sick of it. That'll calm everyone down and get them to realize that the way Miyako interacts with Hikari and Daisuke makes her a perfect fit in their group, dragging in Iori by force. Despite sitting in the back trying not to get noticed, Ken will get roped into their antics before the end of the day, and Daisuke will insist on inviting him to all future hangouts.
Adventure: (2020)- Two key reasons this version finishes ahead of the '99 team: this Taichi and Yamato don't argue that much, and Taichi's going to insist on everyone getting involved in whatever stupidity they invent to pass the time. Some will protest. Not just Joe: Koshiro will be awkward about it and Mimi may consider their goofing off beneath her until she can't resist joining the fun. They're not baring their souls or anything, but everyone will enjoy the nonsense too much to want to give it up at the end of the day.
Adventure- There's a clear line of demarcation between Taichi/Hikari/Sora/Koshiro, Yamato/Takeru, Joe, and Mimi. With nothing pressing on them, the streams aren't going to cross as easily. They'll slowly turn around once Hikari and Takeru start playing and Joe or Sora grow receptive to Mimi insisting on socializing with them. Yamato or Sora might accidentally let something meaningful out to somebody and a few new individual bonds will certainly be forged, offering some hope that the entire group of eight becomes a fully fledged squad.
Tamers- What are they supposed to do in detention if they're not writing poignant goodbyes to their frazzled teacher? You'll definitely see Takato, Hirokazu, and Kenta properly welcome Juri into their group longterm, but the others might be more of a struggle. There won't be as much of an impetus to bring in Jianliang, and he'd be content to keep to himself while keeping his sister out of trouble. Ryo might be welcomed in if the boys don't fanboy too hard, and approaches will be made towards Ruki. It's hard to say she'd be too receptive from anyone other than Juri, who's already a bit of an outsider, so it's an awkward fit going forward.
Xros Wars- Taiki and Akari have a good bond. Yuu and Nene have a good bond. But at some point these two pairs will get snippy with each other and start co-mingling. They will barely tolerate Zenjirou, but he's attached to them whether they like it or not. Kiriha's a wild card, since Taiki's going to try to include him once the other five are established. He'll probably cave after a bit, and enough pestering might get him to reveal something deeper that makes them consider staying friends in the future. But without anything meaningful like that, they probably can only stand each other in small groups and limited doses.
Appmon- Haru is perfectly content ignoring everyone except Yuujin and his stack of books. Rei is perfectly content ignoring everyone period. Eri and Astra will attempt to strangle each other at least once in the first two hours. But you'd hope they'd settle down and at least have a conversation where they gain a begrudging respect for each other. And they're both so damn gregarious that they'd at least try to get to know the other kids in the room. Haru and Yuujin are receptive and pleasant to talk to, but not really interested in hanging out afterwards. Wildly, this team shoots up multiple spots if we let in Ai as her instant rapport with Haru, Yuujin, Eri, and Rei would create a lot of meaningful connections in a hurry.
Hunters- First instinct is to put them at the bottom since none of them even come to like each other even with a world-threatening event they need to work together to prevent. But similar to Frontier or 2020, some of them just won't shut up. Tagiru is already friends with Taiki and Yuu and will absolutely try to suss out Ryouma, Ren, and Airu. And since those three may not have known each other prior to the Hunt, it might actually work. Not becoming friends with Tagiru so much, but in coaxing them out of their shell so that they talk to the others. Ryouma and Taiki could absolutely have a conversation contentious enough that they both appreciate the candor. Yuu and Airu will still turn into Yuu and Airu. There's every reason to expect everyone to end the day counting the minutes until they never have to see each other again, but there are enough pockets of potential that they all may get together as an excuse to exploit those nuggets of interest even though they all kind of hate each other.
Savers- Touma's happy to keep to himself and Yoshino's going to feel like she's babysitting Masaru and Ikuto. Those two will be absolutely insufferable breaking every rule they can, and Touma getting annoyed and rising to Yoshino's aid could well lead to a proper fistfight. Once Yoshino doles out the icepacks, there's a glimmer of potential if they can calm down and talk through their baggage, but even if they can come to some sort of understanding and appreciation for each other, they're all very different people at different stages of their life and unlikely for it to be more than a fleeting moment.
Ghost Game- Bottom for Ghost Game? But they made a pretty cool team, I hear you say. But like Appmon, they were forced into it! And judging by how much their friends comment on how weird it is that they hang out, they're probably not doing so under normal circumstances. This scenario brings them together, with one problem: Kiyoshiro's going to be a stickler for the rules and insist that they keep to themselves. And Hiro's just going to go along with that because he's Hiro. Ruli of course will be incensed about not getting to socialize, but again Hiro's not inclined to rock the boat. As a consolation, this may be the most likely team to feature some closet action as she'd absolutely drag Hiro away from Kiyoshiro for a chance to talk. But even if they strike up some sort of manipulative friendship, Kiyo's not a part of any future plans.
Oh, and since I've been thinking about this since the 02 movie...
Honorable Mention: The Movie Triplets- Maybe not quite as potent without their partnership challenges, but try sticking Wallace, Meiko, and Lui in a room together. Lui's got an awful past, Meiko has a deep compassion for broken things, and Wallace can meet them both halfway... plus willingly starts conversations! Eight hours will forge these three into an incredible friend group... or the most uncomfortable three-sided love triangle. Or both. Probably both.

How will the reunion between Akari and Juliana go? Or Carmine?
So this is like, two years post Indigo Disk at this point. Carmine is about 19 here, and Juliana/Florian as being 17 and Kieran as 16 here.
Carmine travels for her job, she works with researchers as a sort if body guard against wild pokemon in dangerous areas they're studying. Pretty much what she did with Briar as a student. So she is out of the region when Akari gets reverse eebied back. They're staying with Drayden in Opelucid City, since Ingo is staying there too (and Emmet he's not going anywhere). After Carmine finally finds out what's up from Drayton she demands to facetime immediately to see Kieran.
Akari vaguely remembers her, their memories are sort of coming back. They just feel kind of seperared from them. Staring at the face of god kind of scrambles your brain.
So they initially reunite over facetime but it's not exactly a coherant conversation on Carmine's end. She's too busy bawling so Drayton winds up having to have a private conversation with her about the situation. After that she drops everything calls her grandparents to tell them whats up and then THAT'S it's own situation becauase poor grandma thought she was having a stroke when they heard the news.
When she gets back to Unova and finally sees Kieran in person she's bawling again and appologizing to them like Drayton did so Akari is finally like why does everyone keep apologizing to me? I dont get it. So then she's even more upset lol. But Akari really matured in Hisui and does kind of remember a big sister so there super happy someone they're related to actually wants them. (Akari went through a phase where their memories of indigo disk era had them thinking they were a terrible person and everyone back home was better off without them)
She also has a few of Kieran's pokemon on her like Furret and Hydrapple and they are very emotional seeing Kieran again. It takes her a few days because she's so overwhelmed but she eventually reaches out to Briar and the Protagonist to let them know Kieran's alive.
Im just gonna use Juliana in this to make it easier, but Juliana is shook. Like she's moved on with her life, mourned Kieran, still has nightmares about the incident. Kieran is the ghost that haunts her. So she's beside herself too and Carmine gives her time. She tells her friends who like, all vaguely know Kieran through osmosis since the whole thing kind of broke her, and they help her work through what she's feeling. Same with her mom, her mom keeps a picture of Kieran in their house even though she never knew them. But like the fact that this kid died and her own kid almost did too is pretty devastating to think about.
So Juliana facetimes Carmine and Carmine shows her Kieran (they don't talk yet, the whole situation is a lot for these two) and she starts crying too lol. She's like "do you think he'd want to talk to me?" And carmine is like "well, they've changed a lot but its more like. Theyre back to their old self just, more sure seeming? Also i honestly dont know if they remember you"
So its a whole shitshow essentially. Just a bunch of people navigating a difficult situation. Akari is kind of facinated by Juliana like "wowzers i was friends with someone so cool? I cant believe i was so mean to her i should appologize" and theyre like kieran i think sort of dying kind of negates that you're fine.
Then comes the big bomb that Akari has a SMART PHONE. That is the biggest change of all. Cannot believe you went to the past and came back with knowledge of memes.
Eventually the two talk and they're like pen pals for a while (through texting) while Kieran is healing and doing rehab for some injuries in Opelucid. Carmine is staying in an air bnb there to help out. Eventually Juliana gets the courage to come visit and when they meet she's half crying in joy half having a bi panic because Akari is very pretty.
The end

Have you ever thought about one of those Diamond clan warden Emmet? If so what're your thoughts about it? I mean I saw some people kind of make it so that either twin doesn't remember each other so they're on mutual rivalry friendship kind of thing with this random guy that looks like them lol
Well... If Emmet, too, fell in the highlands, would he not just replace Melli? Maybe? Meaning, there's these two identical dudes as Wardens in the highlands who are both amnesiacs and from rival clans. In appearance and almost in clothing, they are virtually identical. Unless one of them managed to not land on top of the other (therefore cushioning the fall), they both likely hit their heads pretty hard. Emmet was seen by someone from the Diamond Clan, just as Ingo was seen by someone from the Pearl Clan. During their recovery, they are blissfully unaware of the other. Time goes on and as they both get better, each clan leader sees how well both of them handle pokemon. They are offered positions as their respective Wardens, Ingo with Lady Sneasler and Emmet with Lord Electrode.
The two basically see each other as they explore the new area. Both freeze and point at their twin. Ingo tries to have Gliscor attack Emmet, believing him to be a Zoroark's illusion. He is not, and he does not hesitate to launch an attack with his Ariados. A stalemate is reached, and the two just stare at one another for a solid few minutes. Ingo spies a bleeding cut on the opposing Warden, watching as the red blooms brilliantly across Emmet's white jacket. Something instinctual screams at him, and he rushes over to demand a better look at it. There is a strange compliance that overtakes Emmet. He lets the Pearl Clan member help him. His wound was quickly cleaned and patched up by the other Warden. Emmet proceeds to thwack his nose and walks off with a simple 'thanks'.
It was much later when both realised they were not speaking the language of Hisui to one another. The clans are confused by the identical Wardens, often mistaking one for the other despite the minor clothing differences. It makes the rivalry between them all the stronger. They are often seen having overly intense battles in the highlands and training to beat one another. Adaman and Irida are concerned that the Wardens dislike one another, but when pressed, Ingo claims that he genuinely cares about Emmet. He's like an estranged, distant brother. Emmet agrees, Ingo is an odd, unwanted, nagging older brother. They also hang out casually, talking about how similar their circumstances are.
Ingo sees a pair of identical girls in the Pearl Settlement and asks about them. He learns that they are called twins by their mother. Twins. He closes his eyes. Yeah, that is what him and Emmet are. His brain feels that it's the correct term to describe them. He tells him that after their next battle. Emmet nods. Yeah, they are twins. Ingo is his twin. They keep saying that word, but neither are really considering the other that. It wasn't like they grew up together or anything. They are just two identical strangers. Ingo just finds it natural to share a home with the other man. It's safer, because they live in an area filled with wild pokemon. Emmet agrees. The consuming loneliness that plagues his mind in this strange place goes away whenever Ingo is near.
It takes Akari, another person who fell from the sky, to ask if they are brothers for them to finally consider it properly. "My memory is hazy, but... I remember this article about twin Subway Bosses who were supposedly super tough..." she tried her hardest to recall what they looked like. It was just one small picture in a magazine she skimmed through. Emmet nods while Ingo closes his eyes. That tracks. Both look at each other; it feels right. "I am Emmet. I am Subway Boss," the younger twin recalls a phrase. Ingo hums. "I am a Subway Boss, Ingo," he remembers saying somewhere, and then gestures to his counterpart, "The fellow over to the side is also a Subway Boss, Emmet."
The younger twin gasps at his brother's words. Yes, his brother. Ingo was his older twin brother. He was annoying and overworked himself; he still is, for that matter. "Follow the rules. Safe driving! Follow the schedule. Everybody smile!" Emmet shouts, striking a familiar pose, "Check safety. Everything's ready! Aim for victory!" Ingo joins him in the dramatics. In sync, they shout, "All aboard!" Akari giggles at their antics. However, she is blissfully unaware of how many memories she just drew out of the twins. Ingo turns to Emmet. Both stare at each other with the younger's face overcome with terror while the older's eyes show his fear. "Oh, no... If you're here alongside me..." Ingo started, taking off his hat to run his hand through his hair. "Who is running the Gear Station?" Emmet finished, pulling at his fringe slightly.

Because I have brainrot I have been making a crossover thing of my BLEACH AU (HATY) with One Piece (even though I'm not even 100 episodes in yet lol) and no surprise I've made a big bit of Kuchiki lore. Why not post it just if anyone is entertained hearing other people's AUs lol.
Byakuya, Sen, and Muramasa are the triplet sons of Sojun and Aratani Kuchiki. Sojun's sister, Nanami, married a man named Koga. Little did they know, Koga was a pirate captain after Kuchiki riches. He manipulated the youngest of the triplets, Muramasa, to join him. When the triplets were ten years old, Koga and Muramasa made a plan to steal billions of berries from the Kuchikis, but Sen and Byakuya caught wind of it. As such, Koga kidnapped the two boys as well. He made off with the Kuchikis in the middle of the night, taking them all to his ship. Koga demanded the two work on his ship, but Byakuya vehemently refused. As such, Koga threatened to send him overboard with no hesitation. Byakuya and Sen both begged for his life, before the middle triplet hesitantly conceited. They now became members of the Zanpakuto Pirates. The boys learned a lot. Sen learned to cook, Byakuya learned navigation and better leadership skills, etc. Fourteen years later, the Marines spotted the Kuchikis on the boat. Muramasa refused to come in favor of staying with Koga. Sen tried to plead for him to leave, but he couldn't convince him, and Sen and Byakuya were rescued and taken back to their kingdom. Despite being older, Sen rescinded his opportunity for the throne in favor of letting Byakuya become king. They agreed Byakuya had better leadership qualities. A year later, Byakuya was married with a child.
That was thirty years ago. In the modern day, Byakuya had fallen extremely ill. The kingdom was in shambles. Byakuya's sons, Sojun-ko and Yoshi, tried to maintain order. But Sojun-ko's mind was fractured from the potential of losing his father, struggling to take his place to lead. Coming back from the sea one day was Sojun-ko's uncle, Renji Abarai, who married Rukia Kuchiki. They spent a year on the sea as pirates, despite the metaphorical spitting in the face they received from the rest of the family. Sojun-ko, despite caring a lot for Renji, was angry at his return. Sojun-ko mentioned that Byakuya was deathly ill, and Renji suggested that he take them on the sea with him. He could take Byakuya to see Seinosuke Yamada across the ocean, that man's healing is known to be magical. After many arguments, they agreed to this idea.
The Kuchiki family stepped foot on Renji's ship. The main members of his crew were him, his wife, their daughter, their son, a man named Sentaro, and a father and a daughter named Yumichika and Akari respectively. (Mixing HATY's squad 6, 11, and 13 into one boat) The immobile Byakuya was hauled to his own separate quarters. Byakuya passed his navigation skills and history knowledge onto Sojun-ko, who helped him in this endeavor, much to Sojun-ko's annoyance. ("How did you survive a whole year on the sea without a fucking navigator?") As they travelled on the sea, Rukia and Renji's son, Kaien, abandoned the ship in favor of another group of pirates. They left so quickly and mysteriously that nobody knew who they were. But Sen seemed to recognize their Jolly Rodger...
They finally made it to Seinosuke Yamada. Byakuya was taken in, and after several weeks, was miraculously healed. His mind was still fractured, with a struggle to form new memories, and he still suffered joint pain, but he could walk. He could talk without crying. He could cough without there being blood. He could act for himself. The family cried with joy that Byakuya was alright. When they went to go back on the sea, Byakuya shoved Renji a little, figuratively and literally. They got into an argument. Renji demanded to know what makes Byakuya think he'll lead the ship better, to which Byakuya answers that he has fourteen years of experience as a pirate, when Renji only has one. When he drops the name "Zanpakuto Pirates," Renji is shocked. That crew was known for being ruthless and dangerous. And Byakuya of all men, apart of a filthy blood soaked pirate crew? For fourteen whole years? Renji didn't let Byakuya entirely take the reins, but he did listen more to his demands input. They started taking the trip back to the kingdom, when one day...
They were attacked by another boat. The boat Kaien left them for. And as they finally saw the crew, it became obvious who they were. The Zanpakuto Pirates. A colorful crew, consisting of the now elderly Koga, Muramasa, Kaien, two boys his age named Kikuo and Jushiro, older members of the Zanpakuto Pirates, such as Nozarashi Zaraki, Katen and Kyokotsu Kyoraku, Jizō Kurotsuchi, and dozens of others. As fighting progressed between the crews, Koga dumped Muramasa for suddenly hesitating against his brothers. Sen jumped in the water to rescue his brother, while Byakuya fought and defeated Koga. Sojun-ko found himself having to kill Kaien. As the Zanpakuto Pirates wrecked their boat and left them to die, filled with a sudden grief and rage at Sojun-ko for killing his son, he, without thinking, pushed Sojun-ko into the water. He expected the boy to swim up to the surface, but did no such thing. Byakuya shoved him to the deck, screaming at him for being an idiot as he went after his son. The injured boat barely made it to dry land. Once they were safe, Renji initiated a conversation.
Renji and Rukia were both angry as Sojun-ko for killing their son, and Byakuya shut them down. ("Trying to kill my son won't bring back yours!") Byakuya explains that Sojun-ko has Devil Fruit Powers, and thus couldn't swim, something Renji was also unaware of. He watched Sojun-ko using his Chi Chi no Mi to heal everyone's slash wounds, including the Abarais and Muramasa. As he did that, Sen forced the conversation to change to his aforementioned brother. When Renji questioned Sen and Byakuya's motivations for wanting to keep Muramasa safe, the two simultaneously replied "Because he's my brother." Muramasa started to realize just how awful Koga has been to him. Koga was family too, and he treated him like an object when he was useful, and dirt when he wasn't. Has he made an awful mistake these past thirty years? He thinks to himself. Sen asks him to stay to make things right between them all as brothers, and Muramasa agrees. He apologizes for everything he put Sen and Byakuya through. Byakuya replies "It's all Koga's fault." as a dismissal and roundabout way of saying he forgave him. Now, with high tensions still in the air, they have to find their way home.

What are your thoughts on what the relationship ( platonic or romantic ) between Karma and Kayano/Akari could be?
I think Karma and Kayano work better in a platonic relationship (platonic soulmates if you will) and while I don't see them in a romantic relationship, I think it'd be funny interesting if they were. They seem like they have the potential to be besties like they are with Nagisa and yet we barely get any official content with them...
Since Kayano and Karma interacted around 7 times in the manga (14 if you count every time they talked to each other in the Valentine's Day chapters) their relationship is so...nonexistent. Yet they're kinda similar (at least with Akari and Karma)??? They're both very stubborn, tends to go overboard, and they can become so fiery when it comes to their goals. So they're usually calm but they're like a volcano that's ready to burst. Full of chaotic and feral energy and they're very dangerous LOL. Like, their first (real) assassination attempt were so, so violent and they were willing to off themselves (applies to Nagisa too ofc...wow, what a trio). They're insane.
Also they both seem like the type to like arson. I mean, Kayano already did commit arson. So...
Anyways, I can see their relationship starting off as "ah, you're Nagisa's friend so I guess we're hanging out in this group" until maybe the Kyoto arc and they kind of get to know each other a little more? The group did spend a while together, and I can imagine they talk about the sweets in Kyoto. Then it's back to the class, and they know a little more about each other every day when they both hang out with Nagisa and the others. I think they get along as Kayano and Karma, and Karma probably used to view Kayano as a harmless person. But then, Akari reveals herself and there's some betrayal there. And Karma really gets to know who she is. Maybe Karma still doesn't trust her even after the reveal is over, but learns to trust her again once he realizes that Kayano's just a part of Akari, and opens up to her more after Karma's issues with Nagisa is over and then they can truly be friends.
Plus there's the Valentine's Day arc. The only time Karma and Kayano interact FREQUENTLY and it has to do with Nagisa. Based on their interactions, it seems like they're pretty much okay with each other??? Kayano even accepts his and Nakamura's help so I assume they're all chill at this point. And also...Kayano gave KARMA, of all people, a picture of Aguri in a bikini for the Korosensei bait, and even trusted him enough to have it in his possession??? I know it was all for a humorous moment but still, that just gives me the feeling that they're good friends at this point. I remember thinking about that entire Valentine's Day interaction with Karma and Nakamura, wondering when Kayano got so close to them.
SO YEAH. 👏ඞ In conclusion, Karma and Kayano have the potential to be besties that are completely chill with each other and work well together.

Lmao, did Ingo at least get to say goodbye to them first? Maybe it at least let's him keep a joltik or something so he can occasionally hand it off to Volo like, "here, take this tiny, fluffy, adorable thing for a while and maybe you'll feel better about the world." It'd even match Volo's gingko color scheme lol.
Also, somehow you saying that this is just a work gig he doesn't particularly want to do made me think of him occasionally griping in his head like, "you know what *my* Ideal is, Zekrom? Having indoor plumbing again. -_-" He's too polite to say it out loud, but he's also probably pretty homesick the longer it goes on.
Oof, big yikes if Akari doesn't get to keep her memories in order to make her more likely to do what "needs to be done".
yeah i think zekrom has basic manners so it gave ingo like, a week, to set things in order and give everyone a "hey i'm going on a business trip, don't worry about what for, be back in like uhhh two years or so thanksbye" (excepting emmet who gets to know what's Actually going on.) aww the idea of him taking a joltik with him... that's so cute... they snuck it under his hat so zekrom wouldn't notice
also YEAH LMAO what he would not give for a god. damn. delivery. pizza. right now. he's never taking modern conveniences for granted again. he's also homesick for more important things like, his friends and brother and the subway, but.
mmmyesss this is a possibility... as we've established this arceus does not Care so much about individual humans, so if it's the most economical way to get things done, of course it'd take it. that's also an interesting inversion of the much more common "protag remembers but ingo doesn't" thing...

This is just a little thought I had after reading "What's in a name". (Again, it's a minor thought though.)
After confirming that Akari did catch Ingo's cold, (Because Ingo was too out of it to continue scolding her about social distancing.) I just imagined that those two were just stuck together in Ingo's home, being sick. Lol
Okay, maybe did Akari just rest back at Jubilife, but to be fair, that would probably be a draining trip for poor Akari, so she just ended up staying. Ingo's just reminding her about social distancing and is just trying to take care of her, like how she cared for him for the first few days. Akari's also trying to remind Ingo that he's still sick too and should not be exerting too much of his energy trying to take of her.
Basically they're both just scolding and taking care of each while they're both sick, and I think that's just wholesome really. They are uncle and niece. They are family. I apologise for this rant. :')
In regards to What’s In a Name
Yes! I am sure Ingo would at least insist Akari not go see anyone else and keep away from others; he already spread the cold to her, he doesn’t need her spreading it to all of Jubilife Village and putting the entire Galaxy Team out of commission (he would feel second-hand shame with that!!) so I’m sure she’d want to quarantine herself with him so that she keeps out of contact but can still tend to him - he’s doing all of this scolding in a bed he can’t get out of, with a cold cloth over his forehead after all, haha.
They are family!! They would be taking care of each other a lot, but also their pokemon would be happy to help out when needed; just like with people and animals, I imagine (most) sicknesses can’t transfer, so their Pokémon would be fine.
We’ve talked a lot about stress and just how much of it Ingo deals with. Stress will wear down the body and the immune system, making someone get sick more frequently and take longer to get over it.
So I do imagine Akari gets sick from Ingo, but she bounces back from it faster than he does - I imagine she’s stressed as well in this new environment, but it hasn’t been as intense and prolonged. Which is why she’s already fine in the fic when Ingo’s still shaking off the last few symptoms. She most likely was able to start taking better care of him again after a few days of dealing with the cold herself.

Me dealing with Arceus spiriting away my beloved husband Ingo. Me trying to keep myself, plus everyone else who loved him held together as hope dies and bearing the trauma of losing the love of my life and him possibly being dead. Me being spirited away to Hisui and dealing with the shock that he's amnesic. Me being there as he slowly remembers everything he lost, all the pain his loved ones are going through without him and holding him while his heart breaks. Me promising that I'm not angry with him as he remembers who I am and why I've been so worried about him. Us falling back in love, maybe more than ever, and it's our only comfort. Me getting pregnant in Hisui without modern medicine, with triplets no less, and effectively being sidelined from being able to get us home. Me and my three babies managing to survive birth against all odds. Our children somehow surviving without modern medicine and much needed vaccines, plus wild fucking pokemon. A child who looks just like our own, just like Ingo, appears and they're in a modern, gear station themed onsie. They're just a little younger than our babies. Us realizing this has to be Emmett's child. Where's Emmet? Is he here? Is he ok? Is he amnesiac like Ingo was? Oh no what if he's dead? Where's the mother? Oh god we have to reunite them, Emmett can't keep losing his family to the rifts. Akari gets Ingo, Emmet's baby and I home, but where are our fucking children? Arceus where the fuck are they? What do you mean they don't belong in our time? Emmet finds us. His baby! His brother! His in-law! He's overjoyed until he realizes his has a niece and nephew that are uncoupled by God himself. Emmett wondering why God hates him and his family; they've always been good people and just wanted to be happy. Emmet and his S/O trying to keep Ingo and I together while we hunt down our children and find out fuck all whatever.
All of us standing before Arceus in a bid to reunite our entire family once and for all; Listen here Arceus you worthless, homewrecking giraffe, you better give me back my children perfect health and keep us all together, so we can spend the rest of our lives in bliss, or I will gut you. Then hang your corpse from the moon before give your divine throne to some random fucking bidoof. And you best hope I find a bidoof fast, because otherwise, I'll let Volo be God. I'm sure he'd agree to it in exchange for my family's happiness.
Me crying when my children manifest into mine and Ingo's arms; ok, but I'm still going to be a devout atheist.
Tumblr media
You grabbing god by the throat: where the fuck are my kids you better give them back right now before I rip you apart
And Emmet and Ingo are in the background ready to rumble
Also, yeah! Be an atheist! If Arceus is snatching people and stealing kids, what right does it have to be recognized or worshiped as a god??
But poor Emmet! Your baby just getting swiped like that, and then your brother and in-law are returned, but the niblings are gone! What did he do to piss off Arceus so much?? Why does he suffer??
God I love all of this! Bravo!! Beautiful angst! And a happy ending! Lol imagine telling god to his face that you’re an atheist despite coming and kicking his ass lmao

I like to think that Emmet and Ingo's reunion might just end up being a slight comedy of Errors. Or a meeting at the worst times possible. (like Emmet's currently trying to help rescue a passanger who got their hand stuck in the vending machine so its just 'Do i greet brother or do I be responsible')
I've seen a few comedy of errors! Like the one where Ingo is mistaken for Emmet, remembers at the last minute about train battling, and then just goes to work like he never left. Emmet's face when the train gets back and Ingo gets off is *chef kiss*
Also hoofpeet's one where Emmet just mistakes Ingo for a scruffy Zingo. Always a classic<3
Man, the idea I had for the antimob!AU (really need a better nameeee) is sort of like that? But not comedy alas. If I have Emmet go to Hisui, he'd basically arrive when Ingo is in full "need to get to Akari" mode. There's no time for a reunion, and yet... (I should write the idea out, maybe.)
The comedy of errors is such a good trope when done with a satisfying end tho! Gotta make sure you have the payoff. *scratches chin* Does my memory reset AU count? Since technically Emmet is going to all the places Ingo is and missing him (by a few hundred years, but who's counting lol). Man, comedy is hard!
I do like the idea of Emmet being stuck in a situation where he needs to be responsible, but Ingo is right there. The solution is that Ingo's sense of responsibility also kicks in and they help out together. I could see Emmet being at a loss for words, torn between duty and just hugging the life out of Ingo. Ingo is their voice as he reassures, guides, and assists, but his words are also meant for Emmet.
It would be verrrrry hard for Emmet to believe it was real. It's such a surreal situation after all! There would be much clinging afterwards, no doubt. :>

ok ok ok ok actually since there HAS been a lot of gaps in history offers preservation stuff since ive been putting it off and. ive been wanting to talk about some of these guys for a while. but atm this is a general list of pokemon species i am actively planning on being reoccurring and/or main/supporting cast:
party pokemon- -Hunt the Rowlet (current- will be evolved to Decidueye eventually) -Yomogi the Drifloon (current- undecided on evolution) -Porygon (future. probably the next on the team -i thiiiink i want to have it evolve eventually??? mostly because i love porygon z so much its unreal) -Alpha Hisuian Zoroark (future - meet in the icelands) -Alpha Garchomp (future - meet as a gabite in coronet highlands) ???? - (future - tbh this is just in case i want to add another pokemon to the party on a whim like what happened with yomogi) party-adjacent- -Floatzel the Floatzel (you know who this is. yes he is showing up eventually but probably not for a while) -Spiritomb (will probably be introduced kinda soon-ish?) Jubilife regulars with major/semi-major roles- Cyllene's Abra (already introduced, pretty much acting as Rei's advisor) Akari's Pikachu (briefly introduced, will probably become more relevant later) Shiny Ponyta/Rapidash (will be part of Akari's party) Mr. Mime (the gate guard. you know the one) Rotom (hops around the electronics Rei will get from the Ginko merchants) Chatot (may or may not end up being shiny. will act as a messenger. might be a party member if i dont think of something better for the sixth lol) Relevant wild pokemon- Murkrow/Honchkrow (a whole flock of murkrow that rei is going to end up befriending. rei is going to hear about soooo much bird gossip) Lord Wyrdeer (and p much all the other noble pokemon too)
of course this is all up to change, and there are STILL some that may or may not end up being relevant that ive decided to not reveal yet, but this is probably the bulk of it

First Impression: More Than a Married Couple But Not Lovers
Tumblr media
Remember those classes in high school where you had to take care of a bag of flour or a baby doll for a couple of weeks to learn responsibility? Well, Japan decided to step things up in this anime (as they always seem to do)! Our third-year high schoolers are about to participate in a “Marriage Practical,” a lesson designed to ensure students become good marriage prospects. Each is paired off with a randomly selected partner and made to live in a fully furnished, well-stocked training dorm together, with a camera placed in the living room to monitor how they live and interact as a couple. Think “Big Brother” but for teenagers. Thankfully, the pair are given separate bedrooms to dissuade… ahem… friskiness. The teams are given points based on how well they interact with each other, and by extension, points are deducted if their interactions are less than favorable. Oh, and by the way, this practical is a requirement to graduate. If you score ZERO points, you don’t get to graduate.
Tumblr media
Enter our characters: Jiro Yakuin, a typical teenage boy who is into handheld video games; Shiori Sakurazaka, the happy and bubbly childhood friend of Jiro; Akari Watanabe, a gyaru girl (think Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling but turned up to 11) who comes off as brash and rude, but has a somewhat sweet and shy side; and Minami Tenjin, the all-around perfect guy that most girls have a crush on, including our female lead Akari. The story pretty much plays out how you think it will; Jiro has a crush on his childhood friend Shiori, and Shiori, in turn, has a crush on Jiro, so naturally…they do NOT end up being “married.” Instead, Shiori ends up with Minami, and Jiro, bless his heart, ends up with Akari. The latter couple gets along like oil and vinegar as their personalities clash—with Akari putting up her gal facade while Jiro is more withdrawn and flustered, dealing with her over-the-top nature. Jiro, meanwhile, gets a little jealous when he sees how well Shiori and Minami are getting along. Akira and Jiro conclude that to achieve an A-Class Score (which will allow them to switch partners if they wish), they must put up the facade of a happy couple while in range of the cameras. Engage the shenanigans!
Tumblr media
So, I liked this one. While putting two teenagers in an apartment together to live as a married couple does give me pause, it is a fascinating concept to watch as an anime. I also love that these characters are complex, especially Akari. She’s not just some rude gal who only selfishly goes after what she wants; Akari has a shy, sensitive side, and she decides to ally with Jiro to help them get what they want. This show also gives me some Toradora vibes—a gentle and lonely boy and an outspoken, headstrong girl who both have crushes on other people try and hook up with their respective loves but end up falling in love with each other instead. Hey, if you’re going to imitate, imitate the BEST.
Tumblr media
One of the things I didn’t like about this show was, yet again, we get the typical “LOL Virgin” jokes coming from Akari. I’ve made my feelings on this clear MANY times, but I am disgusted by this joke. As someone who is saving themselves until marriage, I am here to say there is nothing, absolutely nothing, wrong with not having had that kind of relationship. The joke that virgins are always these lonely, anti-social weirdos that deserve ridicule and scorn is a long-played-out joke, and it needs to be consigned forever to the ash heap of cringe history. And this applies OUTSIDE of anime too. If you need to resort to joking about someone’s sexuality (or lack thereof), take some advice from the Cajun Samurai—get better jokes. Okay, rant over. Also, much like with Marin in Dress-Up Darling, it seems as though the animators feel comfortable with making our female lead character wear as little as possible at times, and getting some rather awkward camera angles. Good grief, guys. Cut it out!
Tumblr media
So, where does that leave us with this one? Well, I’ll be willing to give this one the “5 Episode” treatment. I’m intrigued enough to keep up with it. The characters are amusing and appear complex, the story is fascinating, and the animation looks great. Though it’s still very early, More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers has the potential to be one of the better romcoms this season! I just hope there aren’t any more “virgin” jokes.

More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

PROFESSOR BELLIS STOP GIVING ME MANKEY EGGS TO HATCH CHALLENGE
0 notes - Posted March 29, 2022
My #1 post of 2022
ok so i've read the fics where ingo recognizes emmet right away, or very soon after meeting, or when he sees emmet he gets flashbacks and tries to run away or something bc he thinks his brother is actually some illusioned-up zoroark or something. also those fics where they meet in their dreams, or in the rifts. which are all very good!
but specifically that one fic where ingo sees like, little hallucinations of emmet out of the corner of his eye after he gets some of his memory back stuck w me. and basically i think...
what if when the twins meet again, maybe w the PLA protag or the clan leaders... emmet sees ingo give a quick glimpse at him, then pointedly ignore him.
he can't figure out why (is his brother mad at him for not finding him sooner? has he been so traumatized by the separation that he can't look directly at him, the way emmet had a hard time w mirrors during ingo's disappearance?), but meanwhile, ingo is frantically running down his mental checklist of tasks.
1. did he get enough sleep? (yes, a full eight hours before he was roped into this meeting, plus w the baby sneasels and lady sneasel.)
2. did he have enough to eat? (yes, he had a meal at the wallflower a few hours ago... with some cake lures and berries as emergency provisions if he does get hungry.)
3. is he injured anywhere? (no, the last wounds he got, some abrasions from the debris that flew up while he was fighting akari a few weeks ago, healed up just fine.)
having checked off all the criteria, ingo slowly looked up, and despite his better judgement, very carefully met gazes with the white-clothed man with his face that was still, inexplicably, there.
"warden ingo, are you alright?" professor laventon's assistant asked him quietly.
"yes, my engine is in perfect condition," ingo lied, deliberately turning away from the obvious hallucination. maybe it would vanish when he stopped making direct eye contact with it, like it always had before - he couldn't entertain the possibility of his mental state potentially getting worse and having the white-clothed man appear outside the dire situations he'd always seen him it in.
(he didn't need more people in the pearl clan whispering about his uncanny habit of talking to the air, or akari eyeing him with concern whenever he was caught spacing out while turning to the left after she'd felled one of his pokemon in battle.)
so yeah, ingo is very used to seeing emmet whenever he gets into trouble somehow... so much so that he has a hard time remembering that he CAN talk to his twin now, in the flesh, without people looking at him crazy lol.
of course, emmet isn't going to stand for his brother ignoring him forever, no matter what he might've done or what ingo thinks, so he ends up goading him into talking to him right in the middle of the meeting (about past-future information exchange or something prolly, idk), and ingo ends up yelling at him like "not now, sleep hallucination! we're in the middle of something!" (bc most of the time he's suffering from insomnia when he sees hallucination-emmet, and "injury hallucination" is significantly more worrying to most - and also rolls off the tongue less imo - to say), which attracts everyone's attention. and the twins have an argument-sation about whether emmet is hallusionary (thank you esama for that great combination of hallucination + illusion), whether it was polite to yell at your brother (remembered or not, real or not) after not seeing him for a while, and how much sleep ingo usually got in a night.
after a while of this, rei is like "...who are you talking to, warden?" (bc honestly akari gets all the spotlight and i like to include cute nerdy assistant boy more), and ingo points at him like "SEE, he just asked who i was talking to, THAT MEANS you're as fake as always!" and emmet scoffs (still smiling in relief tho) before rei is like "actually, i meant 'who is that man who looks like you, warden?'"
ingo realizes that people can see his hallucination, somehow, and spends a brief moment horrified that some zoroark has brought his friendly illusion to life to torment him, or perhaps he's dreaming right now - before it hits him.
the illusion is... real. that's a real man standing before him, feeling very familiar, who looks just like him.
and ingo just derailed a meeting to debate with him and reveal his possibly decaying mental state.
...ingo is very embarrassed.

Played with my friend thru the union circle feature last night for ...
..... checks discord
Tumblr media
OH-
Well apparently we ran around doing nonsense for WAY longer than i thought lol. I mean i did end up staying awake waaayyy longer than either of us should have.
Anyway i wanna just talk about my general thoughts on it.
First of all: being able to follow each other around is immensely entertaining in itself. She was working on beating one of the titans and for the trip there i was just following her around watching her catch pokemon. Just existing in the same space was a lot of fun.
The picnics. They are so much fun. Being able to see each others pokemon? So cool. I only wish you could have both teams worth of pokemon out at the same time. The sandwich making mechanic with two people was much more chaotic and entertaining than i thought it would be. I can only imagine how much fun it would be with 4 people. We made some truly horrible culinary disasters together.
Taking pictures together was also so much more fun than i thought it would be. The poses you can do are adorable and we spent probably like a good hour in total just messing around with it at various points.
Anyway, here are some highlights from the nonsense we got up to that i just want to share:
Within minutes of starting the call but before i joined her game she found a shiny rockruff!! We went thru a lot of potential names(i suggested ones like Miku or Cascade) she ended up getting name Akari. She was later evolved into a midday form lycanroc while we were playing
At one point in the picnics we encountered a harmless bug where the pokemon would still be in their sleeping animations, but would be gliding around on the ground and hopping as if they were awake. It was hilarious.
We decided to have a couple battles against each other(we set everyones levels to 50, but my pokemon were fully evolved and had better moves than hers still) I won the first one pretty well just because my eelektross was a pretty good matchup against half her team(duck starter middle evo, corvisquire, and a houndoom). So we fought again with me not using it. I still won but it was pretty close. I had never really done battles against another player before now and it was REALLY fun.
At one point she decided she wanted to change her picture to a shot of her shiny lycanroc. But that things had zoomies to the max. I was on top of the pokecenter type thing just watching it all unfold and it was very entertaining. She kept pulling out her camera only for Akari to take off running circles around her at the speed of light.
We encountered another harmless bug where for whatever reason our facial expressions got stuck. Hers was just the nuetral one but for some reason my character was stuck looking like she was about to cry. It was kinda hilarious with the various poses.
We went on a shopping spree of me dragging her around to different cities so she could get new clothes. I spent probably 100k in total on clothes i definitely did not need but wanted anyway.
Here are some things i was disappointed/confused by tho:
The school still looks the same on my end, even tho i was in her world which was Scarlet. It makes sense, because otherwise i couldn't go in and do my usual things but i still found it kinda of funny. You also can't see each other while in the school.
Theres no way to spectate important fights. While she was fighting the titan it was like she just didnt exist on my end.
I would have liked a mechanic where you can do double battles against npcs or wild pokemon or something together. I think it would just be fun. I guess the tera raids kind of fulfill that? idk
For me personally its very hard to see the other players icon on the map. Its there, but its VERY easy to miss with how large the map is. I wish it was a little easier to see or differentiated itself in some way.
