This was one of the first FMA fics I ever read and honestly? Amazing. Incredible. 10/10 have read it so many times. Lots of parental Roy and Ed in just 6k!

Meaning of Hyacinths series by starryeyedchar

Another one by the same author, except this time a whole series! I remember leaving an incoherent comment on one of these fics because this series tore my damn heart out (in a good way). Still WIP, but every work is worth the read.

War Heroes and Postmortem by Akarri (tumblr: @the-original-akarri )

If you’re familiar with hurt Roy, you’re familiar with Akarri’s works (both art and writing!). These are just a few of my faves. Both explore parental and hurt Roy and honestly check all my boxes.

Ed calls Mustang a ton of different names over the years and they both deal with guilt and healing and PTSD. It’s fine. I’m fine. Loved this.
