Last Game hair style fixes, in order of who needed it most.

I've never liked the canon hair styles in Last Game. They're either hideous, or just simply don't fit the characters/style of the main series. I get its a (mostly different) art department and meant to age the characters up, but most of the time, they simply just look off-model to me. I know I'm not the only one who's got issues with the hairstyles in this movie too, so I did my best to fix them up and give them styles that I personally think suite them. Originals below cut as well as my explanations! Important to note, these are my preferences/headcanons for them so take everything I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

**Akashi isn't here, because believe it or not, I actually think his hair looks the best out of everyone in LG.

I wouldn't change it. I like to draw him with neater hair/his bangs pushed out of his face when I age him up, but for the summer after the Winter Cup - when LG takes place - the canon hair is exactly the sort of style I think he would/should have. I like the allegory that the rough chop is something he did when his mental health wasn't good, so now as his mental scars heal, it's growing back out. ❤️

Midorima

A neater/shorter hairstyle does fit Mido's character/personality, but the LG hair simply just doesn't look like the same hair type we see in the main series. Mido's hair has got the slightest wave to it (which I tend to over-exaggerate whenever I draw him).

With this in mind, I went and gave his hair some more body/volume by extending the sides. (You'll see a lack of volume/body is the key issue with the other LG hairs as well).

Murasakibara

Mura's hair in this movie looks so so flat and greasy. Now I didn't do the best job fixing it up, but this is basically how you'd go about doing it; just add more flowy strands. His hair is pretty pin-strait in canon, but there's lots of flowing strands, even when he's not moving much, which give it a clean-look.

When it's all just one limp form, like the movie does, it appears unclean as opposed to just long and sleek.

Momoi

Another victim of the lack of body/volume. The style they gave her is also simply bad, like she just took a pair of scissors and cut in a straight line. There isn't even really any style to it. Its kinda just laying there on her head, which is not what her hair usually looks like in the main series. There's always strands/some lift to it. Also Momoi has always had some sort of bangs/framing pieces in her face, so for her whole forehead to be out was just a tiny bit jarring.

I think the style I came up with is a little more mature while still having personality and life to it. Plus, LG takes place in the summer, so a shorter hair style would be more comfortable in the heat.

Kise

Kise I don't think I did a good job of fixing to my liking either. It was hard to edit it without making it look bad in general, because I really don't think this choppy sort of style suites him like at all, so it was too much to change. Now his hair is one of the better drawn ones in this movie for sure, but it feels more like a Kagami hairstyle than a Kise one to me. I just don't think his modeling agency would let him have such a choppy, hard-to-style haircut. I also think a more polished look fits his handsome, princely sort of appeal that makes him popular with girls.

Aomine

Alright, now its time for me to be playful and silly with some out-there hair styles. Aomine (and Kagami's hair) in Last Game I don't mind. After Akashi, I would say Aomine looks the best. BUT. We have NEVER seen Aomine with long hair, even in flashbacks when he's a child.

So for him to finally decide to grow out his hair - in the SUMMER HEAT - just feels like a weird move to me. Feels out of character. He strikes me as someone who likes his hair out of his face when he plays ball and just wants to roll out of bed and not worry about brushing/styling it or anything. The animators also aren't consistent in this movie and sometimes his hair looks particularly long in the front and back, which again, I don't think he'd like. This picture below and the ones above are from the same movie/take place within like a week of each other, yet look so different.

He looks cute and it definitely gives him a more youthful look; which is a weird choice, because they want to age up everyone else but Aomine in this movie. So, I think a fade would really suite him (I don't think I drew it that well tho). Keeps his hair short and out of his face but also ages him up a little more with a mature style.

Kagami

Alright, Kagami's look here is pure indulgence. @knbposting said "Kagami with a mullet" and I haven't stopped thinking about it. Sue me. His LG hair isn't bad and makes sense for his character and the time of year. But its just sorta plain. Honestly, Kise's hair style in this movie would probably suite Kagami more. I always liked how in the main series, Kagami's hair is a little scruffy in the back so I really wanted to lean into that.

Is a mullet suitable for the summer heat/something he'd like? Well, maybe not but I think it ages him up while also seeming like something he'd get at some point in his life. So here we are. I will end this with saying this is probably the longest he'd ever let his hair get.

Kuroko

Finally, we have Kuroko, whose hair I've barely changed. Now, the animators/artists do a really bad job of keeping his face on-model (eyes too beady, features too sharp) but that's a whole 'nother issue, and I managed to find a scene where they kept him on-model lol. I think a shorter, neat style is good for the summer and suites him, but a main feature of all the hair throughout the main series is the spikes/strands of hair on nearly every character - Kuroko especially - so I just added a tiny bit more here.

#22: Haruchiyo Sanzu (Akashi)

I struggled a lot with his hair in my first attempt, that's one of the reasons I didn't post my first attempt at Sanzuu, in portrait number 10.

After some trial and error, I decoded pink was not going to come out as I liked, so I switched to a blond version. I prefer him witj shorter hair in this case,it allows me to portray more movement and I thought that important in a character who covers half of his face, to avoid the whole thing looking flat. For the inking I chose the frayed lone for the same reason.

His eyelashes (something that lookrd awful in my first attempt too) are kind of a chalenge, how to make them thick and voluminoud without making them steal the attention or look unnaturally rigid? I think I succeeded this time, but it was HARD.

okay but imagine a knb realistic au in which they made a pact to dye their hair the colour that was in their name but kuroko was a rebel and decided to go for light blue because his hair was already black (can’t imagine the horror of having to bleach his hair down to platinum and then go for that light blue) and akashi was a madlad and picked magenta instead of red. i think the funniest is midorima because of his personality. like kise just bleached his hair, pretty straight forward, murasakibara probably would have gotten his sisters to bleach and dye his hair for him or something and getting that dark blue colour aomine has is pretty easy with naturally dark hair. but imagine midorima shintarou, first of his name, having to sit through more than one round of bleach to get his hair to that incredible green tone is just fucking hilarious. also this would give a lot of depth to akashi’s otherwise flat character because dyeing your hair in japan is seen as pretty thuggish and rebelious so for this kid with a shitty helicopter father to actually go and dye it magenta, a colour that is coded as feminine, is pretty hardcore.

Kuroko

Oh poor sweet, sweet Kuroko

You just came into his life on a whim and he fell hard

It started with you actually noticing he was present

One of your friends was literally about to walk straight into him—which he's used to, so he's already braced for impact—but you reach out and pull your friend away, sending him a warm smile as you walk past

He immediately gets a fuzzy feeling in his chest, a feeling that expands when you end up willingly partnering up with him for an English project

He didn't think being seen and acknowledged by another person would impact him so heavily, but damn is it nice

Kuroko believes in honesty, so once he gets to a point where every little thing you do makes his heart flutter, he decides to confess

He's so cute, he has what he's going to say all planned out to avoid any slip ups :))

You'd think nothing would go wrong with how organized he is and you're right

He does nothing wrong, but Kuroko still has the least amount of presence which leads to the saddest situation

Kuroko planned to confess to you during lunch break. The two of you went to a quiet corner of the school and ate like normally

He was a little shaky, so you asked if something was wrong and that's when he took a deep breath and started vocalizing his feelings

But moments before he formally confessed a boy from your class called your name from down the hall and literally stepped IN FRONT of Kuroko, completely cutting him off

Kuroko was . . . Irritated to say the least, but the icing on the cake is when the rude guy asked you on a date right in front of him

Any confidence Kuroko had was gone, like his entire soul just crumpled in on itself

You, on the other hand, were pissed

Although Kuroko hadn't said the words out loud, you knew exactly what he was going to say and this Bozo just ruined it

So you just flat out "No ❤️" the guy, gather your things, and grab onto Kuroko's hand to pull him into an empty classroom

You coax Tetsu into finishing his confession (he tried to protest, arguing that you wouldn't want to hear what he has to say)

You squeeze his hands reassuringly, which gives him a boost of confidence, and he finishes his confession

Aomine

Please he's so weird

He definitely has a crush on you it just took him a long ass time to realize why his stomach would get all ↗️↩️↙️ whenever he saw you

He didn't even come to that conclusion, it was Imayoshi who was like "Wow do you have a crush on them or something?" After Aomine said something dumb in front of you

Of course Aomine said no, but then he thought about it and had a "Wait a damn minute" moment

Listen he is Whipped, with a capital W, for you

But having a crush isn't going to stop him from looking at dirty magazines

You guys are literally chilling on his little roof hangout and he's actively asking if you want to watch a movie or grab some food together

And this fool is flipping through one of his magazines

He is asking you out while looking at b00bs‼️

Sir . . . That's not really how this whole dating thing works

At least look at the person you're asking out, stop hiding behind pages of women in bikinis 😭

Kise

You were special to Kise, so obviously he can't just give you a boring, old normal confession

He had to do something qUirky and fUn!

He was already confident that you liked him back, so literally anything he did he was sure you'd accept

The most perfect way to confess came to him one night

Or more accurately, his Tik Tok algorithm gave him the perfect confession idea

He was going to do the "Kissing your crush/best friend trend" with you

It was perfect! First kiss and confession all wrapped up in one!

Kise invited you to hang out with him at the Kaijou gym while he worked on some ball handling drills

Which eventually led to the two of you fooling around and trying to make really dumb shots or passes

Kise set up his phone saying he wanted to make a Tik Tok with the two of you acting all silly and you went along with it

But then he started recording and a slightly familiar audio blasted from his phone and then he was leaning in towards you and placed a hand on your hip

And then you slapped him

You panicked and slapped Kise Ryouta on the cheek

It wasn't hard, but it was enough to startle the both of you and make a bought of guilt weigh on him

You started apologizing and then he started apologizing for making you uncomfortable and it was all a huge mess

Kise honestly was close to getting teary when you smacked him. He really thought you liked him, so it was a shot to the heart when you avoided him

The two of you decided to pack up your things and go home because the gym felt a little too awkward now

When he dropped you off at your house, you placed a gentle kiss on the side of his face you slapped to make up for ruining the moment earlier

He pulled you in for take two of your first kiss shortly after

Murasakibara

I don't care what anyone says, Murasakibara is a sweetie at heart

Sure he's a bit blunt, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about the people around him

Whenever you're around, Mura just longingly looks at you. He's pretty good friends with you, but he wants more than that and doesn't really know how to act on his feelings

Everyday poor Tatsuya is forced to watch Mura pine after you, but it's like a weird pining because Mura doesn't really talk about you, he just sort of sadly watches you

Tatsuya is at his limit and is basically like "Please just talk to them, please."

So Murasakibara does what he does best, which is dragged people around to different stores to look for new snacks

And you just so happen to be his victim this time

The day was pretty chill, you just shared some snacks and explored the shopping district you were in

Murasakibara was uncharacteristically quiet and had been sort of distracted the entire day, which was cute, but made you a bit worried

The two of you eventually sat down to share one of the foods you picked up from a street stall and Mura just started chattering about you

And technically he did ask you on an official date, but he was also kind of speaking with his mouth full and uh . . . Kinda spit crumbs onto your face

Yeaaaaah it was pretty nast

He tried to casually play it off and apologized while whipping your face clean with his sleeve

He looked unbothered, BUT HE FELT SO BAD ON THE INSIDE

It was an honest mistake, but it's kinda up to you on if you accept or not 💀

Midorima

Oh god, I'm so sorry

Your family moved into the house next to his a little less than a year ago

Midorima hadn't paid much attention to you initially, but then one day you just enraptured him and he slowly started to seek out conversations with you

Just quick neighborly conversations

Which turn into him WALKING to school with you

Yes. Walking. Takao finally gets a break from carting his ass around town

Now, It's well known that Midorima puts a lot of faith into horoscopes

Maybe a little too much

So on a lucky day for cancers, mans gave it his all and asked you on a date while walking to Shutoku

And you said yes! Midorima was super sweet and you'd be lying if you said you weren't a little bit interested in him

He could have stopped there, he should have stopped there, but no

Midorima went on about how compatible the two of you are

And he started spewing out all these random facts about you and he sounded a bit. . . Stalkerish

(How the FUCK does he know your blood type?! YOU don't even know your blood type!)

Yeah talk about uncomfortable . . . You discreetly put some distance between the two of you on the street

Midorima ended up apologizing later and promised he wasn't creepy or anything

(note that he only noticed what he said when he told Takao he had asked you out and told him everything that happened)

Akashi

You may be thinking: "But Kay! How would Akashi mess up on something as important as a confession?!"

Well, your answer is he wouldn't!

Nothing goes wrong . . . Kinda

He doesn't goof up and nothing out of the ordinary happens

Akashi just takes his confession very seriously and tries to convey his feelings fully through his words

You had interacted with Akashi regularly and he was always courteous and refined

You became acquaintances in Rakuzan's library and eventually became book buds (you went to study and he went to hunt down a new novel. Eventually the both of you started sharing a table and you continued to share that same table everytime you were in the library)

You were so confused as to why this golden boy was so interested in spending his leisure time in the library with you, but hey, you weren't complaining!

The day he confessed he asked for you to walk with him around campus once you both left the library

In the quiet of one of the sunset lit hallways he gripped onto your hands and spilled his heart out to you

And it was sweet, but he went above and beyond in his words

Like some of the things made you a bit hesitant because it sounded like he was demanding you go out with him

Shit like: "I would make you the happiest person in the world." "You would be my Emperor/Empress." "My heart belongs to you and would cease beating if you turned me down." "Our future together will be perfect."

Damn, Akashi, maybe chill out a bit?

He'd probably already have some kind of fancy dinner reservation booked

I mean Akashi is super sweet, but that confession was giving 🚩🚩

Kagami

Kagami is a gentleman, but he can also be dumb of ass

You had been helping Riko run practices for a bit and eventually you were just adopted as the Seirin manager

Kagami was drawn to you, originally out of curiosity, but now it's purely because of his massive crush on you

By some grace of God, you hadn't picked up on his affections, but literally the entire team knew

It's that bad . . .

The team is begging him to confess because it's unbearable to watch him flounder everyday

The only problem is that Kagami isn't that great with words is the romantic sense, so he struggles a bit

Until he thinks of what, in his mind, was the perfect way to confess

From his time in America, he vividly remembered that people would ask their partners out by writing on a basketball (or whatever ball they used in their sport)

So he does that, whether that's a good idea or not is to be determined

Kagami writes the most basic "Want to go on a date?" on a basketball and his plan is to pass it to you during practice

You're literally just talking to Kiyoshi when Kagami calls out to you and passes the ball your way

He doesn't even do a bounce pass, this boy does a full force chest pass to you

He didn't even calculate for the height difference, so he absolutely domes you in the face with a basketball

Full contact with your nose, you are now bleeding into your hands to make an effort in stopping the blood from getting onto the court

Riko is handling your injury and literally everyone else is harassing Kagami because "whY the fUcK?! Would you dO thAT?!"

Poor baby feels terrible now

TR Boys Reaction To You Dying

Tokyo Revengers Boys (Sanzu/Haruchiyo, Rindou, Draken/Ken X Gn!Reader

Akashi “Sanzu” Haruchiyo :

Sanzu had never thought that popping pills with you would end up killing one of you from taking too much, but of course, the worst thing that could have happened, happened.

“C’mon Y/n, just two more!” Sanzu slurred his words out, leaning on you and holding two pills in his hand, the other one holding onto the counter so he wouldn’t fall over, the mix of alcohol and pills creating a dangerous combination.

You were in the same state as Sanzu, as you usually were when you were with him as it was fun with just the two of you and no one else. “Okay!” You nodded, grabbing the pills from your boyfriend’s hand and putting them in your mouth while Sanzu handed you the opened liquor bottle you both had been drinking from. You swallowed the pills and put the bottle down, giggling lightly.

“See? You’re fine, my little rockstar.” Sanzu smiled at you, holding the sides of your face before kissing you.

You kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck, tasting the mix of alcohol and different drugs put together when you kissed him. Every time you both felt amazing and in a state of euphoria when you did this. Not to mention it was quite often. You never thought about it killing you, as you didn’t worry about death when you were dating the 2nd in command of Bonten who would kill anyone for you.

It was like you were Bonnie and Clyde, two crazy people that were destined to fall in love. But of course, all happy stories have a bad ending.

Pulling away from the kiss, Sanzu looked at you and noticed you were just staring at him. Letting out a chuckle, he poked your cheek. “Feels good, right?”

When you didn’t respond, Sanzu tilted his head to the side, “Love?” he asked, poking your cheek again.

Suddenly your eyes rolled to the back of your head and your grip went loose from around his neck and you collapsed to the ground, convulsing on the cold wooden floor.

“Y/n?! Shit, Y/n?!” Sanzu started to freak out once he saw you hit the floor, dropping to his knees and pulling you onto your side so you wouldn’t choke on anything that came up. “What the fuck do I do?” He started to question himself, suddenly feeling cold sober once he realized you weren’t stopping. The pink-haired male held onto you and pulled you close to his chest, hoping that you would stop soon enough. “C’mon baby, you’re gonna be okay. Alright? You’ll be okay.”

After a few minutes, you stopped. Sanzu looked down at you with a small smile, thinking that it was all over when your head went limp, staring down at the floor. “Love?” He asked again. He lifted your head up and opened your eyelids, seeing the blank look that was in them. His eyes quickly widened as he put his two first fingers on your neck, attempting to find your pulse. When he found the spot, there wasn’t any heartbeat. “Y/n?”

That day, you had died in the love of your life’s arms. Sanzu was completely changed from that. He took more pills, mixing them with all types of alcohol, hoping that he would overdose like he accidentally made you. Whenever he was by himself he would cry so much that he would end up falling asleep with tear stains on his face and pillow. Until one day, he took too many pills like you and his body did the same as yours did before he eventually died the same way you did, because he knew he deserved the same thing for being the one who killed you.

Haitani Rindou :

Rindou always said that he would protect you, and he did. But it wasn’t enough. Just one day while he was gone at a meeting, something terrible had happened.

“Mr. Haitani Rindou, you need to follow me right now.” Someone barged into the meeting room.

“Tsh, it can wait, can’t it?” Rindou answered.

“It’s about your s/o, sir.” The man told him.

Rindou looked up as soon as he heard that and stood up, turning to Mikey and bowing, “Excuse me for a few moments, I must leave.” Before leaving the meeting room.

Once the doors closed, Rindou immediately started to run to the closest hospital where they said you would be at, sweating through his suit. But he didn’t care at the moment, he cared about you. He couldn’t deal with the thought of you leaving him while he was in a meeting and couldn’t be with you. But a part of him already knew the answer.

Rushing inside the room, Rindou saw you in the hospital bed, eyes closed with a oxygen mask on you, your body filled with bruises and cuts that made him want to kill everyone who did this to you.

Pulling up a chair and sitting next to you, Rindou grabbed your hand, immediately noticing the huge difference in temperature between your hands. He unbuttoned his suit and took off his tie, tossing both to the side as he sat next to you until you woke up.

When you did wake up, Rindou looked at you and his eyes widened when he saw your eyes staring back at his. “Y/n! Oh baby, I was so worried about you.” He leaned over and tried to hug you but you flinched in pain and he retracted himself. “Sorry.”

“Rindou?” You said weakly.

“Yes? What is it, baby?” He immediately responded.

“I love you so much. Thank you…for protecting…me.” You smiled at him before your head fell to the side and the machine showed the flat line that Rindou knew meant the worst thing possible.

“Y/n? Y/n?! Doctor! Hey, I need a doctor in here!” Rindou began to freak out, standing up and running to the door and opening it, yelling that you needed a doctor.

You died that day, with Rindou watching everything going on and how much the doctors did to try and revive you, but it didn’t work. Rindou then only spoke to his brother and Mikey, not wanting to even talk or do anything except kill the people who did that to you. And he did. He hunted down every single one and made sure they were all dead so that you would finally be in heaven in peace, and soon enough, he joined you up there.

Ryuguji “Draken” Ken :

Draken never thought that someone so important to him would have died after what happened with Emma. Maybe that was why you died, he would think to himself. Maybe it was because he wasn’t cautious enough to think something bad to someone he loved again.

It happened one night when you and Draken were on his motorcycle and driving throughout the city when you stopped to get food before going off to a more secretive spot so you two could talk and eat in peace and without worry. But once you both walked inside the restaurant you were surrounded by Tenjiku members, all of them armed with some sort of weapon. Draken put his arm around you as some sort of protection but half of the restaurant was filled with the rival gang members but he wasn’t able to stop what was happening.

Soon enough, one of the members had you in a headlock, and draken was on the floor beaten up, unable to do anything from this point on. The gang member holding you then sat you on your knees in front of Draken as another member held a aluminum baseball bat in a stance prepared to strike it at you.

“Don’t…you dare.” Draken spat out, making an attempt to climb to his feet but was beaten down again.

“Say your last words, sweetheart.” The member holding you down spoke to you with a devilish smirk on his face.

“I love you, Ken.” You smiled at your boyfriend.

“How sweet.” was all you heard before feeling cold aluminum touch the right side of your head and your vision went black.

Draken was forced to see your body hit the ground and the blood come from your head, leaving a puddle of it beneath your head. All he felt was guilt and regret now. Soon enough, sirens were heard from outside and the rival gang quickly ran out, leaving Draken there with you in the front of the restaurant. He knew you were dead only from the amount of blood leaving your head and seeing that you weren’t breathing at all. The cops rushed inside and Draken couldn’t move, he just sat there, staring at your now deceased body.

Draken was forever changed after you died. He started doing reckless things that could easily get him killed because all he could think was that he would get to see you again finally. Takemichi tried to help him the best he could but it never worked, leaving Draken completely alone after Mikey and him separated. Eventually, he died protecting Takemichi and he had a smile whilst dying, because he was happy. He was happy that he was going to see you again, and that you two wouldn’t ever be separated again.

in the aftermath of the Winter Cup, your relationship with Akashi has certainly gotten much better, and dare you say, more intimate and romantic; though you were still healing a bit from the emotional scars from Teiko, they seemed to be going away faster than you realized, especially when everyone gathers for Kuroko’s birthday party

you were with Seirin, helping with the decorations and setting up the plates before Kuroko comes in the evening, but what no one expected was for him to bring in the GoMs

YOU’RE SHOOK AND YOU’RE BASHFUL SEEING AKASHI IN HIS WINTER ATTIRE, you’re getting MAD butterflies, but no one seems to notice because everyone’s attention is on the GoMs and Kuroko

of course Akashi was scanning the room for you first, and you immediately look away from his affectionate stare because you were still not used to the old Akashi, let alone his sweeter side for only you

Izuki notices how quiet you got and nudged your ribs with his elbow before telling a stupid pun… the thing is, you were one of the few people who genuinely found his jokes funny LOL

Akashi widens his eyes, staring at you laughing so unabashedly, and he feels really, really bad that he never got that level of a reaction from you whenever you were with him even despite knowing you for longer

now as the party goes on, Akashi is seeing your dynamics with Seirin for the first time and he’s just really grateful that you found an amazing support group during your low times; he’s not particularly someone to get jealous, but he’s getting a BAD case of FOMO because he’s thinking of all the “what-if’s” and all the times he could’ve made you happy and stress-free

“Akashi-kun?”

“Ah… yes?” Akashi snaps out of his daze to see a mild smirk coming from Kuroko on his right side, and Kuroko was about to ask a question about who he was looking at before a shout of “Watch out!” and a ceramic plate came FLYING across the table to hit the Rakuzan captain square on his face

CUE SCREAMS OF PANIC AS MOMOI PUNCHES AOMINE ON THE HEAD AND RIKO JUMPS TO STRANGLE KAGAMI, AND YOU LITERALLY ZOOMED TO HIS SIDE TO CHECK ON ANY INJURIES

see, he could’ve easily dodged it, and he supposed that it’s his fault for not paying attention and dodging on time

thankfully, the plate didn’t break because Kuroko caught the plate before it reached the floor and placed it back on the table

Akashi still has a bruise or two on his face though… and ngl, everyone gulped when they saw him checking out the injuries with a handheld mirror, ready to get their ankles broken

you were so worried over his safety, he finds it really endearing… but he wants to elicit an expression other than looks of worry or tears or anger (flashback to when you cussed him out)

“Wait, but (y/n)...” Koganei said. “Since when were you so close to Akashi that you didn’t hesitate to touch his face?”

a few moments of silence for everyone to register his words

“EHHHH?????!!!!”

everyone is throwing QUESTION after QUESTION at the two of you, and Akashi just has a neutral face with his mouth parted while you were so embarrassed LMAO

Kise being a real best friend, tells them:

“Alright, alright, everyone! Let’s not forget about the birthday boy! Kurokocchi should be the center of our attention today!”

“Kise, that’s…”

“Anywho! Let’s light up the cake and find those party poppers…”

after the party though, when you all return to school, Seirin was READY to jump on you for interrogation, and you do reluctantly tell them that you and Akashi are a tentative couple

Riko: “SERIOUSLY? I mean… that’s kinda cute though…”

Hyuuga: “I mean… yeah, as long as you’re happy, it’s none of my business.”

Teppei: “I hope he treats you well, (y/n)-san.” and of course he gives you his signature head pats

Furihata, Tsuchida, Kawahara: “??????????????????? But why?”

Koganei: “Huh, guess that explains a lot.”

Kagami: “???????????? pt. 2 LMAO” and also “What do you even see in him?” in genuine curiosity

Izuki: “ I guess you two dove into this relationship without hesitation, eh? Get it, get it? Because doves are a symbol of lo—”

Kuroko simply pretends that this is the first time he’s heard of you dating Akashi, and he gives you his heartfelt congratulations, and as long as Kuroko approves of it, you feel like you’re on the right track (he’s such a good judge of character!)

you and Akashi actually live VERY far apart, considering that your schools are equally just as far in distance, but that being said, for our rich boy Akashi, distance isn’t much of a problem when he can easily find ways to come visit any time

he can also pay for your transportation to visit Rakuzan if you ever felt like visiting him too (although, you insist to pay for your own things, but he’s not having it because he says it’s a treat for him to see you too)

whenever Akashi stops by the Seirin campus to visit, he’s just kind of awkward standing there like the prince that he is, waiting for the perfect opportunity to walk in, but every time, he’d ALWAYS notice how you’re so happy being with everyone here, especially with Izuki, and his guilt just comes back full force again

he wonders if this was right of him to date you when there’s so much people who can easily do a better job in getting you to smile and be completely yourself, especially since he’s been the source of your anguish for all these months (maybe even a year or two if he was counting the duration of your entire crush on him that you assumed to be unrequited)

“Seijurō!” your voice rang out, beckoning him to walk towards you and the group

all of the Seirin teammates are so wary of him, and are all hyper aware of his movements LOL, and Kuroko is just like “hi, you’re back” very casually

Kagami uses this as a chance to challenge a one-on-one on Akashi

Kagami gets destroyed in a few minutes flat

the whole time you’re just watching Akashi with heart eyes, unbeknownst to him while he was focused on Kagami

after the interrogation and Akashi passing the “first stage” of acceptance, you and him find time to have a cute date at a local shopping district to walk around and sightsee

Akashi finds it fun, he really did, but there’s a part of him that thinks you’d have more fun with people who know you better… a.k.a. Izuki, or legit any other Seirin member

he’s visibly distracted by his own thoughts, and you wave a hand to his face, asking if this was too boring for him

“No, no, of course I’m enjoying this with you,” he muses, putting a gentle kiss to your temple. “Shall we get moving?”

“Something’s bothering you isn’t it.”

“No,” he chuckles, giving a gentle smile, but you only frown at him… once again he sees that you weren’t smiling at him

“I’m serious Sei, I want to get to know the real you,” you softly chastise, pinching his cheek. “So I also want you to speak your mind around me.”

“Oh ho… I see that your boldness is still very present here,” he says in referring to your touch.

“Oh my god, can you drop it already? That’s so embarrassing—I cussed you out one time… hey don’t change the subject!”

“Hmm…” he hums for a bit before he comes clean. “I’m afraid that I might not be the right person to be worthy by your side after hurting you for so long.”

“... What makes you think that?” He hesitates, for the first time, not being so sure of himself and his emotions; he immediately thinks of Izuki and your good chemistry with him but dismisses the thought

“... I just do not think I’m capable enough to make you happy.”

“But you are. I’m very giddy to be with you right now.”

“Even happier than when you are with… your teammates?”

“Huh?”

“I apologize,” he hurriedly says. “They are your friends. I was out of line to question them.”

“No, no, it’s okay. Talk it out to me.” He’s uncharacteristically quiet as you both continue to walk and browse through the shops, and you carefully watch Akashi while he’s examining a few souvenirs on the display, patient for him to continue talking

“... the point guard.”

“I’m sorry?”

“Seirin’s point guard.”

“Izuki-kun? What about him?”

“While I’m aware that you only spend your time with him as a good friend… I want to spend just as much of a koala-ty time with you whenever we have the chance.”

he... says this with the straightest face, and you’re utterly confused before you saw some animal plushies on the store window, and the the koala plush, and then the cogs started turning in your head

“... Did you just say a pun?”

“Was it not sufficient?”

a few moments of silence pass and Akashi thinks he did something wrong because he wanted to make you smile (HELP poor captain), before you break into hysterics

between your fits of broken laughs and wheezes, you managed to ask if he was jealous of Izuki, to which he wholeheartedly kept denying until you wouldn’t stop being persistent

you reassure him over and over that he doesn’t need to act like Izuki to make you happy, but it was a pleasant surprise to see Akashi crack a “joke” nonetheless

he’s a bit new to the concept of dating and is still quite unsure of how to navigate this PLEASE GIVE HIM TIME

the date that day was a success (some of the Seirin teammates TOTALLY weren’t spying on you mid-date or anything…)

while Seirin is okay with you dating, visiting Rakuzan ALONE with the scary-ass captain and his “CROONIES” (hint: the rest of the team LMAOO) IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY

RIKO AND HYUUGA are just like:

“What’s wrong with him coming here to visit you? Why do you gotta do the effort to visit him?”

“Uh… because I want to…”

“Yes, but who would you call to help over if something wrong happens? You’d be too far!”

“Uh, Akashi can help me if something happens.”

“With what, his scissors?” Kagami gives a deadpan look, and everyone turns to look at him in utter confusion LMAOOO like what does this redhead mean by SCISSORS???

Kuroko immediately jabs Kagami’s sides to silence him and smoothly changes the conversation before anyone asks any more questions about the “scissors” and potentially make them more reluctant to let you go

oh Kuroko, being the mediator and negotiator as always, trying to set some safety protocols for you to follow before everyone finally agrees to let you go see the infamous team alone

you know, Teppei is honestly just like, “Just go! Don’t worry about our (y/n) too much!”

Furihata is so concerned for your safety for valid reasons, but you reassure him that you won’t “die from the trip,” and no, this wouldn’t “be the last time” they’d see you before you leave

so when you stopped by Rakuzan’s gym after school after looking at the online maps, Hayama lets out a screech of terror before he starts pointing at you and calling you the “crazy ass chick” who tried to have a first-row seat ticket to death LOL

Hayama’s commotion brought everyone else’s attention to you, and Akashi was very surprised to see you all the way here

but he’s just standing at the back to watch how his teammates are reacting to you

Reo is the guy who would welcome you very warmly and would introduce you to the other team members who aren’t the starters, and he would actually ask if you were okay from last time

Nebuya is very laid back and throws a few muscle jokes much to Reo’s dismay, and he makes a comment about not you possibly not eating enough because at the time, he saw you almost tripping up your feet after you cussed out Akashi… he offers you his extra bowls if you ever feel hungry VERY SWEET GUY

Mayuzumi thinks you have balls, like who the fuck would come out alive after cussing out his captain but then COME BACK to said school of the captain… like why would you willingly walk back into the lion’s den??? so he thinks you’re dumb, but he has a shred of respect for you

Akashi is so amused at the spectacle and finally walks over to you after you noticed him

and he gives you an embrace and a chaste forehead kiss, and the entire gym goes silent

“Sei! I wanted to drop by as a surprise! Did you expect me?”

“Hm, I may have expected you to come sooner or later, but definitely not this quickly. Were transportation fees too much of a hassle?”

“Nope! I got everything covered! Do you want me to give you any chiropractic massages if you and your teammates need it?”

“You don’t need to do that, (y/n). You came here as a guest, not as a manager.”

“But…”

“Shhh, as soon as practice is done, I’ll take you anywhere you want in Kyotō. How does that sound?”

“Er… captain?” Reo holds up a hesitant finger to interrupt the two of you, while everyone else looks horrified at the sight of their captain looking serene

“Get a room, will you?” Mayuzumi only tuts in irritation while turning away to grab a nearby water bottle to down in one go

Nebuya merely stares in astonishment at the two of you, and his mind is thinking how the hell did you reel in this guy?

nah man, Hayama is GONE at this point: his brain has stopped functioning a while ago, and he’s standing there as stiff as a statue, scratching his head like a lost monkey // like he’s thinking how the fuck did this shit add up?? in his mind, he’s taking 2 plus 2 but it somehow ends up 94… that’s how he’s processing what he’s witnessing

the rest of the benchers and lower-string players are confused? who ARE you anyways?? Akashi?? dating??? that’s Rakuzan gossip of the century

TLDR; your first trip to Rakuzan may be awkward because the two of you stick out like a sore thumb, but eventually after multiple trips, the team slowly begins to consider you as one of their own

as per Akashi’s “suggestion” (hint: not a suggestion, but a strong recommendation), you were to be retreated with respect and kindness

why? Because Akashi never wants a repeat of the situation at Teiko ever again :(

as long as he is captain, and as long as he has the power and authority, he will do everything he can to make you happy and comfortable

don’t worry though, the Rakuzan starters are more than willing to punt any kid who talks shit about you

surprisingly, once Hayama comes around and accepts the fact that you were dating the captain, he’d be the most adamant and vocal protector, and he’s the one who shares the “inside tips and tricks” about the captain EEEE it’s so wholesome !!

the Rakuzan team is your certified bodyguard group, no debate

The story involves a group of Hope’s Peak alumni being gathered for physical and mental examination under the guise of being eligible for a federally-awarded grant for graduates of Hope’s Peak. However, because it’s a DR game, they’re trapped in the facility they’re gathered in and are placed in a killing game.

Hisahito “Hito” Kanbara ♂

(Note: his Name in Kanji is Written as 尚人 meaning “esteemed person” but he calls himself just “Hito” (Person) because humility is one of his largest virtues and feels it’s important to put the good of the world before himself)

The protagonist of the game, and quite honestly the perfect example of “lawful good”. A kind-hearted, genuine boy with a penchant for seeking the truth and attaining growth, he feels that this game is truly going to test his faith and his virtues while being tempted to bring violence and harm to his fellow classmates. His devotion to his “Great Mother” - Shinomoi, a goddess representing truth, faith, and luck - is what keeps him steady and strong during his time in the game, and through her divine power is he able to piece everything together and bring every trial to a complete close... at least, he believes it is her aid that allows him to do so.

A bubbly, excitable girl with a keen eye for decor and design, she’s responsible for refurnishing and garnishing the homes of hundreds of homes across Japan, even many celebrities and well-known figures. She is also an overwhelmingly positive force in the games, collecting as many “pretty” things as she can find and presenting them with kind words to anyone in need of friendship or care. Her ditzy nature can sometimes hinder trials’ progression, but she can just as easily provide many helpful clues with her 1.5 eyes for detail.

Being very soft-spoken and gentle, it’s clear that this delicate man is very deep into his self-assigned role as Vox Stratos, an Air Genasi bard that is set on a mission to travel the multiverse and bring peace to his own lands. He can be very dramatic and overzealous in his endeavors and mannerisms, but his intentions are pure and his words are always genuine. However, he tends to be quite dim in terms of piecing together the overall mystery of a trial, and will usually have to be guided by another’s explanations to fully grasp the situation. There can only be speculation as to what kind of person he may really be beneath the guise of Vox Stratos.

A quiet, scary-looking guy like him is definitely someone everyone feels wary of; in truth, it’s not like they have much to be concerned with. Outwardly, his appearance would not leave you surprised to know that he’s responsible for plotting mass graves in no time flat. Despite this, he can be quite the gentle force. His heavy spirituality and desire to keep the worlds of the living and the dead in peace make him a rather benevolent person behind the mask. He may be quiet, but he can offer some solid arguments and points during a trial, and it only aids his usefulness to the group.

Despite her stature, she is renowned as a superb force in the dentistry community - having single-handedly performed dental miracles on even the most disastrous of teeth. She is quite like a stern mother figure of the group, always keeping everyone in line and providing herself as a means of support whenever necessary. Her mind is tough and she can be very no-nonsense, but she does mean well in the end. A rather neutral force in trials and investigations, she tends to shine more outside of them and in the element of simple social contact between murders.

Famous for his ability to craft keys that open any and all locks, this cold boy is certainly a foil character of the group. He’s cocky, arrogant, and manipulative - and his only goal for this game is to escape, whatever that may mean for him. His uppity, loner behavior is backed by cold outbursts and isolation from the rest of the group, with hardly any empathy or show of concern for others’ wellbeing. Despite this, he does provide excellent talking points and arguments during trials, making him an unfortunately helpful force during investigations.

This mysterious lady is one of the most analytical and logical minds of the group, her forward-thinking mindset being a key part in how effectively she’s concocted several “miracle drugs” that have successfully aided in the world of eradicating/improving mental health. Her sharp eyes are a blessing for investigations, able to latch onto any minute detail and provide ample evidence into a trial. However, her logic cannot help but cripple her in terms of social understanding and communication with the group.

Habiki Bando ♂

This upbeat boy has a passion for drumming and an even bigger passion for making people smile. He’s the drummer for a ska band so successful and well-adored, he’s considered as “The Boy Who Made Ska Actually Cool”. His joyful nature and his constant joking (despite the fact that his humor tends to fall flat and not work) creates a very friendly appearance for him. Unfortunately, his cheeriness cannot overshadow the fact that his usefulness in trials and investigations is less-than-admirable. However, some of his capabilities may have some sort of merit down the road, if he keeps his ears open.

This foul-mouthed guy has the capability to successfully and efficiently man the wheel of any sea vessel put in front of him, and this notability is something that has built up his status as the Ultimate Captain. He’s quite the loud, rambunctious party type, and his dirty humor and sly comments are a large aspect of his outward, confident appearance. This confidence also drives him to assert control and act as the head of the party, despite most everyone’s protest. However, this confidence is faulty in trials, leading him to be more hasty in judgement. Perhaps something lies beneath that confidence that he works to hide?

Waking up with little to no personal memory, he doesn’t let this sway him in his endeavors to focus on the game and protect himself from certain death. Although he may not know much of his own life, he certainly knows how to throw around wit and banter and talk his way around any situation thrown at him. He’d prove helpful as an ally, but he could become quite the bother as an enemy. Despite his quiet charm, it’s easy to see he harbors a lot of natural sadness and pessimism, always looking to stifle his emotions with a drink or a cigarette. Whoever he may be, he clearly has a lot on his mind, even with the amnesia.

She’s quite docile and easy to startle and fluster, but her good-hearted nature and her clever mind makes her a valuable ally during the killing game.

His entire life has been in moderate isolation, having been homeschooled up until being brought to Hope’s Peak, so his communication skills amongst people his age leaves a lot to be desired. Though he lacks a fair amount of common sense and intelligence, what he does provide is a sharp eye for detail and order, and his capabilities to notice details will prove useful in his time in the killing game.

He doesn't bother dealing with people talking in his back but if threatened he can fight back surprisingly well. Once people get to know him more he turns out rather friendly but will stop any conversation about himself, his family or anything between he was fourteen and seventeen. In that time, Akashi was homeless and became a drug addict, it was a very hard hill to climb up but now he's clean, has a stable job at minimum wage and small flat, nothing much but it's already a lot to him. But he knows this is still fragile, and the call of the street is muffled in his head, but still there, whispering in his ears whenever something goes wrong...

Chihayafuru #37: The day that defines our summer

AKA. In which there is very little that is actually endearing about Megumu-tan

The semi-final against First Akashi Girls is shaping up to be the toughest match that Mizusawa has played so far. both in terms of skills and mental fortitude. Right off the bat was a psychological attack dealt completely out-of-the-blue, albeit unintentionally by Ousaka, the West representative who lost to Yumin in seeking the right to challenge Shi-chan. 

Literally just after the matched pairs for the simultaneously-occurring semi-finals were announced, Ousaka shocked all parties present by sitting down for the wrong match. It seemed that she simply was in auto-pilot mode and thought that this was already the final match, which she assumed would be between First Akashi and Fujisaki, possibly like previous years. 

Her arrogant and rude implications aside, all of this could be chalked up to absentmindedness and ditzy character type. Which does not improve my opinion of her but at least not lower it. But then she has to say this line, and against this flowery backdrop, cos that is so cutesy and shit.

*le gasp* Overconfident much? 

If I’m reading this right, it’s not the intention of the anime to make her particularly likeable or noteworthy, regardless of how many times her fanboys swoon over her so-called hot-and-cold routine. While she is certainly peculiar in allowing the camera-stalkers take pictures of her and deleting them when done, she just felt flat as a whole - almost as if she functions as more of a plot device than a developed character.    .

The later shown flashback that highlights her friends’ effort to get her to play against strong players and make her a Queen, when the person in question was not even as motivated, is frankly tangential and achieved little in giving her character any degree of real depth. In short, she absolutely doesn’t need to be likeable to be an interesting character but if this is all you can boil her down to, then it’s pretty sad. 

Chihaya, fighto!

In a way, it’s truly bracing to see Chi-chan maintain a strong presence of mind throughout the match. Unwavered by Ousaka’s thoughtless words, she charged forward in the embracing presence of her teammates. 

As Chi-chan based her assessment of Ousaka on her performance in the match against Yumin, she was taken aback by the bursts of speed that Ousaka displayed right from the first card. The way Ousaka and Akashi girls gained an edge over the Karuta 5 as soon as the match began highlighted how much of an underdog Mizusawa was - in terms of history, line-up and achievements. Thus, it came as no surprise to all that the match between Hokuo and Fujisaka was deemed the more worth-watching match - even Arata was assumed to be cheering for the seemingly stronger Hokuo, not for the lucky no-name beginner Mizusawa. Last but not least, the clear difference between Miyauchi-sensei aka. the Empress and the other team’s coaches, who all knew each other well, only further drove the point home - that Mizusawa was a complete outsider. 

It’s not like Chi-chan is particularly lacking in terms of supporters. #sudooverarata

Jokes aside, Sudo may have originally come to “cheer on” Hokuo but soon enough, his attention was captured by Chi-chan’s valiant effort against Ousaka. This moment speaks so much to me because at the heart of it, I always fancy Sudo bearing a gruding admiration and affection for Chi-chan ever since he faced that unexpected defeat at her hand, and to see him putting himself in Chi-chan’s shoes while following the match  totally warms the cockles of my heart.

“Tough luck. She shielded the “While autumn” on her right, but “While the autumn” was read instead. Couldn’t have done anything about that one.” 

As Ousaka sent two of the cards that Chi-chan liked to attack on the opponent’s side, it seemed Chi-chan might have to play defensive to protect these cards. While the thought did cross her mind, she decided to not give in to self-doubt and stayed true to Harada-sensei’s offense karuta. 

Harada-sensei reminded me so much of Sai here, appearing out of nowhere to give his disciple pointers, just like a certain Heian-era ghost! #hikarunogo

“Chihaya-chan, when in trouble, go lower right!”

And so she did, bearing in mind both her sensei’s words and Tsutomu’s advice on the cards beginning with the syllables of Ousaka’s name. She made a solid attempt at “Long last we meet” but was still not fast enough, much to the amazement of her teammates but not of Ousaka’s. 

For some reason that I frankly don’t give an ass about, Ousaka really had a thing for that “Long last we meet” card, to the point that she picked up 2 other cards that Hokuo won as well. I guess it’s not a bad way of letting the viewer know about what was going on with the Hokuo vs Fujisaki game. Seemed like the Hokuo guys are putting up a good fight. 

It was then proceeded by the flashback about Ousaka’s match against Yumin and how her talent and luck got her quite close to becoming the Queen. As I said before, she was no more interesting to me than prior this flashback. She was groomed by her coach and friends for playing in the individual tournament and seemingly couldn’t care less about her opponents in the team matches. 

Tsutomu’s reading of her teammates was absolutely spot-on - they didn’t start playing serious until they decided to help Ousaka become Queen. 

“... the people doing ablutions are the sole sign of summer.”

In spite of Ousaka’s disrespect and advantage in speed, not to mention Chi-chan’s failed attempt to grab Ousaka’s favourite card, Chi-chan had yet to buckle under the pressure of the semi-final. She held on to her offensive karuta style and finally managed to grab the first card from Ousaka. She has really come a long way to be at the team semi-final and her maturity is clear to all, none more so at this moment than Kana-chan. 

It makes perfect sense that Kana-chan would be most attuned to Chi-chan’s struggle. As Tsukuba observed from the beginning, Kana-chan would likely be the one running out of stamina the most, what with this being the 4th serious match she played in a row. Being relatively new to karuta, Kana-chan’s low level and lack of battle experience translate to her constantly facing overwhelmingly strong opponents. Frustration at being outmatched is nothing new to Kana-chan, thus making the perfect candidate to give Chi-chan the much needed emotional encouragement. 

The end of the celestial ablution evoked memories of times Chi-chan spent with Kana-chan to better appreciate the Hundred poems.

“The poem is more than 3 beginning syllables. Chihaya-chan, when this poem was written 800 years ago, they must have felt very refreshed.”

And the beauty of it all is that Kana-chan was actually leading by 4 cards! She didn’t let her 3 consecutive losses (2 of them were by 2 cards) stop her from giving her best effort at this crucial juncture of the team. 

Take that, bitch! aka. Chi-chan got her 2nd card.

“Kana-chan, I remember.” aka. why I ship Kanachi with such fervour. 

“... in my dreams i creep closer to you.”

Lawd, killing me softly with poetry and sisterhood, why don’t you?

The episode ended with Chi-chan’s resolve growing ever stronger together with her will to play karuta her way, which is all that anyone could ask of her. Her growth as a character and a karuta player will define this summer, not her loss or victory against this Ousaka girl. 

For the rest, I think that Mizusawa will pull through to the final. Ousaka may be hard to beat but it’s ridiculous if Taichi, Nishida, Kana-chan and even Tsutomu couldn’t secure over these bland, boring girls.

Midorima:

Hm.

If you give up hope on something that means the world to you.

Lately, Midorima’s character has been becoming more and more admirable to me because I’ve been thinking of how his trust in the movement of the sun, the moon, and the planets is a sign of his firm belief in concepts like destiny, fate, and especially hope. Everyone needs something or someone to put their faith in—something to believe in. A higher being. Science. Magic. The universe. Midorima chooses the universe and its influence on our lives as humans to be his motivation to desire and aspire. I think that says so fucking much about his character. Mostly, that he doesn’t give up easily at all.

So, when he sees you doing that exact thing, it ruptures his soul. I don’t think he necessarily cares what other people choose to believe in. As long as it’s something, he’s satisfied. That’s why seeing his significant other ignoring so many things to put their faith in would be bothersome. It would come out in irritation—a long speech with an accompanying grimace. Once he notices his lecturing isn’t helping you, he’d try a softer approach—no words, just (awkward) physical contact.

He’d suggest learning about astrology and to support that, he’d pull up your daily horoscope. From there, the two of you would talk about your signs and what the planets have in store for you as you snuggle into his embrace a bit more.

And in that moment, Midorima becomes your motivation to desire and aspire. For a split second, he becomes your hope.

Kuroko:

Kuroko is honest. We all know this. He lives righteously, and does his best to do so, even if it might hurt a person’s feelings. He’s the same with his partner. How he’s feeling is what he’s going to express. Point. Blank. Period. In short, his blunt nature is never compromised.

But when he’s a bit too blunt with his significant other, and his frank statements receive an expression of hurt in response, it tears him apart. Kuroko’s straightforward personality acting as a catalyst to your melancholic moments, or even worse your tears, breaks his heart into tiny little pieces and it takes him a while to pick them up. Why? He’s so quick to make sure yours is still intact.

Aomine:

He despises when his significant other fails to communicate the things needed from him in the relationship, especially for his sake. 

Aomine’s not the best at reading people’s emotional needs. It’s too difficult for him to process without extensive explanation. So, he encourages his partner to let him know what’s up when they’re mad, sad, or even happy about something he’s done to or for them.

On rare occasions when he notices you holding back for the sake of his comfort, he detests it. You don’t expect him to actually take offense to your critiques. It’s the very opposite. You think he won’t react at all. This ultimately, aches Aomine’s chest because such an expectation says that you don’t believe he cares about you and your feelings. In reality, he thinks the world of you.

He’d ask Momoi for advice on what he can do to show how much you matter to him. You almost cry when you find a gift basket of your favorite treats waiting for you on your desk in your first class.

He acts like he doesn’t know what you’re talking about when you show him the anonymous letter that is filled with his chicken scratch handwriting.

Kise:

If he witnesses you changing yourself for other people’s comfort.

Kise’s popular. He cares about what other people think of him. He cares so much that he uses it as a motivation to excel. It can be a gift or a curse, and he’s definitely made life wrap it in a box with a pretty bow on top before hurling it his way.

I feel like Kise is a person that manipulates who he is all the time for other people, but still finds a way to get back to who he really is in that maze of a mind. No one knows how, but he has a niche for understanding what complexity means for him as a person thru self-analysis. He has a different personality for different situations—different masks, different faces.

But, he’d never want that for you. It’s a world of trouble. To society, inconsistency in most things is unhealthy. As soon as someone’s personality isn’t consistent they’re seen as fake, manipulative, or deceitful and while that may be who he is at times and who he likes being for certain reasons, he doesn’t want you to deal with the problems that come with it as well.

He cares for you too much. So, he’d scold you until he turns red. And then he’d hug you close and whisper his worries for you until you promise never to bend yourself for anyone.

Murasakibara:

Hey. I have a new headcanon. Murasakibara is the king of self-care. Not the usual wearing a face mask in a bubble bath with dozens of candles surrounding while sipping water with lemon self-care. But his version of such.

He is the king of Treat Yourself—the damn ambassador of self-love. This center believes that whatever he has to do to make himself feel better, whether it be stuffing his face with five bags of chips or sleeping a whole 48 hours straight with occasional intermissions to sip the flat soda on his nightstand, it is necessary. Why? Murasakibara likes to prioritize himself and what he wants.

So, when he sees you doing the very opposite by neglecting your body’s wails for sleep, food, or hydration, it bothers him a little too much to remain careless. He whines. God, he whines. He rolls onto your frame as you try to study one last chapter. He stuffs empty goodie bags in your face to keep you from binge-watching one more episode of your favorite show. And, he doesn’t cease until you groan your defeat and stomp out of the room.

When you feel large arms wrap around your waist from behind, you can’t help but smile.

Akashi:

Akashi hates when you compare yourself to others.

He knows how hazardous that can be towards a person’s self-worth because he constantly runs from it while primarily chasing success. He’d suggest mantras every morning to get you in the right mindset for the day.

“I am my own person.”

“Because of this, I am absolute.”

“Therefore, I do not need to be anyone else.”

The first go round, he stands behind you with his hands firmly gripping your shoulders and his lips delicately touching your temple. You try to focus, but with him staring at you with those intense maroon eyes from your reflection, it’s impossible. He tells you to repeat it until it’s engraved into your brain, and tastes familiar on your tongue. Then, he hugs you so close you can feel his heart beating against your back.

It’s like every piece of him was made to give you an encouraging pat as a reminder to focus on what’s in front of you.

KnB Stage Play 3: IGNITE-ZONE (Fan Report)

I attended the evening show on April 7th held at Sunshine Theatre Hall, Ikebukuro (Tokyo). Personal & official stage pictures and my report under the cut! And yes, that is my personalised KagaKuro Itabag!

FRONT OF HOUSE 

I applied for the pre-sale lottery a few months back and scored a seat on Row 12 at the theatre. The hall itself is pretty small and cosy (about 850-ish seats in total) so I had a very good and close view of the cast on the stage! 

At the lobby, we had the usual ticket checks and up ahead was a present box table for fans to leave letters and gifts to the cast.

I am a fan of Ono Kensho so I did write a fan letter to him! This is my 2nd letter to him since I have attended two of his live appearances - MBS Anime Fes 2017 and of course this stage play. He visited Singapore a few years back, so I decided to use one of my several Singapore postcards to write him an encouraging message! #singaporerepresent . 

On the right was a pretty long queue for merch and the DVD/Blu-Ray preorders booth. I bought a t-shirt for myself since that is usually the only merch I buy at live shows/events! 

STAGE SETTING & ZONE LIGHTING EFFECTS 

Onwards into the hall and taking my seat, we can immediately see an outdoor basketball court setting with fences and four 3-metre high warped walls at all four corners of the stage. 

Alas no rotating stage floor this time, but I promise you this set is probably one of the nicest sets out of the 3 stage plays! 

The back half of the stage also has a slight incline to create the illusion of height. There are white lines running from the floor (basketball court markings), streaking across the warped walls and curving up towards the ceiling. And yes, they light up to create the effect of the ZONE!

(You can see all the white stripes lighting up and flashing around in red as Kagami entered the ZONE. It’s super cool!The same lights flash around as Kagami executed his Meteor Jam shot too!)

THE CAST 

The cast was perfect and everybody really did their best to deliver their character roles in this super strenuous 2-hour play. I swear they have perfected the squat and have thighs & calves of steel from all that semi-squat poses they have to do! 

In the first two plays, we had the stage-hands/back-up cast in those tacky black raincoats. In the 3rd play, these backup cast (called Igniters) were dressed in black pants and a black hoodie. I guess they have to be in athletic wear because they help the main cast with their stunts (lifting Kagami and Murasakibara, as well as using their bodies as launch-pad for Kuroko to jump off from). 

I want to do a special shout-out to Riko (Asami Tano)! She has the BEST facial expression during the dance number, and she was super energetic! She really really shined on stage! 

Other special mentions go to the three main boys - Ono Kensho (Kuroko), Asato Yuya (Kagami), Onuma Shouta (Aomine), they really breathed life into their characters. 

If you watch each actor close enough, you can see the boys doing something special before every match.

Ono Kensho - He likes to wipe the palm of his hands on the soles of both shoes (i guess to wipe off any sweat from the ground), before a match.

Asato Yuya - He taps the front of his shoes (the toes) with two fingers to ready his feet (or maybe to check his shoelaces).

Kawai Ryunosuke (Kiyoshi) - He likes to hit the sides of his thighs with his fists to relief his thigh muscles before each match.

I am not sure if these are their personal stage rituals or something the real character does in the anime/manga, but it was pretty cool to notice!

THE PLAY 

I won’t be going through the play scene by scene because I honestly cannot remember every single thing. Midori has written a very detailed review so you can check hers out. But I will pick out my favourite scenes from the entire play! 

And yes, we had Tsuchida (Kajimoto Daiki) warn us not to throw the ball back on stage, a staff or himself will come and get it. This announcement did come pretty late because Himuro’s ball rebounded against the curved ceiling structures and flew towards the left of the audience before the warning. Thankfully no one was hurt! 

~  KAGAMI MEETS HIMURO SCENE ~

The play opens with a KagaKuro scene where Kuroko (Ono Kensho) asks about Kagami’s (Asato Yuya) ring necklace, and  Kiyoshi Teppei (Kawai Ryunosuke) interrupts the two lovers boys’ alone time. The three of them decided to play street basketball together. 

Himuro enters the scene as the trio made their way to the ‘basketball court’, which then led to Kagami and Himuro’s beautiful English-only exchange!!!! Saito Hidenori (Himuro’s actor) pronunciation was super spot on! Asato/Kagami, you did your best too! Still a lovely treat to hear them speak English! 

Himuro: Yo, Taiga.

Kagami: Tatsuya! It’s been a while...

Himuro: Why the poker face? Aren’t you glad to see me? 

And of course Kiyoshi Teppei (Kawai Ryunosuke) interrupts their tense exchange, which led to this hilarious moment in that scene:

Kiyoshi: Er...Hello, my name is Kiyoshi Teppei. Nice to meet you. Kiyoshi means Iron..er..flat. Teppei means err, good!

Himuro: 日本語でいいよ。(You can use Japanese.)

Kagami then explained how he met Himuro in America and how they were like brothers. We also had Murasakibara enter the stage from the audience seats and eating a bag of chips (Ayukawa Taiyo really had actual chips that he was eating on stage!! And he is suuuuuuper tall gosh). 

Kuroko and Murasakibara had a tense exchange, with Kuroko smacking off Murasakibara’s hand each time the giant tried to grab his head. 

Kiyoshi went up to reintroduce himself to Murasakibara but the tall giant could not remember him. 

Himuro then demonstrates his Mirage shot with Murasakibara (omiously) looking forward to seeing them at the Winter Cup as they left. 

~  OPENING DANCE ~

The whole cast (save for Akashi because he is too cool to dance) danced to  The Other Self by Granrodeo. Each school ( Seirin High, Touou Gakuen, Shuutoku High, Yosen High) had a few minutes of team dance in the song.

As the song enters the last chorus, the entire cast came back on stage to finish the dance. 

Unfortunately, during my evening show, the huge cloth banner with the play title/logo did not fall properly, one end was still caught in the ceiling. It was left hanging there awkwardly for a few seconds before they blackout the stage, and the Igniters came rushing over, jumping and yanking the banner off from the ceiling. 

The audience was super gracious and applauded really loudly to give the cast huge encouragement for the early mishap. I am a dancer and regularly perform on stage multiple times a year, and I know small things like these can really affect the cast. I was super touched that the audience was understanding and super encouraging with their loud applause. 

~  ONSEN SCENE ~

Ahhh, the infamous onsen scene. IT WAS HILARIOUS!

So while the Igniters were jumping to tear the stuck banner off from the ceiling, the Seirin boys shuffled onto the stage and jokingly rambled...

“Ahhh, our bad　(悪いな）! Got stuck, hahaha, our bad” 

... with only the blue cloth (onsen water) covering their lower half towards the middle of the stage. But the audience was understanding and applauded, and laughed even harder at their entrance and ad-libbed lines. 

The scene began with them relaxing in the water ( we could hear the girls laughing and splashing water from a distance), and suddenly Kuroko pops up from under the cloth, all woozy from the heat. The senpais then told Kagami to take him out from the water to rest outside. And Kagami and Kuroko dived underwater (lmao) to exit the scene. 

Izuki Shun  (Matsui Yuuho) did a super lame pun which made everyone giggle in the audience.

Izuki: Ofuro, all for you.

There was one point in this scene where some boys purposely dropped the cloth which made the audience laugh so hard (we could see them wearing towels around their waist, don’t worry)

Hyuuga: OI! Misdirection up here, not down there!

Then the Touou rival team suddenly popped up like daisies from beneath the water (making the bath really crowded but super funny because everyone is all naked). And Sakurai pulled out the official match sheet from beneath the water. Seirin team was like wtf magic paper while Hyuuga teasingly reached over to touch the magic paper which did not disintegrate under the water (LMAO). 

Everyone then ‘rolled’ their way inside, omg this is so hard to describe but you know how you roll a burrito? The boys rolled themselves inwards so all of them can peer at the match assignments. IT WAS SUPER FUNNY. 

The onsen scene ends with us seeing Kagami slinging Kuroko over his shoulders, and helping him onto a bench to get a sports drink for his bae. Aomine then enters the scene, offering a Pocari Sweat to him. This scene is exactly like the anime/manga!

~  AKASHI SCISSORS SCENE ~

Kuroko goes off to meet Akashi and the GoM outside the stadium, and we had 5 banners fall from the ceiling with Midorima holding a pair of scissors, Kise holding his mobile phone, Aomine with his sneer and Murasakibara with a bar of chocolate. Of course the 4 GoM started arguing through voice-over playback and the middle banner suddenly lit up with Akashi’s silhouette.

Akashi: Sorry to keep you waiting. 

And the banner dramatically falls to show Akashi standing behind it. 

Kuroko and Akashi had some words of exchange, and of course, Kagami had to come barging in to rescue Kuroko. 

Akashi borrowed Midorima’s lucky scissors to attack Kagami, and poor baby fell to the ground in shock. Akashi then started dramatically snipping his hair which was super cool but pretty scary to watch (he had an evil/maniac air to the way he delivered his lines and cut his hair).

It was a really good scene, pretty artistically done too! 

~  TOUOU vs SEIRIN SCENE ~

O.M.G What a match! It was exhilarating to watch! SO much energy and sprinting around! It was really well choreographed! 

Aomine & Kagami went into the ZONE and the white lines running through the floor to the warped walls and ceilings lit up in red and blue flowing lights! It was so beautiful to watch! 

Of course, Touou lost the match and Aomine disappeared to sulk by himself while Momoi ran off to find him. We had the Touou captain Imayoshi (Hayashi Akihiro) make an encouraging speech to his team while many girls in the audience started sobbing. 

The scene with Momoi and Aomine was pretty sad too because Aomine was really depressed after losing the match. 

~ AOKURO TEIKOU FLASHBACK ~

I really love this scene of Aomine’s happier days in Teikou, when he genuinely still loved basketball. He (Onuma Shouta) was smiling so much!

 Momoi said there is a ghost playing in the gym and this innocent baby went to check it out, not minding a match with the unseen entity. 

Of course, when he opened the sliding doors to the gym, it was pitch black and there was no one there. The stage lighting effects was super good for this scene! OnoK/Kuroko then entered the stage and stood close behind Aomine, greeting him. Aomine freaked out and started praying on the ground. It was super cute!

Kuroko then demonstrated his shooting skills (because Aomine didn’t believe he was on the team) - missing entirely (the Igniter purposely shifted the hoop/board so the ball misses) 

But when it came to Aomine’s turn, Onuma really missed the hoop and everyone started laughing so hard.

Kuroko: Aomine-kun is really good.  Audience: *laughs harder* Aomine: *tries not to break character but he did and was biting back his laughter so hard*

We then had had the scene shift to Aomine and Kuroko being all happy practising basketball together until one day Kuroko confided that he wanted to quit and Aomine talked him out of it with some jokes:

Aomine: There is nothing bad about basketball....and (about) myself too.

The GoM and Akashi finally met Kuroko, saying that Kuroko is an interesting character to watch out for. 

~ INTERMISSION BREAK ~

FAN-SERVICE TIME!! I read on Twitter that other people experienced different versions of the intermission ad-lib, but I am so glad mine is the best!!

Kagami: I want a break.

Kuroko: ...120minutes! *runs and falls flat on his face, continues lying on the ground^

Kagami: 20 minutes! *runs over and smacks Kuroko’s ass^ Oi, get up!

(Both runs off)

~  CROSS-DRESSING SCENE ~

So Midorima and Takao cross-dressed at Midorin and Takako joshikoseis lmao (High School girls). OMG IT WAS SO FUNNY I CANNOT!!!! The spoke in falsetto voices, which was super funny! AND THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL OKAY!!!

Midorin: Himuro-san? I am a big fan, can we take a picture together>

Himuro: Sure.

Midorin: Taka-chan~ Hurry~ 

Takako: Mi-chan, wait! (all 3 pose for photos together LMAO)

~  KAGAMI & HIMURO’S RING SCENE ~ 

The sound effect that plays each time they hold up their ring necklaces was super cool. A lot of Kagami x Himuro angst and pining in this play, but it was beautifully executed each time! 

Kagami did give his ring necklace and told Kuroko to throw it away, but Kuroko kept it and returned it to him at the end of the match! It was beautiful to watch! 

~  YOSEN vs SEIRIN SCENE ~

Again, another super intense match! I am so glad the boys managed to catch some rest during the 20-minute intermission because the 2nd match was the toughest (choreographically-speaking) with all the stunts. It was so intense that Izuki (Matsui Yuuho)’s shoe flew off his foot when the team surrounded Murasakibara to mark him. Poor boy had to run and grab his shoe, put it on and deliver his lines immediately without skipping a beat. 

There were tons of jumps, sprinting up the warped walls, dashing from stage left to right! The boys were really sweating hard by then (ooo sparkly skin). This match was also emotionally hard with many intense scenes and all the actors delivered it very well. 

Also...HELLO GORGEOUS BLACK SEIRIN UNIFORMS!!! <3 

Kiyoshi and Murasakibara’s scene was very true to the manga/anime. Murasakibara did hold Kiyoshi up by one hand, and it was heartbreaking to watch! Kudos to both actors! 

A couple of girls also started sobbing at Teppei’s speech - when he had to sit out of the game after injuring himself. 

When Murasakibara entered the zone, he had purple lights swirling around him and the Igniters did a breakdance around him to create this swirling energy effect, it was really cool! 

Asato/Kagami and Ayukawa/ Murasakibara were lifted by the Igniters to make it look like they have jumped really high in the air! The effect looked really good, and it made Murasakibara’s jumps and landing look even more monstrous! 

OnoK/Kuroko also debuted his Misdirection Overflow with the help of the ZONE lights! But poor Kensho had to keep sprinting from stage left to right with the blue lights trailing after him to show his ‘powers’. I think he did it a couple of times, and each time I was praying he doesn’t trip and fall with that inhumanly-fast sprinting.   

Murasakibara’s crying scene (with the towel over his head) was also really sad and many people in the audience cried. I was close enough to the stage to really see the actor crying! It was heartbreaking to watch!

This match was more intense than the Touou match in my opinion, and I found myself holding my breath in anticipation! It was so GOOD!  

~ CURTAIN CALL ~

At the end of the play, the cast did the same opening dance but this time with Akashi finally joining in to dance! 

During curtain call, the cast took their bows to Ono Kensho’s song ‘My Story’, and all of us in the audience clapped along to the beat! 

Ono Kensho then made a speech on behalf of the cast/crew, thanking us for attending the play. He also apologised to the side of the audience where the ball was sent flying. 

He told us that while the cast will do their best in the matches on the stage, he was glad that the audience did their best defence from the seats too (LOL). 

So during their final bow, I decided to wave wildly at Ono Kensho (while everyone else was clapping to the beat of the song). He spotted my waving and actually locked eyes with me and nodded his head in acknowledgement with a smile, as he moved off the stage with the cast. OMG! I was fangirling so hard!!!

~ FINAL THOUGHTS ~  

All in all, I have to say that the play really improved this year as compared to the previous two plays! 

The choreography, stunts, costumes...everything was so beautiful! I really applaud the director for pushing the actors really hard in the 3rd play. It was like seeing the characters come to life on stage! 

 All the boys worked really hard during rehearsals and I read that they do have (very) minor accidents on stage on Twitter in every show.

If you do not know, the supporting cast and the crew in 2.5D stages DO NOT GET PAID during rehearsals.In fact, the entire cast and crew earn their income from ticket and DVD/Blu-Ray sales. 

If you want to support them, please please PLEASE buy a copy of the DVD/Blu-Ray.  Please stop pirating online. The boys really worked their butts off and they go home almost fainting from exhaustion at the end of each performance day. Asato mentioned he was so tired he fell asleep immediately when he got home. 

I believe you can also watch the live-streams and/or download the play through DMM. They should be releasing information on the Grand Finale live-viewing soon! There are tons of ways to support the industry and the boys, so there is no excuse to pirate. 

I will be watching their last third show in May again to support my boys since I will be in Tokyo that weekend. 

I can’t wait to get my hands on the DVD as well. It will be released on September 26th.

Same!! I was low-key even rooting for Rakuzan to win at some point in the end but it was obvious it wouldn't have happened. And tbh kinda controversial opinion but I'd have preferred to see a Shutoku vs Seirin in the final match where Shutoku finally wins.

Yeah totally!! He still got to win a -on-one vs Aomine, and speaking of Aomine, can we talk about his reaction to Kagami announcing he's leaving? He was all pouty and annoyed and it's cleared it has affected him the most out of the GOM (the others were pretty chill with Kagami leaving) and this reaction shows how much Aomine has come to value Kagami's basket and his presence in his life and it's clear he considered him as a friend at that point. I soo wanna read a fic on it, it reminds me of that moment in the TV show Friends when Rachel goes to take her plane and Ross is unsettled to see her leave (did you see Friends?)

Really? I never noticed any difference between Aomine's look in the movie vs the manga but now I'm gonna look at Aomine in extra game to see it. Okay but I need to talk about this cause I swear I spent the whole game focused on it: is Aomine's fringe in LAST GAME on his left or right? It kept switching every frame and I went crazy trying to follow it, in most official art, his fringe in his new look goes left but the anime got me so confused and I know it's a subtle detail but I couldn't unfocus on it.

I do like that you share my opinion on worst haircut xD and I do agree that Momoi's hair look...flat in the movie, like...meh :/ she was much cuter with strands I do agree with you. I also loved Riko's new haircut, I feel it pictured her boyish image the best out of all the previous haircuts she had.

Okay so while we're talking about Last Game, what did you think of Midorima and Akashi doing Midorima and Takao 's move and Takao's reaction to it?? I felt so betrayed the first time I saw it, I was like "noo poor Takao, you deserve better" plus I didn't really like Akashi so it didn't sit right with me but when I rewatched it, it kinda made sense they had to do this but it still hurt to see Takao say "the most compatible are these two" after all what he went through with Midorima (hehe I might be subtle self-promoting but I wrote a fic with a friend about what would happen after the match and the Midotaka confrontation 😉)

Considering the history and rivalry shutoku and seirin have, combined with the fact that the last match they played against each other ended in a tie it would've been great to see them go head to head in the finals and settle it there. In the anime series I feel like a lot of the times he looks so off from how he does in the manga. But regardless he always ends up being the coolest tbh. AFFSJDHDKD THATS ME WITH KUROKO'S FRINGE. Strengths: I consider myself a very brave person, strong-willed, highly compassionate and caring about everything and everyone. I’ll always help everyone in need, regardless of their intentions–that’s how I got robbed of a significant amount of money one day. I’m a very good listener and great at giving advices I personally don’t follow.

Weaknesses: Definitely caring about everything and everyone, I suffer for the everlasting existential crisis, constantly overthink and worry, and I tend to get stressed and anxious easily. Still, I’m highly competitive, stubborn, with a short temper and easily provoked, like a typical Aries. Due to the overthinking ability it’s hard to surprise me because whatever you’re planning to do, I’ve already thought about at least one hundred possibilities as such. Your plan B? I’ve thought about it too. I’m a hopeless romantic, I think about love all the time it’s not even funny anymore. You can be sure that if I spot a snail on the road I’ll stop to pick it up and place on the grass even if it means being late. I’m serious 90% of the time, you know, the kind of person who has a stick up their ass all the time.

Physique: I’m pretty average (5'6") when it comes to height, I’m very thin and so flat from every angle that if you put me on the water I’ll float like one of those foam boards for swimming. But not being fake humble, I have a pretty face with strong jawline, long dark hair and a whole bunch of tattoos–including a whole sleeve, some big ones on the other arm and legs. I also have some piercing.

It took me much longer to write it than I hoped for (but I had to overthink it lol). Whether I made it on time or not, I wish you a good day and a lot of motivation 😌

Originally I don’t speak English, I’m European and a Slav but don’t let it fool you–I have a very low alcohol tolerance and sometimes one beer is enough to get me wasted. Which I like to call being economical, duh. Still I’m always either sad or aggressive drunk so I’m no fun and that’s why I’m very reserved when it comes to partying. This and the fact that I can’t dance and don’t know how to chill out for a single second.

I really love snow and winter! Colder places are definitely my favourite, although I can enjoy all seasons. Maybe with a little bit less love for summer since I’m prone to sunburn and I can’t go out of the house without using the strongest baby sunscreen I could purchase, otherwise I’ll be all red and suffering. But I’m ready to risk it all if I can swim either in the pool or sea or lake, I enjoy it a lot and I’m quite a good swimmer.

I’m not really fond of horror movies; blood, gore and screams is a big 'no’ for me but I love some good psychological horror or thriller, the one which makes you stay awake at night and think over and over again about the plot twist. I’m a huge fan of Stephen King’s literature, after all. I’m also guilty of liking those Poetic Cinema movies with like two dialogue lines and neon lights 😔

My secret superpower is that I make no noise while walking and everyone is always startled because I just appear in one place or another without approaching. I try to step louder but it doesn’t help much so I tend to be called vampire because of 'looming’ inaudibly through the corridors. Speaking of which, I have slightly crooked teeth which give a little vampiric look; my friends consider it as cute, original and fitting so eventually I grow fond of it too.

I don’t think I have any particular complexes, everyone is different so no need to beat myself up because of that. Perhaps gaining some weight would help me look less like Jonny’s only friend from that Ed, Edd n Eddy cartoon but I can’t do much about it due to fast metabolism. Even though, I try to pay attention to what I eat because this fact itself doesn’t mean I should be eating whatever gets in my hands. I’m a vegetarian but I’m pretty chill about it and won’t lecture anyone unless asked to. Still, I’m literally the worst cook, I have no taste and zero creativity in the kitchen.

Listen, physically I’m hella w e a k, you can manhandle me all around. And it’s not because of the diet, I’ve always been like that, that’s why I do work out–so I can open jars by myself. I do yoga mostly so it’s not really strength enhancing but this is what relaxes me the most. I used to do martial arts too, kickboxing seemed the most fun!

I’d like to add a word or two about my collecting passion, since it truly gets me going. The oldest book I own comes from year 1787, I also have handwritten journal from 1904 and some other books with dedications or autographs–those are the most valuable for me because, you know, they still hold their previous owner’s signs. I like to take a peek into those people’s minds, not from the history books but from the point of everyday life and struggles. It can be surprising how similar we are. It’s a small collection because obviously I’m no millionaire so I just keep scrolling through the internet looking for some good opportunities to get another addition and not bankrupt while doing so. Flea markets, charity and vintage shops are where I’m myself the most, I easily get distracted for hours in places like this. Also bookstores! This is where my money goes; aside from surrounding myself with old stuff, I’m also actively enhancing my tiny library. Aside from winter when it’s really cold, I like to dress like a lady! I often wear dresses and longer skirts, heels, I wear red lipstick and do my hair. It’s only in my home where I look like a gremlin in leggins and sweaters, otherwise I pay a lot of attention to the way I look. Jewelry has to mach, perfumes too.

I try to appreciate all living creatures, even the ones like the mentioned snail or spiders. I never kill them but catch in the cup and take outside. I’m especially fond of snakes (🤡🤡🤡) though!

I’m really fucking terrible when it comes to sports, honestly, the only reason I managed to graduate PE in high school was because the teacher had mercy and allowed me to write an ESSAY BYEEE. I can’t do anything in groups (both in sport and in life), I’m weak and generally lack any skills on that field. But, as I said, I like doing yoga by myself, swimming, taking nice rides on the bike and recently I’ve grown fond of arching.

Tbh I don’t enjoy travelling a lot. I like it when I’m back home after travelling, then it’s perfect but the journey itself often stresses me a lot. Still, I love seeing new places, listening to people talk in different languages and getting to know their cultures. But I’m old-fashioned–spot me in the middle of London carrying a paper map with the places I want to visit signed with colourful pens. Every single thing has to be planned beforehand if I want to have a good time, spontaneity is terrifying.

I don’t really have any phobias, I don’t like the same stuff other people do, like loneliness or death of my closest ones but that would be it. Otherwise I’m rather brave and can handle a lot of things if necessary, especially if the person with me seems to be more scared, then I feel obligated to be the tough one and help them.

My instinct is to avoid conflict and my response is often simply ignoring it. I won’t be putting any sarcastic remarks if someone insults me, I’ll just stay quiet like🧍‍♀️And then regret not being well spoken earlier and think about it for the next 15 years. I’m definitely no silver-tongue and additionally I’m a terrible liar so in general, I’m BAD with words spoken and writing them is way easier for me. I’m generally awkward around people and I don’t mean it in cute way. I just don’t know what to say and I always think I’m making an idiot of myself. I try to be kind and nice hoping it’ll suffice ✌😔 But boi, can I be a mean bitch when I’m not in a mood or if my introvert battery is low, I aim to kill then and regret it afterwards 😶
