Cloudy rambles on: About Mari being sick... And it ends up with a search-party for her.

(This is implied to be the kimetsu academy AU)

Backstory about how Mari got sick before I ramble on about her:

It was snowing pretty heavily during the afternoon, Riko was away to do errands so it was just her, the Tokito twins who came here to study with her, and her 2 little cousins who are just...there.

During their study break, the cousins decided to ask her if she could get the ball outside of the house...while its snowing heavily. And Mari thought it wouldn't hurt to go out and just get the ball...while she's just wearing a shirt and baggy pants... So she went outside and tried to get the ball, but it slipped from her hands and she had to chase it for a while, and eventually she got it. She came back home, with snow on her ponytail hair and she looks like she could freeze to death, but despite that; her younger cousins got excited and exclaimed about how amazing Mari is while the Tokito twins just stare in concern... They hoped that Mari doesn't end up sick from that.

..But she did.

And that's how she ended up in her bed, feeling very unwell... While her sister checks up on her...

Riko is concerned and confused on how the fuck it happened... She plans to ask Mari about this when she's no longer sick. I mean, she could ask her right now...but...

When Mari is sick, she's a lot more airheaded and childish. She can't think well while she's sick, so Riko just had to guess for now on how she got sick.

Riko would've taken care of her while she's sick, but she had something important to do. But she can't just leave Mari behind like this...Especially after what happened before when she did...

Riko entered their home and it was a mess... Nothing broke, mostly. But it was a mess and she even saw Mari wearing clothes to go out, but it was not proper.

She decided that she'll call the Tokito twins to ask if they have the time to watch over her, which they did luckily!

So they're both here, while listening to Riko's instructions and telling them if anything bad happened, she'll personally kill them in their sleep just call her. Both twins agreed while looking at Mari, who seems hyperfixated on a cat plushie she has and staring deeply into it.

After Riko left, the twins would just watch over her and take care of her needs, while she whines about her older sister.

"Nee-chan had to leaaaaveeee??? But she promised to take care of meeeeee.....!!" Muichiro just pats her head gently as a way to comfort her, which somehow worked.

So Yuichiro is downstairs, preparing soup for Mari while Muichiro accompanies her and talks to her. Muichiro is struggling a bit with how Mari sometimes speaks gibberish when she's sick.

After some time passed, while Yuichiro feeds her soup. Both the twins (mostly Yuichiro) got startled when they heard 2 younger voices calling out for Mari.

It was their cousins. Seemingly peeking in the room, and confused why the twins are here since they usually don't study together at this day.

So when the twins explained to them that Mari is currently sick, both were surprised, especially knowing that Mari has a strong immunity system... Then they remembered what happened. (hahaha oopsie :3c) Misaki and Akio just looked down in shame while Yuichiro looks down at them in disappointment... Muichiro would also ask what they're doing here

Misaki would explain that Mari was gonna tutor them both, and since she's sick, of course Mari is unable to do that. And with Mari being sick, they decide to just be stupid and poke Mari while she's asleep, but they were quickly stopped by Muichiro.

"She's currently both sick and asleep. You shouldn't disturb her."

The younger cousins just pouted at him, and Muichiro sighed. (He would've flicked them if it weren't for the fact Mari would be upset at him for that...)

Yuichiro would then tell Misaki and Akio if Mari can't tutor them, both him and Muichiro could tutor them instead. Misaki was about to decline, but Akio agreed immediately. Misaki pouts at her younger brother and tell him why he agreed, which Akio answered that they were here to get tutored anyway.

So they're currently downstairs, with the Tokito twins tutoring them. Since Mari is asleep, they decide it's okay to just leave her behind and would check up after an hour.

While Misaki is currently struggling to understand what multiplication is, Akio excused himself to the bathroom. The Tokito twins didn't think much of it and just focused on tutoring Misaki.

They heard Akio greeting 'goodbye' to Mari and got confused but they thought Akio was just saying goodbye to Mari just for the sake of it, and they see Akio going downstairs with an innocent smile plastered on his face. They asked how Mari is doing.

"Oh! Mari-nee said she needed to go buy something, so she went out...by the window for some reason."

... The room went completely silent.

"WHAT???!!"

The Tokito twins immediately stood up and immediately went out, not seeing Mari in sight. The little cousins followed behind them. The twins are panicking (especially Yuichiro) since they knew Mari is not in the best condition to even go out. The twins chastised Akio for not stopping Mari while they were searching for her around the town.

"Why didn't you even try to stop Mari?!"

"She's 14, seaweed head! She can go out by herself!"

"She's sick, Akio!"

"...Right. I might've forgotten about that..." The twins sighed heavily while they continue looking for Mari. The four are (of course) worried for her. She could be in danger!

In the meanwhile, Mari is standing by the train station, dangling her legs around while blabbering to herself.

"Ooo! A train...!" ...Mari, you're in a train station.

Enmu spots Mari admiring a train, and so he goes up to her and talks to her about his love for trains. Mari just listens, humming and dangling her legs. Both seem to get along pretty well.

The Tokito twins and the younger cousins eventually found her with Enmu and just when he was about to do his usual shenanigan, Muichiro punches him, knocking him out while Yuichiro just blocks the little cousins' view. Mari seemed surprised and worried.

"Y-Yui...?? Or M..Mui??? Why'd you punch himm?? He was talking to meeee!" Mari whined to Muichiro, and he sighed, shaking his head and picked Mari up bridal style, then started walking her back to her home with Yuichiro and the younger cousins following behind.

Mari rambled to Muichiro about what she saw while she was on her way to the train station (to no surprise, she got distracted lots of times while on her way there...). Muichiro just listens to her rambling.

Eventually they all reached back home and Mari is placed back on her bed. And now Muichiro is watching over Mari while Yuichiro tutors the younger cousins.

Riko eventually came back and was relieved that everything (to what she only knows) is all good, and she thanks the twins for taking care of Mari (and of course she paid them, dw...)

Little Bonus:

Riko replaces the cold compress on Mari who is once again fast asleep. She smiles softly at her younger sister and pats her head gently. The twins decided to stay a little longer before they head back to their respective home.

"Whenever Mari is sick, she reminds me of her younger self... Part of me misses her youthful days..." Riko mused while she sits on the edge of Mari's bed. Yuichiro and Muichiro are sitting on the bean couches Mari has in her room while the Misaki and Akio sits on the floor, playing with Mari's old toys she kept in her closet. Riko still wonders on how Mari got sick in the first place... Her ears perked up when she heard her two younger cousins talking to each other, despite whispering, she could still hear them.

"Yeah...Maybe it wasn't the best idea to make Mari get the ball for us while it was snowing heavily..." Misaki whispered to her younger brother while he nodded as he continued to watch the little toy penguins climb up and slide.

Oh. So that's how she got sick.

Riko then stares at the two younger twins with a cold look on her face. The younger cousins, along with the Tokito twins noticed her angry aura as they all flinched, aside from Muichiro who raised his eyebrows only.

"Misaki. Akio. How about we talk for a while in the living room." Riko ordered with a stern look on her face. The younger cousins were intimidated by her expression and nodded before following Riko downstairs.

..Both Yuichiro and Muichiro could hear Riko harshly scolding the two.

Akihiko is 9 years old when he feels it.

The fluttering in his stomach, the warmth of his face, the tightness in his chest. At first he chalked it up to him fighting Shinji constantly, but it only really happens when Shinji patches him up afterwards. He only feels the fluttering in his stomach when Shinji gives him a smile, he only feels the warmth of his face when Shinji holds him close after a nightmare, he only feels the tightness in his chest when Shinji holds his hand, when Shinji wraps his cuts in gauze, when Shinji really does anything. It’s nice, he decides.

Akihiko is 15 when those feelings disappear, replaced by a feeling of constant, cold dread. The feeling of ice in his blood ate at his veims, the feeling of dread in his stomach settled in his gut and stayed there. Akihiko is 15 when Shinji leaves the dorm in the middle of the night with no more goodbye than a kiss on the cheek.

Akihiko is 18 when those feelings return, when his stomach swoops and his face burns and his heart screams Shinji’s name. It aches, fills him with longing.

He knows Shinji wouldn’t dare let him get close, he knows Shinji thinks it’s better to keep him at arm’s length lest he get hurt. But that doesn’t stop the painful ache in his chest, doesn’t stop the raw yearning Akihiko feels like never before.

Silently, he wonders when this changed. When a childish crush on the gangly boy in the courtyard turned into full-blown heartache for his lifelong friend. He wonders why he yearns, why he dreams of holding Shinji close. He’s never been good at feelings, but this? This is something he’s never felt before. It hurts, but Akihiko can’t seem to get rid of it.

Akihiko is almost 19 when he feels Shinji go limp in his arms. He sobs, hauls himself to his feet, still holding Shinji. He begs the others to help him get to the hospital, pleads as he feels Shinji’s blood soak his arms. It makes him nauseous.

Finally, Mitsuru helps him settle onto her motorcycle, driving off towards the hospital and arriving right as the Dark Hour ends.

Akihiko is about to turn 20 when he finally gets to hold Shinji close, finally gets to kiss him, finally gets to act on every deep-seated dream he’s had. He kisses Shinji on his 20th birthday, celebrates with everyone. Makoto, Kotone, Shinji.

Akihiko Sanada is 21 in Inaba, and life thrives around him. All is well.

the way being happy and crying have the same sort of feeling. they are the same physically but crying just feels more gut wrenching. it feels gross and nauseating. it feels like your stomach has dropped. happiness feels the same, but it somehow feels more refreshing. more clean. more uplifting. even though with both of them your face goes red, your stomach feels queasy, your eyelids push upwards. idk. maybe im weird and looking into a random thing way too much. but back to Aki... he thought he would lose the person he loved most. he loved him for so long and it hurt so much that he would lose that person. but now, they're happy and alive...

Recent update and a lil story development of my OC's childhood friends and fam

Starting with:

Fuyuko's childhood friends names

Kotake and Aki/Akitomo

Reiko's childhood friends and fam

Rei (cousin/sidekick)

Masahiro (Reiko's lil bro)

Yuma [also Reiko's brother and the middle child}

Ken (cousin/former member)

Fun fact: they used to have a super hero team called {Super Ultra Celesties} but they helped everyone around them

They quite after the age of 18 some of them

And there is like 8 members of the team

The other 2 are called Akari and Setsuko

Dynamic

Like any other member of the team each had they're own way of thinking and level of intelligence..

Akari was the strategic one and bossy

Setsuko was the advisor of the team and sense of comfort you'd turn to

Ken was doer and the one would bring a plan to life, and sometimes he could be.. a control freak.. maybe short tempered

Reiko was the childish and fun one and also the one who rushes into battle without thinking

Rei was sidekick and sometimes backup if any of us couldn't go so he'd go instead

The childhood friend

and then there was a childhood friend,

once Reiko saved him when he was only six, but behind the heroine name she was unknown to the kid, fast forward to when the kid turned 11 he was a superhero rookie but had to be saved again but his idol and he had a sort of a tiny crush on her.

Yuma and Masahiro are now mid level

He develops throughout the years and he kept on fighting solo, after the others tried convincing him to join forces shortly after Akari and Setsuko and Ken quite cause they were above the age of 18

Now there are new team members and they're only 4 of them, Reiko is the leader now called: Lady Velvet

Rei is now the strategic/sidekick

But have a long way to go

And someone have yet to reunite with their childhood friend/first love
