currently, it’s diluc, childe, qiqi, and razor, with razor being the newest member since i got him recently and i adore him to death... but i definitely need more support characters on my team so i’m really hoping i can pull zhongli soon.

1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

My zone is definitely angst with a happy ending--long or short. I love writing fics that build up to some dramatic action/moment/confrontation that the characters are then forced to resolve. I probably shouldn’t expose how formulaic all my fics are but oh well LOL

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

Other than the in-progress WIPs that are published on my AO3, I have a comedy yukikyo AU fic cooking, a secret project, and a Hatori-based one-shot that I just got the idea for today! 

The Hatori one is based around the final weeks of his and Kana’s relationship, and all the logistics that went into the decision to erase Kana’s memories. I was thinking today that that might actually be a very long, clinical process that we don’t get to see much of, and I wanted to explore it more!

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

This piece of dialogue happens in chapter 23 of Pursuit between Shigure and Tohru after Mitsuru comes by to collect a manuscript.

I’m really proud of this little exchange because of how it showcases a lot of the tension and animosity that’s been building up between them--something that isn’t super easy to do with Tohru, lol. But Shigure at this point has been on destructive path of wallowing self-pity, and Tohru is one of the few people who is able to see through it. I wanted it to feel like a little like a show-down -- Tohru’s faith in Shigure vs. Shigure’s apathy and self-sabotage.

Because this scene is part of the lead-up to Shigure’s biggest redemption moments, it was fun to play into reader expectation that Shigure is just a horrible person. I really like how cruel Shigure reads in this scene, and I also really love how Tohru doesn’t back down in the face of it. Their dynamic made it so that the scene could feel hopeless, while still planting seeds for what ends up happening down the line, and I ended up really liking how it turned out!

“You shouldn’t say things like that,” Tohru said. “She works hard.”

“She works hard for me so she doesn’t have to work hard for other authors,” Shigure asserted, still smiling. “It’s a give-and-take. She continues her wildly mediocre work, and I don’t get my manuscripts ripped apart.”

“Maybe she doesn’t have time to rip them apart because you give them to her so late.” Tohru turned around to face him.

“We don’t talk for days and the first thing you do is scold me.” Shigure clicked his tongue and shook his head. Tohru dropped her eyes.

“You’re the one…” Tohru swallowed the rest of the sentence. “Are you feeling better?”

“I’m not sick. Just hungover. No need to worry.” He shrugged. “I don’t know how I made it to my room last night, though I have an idea that you do. Unless there’s another explanation as to why I woke up with no clothes on this morning.”

“You passed out in the entrance. I couldn’t carry you in your human form… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—”

“It’s fine.” Shigure held up a hand. “I’m tired of your apologies.”

Shigure turned to walk back to his room, but Tohru was quick to grab his wrist.

“I know that you’ve been treating me this way on purpose,” she said. “I know you’re acting this way for a reason.”

“Cruelty,” Shigure said over his shoulder. “Isn’t that what Mii said?”

“If you’re trying to make me believe you’re that cold of a person, you’re going to have to try harder,” Tohru said, eyes narrowing. “I don’t believe you. I don’t believe in that side of you.”

“What’s not to believe? It’s not the tooth fairy.” Shigure was still smiling, but there was an edge to his voice. He gently pulled his wrist away.

“And neither is the side of you that’s kind,” Tohru said. “If I’m wrong, then tell me now! Be cruel to me! I’m telling you, you can!”

Shigure turned to face her, eyes narrowed in thought as he looked down at her. He stayed silent.

“Wouldn’t it be easier to apologize to Ayame than to try and prove him right?” Tohru asked softly.

Shigure didn’t break her gaze until he turned to walk away. He closed the door to his bedroom quietly, without another word.

Tohru stood alone in the hallway.

i want to be clear that the commentor akiisohma on your ask does not understand the real argument for Deaf not being disability. it is fair to mark as ableism and audism as it affects deaf/hoh but capital-D Deafness is not a disability, it is a culture and this should be respected. this is not about believing disability is bad - i am proudly disabled in other ways - but about the nature of Deaf culture where the acceptance we want is closer to ethnic group's than Disabled goals. hope this helps
