i complain about this very regularly, and i know the night shift people out there get it, but before covid, walmart was the only 24 hour grocery store in most places. when they started closing early and opening at 6 the stores became ridiculously more crowded, especially early in the morning when night shift people are having to go in as soon as the doors open to be able to fit grocery shopping into their schedules. walmart said closing at night was to reduce crowds and allow for at-night stocking but they don't even do that. when we go in the morning they're stocking. the employees are taking up 50% of aisles to restock while the night shift workers are desperately just trying to get their shopping done and go home and go to bed. it's fucked up. it's inconvenient. it's a lie. and it needs to go back. this world would not run so smoothly without people who work nights, and so many people do work nights that i can't believe there isn't more night time society, just things open at night. yes that would create more night shift workers but it would also 1. mean more things are open at night for them and 2. more jobs available
I think in a more neutral context Eiffel and Maxwell could have been friends. All of Eiffel's friends are weird girls™, and all of Alana’s friends are extremely obnoxious men. It all depends on whether or not Eiffel can resist comparing her to Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory in the first 45 minutes of talking to her.
