Two minor moments I really enjoy in the Alanna series:

The important one:

In The First Adventure when Alanna's friends tease her for not bathing and she gets sick of it and tells them off. And then they apologise even though it was just in good fun, because it hurt her. Honestly a very valuable lesson to teach children that they're allowed to tell their friends to stop doing something that hurts them, even when it isn't meant to do so.

The funny one:

In the final book when Alanna gleefully ships Thayet and Jon. She is literally going "Oh my gods my ex is gonna fall so hard for this chick, he doesn't even know it's coming, but he will NOT be able to look away and she will NOT be taking any of his shit. I will get him so good."

It's just so funny to see the transition from "Fuck this guy he hurt me so much and I don't even want to THINK about him" to "Fuck this guy I have found the perfect wife for him, and they WILL marry, and he WILL learn to behave"

Song of the Lioness Characters: Are they queer?

Alanna: YES, what the fuck, non-binary legend George: Are you joking? Bi. Gary: No, he's straight. But he is the straight guy at the pride parade wearing oh-so-many rainbows. Straight but not narrow, folks. Thom: He is gay. Yes. Alex: He is gay. BUT after hanging out with Roger for too long he started yelling at people for, quote, "using the q-slur," unquote. Raoul: Aromantic. Francis of Nond: RIP. He was a bit gay. Thayet: Bi. Buri: Bi, lesbian-leaning, gray-romantic. Big Thor: King of my heart. Queer because his name was Big Thor. The Goddess: Patron deity of heterosexuals. Liam: Straight :/ Jon: Bi-wife energy. Dated a non-binary person one time and it didn't work out. HAS had sex with George BUT didn't enjoy it and called him "bro" in bed. He tried a second time, just to see if it was a fluke. It was not. One time Raoul said, "Everyone in this group but Gary is queer,” and Jon had an existential crisis. Homophobic, despite all of his queer friends. Truly a mystery, even to himself.

Josh Schmitty Schmitstinstein has joined the party!

I made an updated outfit piece for Cookie, so it made sense to make one for Schmitty! I'm fine with how my Schmitty design looks, so there aren't any major changes. Just a few adjustments to his outfits and some new looks! I've seen many artists in the community make him a special Quip form, so I tried my own hand at it. One artist in particular who inspired me is @k1stune, who has made BEAUTIFUL Jackbox art. That squid girl is genuinely SO talented!!

Taking a page from her book, I made a TMP-inspired design! I love the idea that [REDACTED] made an outfit PURELY so Schmitty could look spooky during the Quiplash minigame. I feel like we all need to give our Schmitty's an outfit to match our [REDACTED] designs! That'd be so cool!!!

The best part of the Tortall universe is the way each protagonist politely cedes the mantle of main character energy to a new girl every four years.

About time I made a design sheet for [REDACTED], huh? I've used his fancy red look since the start, but I've seen others give him a different outfit for the first Trivia Murder Party. Figured I'd give it a try. Plus, it gives me an excuse to draw him as a child and without his shadows. It's always a joy to draw my favorite serial killer. His design hasn't changed much over time, except for some minor changes to his hair. It's been ages since I've drawn him digitally!
