run down: spending Christmas holidays together with Severus

You took the black wand which was placed on the coffee table in the living room and checked it. Holding it in your hand, you looked at the tip of your wand and really carefully waved it, lighting up the fire in the fireplace.

Placing his wand down in the other second, you knew that he was preparing the tea for himself and you. Severus was always attentive when it came to making potions. And in this case even a tea was a little potion.

“Sevy?” You called after him and you could hear how something ended in the dishes. You knew that he was finished by the time and you looked at the doors where he was supposed to walk in.

In the following few seconds Severus really walked in. He was carrying a tray with two cups on it and he walked over to the sofa. He placed the tray down onto the coffee table and as he sat down, you walked over to the sofa.

“Here,” Severus said softly and handed you the cup. He had prepared black tea for you and him and he chose your favorite mug. You wrapped your fingers around it and sat down onto the sofa, followed by Severus.

He took a blanket and wrapped it around you. Smiling a little, you kept watching your tea in the cup until he wasn’t done with adjusting the blanket. Once he withdrew his hands, you curled a little and turned with your face to Severus.

“What?” He asked you as he took his mug and you just shook your head, resting your cheek on his shoulder.

“Nothing,” you whispered to him and with your fingers wrapped around the mug, you breathed out, closing your eyes.

The silence of the room filled your ears. It was interrupted only few times by Severus who took a sip of his tea and you let your hands rest in your lap with the mug.

Your eyes slid from your hands onto his. As you saw his pale hands, you got a need to take his hands into yours and warm them a little, but you weren’t sure about that. Instead of doing anything, you decided just watch his hands and the bones which were moving as he moved his fingers.

“You can hold my hand,” Severus whispered to you and he took the cup with his other hand. You smiled at the little attention he gave you and you did the same with the cup, so you had your hand free.

Taking his bony hand into yours, you could feel every single bone in his hand. You softly ran your thumb over the back of his hand and you smiled, drinking from your cup.

Staying like this in total silence, your eyes dropped onto the fireplace. Watching the flames slowly eating the wood, you knew that it would take few days for the fire to go out because of the magic you and Severus were using.

“Sev?” You whispered into silence and moved even closer to him, laying on his muscular chest.

“Yes?”

“I love you,” you whispered this easy sentence to say and just breathed out. You knew what you felt against the man on who´s chest you were laying and next to who you had been waking up for years. But you still didn´t expect the answer which came.

“Y/n?” He asked and you looked up at him a little worried.

“Yes?” You asked back and waited for the other sentence to finish the thought.

“I love you too,” he said and something poured out in your chest. Warmth filled your whole upper body and the place where your heart was beating tickled the most at the moment.

Severus knew how you were feeling. The corners of his mouth lifted a little and his lips which were always a tiny line curled. He looked into the fire and you moved even closer to feel the warmth of his body even more. The warmth of the body of the person who was in love with you and you were in love with.

You both stayed quiet. It wasn´t important to speak in your relationship and you have realized it at the moment when you two have started dating.

Severus really carefully pulled the blanket closer and wrapped it around your body even tighter to make sure you weren´t cold. You smiled and closed your eyes, listening to his beating heart and you slowly fell asleep.

A gentle shook woke you up as Severus shook your shoulder. You lifted your head and looked at the raven haired man who was sitting next to you, clearly in uncomfortable position.

“Let´s go to the bed?” Severus suggested and you nodded your sleepy head.

“Yeah.”

Severus really gently took the blanket off his shoulders and wrapped you in it. He stood up from the couch you were sitting on and he reached out his hand. This little gesture you thought he wouldn´t be doing made you smile and reaching out your hand, you accepted his help.

Once you slipped your hand into his and Severus wrapped his fingers around your hand which looked too small in his huge palm, he helped you to get up. Standing on your own feet, you pulled the blanket closer to your body and hand in hand with Severus, you walked outside of the room.

You were holding his hand, having your hand reached out. Severus was walking in front of you, leading you to your bedroom even if you knew where was it. Once you arrived to the right doors, Severus just made a movement with his hand and he opened the doors by using magic, still holding your hand with his other one.

The fluffly black carpet you had in the bedroom stroked your feet and your eyes were already closing. You tried to keep them opened for a little longer and you smiled when you realized that the book you had given him for Christmas was on his bedside table. He had already read few pages.

“Come,” he said softly and walked with you to your side of the bed. You sat down and hid your hands under the quilt you were both sharing and you laid down. Severus walked over to his side of the bed and did the same thing as you with only one difference. He took the book from the bedside table.

“Can I lay on your chest please?” You asked, your voice half sleepy, half awake and Severus smiled.

“Of course,” she said and opened his arms. You forced yourself to move closer to the man with muscular chest and you supported yourself with your hands. Once you were straight above him, you softly dropped your body onto his chest and breathed in the scent of his pajamas.

Resting your cheek against his chest, you breathed out. Listening to his heart once again, you realized that Severus hugged you and a weight of something landed on your spine. You just smiled knowing that it was the book and you gifted him with a soft kiss onto his chest.

Your right knee was between his knees and your left knee was next to his right from the other side. You felt comfortable in this position and you felt like you would fall into your fantasy world every single second from then. You softly closed your eyes and parted your lips, breathing out.

“Cover me up,” you whispered into his chest and waited for the weight of the quilt to arrive. Severus made one soft movement with his hand and he covered you, being really gentle.

“Anything else?”

“Thank you,” you said and felt the tickling in your eyes as a sign of that you would fall asleep soon. You breathed out against his chest heavily and felt his fingers slide into your hair. The last thing you heard before falling to sleep was his soft and deep voice at the same time, saying a really sweet thing.

“Sleep well Y/n.”
