look these books have their flaws but the tmi character dynamics are so fun and it's all bc literally everyone in this book hates everyone else to some degree. jace especially just hates whoever it's funniest to hate in that moment. clary is also always screaming at whoever is closest to her but mostly bc she would rather die than express her feelings normally. simon is always annoyed bc he never has any idea what's going on but he's girl crazy so he staying anyway. isabelle is literally just vibing. and alec really really hates all of them partially because hes just a #hater at heart but mostly because he's just REALLY heterophobic
