A/n I kind of hate this mostly the ending but idk

Jackman Thomas Harlow had in his eyes captured his dream like he always has if he wanted it he went after it but their was something that was missing.

In the recent months you and Jack had talked he confessed to you about his cheating and how he was sorry the typical.

Working on your relationship is what he came to the conclusion of doing you going along Jack had been trying to win your trust back not that it matters to you but you had to play the part till the end.

You had been with Jack a draining 6 months after he cheated on you it only took you half of that to get over it and under someone else.

You were playing Jack Harlow favorite game and you were doing it better.

Waiting until Jack felt like you’re relationship was going good,great, amazing.

Your home in the Dominican Republic was completely finished from the custom rooms to the groceries in the kitchen waiting on you.

You had made the signs noticeable for jack but not too just to the point where if he thought about it he could figure it out.

“Baby where are you going” he’d call out

“I’m going to help Rebekah with her wedding planning” you lie back and he ate it up with a kiss in the cheek you were off.

You weren’t actually planning on cheating back but it kind of fell into your lap honestly you made sure that the person was aware of what this was but their was something else a connection.

You both bonded and let each other in and your in all honesty at times for hot and the plan and so did they.

“ why can’t you just stay the night” he rubbed your back as you sat up putting your shirt back on.

“ you know I can’t jack with be home in two hours” you said huffing

“When are we going to be together freely” he said moving his golden locks out of his face

“Very soon come by the house tomorrow we’ll tell him then” you ended the conversation grabbing the rest of your things and leaving.

Went you arrived home you were met with jack in the kitchen making dinner as soon as he smelt your scent he tackled you in a hug.

“Bunny I’ve missed you baby how’s the wedding planning going for Rebekah” he said making you want to roll your eyes at the stupid name.

“She just pregnant and hormonal mal and stress” you replied smelling the stew he was cooking was making you nauseous.

Swallowing the smell was too much and soon you charge for the bathroom puking what feels like your entire body into the toilet.

Hearing jack come up behind you rubbing you back even in this state you fought the urge to roll your eyes.

“Are you okay” jack asked slowly your head peaks out the toilet giving him a slow nod wanting to be left alone.

After drinking some water you drag your way upstairs and lay down for the night.

Early the next morning

Just as yesterday ended it began today the same way Jack already being gone doing whatever you confirmed the last stage.

After that having nothing to do you started packing your things and securing your flight to go to your new home.

The afternoon was filled with phone calls, store runs, and packing.

The day moved slow but nonetheless it went here you are sitting across your technical boyfriend and your lover.

After taking a breath and a quick look in the mirror your bags were already in your car walking down stairs seeing jack and Urban on the couch watching something you stepped in front.

“Mamas your bl-“ “ I’m pregnant and it’s not yours we’re done” you said with a monotone voice matching your face.

“What” was uttered as his mouth hang open it and Urbans matching for a complete different reason.

“ what you thought I would stay with you after you were fucking ruby all across the coast that weak ass apology and confession maybe it would have got me a few weeks into your mistreatment you spent half our relationship cheating on me and had the nerve to expect me to stay” you barked out

“ I love you thought you would really do something like this or is this a prank” he hoped that’s what it was it wasn’t.

Slapping the sonogram picture on the table enjoying his shocked expression fishing your sunglasses out of your pocket leaving.

Settling in on the plane First Class ironically snuggled in his hand resting on your slightly bulging belly you and urban sat with a smile.

“I can’t wait until we land for our new home and life” he stroked your tummy kissing your forehead.

“Me either baby me either” you replied making each other smile.

Prologue

Tanjiro sat, his fingers dully aching as he listened to Professor Kibutsuji prattle on with his lecture on Organic Chemistry. It seemed like his soul was being sucked away from his body as every minute passed.

The thrum of the room echo through the clutter of silence. Only the clock's ticking can be heard besides the robust sound of Professor Kibusuji’s voice.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

A slight ringing from Professor Kibutsuji’s phone broke the silence in the room; he looked down at the caller ID and sighed.

“Class dismissed. Don’t forget your research papers are due Friday at the beginning of class.”

A jovial onpour of students gathered their commodities, and they left the classroom in a trice. Tanjiro gets his things and gets ready to head to a nearby coffee shop for much-needed energy and steady work time.

He suddenly felt a slight buzz in his pocket and checked it to see a text from Kanao, his girlfriend.

Kanao: Can we meet up?

Tanjiro: Sure, I'll be at the Saccharine Sugar Coffee Shop.

Kanao said nothing else, and Tanjiro quickly headed to the tiny Cafe, which was not far from the campus.

The sweet smell of fresh confectionaries and the robust caramelized smell of the coffee tickled the inside of Tanjiro’s nostrils as he typed away on his research paper for a quick and easy way to pass the time while waiting for his girlfriend.

Soon, Tanjiro meets the familiar face of the cafe’s wholesome owner, Mitsuri Kanroji.

“Hi Tanjiro, how's your coffee?”

“It's great, thanks, Miss Kanroji.”

“Are you waiting for someone?”

“Yeah. I’m waiting for my girlfriend. She should be here any minute now.” Tanjiro said with a smile as he spoke to the shop owner about his girlfriend proudly. Kanroji nodded her head and headed to another table to chat with another customer.

She entered the coffee shop as if Kanao had heard their conversion. Tangjiro gets up from his chair to pull the one in front of him for Kanao; he leans for a kiss but is quickly brushed off.

Tanjiro slightly frowned at her action but shook it off and smiled

“Hey, Kanao. How are you today?” Kanroji asked. Mitsuri is not standing far away while attending to her other customers.

“I’m fine, Mitsuri.”

“Great, well, I’ll give you lovebirds your privacy.” Kanao cringed at the phrase. Kanroji winked and walked away to continue her tasks.

“So, what was it you wanted to talk about?” Tanjiro smiled, sitting back into the plushy seat.

“I think we should break up,” Kanao said with a semi-straight face and a half frown as she spoke slowly and clearly.

Tanjiro’s heart dropped, and his smile soon turned to a frown; his eyebrows furrowed. Her words gripped his chest with an internal force he hadn't felt before. His lungs grow heavy, and his breath is stuck in his throat.

He let out a nervous laugh, and his smile faltered as he asked, why?

“I just don’t feel that special spark anymore. I haven't for a while now. I’m sorry, Kamado-San.”

Kamado. Kamado. All familiarity between them had been forgotten with that simple word.

“It’s alright, Tsuyuri, I understand. Thank you for telling me that. I hope you find happiness.”

Tanjiro quietly packed up his things and smiled again at Tsuyuri before silently slipping out of the cafe.

Tanjiro slipped off his Nike slides and placed his bag by the small coffee table in the middle of the apartment's living area. As he closed the door to his room, his eyes started to burn, and his vision blurred.

Hot, fat, wet tears slipped down his cheeks, and he let out small sobs. Struggled breaths escaped him as his cheats heaved. His convulsive sobs were echoing through the apartment.

Thousands of thoughts crept into his mind as to why the recent events had happened—coming up with a fictional list of what he could have done wrong. A groan startled Tanjiro as he sniffed and quickly wiped his tears.

The sounds of shifting blankets came from the corner. Tanjiro looked up to find Zenitsu turning around from his stomach while rubbing his eyes tiredly. His half-sleep expressions showed concern for his roommate.

“Tanjiro, everything okay, man? What happened?”

“She broke up with me.”

Katrina grew up just south of Aurora Bay, the younger of two siblings. Her brother was a typical older sibling, teasing her half the time, being her protector the other half. It was a rather normal childhood, nothing to complain about.

As a teen, Kat always complained of pretty painful periods, but in classic boomer style, her mom always said that she was just being dramatic and that exercise would help. It didn't, however, eventually Kat just stopped mentioning it, sucking it up and trying to ignore it.

Kat also did a lot of babysitting in high school for friends, family and neighbors. This was when she discovered she was pretty good with kids. Patient, understanding, not afraid to meet them on their level. It wasn't until she was thinking about where to apply to college that she seriously considered a career with kids. And this is how she settled on Early Childhood Education.

It was during college that the friends she made noticed how badly she would suffer with pain sometimes, and finally someone talked her into seeing someone, after Kat had spent so long convincing herself it was just in her head. The first doctor she saw dismissed it as just regular cramps, and recommended using heat packs and tylenol. This did very little to help Kat's mental health. And so for the next few years, she went back to ignoring it.

Katrina took her first placement in her hometown, but a few years later, she moved to Aurora Bay and has been in town ever since. That was eight years ago.

She fell in love with the town, and has worked at Aurora Bay Elementary ever since. She has made a few friends through the kids who've been in her class, which usually doesn't bother the kids since they're still too young to be embarrassed by their parent and teacher being friends.

One day, the pain Kat was struggling through became too much and she ended up in the hospital. Luckily the doctors in AB were better than the one she'd seen before, and Kat was diagnosed with endometriosis, and it was so far advanced that she was scheduled for surgery the next week. It helped, but it wasn't a cure, but at least Kat had a doctor who believed her, and would help her with a treatment plan going forward.

Kat shares her house with an orange cat named Cheddar, who is super dopey but she loves him.
