Hello everybody. I’ve got an announcement to make. And I don’t want to make it. Ugh…where to start?

Way back on February 27th, 2014, I started posting the romantic adventure of Robin Birch and Cat Calderón. This week, the comic hit a major milestone. 10 years of Robin & Cat! Can you believe it? I can’t! For 10 years, I’ve happily written, drawn, and shared their story right here on Tumblr. And I can’t thank y’all enough for reading and supporting me for all these years.

This should be a time of unbridled excitement. I should be ecstatic! But then the news of Tumblr selling user data and posts to Midjourney and Open AI rained on the parade. I’ve opted out of data sharing, but the reports show that the data is already sold. And staff is just hoping the AI companies will remove our data if they ask nicely. Considering those companies are literally built off theft, I don’t see that happening.

It’s time for me to no longer call this place home. As of right now, no more pages are being uploaded to Tumblr. It’s not the end of the comic, though. New pages will be over on Webtoon.

Right now, all the pages will still be here. But there’s a high likelihood that I’ll pack up and leave Tumblr in the near future. I couldn’t be more appreciative of the friends I’ve met here through this queer little comic. And I’m really upset that I can’t do that here anymore. If I do finally leave Tumblr, you can find me on Bluesky and Cohost.
