"(N/N)-Chan~ You should really be nicer to me," he whined, hugging you from behind. You rolled your eyes. "Fine," you said, turning around in his arms returning the embrace.

He shut his eyes, and just enjoyed the feeling of you in his arms. The quiet of the world. The tightness of your hug, your skin on his.

If this was the life he had chosen, he had chosen correctly.

Everytime he completed a game. At night, he would go to the highest point of his game arena and look for your blimp.

The Queen of Clubs.

Everynight, he looked out, longing for your embrace once more. Your smile, for your eyes to meet his own. Your laughter.

He longed to be near you.

Everyday was uncertainty. But as long as he knew you were alive, he was fine. You gave him strength.

"She's still good?"

"Yeah.... She's good."

"You're the person I'd want to spend my last moments with," you whispered, playing with his hair. He smiled, his eyes meeting yours. "Our last moments should be spent with the ones we love the most. They should be spent regretting absolutely nothing. You still want to die with me?" He whispered back. You nodded yout head. "Wel... I don't want to die. But if... if I had to I would want it to be with you," you mumbled, hugging him.

If he hadn't known physical touch was his love language, he would have learned it with you. Your touch was like feathers of an angel brushing against his skin. He loved it.

His hand reached for your face, cupping it in his hands. "I would be dying with one regret... if I didn't do this," he whispered, kissing you softly. You kissed back, a smile on your face.

"Not kissing me would be your only regret?"

"Of course."

He once more climbed to the top of the containers. In the middle of his game this time. Just because he felt he needed to. You gave him strength and this was one of the strongest groups he'd faced.

But there was another feeling. A feeling of darkeness, pressing down on his chest and shoulders. Heavy sadness. He didn't understand why. Today felt different.

But you were there. You were fine.

He knew you, he knew you were strong. You would be ok.

"Yo, Mira look!!" You shouted, showing the woman that you had taught one of the other citizens how to do a cart wheel.

Everyone laughed together. "Enji, its your turn," you said threateningly towards the boy. He shook his head. Kyuma watched you drag him from his spot on the floor. "Come on... if Kyu can do it so can you," you pleaded with the boy. He kept trying to break away, but it was never enough.

"Fine fine fine," you mumbled, fixing his hair. The boy laughed. "Better go tell your boyfriend you love him. He might get jealous," Matsushita laughed as you helped him up. "Nah. Kyu!"

He looked over with a smile.

"I love you!"

He didn’t think his smile could get wider. But it did.

"Hey hey Jack of Hearts," you giggled, ruffling the boy's hair, using his newly acquired alias. He laughed. "He's waiting for you again by the way," he said. You nodded. "Stay safe kid. Remember... you're not always going to be the smartest in the room, yeah?" You said, a sad smile on your face. He nodded. "You too... you're worse than me somedays."

"King of Clubs," Kyuma informed you as you walked up behind him. You smiled. "What a coincidence. Queen of Clubs at your service," you said with a dramatic bow. He smiled, hugging you tightly. "You be safe. Don't be dumb. I'm looking forward to the next time I can see you," he whispered, kissing your forehead softly.

His team was winning. So he climbed back up. To thank you. For giving him the strength and motivation to keep going. To keep playing, to keep winning.

He smiled at the sight of your blimp.

That smile was quickly wiped off his face when he saw the explosion. It head straight down, and he watched in shock.

Tears filled his eyes as he watched. (Y/N), his (Y/N)...

Was gone.

He went to the docks. To think. The be alone.

You were his only reason for his success in his mind.

That ballon was his only hope of seeing you once this was all over. Just like you two had promised.

Winning his game meant nothing now.

You leaned your head on his shoulder, the other citizens talking amongst themselves.

"I'm excited for tomorrow. A bit nervous. But it is going to be ok. I know it," you whispered to him. He nodded. "Of course it will. We will be ok. And I promise when the players lose, we will see eachother again."

Arisu had tricked him. But in a way, he was happy.

He had lived his life to the fullest. Until the very end. He had no regrets...

Except for one.

"And I shall die with no regrets. Except for one. That I broke my promise to her," he said, smiling at the other man. "Who? Arisu asked. "Queen of Clubs. (L/N) (Y/N). My one and only," he whispered. "Can I ask something of you Arisu?"

"Of course."

"Go to the Queen of Clubs arena... and even though she's not there.... you tell her I said... I love her, yeah?"

Arisu nodded. He felt like Kyuma was one of the most fair and kind people he had met so far. If only they had met in the real world.

Kyuma threw his head back, raising his arms, and awaited the laser.

And darkness.

Your smile was the last thing he thought of.

"Kyu... why are you crying?"

"Oh... (Y/N)... I thought... I thought I'd lost you."

"Well... you did for a bit. But we're here now, isn't that what matters? We're together... just like you promised."

Soooo... uhhhh... yay! Big sad, but kinda happy ending?

“VICTORY!” is my new digital illustration inspired by Netflix’s Alice in Borderland and Mira Kanō ✨ This portrait is inspired by the very last episode of AIB s1. Not gonna lie, I had goosebumps the whole time and I can’t wait to see the new games in the second season. Her character got me curios to the point I want to read the manga and see what’s gonna happen next! I assigned Mira to the Queen of Hearts and let’s be honest, is there any more suitable clubs? You’ve always felt like you were being watched. Everywhere you went you felt like eyes were on you. From your work to your home. Anywhere. You just wanted it to stop, you wanted to feel at peace, but the feeling won’t leave you alone. You even contacted the police, but they couldn’t do anything about it.

You had talked to your one and only friend, Tatta, the only one who never left you. All your other friends had left, if you can even call them friends. Ever since they left all you had was Tatta. He was there for you, he was there every time another friend left. But you could only see him as a brother, not a lover. He was enraged knowing that. He was trying so hard to make you love him the same way he does for you, but you just wouldn’t. So, he had to use his other ways. If he can’t have you, no one else should.

He tried everything to make you love him the same way he does for you, but you just wouldn’t. He let it slide, until recently. You had just found a new lover. He can clearly see you fall in love with your s/o. You haven’t even shown your new s/o to him. He was even more furious at this. There was only one way he can do to fix this.

You were walking down the sidewalk till you heard footsteps behind you and you blacked out.

"I'm sorry, my beloved, but this was the only way." Someone said, it sounded familiar, but you couldn't hear well with a bag on your head. "Who are you?! What do you want from me?!" You yelled. The bag was pulled from your head. The kidnapped revealed to be Tatta. You could hardly believe what was happening! I mean, your best friend, your only friend, kidnapped you? For what reason?! Why would he do this?! Your thoughts were cut off with him continue to speak. "Please don't leave me, Y/N, I love you more than that s/o of yours." He said, dreamily (I HATE WRITING FANFICS but anyway) You couldn't speak, you had tape covering your mouth as you let out muffled sounds trying to speak. "There's no use in escaping, dear." Hearing that sent shivers down your spine. "You're mine."

How they look at you

Niragi

He looks at you like you are the best thing that ever happened to him. Maybe sometimes he looks at you like you're pray. Eyes filled with a sort of childishness as he stares at you. You can tell a lot by looking into his eyes, even if he thinks he's great at hiding it. His eyes are filled with a sort of amorous adoration that makes your heart swell and beat a thousand miles per hour.

Chishiya

Chishiya looks at you with a love that makes you feel fully admired. He looks at you with a discreet smile in his eyes, not his usual smirk. There is something so warm about his eyes, like pools of hot coffee in the golden light of a sunrise. He looks at you with eyes full of need, and all the saccharine sweet word he'd say if he tried to break down his walls.

Matsushita

Matsu looks at you with sparkling in his eyes, like you are the rarest gem on the Earth. He looks at you with genuine care, thoughts of a life with you behind them. Blowing white curtains with the sunlight streaming in from the balcony. You can't see the thoughts in his eyes, no matter how hard you look. He looks at you with wonder; how are you possibly his?

Banda

He looks at you with a look that only reads as pure adoration. Determination to make sure you feel loved, how hard he's trying to leave the man he was behind. Absolute devotion to you. His eyes have been cast in shadow until he met you. You brought light into his life. So he looks at you like he looks at the moon. In absolute adoration.

Kuina

She looks at you like you're the only person alive. You are her reason to continue loving, she says. And her eyes reflect exactly how she feels in that sense. She loves eye contact, and she's so easy to read. She likes that though. Her eyes hold so much passion and love for you, for life.

Arisu

He looks at you with an observant stare. He tries to make sure he can know what you want or need before you say something. His eyes are filled with the need to keep you safe and by his side. He wants to help you as much as possible, making sure you never feel like your needs aren’t met.

Chota

His eyes are full of care as he gazed at you. A soft and sweet stare that reads nothing but pure love. His eyes sparkle when they meet yours, like electricity just ran through him. He has expressive eyes that are so easy to read, but he doesn’t care. Shouldn’t he want you to know just how much he loves you?

Karube

He stares with a mixture of need, love, and care. He wants to care for you and make you feel like you don’t need to ask. Because he already knows. He always needs you. He wants you to just be able to look at him and just feel the care radiating from his stare.

Ann

She looks at you with an amused stare. Her eyes are usually cold and calculating, but when she looks at you that all fades away. You melt her from the inside out, and she’s amused that someone makes her feel like this. Literal heart eyes when you smile her way. Of course, you can’t see that. But she knows.
