Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot
2018 Olympic gold medalists, 2018 World champions
Aljona has a very strong Mars/Pluto conjunction in her chart in Scorpio, which is willful, driven in the extreme, action oriented and can have an uncompromising, at all costs vibe. But Bruno is an Aquarius with moon in Libra and a retrograde Mercury in Aquarius- he would rather get along, try to understand each other. Aquarians don't like being told what to do and would be more likely to get stubborn and want to rebel against demands.
In the composite chart for their relationship, Aljona and Bruno have a T-square with Sun opposing Mars, both squared by Pluto.
Sun and Mars are the planets representing the ego, Pluto is about power, Mars is anger and action, and a T-square has only hard aspects:
Sun opposite Mars: you're competitive, argumentative, with a potential for ego clashes. you have very different energy levels and paces, which cause conflicts. the energy can be harnessed to spur each other on to accomplishments, but either one trying to coach the other would cause fights.
Sun square Pluto: power dynamics are front and center in the relationship. one or both want to change things about the other.
Mars square Pluto: potential for fights, blow outs, or using a lot of energy proving you're "right." But the tremendous energy you generate can be channeled towards a common purpose to accomplish a lot.
So together you have both the power to do great things but the dynamic to clash and explode if egos aren't contained.

A goodbye
After almost 12 (!) years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to this blog. It will not be deleted though.
Here’s a (pretty rough and I’m sure not full) list of skaters featured here. They’re listed in alphabetical order by the first name (so “Ashley Wagner” is under “A” and not “W”). I know it’s not the correct way to do this thing but it was easier for me. Also, if you can’t find someone, try searching within the blog or just general Tumblr search.
Thank you for the company and bye!

But I also don't think he "missed" or was close to winning an Olympic Gold? If anything, he "won" his Olympic silver. So it's like... I don't know. Maybe I'm just very happy at where Shoma ends up now, and so I don't think he deserves anything more... but in a good way, since there are just so many incredible things that he has earned and achieved, if anything I feel like people have yet to really appreciate the "real" things that Shoma has done and how he did it. Because it's great! He doesn't have to have an Olympic Gold for people to understand just how much he has achieved.
I think your perspective is just different in this case. You don't have to agree with me or anon on this matter and it's fine. Maybe you got hung up on wording and put too much meaning into exclusive words because for me it was just discussing a perspective of wishes and how the acknowledgement of him could be different with an Olympic Gold medal.
We can all be very happy about where Shoma is now and I think all fans are. And it's great that you're happy and I understand why you don't think anything needs to be added in a positive way. For me however Shoma would deserve the world if it could be given to him.
I don't really care if he has this Olympic Gold or not but he lives in a society that does care for Gold medals especially Olympic Gold medals. Imo Yuzu's Gold medals are a huge part of why his fame blew up so much, even Nathan just got more recognition in the US because he won the Olympic Gold. He is 3 time world champion yet ppl in the US only got more aware of him because of the Olympic Gold. He wasn't in multiple talk shows and media marathons before.
I do think the Olympics play a significant part in acknowledging ppl's achievements, no matter if it's actually just another competition and no matter if it's "needed" or not for acknowledging someone's achievements. I sadly think Shoma will never get the same appreciation for his achievement as when he would win an Olympic Gold medal. It's just how I see sport often only valued in titles and medals. I don't like it as I think there is too much value on just one competition but that's how I feel it is. Shoma lives in Japan where an Olympic Gold may not matter as much as when he would live in Germany so he still gets a good share of acknowledgment for his work. German media and ppl only began to appreciate Aljona Savchenko when she won Olympic Gold even though she was 4 time world champion before her Olympic title. And that happens to almost all athletes here unless you're from a popular sport.
This is the only real reason I do think it would be great for him to have an Olympic Gold medal.
You're right that ppl should appreciate Shoma's way and "real" achievements more but I don't think it will happen in the same amount simply because he lacks the Olympic Gold. But tbh I don't think what Shoma brought to skating can be valued in titles and achievements either because it's more the way he fought for all his achievements instead of the achievements itself. And this will never be valued as highly by the "normal" ppl as simple counting of records and titles. Because most ppl don't know Shoma's words or see his different take on skating, they just watch him at competitions and see the results. It's just ppl more knowledgeable in skating who can appreciate Shoma in this way.
(We can discuss if Shoma "missed out" on the Olympic Gold. I think it's a matter of perspective and what "missing out" means. I think anyone getting on the podium who had a chance on winning missed out on winning. I think he won the Silver medal in 2018, but if he would have landed the 4Loop (which he was definitely capable off) he might have even won Gold in 2018. But it didn't happen and that's also fine.)
Sorry it got very long. I was thinking about making this answer private but as this was an open discussion I think your opinion should also be seen.
