akutagawa would be pyro polearm?? or sword?? and he's obviously a heavy dps that scales off crit rate/dmg and tenma tengai could be similar to cyno's burst when, once activated, increases def while simultaneously raising rashomon's atk

chuuya would be an anemo catalyst dps similar to wanderer bc of his gravity manipulation and he would have a melee stance where he atks from the ground and an elevated state where he uses gravity manipulation to be able to atk off-ground. his ult would be corruption obviously and would parallel xiao's where his atk and crit rate/dmg are sharply increased but he undergoes continuous dmg until the duration of his burst ends (in this state he is vulnerable as his def is lowered and he isn't able to accumulate energy meaning he needs a team built around him, preferably with a healer and a shielder)

Hey now that Good Luck Jake! is completed I can share the fucking Matt Murdock backstory that I mentioned really really want to establish. I mentioned some joke headcanons/elements of the AU (there are very little differences.) here but I can go into detail without spoiling now.

The Marvel Universe is weird and insane things constantly happen and there's entire magic civilizations. Although the superhero thing and the insane quantity of apocalypses is mostly new, a lot of stuff that is bonkers to us is probably normal to them even before superhero stuff starts happening.

Therefore, I think there's a ninja industrial complex.

Matt is a victim of this ninja industrial complex.

Recruited as part of an urban outreach program serving/exploiting underprivileged youth (turning them into ninjas), he was recruited by Stick and joined ninja ROTC. Although he was a real whiz kid in the business and showed a lot of potential for career mobility, Matt wanted to escape this ninja-to-cultist pipeline.

Matt believes in choices! As a young kid he was railroaded into academics and as a teenager he's railroaded into the ninja thing. Everybody who raised him instilled in him a very strong passion for justice, righteousness, and ethics, but as he gets older he begins to believe that there's a better way than vanquishing rival ninja clans. He's insanely morally aggressive because he was raised highly moralistically with an intense sense of right and wrong, but he believes that God showed him his own path into crusading for right and wrong. Since he was fifteen, his life dream was to become an ordinary person. A law abiding member of society. Someone who does the right thing without murder and fights for the weak instead of against the strong.

A lawyer.

Matt really really wants to be Just A Dude. He begs Stick to let him go to law school ("Ninjahood isn't my dream, Dad, it's yours!"). He is aggressively normal. He insists that he is normal. Yes he's a ninja but he's just some guy and ninjas have exploitive business practices anyway. Ignore all the batshit stuff I do I am a normal member of your study group. He is a man without fear because he has no idea what is normal in society or not.

The ninja thing is common knowledge, so Matt does more 'hide his extra-sensory superpowers' than 'pretend to be ordinarily and 100% blind'. This isn't weird because there are a lot of blind kung fu masters. Matt insists that blind kung fu masters are a dime a dozen. Foggy thinks that Matt is objectively the coolest person alive but that they don't teach you social skills at ninja school.

Of course, this never raises any suspicions about him being Daredevil. Daredevil is, obviously, a boxer.

If you were to ask him about any of this he'd just go 'can't help being a Libra' and backflip away.

Hypocritically(?) finding myself in a difficult position to fav human characters often unless they're goofy and silly-looking so it also pains me to see my self-insert in a 3rd person's view that way too;

I try my best to give Helena consistent character for being the main equivalent of Hope In Humanity; spending time with a normal ""boring"" human after all the stuff you've consumed or gone through so many times.

She would insist you to take it easy and give yourself a break. A compassionate and sympathetic being. Would listen to you.

It obviously doesn't look like she's one but that's the thing; nobody would give her a chance because she blends well in the crowd, when in reality, Helena is a rare treasure waiting to be cared and cherished for.

So imagine willing to give someone like Helena a chance. Maybe that'll change your perspective of her.

Adventures in cringe. Romance as a concept doesn’t exist but there are certain connotations to romance whence we can extract some kind of general experience. Sensuality. Physical contact. Use of stock gestures designed to induce pleasure (chocolate tastes good. Flowers look nice) in a generalized recipient. Exclusive time commitment. Focus on flattery and physical appearance as means of communication. Whatever. All, some, or none of the above, romance as a concept is entirely useless except for that fact that it Exists in the same way a magnetic field exists. You don’t notice it until you find a differently polarized object. A magnet can just be a regular old piece of metal if it never meets another piece of iron.

So romance is an undefinable thing that is both the focus of so much storytelling and obfuscated by the storytelling around itself. You may not know you’re aromantic until you come hard up against a romance. We’re all just making it up as we go along. It’s interesting to see how people treat the concept from an outside perspective. If a romance and a close friendship are functionally indistinguishable, why is one so valourized and one so disdained? Why is one policed and one ignored? Why can you feel the difference like a magnetic repulsion? From the limited writing I’ve seen, aro characters are portrayed as distant friends, comic relief, characters who are cheerfully married to their work, characters who just don’t like people.

Fair enough, these people exist, good for them. What feels kind of odd is that to me the defining feature of aromanticism is loneliness. No non-romantic non-blood relationship is ever going to be as valued as a sexual romantic partnership, so why even bother? Why hope to share your dreams and secrets with a person who isn’t your direct biological relation? Your life is going to be spent in a studio apartment buying the most expensive grocery portions by weight and eating the drywall because the only human beings you talk to in a day are coworkers and there will be no one to hear your screams. I don’t know. Everyone’s experience is different. It just clangs to me that the trope is an aro character regretfully have to block allo characters out of their lives when it’s the other way around. In my experience. It doesn’t go -> A: I have an immense liking and admiration for this person B: lmao no A: ah my feelings have been rejected. It goes -> A: I want to perform rituals with this person to the exclusion of all other people and normal person activities B: the ‘me’ you’re performing rituals around doesn’t exist and by ignoring the ‘me’ that does exist you are rejecting my feelings for you A: well I’ll just find someone else.
