#! aizawa!!!! eee
#! hes a levelheaded man so arguments are rare
#! u both trust one another so theres no reason to have doubts in ur relationship
#! being his s/o, he tells u things thats not so easy to tell others over time, and you’re patient enough to let him take however much time he needs to let u in
#! however, years of keeping to himself most of the time doesnt just disappear even if you’re his s/o
#! so aizawa does have this tendency to close off and distance himself from u bc of his stress and insecurities
walking through the spacious halls of ua, you were headed towards your lovely boyfriend. aizawas been pretty busy lately with teaching his class, making sure no one is being left behind progress wise, doing his job as a pro-hero, and then spending his free time training with shinsou.
you knew showing up at school unexpectedly was something aizawa found irky, that’s why you made sure to tell him the night before that you would be coming during lunch time to bring him some yummy homemade food.
humming softly to yourself, you finally reached the door opening to class 1-A and walked in. the classroom was empty, but there at the front was no one other than mr. aizawa shouta. you quickly greeted him with a smile and he turned to look at you.
“what are you doing here?” he slowly asked with a look of confusion.
“i brought you some food! did you eat yet? i hope not, i made-,” you quickly stopped talking once you noticed the look he was giving you.
“why are you here? i already told you, you shouldnt be showing up without letting me know first. our relationship is quiet, if the students see they’ll get noisy and ask questions, i’ll get bombarded by my colleagues, and it’ll put you in danger if words get out. did anyone see you coming here? can you listen to me for once instead of continuing to always be near me? you’re so damn clingy and need to start thinking about the consequences your action will bring. i already ate, just go home before anything happens.”
your jaw dropped a little after hearing what he just said to you. did he not remember what you told him last night?
worst of all, you couldnt believe he just called you clingy. you just wanted to do something nice for him by making his favorite food hoping that it’ll relieve some of the stress thats been building up, but he just thought of you as clingy.
fine, if clingy is what you are then you’ll stop bothering him. you quickly whispered an apology, not sure if he could hear or not, and began making your way back home as fast as possible. the food you made for him was still tightly grasped in your hand.
due to the new dormitories, aizawa stays at ua majority of the time. he comes home to your shared apartment whenever he can to spend time with you. unfortunately, those time aren’t usually much because as soon as he’s free, he’s quick to do something else.
once you’ve made it home, you packed the food away and put it in the fridge. you felt your phone buzzing repeatedly, already guessing who it could possibly be, you took it out to see it was your boyfriend.
shou <3: im sorry
shou <3: honey, im so sorry. pls text me back when u can
shou <3: i know what i said hurted u, but i promise u i dont mean it. pls just call me or text me so we can talk about this
shou <3: i have to go back now. but i love u. so much.
staring at your screen, you contemplated texting him back.
letting out a sigh, you decided not to.
putting your phone to the side, you walked to the bedroom and changed out of your clothes into the comfy pjs you were wearing right before you left.
seeing that there was nothing for you to do other than wallow in your insecurities and let out a few tears, you got into bed and made yourself comfortable for an afternoon nap.
aizawa on the other hand was at school and distracted. his own words kept replaying over and over in his head and all he wants to do is smack himself a few times (after comforting u ofc).
his students could tell he was in a badder mood than usual so they collectively agreed to not worsen it (one particular student does not care. can u guess?). aizawa just wanted the day to pass so he can apologize to you directly and make it up with some cuddling.
despite being distracted with planning his apology and thinking about you, he was still teaching as he should and constantly telling his students to be quiet because he’s intimidating like that.
a few hours passed, the students are back in their dorms and some of the teachers are still in school finishing up some work. the hallways were empty and silent, and the weather outside was nice and calm - not too sunny with just the right amount of wind.
however, if you were to peek your head inside of class 1-A at the moment, the environment is an exact 180. aizawa is quickly trying to grade the remaining stack of papers he has on his desk so he can leave as soon as he can. there’s papers everywhere, he’s not so sure where the answer key went off to but to hell with the answer key. he just needs to go home.
his hair is messily tied up and his lips have probably been gnawed off by now. as soon as school ended, he got out his phone to see if you replied and sadly you didn’t. he doesn’t blame you though, considering all of the shit he said to you earlier.
finally writing down the fat score in red pen onto the final paper, he gathers everything and put to the side of his desk and packed up his stuff. his stuff being his yellow sleeping bag and that’s it.
he went to his room first to clean himself up a bit, and then grabbed a taxi to go to your shared apartment. arriving at the front door, he takes out his copy of the key and entered.
first thing he noticed while entering and taking off his shoes was that the apartment was dark and quiet. he made his way to the kitchen first and turned on its lights to check the fridge. in the fridge laid the food you made for him earlier today. he took it out to start heating it up in the microwave then he walks away from the food and to your bedroom.
quietly opening the door, he poked his head in to see you laying on your side with your back facing the door. he assumed you were asleep and gently closed the door to not wake you up. he made his way over to the bed and sat on the edge of it.
you, feeling the bed dip, slowly opened your eyes to be greeted with the sight of your boyfriend gingerly brushing his fingertips across your cheekbones. he notices that you’re awake and looks up to meet your eyes.
making eye contact with him, you quietly grunted and brought the blanket up to cover your face while turning your entire body to the other side to ignore him. aizawa sighed and brought his hand down to rest on your waist as he begins talking.
“yn... i know you’re.. mad at me for the things i said to you earlier, but i’m truly sorry. i know saying i didn’t mean it isn’t good enough for you to forgive me, but i want you to know i’m really really sorry. i’ve been so busy for the past few days, my head is all over the place, seeing you at school just got me overthinking and worried that i ended up saying things about you that’s not true at all. i love you so much, hun. you’re the best thing to happen to me. you don’t have to forgive me now, i understand if you want some space.”
it was silent for some time after he finished his apology. the echoing silence was slowly making aizawa worried that you’ll leave him, but he won’t tell you that. thinking that you wanted space, he lifted his shaky hand off of your waist and moved to get off of the bed when you suddenly grabbed onto his hand to keep him there.
“i...i told you the day before that i was going to be visiting you during lunch time. did you not remember? or even hear me tell you?”
aizawa situated himself back down onto the bed before replying. “if i’m being honest, i don’t really remember much of that day at all. my brain was occupied with work and rest, so i was practically drained by the end of the night. i’m sorry i took it out on you, it’s my fault for overworking when i know you’ve been trying to help.”
letting out a soft sigh, you turned your body back towards him. still holding onto his hand, you carefully slotted your fingers in between his and pulled him down to lay with you. he immediately found comfort in this and placed his head into your neck. you could feel his facial hair against your skin making you let out a quiet giggle.
“i love you. i know you have a habit to overwork since that’s all you did before we dated, but please shou, take care of yourself. im not talking physically, cuz you’re already so damn fine, but mentally. i hate seeing you bury yourself in work and training that it even makes me tired just watching you.”
he grumbled something against your neck - his usual reaction to you complimenting him - and held onto you tighter while putting light kisses on your collarbone.
“i know. i will. please bear with me, i know i’m a pain but i’ll always try to be my best for you. i’m never letting you go, love you too much for that.”
“hmm? who said i’m going? you’re stuck with me forever just so you know,” you laughed and patted his head before rising from the bed.
“i heard you heating up the food earlier. get up and come eat,” you tugged aizawa to get him off the bed.
he grumbled once again because he was being forced to leave the warm comfort of your shared bed, but followed you out anyway holding onto your hand.
“wait. you heard me entering? so you were pretending to sleep when i got here?! not funny, babe. not funny. -also don’t take sleep for granted. i did and look where that got me. stop laughing!”
Tumblr media
bonus:
it was the next day and aizawa just finished passing out the grades he rushed grading yesterday. even though it was rushed, he was confident that there wasn’t any mistakes-
“aizawa sensei, you marked this question wrong when it’s right. this one too. and this other one on the last page. are you trying to fail me?!” denki dramatically wailed as he showed aizawa his papers.
guess he did make mistakes after all.

Can I request a romantic Bull and Delton drabble? They're so precious together. I love your blog so much!
Aww, thank you nonny! You have brought a smile onto this face of mine! Unfortunately, I appear to be allergic to drabbles, so this may have turned into a full fic. I apologise u_u
Delton x Iron Bull (Redbull) - approx 2700 words, most under the cut
In which Bull surprises Delton in more ways than one, Delton surprises him right back, and they both reveal something important to each other.
“All right… how much longer do I have to go blind for?”
Delton couldn’t help but smile as he heard Iron Bull let outa low, pleased chuckle from behind him. The blindfold had seemed a littleexcessive – Delton had told him as much – but he had been oddlyinsistent on him wearing it.
“Not much further, kadan,” Bull said. He had his large handson Delton’s shoulders, guiding him as he walked forward at a pace that mostwould probably consider reckless for a man who had been temporarily robbed ofsight. Yet, surprisingly, Delton wasn’t worried. It was a strange feeling. Trust. Before, he hadn’t even felt safejust sharing a conversation withanother person. Now he was being walked blindly into the unknown, and his heart was as steady and calm as it had been when hewoke up in bed that morning.
“This is an awful lot of build-up, y’know,” Deltoncontinued, his tone light, his mouth still quirked into a half-smirk. “Really raising expectations. Let meguess; a statue of me. Solid gold.”
Bull snorted and gaveDelton a light squeeze with one hand, the other staying in place on his rightshoulder to keep him steady regardless. “C’mon, you really think I’d botherblindfolding you for that. Ha! Gimme some credit, Red.”
Delton grinned, but said nothing, continuing to walksteadily forward, letting Bull be in charge of turning him appropriately. Thecobblestones had turned to grass, which was… odd.
“Wait - are you parading me blindfoldedthrough Skyhold?”
“Depends. Do two people count as a parade?”
Delton sighed, reaching up to scratch the side of his head, just beneath the blindfold. “Folk’re gonna talk. You know that, right?”
“Probably. Not really a problem unless you’ve got somethingto hide, though.” The way Bull said it was so nonchalant, yet it made Deltonstiffen in his grip. Did he? Havesomething to hide, that is. Sure, Delton supposedhe did – Maker, who didn’t? – but despite that, he relaxed a moment later.Anything he really wanted kept secret wouldn’t exactly be revealed by a blind marchacross the courtyard. Besides, he was pretty sure no one in the Inquisition thoughthim overly dignified either, so noreal loss there. The grass turned back into cobblestones.
Eventually, he shook his head, letting out an easy laugh.“Nah. Just figured I might embarrass you, that’s all.”
Behind Delton, Bull’s steps did something very strange. Theyfaltered. Just for a half-breath, asthough the large Vashoth almost tripped on a loose stone but managed to avoida full stumble. It was enough for Delton to notice. From behind the blindfold,he frowned. “Something the matter?”
Bull was quiet for a time, and they continued walkingtogether. Delton stubbornly refused break the silence that enveloped themboth like a cloak. He had been the last to ask a question, after all. It wouldbe counter-productive.
The sounds around Delton lessened, and he assumed they hadfinally crossed the bridge and exited Skyhold proper, leaving behind them themurmurs and movements of the massive fort. Okay… sosomething out in the forest? Delton couldn’t imagine what Bull wasplanning exactly, but it had to be interesting if he wanted to shroud it in somuch secrecy.
“Got a question for you, Red,” Bull said suddenly, the deeprumble of his voice almost startling Delton. He had become lulled into a calm stupor by the rhythmof their steps. Humming his curiosity, Delton encouraged Bull to continue. “You thoughtI’d be embarrassed, right?”
He frowned behind the blindfold. “… Aye.”
“Why?”
If Bull’s hands hadn’t been planted firmly on his shoulders,Delton would have come to a full stop. As it was, he continued plodding along, his brow set into an uncomfortable expression beneath the soft cloth.  “I… well… y’know. You’re The Iron Bull. Once folk see you in a fight, then they talk like you’rescarier than Corypheus. You’ve also got The Chargers, and they alllook up to you too-”
Bull snorted. “Everyonelooks up to me, Red. There aren’t many people around these parts at eye-level.”
Delton groaned quietly, but didn’t argue the point. “It’sjust… you know what? Don’t worry about it. Shouldn’t have said it. Pretend Ididn’t, okay?”
“Nah,” Bull replied simply. Slowly, they came to a stop. Deltonswallowed, not entire sure how to proceed. Why had he said it? It had just sort of slipped out earlier. He hadn’t reallythought about it.
“Bull?” Delton asked tentatively, shifting uncomfortably at both the stillness and the silence. “Can I take off theblindfold now?”
“Not yet. Want to talk first.”
Delton swallowed. He’d rather have the conversation with theuse of his eyes, but he supposed it didn’t make much difference. He knew hisown tended to give him away anyway, so maybe it was best that they werecovered.  “All right, fine,” he saidwarily, then turned around with slow precision. Bull let him do it without complaint. “Talk then.”
“You first.”
“Pretty sure I already gave you an answer, Bull.”
“Pretty sure you didn’t.”
Delton clenched his jaw, chewing on his tongue as hestruggled to come up with the right words. What was he supposed to say? Hedidn’t even know the answer. Not really. “C’mon, does it really matter?” Deltonasked, forcing himself to flash a reassuring smile. “We’re here, right? Let’s just… dowhatever you had planned. It’s getting late.”
To his surprise, Bull chuckled. Unfortunately, it was notfor the reason he had hoped. “Nice try,Red.”
With a suffering groan, Delton raised a hand to his head, rubbing his forehead tiredly. “You really don’t know when to let thingsgo, do you?”
“Not if it’s important.”
“This isn’timportant.”
“You think you’re an embarrassment.”
Delton froze, fingers halting in the process of cardingthrough his hair. He… no, he… thatwasn’t…
“What? I—” Delton began, but the words stuck in his throat. He cleared it, intending to argue, but then just… didn’t. The admission, when it finally came, was soft. Almost ashamed. “Yeah.”
In front of him, he heard Bull sigh quietly. It wasn’t frustrated, exactly. Just a sigh. Maybe, in a way, that was worse. “Kadan,” he said, his voice astrange mixture of firm yet gentle. “You can talk to me. You know that, right?”
Opening his mouth, Delton made to reply, but hesitated, suddenly unsure of what to say. Of course he could talk to Bull. He would be withsomeone he couldn’t talk to.
So why didn’t he?
“Look, it’s not you,” Delton began hastily. It really wasn’t. “I’ve just… got thingsI need to deal with. You know how it is.”
His lover didn’t respond. Delton pursed his lips – he knew what Bull was doing – but damn it,it worked. It always did. Feeling like an idiot, Delton kept going, hischeeks growing hot as he broke the lingering silence. He wasn’t flustered. He was just… he didn’t really know what he was. A mess, apparently.
“I’m not used to this kind of thing. I’m not good at it, and it feels like – damn it this is stupid – it feels like everyoneknows. That they can see it just by looking at me. At us. Maker, I actually careabout you, and all I can think about is when I’m going to screw it all up.”
“Kadan…” Bull began, but Delton kept going, the words already lined up at waiting on his tongue. I’ve come this far, he figured darkly. Might as well lay it all out for judgement.
“Every time, Bull. It’s always little things. I can’t keep up. Can’t stop checking exits. Can’t stop assuming the worst. Can’t read. Can’t write. Shit, I can’t even talkto people without expecting them to try to knife me at least once.” He laughed bitterly, shaking his head, even taking a step backwards despite the blindfold. “Maybethe better question is how are you notbe embarrassed by me?”
Delton could hear the frown in Bull’s voice as he spoke, clearas if he was looking straight at him. “So… I’m meant to be embarrassed becauseyou’re on-guard? Doesn’t sound like a bad thing to me, Red. Know how long ittook for me to knock that lesson into the Chargers? Hell, some of them stillforget it after a drink or two. As for the reading and writing and stuff? Sorry. Didn’tactually notice. I can teach you, if you think it’ll help. You’re a quicklearner - shouldn’t be hard.”
Delton froze, mouth half-open, ready with a retort for aninsult that never came. He… what?!
“I… I don’t… wait…” he shook his head in disbelief, suddenly at a loss for words.“You… didn’t know?”
“Nope.” Bull admitted it with almost proudly. “Don’t think anyone does. None of my Chargers, atleast, or they would’ve said something about trying to teach you by now. Gotta say, Red,you’re damn good at hiding things you don’t want anyone knowing about.”
I don’t believe it,Delton thought, utterly stunned. All thistime I just figured Bull was keeping quiet about it. That he was tooembarrassed to point it out. That he pitied me and kept me around like aone-eyed mabari. But he just… didn’t even know.
“I…” Delton floundered, not sure what to say. Somany of the things that had bothered him - things that had left him feelinglike he was somehow less – hadn’teven played a part in how Bull felt about him. There was no pity. No shame. That was all just Delton - something for himto work on. “But… you’re Hissrad! How did you not notice?”
Before him, Bull let out a quiet chuckle. Then, Delton feltdeft fingers brush either side of his face. Bull reached around, and a slight tugging on the cloth over his eyes signaled him working on the knot at the back. In a few seconds the blindfold fell slack, comingaway in Bull’s hands as he gently drew back. Delton blinked a few times, and his eyes adjusted, revealing the soft smile on themassive Tal-Vashoth’s face. The fond look of amusement in his eye. The expressionalone made Delton’s heart step sideways in his chest.
“Do you know where we are, kadan?”
Confused, Delton glanced around. They were in a small clearing, surrounded by tall pines, a scattering of small yellow flowers clustering at the bases of the trees. The memory instantly clicked. “Aye,” he breathed quietly, almost in awe. “This is the first place wewent. Just the two of us. You called me kadan. Told me what it meant.”
“That’s right,” Bull continued quietly, nodding. He stood so close Delton could feel the warmth radiating off his skin. “No mission. No Chargers. No Inquisition. Just you and me.”
Despite everything - despite all of his worries, his fears, his self-loathing - Delton smiled. Itwas, he was proud to say, a smile he actually meant. “So ah… what’s theoccasion?” Delton asked, letting out a small chuckle mostly to hide the way hisvoice broke a little as he spoke. Oh don’t go falling apart, he chided himself, blinking to clear his vision, pretending to admire the distant canopy so Bull wouldn’t notice.
Bull raised an eyebrow at that. “No occasion,” he saidsimply, then grunted as he lowered himself down onto the grass, legs spread, arms slightly back, propping him up. “Figured you might need this, though.”
Frowning slightly, Delton moved to sit at Bull’s side, thenchanged his mind, instead settling in the V shape made by the Qunari’s extended legs.Leaning back, he let out a content sigh, drinking in the peaceful sight of the clearing. “Oh yeah? Figured how, exactly? I thought I was a genius at hiding things.”
“Things you don’t want anyone to know, kadan,” Bullcorrected, leaning forward and shifting to wrap a lazy arm around Delton’storso. Delton felt a small smile tug at his lips.
“Oh, so I’ve been dropping clever hints, have I?”
“You’ve been tense,” Bull replied. He moved again, his large handsfinding Delton’s shoulders once more, powerful fingers working the musclesthere in slow, careful circles. “Have been for the past week. Maybe more.”
“Mmm…” Delton just hummed in reply, closing his eyes, content as a cat with a bowl of warm milk.
“You didn’t come to the tavern for a few days.”
“… Mmm?” Delton replied again, only this time he cocked hishead slightly as he melted into Bull’s touch.
“You also,” Bull continued, moving his way down Delton’sbiceps for a few presses before returning to his shoulders, “left the door toyour room unlocked. Never done that before. I always had to talk before you’dlet me in.”
“Well, you’re the only one who ever visits me every night,”Delton replied with a noncommittal shrug. “Figured you weren’t going to stab mein my sleep. Or let someone else do it.”
Bull chuckled. “You trust me that much, huh?”
“Sure,” Delton replied, eyes closed, a stupid smilespreading across his face. “Why wouldn’t I? I lov—”
He caught himself just in time, eyes snapping open insurprise as his traitorous lips suddenly froze mid-sentence. Without meaningto, he pulled away from Bull, sitting forward, shoulders stiffening, spine going rigidas though he had just been hit by an arrow. Bull had stopped his massage too, and for what felt like an eternity they both just sat there in a kind ofpetrified silence. No, Deltonthought, horrified at himself. No, no,no! Why did I say that? Idiot! Why did I have to go and—
“See? That’s why I brought you here again.”
Delton, still reeling, turned sharply to face Bull. He could feel the expression on his own face; a mixture of mortification and confusion. “What?” he demanded, the word soundingfar sharper than he meant it to. However, his tone didn’t seem to faze IronBull, who just smiled softly and reached out, running a curled finger down theside of Delton’s wide-eyed face.
“I love you too, kadan.”
The words rolled off his tongue so easily that for a moment Delton felt like afool for how he had reacted to his own. Bull continued gently, that finger still moving, tracing the line of Delton’s jaw. “Couldn’t say it at thetavern – too crowded. Same thing out on the road with the Chargers orInquisition soldiers around. But here…”He glanced pointedly at the towering trees, the thick mottled canopy, the soft wisps of grass that reached up to tickle any of their exposed skin. “Thingsjust always feel right here, huh?”
There were no words Delton could say that could explain thewarmth that suddenly welled up in his chest. That tingling, face-flushingsensation that ran just beneath his skin like a current. It sent a smile to hislips, a spark to his eyes, a bounding rhythm to his heart. For a moment, he felt something he never had before.Something he had only ever heard about, but never really expected to experiencefor himself.
Acceptance. Complete acceptance. Forevery part of him. Even the parts he hated. Bull loved him. He’d said it as clear as the first birds of dawn. Despite only seconds having passed, Delton still found himself wondering if it had actually happened.
“Bull…” he finallybreathed, feeling that deep stiffness inside him suddenly melt away. No,release him, like ropes that had beentied too tightly over every inch of his body. He felt…
… he felt free.
“You don’t need to say it back, Red,” Bull continued kindly, onceagain moving to wrap his arms around Delton’s torso, drawing him close to hischest. “That’s not the point. I wanted you to know where I stand. That’s all. If you’renot there, that’s fine with—”
There, sitting in Bull’s embrace, leaning against him, Deltonsaid it. Said it in its completion. Said it with no regrets. No shame. No fear.
Said it for the first time in his life.
“I love you too, Bull.”
