Nice nice
It is an decently long list but you brought this onto yourself
1) Sickfic au set in hogwarts where James is ill and they all restrict him to the Slytherin downs and put an impossible amount of energy into making him feel better. He ends up surrounded by food, covered in blankets and being read books all day. By the evening, everyone in the castle thinks he’s missing bc nobody can find him (Barty hid the map lmao) but it’s okay bc James has three boys curled up on top of him. Luckily for them, it wasn’t contagious.
2) Muggle au with Barty being a good dad and James melting on the spot at the sight of it. Regulus and Evan watch James simp and find it absolutely adorable.
3) James being terrified at the thought of asking the three of them if he can have another bf, them all being rly supportive and excited to meet James’ little crush and then finding out it’s Peter sexy-mf Pettigrew and hyping him tf up about it because Pete is a hell of a catch
4) Reggie is a singer, James, Barty, and Evan all go to see him live and fall in love on the spot. They later end up meeting him a few months later, at a hotel, where the bookings got messed up so they have to share a room. They spend the night with reg, getting to know each other. The rooms are fixed up the next morning and they don’t see each other again. Reg’s next song comes out a year later, which has some odd similarities to the conversations they had and their appearances. In an interview, he dedicates the song to ‘the idiots in room 347’.
5) James is terrified at the thought of having three soulmates, until he meets them. They help him overcome his fear and they all love each other more than life itself.
6) Evan and Regulus are princes from rival kingdoms, ordered to come to a decision about the future of the relationship between their kingdoms. James and Barty are their respective favourite knights, who are with them every waking second. Evan and James are already in love, as are Reg and Barty. But it changes when they all meet each other. It’s forbidden, complicated, and messy but it’s cute anyway.
7) James is an Angel, the other three are demons, and there’s nothing demons do better than tempting.
8) Sirius introduces James to his brother and his brother’s boyfriends, James can’t forget about them no matter how hard he tries.
9) Childhood friendship group to lovers but they’re all fucking idiots and don’t get together until they’re all 30 because they didn’t notice the songs for two and a half decades.
10) Barty and James are both 37 years old and started dating after their respective divorces, but, despite still technically being young, they’re nowhere near as lively as they used to be. Evan and Regulus are baristas in their early 20s and won’t give up until they get the attention of the two sad men who come in every Thursday.
11) They all meet at a trans support group.
12) James goes to meet the new neighbours. He goes in for a cup of tea and leaves with the sneaking suspicion that they are vampires, along with a deep fascination for them. They agree to meet the next week as they enjoy each other’s company. They meet every week for a few months and James becomes more obsessed every time. He finds out the truth, gets bitten, and they live their best immortal polyam husbands lives.
13) literally any band au

Thanks @real-life-senshi for the tag!
The Rules: Tag (9) people you want to know better and/or catch up with, then answer the following:
Four Ships:
Oh boy. TBH I'm not that into shipping really. I guess I have a few though.
Brainy x Nia (CW Supergirl): Definitely the beta couple of the last couple seasons of the show. I do kinda wonder how their relationship would've developed had Season 5 played out as planned (the ending of the season got kinda messed up due to COVID lockdowns, which is why the "beat Leviathan" plot got carried over to the beginning of Season 6). They got a fair amount of focus in Season 6, as they dealt with how Brainy's actions in Season 5 affected them (also they had to write Kara out for most of the season because her actress was on maternity leave, forcing them to instead focus episodes on the rest of Supergirl's team). I felt it was a strong ship, with two goofy, geeky people - one an alien genius who's not very used to having emotions period and the other a half-human, half-alien girl with dream-related powers - who both clearly like each other but don't know how to spit it out. The "Prom!" two-parter, where they go back in time to get DNA to help track down Kara, had them try to fit in in late-90s small town America, which was hilarious. Also, in general, even with all the hype over Nia being the first transgender superhero ever (she's also played by a real-life trans rights hero, Nicole Maines), aside from a little focus when she was first introduced, they haven't made it her sole defining trait, and have developed her beyond that, which I appreciate. I'm not sure their relationship had its full time to develop - towards the end it seemed doomed to fail since at some point Brainy was going to have to go back to the future time he came from. But in the finale he decided to "screw destiny" and came back for her, so they still have a chance!
Pokéshipping (Ash x Misty): From Pokémon, obviously. This is Pokémon's oldest ship and I have stood by it for years (to be fair, I haven't seen enough of the anime to justify the other Ash ships anyway). But then I'm biased, since Misty has long been a favorite character of mine from Pokémon. It's been cool seeing her come back in more recent seasons and still have a dynamic with Ash. It started with him accidentally frying her bike with Pikachu, and her tagging along to make him pay her back, but they ultimately developed a strong friendship, which I think is only rivaled by his friendship with Dawn probably. Of course, since I ship them, I wish there could be more - and there are songs showing Misty has feelings for him ("Misty's Song," "He Drives Me Crazy," "I've Got a Secret" from Pokémon Live). The second movie also teased the idea, though Misty strongly denied it. As for Ash, we have no idea how he feels. But let's be fair, he barely acknowledged Serena's feelings, and hers as far as I can tell were WAY more obvious than Misty's (Serena pretty much started traveling with Ash cause she had a crush on him). So I'm guessing he's just completely oblivious. He'd have to grow up a lot to realize how Misty feels. And now Ash's time in the anime is basically over. Though, they did leave things pretty open-ended with him, so...
Yowzah (Doctor x River Song): This is basically my main ship from Doctor Who (though I do also support Tenrose). For this ship, I usually define it as Eleven x River specifically, since they interact the most. Though their relationship is crazy complicated, their banter is always fun to see when they do meet. Because I didn't watch Doctor Who quite in order when catching up on old seasons, I actually saw their romance in basically chronological order - starting with Series 5-7 and ending with 4, where Ten meets her but she ends up dying - which somehow made it even more poignant. I did appreciate that before Steven Moffat left, he resolved their whole thing by having Twelve finally take River to Darillium (the last place River saw "her" Doctor before traveling to the Library and meeting Ten), and having Twelve come to terms with her being gone. While there are still Big Finish audios coming out to flesh out River's personal canon, I consider her timeline with The Doctor finished, and I don't expect her to show up again (although, they brought back Jack Harkness, so I guess no one's safe). I don't feel like there's any sort of future they could give them - "The Name of the Doctor" already showed River post-death. I suppose they could delve into their past still, especially if they keep the Timeless Child plotline when Russell T. Davies takes over again. I'd kinda love for River to meet the Fugitive Doctor. I feel like they would be BFFs in a heartbeat. At any rate, River is a fun character, and for now I've been indulging my interest in this ship via the Eleventh Doctor fanfic I've been working on for years (I have an idea for a ship fic with them too).
Mamoru x Hina (PGSM): So not sure this is even a ship but decided to add it anyway. When it comes to Sailor Moon, I'm typically in the Usagi x Mamoru camp pretty strongly. Especially in the manga, where their relationship really gets some deep development (it gets development in the anime too, but not in the same way I feel like). But the live-action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon just didn't do their relationship justice. I get that they had limited episodes to work with, but they could've done better. They also tried to make things more dramatic by revealing Mamoru was engaged, right at the point of the show when Usagi was starting to think maybe he wasn't so bad after all. And then try to twist the knife even more by making Usagi realize that "OMG this guy's girlfriend is actually NICE." Hina, meanwhile, didn't get much development beyond being the "other woman" who clearly loved Mamoru more than he did her. That she was the "childhood friend" in this scenario probably didn't help either (anyone who's watched/read enough shoujo knows that the "childhood friend" rarely wins in a love triangle). She did at least respect that Mamoru had a lost past he was trying to find clues to, and tried to be supportive as much as she could. And when Mamoru got cut off from a call with her when Kunzite attacked him, she seemed genuinely upset. (She also got upset when she found Usagi's handkerchief in Mamoru's dresser, but that's more like a "OMG are you cheating on me?" kind of upset). Ultimately she saw the writing on the wall and broke up with Mamoru. I mean, sure, if the show was going to follow the original Sailor Moon plot, Mamoru and Usagi were going to have to end up together somehow. But instead of trying to create a genuine love triangle with actual drama attached, they had Mamoru in a relationship he didn't really care about and Usagi, as much as it pained her, willing to honor that relationship. Thus they started to kinda reluctantly become just friends instead. But while it can be argued they did develop some feelings for each other eventually, their whole romance seems to be based on the fact that they loved each other in their past lives, and fate is doing its darnedest to bring them together again. Except that in the past that caused the destruction of the Earth, a fact that initially no one remembers except Sailor Venus, Zoisite, and Kunzite, which is why those three are pretty strongly against Usagi and Mamoru getting together (Beryl also tries to split them up later, either personally or through her "shadow" Mio, since the Beryl/Serenity/Endymion love triangle is also still a thing). Then they get separated since Mamoru goes to study abroad in England, and then later lets Beryl capture him to save the Shitennou, causing all this angst where Usagi tries really hard not to make the Silver Crystal activate, as this would not only make her hardcore "I don't care about anything but my prince" Princess Sailor Moon side come out, but it also inadvertently powers Queen Metallia, neither of which is good for the safety of the Earth. Even once Beryl is defeated and Usagi and Mamoru are *finally* set to get married, it's clear Mamoru is not that enthusiastic about it, which is what leads to Usagi breaking things off and Mio showing up and being like "I'M BAAACK" and kidnapping Mamoru to be her groom in her circus-inspired base. So...anyway, it's just hard for me to ship Usagi x Mamoru in PGSM for these reasons, so I lean more toward shipping Hina with Mamoru. After all, the short "Hina Afterward" made it clear that she still thought about him after they broke up.
Last Song: Not a song per se, but...the Suzume soundtrack on Spotify. It's actually quite a good soundtrack. Sadly, they didn't include the songs Serizawa plays in his car during the road trip part of the movie (probably for copyright reasons), but I found a couple Spotify playlists people made of the songs he plays: this one and this one. One of them is "Rouge no Dengon," the opening song to Kiki's Delivery Service, which I recognized immediately when I first heard it as that's my favorite Ghibli film.
Currently Reading: This translation of Virgil's The Aeneid, translated by David Ferry. It was the one recommended by Blue of the YouTube channel Overly Sarcastic Productions in his Virgil video, so I figured it had to be good. Now, being a mythology buff, I knew something about the Aeneid going into this (I also watched OSP's video covering it), but I'd never read it in verse before now. And it is actually quite good. Sure there are boring lists of people at times, and Virgil spends like 10 stanzas describing the decorations on Aeneas's shield in great detail, which I could care less about. While I definitely had to consult the list of names in the back a few times to know what stuff was, the text was otherwise quite understandable as is, which isn't easy with old texts like this as far as I can tell. Ferry does a good job making it readable but not TOO modern. Would recommend.
Last Movie: The anime movie Suzume, directed by Makoto Shinkai, who did Your Name and Weathering With You. As I mentioned in this post, it's REALLY GOOD.
Craving: I'm looking forward to the game Hogwarts Legacy. The Switch version got delayed till July and it bugs me a lot. Also, this game called Sea of Stars is finally coming out soon that I backed on Kickstarter. I've never backed a video game on there before, so that's exciting! Besides that...I bought a TON of 3DS and DS games in my pursuit to get the games I wanted before the 3DS eShop shut down a couple months ago, so looking forward to those. In the process, I found out my DS Lite can still read GBA cartridges, allowing me to replay old favorites like Kim Possible 2: Draaken's Demise and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as well as games I missed (like all of the Gen 3 Pokémon games - if I can track them down - and Tales of Phantasia, which I just recently found out even HAD a GBA version).
As for non-gaming things...I haven't been to Disneyland in years, despite living less than 2 hours away from it. Sure, as an autistic person, theme parks can be kind of a nightmare, but I really love Disney movies. Also, I haven't been there since before the Star Wars land was completed, so I really want to go there and see that, as I'm also a big Star Wars fan.
Also I do miss doing covers on my YouTube channel, I'll admit. I'd also like to do more collabs, but the SeraMyu cover community seems kinda dead now, especially since our sort of Fearless Leader (and the one who encouraged me to join in the first place) @sailorzakuro seems to have moved on.
Tagging: @ainomessage, @fyeahsailormoon, @glitzyglee, @galaxia-gorgeous, @gracemyhearto, @kosmosinusa, @katieban-kaiteiban, @love-boat, @sailormoonsub

Headcanons for Epithet Erased.
This is for Giovanni and his boys (including Molly) none of this is cannon and I basically sprint far away from it. Oh and there's no specific order. Half of this is me just projecting myself onto Spike. I vent through my favourite characters so... She's suffering in at least 5 headcanons.
(I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what headcanon means but my online friend says that most of these could be considered as headcanons so..)
Ben, Car crash and Spike all have Dyslexia that affects them daily to the point that they occasionally do homework together. (me and my friends used to do this but stopped a couple of years ago)
Darkstar is still wondering if purple is spikes natural hair colour or if she just 'copied' him. (it's been months dude.)
Giovanni still drives Spike, Ben and Flamethrower to school + Molly when her dad forgets.
One time, Car crash nearly killed, Spike and Molly by nearly crashing his car, so badly that spike just went "I'm driving... No I don't have a license, but at least I won't nearly kill us" surprisingly Spike didn't crash the car at all... she ran a red light
Spike is asexual but not aromantic. (she doesn't know what she is)
Molly one time accidentally made fun of Spike's dyslexia when she couldn't read the menu when The Boys went out for lunch together. It didn't make Spike upset or anything but Molly is smart and could tell that Spikes mood had shifted a small amount. (Molly is still a kid, let her make mistakes)
Spike and Dark star both have autism and ADHD, but it affects them both differently.
On her first mission, Spike had a meltdown, it wasn't very bad or anything but it was noticeable to the point that Giovanni actually called it (the mission) off so Spike could properly calm down. (she herself has no idea what triggered it, she kinda assumes that it was all of the loud noises but she isn't sure)
One time, Crusher, Dark Star, Flamethrower and Spike all dressed up in those like fucking dinosaur costumes because they felt like it.
Spike has to hype herself up to take cough medicine.
Flamethrower is more dramatic than a theatre kid.
Flamethrower is all 3 of the mean girls put together. He literally knows everything about everyone.
Molly and Spike bond over having Shitty dad's/parents. By this I mean they vent to each other about it. (I headcanon that Spikes parents are 'staying together for the kid' if you know what I mean)
Giovanni is informed of any learning difficulties, disability or disorder that a new boy has.
Ben is a trans boy and is really happy that Giovanni refers to him as one of his boys.
Spike and Dark star both become that spiderman pointing meme when they see each other at Hot topic.
Spike's hair is longer than she presents it to be. (the helmet helps with this)
Spike and Crusher have no idea what volume control is.
Car crash has nearly hit someone with his car at least 2 times.
They're all trying their best.
Giovanni is so protective of all of his Boys to the point that he 'grounded' Spike and Car crash, Spike for driving decently without a licence. Car crash for almost crashing the car.
'Don't. Touch. My. Food.' - Everyone at each other at some point.
Dark Star, crusher and Spike all live in the same neighbourhood... They totally don't have sleepovers at the weekends, and they definitely don't do each others hair. (it's more like, crusher and Dark star do Spike's hair but still, she finds a way to style theirs)
Despite them both having a crush on Giovanni, Spike and Crusher are really good friends and will support each other till the end of time.
Spike hates being the shortest out of The Boys, she's always been used as the arm rest. Seriously, she could swear that she was taller, then everyone got a fuck'n growth spurt over summer or some shit because now she's smol (I'm totally not bitching about the fact that at least 4 - 6 of my friends are now taller than me through this character)
Out of everyone, Spike and Ben are the most chaotic. Ben is chaotic in a way that borderline dangerous, Spike is chaotic in a fun way.
While everyone else panics when they run into Percy on the street, Spike and Molly are both chill and calm about it.
Molly slept over at Spikes house, and started crying when she woke up to hear Spike's parents just screaming at each other, Molly also did her mute thing around herself and Spike when she noticed that Spike was getting overwhelmed. (am I once again venting through this character.. 100% yes)
Spike knows Percy personally, as her neighbours always call the police for a "noise complaint" because of her parents arguing. Instead of an interview, it turns into a therapy session.
Giovanni breaks into everyone's houses to check up on them, and to update their status on the Banzai records (I literally just made that up). This always turns into a therapy session as well.
That's all... It really took me and my dyslexic ass over like what a month to finish this...
Sorry for how long this is.

Camgirl 101 - 2019 Edition (The Absolute tl;dr)
I wrote the first “Camgirl 101″ nearly 6 years ago - wild to think that so much time has gone by! So much has changed about this industry, and yet in many ways, so much has stayed the same. Since my initial “How 2 Cam” post is a tad outdated at this point, and since I have the time to kill typing away on tumblr dot com today, I figured I’d do an abbreviated, updated 2019 edition of the basics of the basics of webcam modelling, as well as my top tips and tricks to making the most out of your initial push as a camgirl.
What site should I cam on? The site I cam on is MyFreeCams, but there are other popular sites out there, such as Chaturbate and Nood (just to name two of many, many more). I would suggest sticking to sites that have been established for a while to be on the safe side, as many new sites are opening, but not all actually attract much in the way of traffic. MyFreeCams is female-only, where Chaturbate allows males and trans performers as well. Nood is a higher quality streaming platform, but you’ll need to be OBS savvy before starting, so it’s better for people who already know what they’re doing, at least to some degree.
Because I work exclusively on MFC (and have been doing so for the better part of six years), the advise I give is specifically about MFC. While most general advise can be extended to other platforms, things like payment processing and technical support I know nothing about outside of MFC.
What do I need to get started as a cam model? You’ll need a steady internet connection, a webcam, some sort of a lighting source, and yourself. You do not need fancy equipment, a perfect cam space, a complicated profile or an ungodly amount of self confidence to get started - while these things can help, they’re not required, and are things you can amass over time as you become more established.
How do I make money? Camgirls on MFC make money in tokens. One token = $0.05USD earned by a model. You make money by persuading paying patrons, known as Premium Members, to tip you tokens. Payments are processed on the 1st and 16th of each month, and can be sent to you via cheque, wire transfer, or through third parties. I advise you choose cheque or wire transfer, because third party payment processors have been notoriously unreliable over the years. For US models, you can also have your income direct deposited. For international models (aka anyone outside the US), you’ll either need to ‘make payout’ for a wire transfer, which is earn a minimum of 20,000 tokens ($1000USD), or you can opt for a cheque in the mail for free after earning a minimum of 400 tokens ($20).
Camgirls do not get paid hourly. All earnings come from tips.
What can I do to encourage people to tip or talk? Generally speaking, you entertain. Camgirls entertain by engaging in conversation, showing off their bodies, stripping, and doing live masturbation or sex performances, in addition to selling homemade content, whether in the form of videos and photos, or over apps like snapchat. The best way to increase your odds of making money is to make people like you. For this, you’ll need social skills, physical attractiveness, patience, and business savvy. While it may seem simple, this process is incredibly dynamic and complex; for this reason, I (nor anyone else) can tell you with any guarantee how to make money. My best advice is to read this blog for inspiration, watch cam models to see how others are doing it, and then most importantly, try it yourself. There is only so much you can learn by watching and asking questions: the rest you will have to figure out as you go.
Do I have to show my face? Yes. You cannot wear a mask, or hide your face; it’s against the Terms of Service of the site, and you can’t build relationships with human beings when you have a bag on your head. That’s just not how it works.
Do I have to get naked or masturbate? No! You don’t. While these things are definitely the norm on the site, there is no rule that says you have to get naked on MFC. You can literally log on and just stare at the camera, unmoving, silently, for hours on end if you want - no one will stop you - it just obviously wouldn’t be particularly entertaining, and would be unlikely to make you much money. If you choose not to strip, or choose to restrict your stripping to certain environments (only in private, only with certain people, only at certain price points), you’ll have to figure out how to entertain in other ways. I would like to highlight that this is not only something non-explicit models have to figure out: the best of the best on the site do far, far more than just strip. Sexuality is part of it, but not the whole story.
How often should I cam, and for how long? The most successful models on MFC tend to rely mostly on the support of their repeat customers, known as ‘regulars’, for the bulk of their income. Making regulars is an important part of camming, because members who return again and again build a relationship with you, and those who have supported in the past are more likely to support again in the future (a psychological concept known as the ‘foot in the door’ phenomenon). Rooms that have groups of returning regulars are also more attractive in a community aspect, because the members aren’t only returning for the model for a sense of togetherness and familiarity, they’re also there to talk with their other member friends.
In order to build a base of regulars, you should aim to cam relatively consistently, and at somewhat similar time slots. There are no real “best times” to cam - the best times to log on are times where you can expect yourself to be the most consistent over the long term. This way, people know where and when to find you. As far as how long your cam shows should be, this is up to you for the most part. I prefer to cam between 3 and 4 hours at a time.
What is camscore? Camscore is a rating system that is based off of tokens earned per hour. Every new model starts with a camscore of 1000, and depending on how many tokens she makes each hour, her camscore will either raise or drop. The goal is to make as many tokens as you can an hour so that you can raise your camscore - this will sort your icon higher up on the main page, making it more likely that random passerby’s will see your room and hopefully enter it. While camscore is important, it isn’t the only way that members find model’s rooms. For the first six hours of broadcast time (NOT account life: broadcast time, as in time actually live streaming), models are given a ‘new model’ badge on their icons, which can attract members to check out the room. While ‘sort by camscore’ is the default settings for members, they can also choose to sort by other styles, meaning a low camscore isn’t always a low placement on the page. Lastly, models can use social media to boost their visibility. All that said, a low camscore can make things increasingly difficult and frustrating for a model; please read here for more details on overcoming low visibility:
http://camgirlsurvivalguide.tumblr.com/post/169514561900/how-to-overcome-low-visibility
Will camming hurt my chances of getting a vanilla job? Depends on the job. There is always a chance that the people you know will find out that you cam. The best things you can do are weigh your options carefully before starting, geoblock any areas that you don’t want watching you (you can block regions from accessing your cam, but this doesn’t protect against VPNs, and doesn’t stop people from taking screenshots or recordings of your streams and uploading to other unblocked sites), and take caution not to use the same photos connected to your real name as you do for camming - but there is no way to ultimately protect yourself from the stigma of sex work. Facial recognition software is becoming more accurate each and every month, and I feel that soon, programs like google image reverse search will be able to quickly and easily pull up any and all profiles connected to certain faces; take that as you will.
Do camgirls pay taxes? Yes. You are in charge of your own business, including filing and paying your own taxes. This is different in each country/region, but it’s a good idea to save 30% of everything you earn for tax purposes. Hire a tax accountant to do it for you properly so you don’t get audited.
Do you have any additional tips to share? Why yes! Yes I do. Here are some miscellaneous shit knowledge that I’ve picked up over time. Enjoy.
- I cam using a mac. Before I cam, I’ll often take 10 to 15 cute selfies using the photobooth app, which I then quickly edit using VSCO cam on my phone. I upload these to an album on my MFC Share (the content hosting ‘store’ page that MFC has) so I can sell these cute photos to people for cheap. Often I’ll make a monthly selfie album that I upload photos to as the month progresses, which encourages members who purchase it early in the month to keep checking back for more photos. It’s a good way to hype myself up and feel cute before cam, while also creating content to sell that fosters the building of my regular base.
- Also with respect to camming and my mac, if I do something sexy on cam, like a strip tease or a bath show, I’ll hit record on my photobooth app while I’m streaming to record my webcam’s output. I can then edit this footage after I log off cam to sell for cheap, or to give to members who contributed toward my goal or something.
- It’s good practice to reply to all offline tips. While I might not reply to video or photoset sales through MFC share all the time (sometimes my inbox gets super busy), it is important not to let offline tips go unnoticed. Appreciating people’s tips makes them want to tip again. Ignoring them makes them not want to return.
- Do not just sit on your phone when you’re bored on cam. Get up, dance around, show off your body, talk to yourself about nothing. You’re not there to be entertained (although it’s fun when you are, of course) - you’re there to be entertaining. Shake off the anxiety and shake ya butt instead.

Some of my favourite dramas from the past half a year, ranked:
1. Because This is my First Life
k-drama, 16 episodes, each 1 hour long
So sensitively and personally written. I was sucked into the storytelling and felt as though I was seeing these scenes through the eyes of the characters. Bravo to the scriptwriter; as I was watching it I felt, ah, she must have drawn from some intensely personal and important place. It was not a story anyone could have written. Because This is My First Life follows the stories of three BFFs as they experience, and grapple with, love and marriage. It does not shy away from the complicated sides of these issues - the societal, monetary and financial pressures that love and marriage cannot be separated from, the difficulties of communicating with others honestly yet sensitively. There are some frustratingly incorrigible people in the drama (like sexually harassing superiors), but most of the time the conflicts play out between good people who care for and support each other, yet inevitably butt heads because they have different - and equally valid - views of life. Is it wrong to want to marry and start a family? Is it wrong not to? It was painful at times, I think I cried for some of the characters. Not because they were pitiable, but because sometimes in life there is no right or wrong; you have to make tough choices and it hurts but you have to keep your eyes open and keep watching; keep walking. For the literature lovers out there, especially those who might be sick of gratuitous (often cheesy) quotes inserted randomly into dramas, well, good for you! Characters in Because This is My First Life read and are impacted by (real life) books, and you can see how the books they’ve read influence the way they think, act, and communicate with each other. It’s very realistic and mirrors the way you might consume and digest books in your own life outside of the drama. Oh, the PPL is also wonderfully done and actually contributes to character building.  8-9/10.
2. Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu (I’ll be serious in my next life)
j-drama, 12 episodes, each 1/2 an hour long
One woman, five sex friends. I know. I know it sounds messy and melodramatic and angsty. I hesitated for the same reasons as well. But when I finally got over it and watched the damn thing (very bingeable, totalling at only 6 hours), I regretted not watching it sooner. Raise wa Chanto Shimasu is a breath of fresh air. Most of the characters, whether hypersexual or asexual, are pretty unabashed about it, and I love their self-love. Want to have sex? Go for it, gurl. Don’t want to have sex? Also no problem. The title is an apt one and showcases this message of acceptance. We might have bones to pick with our current lifestyles, but welp, we’ll just be serious in our next lives. As one of the characters said at the end, “we all became independent, working adults, I think we should be proud of ourselves”.  Much needed affirmation in a world of moralising, slut-shaming, virgin-mocking, and expectations to get married and settle down.
Warning: one of the characters in a bi/gay relationship is pretty vocal in denying his sexuality even in front of his partner, and a trans woman was harrassed at one point. These were discomfiting for me.
3. The Fiery Priest
k-drama, 40 episodes, each 1/2 an hour long (or 20 hour-long episodes)
Action. Comedy. Kim Nam Gil, who won the Baeksang for this role. Honey Lee. Badass babe. Ahn Chang Hwan, who was so realistic at playing a Thai immigrant my friend who studied Korean for three years didn’t even realise he was Korean. Father Han. One reviewer said he was a literal angel, and I concur. Most dramas leave you with at most three or four characters you really like; this drama makes you fall in love with the whole gang. Everyone has a backstory, or some hidden side that you didn’t expect that just adds so much more dimension when revealed. Where some might find it hard to balance the weight of action and the levity of comedy, dipping too deeply into angst or farce at times, The Fiery Priest manages the tone really well even as the plot deepens and our characters have to deal with deep-seated traumas. I have nothing more to say to promote this drama except, how could you pass on Kim Nam Gil doing action plus comedy MINUS tragedy and the moustache?
A final note: Technically, The Fiery Priest is a stronger drama than Raise and should deserve the no. 2 spot. The former deals with bigger issues like corruption, morality and forgiveness, while the latter is more light-hearted and deals almost entirely with personal choices. However, some issues Raise touched on were really important to me and came at a time when I really needed affirmation to believe in my beliefs, so it edged out The Fiery Priest in my heart.
4. 传闻中的陈芊芊 (The Romance of Tiger and Rose)
c-drama, 22 episodes, each about 45 minutes long
甜。This drama is just Sweet with a capital S. What a refreshing watch, especially for women. I loved not having tugging battles between two men. I loved the respect given to consent. I loved having so many smart and capable women who have conversations with each other that do not revolve around men. I love how the male lead wasn’t hung up on Male Ego and gave his wife space to be herself and make her own decisions and mistakes. A rare gem. I’m sure I will revisit this when I’m tired of the usual ドキドキ tactics involving possession and pulling around
(If you can read Chinese, I suggest watching it on the 腾讯视频 app with 弹幕 on. I found it pretty hilarious, meaning I laugh-cried so hard in the middle of the night my neighbour knocked on my door to ask if I was ok.)
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
A quick rundown of the dramas and films I’ve watched so far in 2020 so you know the pool I picked these four from:
Penguin Highway
good watch. super cute. I cannot over-emphasise how cute the penguins were. It got me into a penguin phase and I’m not out of it even after 7 months...
ぼくは明日、昨日のきみとデートする (My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday)
good watch. bittersweet.
わたしに××しなさい!(Watashi ni XX Shinasai/Missions of Love) movie and drama special
would pass on the movie (which cherry-picked from the manga but unfortunately left out a lot of important character developing scenes so the relationship didn’t make as much sense as it did in the manga)
but the drama special. Whew. I watched the drama special twice. It’s trashy good. Because it’s basically a spin-off to build hype for the movie, it doesn’t have to follow the plot of the manga, instead taking on the format of a (very cheesy) otome game. So you have all these ikemen saying clichéd toe-curling lines like “I am also a man you know” and getting stuck half-naked bReAthInG HeAviLy in cabinets together but instead of playing it seriously (as the movie would do because it’s supposed to make you feel like they are falling in love), the main character goes huh??? wtf are you saying?? at her otome game screen, which is so realistic and just cracks me up. definitely would rec.
ごめんね青春!(Gomen ne Seishun/ Saving my Stupid Youth)
hmmm. so-so? Leading lady Hikari Mitsushima is pretty, cool, and fits the bill of gap moe. Ryo Nishikido is also pretty believable (once you suspend your disbelief that somehow all his students think he looks dorky and are not gushing over his ikemen-ness). Unfortunately, relationship development between the otp happened too late and too suddenly.
Он – драко́н (On Drakon/ He’s a Dragon/ I Am Dragon)
a pleasure to (re-)watch as always. Lovely visuals.
Tokyo Ghoul: S
decent! Great performance from Shota Matsuda as the Gourmet. He’s definitely a draw-point for this movie - you can see him being featured heavily in the trailers.
Strong Girl Do Bong Soon
great drama, would rec! 7-8/10. Points docked for all the digressing they did with monks and gangsters. I loved the otp’s dynamic, how healthy their relationship was. One line that struck me was, “Do you know how you’ve found the right person? When you see yourself in their eyes, you look happy”. It was a reminder that while these are obviously fictional characters, we can and should form relationships where our partners are as supportive of us (and us of them) as our dear otp, and not to settle for less. Also loved the fact that smol Bong Soon is so strong and no one can manhandle her >:-) 10/10 also to rookie actor Jang Mi Kwan, who was absolutely terrifying as the villain. How is he only a rookie??
Because This is my First Life
see above
The Fiery Priest
see above
선덕여왕 (Great Queen Seon Deok)
hehe I watched it (again). As great as ever. Somehow cried more than I did the previous two times I watched it? Took me a week to get over one of the characters (even though I already went through all that heartbreak the first two times I watched this..) Sayang... Definitely has a special place in my heart. Available in full on youtube with subs.
传闻中的陈芊芊 (Romance of Tiger and Rose)
see above
来世はちゃんとします (Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu)
see above
覆面系ノイズ (Fukumenkei Noise/Anonymous Noise)
pretty good! Adapted from a manga but very film-like with its color-corrected shots, many cut-scenes to birds and crashing waves. Shison Jun was great in his intense scene, Ayami Nakajo has the most manga-looking face I’ve seen and Koseki Yuta is my bb as always hahaha he’s appeared in, like, four dramas on this list.
博多弁の女の子はかわいいと思いませんか?(Don’t You Think Girls Who Talk in Hakata Dialect Are Cute?)
YES!! I DO!! Wholesome drama packed to the brim with hometown (Hakata) pride). I also loved Okada Kenshi going around looking for Ramen shops hahaha. Now I want to see him host a food discovery show. 8/10. Would rec!
帝一の國 (Teiichi no Kuni/Teiichi’s Country)
面白い 。Interesting watch! In which a bunch of high school boys in an elite school take their student council elections very seriously and attempts at political hijinks ensue. Suda Masaki and his pals somehow make over-the-top super seem natural. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s pretty good. Peppered with interesting reveals and counter-reveals along the way.
男子高校生の日常 (Daily Lives of High School Boys)
I liked this! It delivers on what it’s supposed to. As a film, it is very film-like. The background is given a lot of weight in this film, and the director “shows, not tells”. The conversations of our characters are situated in the chatter of their schoolmates, you hear random snippets of conversations drift around, you see the school situated in the mountains, piles of decorations around the hall. This helps in conveying the “daily” nature of what happens in the film - not some life-changing adventure, but a warm high-school memory that is pretty like a paper star in a glass bottle. The boys are also very lovable and dorky in their high-school roles.
ピーチガール (Peach Girl)
not bad. Typical shoujo manga adaptation storyline, even if the leading quartet do well in their roles. Nagano Mei was especially memorable for me out of the typical shoujo heroine roles I had previously seen her in. Inoo Kei also really looks like a boy from a manga. He has a lot of exaggerated actions, but he pulls them off really well.
突然ですが明日結婚します (Totsuzen desu ga ashita kekkon shimasu/ It’s Sudden But Tomorrow We’re Getting Married/ Everyone’s Getting Married)
pretty decent. It’s not mind-blowing, but it’s definitely not bad. (Or you could flip it around and say it’s definitely not bad, but it’s not mind-blowing).
ヲタクに恋は難しい  (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku)
disappointing. I really wanted to like this film for Takahata Mitsuki and Yamazaki Kento, but there were too many useless musical scenes.
同期の桜 (Doki no Sakura / Our Dearest Sakura)
Hmmmmmm. About colleagues who become inspired in their work and lives because of their colleague Sakura. I wanted more love but that’s not the main point of the drama so it’s not their fault. It got a bit repetitive towards the end, and I felt there wasn’t enough character development. Another drama I really wanted to like more than I did, because I was looking forward to seeing Takahata Mitsuki, Ryusei Ryo and Mackenyu work together.
Tokyo Coin Laundry
A mishmash of lost souls meet at a coin laundry. A short drama about running away, making choices, and moving on. Katayose Ryota might have been cool in My Brother Loves Me Too Much, but this was where I first saw him and I prefer him in this. I enjoyed this a lot and even drew a postcard based on this. 7/10.
兄に愛されすぎて困ってます (My Brother Loves Me Too Much) drama and movie
ok don’t judge; I watched this because my friend said it was pretty good. Katayose Ryota IS pretty cool in this, and Tsuchiya Tao brings to life the quintessential image of the Japanese girl, but if you’re watching this for “so cheesy it’s actually good” I would point you to the Watashi ni XX Shinasai drama special instead. If you do want to watch this though, you should watch the drama before the movie, because they are not standalone.
Nodame Cantabile
What can I say? Classics are classics. 8/10, would rec. This is my first time seeing Ueno Juri acting, and she’s so believable as quirky Nodame I wondered if this was her actual personality. Straight out of a manga. There was potential for messy love-drama, but this drama took the high road and focused on proper character development instead. Thumbs up! They also did really well in “showing not telling” us the OTP’s relationship development. Rather than declarations of love, you can see it in the little caring gestures and almost subconscious smiles. I liked that too. Though maybe I’ll dock a point for how they treated gay expressions of love - “he’s a man you know” and icky faces - and how much casual manhandling there was against Nodame (exaggerated flying punches... maybe that’s how the manga wrote it?)

Weeks 1-2
The theme for these readings (Week 1 and 2) was the evolution of social media (however we define it) from earlier Web experiences, the boundaries of “communities” in online spaces, and the ethics of researching those communities. Normally, I plan to use these responses to synthesize what the texts say on specific ethics/methods/types of research, but since these weeks were mostly a survey of histories, I’m focusing more on my questions for future readings as inspired by these texts. Responses to specific readings from this week are tagged #commentary and are in the reblogs.
It’s interesting to read these histories of the internet, and in some cases, historical visions for the future internet, from a queer perspective. I think that queer internet or social media users (and sex-working internet or social media users, because these communities overlap consistently) have had a different sort of history and different sort of vision for these platforms than is recorded in these texts. In “From Hypertext to Hype and Back Again,” Stevenson writes about the twin goals of “the information universe” and “virtual community” that merged with the commercialization of the internet to create the current media environment (8), including social media as an evolution of Web 2.0, which requires the development of Gurak and Antoijevic’s new digital rhetoric canons: speed, reach, anonymity, interactivity, kairos, and collaboration and community (4-6). An underlying supposition in the majority of the historical readings and the some of the contemporary digital rhetoric readings was an understanding of the internet as “open access,” in the sense that it’s created by users transcending the physical barriers of the “IRL” world in virtual space. (Some of the more recent readings, like McCay-Peet and Quan-Haase (2016) and Quinton and Reynolds (2018) pay more attention to the ways time, language, and technology access limit this sort of virtual space.)
In some ways, queer internet/SM spaces resonate with this global, rhizomatic view of the internet/SM, but I think the temporal experience has been quite different. I can’t speak for the early days of the internet because I wasn’t yet a participant, but in the past decade or so, sex workers and queers have had a sort of migratory experience with online spaces-turned-SM. These users show up and connect with each other to form communities in various online spaces and build mutual aid or support networks, then the ToS change (thinking of the relatively recent fallout from SESTA/FOSTA here), our accounts are shadowbanned and shut down, and everyone moves to a new media space. (I consider these two groups together partially because queers are often sex workers and sex workers are often queer, but also, even for the non-sex-working queer people and non-queer sex workers, we get targeted by similar policies. For example, tumblr’s “female-presenting nipple” ban was intended to boot sex workers and porn accounts from the platform, which it did, but it also effectively banned most of the active queer art, activism, and resource accounts. This may be partially because the nudity filter was so terrible that it flagged images of potatoes as NSFW and caught any account posting any images of human bodies or other tan/brown objects, but regardless, it was effectively a scattershot attack on both groups of users.) After reading these more general histories of the internet and social media, I’m curious whether queer and trans* or sex-working para-histories exist--perhaps what Shafer and Thierry (2019) would call “polychronous” histories.
In thinking about what this means for research, I found Quinton and Reynold’s chapter “Characteristics of Digital Data” in Understanding Research in the Digital Age particularly helpful. Their book is more recent (2018) than several of the other readings for this week, and their articulation of the slipperiness of digital data felt more accurately descriptive of online spaces than some of the earlier articles referencing single-platform research. The core of their chapter asks researchers to “revise the way we think of digital data and how we understand the characteristics of different types of data...by delving into how we conceptualise data sources [to] gain additional clues and insight into ‘what’ we actually require from the data to address our research question(s)” (4). Because I plan to research a multiply vulnerable community (vulnerable in the sense that outing or identifying someone as LGBTQ+ can have significant consequences and vulnerable in the sense that LGBTQ+ social media users often occupy tenuous positions in social media and online platforms), probably using both naturally occurring and actively “produced” data and focusing on what McCay-Peet and Quan-Haase identify as “presentation of self” and “social contexts” (12-13), I’ll need to think critically about both how I’m boundary-ing (I know “defining” would work here, but it sounds harsher than saying “where I see the boundaries”) the communities I study on social media, the intended visibility of the data collected and community norms (it feels like all kinds of cis-het researchers are now interested specifically in trans* online communities, which is...interesting), and how to balance a sort of “big data” approach (thinking here about collecting data associated with specific hashtags) with more ethnographic research. As they point out in their discussion of the often contextual ethics of digital research (11), a detailed methodology section will be imperative to ethical and academically viable SM research. As I keep reading about digital ethics, I think I’ll need more sources about digital research that explicitly intersects with off-line/irl community research.

Fortnite Top 10 Biggest Changes in 2018
Frequent content updates and in-game events are one of the critical features of Fortnite that keep the game fresh, and new concepts are always being posted. And in 2018, the battle royale title saw almost everything from new standout limited-time modes (LTMs) and some worthy new weapon additions to some unique seasonal events and gameplay modifications.
When reflecting back in 2018, which can arguably be defined as the year of Fortnite, it is tough to say that the game looks the exact same because it did back in January. It's precisely the same hybrid shooter at its heart, but because of several changes, players have had to adapt and increase over the previous year continuously. You can see the ten biggest changes in Fortnite as of 2018 below.
youtube
1. Expanding to the Mobile Market
At the starting from the year, it was revealed Fortnite Battle Royale was moving on the mobile marketplace, using the iOS version releasing shortly just after and also the Android version coming out this previous summer. This choice has helped ensure the dominance of the game at every level, using the battle royale title becoming out there on practically every platform imaginable. Not to mention, the mobile versions directly contributed towards the popularity and profitability of the game, as developer Epic Games has reportedly made 3 billion dollars in 2018.
2.  The First Game to Get Cross-Play
The recognition of Fortnite was a direct contributor to the cross-play controversy that went down earlier this year. Even though Sony ultimately relented and Fortnite would go on to be the first game to have genuine console cross-play support, this may have never occurred if it weren't for the stress from the myriad Fortnite fans who wanted to test their capabilities across consoles.
It's worth mentioning that this choice was just the very first domino, as cross-play assistance will indubitably transform up the gaming industry as a whole. We named it as one of the largest video game news stories of 2018.
3.  The Addition of Vehicles
Back in May well, Fortnite added its first vehicle to the game. To some, it was a surprise, but several loved the absurdity that came having a buying cart being the very first vehicle to appear within the game. It was followed by the All-Terrain Kart (ATK), Quadcrasher, and now the X-4 Stormwing, the first aerial vehicle to look inside the game. These have led to crazy kills, new strategies to cross the map, and entertaining ways to play with friends or strangers. With the addition of your plane along with the mobility items, some of these vehicles just like the buying cart do not get a lot of use anymore-unless it is to get a challenge- but that does not make them any less noteworthy.
4. The Sky Cracking
In season 4, an enormous neighborhood rocket launch saw the sky crack. In this brief moment, everyone stopped to watch and also the killing stopped. If that description weren't epic adequate, this rift within the sky would go on to become involved with numerous other adjustments around the Fortnite island, including rifts plus the Kevin the Cube occasion. This, alongside the season three meteors, is simply one of several most important season transitions on the year.
5. The Creation of Leaky Lake
Kevin the Cube appeared halfway through season 5, shot out of the crack within the sky. It moved slowly across the battle island, altering gravity and leaving strange runes in its wake, ahead of at some point landing in Loot Lake.
A lot of believed this would be the last on the Cube, but the season six kicked off with the cube raising the residence into the sky, creating the floating island. It slowly toured the island, collecting the previously designed runes, ahead of returning for the lake. There, the trans-seasonal cube would ultimately be destroyed, having a flash of a white screen and a few butterflies floating around. All of this led to the creation of Leaky Lake.
6. The Addition of 2 New Biomes
Even though every season functions some variety of map alter for Fortnite's battle island, there happen to be two significant modifications that stand out this year. The battle island utilized to be nearly entirely green in some way that is, till season 5 introduced the desert biome. With it, the well known Paradise Palms place was also created, and even the desert backdrop did considerably to change up the scenery of your game.
Season 7 took it a step additional with all the introduction of an arctic biome, which features three new named places, one particular of which temporarily housed the Infinity Blade. It is uncertain what will grow to be of this biome when season 7 and winter finish, but considering the Ice King's castle is there, it does not appear most likely to be going anyplace quickly.
7. The Changes (But Not Destruction) of Tilted Towers
A big level of hype generally precedes teased map alterations, none of which have already been teased or theorized as much as the destruction of Tilted Towers. Starting together with the season three comets that battered Tilted Towers, it has been a location a lot of have hoped (for one particular cause or a further) will be destroyed. This led to theories that Kevin the Cube would destroy the named location, or perhaps AIM robots as part of the season 7 initiation.
In spite of in no way, becoming destroyed, Tilted Towers has observed its fair share of changes, as lots of who drop within the high-density zone can attest. It was initially added in season 2 but developed a massive crater in season 4 immediately after the season 3 comets. Tilted Towers gradually rebuilt more than season five, resulting within a new sports shop added for the named location-that was before Kevin the Cube rolled using and destroyed the location as soon as once again (1 week following its completion). Season 7 is now functioning on a new building within the region, but its future isn't seeking superior.
Whether or not or not Tilted Towers ever becomes a thing distinct remains to be seen, but thinking of its reputation within the battle royale title and its prominent function within the meta, it does not seem very probable.
8. The Move Toward Mobility
When Fortnite initially launched, it was a common strategy to construct up a fort and bunker down. This technique straight led to the "Just Construct LOL" attitude concerning the game and even for the backlash when Port-a-Forts was very first announced. But slowly, season to season, Fortnite has moved away from this bunker down and fight method to a much more mobile battle royale game, because of the introduction of mobility items like the grappler and balloons.
There will generally be speed builders, but for all those who cannot master that particular tactic, there is one more method to come at a fight. It's not an uncommon sight presently to find out a speed builder vs. ballooner fight, which can be one of several compact adjustments that will go a long way for Fortnite's high quality of life.
9. The Hidden Banner/Hidden Battle Star Rotation
When finishing a weeks' worth of challenges, it is always nice to hunt down a hidden battle star, as they give a free tier around the Battle Pass. In season 5, this meant that there had been ten free of charge tiers earned by just completing challenges. But, come season 6 week two, fans from the battle royale title had been greeted using a hidden banner, alternatively of a hidden battle star. This set up a weekly rotation that continues, even now in season 7.
Earning a hidden banner is often a cool cosmetic addition towards the locker, but in the very same time, getting only five tiers for each of the work put in is a bit lackluster. Some may perhaps disagree with this modify, but it was most likely made to help balance out the pace by which players full the Battle Pass (in particular for those who total it early on anyway).
10. Creative Mode/The Block
Fortnite creative mode, following it the footsteps on the Playground LTM, was a well-received season 7 addition for the game that enables players to design and style their very own islands. Additionally, in the game awards 2018, it was revealed that Risky Reels had been replaced together with the Block, a space that would residence fan-created locales.
Of course, 2018 is ending quickly, and season 7 is taking players into 2019. We're not confident what to expect following this season yet, but hopefully, everything continues to accomplish properly for Epic Games and Fortnite in the new year. But there isn't any doubt Fortnite has plans for this extraordinary occasion. To enjoy all the features in the game, you can check out u4gm fortnite items for sale list.

Cons of Yoga Burn Video System:     Results vary among people: Like with any new exercise routine, Yoga Burn results will vary from individual to individual. Although the workout will be beneficial for all who strive it, it may take longer for some people to see results compared to others.     Maybe too simple for some: For folks who are used to high-intensity exercises and advanced yoga, this Yoga Burn videos might not be challenging enough.     Digital edition only. The program is offered through videos that are available for your use when you get. For those who aren't very motivated unless they're in an exceedingly live class, this could be a drawback. Yoga Burn DVDs by Zoe – Main Advantages: A major issue individuals have had with some weight loss programs is the actual fact that you're made to follow the identical procedure, regardless of if you are simply starting, or you have been on the program for your time. The implication of this is often that some people notice it tough to fit into the program at the beginning, thereby wasting some weeks while not absolutely benefiting. With Yoga Burn Zoe Bray system, you're able to start out with the easier workouts everyone will do. While these workouts already start the method of helping you lose weight, you'll simultaneously be ready for the phase two and section three of the workout. With this, it's a terribly easy methodology for losing weight. The very fact that you furthermore may have to try and do it from the comfort of your home and at your own time makes it terribly convenient.
