On 1 and 2 November, Polish necropolises are lit up with the glare of candles, which we light on the graves of our loved ones.

Donald Duck and his nephews as angels mourn the victims - Angel Duck pleads for the victims
Unfortunately, a lot of people died this year, as well as the previous ones, and many accidents unfortunately happened in which a lot of good people lost their lives. Yes, even though those days have passed, I certainly dedicate this on the occasion of this annual All Saints' Day and the Day of the Dead as well as Memorial Day dedicated to deceased (known and unknown) persons who lost their lives until now, whether from disease, hunger, or in war or some natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, mine collapse).
Three days ago is All Souls' Day, while the previous day was All Saints' Day, and the day before that day was Reformation Day. Mostly Christians around the world mark these days by visiting the cemeteries of their loved ones who have left this world by lighting candles for them and placing candles on their deceased. Also, people pray for their loved ones to be better in the other world. Unlike Catholics and Protestants, some Orthodox have a holiday called "Memorial" and it is mostly on four Saturdays during the year. One of those is the first Saturday in November, which are also called Mitrovdanske "Zadusnice". Unfortunately, many famous people (but also unknown people) died during this year, and the list is long, so I would not be able to list them all, certainly let them all rest in peace. Amen.
The old drawing on which the angel Duck is praying was drawn in February, and it was dedicated to the victims of the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, in which 30,000 people died, and now, unfortunately, the war in Gaza has killed several thousand, mostly children. Yes, there are casualties on both sides. For this reason, I drew Donald and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie as angels who are in heaven crying and begging for the salvation of their souls. Whether they will be saved, everything depends on God (this applies to believers and those who believe) and on the persons themselves. And no, they didn't die, but they represent people both young and old who died in many accidents. Of course, Christians believe in eternal life, but it depends on prayer and how many of those people will enter heaven. Not to complicate the topic, this is certainly sad and dedicated to the dead. May they have eternal glory and may they rest in peace! Amen!
Unfortunately, this is also a tribute to deceased actors who played these characters such as Clarence Nash and Russi Taylor. Eternal glory to them and peace to their souls! Amen.

The commemoration of all the faithful departed is celebrated by the Church on November 2.
If this falls on a Sunday or a solemnity, the feast is celebrated on November 3.
All Souls' Day is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed, observed by Roman Catholics and other Christians on November 2.
Through prayer, intercessions, alms, and visits to cemeteries, people commemorate the poor souls in purgatory and gain them indulgences.
The Catholic Church teaches that the purification of the souls in purgatory can be assisted by the actions of the faithful on earth.
The Office of the Dead must be recited by the clergy on this day, and all the Masses are to be of Requiem except one of the current feast, where this is an obligation.
The theological basis for the feast is the doctrine that the souls which, on departing from the body are not perfectly cleansed from venial sins or have not fully atoned for past transgressions, are debarred from the Beatific Vision, and that the faithful on earth can help them by prayers, almsgiving and especially the sacrifice of the Mass.
In the early days of Christianity, the names of the departed brethren were entered in the diptychs.
Later, in the sixth century, it was customary in Benedictine monasteries to hold a commemoration of the deceased members at Whitsuntide.
In Spain, there was such a day on Saturday before Sexagesima or before Pentecost at the time of Saint Isidore (d. 636).
In Germany, there existed (according to the testimony of Widukind, Abbot of Corvey, c.980) a time-honoured ceremony of praying to the dead on October 1. This was accepted and sanctified by the Church.
Saint Odilo of Cluny ordered that the commemoration of all the faithful departed be held annually in the monasteries of his congregation.
From here, it spread among the other congregations of the Benedictines and among the Carthusians.
Of all the dioceses, Liège was the first to adopt it under Bishop Notger (d. 1008). It was then found in the martyrology of Saint Protadius of Besançon (1053-66).
Bishop Otricus (1120-25) introduced it in Milan on October 15. In Spain, Portugal and Latin America, priests say three Masses on this day.
A similar concession for the entire world was asked of Pope Leo XIII; he would not grant the favour but ordered a special Requiem on Sunday, 30 September 1888.
In the Greek Rite, this commemoration is held on the eve of Sexagesima Sunday or on the eve of Pentecost.
The Armenians celebrate the passover of the dead on the day after Easter.

An exorcism? In my family-friendly Deltarune? It's more likely than you may think. The backgrounds here were very interesting! Much more complex than how I usually do them (especially that computer).

Title: History of Halloween: Pagan or Christian? Channel: ReligionForBreakfast (Dr. Andrew Henry) Length: 8:01
Introduces Samhain as the predecessor to Halloween, practiced in Pre-Christian Ireland. Much of our information on Samhain was recorded hundreds of years later by Christian monks. Was a time of spiritual activity (fae, dead, etc); early festivities involved large bonfires. Samhain gives Halloween its sense of the supernatural, and the Christian holidays of All Souls' and All Saints' Days gives Halloween ritual. The name itself comes from All Hallows' (Saints') Eve. Different Christian communities practiced their own versions of these days in different times of the year. Trick-Or-Treat may have evolved from a Christian practice of going around offering to pray for the souls of the recently dead.

Scrooge McDuck and his sisters at their parents' graveyard.
Although I'm already late, I'm definitely posting this on the occasion of All Souls' Day, that is, Remembrance Day, which honors the memory of deceased persons at the beginning of November. Yes, a lot of people died this year, both famous and unknown, and I don't have enough time to pay tribute to all of them, certainly eternal glory to them and may they rest in peace. Amen.
I did a redraw from last year where Scrooge mourns his parents (more about this there: https://www.tumblr.com/ducktoonsfanart/678109418403086336/i-miss-you-mcpapa-and-mcmama-scrooge-mcduck ), but I tweaked my style a bit and added his sisters, Matilda and Hortense who mourn their parents Fergus McDuck and Downy McDuck (née O' Drake). Yes buried at the McDuck Clan family castle in Scotland. Otherwise drawn as if they were living in the time of the 1920s era when Scrooge reached his greatest wealth and when he still had a good relationship with his sisters before he fell out with them. I definitely took inspiration from Don Rosa comics and his collection called "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck". The parents of Scrooge, Fergus and Downy look down from another world (probably from heaven) on their children and are glad for what they have achieved in their lives. Scrooge achieved his fortune, Matilda married scientist Ludwig von Drake and Hortense married Quackmore of the famous Duck family. However, it is sad that they are no longer in this world and will be missed by their children, until their children reach a very old age and go to them in the other world. But it depends on the Creator what will happen.
Yes, I drew them wearing black clothes, because black clothes are usually worn at funerals and when visiting a cemetery.
All in all, may their souls rest in peace as well as all the people who died from the beginning of November last year until now. Eternal glory to them and peace to their souls! Rest in peace! Amen.

Here’s a compilation video showing various groups performing Chesire soul-caking plays - these are the Warburton, Comberbach and Antrobus Soul Cakers.
The Antrobus Soul Cakers are particularly famous, and if you’re in the north west of England, it’s not too late in the season to see them perform - over the next ten days they have a lot of dates coming up, which you can find in more screen reader-friendly format in this post on their Facebook page, along with links to the venues.

Andrew is the favorite uncle. Not just for Aaron and Nicky’s kids but all the foxes kids are just obsessed with uncle Andrew.
None of the foxes understand why except for Neil. But that only because Neil is there when Andrew gets up at three am to answer a phone call from their sobbing niece, who admits for the first time out loud that maybe she isn’t a boy and “is that okay uncle Andrew”. Or when Kevin’s kid shows up at there house after getting in an argument with her dad and Andrew lets her rage and rant until it doesn’t seem like the end of the world anymore, then walks her home (hc: they live pretty close for a while cause their on the same team). Or when nobody can get Aaron’s twins to stop crying but as soon as Andrew is given a turn at trying to calm the babies they stop immediately.
The kids all love Andrew he’s the first one they go to with their issues, he’s the first one they run too when all the foxes are together, he’s the first one that they come out too if they’re queer(Nicky is so mad when his kid comes out to Andrew before him)
He’s just a really good uncle.

THE DESCRIPTION OF ALL SOULS' DAY Feast Day: November 2
It was also described as the 'Day of the Dead' and the 'Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed'.
We commemorated today all the souls in Purgatory. That is the place or state in which the souls who died in venial sin, or have not fully atoned for their past transgressions are purified before entering into paradise. The suffering of purgatory consists of intense pain of longing for God, whose beatific vision is delayed. Paradise and hell are eternal while purgatory will end at Judgment Day. We can help the souls in Purgatory expiate their sins by offering alms, prayers and masses.
The Second Book of Maccabees (2 Maccabees) shows the proof of the existence in Purgatory. It said that Judas Maccabeus, the son of Mattathias the priest and led the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire, offered prayers at the Temple of Jerusalem for those who have died while wearing the amulets of the idols. They could not go to paradise, because they died in sin; neither they could go to hell, because they were fighting a holy war for Yahweh. Therefore, they went into place of purification, which we call Purgatory.
As the book have said: 'Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin.'
