Black Butler Amino, Black Arts Magazine - Holiday Party
it doesn't quite look like a holiday party from here, but what I imagined as a humble little piece is~~ Ciel and Lizzy sneak away from the big bustling midford Christmas party and raid the kitchen desserts, like they did when they were kids(it was Lizzy's idea, Ciel clearly hasn't been himself since he returned, and she wanted to bring him back).

original thief series basso & garrett :)
ngl, it's about quality over quantity for me. an npc can have a total of three minutes of screen time, but if they have a cool name, they can live rent free in my head and I'll spend several hours trying to decipher drawable features from a blurry screenshot of pixels
there is a vague hint of a story here, and that's because every time I try to play thi4f, I get incredibly frustrated with how Not Fun the game play is. like, is the story good? well. but it has a PLAGUE. that should've given it instant 'I'll replay this once a year' status in my heart, but the game play sucks so bad that I've never finished it. I can't believe Not Fun gameplay beat out my obsession with narrative plagues.
anyway, the idea is basically if the original era had a game with a plague centric narrative and some other stuff I liked out of thi4f thrown into a narrative blender, with a heavy dash of horror thrown in because some parts of the thief games were scarier to me than entire dedicated horror genre games.

Interrogation/torture scenes where Whumper is just as gentle as they are cruel.
Their voice is soft even as they slide a serrated knife beneath Whumpee’s skin, methodically drawing out screams. Between rounds, they crouch on their heels as if calming a scared child, tilting their head to peer underneath a sweaty curtain of hair.
They ask guilessly, as blood drips steadily from the knife in their hand, “Should we try this again?”

One of my favourite things about Buddy Daddies is the fact that Miri is incredibly well-written.
In Episode 8, Miri asks more about Rei's father — her grandpa. She's excited at first, but when she finds out that it won't be possible to meet Suwa Shigeki, she asks, "So is Grandpapa mad at Papa Rei?"
She continues:
We don't know how Miri frames the argument in her four-year-old mind, but I wouldn't be surprised if she imagined the pair fighting over the last cookie, or something.
Kazuki, however, somewhat forgets that he's talking to a tiny pop and starts telling Miri about the complicated family dynamic:
Watching this part, I felt pretty sceptical — how was Miri going to understand concepts like 'special circumstances', overbearing expectations, family businesses and so on? It would have been pretty ridiculous if she'd followed everything Kazuki said and responded like an adult.
But Miri, darling Miri, zeroes in on one particular part of Kazuki's dialogue:
The bit that really matters to a four-year-old child! The bit that she can understand!
Kazuki corrects Miri. The conversation concludes with Miri coming back on track; she simplifies the situation, no doubt relating it to her own experiences at daycare:
And that's another reason why the writing for Unasaka Miri is fantastic.

saw a post that said Crowley calls Aziraphale "Azira" affectionately and had an unbridled hater moment of HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT.jpg like are u kidding me. Crowley would NEVER do Aziraphale the indignity of shortening his name that mf's name is Aziraphale and it's a mouthful and Crowley will say it with his mouth full of syllables every time he calls Aziraphale bc that's the level of drama and decorum and grandeur Aziraphale demands, if Crowley ever called Aziraphale any shortened version of his name Aziraphale would walk out and not talk to Crowley for at least five decades. "Azira" 🙄🙄🙄 is she ("Angel") not good enough for you???
The honour and indignity of calling Aziraphale Az Azira or Zira or whatever deviant nickname lies with the clown circus aka me and my big-brained mutuals when we are exchanging our big-brain thoughts and making our big-brained posts and Aziraphale's name is too long to type out every goddamn time. Crowley would rather drink holy water and walk backwards into hell than do the same. Hope that helps.

Oooh, they had a segment on last Sunday's "Sendung mit der Maus" of German learners telling a German fairy tale and IT'S SO INTERESTING! Just hearing all the accents and the different kinds of mistakes speakers of different native languages make and thinking "Oh, I wonder if I can figure out what their native language is". I also just love the concept of that segment on a children's show. "A bunch of people are telling you a fairy tale and you can tell they're making mistakes while speaking and maybe figure out that that's because they're still learning, but we're not going to go into that. We're just going to focus on the fairy tale." Something about that just makes me squee.
