Dua on a blessed Friday. It is Jummah today, the most blessed day of the week, when duas are likely to be accepted. It is an opportunity given by Allah to let my heart release its sorrows and worries and fly to my Lord. It is a much needed day of hope. Ya Allah, You who knows every little sadness hidden on the depths of my heart, bring me Your Sakeenah. Bring it to the Ummah who is suffering a lot these days. Bring it to my fellow sisters and fellow revert sisters. I have sisters who are alone, who lost are are scared to loose their families and everything they have. Ya Allah ease them and send them Your beautiful blessings. I have sisters who are victims of injustice, violence, harassment, blackmail, defamation, grand them a way out of this and replace this situation with a great and durable, stable tranquility. You are the only one who knows our struggles, and most of my sisters suffer in silence, don't have any one else but You to confess their grief, and You are the listener. Ya Allah, grant us ease in this life and the hereafter, tranquility and dignity. Whatever we are going through, give us the best end possible. QOTD: A book that changed your life... For me till date it was The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, but now I think it is a more elaborated, enhanced version of the that book which came to my favourites list. ❤ And that is this one, SECRETS OF DIVINE LOVE by A. Helwa published by @penguinindia ~BOOK TALK~ I have literally highlighted the entire book, the secrets, thoughts, saying, citings, examples, and what not, this book in all sense is a masterpiece. Everything is explained with refined choice of words, the experience of the author, the research behind it is evident in the narration throughout the work. Islam, a religion known to all, talked by many, and stereotyped by few, is not what we see, neither what we hear, it is meant to be felt from within. The Divine Love of the Divine Being, Allah swt, is what I read in words in this book. Ayats from the Holy Quran are mentioned as evidence to every point presented by the author. At times it felt heavy on heart to read, the words are soo indepth and strike ones soul and entire existence. Every chapter is followed by a few excerises/ things one can do to get closer to God. They helped me a lot to search my own soul.❤ And I will continue to write and read them, like forever. One's connection with God is from within and not just through prayers, that's what we find here, a way to reach that place. Although, this book talks majorly mentions the way of Islamic living, like fasting, Namaz, Zakat, and other things, one never feels disconnected with and left out. This is inclusive, for one and all, beacause it address the Supreme. I can keep on writing about it, but love to take it further in my future posts and blog, the link of which will be live soon.
