sometimes all it takes to make things a little more okay is for someone to say “I believe in you.” As a kid who was made to feel like nothing I did was good enough, taught that any form of failure was bad instead of a learning experience and felt judged from friends and family what I needed was for someone to say to me “I believe in you.” Whether this had come from a peer, a teacher or a family member I could have avoided so much. For me to believe in myself when I was younger I needed for someone to believe in me first. If someone you know is struggling, or if you know someone who is young, please, please, please tell them that you believe in them. You never know if they might need it.

Hello everyone! I’m Chiara and this isn’t actually my first studyblr, but my old one was a sideblog, which i found annoying. So i decided to start a new one, just in time for my fifth and last year of high school, to stay motivated when i’m studying for my Big Scary “Maturità” exam. (please help me i’m terrified)

About me:

I turned 18 in may

I’m Italian 

I’m about to finish high school and i have never been more confused about my future

I’m a proud hufflepuff

I’m passionate about politics and the harry potter franchise

I watch too many tv shows

My school mainly focuses on scientific subjects (maths, physics, chemistry, biology), but I also study latin literature and grammar (the actual bane of my existence), history, philosophy, arts history, Italian literature, and english grammar and literature

Joining the studyblr community last year has helped me sooo much to stay motivated and i managed to improve my grades in almost every subject, so I decided to create this blog to help me maintain my good study habits when i’m preparing for my “end-of-high-school” exams!

reflection no. 2

they say the sun will shine again  rain clouds will scatter and fade like scars but my 2019 wasn’t like the weather 

this year, I turned twenty-one  fell in and out of love  hit my rock bottom and climbed to the top (twice) these things seem trivial to anyone beyond my personal reflection  but to me, being me, it feels... nice 

I never thought I’d reach this milestone  I don’t know why  before this year I looked in the mirror and saw a child  dependent, scared, untrustworthy of myself  but when I reached the top of that metaphorical life-mountain twice I think my relationship with me was reconciled 

I come from a family of atheists  so divine intervention never crossed my mind  but this year, for the first time, I experienced something magical excitement to live to feel another sunrise on my skin to watch the rain clouds come and go with undivided, unburdened attention and to breathe 

my 2019 was not like the weather  I turned twenty-one,  fell in and out of love, and I began the process of loving myself so I would like to end the year by saying and, because this may be the end of a year of a decade but it is only the beginning for me
