Catz GBA: Boss of the Alley Cats | Ending Guide

My first time picking this game up since I was like, 6. I wasn't sure what to expect honestly, and all the guides I found on the internet were pretty obscure and limited.

Since nobody else has taken it upon themselves to make all of the endings (everyone has the same handful of them) I decided, I will.

Intro

Alright if you've clicked that, you're actually interested in this. Cool. Welcome! So we start by adopting our first cat, a Russian Blue, who we name "Retro" because I'm extremely original.

Totally.

Our goal is to get his Punch to level 6...But no higher!

How though? What's the most effective?

The Strategy/Things to Know

FIRST, DO THESE UNTIL ONLY LEVEL 6 PUNCH! If you level to 8, you'll get a different ending. Also try to keep everything else around 4-5!

Playing on "easy" or one of your first runs is ideal for any lower level, as to not make yourself fall asleep of boredom or something. (Basically, don't have two level 6+ cats, or one with 2 level 6+ already. It adds more days.)

KEEP THE DOOR OPEN. If you want Punch and just some fun story scenes, that'll help.

Wait until the food need is only 1-2 bars remaining, so you get the "Wow, you gobbled that up!" bonus.

Don't put yourself to sleep. Your mom will yell at you and you'll get more time than if you wake up early.

Avoid napping at all costs. It reduces your punch and there's basically no way you'd be too high of a level by time you'd get access to need to level down.

Don't bother with water. It won't actually help you and your cat doesn't need it to survive in this game. It just boosts looks.

Instant Pack [+20 +21 +22] [600 Coins] - Ideal

Chicken 'N Rice [+20 +21 +22] [800 Coins] - If you have money to spend, this is here to relieve you of the burden.

Snacks

Idk why you'd get these honestly, not worth it unless you're trying to kill time after hitting 6.

Catnip Stick [+13 +14 +15] [100 Coins] - Ideal

Cat Grass [+09 +10 +11] [ 100 Coins] - Slightly less ideal

Toys

These are made for punch so all of them are going to give you a boost, but there's a couple that stick out for grinding.

Punchball [+74 Maxed] - Top Choice, What I used the majority of my run combined with the Bouncy Ball

Bouncy Ball [+50 Maxed] - Solid Choice

Other Toys

Super Teaser [+50 Maxed] - More Interactive if you're bored

RC Mouse [+70 Maxed] - Good for reducing mood and friend levels if you need too, plus strong punch.

Grooming, Bonding, and Carrying

Not worth your time. Grooming decreases and you'll be on week 2 by time you unlock the ideal punch stats for this. Carrying is fun but doesn't do much in terms of stats.

Neurotic Catz Breeding Project

Aka, mad wizard experiments that would likely be unethical irl.

Goals: breed a cat in Petz 4 that's as Neurotic as possible by crossing breeds and selecting for "negative" personality traits

What does this mean?

Basically, I'm selecting for traits that make Catz act antisocial, picky, or otherwise odd. I was inspired by @yourselfcola 's Damien, who is high in many if these traits himself, and is very cute and fun to watch. Additionally, I'm experimenting to see what crossing these breeds looks like, as most seem to be fairly uncommon crosses. And, I'm documenting everything I do as I learn how to do this effectively and for the scientific aspect. This post will serve as a master post/directory for my posts and progress, you can follow along with the tag "neurotic catz"

Traits I'm selecting for: Low Confidence, High Naughtiness, High Finickiness, High Quirkyness, and High Insanity. If possible, I'd like to have a high Dogginess as well, but that's a lower priority.

Breeding stock for attempt 1: vanilla Chinchilla Persian, vanilla Siamese, Silverfish's Small Eared Oshie OW, and Black Mist's Mostly Flealess Alley Cat OW

For attempt two I’ll be using @yourselfcola’s Proportional Chinchilla Persian OW, so I end up with fewer bee sting or potato cats

These cats all have aspects of what I want, and the overwrites will add some fun colours into the lines right away!
