Also allistics: Oh my god, he's hesitating before he speaks, he must be lying 🤔

Kabru is such a character
it's interesting how from i.e. Laios' perspective the story is like fun adventure mixed with drama when his sister is gone.
but from Kabru's perspective it feels like a thriller or a horror story and Laios is one of more terrifying things in it due to the simplicity of how enthusiastic he is around it.
Kabru's there, in the place that terrifies him the most, meeting a person who loves said place and everything involved with it with all his heart. And the longer he knows said person, the more he's terrified of him.

I will not name names but *stares at allistic people* some people *stares specifically at allistic therapists and other mental health area allistics* need to learn how annoying it is to be labeled by how tolerable your autism is.
One cannot be *mildly* autistic. One cannot have *a touch* of the tism. Your autistic or your not. If someone came up to you and said to your face "your mildly annoying" would you be offended? Because that's what you're saying. I don't care if my symptoms annoy you, I care about how it feels like the clothes I'm wearing are strangling me.

no I fucking can't stand it when allistic people aren't listening bc when autistic people aren't listening they space out then realise you're waiting for a response and say "I'm sorry I only heard like 30% of that" and I'll be like "hey that's cool josh it's all in the email anyway dont worry about it."
when an allistic person isn't listening they will just interject with the exact opposite assumption of what you just fucking said in that condescending tone like you're the one who's not communicating right.
Me: I was online shopping an etsy business the other day and the website kept crashing --
Coworker: you were on our website the other day and it kept crashing??
FUCKING NO DARYL USE YOUR FUCKING EARS AND LISTEN TO PEOPLE FUCK GOD DAMN YOU.

Autistic selfshippers u are amazing and your f/o adores you and they love hearing you infodump and seeing how happy your special interests make you. They love your collections and passions. They love your stims and expressions. The way you talk and the way you are. They love you completely and entirely. You are perfect to them not in spite of your autism and symptoms but just entirely and unconditionally!

Person-first language can be a perfectly fine way to address others, but if you have to do so in order to remind yourself that the people you talk about are, in fact, people, maybe it isn't the language you're using that's bad, but the way you fundamentally view the people you are talking about.

I think Ed kind of does have some issues communicating it's just that those issues aren't being bad at communicating they're "I operate at a certain level of honesty and I expect others to do the same" it's less of a "I can't read social cues" and more of a "why would I bother with that social cue when you directly contradicted it with your mouth? I'm just gonna go with what your mouth said." And honestly I think that this is the right way to communicate and we should start accusing Stede and Izzy of having trouble with communication actually. Like yeah Stede had a big neon "doesn't want to run away to China" sign directly above his head and it was flashing, but he said yes I will go to China with you so that's his problem for not clarifying.

Allistics, can you pick something else besides silence as the designated way of expressing displeasure? Cuz sometimes I just don't have anything to say and I don't mean to offend

nuerotypical people, i am not your fucking pet, autism isn't "silly" or "funny" or "cute" i literally want 2 rip my skin off when i can't read tone or when i touch something wet and squishy. i will shut down if i think i upset you. i will cut you out of my life if you're too overstimulating and step my boundaries. my special interests aren't something to be babied, and not wanting to be touched isn't just a quirk, my anger isn't okay to blow off just because i'm autistic, i'm still feeling these emotions. i am a real person. stop babying autistic people or treating them as a hand purse when you wanna say something problematic and back it up w, "i have an autistic friend/kid/sibling!"
sincerely, an autistic person who doesn't need your goddamn opinion on my disorder. 🌈♾️

allistic acting like they know-it-all......
I HATE!!! when allistic/neurotypical people acts like know-it-all about my autism diagnosis and belittles my experiences... and come up with their own "cause", as to why i might be feeling a certain way. And when you tell them off and say 'no it's like this or because of that. It because of ....' they tend to get angry. Sometimes i feel like they try to remove me from my autism diagnosis, like they are two seperate things.
This happen to me today. I opened up on how my autism diagnosis presented? itself at work. My dad tried to say "it might be that way, because those who has been there many years will have more experience". And when my brother started asking about our conversation my dad said "Julie, is worring about how she's acting autistic at work".. and he said it an annoying and kinda lika like a mocking way. I started the job quite recently, like less than a month (i'm an intern). My dad has an outsiders perspective of it, yet he thinks he is right. I notice things like mannerisms, ways of communicating, fatigue etc. I mask quite a lot at work, and try not to let anything autism related slip up. Because they might view me differently if i do so. - Out of my both my of my parents, my dad is def the one who is the least understanding and dismissive about it. I know it's though being a parent, whose child gets diagnosed. It hit's them hard too ya know.
