let ace people exist. let aro people exist. let aroace people exist. let alloace people exist. let aroallo people exist.
leave them be if they choose to have sex. leave them be if they choose not to have sex.
leave them be if they choose to have romance. leave them be if they choose not to have romance.
leave them be if they prioritize friendship. leave them be if they do not prioritize friendship.
leave us be, and let us live our lives.

I wish there was more alloaro content out there. So much aro content is exclusively aroace. It also feels so unfair bc there is no shortage of alloace content. It just feels like alloaros are always kind of left behind when it comes to the a in lgbtqia.

If a label fits you, you have every right to use it. Even if it’s “contradictory”.
Being queer is not a club that people can exclude you from.
If your queer identity doesn’t hurt anyone, own it.

For Pride Month, we decided to delve into the history of some of the terms frequently used in the ace community (and next week, we’ll be diving into aro terms)!
[ID: “History of Some Ace Spectrum Terminology. On May 30, 1997, Zoe O'Reilly posted an article online titled "My Life as an Amoeba", discussing her experience with zero sexual attraction and using "asexual" to describe her orientation. The article had a thriving comments section of people realizing the term "asexual" might work for them, too.”
“In 2003, the term "semisexual" was proposed on the AVEN forums as a word to describe a point between asexuality and allosexuality. It wasn't until 2006 that AVEN user KSpaz suggested the term "gray-a", which stuck. "Demisexual" was also coined in 2006 by another AVEN user - sonofzeal.”
“ "Autochorissexual" was a term introduced in 2012 by researcher Anthony Bogaert . This has largely been replaced by the community-created term "aegosexual", due to Bogaert's description of autochorissexuality as a paraphila [a non-normative sexual behavior, sometimes synonymous with disorder] and people wanting to move away from that negative implication. “ End ID.]

Reoriented / Adapt-oriented
A Term for folks who would be willing to re-adjust their orientation/attraction in way that would align and support their current partner(s) possible gender identity changes or transitioning
( example : a straight woman whose partner transitions to a woman would readjust her orientation to be lesbian/sapphic or multisexual out of support of her partners new gender identity.)
Mostly for any mono-oriented folks that feel like they would do this for their current partner(s) but mspecs could use it as well to show that they would be supportive of any gender change/transition their current partner(s) might go through
The opposite of this : Nonreoriented / Nonadapt-oriented

Listening to my allo friends about people's bodies and realizing my fav spicy fanfics aren't exagerrating is wild. How the hell did I not understand sooner I'm that far into that ace spectrum??
We need to teach in high school what different types of attraction actually are cause that confusion...

Do any other allo aces have this experience?
A “hot” person to me isn’t someone who I want to sleep with, but they’re still deeply attractive. So not “I wanna fuck them” hot, just “wow” hot.

Join my Aspec Discord Server
Hi yall
I made a discord for everyone who is on the ace and/or aro spectrums.
Aspec identities are a special interest/hyperfixation of mine. I facilitate the acearo meeting at my college, and somehow relate every school essay or project to talk about aspec identities if I can.
I really like helping people learn and discover that they’re aspec and I figured I could reach out to more of the community this way.
I tried to be as inclusive as possible, and I know there is still a lot that I can and will add.
Whether you’re questioning, have known you’re aspec for awhile, or are anywhere in between, I invite you to join.

alloace content 🎀
being alloace is such an odd experience, especially since i haven’t experienced romantic attraction until recently (i think it’s romantic?)
so i came out to my friends as aroace and before that as a lesbian and BEFRE THAT as a bisexual. they’re extremely confused to say the least.
it was hard to explain, though I did, like we sat down and I did my best to explain how I find people attractive, but I don’t necessarily want to date anyone…
like dating seems okay to me at times, at other times not so much, but the only person ever that I wanted to date is my current crush.
because i always idolised the idea of dating and the people i liked, the attraction was gone immediately after a while, because obviously i liked them aesthetically and didn’t actually want to date them.
but this mf is different, i want to actually date him and get to know him and i actually fr want to do that stuff and it’s stressful ngl…
anyways happy saturday to all alloace’s and aroace’s and aroallo’s and anyone in between, to my a-spec’s!!! my aplatonic buddies and afamilial buddies!
