This post is tinhatting to the nth degree, and it includes speculation about the current State of the Union of Cockles that is undoubtedly unpopular. If you're sensitive about this subject, turn back now.

(For the sake of context: I adore Cockles and want them to last forever.)

Someone mentioned that Jensen was asked at a recent con to name a favorite band or song. He answered that he had just learned to sing and to play a song called "Wondering Why" on guitar.

I read the lyrics to the song, which I am including here. Clearly he means this song to be a tribute to Danneel:

"She comes from silver spoon, golden rule, private school Never missed Sunday church And I come from blue collar, low dollar Out here where concrete meets old red dirt

And I don't know what happened But it sure don't add up on paper But when I close my eyes late at night You can bet I thank my maker

My first reaction was, "That's really interesting, Jensen doesn't typically sing love songs that clearly reference the 'she/her' pronouns, so he is experiencing a renewed appreciation for Danneel." Wonder why...?

The lyrics are also taking a dig at a certain kind of person, the kind who is only "along for the ride." I wondered if that particular line was a dig at Misha, as I believe Jensen might have distanced himself from Misha due to the whole girlfriend debacle. I attended Burcon and the Jenmish panel, and I felt very strongly that Jensen had changed toward Misha, most likely due to Misha's inviting a new woman into his life, and also most likely without asking anyone else's consent to do so (except maybe from his kids). Judging by the cold (as in Arctic) mood of the panel, as well as a few mean-spirited swipes at Misha, something was definitely off between the two.

The song says she has "angel eyes" ?

Also: "It's a little old piece of heaven/When we lay down at night." Jensen has sung Bryan Adams' song "Heaven," which is thought by many to be a song he sings for Misha. ("When I'm lying here in your arms/I'm finding it hard to believe/We're in heaven.")

And I kept thinking about that line--"along for the ride." Could that be what a hurt and jealous Jensen thinks about Misha? That Misha was really just along for the ride, as opposed to Danneel, who has remained loyal and committed to him through thick and thin?

And then I saw a poem Alma posted on their story today. It's titled "Along for the Ride."

(I have no proof of anything. I know nothing. Just a mind that tends to see connections. And yes, possibly where there aren't any.)

If folks come at me for this, I guess I'll do what I always end up doing these days- -I'll have to delete it.

Oh well.

POSTSCRIPT: SInce the posting of "I'm going I'm gone," Alma really went. Not even posting their daily favorite verses on their Instagram story, which have been a staple of their account for several years. Alma, please come back. We weren't just along for the ride.

Alma Perpetua mystery, Misha?

When I rediscovered Supernatural a few months ago & finally came across some of the behind the scene stories about the cast. One I found most intriguing was the gossip that the Instagram poet Alma Perpetua was Misha or someone close to him. I follow Alma's account simply because I like the poems posted on it full stop but I am starting to think that the idea that these works are often coded with reference to the show/actors might be a possibility. See this post about moustaches that Alma posted on Threads shortly after Mr Ackles turned up with much discussed new facial hair at a recent convention. So my take on this is that the possibilities are:

Alma is simply a fan of the show & uses their writing sometimes to reference it as their favourite topic is love & they were inspired by the whole Destiel/Cockles saga. Misha follows Alma so it is even possible that he has met the poet and is supportive of them using the show as an inspiration. After all many SPN fans write short stories already so why not poetry

The SPN reference are used as a publicity boost. The poet knows that the show still has a big audience, so why not maintain and play with the possibility to get their poems more widely known

There is some truth about the Misha link: either someone in his inner circle of the man himself have something to do with the works

The account is actually not the work of a single person but of a group of poets.

Anyway, I tend to this is more likely the work of a fan than Misha himself but I think it makes for a fun mystery and I will continue enjoy Alma's work.

Alma

(This is a lot. Much more than I originally intended. I apologize. I was going to submit this to someone as an 'ask,' but instead, I'll put this out into the nether.)

So, while sipping my morning tea and browsing Twitter, I stumbled upon this that Alma posted in reply to a poetry thread.

Now obviously, the ship part caught my eye simply because of the 'Dent'stiel Valentine Misha sent out last night shortly before about how "Apparently, some ships can't be sunk."

Okay, now that could obviously just be a coincidence, so I smiled about the possibility and then moved on with my life. Whether Alma is Misha or not, and no matter how much I want to know, it isn't something I'd ever talk about ANYWHERE ELSE outside of Tumblr because, c'mon... respect, right?

I've always felt that the goal isn't to out Misha as Alma, but instead to enjoy his musings and feel as though we're getting a look at him through a different lens.

So, that brings me to the next part, which got me about 25% excited about tin hatting and 75% worried for Alma (Misha?).

I stumbled upon this that happened on Feb 10th.

The original tweet has been deleted, but I found where the original poster took a screenshot... of a screenshot... that shows what Alma's reply was in response to.

First things first, and I'm not going to spend much time talking about the person because, frankly, I'm... upset. We'll just use the word upset. I scrolled through their tweets briefly, and it didn't take long to see that she's basically been harassing Misha and spouting nonsense about 'twin flames.' I'm hoping that, at some point, they get the help that they need.

Secondly, I wish people wouldn't have immediately gone in with the 'wrong account buddy' and whatnot. It would have been better for them to send a DM to Alma or at least be a bit more subtle. I just don't want Alma (Misha?!) to feel like they can't be open with their poetry and posts. Don't disappear on us!

Now, I'd like to see what others think, not just about the above, but about this next part.

Whenever I saw that Alma had a Twitter and that they didn't follow Misha, and Misha didn't follow them (like he does on Insta), that made me doubt whether or not they were the same person. Now though, I'm wondering how Alma knew to reply to that thread with "Promise?" in the first place.

It's possible that the Twitter algorithm is to blame for this and that, somehow, this crazy tweet ended up on their newsfeed. That being said, I'm not so sure. It's really pushing me back into thinking Alma might actually be Misha.

Thoughts? (Also, this is my first actual post, so please be easy on me.)
