Omegaverse Key

Masterlist

I’ll be making a lot of omegaverse stories soon so I thought I would make a key to what I follow

Note: Not all my stories will be the same. Meaning some people might change from omega, alpha, or beta considering on the story

These are the basics that all my stories will go by (Unless asked for otherwise in a request, or if I decide to change it for the story)

Alpha~ Hard tops. They’re at the top, automatically the strongest. Usually Alpha’s will become pro heroes, but it isn’t uncommon to see them doing normal jobs. Alpha’s have strong powering scents. They’re scent glands are located, one on each side of there neck, one on each wrist, and one on each ankle

Beta~ Switches. They’re more like us. Normal everyday people. Betas tend to be mixed between pro heroes and having normal jobs. They have a less strong scent, and it’s less noticeable. They only have a scent glands on each side of there neck

Omega~ Bottoms. Usually more “mistreated.” Theres scents are sweet and pleasing. Not many omega’s are pro heroes but you will find some, most have normal jobs. They have one scent glands on each side of there neck, one on each wrist, one on each ankle, and one on the inside of each thigh

Rut~ Ruts start for an alpha after the 16th birthday. Alphas go through ruts every two months. It depends on the person, but it lasts at least 3 days. During this time all they can think about is breeding and protecting a omega. Nobody wants to be around a rutting alpha, (unless you’re the alphas omega) so they keep close track on when it’s coming

Heat~ Heats start for an omega after the 15th birthday. Omegas go through heats once a month. Lasting 5-10 days. During that all they do is nest, think about getting breed, and finding a alpha. I can be dangerous for a omega to be in public in heat, but they can usually feel it coming, and keep track around when it should be about to happen, so they’re usually locked up in there homes

Nesting~ An omega’s nest is the most precious thing to them. They don’t just nest during heat, they do it all the time, it’s a sign of being health. They fill it with comforting soft things that make them feel good, usually there alphas clothes, but if they don’t have one then just comfort stuff. There nest is usually located in a small warm place, like a corner or closet. An omega doesn’t want anyone near there nest. They will only invite there alpha to there nest if they 100% trust them, and maybe not even then

Den’s~ An alphas Den is like an omegas nest except it’s always just one big room (usually the bedroom) It filled with things they like and is the place where they’re scent is absolutely the strongest. An alpha wants no one but his/her omega (or pups) in the den. If any unknown scents come near an alpha den, it’s not pretty let’s just say that. Depending on the couple an omega might put it’s nest in its alphas den, but of course it’s where ever the omega wants, however ultimately after they have kids the omegas nest will be moved into the alphas den for taking care of the pups. If an alpha is having a bad day or just needs time alone it’s den is 100% where it’ll go for the time being

Knotting~ Male alpha’s/ male omega’s have a knot that swells on there penis when they cum. It secures them in the female alpha/omega for anywhere between 15 minutes to 2 hours, increasing the chance of the female getting pregnant. Once it’s swollen in, if it’s attempted to be removed it can be more painful for the female alpha/omega. The male doesn’t have to be in rut/heat to knot, but it won’t stay swollen nearly as long. Only lasting between 5-10 minutes, maybe longer, again depending on the person

Breeding~ Females, omega or alpha, can get pregnant by males, omega or alpha. An alpha male can’t get an omega male pregnant. Beta males can only get beta females and omegas pregnant. Bottom line, males can’t get pregnant and only females can get pregnant. But a alpha can’t get pregnant by a beta, only a omega

Mating~ During rut/heat the alpha/omega’s fangs will grow longer and sharpen, having a itch to bite. They can only permanently mate while in rut/heat. They don’t have to both be in heat or rut, but whoever is getting bitten at the time or else it won’t be permanent. When a male is mated his knot will automatically swell and when a female, alpha or omega, is mated her scent will get increasingly more sweet. Nothing changes for a beta. Someone mates by biting onto someone else’s scent glands located on the neck. Once mated, is how people show they’re taken, marriage doesn’t exist since mating is permanent (if in heat/rut)

Growling/purring/chirping~ If a omega is extremely scared, they will chirp, alerting there alpha or any alpha around that there’s a distressed omega around. Both omegas and alphas purr and growl, a way to show emotion and calm there s/o

Other info: Suppressants don’t affect teeth, they will still be long even if someone’s on suppressants. Someone can make there teeth sharpen, like trying to be intimidating, but in general during heat/rut they’ll always be sharp. Scent blockers can be used to hide heat/rut, but it’ll be very uncomfortable for the person wearing them and they won’t last as long. Heat/rut suppressants can be taken to delay heat or rut. After a week, they won’t work and the heat/rut will still happen. It can also be harmful if they’re taken all the time so they are only used when full necessary. Breeding is highly instinctive. It’s rare to see a pair that isn’t alpha x omega or beta x beta. The only pair that isn’t common to see is male x male and female x female, since they can’t breed. Betas don’t go through heats or ruts, but they, male and female, have mild nesting and den habits, but not as extreme

Again, this is just what I go by in typical stories, unless asked otherwise in a request, or if I decide to change something for the fic

I mean, they probably wouldn't be surprised to find reader was an omega. Hell, I bet if reader did turn out to be an alpha, they'd force her to turn into a omega. Practically treat her like a helpless kitten as they baby her, and when you get enraged, they'd just call it "temper tantrums" and drug you to sleep.

Omega or not, they'd still make you a nest with EVERYONE'S things in it and they would 100% force you in it. When Enji comes home, he expects you to be resting in your nest with his hoodie. He frequently scents your stuff, but nothing beats his big warm hoodies.

The family doesn't want you to interacting with anyone that's not them, but alphas in particular are completely forbidden. If you're out and Shotou sees an alpha around, he's dragging you back home. If an alpha comes to visit Enji, you're being dragged to your nest where you're to stay until the alpha leaves.

Dabi, like in most of my AUs, will be a jerk to you. Teases you to no end about being an omega. And even if you're an alpha, he's still gonna call you weak. Tackles you almost every other day, doesn't get off you until you either call him the strongest, mama Rei comes to save you or you pass out.

Almost all of them try to scent you (yes, Dabi's version of scenting you is shoving your face in his sweaty armpit when he puts you in a headlock), but Rei takes it on a whole another level. She'd wear your clothes just so that they'd have her scent, makes you take naps with her in your nest, GROOMS YOU like mama cat does to her kittens. Doesn't matter if you're struggling to get away, she'll pin you down and you'll finally understand the difference between your and her strength.

You're not allowed to go out much, but since you melt Enji's heart very easily, he allows you to go out BUT only after giving you some scent suppressing medicines. Obviously, when you're of age and your heat finally comes, you're not allowed to leave the house at all. No, no. Enji and Rei already talked to the doctors about it a long time ago, and they've since decided to give you some sedatives and drugs during your heat. So now most of your heats are spent at home hibernating, Rei occasionally waking you up for food and necessities, while Natsuo keeps adjusting the doses because he knows your heat is very painful.

Oh and let's say Alpha Bakugo also exists here and he's your mate or whatever, but does that mean Todoroki Clan will let you date your soulmate? Uh, no. Hell, Dabi and Shotou are lunging at him whenever he tries to get close to you, while Natsuo and Fuyumi drag you back to your nest. And don't even get me started on how feral Katsuki gets when you get your heat. Enji and his sons will be working hard to beat Katsuki away, while Natsuo, Rei and Fuyumi are in a bunker far away with you completely drugged out of your mind. Enji isn't above using his contacts to get the very illegal wolfsbane from the blackmarket, using it against Katsuki.

Then again, Katsuki also comes from a rich, influential family, so they will also play dirty. Hell, Bakugou clan might even hire werewolf hunters to get you back to Katsuki (obviously ordering them not to hurt a hair on your head).

Man, I do miss talking about Aizawa. Either as a solo yandere, or even with Erasermic. Sigh.
