#the whites featured: #uphills that were literally straight up the side of a mountain and downhills that were ice chutes and/or waterfalls. #seven straight miles of rotten snow that took hours and hours to posthole through in the pouring rain #new bruises and scrapes on my hands shins and knees from falling downhill #tore my cutoffs on a tree snag and shredded my rain pants on ice #beautiful alpine tundra! well-signed trail! I listened to almost all of the return of the king audiobook
