- I am not associated with crypton, sega, or the official miku twitter! im just a guy making funny post

- miku lives in a computer. i probably won’t answer anything referring to her doing things in the real world, since saying “I am in a computer what are you talking about” is only funny the first five times

- I use my askbox as a jumping off point for jokes! if I don’t answer your ask it’s not because I didn’t like it, I just probably couldn’t think of anything funny to respond with

- I love receiving art!!!!!!! please send me your miku art!!!!!!! you can even send me a link to your art posted on your own blog and I’ll reblog it so you still get the notes!!!! I LOVE ART!!!!!! (also the ai training toggle has been turned off for this blog so. you’re safe here.)

- there are some things you should speak to a mental health professional about ( ie “i just can’t go on” “my life is terrible” ect) and you should not send these things to hatsune miku. i understand and empathize with you but I cannot help you and it’s very upsetting to receive things like this !

- anything written in parentheses for the most part is an ooc comment from the person running this blog (that’s me!). I don’t like doing this very often though, so if you have a question that can only really be answered ooc then please ask it off anon so I can respond privately!

- please remember I am just one person and sometimes I make mistakes! im a pretty busy person and also disabled so sometimes things slip through the cracks when im low energy. I do my best though so please let me know if you think i’ve made a mistake and i’ll do my best to fix it :]

A: no! I can barely think of funny things to say here do you really think I could manage being funny on two blogs at once. I am friends with the people who run the teto, luka and una blogs so if our posts seem coordinated it’s because I asked them really nicely

Haha Whoops Uh Oh! (UPDATED 6/11/23)

so this isn't the type of post I normally like to make, but! uh! hey! I just got ambushed by a HUGE tuition bill I wasn't expecting, and I'm out of options to pay it - they've already applied my scholarship and loans, I'm already working multiple jobs that are basically just barely paying for rent + groceries, and I only have enough on my credit card to pay for One of the three payments they're requiring, which only gets me through till July (with, again, no options that get me that amount of money by that time).

further full disclosure, this bill came at like, the worst possible time - they've given me four days to make at minimum the first payment (which, again, I can only do by maxing out my credit card), and on top of juggling multiple jobs I'm also in the middle of two classes, including one which involves upcoming travel (that is already paid for, thank god). Hence, me Scrambling a li'l bit!!

as such, I've set a new goal on my ko-fi!! it is, of course, HUGE, but genuinely any small amount people are able to contribute goes a huge way to giving me SOME way to pay it off. note that 3-coffee doodle requests are still A Thing, commissions are still a thing (if you have one active I'll be getting to them this & next week), and I'll be streaming wherever I can to pull together money that way - wherever it comes, any support is HUGE and I mean that.

UPDATE 6/11/23: I am updating the original post to remove the ko-fi link and yet you fine folks know: HOLY HECK, y'all managed to get my tuition dealt with. words truly cannot express my gratitude for that - I'm so, so, SO humbled and thankful for everyone who came out to get me out of a really rough situation.

#Vote to End OTW Racism

A Call To Action

Earlier this week the OTW responded to our previous action and reaffirmed their commitment towards combating and preventing racism within its platforms. 

They also thanked us for working to keep holding them accountable to their goals and we intend to keep doing so. 

To that end, Fandom Against OTW Racism is calling for our Second Action!! This action is centered around the upcoming Board Elections set for August 11-14. We want to encourage everyone who can to participate in the election process and spread the word far and wide about these elections! 

Currently, 4 of the 7 Board positions are up for election, which is a majority. Now is the time to get involved. In light of multiple accounts coming forth about the state of the organization, it is clear that fundamental changes need to happen – and those can only happen with a shift in leadership, from what we currently have to one that is capable of supporting and implementing those much-needed changes.

Please join us in calling upon our fellow fans to vote to make things better for all of us!

How to get involved:

With four Board Seats open, now is the perfect time to act and make this issue a key component of this election to select people who demonstrate a commitment to combating racism in our fannish spaces. So if you can, please plan to vote this election cycle!!

If you already are a member, use your voice and Vote. If you have donated in any of the fundraising drives for AO3 in the last year, you are likely eligible. You can check your eligibility status here by selecting “Is my membership current/Am I eligible to vote?”

If you are not currently a member or eligible, consider donating $10.00 so that you can gain membership in OTW and be able to vote. In order to vote your donation must be received by June 30th. 

When donating you can add ‘End OTW Racism’ to the ‘In Honor Of’ field if you feel comfortable doing so.

If you donate, ensure you select the yes to the ‘Do you want to be an OTW member?’ question

Let Me Count the Ways (aka Chat Noir's List of Ladybug's New Habits)

Chapter One - The Gala

Chat Noir thought it might be a good idea to start keeping a list of all the strange things Ladybug had been doing lately. It might help him to figure out what it all meant. There was the stumbling, the stuttering, the blushing. It had appeared out of nowhere.

No, that wasn't quite right. It had all started when they were dancing at the gala, when she'd been so nervous that she tripped over the perfectly flat marble floor and smashed her face into his chest.

It had been the night of the annual Heroes Day gala, and they were the guests of honor. It was also the fourth time they would be spending the holiday together as a team, and Ladybug couldn't have been more anxious.

Reporters thronged the edges of the hall. The entire room filled to bursting with Paris's elite. Ladybug twisted in his arms, trying to spot anyone staring at them.

"Oh, I think that's Brigitte Bardot dancing with Jean Reno. They're both looking this way. Do you think they're talking about us? I wish the cameramen would turn their flashes off. I hate knowing when they're taking pictures."

Chat Noir just wished she would look at him.

"I think they're admiring the chandeliers actually," he said without so much as glancing over. He squeezed the hand she'd laid so lightly in his, but it wasn't enough to make her turn toward him. "And you have nothing to worry about. You look fine."

It would have been so easy to slip in "stunning" or "as beautiful as you always do," but it had been a long time since he'd last declared his love for her. She hadn't appreciated his attention back then, and she certainly didn't want it now with everyone watching. So with practiced severity, he stuffed those words and feelings back down again.

He no longer told her that he loved her with dramatic declarations. But he could still tell her in all the subtle ways. In how he treated her, the encouragement he gave her, how he held her on special occasions like tonight.

Muffled thunder echoed outside the building. Flickering flashes of lightning mixed with the cameras.

"I hate this," she said. "I hate that I'm still so nervous about these events."

"You don't have a reason to be," he said, not knowing what else to do.

"I know." She finally, finally looked at him, eyes a little wider than normal. "But it doesn't keep me from wondering what if. What if I spill something on myself and there's 500 pictures of it? What if someone asks me something I don't know the answer to and I say something stupid? What if I step on my dress and–"

She stepped forward. Chat Noir felt the exact moment she lost her balance. Her knee hit his shin. Her hand gripped his. And she faceplanted right into his chest.

His battle-honed reflexes were their saving grace. He twisted in a semicircle, dipping her in one fluid motion. The coattails of his suit flapped behind him. To any casual viewer, her misstep wouldn't have been noticeable (he hoped), just a showy dance maneuver.

They paused there, face to face, both holding their breaths, waiting for the reaction, but there were only a few scattered claps at his move. No twittering of gossip or thinly concealed laughter. Both of Ladybug's hands were on his shoulders for balance. Her grip loosened, and he could feel her body relaxing, unwinding, in his arms.

"Thanks, Chaton."

Their noses were almost brushing. All he would have to do was pull her up a little and their lips would be brushing too.

Gently, slowly, already mourning the feeling of holding her, he pulled them both up to standing and stepped back into the music like the whole thing had been planned.

"Of course," he said. After being so close to her, his face hovering over hers, the respectful six inches of minimum distance he'd been forcing himself to keep all night felt like a chasm. "Anything for my partner."

She shot him a grateful smile, cheeks still tinged pink with embarrassment.

They were silent for the next few minutes, while Ladybug matched his steps and kept her eyes trained on the hand she was resting on his shoulder, and the heat slowly left her face. Thunder rumbled. The conversation of two hundred people hummed in the background. Chat Noir focused on keeping his hand light on her waist and his eyes away from her mouth.

"I can't believe I did that," she finally said. "I'm so embarrassed."

He shrugged as the music ended and their feet stilled. "I like watching you mess up." That had come out wrong. "Wait."

Ladybug stuck out her tongue at him, but she didn't move her hands off of him. "You falling on your face is pretty amusing for me too."

"I just meant that I love it when you make mistakes in front of me. That wasn't right either." He glanced up at the ceiling for inspiration. It was easier than watching how her cute nose wrinkled in amusement.

"Cat got your tongue, kitten? You're not very eloquent tonight." The hand on his shoulder slid until she poked a finger into his neck. "Unless you're trying to insult me?"

"It's that–" he struggled to find the words for the feelings that he had. "I want to keep your mistakes to myself?"

She raised an eyebrow but didn't interrupt him again. The orchestra had started the final song of the night, but they stood in the middle of the ballroom unmoving.

"I like seeing your vulnerabilities. And if I'm the only one who sees them, it's like I get to see a super special secret side of you, that I get to keep all to myself. I know you hate getting embarrassed, but…" He wondered if he was overstepping a boundary here. He couldn't tell her that he loved to see her blush, or that her sheepish smile was adorable, or the way she took ownership for her wrongs and was able to correct them with grace were qualities he admired her for. "But I know it's difficult for you, so I'm happy that you feel like you can share it with me. That's all."

Ah, that had probably sounded dumb. Ladybug was staring at him, slack jawed. The longer she stood there, blush growing deeper and deeper, the more he started to fear that it hadn't just sounded dumb but also offensive. Maybe she didn't feel like she could share it with him. Maybe she hated being embarrassed more than he had thought, and she didn't appreciate him calling extra attention to her insecurities.

A loud crash of thunder made them both jump. The lights in the room flickered. Chat Noir turned and looked at the rest of the guests, but most were already returning to their conversations after the brief interruption. When he turned back to Ladybug, she seemed to have regained a little of her composure. Her stare was a little softer, anyway.

"Sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to–" He wasn't even sure how she was taking it. He hated not knowing how to apologize and smooth it over.

"Won't d-dorry. Worry don't," she stuttered.

"You good, Bug?"

"Fess! Fine. Yes. Yes, everything is fine. Swell, even."

"Swell?"

She looked stricken. "Did I just say 'swell'?" Ladybug didn't wait for an answer. Her grip on him tightened. It had been a few minutes since they had stopped dancing, but their hands were still in proper form, and he could feel all ten of her fingers through his glove and the shoulder of his jacket.

Her eyes grew wider, she swallowed hard, and then she whispered a breathless, "Oh." Then she dropped her head onto his open shoulder, her face turned away from him. She pulled their joined hands in more tightly against her body and stepped closer to him, like she was trying to stay warm.

"I'm such a disaster. Why now?"

The question was so quiet that he didn't think it was meant for him, so he didn't answer.

His breath made the loose hairs at the nape of her neck flutter, and he tried to focus on that instead of how perfectly she had lined herself up to him. He counted the freckles dusting her exposed shoulders instead of thinking how easy it would be to slide his arm fully around her waist and pull in closer and hold her more tightly against him. Instead of mapping every point of contact as she leaned against him, he slid his eyes along the column of her neck, memorizing how the light played against it.

Her neck. In the position they were in, it would be easy to lean over and kiss her there. What would her skin taste like? They'd been dancing all night. Would it be warm and salty with sweat? Or would it taste like she smelled, like bread and a hint of her shampoo?

He realized his face was drifting toward her, and he slammed his eyes shut. Heart hammering. Breathing quick. She didn't want him to do that. Especially not in front of about half the reporters in Paris. She doesn't want me.

He swallowed hard, pushing away thoughts of leading her out on the balcony where they could have some privacy. She didn't want him and she was upset and he was being a terrible person.

"Are you sure you're okay?" His voice was rough and low, and he cleared his throat awkwardly, but she didn't seem to notice.

"Fine," she groaned.

She stayed there, clutching him, until the music swelled and faded and the audience clapped. Chat Noir let her slip away when she stepped backward out of his arms.

"Thank you," he said.

"What?" She still looked dazed, her focus on the empty refreshment table.

He motioned around them. "For a fun evening."

She nodded and turned, disappearing out toward the foyer.

Chat Noir was left to wonder what was wrong as he navigated through the dispersing crowd and took the long way home in the rain.

I may be too out-of-touch from the fandom to know what people would consider bad and worst but I do have some that others may have an issue with! AND I WAS JUST ABOUT TO ASK YOU ABOUT HEADCANONS TOO, BUT YOU GOT ME FIRST! AND I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW YOURS VERY MUCH!! (although I haven't watched most of ares and orion so i may not understand some for now, I would love to hear them still!!)

This ended up a long post, I'm making this cut...

I'll start with a tame one (may also be really boring), but this one needs my other hcs for anyone to understand the actual one I want to share. Here's a "brief" list of the others (happened between og series and inago):

Gouenji has unparallel knowledge of ALL Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, and Ghibli movies and will defend the female characters with his life. (This is why I thought he probably knows MLP as I said on the last ask)

He's not a fan of social media and does not use anything outside of inalink and private messaging. Not bcs he's cool, he just doesn't understand them. Much like in honosuto with the laptop, initially with inatube, and him always forgetting his useless phone.

Yuuka convinced him to make an inatter (twitter) and inagram account bcs she does not want anyone to steal the @ and that she also wants to be able to tag him on her posts (and of his teammates/friends) so they can keep the memories. He saves all the pictures he gets tagged in and sometimes prints them out to keep in an album he designed (he's very good w crafts). I still can't believe honosuto came up with those social media names (except for inagram)

He only cared about the bare minimum use of social media so he only ever retweets in inatter (never made his own tweet ever; but he does reply on some that addresses him) and only posts his creations on inagram with no caption or a few words about what he made (made takoyaki, felted a bunny, crocheted a penguin, made cupcakes, etc.).

He only has three kinds of inatter rts: about soccer, about making art, and tweets of his friends and family. Yuuka made his bio in both of them. He also became good at taking pictures of his creations thanks to Yuuka.

However, he is mildly updated with internet language bcs that's all he hears from his sister and her friends and from his own friends in the group chat that he only talks in when he's mentioned. He assimilated most of the phrases they use in chats.

Having said all this, he almost has no social media presence. You're lucky to see his page updated after two weeks. He doesn't reply with strangers either unless it's a kid who loves or interested in soccer.

He also doesn't share much in interviews. Very bare minimum of answering questions and always answers in short sentences and just poses for the camera shortly before he bounces. His favorite answer to questions is "oh that's private" not bcs it's private but bcs he doesn't want to talk that long unless youre asking him about his opinion on human rights-- something that his agent and/or soccer club prevented the press from ever asking him again (an hc drop another time). But anyway, he always had strong opinions and doesnt hold back in expressing them (og series and inago) and that's trouble for the club sponsors so they make a lot of effort on stopping anybody from having the opportunity of asking him anything outside of his personal and athlete life.

And the last context here is that Gouenji is autistic, but we already know that.

Okay so now time for the actual bad HC I want to share... which is how Gouenji came out as bisexual to the public

This started with an inatter thread of a person criticizing Anna (Frozen) for her actions in the first movie that reached Gouenji's timeline. Gouenji answers with 7 tweets worth of respectful paragraph of why Anna shouldn't be criticized bcs of how she was brought up, bcs of her isolation, and bcs of her grief, etc. So, everybody lost their mind, etc etc. AND NOW, at the midst of all this, a soccer fan asked him the question below that he answered without thinking much about:

This blew up and his notifications gets flooded with questions about his sexuality and questionable taste that he really didn't mind answering if it wasn't blowing up his phone.

He was out with everyone in his circle that he forgot the world didn't know he's bi. So, he fixed that by tweeting "yes, im bisexual" on his timeline. He logs out and then decided to wait a few months before logging in again.

This didn't sound as fun as I amped it up to be but I think it's a terribly bland HC that I find kind of funny

The next several minutes tick by in a slow crawl, for this decommission site's newest "visitor" sees no real way to respond to this latest cell in a lifelong succession of cells other than with complete silence. It's been like this for him ever since his decanting day, after all, so it's probably not so out of the ordinary to think that this little fact of life could ever change. Not when the original versions of these Hulls already turned their Deeces upon him, and so drove away any lingering dreams of home. Nevertheless, the Hulls themselves decide to play at being happy, and so force a series of half-hearted smiles onto their faces right after they wheel him inside. Crosshair pays them no mind, though, for he slowly becomes far more focused on the room around him.

Standard, Republic-made medbay; medium size; sleeps two to a room with one other patient here residing. Medbay monitor beginning to flicker repeatedly due to end of shelf life; must alert the nearest available staff. Medbay itself appears to have been cleaned and sanitized recently, though a few faint bloodstains remain visible upon the edge of this blanket, origins unknown-- "...drink?" —What...? Focused enough, even, to very nearly miss the question posed to him by the skull-faced Hull. "I, er...wanted to know if you needed something to drink?" Drinks. Sure. THEY had officially stopped giving him drinks, never mind also food and medicine, as soon as he'd woken up on that operating table. In fact, since it was nothing less than kriffing stupid to even ask him such a thing, if only for the idea that nobody else would have bothered to feed him at this point...he had zero second thoughts about ignoring it. "Okay...that's a no. Got it." In response, the ashen Hull walks past the other three Hulls to a small compartment in the wall, inside of which he finds an extra regulation blanket. He easily picks this up with one hand before returning to Crosshair's bedside, the steady whirr-thump of his footsteps sounding upon the oar. "How about this, then?" Cross is instantly drawn back into his own memories without a sound, back to a nameless, darkened room where nothing but sound and faint pinholes of light can be found. It's here that someone covers his face with one of these blankets, almost like they're allowing him the first real moment of rest he's had in what feels like months--but then, their next surprise comes. Water. Not a slow, steady dripping from a faucet in any corner, but a quick wet plume of it right upon his covered face. Direct. Harsh. Enough to seep through the fabric, into his eyes, down his nose and throat, gagging him-- —Where is the female clone?-- —Making him struggle to breathe, forcing him backwards against the headboard as he gasped for air-- "—All right, all right, I'm sorry! Hell of a time to ask!" "—Corporal, I do not believe that this method is effective--" "—Then fine, let's skip the effectiveness and get that other med droid in here--" "—AW, JUST MOVE IT!" ...And then, the tallest of the Hulls suddenly pushes his way past the others, almost knocking the Skull-face right off his feet as he goes off to grab something upon the floor before anybody else can stop him. "Here, Crossy. Think y' just dropped this." Indeed, before anyone else even has the wherewithal to respond... there's something soft--and yet sturdy--placed behind him in order to keep from banging his own head against the wall. "Wrecker, what are you--" "—HELPING." And out of all these Hulls and their stand-offish approach, it's this one who first reacted to his low state, who actually had the nerve to stop muttering and do something about it--but why...?! "Somethin' you all forgot how to do...but never mind." He doesn't get a lot of time to think this through, because before he knows it, this tallest Hull of the batch is pushing his way through the others, a growing scowl evident upon his face as he goes. " 'M going to go find Fireball. Don't comm me until 'Meg gets back." ... Ooh. Ooh. In spite of the way that neither he nor these others ever saw that one coming, however, Crosshair himself begins to find this experience a bit more interesting than the meaningless chatter of the other three. Within the span of five minutes, this one seemed eager to do more than just stand around, whereas the rest of this group didn't do much else besides ask questions and look terribly lost. In fact... against his usual cold attitude and somewhat better judgment, a faint but curious thought has already crept into his head, if not also come along in search of a true answer. Just who was that mystery Trooper...?!

Is shipping permitted in this zine?

All poems in this zine are expected to be inspired by and drawn from canon. If you are creating about characters who are canonically in a relationship and/or romantically involved, yes, you may draw from those elements for your piece. But it must be kept to the level of canon portrayal. If you’re unsure whether your concept meets these requirements, run it by a mod to be safe.

What about NSFW/erotic poetry?

We want this zine to be open to contributors ages 16+. Due to this, absolutely no NSFW content is permitted in this zine.

Is there a theme to this zine beyond MCYT?

Nope! So long as your piece is inspired by canon MCYT, it meets the theme.

What forms of poetry are allowed? Are you looking for any in particular?

We want to see a variety of poetry forms represented in this zine! We will likely have a page limit per poem, as well as a few style guides regarding the content represented in the poem, but we would love to see all forms of poetry. In particular, we value creativity and uniqueness in your style!

How will you be choosing poets?

We will have two different methods of accepting poets. First, we will be inviting a hand-picked selection of poets. These will likely be well-established creators within their fandoms, due to the nature of guest creators in zines.

After this, we will have open applications. When our application process opens, any poet interested will be able to submit a minimum of three poems to showcase their style and skill. All poets will be selected on the basis of quality, not popularity. Whether you have a thousand followers or have never posted a poem before, your application will be considered equally.

What kinds of illustrations will you be looking for?

There will be two kinds of illustration in this zine. We will be looking for atmospheric illustrations to accompany individual poems, intended to emphasize specific symbolism and imagery within the poem. We would love to see any sort of stylized, unique, or experimental art styles for these illustrations!

Additionally, we will also be looking for full illustrations unrelated to individual poems. For this, we would want to see full-color art that aligns with a more traditional expectation for zine illustrations.

If this zine is monetized, are there going to be copyright issues?

First of all, if this zine is monetized, 100% of proceeds would go to charity. This would still be a not-for-profit zine. However, we have not yet solidified whether this zine will be monetized. We are gauging interest in the project first before diving further into that aspect so that if there is not enough interest in a physical copy, we won’t have wasted time setting that up.

With that in mind, other fanzines have had precedence for being funded without issue. Since it is a legal concern, we are taking care to make it explicitly for-charity in the event that it is monetized. Our financing mod, Ash, is looking into the legality of everything involved, and discussing the best options of how to move ahead in that circumstance.

Can you explain what you mean about Louis team not trying anymore? Do you mean in terms of promo of him/his tour?

Louis is on a break at the moment so not sure what we’re expecting his team to be doing? I’ve got to say I’m not that keen on them either. I mean I like his band members but the management crew do seem lazy and disinterested. Not sure if it bothers L or not. He’s so laid back it’s hard to tell!

Heya anon! Thanks for the inbox, and welcome to the show.

Look… yes, he’s on a break. That’s fine, and while Harry and zayn are currently getting press, there could be concern for over-saturation in the market due to the overlap of fans, and therefore could even be Agreements between H/L/Z’s managers to space out the promo a bit so fans can absorb one thing at a time. Niall’s on tour with consistent promo social media posts (not too many headlines though), so he’s not to worry, and Liam isn’t getting really any press, even though he is being more active with fans. However…

Just because Louis is on break, that doesn’t mean his team needs to be. They should be gearing up with promo for the LATAM tour that starts in 2 weeks. They’ve always been lazy with trying to reach GP and having substantial press/working with interviewers or industry professionals that will connect him to a larger demographic, and have relied on a very dedicated fanbase as their main source of income/Louis’ success. The problem with that, is by forming such a special connection between Louis and the fans, he (his team) need to be creating content and delivering to the fans so it doesn’t feel so one sided. It frustrates me to no end because even though they are doing well with the relationship between louis and fans, sometimes they don’t even know that demographic as well as they think they do.

Louis 100% deserves a break. I don’t expect him to be posting every day or doing livestreams or twitter chats, but his team need to at least be posting on Insta/twitter once or twice a week for him. Theyve been really MIA a little too long in my opinion, and the whole point of this promo is to sell tickets to the upcoming LATAM tour. It is crucial promo time, ya know?

So anyway, again this is just in my opinion and experience and analysing the marketing strategies/timelines of Louis’ past tours/album drops etc., they just aren’t delivering that promo, and haven’t actively tried to reach a larger demographic with the GP like… ever. Could he have done a couple of pre recorded interviews while he wasn’t MIA to drop over this time? He should have. Maybe a few pre written press articles about his tour ready to drop on a specific date? Hopefully. There should be content available to post whenever necessary. And hell, I’m sure there will be some level of promo before the tour, but leaving it til last minute doesn’t really do him any favours.

His team come off as lazy and often rely on us to do the work for him, which like… fine, fans literally keep an artist’s career alive so there is obviously a level of fans promoting said artist, but it feels like it’s a lot of us giving and hanging around and a lot of them taking and too much reliance on just his already established fans selling out shows, not new fans who could grow his numbers substantially.

Again, I’m 100% not advocating for him to not have a break, I’m saying his team are barely doing the bare minimum at the moment, and it’s not doing him and his tour any favours. I’m not saying Louis is lazy, and I’m not saying that he doesn’t care, this is strictly to do with his team and their strategies.

And yes, he does come across as very laid back and yes, he loves what he does and works hard. But I feel there may be a level of complacency with his team right now. Like “oh well, you’re not ever gonna be as big as Harry, so we won’t even bother with this strategy even if it worked for him” kinda thing. But, for the hell of it, let’s say that Louis doesn’t really wanna do more promo. He’s happy at the level he’s at, doing just enough of what his team wants him to do, and he doesn’t want to strive to be any more successful. He knows he’s at a good place, so why bother? But… Matt Vines needs to make money. He’d be on a commission rate of an industry standard around 20%, but might be more depending on their Agreement. It wouldn’t be any less. So… if Louis isn’t making more money, Matt isn’t making more money (he would be making a certain amount with the other artists he manages, but overall Louis would be making the most out of that roster, his commission on smaller bands may lead closer to 15% standard). Obviously money is still coming in to them, but you get me. So, even if Louis is chilling and happy, it’s weird to see such a little amount of promo leading up to a very exciting and hopefully successful tour in LATAM.

You can read in this interview from 2022 with Matt, about his ideas on management. Notably, the below about previous data from 1d and their activations and campaigns and I haven’t really seen too many elements of that in his current promo (obv gonna be at a different scale because 1d was one of the biggest bands in the world for a hot minute there, but there’s been little to no elements of these strategies in his current promo season):

So i truly haven’t seen much of those marketing techniques employed within his promo these days. And here, he talks about the relationship he has with his artists and why his company stands out from others:

Which, yes, I agree that a manager-artist relationship should be different from what it’s traditionally known. And I can see that they do have a different relationship, with the lack of stunting and louis taking the reins a lot more. We see more authenticity, and less show, which is great. Louis is serious and has actively worked to understand the business and how different streams and parts of the industry work.

But his team aren’t working to grow the fanbase. Matt Vines has been in this industry long enough to understand marketing and promo and demographics more so than Louis, but it feels like he’s not even helping him grow bigger. Idk, it feels disappointing that for a hot minute he was on a roll and gaining a lot of traction and it seems to have stagnated a little bit and his reach has only gone so far, where it should be further out to the GP too.

Anyway, look, again this is just my opinion. I’m incredibly proud of him and his team have done a lot for him, but they can always do more. And yet, they haven’t. I don’t want to see Louis exhausted and a wreck from touring like the 1d days, but promo comes in so many different forms and it’s not just about stunting and clothing lines and social media. There’s more his team could do for him, without him working 100% of the time.

hey, guys! i know i haven't been here for a while, but after some careful consideration and talks with few of my friends, i decided to move this blog and make it extremely private + friends only. i'll be brutally honest - i've grown extremely burnt out and unmotivated just by logging on both my blogs and i think it's because of how many people i follow which then only overwhelms me, plus the constant anxiety of whether i'm good enough or not or how "inactive" i am. i'm not trying to say it's anyone's fault, that's absolutely not what i'm getting at here - just that i came at that point in my life where i want to keep it lowkey and write with those i've come to be very close with. i've said this on my rules and i'll say it again - roleplaying is meant to be a hobby which we can come to when real life stuff isn't preoccupying us. it's meant to be fun, not a forced habit. be it on tumblr, discord, twitter or any other platform, we shouldn't need to feel the pressure to keep up the tempo or worry whether those who follow us will be angry for "taking so long". i don't wanna think about the "big numbers" or whether my blog looks pretty to someone or not anymore (not trying to bash on anyone making amazing graphics, just that it tends to gravitate to that over connecting with people and making memorable stuff with each other). of course, i feel really bad for never replying to those who wrote me starters or even sent me asks - i cannot stress it enough how sorry i am for never writing them at all - but i realized that i need to priorities myself, first and foremost, and keep it at minimum. i'm turning 25 next month - i'm not a teenager anymore. i, like everyone else, have responsibilities i need to prioritize, which is another reason why i'm doing this. honestly, if i don't do this, i might just quit writing altogether and i don't wanna do that, not by a long shot. i still adore writing my silly little muses and don't want to lose that spark which is still inside me. that being said, i'm going to close this blog and will only follow my friends on a new one, which has already been made in advance. the same will go for my fandomless oc blog, if you'd like, i can give you my discord privately, too. i don't know when will i open that blog to new folks, possibly in the future when my groove is back on again, but until then, i just wanna say thank you so, so much for sticking around, am once again extremely sorry to those who sent me asks or wrote me starters which i never replied to and please, do remember to just have fun, let loose when it comes to roleplaying and look after yourselves and your happiness. sincerely, pluto.

You are more than welcome to create whatever content you’d like in your personal time, but the ‘not allowed’ list’s purpose is to appeal to a wide audience and our mod’s personal comfort. If you’d like to host your own event with no restrictions at all, we encourage you to do so! However, we will be sticking to our rules for this event.

Is early/late posting allowed?

The event date is to be determined after the results of the interest check. We will continue our ‘sneak peek’ day from last year on June 9th, but no other early posting will be reblogged here until the start of the event.

One question in our first interest check was about early progress checks. Typically week events don’t have them, but this sounded like a fun option to get people excited during the creation period! Again, this is 100% optional and if you share a sneak peek, you are not obligated to finish/post the work for the event itself. This is just for fun!

Are dark fics/unhappy endings/tragedy allowed?

Yes! As long as the fic is focused on hashimada and the rest of our rules are followed, feel free to interpret any prompt in the most angsty, heart-wrenching way possible!

Can I reuse old works for this event?

No, sorry! Only new content, please! If there’s another week happening at the same time, cross-posting is allowed as long as our rules are met and hashimada is the focus of the work!

Is there a minimum word count for fics/completion status for fanart?

Nope! Make the fics as long or as short as you want and everything from sketches to full-color artwork will be accepted as long as it’s hashimada themed and follows the rest of the rules.

Can I complete only one prompt or do I need to complete all?

You can do one prompt or all or anything in-between! Do as much or as little as you’d like!

I’m not a native English speaker, so, can I post stuff in Spanish? Thank you! / Are fanfics only allowed in English? / Can I participate if I speak, read and write in Spanish?

We accept works in all languages as long as they are properly tagged and follow our rules!

Are platonic works okay, or does the ship have to be romantic specifically?

This is a ship week event so we are expecting most works will be romantic in nature, but platonic relationships are allowed too!

There will be three prompts per day (because we couldn’t decide between a few, lol!) In an attempt to make the prompts as broad as possible we don’t have “G” or “M” ratings, but each individual creator is allowed to interpret them however they’d like.

DEITIES Update -- October 2022

Hi All! Time for a kinda-spontaneous-but-not-really Project Update, along with the current events of this month -- which is a DEITIES themed OC_Tober + and upcoming Askbox Session!

I understand if this all kinda came out of nowhere, so I'll use this short update to share my plans and any additional context, and I hope it's something to look forward to! More information is under the cut!

OC_TOBER 2022 PLANS PART 1 of 2 -- DEITIES CAST LINEUP & PROFILES

The gist of my OC_Tober plan this month will be sharing separate profiles and featured art each weekday in a thematic order for the DEITIES Project -- 5 per week, 20 total. These will likely debut on my art twitter first, and then be mirrored on tumblr later the same day.

This is my minimum goal, but I'll gauge my free time if I have the bandwidth to do some extra things for fun -- like any additional new art, meme templates, blog posts on the website, or other nostalgia trips.

OC_TOBER 2022 PLANS PART 2 of 2 -- MONTH-LONG ASKBOX SESSION (Upcoming!!)

In addition to the character profiles, I'll also reopen my tumblr Askbox to answer as many project questions as I can -- albeit gradually, likely to share on the weekends. It'll also help me gauge how much volume I can manage, and whether it something I can keep open or at least re-open more regularly.

As of now the Askbox is still closed -- I was aiming to open it by the start of the month, but needed to put all my energy into completing the lineup before the end of September 😂 Please give me at least another day to rest and prepare before I reopen it, I promise I'll give you all another heads up once it's ready.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

I've established in the site's Introduction page how development for DEITIES Project is still ongoing. But I've been having to balance it next to other tasks that require my attention, hence why it's felt a bit slow on tumblr and elsewhere.

Fortunately, some good friends convinced me to participate in this year's Artfight this past summer. Drawing each other's OCs renewed my creative energy, and I enjoyed the encouragement from my peers + the sheer enthusiasm for each others' OCs, it was a great experience with everyone!

From there, I felt re-energized to revisit DEITIES Project and see what next steps and WIPs I could tackle, and I could see that it sorely needed a full lineup sheet for some time. This was especially given how some characters were lacking clear visual references, or had some that were heavily outdated! 

This years OC_tober felt like a good opportunity to address this massive to-do, and to re-introduce some of the cast along the way. I had to wait until it was basically finished before I could give you all the heads up, but hopefully it's something to look forward to this month!

Hello everyone, we have some bad news to share with you, which could lead to production delays, or even temporary or permanent closure of the game.

Those of you who have been with us for years will know that we went through a similar situation some time ago. Our current translator, to whom we are extremely grateful for her amazing work, is forced to leave the project.

Although our savings are better than last time, we cannot guarantee that we can afford a professional translation for the remaining 13 or so episodes of the project. As a first option and as we did last time, we are opening a call for all of you who are interested in helping us to translate the game from Spanish to English >link call<; . This is an unpaid position, but we'll do our best to adapt to your way of working. Of course, it isn't a permanent commitment until the game is finished, only as far as you can or want. As we said before, no one in the team makes money with this project, all the money we've been earning has been invested in steam and other platforms, as well as expenses derived from the production or, simply, we've saved it for emergency situations. This emergency fund is completely insufficient to finish CHR, but at least to guarantee the release of the next episode, which will also be the end of the second arc.

If you can't or don't feel qualified for such a position, you can also try to help us by donating to >paypal<; , >itch< , turning them into >patreons< , or simply sharing this post with whoever you think could help us. We don't want this to sound like an obligation to anyone, but we also don't want to lie to you and pretend that the situation is not serious. If the applications do not pass the minimum quality cut, we'll try to look for alternative forms of funding (gofound, kikstarter or other projects like WT). Aunque nuestros ahorros están mejor que la última vez, no podemos garantizar que podamos pagar una traducción profesional para lo que queda de proyecto que son, aproximadamente, 13 episodios.

Como primera opción y tal y como hicimos la anterior vez, abrimos convocatoria para todos aquellos que estéis interesados en ayudarnos a traducir el juego de español a inglés >link de la convocatoria<. Este puesto no es remunerado, pero haremos todo lo posible para adaptarnos a vuestra forma de trabajo. Por supuesto, no es un compromiso permanente hasta terminar el juego, tan solo hasta donde vosotros podáis o queráis. But maybe a PSA to everyone… just give credit dude. it's not that hard. I’ve never minded people using my gifs for things as long as I’m credited. even just reply tweet under the main one if it ~ruins the aesthetic~ or something to include my goofy username. It’s bare minimum we’re asking here. A lot of work goes into making those gifs that you’re casually ripping off someone’s blog.

Twitter keeps turning into a worse nightmare by the day so I should probably figure out how to use this site regularly again, and I figured what could possibly be better than sharing the VM plot synopsis I’ve been thinking of now that we’ve seen Syngorn and the Fae Realm in the show, spoilers for TLOVM s2!

Nova has an acquaintance with Zahra and Kashaw (Zahra if nothing else, and a definite crush on that front, slightly reciprocated but it’s more just Zahra and Nova truly care about each other and also they’re both hot so like. It happens lol) before encountering Vox Machina because I want them to be able to be friends and if Vax and Vex introduce them it would just be a disaster considering their dynamic in the show fhielsfhes but that’s fine, Nova can help them all come to terms with things and make nice ^_^ 

She accompanies VM to Vasselheim following the dragon attack and decides to stay back in the city while the rest of them go off to handle the Sunken Tomb. While staying back in Vasselheim she takes it upon herself to perhaps consult Osysa further (being a mildly divine fae creature means Nova can make friends with the strangest of creatures and she’s probably been friends with some of them as long as they’ve existed, since she was around before the Divergence) as well as look into what the temple of the Moonweaver there can do for or offer her/the party. Even just sharing resources around can go a long way, but she also stops by to talk to her Mom in a more intimate setting and perhaps even connect with her in a way she’s only able to achieve when she has the relevant magical influence at her disposal.

When Zahra and Kashaw return from their harrowing tomb visit they fill Nova in but only on the bare minimum. I’m on the fence about whether or not they immediately inform her of the truth regarding what happened with Vex, but I also don’t see any significant reason for why they would keep it from her, so I suppose they do lol. Nova thanks them profusely and I think she enlists Zahra’s sorcerer help in figuring out where they went from the tomb.

She doesn’t manage to reconnect with them until they get to the Fae Realm, and even that circumstance is much less straightforward than any of them would have liked lol. Once she establishes that they’re in that dimension (or at least Vax is, sorry but she just wanted to make sure she ended up wherever he’s at specifically and if he was separated from the others she would have just gone to him solo instead fhesilfheslf) she enters the Fae Realm of her own accord and once she’s finally back in the plane of magic where she was raised, her powers and demeanor and everything just get stronger and more comfortable, this is a Realm where she truly feels she belongs with no qualms or difficulties.

She encounters Garmelie before any of her own party members and her inexplicable run in with him ends up leading to their reunion. I’m not sure if she knows he’s Artagan but I think it would be neat if she and Artagan also had an acquaintance as a result of her living in the Fae Realm and wandering in and out of it for so long. Regardless of whether she’s aware of his true identity or not I’m thinking maybe by the time she runs into him he already ran into VM and so she kind of runs into all of them together more or less, but Nova’s also more comfortable with fae creatures as a rule and she expected Garmelie to help her anyway lmao. Not because he’s good for it but because she’s used to dealing with fae and before she realizes her party members are there she could have made quite the deal with him with her true power; it’s a deal he would have agreed to, not a suggestion lmao.

She doesn’t need to resort to such measures if she happens to reunite with them a bit more directly, but things crash and burn immediately anyway because the moment she lays her eyes on Vax, like. Obviously she knows lol. She knows better than any of them, she was alive before the Vestiges even existed, part of the only reason she can exist in this world is because she was alive before the Divergence, before the presence of the gods’ was barred from Exandria’s Material Plane for good. And she knows the Matron’s touch, because although it isn’t the same as Shar’s, it’s much too similar for Nova’s liking, almost too much for her to physically bear, but of course it doesn’t matter what it is she’d bear anything for Vax.

I think I’d like for she and Vax and the others to get separated from each other at some point before they make it to Syngorn, or they have some kind of private meeting at night, the bottom line is Nova is going to talk to him about how he’s feeling and she’s going to care about him and she’s going to get to the bottom of all this because she will not live with him suffering with the mantle of the goddess of death suffocating him, drowning him in darkness rather than filling him with light. Nova may not be able to offer the Everlight’s blazing blessing, but the Moonweaver’s modest glow should be more than sufficient to heal his wounds and tend his heart with its dazzling radiance. Also her being with him in the Fae Realm is just OH NO IT JUST HIT ME...if they end up alone together everything’s just going to remind them of the dream life experience they had because they lived at their house in the Fae Realm, even if it was closer to the Gates of the Moon or whatever I can’t believe I forgot how much this situation would remind them of that lol even more awkward, even more tension, I’m so here for it. But like Nova being around Vax makes everything better because her presence keeps the harshness of the Fae Realm at bay that wants to get at him for his death armor, and also he loves her and just being with her makes things better but they aren’t going to be Explicit about that ofc they’re too dumb fhsilfjeslifs

And she’s gonna give Syldor what for after everyone else walks away from that whole debacle in the city because after Vax called him a prick and got in his face and he still had the nerve to be a bastard to him, that’s not just disrespecting Vax but the Champion of the Raven Queen who’s stuck wearing her cursed armor and always putting himself out there for everyone he cares about...Nova’s not having any of it lol and she does reveal her divinity, and within the Elven Pantheon no less, and makes it clear that she intends to take Vax for her own come hell or high water...but she will never share any of that prestige or goodwill with the bastard that ruined Vax’s life and is a significant part of the reason he has such a low opinion of himself. 

Vax is who he is by his own merit alone, and if Nova ever does talk up any members of his family she keeps it reserved for his mother and his sisters, and she wants to make sure Syldor feels the sting of that pain and rejection from a divine daughter of the Moonweaver herself.

And also maybe they all stay in Syngorn a week or something longer than what they did in the show so I can have some more shenanigans, I’d have to devise an excuse but I’m sure that wouldn’t be too much of a problem fhesilfhjse and I absolutely want Velora to mistake Vax and Nova for being married and she refers to them that way the first time they speak and these two just...it’s an event fhielshfes AND I’M SO HERE FOR IT
