Seungwoo didn't care either way about keeping his relationship private. Instead of overt romanticism, he favored interactions that built the bond organically on a foundation of friendship. So his first date would be something fun with no pressure, pastries and conversation or mini-golf and ice cream, to which they would both develop their own repertoire and inside jokes. After the success of the first date, Seungwoo would express his affection through small actions instead of grand gestures that would be the only indication he was secretly dating, single flowers without reason, handwritten letters, random texts, and always bringing them their own Americano.

SEUNGSIK

A private date is fine for Seungsik. He would rather the intimacy of just the two of them, the romanticism of a slow dance and delicious food on a candle lit table is enticing... but not being able to public praise his newly minted SO or dote on them openly with too many pictures or share just how nervous he is to be dating with his fans to ask for encouraging words is leaving him in a bit of a pickle. He wouldn't be able to help, but hint at a secret event going on in his life causing a frenzy about a possible comeback or solo schedule. A few would theorize that maybe he was talking about being in a relationship.

HEOCHAN

Heochan loved being on his date, openly flirting with his person of interest to the point they had to shyly tell him to stop in case anyone noticed. He would fake shock like someone saw them and laugh at his date's panic, loving the way they impishly slapped him on the shoulder both in a fit of giggles. The mischievous playfulness made their date thrilling and so much more fun despite the fact that neither of them actually wanted people to find out they were dating. Chan would rather keep it private until they were more serious about the commitment. They both could have some fun while they decided though.

SEJUN

The alien-esque introvert is nervous to go on his first date with someone he met at the gym. But how is he suppose to act normal as he walks with his SO through the park when he's easily skittish and jumpy with every person that might look at them and recognize who he is. Ordering in would probably have calmed his nerves and allowed him to focus his cute energy on his date. His anxiousness is actually endearing to his SO as they walk beside him trying not to laugh. They try to calm him with having him teach them about photography taking pictures of the luscious scenery around them.

HANSE

Hanse is already incognito and ready to go someplace chill and dark. He'd been crushing hard on the new audio engineer and shoot his shot when they offered to take him out for beer and karaoke. To anyone looking it appeared to be two close friends on a night out with familiar banter and easy laughter, but the casual touching, the hand holding on the walk home, and the sweet good night kiss would have indicated something more if anyone was watching too closely. They would be really good at no one knowing that they were dating, it coming as a shock when they were finally ready to announce that they've been together for like a year.

BYUNGCHAN

The eager puppy that he is is just excited to have a date despite that it has to be on the hush. No one is aware of his crush on this person. No one knows he also asked them on a private picnic where he "attempted" to make all the their favorite dishes, dishes he casually picked up through late night text messages. He's hoping to impress them with his display of attentiveness to their conversations. He'll feeds them bites of everything while asking how is it after every new dish. He would use the chilly fall breeze as an excuse to get closer by sharing a blanket.

SUBIN

Subin is glad not to have the attention of others on his date, wanting to get to know his partner more than the small talk they were able to have between scenes on set. Subin would be much like Seungwoo where he would be more concerned with building a friendship than the thrill of dating in secret. He just wanted the companionship so dating would be more on the fly than planned out. Maybe he would call them up to go "shopping" with them when he really planned on buying them nice things under the guise of them helping him pick out a new outfit for an event. And just maybe there was a new food cart he wanted to try out when really he just wanted to feed them.

after various tries, you decide to give up

you cannot waste your time when he clearly isn’t that interested in you

so you distance yourself and spend more time with Subin

he is way calmer and more relaxed than your best friend

Byungchan notices how you start watching YouTube videos with Subin instead of him

Seungwoo smirked when he heard Chan stutter a quick goodbye to someone before closing the front door. Chan walked to the couch in a daze and Seungwoo didn't need to look at him to know that the boy had a dopey, lovestruck grin plastered on his face. The rest of the boys shared a look of confusion as Chan flopped on the couch on his back, stealing a pillow from Hanse's lap to scream into while excitedly kicking his legs in the air.

"What's up with him?" Sejun asked, raising a brow as the boy calmed down with the same smile on his face. Seungwoo chuckled before looking up from his phone.

"I introduced him to a friend of mine a few days ago. From the looks of it they've been getting along pretty well." Sejun nodded with a small laugh, the smirk on Seungwoo's face telling him everything. Chan let out an over exaggerated sigh of happiness as he sat up.

"She's absolutely perfect in every way. We went out to the arcade down the street after lunch and she won me this." The lovestruck boy said with a dopey grin as he held up a small dog plushy before hugging it tightly to his chest. The boys only laughed as he went on a ten minute rant about how perfect you were, from how your laugh was probably the most beautiful sound to bless this earth, to the way your eyes sparkled whenever you saw a cute animal walking by that you would stop to stare at.

"Soooo, this was like a date or something?" Subin asked from the floor as he finally finished the round of Mario Kart he had been playing with Byungchan. Chan's face lit up a fiery red as he began stuttering and stumbling over his words.

"W-what? N-No, I-It's not- she wouldn't even- w-we're - uhm- w-we're just friends." He managed to sputter out, making everyone in the room laugh. He pouted, looking down at his phone after feeling a vibration in his pocket. A smile lit up his face still dusted with pink as he saw a text from you.

'Finally made it home lol'

'Just wanted to know if you would

maybe wanna do that again sometime?'

The flustered boy jumped from his seat, jumping in place a few times as a tiny squeal left his mouth. Everyone laughed again at his very obvious infatuation with you. Chan quickly texted back that he would love to and flopped back on the couch with a smile on his face and a hand over his rapidly beating heart.

"Man, she's got you whipped." Seungsik said with a small laugh as he sat next to Subin to play a quick round. He laughed as Chan threw the pillow under him at the elder's head. Seungwoo just shook his head with a smile as he looked down at the plethora of texts you were sending him about how absolutely adorable his friend was. Why did his friends have to be so damn oblivious?

NOTE : I tried my best with the letters, i hope they have a slight old-ish vibe to them but please know they are set in the modern world so..

"So you're telling me not only did you got permission to go to that library whenever you want to, you also stumbled upon a couple of letters signed by someone as K.S. and you left a reply too?" Junhee asked Yoona while they were walking to their Part-time job.

"In a nutshell, yes." She said, nodding.

"What did you sign your letter as?"

"K.Y."

"And why are you telling this to me and not to Kana so that she can help you find him?" He asked again and she shrugged.

"I kind of don't want to find out who he is yet." She said and he just stared at her. Following behind her, he entered the cafe he worked at and waved at the owner.

"Sir, this is my friend I told you about. She wanted to work here." He said and she bowed to the owner.

"Aah Kim Yoona-ssi! I have heard a lot about you from Junhee. I'm Im Sejun, and if you have any questions, you can either ask him or me." He said and she blinked at him.

"That's it? I'm hired?" She asked and the owner chuckled.

"I have known Junhee too well so I'm going to trust him with you. So yes you are hired!".

When Sejun left Junhee elbowed Yoona slightly, "Don't you dare fall for the owner. He's only a couple years older than us but I swear to god if you date him, I'll kill you." And Yoona just raised her hands up in surrender.

Seungwoo and Seungsik entered Sejun's cafe and took their regular seat. When Yoona went to take their order, she gasped which made both of them look up at her.

"Professor Han!" She said and he smiled at her.

"What are you doing here?" She asked and Seungwoo chuckled.

"Have coffee preferably. But this cafe is our friend's so we come by frequently. Since when do you work here?"

"Oh, today is my first day. And Sejun-ssi is not in right now. He left for some personal work."she said and Seungwoo nodded and Seungsik asked him who she was.

"Aah. Seungsik-ah, she's the political student I gave that pass too." And Seungsik nodded.

"So you're the student who left his room smiling. Doesn't happen much, ask someone in our department." He said and she giggled and left after taking their order.

A while later she came back with their coffees but with cakes too and Seungwoo said they didn't order them and she nodded.

"It's from me sir. A thank you from me."

When Seungwoo insisted on paying, she strongly refused and at the end he resigned.

"Never knew a library permission would get me cake." He mumbled and she laughed.

"Why didn't you enroll in the literature department only?" Seungsik asked her and they saw how her face fell for a second before she smiled at them.

"No reason."

They both nodded in understanding. Must be some reason she didn't want to share with people she didn't know. They respected that.

"Yoona, let's go! Our shift is done. The other part timers are here!" They saw a male Calling for her and she nodded and after bowing to them, left.

But Seungsik froze.

"Yoona?" He mumbled and Seungwoo looked up at him.

"Hyung, what is her name? Do you know that?" He asked hurriedly and a wide eyed Seungwoo said, "uhh Kim Yoona I think. Why?"

'not even from this department'

'From, K.Y.'

"Kim Yoona. It's her. She found and replied to my letters."

Dear K.Y.,

I hope we don't have to address each other as strangers now and you will call me K.S. for the time being.

As per your ardent (a word I fell for when I fell for the greatest masterpiece by Jane Austen) request, here I am writing to assure you that I will gladly write back to you. For you. To make you happy.

And I might just allow you to seek the romanticism these imply. But do keep in mind things take time and when it involves paper and ink, too long. I hope you'll wait.

You mentioned you're not from this department? Then how did you gain access?

And when you love literature so much, why aren't you in this department? This department lost a great literature lover who might have found my letters seven months back only. Who knows what would have happened then.

Can I be bold and say I want to know you personally now? Pen pals you said? How about we reveal things everyone knows for starters and then reach the point of things which no one knows and swear to take each other's secrets to grave?

I won't ask much but your age and if I ever come to this library, a thing that'll separate you from the others and just sway me towards you.

She sighed again as she read the Letter and she won't lie to anyone, that letter made her heart flutter. And who's won't? The way he writes these letters made her want to fall in love with him but again, what did she even know about him?

So she took out a stack of papers and envelopes from her bag which she bought just yesterday just in case he would respond so soon.

It has been barely 24 hours but here she was, writing a response to a man who makes her heart skip a beat and she doesn't even know him. She wasn't expecting to find a letter just the next day but her heart was hoping and she bulk purchased stationary after her part time yesterday with a Junhee judging her constantly.

Half an hour later, she got a message from Junhee and left the library to see him standing outside waiting for her to walk home.

Seungwoo and Seungsik were coming from a meeting in another department building when Seungwoo nodded at the leaving figure of Yoona and Junhee.

"Isn't he the guy that was yesterday with her too?" He said and Seungsik nodded.

"She must have left a letter for you. Let's go. And ask her if she's dating someone in the next one." Seungwoo said and Seungsik rolled his eyes at him.

"I can't just ask her that hyung."

Seungwoo looked sideways and Seungsik followed and narrowed his eyes at the scene in front of them - Junhee was pulling Yoona close to him and had his arms around her shoulders while she was laughing at something.

"Don't get too attached too soon Seungsik-ah." Seungwoo said as he patted him on the shoulder.

Dear K.S.,

I think this is the first time I'm hearing a man say something good for Jane Austen and you already have my heart. And I have to say, it makes me very happy that you'll write to me.

Makes me feel special.

I was surprised to find a response from you so soon. Dare I say, were you hoping for one? And checking for one daily?

You know that boy is friendly as hell

so outgoing

you guys were friends

Uh your ex best friend dated him

You two seemed to click once you met

and his ex

tried to keep you two away

but he wanted to set you up with his friend

so you two were caught talking one day outside a café

and they went off

long story short

they tried to fight with you

you were confused as to why

they grabbed the iced coffee of the person at the table near yours

and poured the drink all over you

you started laughing at the insults they would say to each other

once you got to your building you said bye to both of them

they each gave you a hug and waited for you to go inside

later that night you got a call from Byungchan

Seungwoo

Seungwoo wouldn’t protest your outfit choice because he loved your style. But he would make sure to give you so many compliments as well as keep his hands on you at all times. “Baby girl, I love this dress on you but I can’t wait to see what you have under it?” He would say as he places his hand on your lower back and placed a kiss on your neck.

Seungsik

Seungsik is such a shy baby but when he saw your short red dress he wasn’t having it. Mostly because he wanted to be the only one to see you in this dress. He would be very open about it and he would even take out other clothes for you to wear. “Baby I love that dress on you but do you really have to wear it out.” He would say one last time until you told him he could rip it off at the end of the night.

Chan

Chan loved everything you wore but he had his limits and when he saw the little black dress he wasn’t having it. “Baby girl where do you think you’re going in that dress?” He would ask as he made his way over to your frame. “This dress is only meant for my eyes.” He would say as he slowly began to caress your body. You couldn’t argue with him mostly because you liked to tease him.

Sejun

Sejun is such an adorable baby but he has a short temper especially when he doesn’t like something. So when he saw you picking out an outfit for the night he was very vocal with the outfits you were choosing. “I should be the only one to see you in these outfits.” He would say as he pouts and crosses his arms over his chest. “Fine, but im not going to let anyone look at you for too long, you’re only mine baby.” He would add as he caressed your frame knowing you were going to wear whatever you wanted anyways.

Hanse

Hanse may seem hard and tough but he’s actually pretty soft. So he would just whine about your outfit choice. But since you could convince him he would just have a mean mug during your whole night out. His face would ward off all the guys so he would feel proud of himself. “Okay baby, how about we go home and you show me who I belong too.” You whisper to Hanse causing him to jolt up in excitement as he pulled you towards the exit. “Those were the words I was waiting for baby girl!” Hanse would add before he brought you in by your waist.

Byungchan

Byungchan is a soft baby so he wouldn’t really object to your choice of clothes but he would whine a little. He would also make sure everyone knew that you were his girlfriend. He would cling to you like a baby koala. “My girlfriend is so beautiful. Isn’t she?” Byungchan would say as he places a kiss on your cheek.

Subin

Since Subin is the youngest, he’s used to being the center of attention and it was the same in your relationship. So he knew he didn’t have to be jealous about your outfit choice. He would just laugh at all the other guys that were trying to get your attention since your eyes never left his. After a while he would finally place a deep kiss on your lips and smirk. “Babe, lets go home it’s my turn to take advantage of this amazing outfit.” He would say as his eyes traveled down your frame.
