This kind of ties into the Anon that talked about reader if they where a music student, but I can totally imagine Billy hearing one of readers songs theyve composed for the class they're in and like practically copying it, most of the lyrics changing but like the melodies and harmonies are all pretty much the same. So like he brings it to the band where reader hears it and I feel like the rest of the band wouldn't realise whats going on because it's just a class project and nobody had actually heard it except for her teachers. And I can imagine reader just getting pissed at him one night over it and Billy claiming that it's justified because it's a 'good song' or whatever and claiming reader should be honoured he even considered getting 'inspiration' (even though its pretty much the EXACT SAME). Would be even better if reader didn't put up with his shit and that being the time she leaves whilst the project is happening.

Anyway sorry if this didn't make sense, haven't slept much so im gonna sleep, but also wanted to say that I really love your writing!

anyways, for our music student!reader, he plays the song and at first it takes her a second to realize. it's playing and she recognizes bits and pieces of it when it finally hits that she wrote this, billy never even talked to her about using some of her work, let alone asked if he could credit her in a song. and it's over, the band loves it and she's kind of sitting there in disbelief. when everyone goes for a break she's still in her seat and he's walked over, she just looks up and like she's not fully convinced what she heard says, "I wrote that"

"well bits of it you'd worked on, baby, I had to rework it, but you're my inspiration, like my muse" to him it's truly not a big deal, he's smiling, taking a drink of his water

"and you didn't want to talk to me about it first?"

he's taken aback by the more upset tone, "was trying to surprise you. do we have an issue?"

"were you gonna credit me?"

he's scoffing, rolling his eyes, she's becoming infuriated. "why would I..." he's trailing off, head shaking. "c'mon you're overthinking this, you didn't get much sleep last night, let's go smoke a joint, calm down"

and she has her answer. without directness she knows exactly where she stands, what he means. that she's a nobody and he can walk all over her, steal her art, paint her however he wants, he has the influence, the power, and he sees no issue with it. he has the narrative and she's had enough.

"billy, you're fucking unbelievable." she's up and out of her seat, headed to pack her stuff and leave forever. he's following behind, voice raised.

"what are you doing? this shit is ridiculous, you're a fucking nobody, you should be flattered that I liked parts of your song, let alone let you hang around."

she's turning for a second, "let me hang around? that's what you think this is? well, billy goddamn dunne, I don't want to fucking hang around, I don't want the credit on your stupid song, and I certainly don't want to ever hear from your disgusting mouth ever again" and she's truly gone with the wind, bags packed, disappeared until the breeze changes directions and suddenly her knew songs hitting the radio, and interviews that dig at someone stealing her work start to hit the circuit.

Okay, let’s delve into it without much further ado:

1. HQ Videos

The most important thing is to get high-quality video files. I usually work with 1080p and got mine from dr*maday.me - you can find other kdramas there as well. It’s the go-to source for most kdrama gifmakers.

2. Brightness/Contrast

Make sure to get some good contrast with a Brightness/Contrast layer. That’s how you get the vibrancy, brightness, and deep blacks to make everything look more dynamic and quite sharp already even before the actual sharpening, though usually the colors end up too saturated and vibrant, so you’ll have to tone those down.

For the first gif in this set I used these settings:

3. Basic Sharpening

I like to leave the sharpening for last since it fits better into my workflow. For the basic sharpening (two Smart Sharpens) I use these common settings:

4. Vivid Sharpen (VS)

a. Full VS

For big gifs that are 540x500px or larger, I do a Vivid Sharpen after the basic two Smart Sharpens, and that’s what I did for the gifs in this set as well since they are 540x600px. And voila, there you have your beautiful crisp gifs! You could let it stay at that, but personally I also like to add an extra step…

b. Masking (Partial VS)

Hope you are familiar with masking, Anon!

If you aren’t, that’s okay too. Basically, you click on the icon of a circle in a square and a masking layer will appear on your VS group layer (as indicated by the red circle and arrows in the screenshot below). You can use a soft brush on that masking layer to hide and show what you like. Black = hiding the layer effect; white = showing the layer effect. After making the whole masking layer black (by inverting the colors with Ctrl+I), I use a white brush on the spots where I want to apply the VS:

Narrowing down the area of the sharpening is quite useful since VS tends to make gifs REALLY big, and the Tumblr size limit for gifs is currently at 10 MB, so that's something to keep in mind.

I also do it for depth of field (i.e. when the object in the foreground is sharp and the background is soft/blurry). Masking is a good way to amplify that, play with the soft/sharp contrast, and direct the viewer’s gaze.

With Park Sung-woong I found that VS works well on the dips and grooves in his skin, so I just generously used it on his whole body and face; with Woo Do-hwan I feel like VS looks a bit too harsh on his face, so I tried to use it mostly on his body + his hair, eyes, and mouth, leaving out the rest of his face (as best as I could since there's some movement), the way I did in gif 4 with the masking layer looking like this:

IMO the second one with the full VS looks slightly too harsh on his skin and darkens his face a bit, which I don't want; the background ends up looking grainier as well.

To get back to the first gif, here are three versions with different levels of sharpening for better comparison:

Hey there anon, thanks for asking this I’m flattered! I’m definitely not an expert and I’m still very new to fitness in general (only been at it for ~9 months now.) I’m also not really one to be systematic about it. I don’t calorie count or follow a specific workout routine, for example. Tbh this past year I’ve just been dicking around in the gym and trying new stuff out lol. With that said I don’t really have a definitive routine but I’ll share what I’ve been doing:

• Push-ups everyday, even on rest days. I try to do at least 100 but 200 is my ideal range. I’ve started doing pull-ups most days as well but since I don’t have a pull up bar (yet) I only do those when I go to the gym. Still doing assisted pull-ups for now (multiple sets until failure) but already seeing big improvement in my back and lats!

• My “routine” can shift depending on my schedule but I generally do PPL (push-pull-legs) with a rest day in between. This averages out to about 5-6 days a week in the gym, 3-4 of those being upper body and 2 leg days. However, when I first started lifting I was only doing about 2-3 gym days a week total, so I’ve worked my way up to that. I generally workout for for 60-90 minutes. My workouts usually start with a warm up, then the actual workout, followed by a “Lightning round” to finish off where I just make myself go until absolute failure and get as much of a pump as i can.

• I generally split my upper body workouts into chest/back and arms/shoulders respectively, but sometimes I’ll switch it up. I make it a point to switch up my workouts everytime too, so for example, if I did bench press my last chest day I’ll do dumbbells my next one etc.

• Warming up I always do push-ups, pull-ups, and then depending on what im hitting that day I’ll do some drop sets accordingly to get a good little pump in, really focusing on muscle mind connection. In my opinion MMC has been paramount in me getting good pumps and making sure I’m targeting the muscle I want properly.

• I take my sets to failure every-time and I gradually increase the weight with each set (progressive overload). My only exception to this is during a warm-up where I do some drop sets.

• An example of my routine would look like this:

• As for my diet as I stated I don’t calorie count and I kinda just go off how hungry or full I feel lol. I try to eat mostly healthy but nothing too crazy. Chicken is my main source of protein, I also use ground Turkey a lot. Eggs. Eggs. Eggs. And beans! I mostly use frozen vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, brussel sprouts, zucchini, etc) and I also use leafy greens (spinach, collared/turnip greens, kale etc) in salads and in smoothies. For breakfast I’ll have some oatmeal, toast, potatoes, and of course eggs. I drink protein shakes as well as 5g creatine every day

I’ll share my smoothie recipe because it’s pretty good and I’ve definitely seen gains with it. I drink this pretty much every night after my workout:

Green Smoothie

• Equal parts mango and pineapple

• 2 scoops of vanilla casein protein powder (50g protein)

• 1/2 cup fat-free Greek yogurt (I use Fage brand cause ima fag)

• several handfuls of leafy greens (spinach, collared greens, kale, etc, just whatever I have)

• 1 avocado

• 1 banana

• equal parts coconut water and cashew/almond milk

Blend until it forms a homogeneous liquid :)

This is kinda haphazard but I hope it’s kinda what you’re looking for!! I might make a more detailed post in the future if more people are curious :)

okay so no idea how i should refer to myself as so: hi!! im the person who had way too much fun writing ai/nino toxic yuri on ao3! i was gonna just lurk (me, tumblr account with privated likes, reblogs and follows) BUT how could i with the promise of people being normal about fictional unhealthy gay women. idk if this is the optimal way to communicate i use tumblr with the sole purpose of following 4 people and digging up ai content

i am honestly so flattered (but also kinda upset at the lack of content on them aside from my own 1k word long oneshot please keep recommending if you find more stuff on them) that you enjoyed and recommended my fics considering i just straight up had no clue where i was going: okay so top priority i want them to kiss —> but also with how things are nino would probably lash out (read: bite) —> ai would be hesitant but also is so desperate that she’d still accept it happily —> this will fuel ninos idea of ai being the perfect, invincible idol —> and then i ran and tried not to trip with the rest

your translations of the side stories and blog was probably what helped me get in to oshi no ko again because even though i am still not over ai being dead i can now listen to someone talk about how great and tragic and sad and miserable she was along with all the other characters so thank you again!

that said it does make me so happy every time I hear people saying my relentless oshi no posting stands out to them to the degree that it does lol. I guess I'm in a similar place as you where, as happy as I am for it, it does make me a little sad that it feels like there's such little fan interest in lengthy meta and discussion on Ai herself outside of some really banal, surface level stuff. To a degree, I get that with other characters having so much more time on the page and having ongoing arcs to speculate about, but Ai is sooooooooo fascinating to me and it really drives me insane how often I see people make zero effort to engage with her arc beyond her utilitarian function in the story. It also really bums me out how often I see her get reduced to just a stepping stone in the arcs of other characters — even though the manga is literally shaking you right now and begging you to understand and empathize with her more than ever, I straight up see people cheering and crowing about Ruby 'surpassing' her or 'becoming the true Ai' as if this is a good thing and they are not completely fucking missing the point lmao.

ANYWAY!!!! That's enough grumping because the actual point of this response was to say: the Ai posting will continue until I am physically forced to stop!!!! I have so many thoughts about my wife constantly and if I do not share them I will explode!!!

First of all I’m flattered you liked my stuff at all haha let alone that you have stuck around despite not being in the same fandoms anymore 🥺 next of all!! What a kind thing to say!! It means a whole whole lot. I think on my end it’s harder to see improvement, so it’s really encouraging to hear that other people can see it. Like intellectually I know I am always improving, but drawing is still hard and I’m always in the weeds of my own work and don’t really get to step back and see a wider view unless I look at some of my old art and I’m like oh hey! I actually did get better bc this looks worse to me now 😂

yeah I was definitely trying to replicate the ml show style in the beginning! I decided to learn how to draw specifically so I could draw miraculous ladybug fanart HDJDJS and at first that’s all I really knew how to do. When I got into toh I didn’t replicate that style but I did incorporate some elements from it. I think I did the same a little bit w atla, and I’m doing it now w the botw/totk art style too. and I’m sure as I love more things and keep drawing it will keep developing! I am also hugely inspired by other artists and I sometimes try to incorporate the things I admire into my own work. I feel like my art style is just a culmination of all the things I have loved so much I had to create about it. just a big playdough ball with a bunch of colors rolled in, haha

Also you’ve discovered my weakness…i have an Addiction….to THE GLOW. moth behavior. I wouldn’t say I have a great understanding of lighting and colors but I sure do love when they’re happening. So I just try to make them happen and I’m like ohohoho what if it were sunset. get this: rim lighting. perhaps (definitelyhaps) a lens flare. God was so right when He said “Let there be light.”

i know ive sent an ask before, but i just have to send one again after reading the epilogue.

i’ve been here since the comic started, and it’s been such a thrilling adventure to follow this incredible story you’ve made for them. the characters have so much depth, they act so human, and i feel like thats an important key that a lot of artists miss about their favorite characters.

it’s been amazing to watch how your art style developed too, how it changed, improved, and fit so well as the story went on. your work with displaying emotions is amazing. i love how you draw them, as well as writing emotion! the text bubbles, different fonts, i could hear the emotion in their voices in my head as i read it.

this story was genuinely such a rollercoaster of emotion and i couldn’t ever stop reading. i think i’ll forever read it once or twice a year as i remember it, LOL. i know it’s silly to some people to be so emotional over some webcomic about a super mario ship, but i loved every bit of this. i’ve smiled, cried, yelled, and rolled my eyes over this comic.

i’m sad to see it end, but at the same time, i’m glad you’ve finally finished it and you have a break from the work it takes. and trust me, i know it’s a lot! i’ve had many failed comic attempts in my art history.

the epilogue was completely phenomenal, and i do hope we see some more art of them from this little comic universe! even if it isn’t big, fancy, colored work. i just hope we see some more of them every now and then!

So often when working on this comic I was worried that the characters weren't behaving realistically. I wasn't so much worried about accurately portraying their in-canon personalities, but I at most wanted to make their personalities and reactions believable. I'm so glad that could come across.

Watching my own style change and adapt has also built my confidence in my artistic abilities. I know what I'm capable of and I have a better understanding of where my limits are when it comes to drawing for hours (or days) on end.

For me it's a huge relief to see it end, both because it's a huge truckload of work off my shoulders and because the story gets to actually have an ending. I know there were serious times were I thought about abandoning this story and I'm so glad I was able to push myself through those breaking points and bring this story to a conclusion that I'm immensely satisfied with and exactly as I envisioned.

You will most likely see bits and pieces here and there of this version of the bowuigi gang, but I can firmly say that this is where the main story ends.

I don't want to sound pretentious when i say all this (and this ended up being really long??), but i really do think you don't need to uphold your online presence so consciously, or even at all. There's nothing wrong with being "inactive" because trying to show up for everything is some sick standard social media made up. Maybe it might be difficult to uphold an idgaf personality, but i can say from my experience it could be better to try a little bit at a time. I can say that they really do mean it when you can have quiet admirers, from my experience all the more. Maybe they're too shy to put silly tags when they reblog or just put a like on your post. And I don't think you have to worry too much about sticking to one piece of media and be afraid the people following you won't like you anymore for posting different content. At most, I just believe they won't really care enough to unfollow you or stop engaging entirely. The most important thing to me is that you stick around doing the things you actually want to do, even if you're just showing up every month or so, or black out for a year or more. Because the people who do care will be overjoyed to see you whatever you post or share, especially when you come back after a long time. It really is discouraging when you don't see that actively, maybe because we're so used to seeing numbers that relate to our worth. But i like to imagine we're waving at each other from a distance or smiling through a window, as horrid as online landscapes can be nowadays. I know i'm running my mouth here but i just wanted to share my experience because i um. 🙋 also think youre really cool and awesome and i love whatever work you do and the fact you share it is an amazing thing enough i feel privelaged and youre humor is funny and whatever new stuff you post is just introducing me to things i'll also think is cool down the line and i really do wish i can share my appericiation more and evolve from being a quiet admirer /inhales/ 👍 i would say this is a sort of love letter from the gas station but i also mean it as kai 👋 i hope you're doing well in uni or that it gets better soon or in whatever it is youre doing now. and whether or not youre online, i hope youre doing the things you enjoy 🫶

okay i needed some time to figure out how to respond to this ask because theres a lot (in a /pos way dont worry) so ill start off with saying that i really really and i do mean it Really appreciate what you said here. Especially lately, ive been struggling with being active online outside of small spaces where there are just me and a few other people. might be me feeling overwhelmed when i say something into the void with a high chance of no response, though i wont fault anyone for that. i myself know interaction is scary so i do get it. ever since i started using the internet ive stuck to my small online bubbles so yeah interaction kind of intimidating online

and though i agree it does feel discouraging to sometimes see no feedback or much of a reaction, i try not to be bummed out about it myself because im also a silent admirer of many artists online. so like ive said before i do understand that sometimes people are shy and dont interact directly and theres no pressure really to change that. just the idea that there are people that like what i make is really nice, even though i suffer from the same issue that maaany other artists have and i need to actively remind myself of that.

about sticking to one fandom its a very recent but big issue to me because ive been DEEP in the persona pit for like 4 years, and i certainly built an audience around that. i know there will always be people that stick around no matter what but despite that theres always that nagging feeling that maaybe things will crumble. obviously thats not true but human mind fucking SUCKS

cut to the next day, camilo goes looking for her but couldnt find her anywhere, he goes to his spot in the woods, only to find someone there wearing a camisa de chino. he strikes up a conversation with them thinking hes a guy(also crushes on him) when actually its just the same reader from last night, listening to him ramble thinking hes the reader's brother that he doesnt know of. reader stays silent pretending to be mute until her name gets called by her parents or smth and she teases him for liking both versions of her before leaving

A party was going to be held this evening at la casa Madrigal. Everyone in Encanto was aware that a party hosted by the Madrigals was going to be a significant event. All of the people will get dressed nicely for the occasion, and you were no exception.

Being in a family that is very traditional is either something you have pride in or just straight up gives you a pain in the ass. Take this moment for an instance, your parents are forcing you to wear a Baro't Saya to the Madrigals' welcoming party for your family. Surely you are proud of your heritage but this was too much for your liking. However, no amount of protest would make your parents stop forcing you to wear traditional clothing, they even threatened to beat your ass with a tsinelas. You scowled deeply as you looked in front of your mirror with your siblings making fun of you and your parent cooing at how beautiful their daughter is. Your mother hands you a hand fan and you take it with a heavy sigh.

Eventually, you follow your family to la casa Madrigal. You see the other Madrigals dressed well, you even spotted a few of them sending compliments to you and your family for your unique choice of outfits. You opened your hand fan with a flustered face, you felt more embarrassed than flattered by the compliments. It wasn't like you hated the outfit, it was just you weren't used to wearing them. Back in your old town, you preferred to wear more loose clothing that didn't restrict your movements. In contrast to the Baro't Saya you're wearing, which was too tight for your taste. Your parents failed to notice that you're a growing teenager.

All of you arrive inside the Casita, the house greeted you by moving the tiles, and you can't help but smile and wave at the magical house. There was upbeat music playing, the scent of food was in the air, and everyone was having a good time. Unlike you, who's trying her best to take in a breath while wearing this tight dress. Parties for you were hit or miss, but it was hard to ignore the cheery atmosphere that you wish you could enjoy the moment.

You frowned and sat near the corner, grumpily munching on an arepa and fanning your face. You let your family have their fun as they scattered around the place to socialize with others. This was your first time wearing a traditional outfit in public and it's making you highly self-conscious. For the rest of the party, you remained alone and covered your face with your hand fan.

Lively music began blaring, a familiar musical piece entitled El Baile Madrigal. You watched in awe as a few of the Madrigals walked into the center and started dancing. They all looked so happy and truly in the moment. You quietly cheered along with the others, you gazed at Pepa and Félix Madrigal dancing smoothly with the music. Agustín pulls his wife, Julieta Madrigal, and proceeds to dance with her. Alma Madrigal was gently pushed into the dancefloor with her son Bruno as they too shared a dance.

You swayed along with the music until you heard howls amongst them. A flash of yellow catches your eye as you watched in amazement at this fantastic guy pulling all of the smoothest dance moves. He twirled and smiles, his hips were mesmerizing, and especially that confident look on his face. You can tell he's purposely putting on a show, it also doesn't take a genius to identify him as the one and only Camilo Madrigal. He danced with his family and continued to entertain everyone with his shapeshifting. All of a sudden, Camilo's eyes meet yours, you lock your gaze on him and began pulling your fan to cover half of your face. Until the end of the music, Camilo kept his eyes on yours.

The shapeshifter almost tripped on his own feet after seeing that beautiful lady wearing that adorned outfit. He knew he had to talk to her because holy shit she was beyond ethereal. While everyone cheered for his fantastic performance, he pushed himself through the crowd and towards the pretty girl. He meets her and his heart leaps out of his chest. The shapeshifter gulped and nervously brushed his hair back, you looked at him with those shimmering [Eye Color] eyes that made his knees so weak.

"Hola, hermosa"

Camilo greeted. You stand awkwardly in your dress, not knowing how to respond. You weren't going to lie, he looked more handsome up close. You decided to ease up a little

"Aren't you going to dance some more?"

"Oh, dancing can wait when a chica bonita like you only comes around once in a while"

He winked at you and your face suddenly heats up. Camilo cautiously gets closer to you, hoping to get a good look at your face but your hand fan was getting in the way. He huffed but offered you an empanada, you softly take the snack and ate it behind the fan. Camilo takes in your appearance from head to toe. Short hair, bright eyes, light makeup and jewelry, and an eccentric but beautiful clothing

"I like your dress, it really suits you"

"H-ha? Re-really?"

"Sí, I've never seen anyone like you, especially this pretty"

"Ay, tigilan mo nga pambobola mo"

The shapeshifter raises a brow in confusion about the lady's foreign language. The girl clears her throat and shyly looked into his eyes.

"...You think I'm pretty?"

"Yes, very much, señorita"

"I...thank you. I don't really wear this type of clothes all the time"

"Hmm, that's no problem. Say, are you from a different country?"

You nod your head and began talking about your home country. You take note of Camilo's interest in getting to know you, it was incredibly sweet of him. During the entire party, you spend some time with the Madrigal. He'll crack you jokes to make you laugh your lungs out and in return, you'll tell him stories about your heritage. Camilo excuses himself to get more food for you and him. It was getting late when your parents went looking for you.

"Halika na, uuwi na tayo"

Your parents said but you felt reluctant to leave without saying goodbye to Camilo, yet you knew better than to disobey your parents. With a sad smile, you go to your parents and went home for the night. Soon, the shapeshifter returns only to find you gone. Camilo can feel his heart drop to the floor. He panicked and looked all of the Casita for you but all in vain. Stumped, he sat by the staircase and sadly gazed at the floor.

The beautiful Filipina lady left without even giving him her name, Camilo believed what he shared with her was special. Man, it felt like it was straight out of a fairy tale, like Cinderella. In that case, like the prince, he too shall search for the beautiful nameless lady.

As soon as the sun rises, Camilo bolted out of his bed. His entire family was astonished to find him awake this early, usually, he would take any opportunity to sleep in. He drinks his coffee and eats breakfast with his family, he ate faster than he could ever be. Camilo eagerly excuses himself to head to town.

He makes his way through the streets of Encanto, searching every nook and corner for those beautiful [Eye Color] eyes. The shapeshifter barely slept that night, he was plagued with the thoughts of that charming lady. Camilo kept looking for her until the afternoon, but to no avail.

Camilo found himself in dismay and took a stroll in the woods. He tried to clear his head but all he can think about is that astonishing girl. His thoughts turn to a stop when he noticed another person sitting by themselves. The shapeshifter halts to get a clear look at the person. It appears to be a guy wearing casual clothes and enjoying the silence. He gently approaches but he steps on a twig and catches the other's attention.

The Madrigal's heart leaps out of his chest when he saw how fucking handsome the guy looked. Camilo trips and falls to the ground, he gets back up to his feet and pretended he wasn't embarrassed. The guy gave him a look as if he has grown two heads.

"I...uh...¡Hola!"

He says in a high-pitched voice and a flushed face. The guy stayed silent but sends him a small wave. Camilo found himself stumbling on his words, too distracted by the handsome guy in front of him. The shapeshifter inhales sharply, the beating of his heart was faster than ever.

"Can I...can I sit here with you?"

The Madrigal asked. Obliviously, the guy who's gazing at him was you but wearing Camisa de Chino. The outfit was your go-to when you would go out in the town, it wasn't uncommon for some strangers to mistake you for a boy. The events of the previous night returned and it made you timid around the shapeshifter. However, instead of revealing your true identity as the lady in Baro't Saya, you stayed quiet.

Camilo shyly takes a seat beside the boy, he twiddled with his hands for a second and consciously brushed his hair back. As he stole glances at the pretty guy, it's suddenly making him self-conscious. His face heats up when the guy meets his eyes. For an odd reason, his eyes reminded him of the Filipina he met last night. Camilo squinted his eyes at the guy.

"Hey, you look familiar..."

You gulped. You don't want to be recognized that quickly. Luckily for you, the Madrigal drops his suspicious gaze on you. Though you can't stop a smile rising on your face when you took note of how flustered he acted.

"I could've sworn you reminded me of someone. Uh, do you happen to be related to a Filipina lady because you kinda look like her?"

Camilo watched the guy nod at him. Oh, that must be why he looks familiar! He was related to the charming lady from last night. The shapeshifter can help but gawk at him, the handsome lad wasn't the talkative type. But he has to admit, the guy and the lady surely have amazing genetics because he's fucking swooning for the both of them.

"You're really...uh...handsome"

You smile at his compliment. You watch in amusement as Camilo's face turns into various shades of red.

"Oh...um, I think I met your sister last night. She was incredibly...beautiful, but she didn't give me her name when she left..."

"Bu-but I'm glad I met you here because...heh, you know, I wanna meet her, I can't get her out of my head"

"Honestly, you look just like her and I'm unsure if you two are twins but you're...attractive as hell and..."

"And can I also get your name?"

You hold back a laugh at Camilo's sudden rambling. You can't believe that the shapeshifter was falling for the two versions of you, it's adorable. You kept your mouth shut, not wanting to spoil the fun and to let Camilo remain blushing under your presence.

"[Name]?! There you are! I've been looking for you!"

Your mother calls for you. Camilo's eyes go wide for a second, you freeze and eventually let out an awkward chuckle as you looked at him. You stand up from your spot and gave him a teasing look.

"Looks like you now know me and my sister's name"

It took a whole minute for Camilo to process everything, it felt like a bucket of cold water dumped over him. Camilo's jaw drops as he points at you. All of it finally makes sense! The lady from last night as well as this handsome lad in front of him are the same person! This brings a feverish blush to his face. He can't believe he just crushed on two versions of the same girl!

"I guess I'll see you later, you two-timer"

You winked teasingly and ruffled his hair as you walked away to your mother and then left. The shapeshifter found the situation so mind-boggling, a girl who both can be beautiful and handsome. He felt like he just hit the ultimate jackpot. Camilo bites his lip and snapped his fingers.

Hiii zalyy. Uhh i just saw your recent post and i wanted to say that youre under no obligation to write if you're not feeling it or just don't want to anymore. You already know this but I just wanted to put it out there because forcing yourself to pump out works is exhausting and something i hope you never have to do.

I also want to add that it's okay if you don't post often. Like I think that was implied but like I hope you don't feel sad for not being able to post your ideas and works. You have your own life outside of tumblr and being here is something you do out of your own volition, not a responsibility. Uhhh basically wanna say i hope that you don't feel sad or stressed about the the time you take between posting fics!

i saw this a few days ago along with a similar ask, so im really sorry it took a while to respond…but can i just say i feel so touched that you actually wrote a whole ass essay to me 😭😭 like wow. you certainly didn’t have to go this far because i am literally NOT worth it, but thank you so much for this anyway ;;

its weird how i always initially view writing as a hobby, and then at some point suddenly look at it only to feel like i’m being obligated to do it,, or at least satisfy people for the sake of it. i mean, i like writing, i like making people happy, i have a shit ton of amazing drafts left without completion, but at some point it does get taxing,,, and at the same time the urge to write starts to get sort of inconsistent. i like it but i hate it 😭 and probably the weirdest thing about it

that said, reading stuff like this actually motivates me to write some stuff again — not because i feel guilt tripped into staying — but because things like this make it feel worth writing, knowing that someone out there is still willing to read and interact with any of my works. and it’s upsetting to see how some passionate and talented people on tumblr decided to quit or put a pause on writing, because they felt like they gave a lot of effort producing all these amazing fics for nothing.

i definitely have the better hang of juggling real life and writing this time, and i’m hoping that during this (potentially) last month, i won’t feel too stressed or burned out by it like i did before.

anyways idk why this got so long and sidetracked 😭 and i still have no idea why i’m kinda attached to writing. shoving that shit aside, i’m really flattered that i’ve become a part of your genshin playing journey :’) and i’d love to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my writing one too <3

hope this didn’t get sent multiple times😭😭 1) hii I’m the nightshade anon. I sometimes saw mixed reviews so I was honestly really surprised by how good it actually is. To me it’s better than most “popular” ones but I can see why some aspects of it might drive potential players away (the age gaps and cousin li lmao). I was really pleasantly surprised by Enju! (also her smirking face is so funny to me) She’s def passive in many cases but I found her stances believable most of the time-

love hearing your thoughts and seeing where we vibe similarly and where we diverge. i wasn’t actually aware this one received mixed opinions! then again my moral boundaries are admittedly more permeable in the face of good storytelling and this one in particular is well loved in the communities i frequent (like the r/otomegames subreddit there’s a lot of likeminded freaks there lol) so that’s an honest surprise. but i get and sympathize w the aversion for sure

idk what it is about kuroyuki but he scratches some itch in my id that makes me appreciate his creep factor. my otome logic usually follows that agency and a clear and definite arc (preferably a transformation of active growth) for the heroine are my priority but that can be easily displaced by a specific type of yandere borderline or yandere lite hero. i identify him as such bc straight out yandere feel flatter to me as characters and their gestures of love really have nothing to do w their object of fixation and are just reflections of their own ego

whereas while a borderline yandere like kuroyuki can have toxic and unhealthy predilections it’s apparent that his fixation on enju is grounded by as much genuine love and regard for her as a yandere’s typical self-subservience. kuroyuki will go against her wishes for her sake but the power dynamics here clearly indicate that she has more power over him than the kind he tries to exert over her. an ordinary yandere just preys over the heroine in the guise of “love”. kuroyuki will disregard healthy boundaries but it’s always in service of her. he’s always under her bend regardless

and on the opposite end of that im an absolute sucker for a functional adult of a king whose behavior and character are a complete 180 and that’s why i love hanzo so much lmao my taste in otome men are a diverse mess

yes!!!! i support enju dismantling the system or at least killing those shitty lords who used her as a pawn. she deserves some retribution. the closest we get is whenever she faced her dad after finding her own power but i can’t complain about those moments as they were always 👌

wish we got a fandisc too! i don’t wish for a sequel necessarily as im quite happy w the good/canon endings but if we somehow had like a radio drama or just extra snippets exploring enju’s childhood and bonds w everybody for example i’d be so happy.

anyway thanks for sending me your thoughts! really enjoyed reading them and im glad you liked it. nightshade’s one of the few digital otome that has a permanent spot in my switch menu bc i love revisiting it (for hanzo’s route lol)
