Okie I have another one bc I love Shangqi and Morgan interactions :’) but imagining them doing karaoke together 🥺 like Morgan is like “I wanna sing with Shangqi” 👉🏽👈🏽
Tumblr media
Aight, boom.
Um I’m so sorry this came out so much longer than I intended lmao.
A Karaoke Date head cannons
“Y/N,”
You looked down from your computer to see Morgan pushing a chair next to you. You snorted and spun your chair around, leaning back to watch her climb up onto the chair and sit to face you.
“What’s up, Morganite?”
“Where’s Uncle Shangqi?”
“He’s working, short stack, but he’ll be home later tonight.”
Morgan chewed on her bottom lip as she thought about what she wanted to say, “But I leave soon.”
“Hey, I still have you here for a few more days until Pepper takes you back home. You miss him?” You asked, a smile growing on your face as you realized how close your sister and your fiance were growing together.
Morgan huffed, “I want to do the singing stuff with the microphone because he always talks about it and Bucky Bear even talked about it and Mr. Barton talked about it and Ms. Katy says it all the time and that they sing and stuff and I want to do it to because that sounded fun and he likes Disney and I like Disney and I wanna sing with Shangqi, please.”
By the time she was done she was gasping for one big breath since she decided she didn’t need to take one at all while she explained her reasoning. You thought this was adorable, and you knew you had to act to make this kid’s dream come true.
But, you also knew you probnably shouldn’t take her to the karaoke bar. She, unlike Peter, was very obviously underaged. Also, you didn’t need to recreate all the aspects of your childhood with Tony.
“Squirt, give me a few hours. You’re having a karaoke party with your uncle tonight.”
Morgan threw her hands up in the air, “Fuck yeah!”
“Kid you have got to stop saying that. Pepper is going to kick my ass.”
And it went like this:
Shangqi was beyond ecstatic. Morgan wanted to hang out with him? She was requesting to do something he loved? Oh, fuck yeah. This made his day. It made work all the more tolerable.
Katy was obviously invited on the spot, and she was already planning what to do. Shangqi and Katy said they’d get the necessary tech needed for this experience, and after you had sent too much money to them, they went with the absolute best and most excessive thing that a home did not need.
Basically, your livingroom was now going to be the karaoke bar.
You took Morgan shopping for lights, more pillows, a bunch of snacks, fun cups to drink out of, silly straws, and anything else you could think of to make it an authentic experience.
A disco ball may have been purchased.
By the time Shangqi and Katy got there, you went to work setting up the machines while Morgan ran to Shangqi and yelled about the plan for the night, even though he already knew about it, and announced that she was his singing partner.
Katy was offended until Morgan said that she was also her singing partner “sometimes, yes, maybe, but mostly Uncle Shangqi.”
Morgan’s microphone was blue with red flames at the bottom of it, because Katy thought it was as gangster as Morgan was, with a bedazzled base. It was the only specially designed microphone. Morgan was pleased.
Morgan set up the song lineup. She had no idea what half of them are and picked a bunch at random after she had chosen what she wanted.
No one enjoyed your Vanilla Ice impression as much as Shangqi, who had tears in his eyes from laughter.
There was something so right about Morgan singing Simba’s parts for Hakuna Matata while Shangqi and Katy were Timone and Pumba.
That obviously wasn’t enough, but it was a solid start.
The next song was “You’re Welcome.” Katy thought it was way, way too fitting for your Stark ass.
But, Katy did forego ‘A Whole New World’ so Shangqi could sing it with Morgan. He scooped her up and swayed around the room with her like they were flying on a magic carpet.
They also screamed ‘Let It Go’ and you couldn’t tell if your eye was twitching bc this had been the 10000th time you’d heard the song (thanks to Katy) or because this was so cute you couldn’t handle it.
There was a brief disclaimer for Morgan to never repeat some songs. This was because you didn’t want to hear Pepper call you and ask why Morgan was screaming that she liked big butts and she could not lie.
Morgan stuck to Shangqi like glue, and when she was tired and needed a break, she absolutely marveled at him singing.
“You two next,” Morgan begged to see the two of you together. “I need to rehydrate.”
You hated how cute she was sometimes.
You two sang ‘Now I See the Light’ and Katy recorded the entire thing.
Morgan was enthralled.
“It’s just like the movies,” She whispered in awe to Katy as she watched you and Shangqi sing together and she could see how much love there was between you two. It reminded her of Tony staring at Pepper.
Yes, you were definitely doe-eyed like Tony was when he stared at Pepper. Shangqi was your Pepper.
And then Morgan was over at how cute it was because she wanted to sing more with her uncle. She sang until her voice gave out and her throat felt too scratchy.
Even after hydrating with a popsicle, obviously, she was done.
She fell asleep in the middle of you and Katy screaming to a Lizzo song yet again.
Shangqi smiled and scooped up Morgan to bring her to the guest room in your home. As he tucked her into bed, Morgan woke up again and grabbed his hand.
“Thank you, she mumbled shyly, bringing forth her hair to cover her face before chewing on the end of it. “I had fun.”
Shangqi beamed, “I’m so glad you had fun, Ms. Morgan. I did too. Sleep well, okay? Have sweet dreams. We’ll do something together tomorrow. Maybe go to the zoo?”
“Okay!” She beamed and reached over to grab her Bucky Bear and throw him in his chest,” tuck him in too.”
“Yes, I’ll tuck in Bucky,” Shangqi chuckled and tucked the bear into bed with her, “Goodnight, Ms. Morgan.”
“Goodnight, Shangqi,” Morgan said quickly and brought the covers up over her face.
When Shangqi was just leaving, he could hear Morgan timidly say ‘I love you.’
He froze. He cleared his throat as he reached for the lights, slammed them shut, and quickly said, “Love ya, Ms. Morgan, sleep tight,” as though he hadn’t heard her say it first, then quickly ran out the room.
You and Katy went upstairs to say goodnight before continuing the fun.
You found Shangqi leaning against the wall crying softly.
“Holy shit. Did she bully you? Fuck I missed it,” Katy sighed.
“She said she loves me,” Shangqi sniffled quickly. “And I absolutely reacted appropriately.”
You laughed. You cupped his face, kissed him on the lips, “I love you, sweet boy. We’ll be right back.”
You both said goodnight to Morgan. Katy left first ,and you stayed back.
“What do you think of Shangqi, Morgy?”
“I love him,” Morgan said from under the covers, too embarassed to admit it openly. “I can’t wait until you two are married.”
“Me too, squirt. Me too.”

.... It was a moment of weakness, I swear. 😅
And what started out as a simple list of headcanons may or may not have snowballed into 4 short stories of reader slapping Pillarman cake that I have been working on almost non-stop since I got the request on A03... 😳😇 Oopsie!
Pillarmen react to getting slapped in the cake unexpectedly...
(Under the cut for length!)
Tumblr media
(Warning! Do not attempt with real life Pillarmen! Slapping ancient Aztec buns may result in death...)
Kars:
It was a quiet morning at the house, which wasn't uncommon, but Kars always welcomed the silence and any and all absence of chaos. Nose deep in his book, he greeted you as you sauntered in to the room, not even bothering to lift his eyes from the text layered pages as per usual.
Always perceptive, even when distracted, it was no big feat to be able to differentiate your footsteps from the others; you being much lighter and smaller played a big part in that, of course. Though, he didn't think to wonder why you were tip-toeing like that...
He turned the page, the quiet rattle of paper breaking the silence, when he felt you right near him. The Pillarman still didn't care to tear his eyes from the sea of words he was lost in as he simply stood there, rooted to the floor.
"Hello dear one," he greeted, the timber of his deep and quiet voice floated through the Livingroom like a breeze. "if you're looking for Wamuu he's out--"
S M A C K!
The words evaporated on his tongue in a sheer instant. His blood-red eyes went wide in their sockets, unfocusing as the world around him stopped turning for just a moment.
Did you really just...?
No. He had to be mistaken.
You couldn't have--
No. You WOULDN'T have--
A pregnant and deafening moment of silence had fallen over the room, this time he all but welcomed it, only punctuated by the sound of a little giggle that managed to escape your lips.
You did.
You really just did.
Not that it hurt him; if anything he felt more the jiggle of his right cheek rather than the sting of the slap itself.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he turned his head to peer down at you; a frown tugging at the corners of his lips and etching deep lines into his fair, chiseled features. You were biting your own lip, your body shaking with suppressed giggles that tried to force their way out. You had your hands folded neatly behind your back, looking up at him with eyes best described as "innocent" as you made an attempt to hide the grin trying to force its way across your face.
You looked the very definition of smug.
Though he was displeased, he actually couldn't help but admire your bravery to be able to simply walk up and do such a thing.
Especially to him.
You must've been bored.
Really bored.
Either that or Esidisi put you up to this...
It didn't matter either way, as he fully intended to get down on your level if you wanted to pull such a stunt like that.
He shut the book that he was no longer invested in with a loud and heavy "THUD". In barely half a second, you were grabbed and thrown over his shoulder making you squawk in surprise.
"So," he began, tucking the book under his other arm and starting up the stairs. His voice was low, almost a purr, but it held an unignorable bite to it. "You like spanking, do you, little one?"
Uh oh.
UH OH.
You realized, quite belatedly, that you hadn't quite thought that through, squirming in his firm hold as he carried you all the way upstairs and right into his room.
Kars continued, you could hear the smirk in his very tone as he spoke. "Well in that case, I do hope you're prepared for one..." The door slammed shut ominously behind him. "Act like a child; you get punished like one."
You swallowed thickly at those words, a terror only best described a primal shooting through your body like lighting.
You had a feeling you weren't going to be sitting comfortably around the house anytime soon...
Esidisi:
The massive man chuckled as you hopped up and down, lips puckered like a sucker fish, almost meeting his cheek this time but just missing it as he stood up straight again.
You have been trying (emphasis on trying) to kiss him goodbye for nearly 5 minutes now.
On the norm, you made an effort to kiss all of your housemates, the Pillarmen, goodbye on their cheek every morning they went out. It became a routine for you all, or perhaps just a healthy habit on your part.
You'd kiss them goodbye as they went out doing God-knows-what for a few hours while you worked around the house; doing chores, working on courses, doing work inside at the computer or outside in the garden.
But this morning, Esidisi insisted on tormenting you.
And for his own entertainment no less.
You kissed Kars on his cheek and he patted your head. You kissed Wamuu on his cheek and he responded by respectfully kissing your hand. You kissed Santana on his cheek and he butted his head softly against yours.
And finally, you went to kiss Esidisi and he pulled away.
He laughed at your doe-eyed expression as your lips met empty air, smiling innocently down at you when you looked up at him in confusion. You blinked and tried again, only to be met with the same thing. You thought he would cut it out there but no; he was taking full enjoyment out of your determination, not to mention your reactions, as he just kept stopping you by pulling away or pushing you at arms length.
At this point, he was really milking it.
"Oh c'mon, Esidisi!" You whined, starting to get a little frustrated.
You stood on your toes, standing as taught as a bowstring as you held onto one of his massive and muscular arms, trying to peck his cheek. He refused to comply, grinning and standing at his full height; which was inevitably well out of your reach.
"Oh, but this is fun, my sweet little Human." He laughed, tapping his cheek almost invitingly. "Keep up. Maybe you'll get it if you jump just a little higher."
Kars rolled his eyes, folding his arms over his broad chest. He and the others had also been watching this display for almost 5 minutes now.
"Esidisi, come on and get it over with." The purple-haired Pillarman sighed, his amusement towards these antics long gone at this point. "We're burning daylight."
Esidisi let out a sigh, rolling his own eyes. "Alright." He said, leaning down to your level with a smirk.
You pursed your lips, that gleam in his eye told you what exactly he planned to do and that plan was to pull away one final time, just to get your goat before he left so he could have a good laugh about it like the bastard you knew he could be.
Unfortunately for him; you were one step ahead of him.
Like lightning, you pressed a kiss into the palm of your hand and threw your arm back, swinging it to smack your smooched hand it as hard as you could against his bare asscheek.
C R A C K!
The sound was almost like a gun going off.
Silence fell over the room, Esidisi's eyes were as wide as saucers and his cheeky (tee-hee) expression was now nowhere to be found.
"There." You spat, your own cheeks burning hot, the feeling spreading all the way back to your ears. "That's a cheek I can reach." Clenching your hands into fists, also trying to hide the fact one of your hands was stinging like fire, you stomped out of the room.
Finally, you could get a start on the chores you needed to get done for the day.
Even though, you knew it hurt your hand more than it hurt his bum; it was worth it. Esidisi had been the one to teach you a very important lesson to live by, after all; "Don't get mad; get even.".
Kars laughed lowly, Santana smirking as Wamuu hid a grin behind his hand; all of them watching you make your proud departure. Esidisi watched you go, bug-eyed and holding a hand gingerly against the cheek you had smacked.
"They certainly showed you, Esidisi." Kars chuckled.
Wamuu:
Training with Wamuu was definitely fun.
He was very encouraging; tempering you with praise as you pushed yourself and ensuring you weren't overdoing it. But once in a blue moon, once he decided that you had become substantially stronger and your lessons were becoming to easy for you, he upped the intensity a little.
Making it just a little less than fun for you at those times, of course.
Today in particular, you found yourself on the ground more than on your actual feet.
"Wamuu..." you panted, trying to force yourself up after he pushed you down for seemingly the millionth time that afternoon. "...I--... I'm..."
The warrior however, was having none of it.
Folding his arms, the green of his double-ringed eyes burned like glittering emeralds. "Try again, little one." He said, his voice soft but stern. "You must remember to apply what I have taught you; if you rush, it will only open yourself to be knocked down first."
Today, he presented you with the challenge of trying to pin him and needless to say, it was going just about as easy as it sounded.
He watched as you shakily got to your feet, huffing and puffing. It made his heart swell every time the undeniable gleam of ferocity in your eyes caught his, a fine warriors trait in his own opinion. He took stance, spreading his legs as he hunched his back, keeping himself open and ready to defend. You came at him, like you had done several times prior, grabbing onto him and trying to find a foothold only to be swatted away easily like a house fly.
A few more tries (resulting in a few more throwdowns) and Wamuu finaly decided that you were finished for the day.
"You are too tired to continue," he hummed, peering down into your face where you lay with your back to the ground.
His huge hands slipped under you, gently picking you up almost like a Mother would her babe, and setting you on your feet. He cupped your chin to peer into your eyes as you still tried to force breath into your burning lungs, evaluating what remainder of strength you had left. "I do believe that is enough for today, my little warrior."
He turned away from you, walking only a few feet away to the change of clothes sitting along with the items you had brought along with you laying idle on the ground. You watched, still dazed and incredibly tired as he bent over to pick up your things for you, still talking away.
"You must also try to remember to strike your opponent where and when they are vulnerable," he spoke as he busied himself. "Look for any given opportunity to gain advantage at any given time."
Focusing was hard enough when you were this exhausted, however, it was downright impossible when you were on the receiving end of a view like this.
It never really bothered you that the Pillarmen chose to walk around half-naked the majority of the time but right now, with those two bronze globes in your line of vision and shinning in the sun, a wicked idea formed as his previous words echoed throughout your tired mind.
'Strike when vulnerable, huh?' You thought to yourself, settling your eyes on the prize.
Maybe it was time for a little payback for him being so relentless with you today.
Slowly, you sauntered right up to him until you stood directly behind the massive warrior. With the sun at his back, there was no shadow for you to accidentally step on and set him off; so it was safe for you to get as close as you liked...
Completely none-the-wiser of your only half-thought out scheme, Wamuu continued. "Perhaps tomorrow we can--"
W H A C K!
Wamuu's eyes swole to an impossible size and whatever suggestion he was about to make was lost as the words got stuck in his throat.
It was only then, when you caught sight of the little red hand print that was left behind on his buttcheek, you realized to the full extent of what you had just done.
"...uh." You broke the deafening silence that had fallen between you two. "Uh-oh..."
"A charming observation, little one." He said, rising to his full height and turning to face you. The red in his cheeks made it hard to tell where the lines of his warpaint began and ended.
If you weren't fearing for your very life in that moment, you would have laughed seeing him so very embarrassed for the first time ever. Also, if you weren't so very exhausted from being tossed around like a rag doll, you would be running for the hills right now seeing the fire burning in his eyes.
"Since you have applied the knowledge of todays leason so easily, I have now decided that tomorrow we are going to be doing some very extensive training." He said, making your stomach drop as his lips slowly curled into a little smirk. "Specifically training on the art of sneak attack, since you are so very keen on it as it is..."
Oh...
You were starting to wish you had accidentally stepped on his shadow instead...
Santana:
You were starting to wonder if he forgot how to sit down, watching him stalk out of the room again barely even a minute after he entered it out just out of the corner of your eye.
You supposed you couldn't blame him however, as you were getting quite restless as well.
It was the dead of winter and of course it was very, VERY cold out. The snow had piled up so high outside there really wasn't a lot to do in the yard or the ability to go anywhere in it at that. And on top of those things to only make it worse; it was snowing again today.
Your eyes turned to the window, gazing out to the thick white out storm raging outside with no sign of stopping.
However when the storm finally stopped, which would be tomorrow at best, you planned on going outside to shovel out the driveway (for the 2nd time that week) and burn off some energy. But for now, you and your Pillarmen housemates, were stuck inside.
You knew the weather was bad when even an ultimate lifeform had no interest in going out in it.
You sighed, picking up your mug and finishing the last mouthful of your tea as you set down your book, you just couldn't seem to get into it today. You were just as bored as Santana was but you weren't driven to restlessly pacing.
Here he came again, back into the room. He was walking a little hunched over, arms loose at his sides, his face radiating with gloom and boredom. He had taken a nap already this morning and he had spent the last few hours flicking through the channels on T.V before it finally bored him enough to drive him to... this.
It made you feel a little sad to see him so very dejected.
Santana tred right up to the big window next to your chair, stopping and pressing his forehead up against the glass to watch the endless swirl of white with glazed eyes.
You smiled sadly, "Bored?" You happened to already know the answer however.
He hummed in response, his shoulders slumping visibly.
Santana wasn't very talkative on the norm but today he had barely even said one word, only worrying you further.
He stood there silently for a few minutes, watching the snow dance in crazed little circles. You hoped he would maybe go upstairs and have another nap or check in on one of the others and see what they were up to but no, poor Santana let out one more deep and heavy sigh and went right back to his restless pacing from room to room.
As you watched him depart from the livingroom (again) you decided that you had enough of this. You needed something to spur a reaction in him, which was difficult in itself.
Santana wasn't very ticklish (you had tried that before) so that was out of the question, nor did he take much interest in watching something funny online as he didn't quite understand half of the jokes and memes, there was also nothing interesting on the T.V and the signal kept fuzziness in and out due to the storm. You mulled over the very little options on what could possibly get him to cheer up or at least distract him from his pure, object boredom.
At last, that lightbulb went off over your head as he trod past you one more time.
Oh, this was bad and you knew it.
But really, you could only blame whatever outcome this would bring on your own devious curiosity.
With only a seconds hesitation, your hand outstretched and swung, just as he passed, skin hitting skin hard as hand collided with bottom.
S L A P!
Santana stopped the very second it happened, his posture suddenly making a very dramatic change as he stood as stiff as possible, some of his hair standing on end.
After a long second, he turned to look at you, puzzled and just a little wide eyed.
"What...?" Was all he could say, blinking slowly. He realized, belatedly, that you had slapped him on his rear.
Both of you stared at each other for another long moment, him staring questioningly and you sitting there, nursing your stinging hand, looking quite innocent.
Santana blinked as you started to laugh a little, his dumbfounded reaction only fueling more laughter to bubble out of you helplessly.
Mission accomplished at least, as you had now definitely distracted him from his boredom, that was for sure.
Santana put his lips together, tilting his head to the side as he pondered why you had just done that and why you were just simply laughing about it. He blinked again as specific dots connected in his head.
Where you trying to wrestle with him?
As a child, many (MANY) years ago, when he or Wamuu wanted to initiate some sort of play-fight, one of them would simply walk up to the other and give them a shove or a slap. Then, if the other was in a similar mood, the other would push or hit back and confrontation of the like would go back and forth until eventually escalating into a full on wrestling match.
A slow smile crept across his lips, making you feel a strange mixture of pure joy and overwhelming dread at the sight. Nonetheless, you clamped up and stopped laughing.
You got him to smile but the question now was, what exactly was going on in that head of his?
In a matter of seconds, he was suddenly on top of you, making you squeak in surprise. He pushed you down onto the floor, butting you softly with the two stubby horns on his head before returning the little slap you gave him on his tush to your own behind, only making you squeal at the contact.
You finally came to the realization of just what was happening, only making your smile return as your heart fluttered in excitement.
He wasn't angry, he was trying to wrestle you.
Oh, so that's how he wanted to play it, huh?
You pushed back, trying to wriggle out from under him as he kept butting his head against you. You clamored on top of him with little to no grace, "Oh, I'll show you!" You grunted, trying to butt your head against his side like he had done, making him rumble with laughter as he pushed against you.
He held back on a lot of his strength, remembering you were Human after all but indulged in pushing you down a few times, laughing even more as you cursed and grunted and wriggled as mightily as he had ever seen you do. You were thankful for all that training with Wamuu, else you probably wouldn't know the first thing about wrestling with Santana.
From the staircase, your other 3 housemates watched with some amusement, and perhaps a little surprise, as the both of you rolled and pushed and headbutted like Pillarchildren.
They honestly assumed the worst upon having heard the heavy thumps and the screams and the laughter from all the way upstairs.
Maybe snowstorms, and boring house days (and let's not forget devious curiosity), weren't so bad after all...

Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line. Then tag 10 of your favorite authors! (I always change the rules of these games. And some of these have a very short first line or I just like the entire opening, so I'll add a little more on some. Also, not tagging 10 people; if you read this and haven't done it and it sounds like fun, consider yourself tagged 🤣)

Warning Sign: How Much to Give (Whumptober ficlets): “In your dreams, Bowhead.” Dick is laughing as he backflips off the building, freefalling until the last second, when he shoots off a line, and then he’s swinging, flying to the next building, and the next.
Warning Sign: Right in Front of Me (Whumptober ficlets): “B…”
“Help is on the way. You should rest.” Bruce absolutely doesn’t let the emotion he’s feeling bleed into his voice.
Bleed.
Poor choice of words.
Especially with the pool of blood beneath them, some of it already growing cool and tacky.
Collar Me (Don't Collar Me) : The vernal equinox, marked by a full moon and clear skies for once, allows Nightwing to take full advantage of a chance to burn off some excess energy as he runs the roofs of Gotham after a quiet week, full of stakeouts and computer research. Simple leaps have added flips and turns; swings from one building to another involve far more acrobatics than is strictly necessary. He’s in the air more than on the ground and there’s a grin on his face as he flies.
Flaws: God, Dick was tired.
He wasn’t at the stage of exhaustion that came from too many days pushing through on too little sleep, not yet, but he dearly wanted a nap. And some coffee. Maybe some of Alfred’s chicken soup.
Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground: Dick took a sip from the mug beside him and wrinkled his nose. Cold again. It would do absolutely nothing for his scratchy throat. He sighed and downed it anyway, then set it among the other empty mugs scattered across the table. The kitchen was too far away. He shifted in his chair and then frowned when the thick, scratchy blanket fell away on one side. He tried to tug it back into place, but he had a stack of files in his lap and didn't want to have to bend over and retrieve them, to put them all back in order if he dropped them. It was too much effort. Had been too much for a day or two, at least. He'd just have to deal with being cold for a while longer. He needed to stay awake long enough to finish this case.
Turn, Turn, Turn: The rhythmic creaking of the gymnastic apparatus and the soft chittering of the bats were the only sounds in the cave. A wave of chaos marched across the mats towards the high bar, detailing a map across the cave floor, from one training area to another. A crumpled towel here, torn athletic tape there, too few water bottles dropped where they’d been drained.
Real Heroes: “No, absolutely not.”
“Aww, c'mon, Timmers.”
Precious Things: The night had begun as it always did. Dick had been joking, trying to lighten the tension as the final touches appeared on their uniforms. Equipment had been given final inspections. Masks and cowls had been donned. Gloves had been pulled on. Familiar. Ritual. And his banter had kept it from becoming too much, too serious.
It's Been Awhile: Dick stretched and winced, scowling and blinking at the sun angling its relentless way through the slats in the blinds of his livingroom window. He supposed it was his own fault he was awake, now. He should have moved from the couch and slept in his bed the night before, in his bedroom with the blackout curtains that let him sleep no matter how sunshiny and bright the day outside. He'd been sore the night before and hadn't wanted to move after dinner, though.
Looks like my only similarity in opening paragraphs is hurting Dick 🤣

GET OUT
Author Note- **So originally last month I posted this on my old blog, but that one had so many bugs (I couldn't message, my tags never worked) so no one ever saw it :( So now with my new account I'm posting it again. My first writing in years, so sorry if it's trash. I've been thinking alot lately and I wanna try my hand at writing again..so if you have any headcannon requests or blurb requests please send me an ask :) also this is all in my phone since I have no working computer at the moment, so I apologize for any grammatical errors or otherwise. Thanks for reading please send me some ideas or prompts, I've always want to try headcanons so that could be fun! I love you all!!
Being 7 months pregnant with the next heir to the Shepherd family should have been fairly easy. You and Duncan had gotten engaged during a trip to Italy last year, but the wedding was put on hault when your soon to be mother in law thought she spotted a bump during a dress fitting. Like many things in life Annette was right about this as well. She would finally be a grandmother, and you and Duncan would be parents. Despite what some may think Annette was thrilled, she had always like you and learning you were now carrying her grandchild only heightened her excitement. Duncan was also excited, in the beginning, but it seemed as time went on he became more distant. Was he worried of being a parent? Fearful of being an awful father after years of have no positive male figures in his life? Or was it you, was it the weight gain? Lack of a sexual appetite? Mood swings? Lack of energy? You had no idea, until you hear his phone vibrate on the coffee table.
You had been sitting on the plush couch in the highrise appartment you and Duncan had shared for 3 years. Some Netflix show played as background sound while you read your book. Duncan had gone to shower, he had a buisness dinner to attend and after an awful bout of sickness earlier in the day he insisted you stay home. You had been feeling better, until his phone vibrated on the coffee table. Assuming it was Annette you reached for his phone and were hit with a wave a nausea no pregnancy could provide.
Cecile: "Can't wait to see you later!😮🍑🍆❤"
Attempting to compose yourself you called the one person you could think to before you broke down.
Storming into your shared master bath you threw open the shower door. "Woah, honey whats wrong?" Duncan jumped back trying to sheild himself from the cool breeze. You thrust your arm forward, Duncan's phone in hand. "What the fuck is this?" Trying to keep calm was not going well as you felt yourself grinding your teeth. "I don't know," Duncan tried to feign innocence, "wrong number?" "Oh really? Duncan do you think I'm an idiot?" You voice begin rising, "A whole tread of wrong number messages, that you've replied to.." You scrolled through the messages while talking, "Oh and whats this? A dick pic? Oh ya that's definitely you.." "Babe," Duncan quietly tried to reach forward in an attempt to calm you. "Do NOT call me BABE!" You scream and with full force threw Duncan's phone into the shower watching it shatter at his feet. With the breaking of the phone something in you broke as well. A flood of tears finally came crashing down your face. With a choked sob you spoke again. "Get out. Get out of my house." At this point Duncan had shut off the water and had a towel wrapped around himself. "Y/N, what are you talking about I can't just leave, it's my house. Its in my name." You forced out a fake laugh. "You know Duncan, it's actually not under your name. It's actually under your mom's, and you know me and Annette just had the best little talk." She watched as Duncan's face began to pale. "Duncan please get your things and leave before I need to call security and have you escorted out. And don't bother with you key, Annette's getting the locks changed." "Y/N, no, please. I'm sorry okay, I'm sorry. " Tears began to seep from Duncan's eyes and he pleaded with you. "I can't live without you. Please we have a baby coming, don't punish our child for my mistake." "I'm not punishing our child, if you were so worried about that maybe you should have kept your dick in your pants. Now please go." You crossed your arms and wandered to the livingroom window. Duncan followed you still pleading. "What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go, Y/N?" "I don't know Duncan, why don't you stay with Cecile? Just please get the fuck out of my house!" You didn't look at him. You were mentally and physically drained. Duncan wandered away to clothe himself and pack a suitcase. As he came back into to the living room and looked at you, he didn't know what to say. What could he say? Nothing could fix what he'd done, so at that moment he said nothing. He just turned and left, shutting their appartment door behind him. Once you heard the door shut, you broke down. Your body slumped to the floor and you sobbed. Body wreaking, chest pinching, gasping for air sobs. You stayed their, no engery or will to move, until finally your crys lulled you to sleep on the living room floor.

What a year
2020 was..
The last time I wrote anything it was April, and now it is the 23rd of December and I’m about to go spend Christmas with my family. My last failed attempt at christmas bread is in the oven (for some reason it didn’t proof at all, I guess I put too much flour in..) and I’m cooking up some Christmas porridge on the stove. Watch me burn that in a moment too.. For some reason this whole autumn has been a very stressful disaster. I am still working from home and just logged myself off of work until the 7th of January 2021. Maybe because I’ve been working from home it feels difficult to get into holiday mode. At least we got some snow today so it looks beautiful.
Spring and summer 2020 were an absolute dream! With no responsibilities and the possibility to work from anywhere I got to spend so much time with my family and at our summer house away from the stress of the real world. I could not have dreamt of a better summer, and apart from strawberry picking (at an actual farm, not just from my own strawberry plants) I got to finish off my summer’s to-do list. I even made a cute little summer video with my old Canon EOS 100D (yes - I have a new Canon EOS 90D now!). Endless days of exploration, swimming, biking, sauna, gardening, having lunch with the midsummer roses, baking rhubarb galettes with my own rhubarb from the garden, biking to the ice cream van, SUP-boarding with dad and spending so much time outdoors made me happier than I could ever be. I cannot believe how many beautiful things COVID has given me despite it’s awful impact on the world.
The start of the autumn semester was chaotic to say the least. Practically all of our system integrations are behind one developer, and he happened to be on vacation when everything went down, and study rights did not transfer correctly. This lead to an insane rush of support requests across the board, and lots of extra stress. I was exhausted and scared after last autumn’s disasters and definitely didn’t need another one to start the new semester. I’m starting to seriously fear August... Other universities have tens of people in their technical support, and we have TWO (sometimes 3). In more positive news I was given a permanent job contract starting August, which was amazing, and makes me so grateful especially during a year when many lose their jobs and get laid off. I guess that also contributes to my levels of stress as I cannot hide behind “I just work here for another few months”, but I have to actually take responsibility and ownership as a permanent team member.
Basically a lot of things escalated at work this autumn because our entire staff is way over burdened with COVID changes and the systems not working in an ideal fashion. Because our organisation does not have clear and defined process ownerships many changes come alongside the implementation of new systems, which puts me as a system admin (and not a process expert) in an awkward position. Hopefully our organisation will be able to develop and reconfigure responsibilities with some outside help, but for some reason my hopes aren’t very high.. All in all the anger and frustration of the organisation has been reflecting on the way people treat us and each other and as an empath it has been very exhausting. Luckily my new team is amazing and I’m having so much fun working with them - even though we aren’t physically working together at the office. I cannot imagine how it would be if my previous colleague hadn’t left. I hope she is happy and thriving as well!
All in all what got me through the autumn was the fact that I got to work from home. Being able to take a 10-15 minute nap when things got overwhelming pretty much saved me. Also the fact that I can wear whatever, make tea or snacks whenever I need to and don’t have to spend time moving from one location to the other. My guy got his own computer desk and a proper chair, and we’ve both been working from our very crammed but cozy livingroom. Even though our hobbies have been on and off I’ve gotten a few moments to myself and have also gotten used to doing my thing even though he is always here. No big relationship drama apart from the occasional little argument.
Ballet and body combat got to continue in person for most of the season. The last couple of weeks of ballet classes were on Teams, and the last body combat class was on Facebook with the season ending a couple of weeks early, but other than that having hobbies outside the house definitely helped. I have also loved having my ballet friend stay home instead of studying abroad. Obviously it sucks for her because it has meant a lot of changes to her plans, but I’ve needed her so much, and enjoyed our walks, hanging out together, going to ballet and the hours we spent outside talking on our way back. Ballet classes have been pretty easy as we only go to pointe and adult classes, but at least we are having fun together, and I like to somewhat maintain my skills even though I am not improving by miles. It’s also easier for the body as I’m definitely no longer a teenager. Starting next year we’ll have a fancy new studio!
After the relaxing summer it has definitely felt like I don’t have enough hours in a day or days in a week to do everything I need to. I cannot believe how I used to do all this and so much more pre-COVID but I guess it’s all because Animal Crossing didn’t take anywhere between 30 minutes to 5-8 hours a day. Oops. Needless to say I have been loving ACNH even though the Halloween and Turkey Day events were a bit too easy compared to New Leaf. I have high hopes for Toy Day tomorrow (YIKES! TOMORROW?) even though I haven’t had to go through the usual process of noting down all my villagers’ wishes, which I definitely miss. I am sad the diy recipe RNG has been so bad though. I’ve spent a couple of days spawning balloons on my beach, and never got the big Christmas tree diy in time. Maybe I’ll get it tonight but it’s definitely too late for this year.. Maybe next year then. I didn’t struggle this much with the maple and mush series diys..
So yeah, last summer me and my friend finished our old photography project and I edited the last sets of photos to give the finished book for her as a Christmas present. I love the project a lot because the learning curve is so apparent between photoshoots, and I found my “style” throughout the process. My EOS 100D started to get weird electronical bugs and definitely wasn’t running very well anymore, so after insane amounts of research I decided to get the EOS 90D from a Black Friday sale. I still need a memory card and a new camera bag for it since it’s so much bigger, but I’ve already planned out some future photoshoots and the theme of the new project, which can be described as “Adventure”, “Expedition” or “Discovery”. I just hope my friend will have time to model for me because I’m yearning to go try my new camera out.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a friend couple who started dating a week after we did. We took an extended weekend trip to a national park, a spa and a rental cabin. It was so much fun and a very special way to celebrate 10 years together. Especially with an exceptional year like this one has been.
Yesterday me and mum went to granny and grandpa’s place to help with the last of their Christmas preparations, take over some food and sing Christmas songs. I took our old piano book with me and mum played the piano while we sang. Grandpa got teary eyed during a special song and it was so incredibly bittersweet. I don’t want to lose my grandparents but I know it won’t be long since they are both approaching 100 years. I am so thankful for them, and for the time I’ve gotten to spend with them. I just wish I could remember more of it. It seems so unfair that we never have enough time with all our loved ones, and there are so many childhood memories other people remember that I don’t. I wish I could go back in time and observe myself spending time with my grandparents to memorise everything. If I ever have children I’m going to take so many photos and videos to preserve as much as I can for them.
In my post from April I wrote that I had been looking at houses and vacant lots. Well, the house of a childhood friend of mine is listed and I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve arranged my mortgage and left an offer. The sellers didn’t accept my first offer so now I’m going to see the house again on the 30th to see if it’s wort raising my offer. I like the house but it’s definitely a bit inconvenient as it is a 3 storey house and way too big and expensive for our current needs. I just really like the area and it is one of the best houses in that neighborhood. I’m going to let things progress naturally though, and if I end up with the house then it was meant to be. If someone else makes a higher offer I won’t be upset either since we have no immediate need to move. It’s just a bit crammed in our current apartment and I would definitely like to have an actual office for my photography equipment, and a sewing machine/crafting space.
Looks like my christmas bread cracked pretty badly but at least it rose a little in the oven.. Hopefully it is edible. At least the one I made for granny and grandpa turned out better.. Time to go scarf down the last of my porridge (which I didn’t burn by the way!) and then try to get all my stuff over to mum and dad’s place. Christmas preparations this year have been crazy busy and I definitely regret not being able to enjoy the season enough but hopefully I’ll get more in the spirit tonight. I’m really happy with the gifts I got mum, dad and my guy this year (online and early in October/November to avoid the rush).
I’m hoping to make a new year’s post on here as well either before 2021 or during the first week. I just like writing things down so that I can look back on where I’ve been. :)
Happy holidays whether you’re spending them with your loved ones (in real life or through a video call) or alone.

👀 Oh hey bro. I was wondering if you could possibly analyze me. Whatever section(s) you want!! You know me and can see what I told Tobes but I’ll say some fun facts?? I foster kittens in my free time, love staying up late, and have a thing where I start dancing with a blank face in the corner of my friends’ vision to make them laugh. I know sign language and (still) drink too much coffee.
(Only did the Pokemon and Homestuck ones, if that’s okay!)
- A Pokemon team/type theme (+ fun facts abt your team!)
You’d have a team full of psychic types - mostly the very brainy ones!
Your main Pokemon is Reuniclus, but your team also consists of Alakazam, Beldum, Bronzong, Beeheeyem, and Grumpig!
Fun facts!
Reuniclus loves to give hugs. It’s a hugging fiend, in all honesty! The only problem is sometimes it forgets its own strength, and you have to try and extract it from people before they get hurt. It doesn’t mean to, though!
Alakazam just kind of... showed up one day? You don’t know where it came from or why it stayed, but it listens to you when you ramble on about your theories and even helps you find ancient books that help confirm or deny them, so you really don’t mind.
Beldum and Bronzong you got together! They’re kind of weird, admittedly, because despite being inanimate object-based Pokemon, they almost act like cats? You’ve gotten dead-leg from them both before when they’ve settled down on your thighs for pets. You never have the heart to make them move.
Beeheeyem you got from a friend! Your theorist buddy caught one and gave it to you, saying it reminded them of you. You’re not sure if it’s an insult or not, but it’s friendly enough, and you’re even starting to decode what the flashing of its fingertips mean!
Grumpig likes to dance with you! You and it tend to dance together to make people laugh, though it sometimes gets annoyed if it doesn’t work.
- Bloodcaste/lusus/chumhandle as if you were a Homestuck troll (+lore)
You’re an indigoblood with a sphinx cat lusus! Your chumhandle is classifiedCranium.
You live in a hivestem with a bunch of other highbloods, settled somewhere around the 5th floor. You don’t really like living there, all things considered, but after an unfortunate accident (read: you blew up your house), it was the best you could find. You don’t agree with a lot of what your caste says, so you tend to keep to yourself in your apartment - which is pretty sweet, actually, considering it’s just a huge space with a kitchen that opens out into a livingroom, with a bedroom off to one side and a bathroom joined onto it. You have an entire library lining one wall of the livingroom, along with a bunch of books, gamegrubs, and DVDs. On the other side, taking up most of the wall itself, is a giant TV that practically looms over the triple-sofa-setup you have going on. You have an even bigger library on the TV, which is even hooked up to act as a computer when you activate the holopad.
Being highclass has its benefits. You just really wish it didnt also come with the nosey neighbours constantly trying to exploit your weaknesses so they can kill you and take all your shit. Luckily, you’re pretty good at playing games. After the last attempt (read: explosions), nobody really tries to bother you anymore.
You like to study medicine with the dream of one day becoming a doctor of some sort. Like, a real one, not the ones where they just kind of kill more people than they save. It’s something the other highbloods don’t really understand, but you don’t care, because you also like to study the brain and pick apart what makes people tick, and you know they’re narcassistic, potentially psychopathic assholes anyway. They’re good experiments for you, though you SWEAR you don’t mean that as badly as you say it! You just like testing out potentials with them, like if using one psychological argument appeals to them over another, or if one thing incites them while another calms them. You’ve gotten pretty good at winning arguments like that! You’ve also almost lost your head a few times. It’s... a work in progress.
On the side, you like to spend time actually helping lowbloods. You’re not great at it yet, but you know enough medicine to help them with cuts and bruises, and with the sicknesses that the usual doctors would just kill them for having. You’re pretty good at helping their lusii, too! They like to give you things as a result, little trinkets and oddities that you collect and put up on a shelf on your wall. It’s nice, to be appreciated, even if you don’t ask for it.
You have a bunch of friends online who like to encourage your frantic analyses. You and another tend to go on wild rambles about all sorts of things, going back and forth for hours until someone manages to calm you both down or until you eventually drag everyone else into it. You’ve made entire UNIVERSES with your friends this way, and it’s been a blast from the start! You think you’ve come out from your shell a little since you got to know them - a lot bolder, a lot more firm in your own stances - and you’ve even started to draw more, too. It’s fun, creating with them. Sometimes you wait impatiently to see what they’ll be creating next.
You have a slight caffeine addiction that keeps you up at night, but that’s okay, you figure. It means you get to catch up on all the things you were too busy during the day to do - such as reading, watching shows you’re behind on, and researching things one of your friends brought up. There’s a bunch of content that you’re lagging on, but you’ve got basically all night to get through it. It’s worth it, too; you end up with a thousand more ideas to share in the morning on a caffeine-induced high!
Your lusus is kind of a weird size, if you’re completely honest. They’re not the biggest you’ve ever seen a cat lusus be, but they’re probably up to your knees? They like to curl up on your lap - even though they’re a bit too big for it - and demand scratches, and don’t really do much else even though you’re PRETTY sure you have a lususflap in the back door. They’re a little lazy like that, but that’s okay. You adore them, and they love you enough to bring you back snacks the few times they do go out, so it works.
- Symbol/guardian/chumhandle as if you were a Homestuck kid (+lore)
Your symbol is a fountain pen with an ink splot beneath it, and your guardian is your grandpa! Your chumhandle is cerebralCounterfeit.
You and your grandpa live in a pretty simple suburban house in what is otherwise seen as a ghosttown. There’s not actually that many people who live here, and those who do are pretty much too stubborn to leave even though there’s no viable jobs and no up-to-date laws. It even still has a sheriff. And a western-style jail. That said, what with your grandpa’s condition, you basically get free reign of the entire upstairs of the house (including the attic, which is filled with weird artefacts and books that you’re pretty sure have been banned in most countries), and can haul all of your weird interests up into your room without issue.
You like to study medicine and the brain, to really pick it apart and understand it and figure out what makes people Like That. You’ve got books upon books about it, some of which you only kind of barely understand, a lot of which are really dry and boring, but you’ve figured out ways to keep it fun! And you’re learning more and more as the days go by, so you think you’re making progress. You’re really good at figuring out what makes people tick, anyway, and at settling arguments - and with all your studying on medicine, you’ve gotten good at helping out the local animals! Your guardian won’t let you actually help people, so you’ve settled for this instead - at least for now.
As a result of this, your house kind of looks like a zoo. There are healing birds and a litter of bunnies with their mom in the living room, and a bunch of kittens that you’ve fostered (which you’ve given the run of your room, plus a cattio attached to your window - which they love!). You get visits every now and then from the fox you helped untangle from a plastic sack, and hedgehogs like to come to your back door for treats. You feel a little like Doctor Doolittle!
You love spending time with your friends. Every moment that you can, you’re on your phone, or your laptop, frantically typing out responses to everything they’ve sent while you were asleep. Sometimes it’s fanciful - ideas of the lot of you spending time together, of being in cartoons and comics and books - and sometimes it’s more wordy - theories you share that go a little off the rails if you’re not careful - but it’s always, always fun. And, of course, sometimes you realise that you share more fandoms than you think - and that just starts a whole NEW ramble session that riles everyone up and sets the chat on fire for the next few hours.
The only downside, of course, is that they’re aware of your caffeine addiction, and how late you stay up at night. It’s become kind of a joke for you all, more than anything, and it’s nice in its own way. You know they do it because they care about you. So, you try to be there for them, too; a stable, grounding force capable of taking anything!
Sometimes, you go outside just before the sun starts to rise over the horizon. It’s usually only on days where you couldn’t sleep - either because you woke up and couldn’t drift off again, or because you drank too much coffee and just didn’t sleep at all - but you sit out on the steps of the sheriff’s office, a cup of coffee in your hand, and try to ignore the wails of ghosts that call to you from the jails behind as you watch the sunrise.

Shooting for Stars: Chapter 2
Summary:
Hyuna Lee just started college, and while procrastinating decided to give a popular MMO called LOLOL a try. Here she will meet new friends, battle monsters, part takes in epic quests, and potentially find love!
Most of this will take place in LOLOL at the beginning.
This takes place a year/ year and a half after Seven’s good end, and the secret endings. Yoosung x OC
**Update’s once a week** Chapter word count: 4408
Smut in later chapters, of course Shooting For Stars: Chapter 1 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The day seemed to keep dragging on and on. A certain University student sat in a lecture dozing off. Maybe he should have logged off when Sapfyre had. His purple irises where bloodshot from the two hours of sleep he did manage to get. His lids were heavy as he rested his chin in his palm attempting to focus on what the Professor was saying. Knowing he had a quiz at the end of the week, and the professor had promised all they had to do was show up and pay attention to pass. However, it was getting harder and harder to keep his eyes open. One of his classmates had kicked his chair trying to keep him alert, the action made him blush as he dopily stared at the front of the room. You’d think he would have learned his lesson time after time again he ended up staying up all night playing LOLOL.
The bottle-blond thought back to last night and the newbie he had managed to befriend. They were nice, extremely noobish, but they had fun. He smiled to himself remembering the promise to meet up again tonight. They had managed to raise at least 9 levels and they had chosen the cleric class as promised. Yoosung was overjoyed to know he might be able to get a half-decent healer for the guild as he helped the newcomer practice the craft of the game. The gamer couldn’t help but think of all the things he could do to help his newest party member advance in the game.
His classmate kicked his chair again and he glared over to him, annoyed that he was constantly being pulled away from his thoughts. Truthfully he just couldn’t wait to get home and log onto LOLOL. Sapfyre said they were a student and they were in the same timezone, most likely had day class’s if the panic about their project that was due was any indicator. Meaning they would most likely log in at the same time as him, or a little after. Yoosung hasn’t felt this excited over a new person since Mi-Cha came crashing into the RFA messenger a little over a year ago. It made his chest kind of ticklish, which was weird. There was a very high chance Sapfyre was another dude on the other side, and possibly underage too. Yoosung groaned rubbing his dry eyes trying to calm his inner musing and push thoughts away. How desperate is he becoming?
Sighing softly to himself he decided maybe overthinking last night’s LOLOL encounter was a bad idea. He was just lonely, and watching two of his friends fall in love over messages and eventually get married in the same year had his chest twisting with a sense of jealousy. Sure he was happy for them, of course, he supported them. It was as an onlooker with no romantic history that made him envious of their partnership. Seeing his best friend so happy, and the way Saeyoung and Mi-Cha just seem to get each other. They fought for one another, faced every challenge as a team. It was a really beautiful relationship.
He wanted what they had.
He wanted it badly.
Eventually, classes concluded for the day and Yoosung felt full of energy all of a sudden. He hadn’t taken in anything the professors had attempted to teach him. Mentally he questioned why he was even bothering with university then his mother’s face flashed behind his eyelids. Ya, she would have been pissed if he just up and quit school. Though after everything that has taken place he honestly debated changing his major. He only had two years left, it would be like starting all over.
On his walk back to his dorm room with a meal from the convenient store, his mind wandered to Rika. Zen and himself had shipped her away to Alaska, trying to save her from both Jumin and Saeyoung’s rath. It was a foolish move as more and more truth about her illegal activity came to light. After Saeran opened up to the abuse he endured under her. Yet, someone boyish part of him still didn’t want Rika to suffer, he wanted her to get better. He wanted his cousin back. Only he seemed to be the only one in the RFA that gave a damn about Rika’s recovery.
Yoosung let out a sigh as he unlocked the door leading into his dorm room. His violet eyes scanned his livingroom and frowned. “It’s pretty lonely.” He whispered to himself as he dropped his school bag on the couch and made his way to his bedroom. On instinct, he sat at his computer and booted it up. He opened his store-bought sushi and began to nibble it as his hindows ran an update check before booting up his desktop. He had LOLOL set to automatically load once the computer came to life. The icon showed a loading hourglass and then the main screen loaded up with the daily newsletter. Yoosung took a moment to read it over not noticing anything interesting and logged his tank up.
The first thing he did was claim his daily bonus and check his friend’s list. Saeyoung and Mi-Cha where online in some dungeon. He smiled hoping they married couple was enjoying their time playing games with one another. Saeran didn’t appear to be online, and Yoosung wondered what the younger twin could be up too if his brother and sister in law were actively playing games. He scrolled noticing that Sapfyre hadn’t logged in since they said goodnight last night. He sighed putting more food in his mouth as he got a bunch of party requests from random players. He declined them all and idled himself.
Yoosung chewed and check his phone noticing a miss call from Zen and rolling his eyes. He had a few emails about possible party guests for the next RFA party. He took a moment to look at them before forwarding them to Mi-Cha. She handled the rest from there. Jaehee, Zen and Jumin were all active in a chatroom. Yoosung cringed wondering if he should go be a cushion for Jaehee knowing the men in the room were most likely arguing and her trying to keep them on track.
As his thumb hovered over the enter chatroom icon and notification popped up on his monitor. His eyes read over it and smiled. There was Sapfyre, they must have just gotten home from school. He closed the RFA app and silenced his phone. He shoved the rest of his food into his mouth as he opened his private messages with the newbie.
SupermanYoosung★: Hiya!
SupermanYoosung★: Ready for more dungeon crawling?
Nervously he chewed on the pad of his thumb waiting for the stranger to reply to him. After all, it was coming home and playing with this person that had gotten throughout his day. He didn’t want to come across clingy though. After a small intervention involving Saeyoung and Zen, he had realized that his problem was that he was a stage five clinger. Sighing with a blush dusting his checks he waited patiently for them to reply.
‘Plus this person was most likely a guy’ He reminded himself and thought of his guild member’s horror stories about being catfished on the site.
Sapfyre: Oh Hey You~
Sapfyre: Haha I’m up for more!
Sapfyre: The monsters will have no idea what hit them when SupermanYoosung is through with them!
Yoosung smiled, really wishing this person owned a headset. He was curious about what they sounded like. They wrote in a manner that was similar to Mi-Cha but that didn’t mean anything. Maybe they were just feminine, maybe they are playing to role play like a girl. It wasn’t uncommon for members to role play out relationships and the such on here. The game even offered and marriage system for such a thing. It was diverse in how a player would like to spend their time within it’s the massive world.
SupermanYoosung★: Hell ya!
SupermanYoosung★: We should be able to pick your class today, you’re almost level 10!
Sapfyre: Only thanks to you!
Sapfyre: Honestly if I had been left to my own devices last night I wouldn’t even be close to level 10!
Sapfyre: So thank you!
Yoosung chuckled liking the attention and praise.
SupermanYoosung★: no thanks is needed ^^
SupermanYoosung★: I’m having a lot of fun playing with you!
SupermanYoosung★: I’ll create a party, one sec.
He swiftly invited his new friend to make a party with him. He waited for her to join as he organized his inventory.
Sapfyre: One of these days I’ll figure out how to do this
And just like that their avatars where linked together. Yoosung couldn’t help the way his heart pittered. He really needed to get a hold on himself and remind himself that the other player was, in fact, a dude. Not that Yoosung was personally offended by same-sex relationships, he just wasn’t interested in starting anything with another dude.
“Really wish they had a mic so my brain could stop thinking about this too much.” Yoosung wished to himself, readjusting his hairpins to push his bang out of his face more.
SupermanYoosung★: Until that fateful day I got you covered.
Sapfyre: My hero lol
Yoosung began preparing for their next quest, he knew of a couple they could pair off with and each get the exp. Simple missions that involved them slaying a certain number of minor enemies and such. He was also going to get them to up their cooking and fishing skills so she could brew their own potions. How useful support was in actuality and a money saver.
SupermanYoosung★: First I’ll bring us to a place where we can fish. I’ll just hand you over what I catch. Then you can cook them all to build those skills.
Sapfyre: Aye Aye Captain!
Yoosung chuckled as his eyes lit up.
SupermanYoosung★: Sorry if it seemed like I’m bossing you around ^^;;
SupermanYoosung★: It just helps the arch maester class brew potions and buffs.
Sapfyre: Oooh that sounds cool.
Sapfyre: Don’t worry about bossing me around~
‘How suggestive’ Yoosung pondered biting his lip before teleporting them to the fishing island. There he quested an item share and handed them a nice fishing rod that wouldn’t break every five seconds. Then they got to work. Since it was a pretty basic automatic action he wanted to take this chance to get to know them better.
SupermanYoosung★: This might take a while.
SupermanYoosung★: So you mentioned you’re a student. What are you studying?
Sapfyre: Wow this is really a grind, huh?
Sapfyre: I’m an art and digital design student.
Sapfyre: Nothing too exciting, what are you studying?
SupermanYoosung★: I’m in training to be a vet ^^;
SupermanYoosung★: sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice for myself
Sapfyre: A vet? You must be pretty smart then.
Sapfyre: I think we all doubt our educational choices.
Sapfyre: isn’t that what being a student is all about? Being unsure about our future and trying to make sure we make the right decisions?
Sapfyre: If you’re passionate about animal’s you could make all the difference one day ^^
Yoosung blushed nearly crimson reading their messages. No one had ever sided with him and his doubts. Maybe they were feeling it too. Art wasn’t something that guaranteed a job in the future and was hard to get noticed in.
Sapfyre: If anything you could just transfer to human medicine. It’s all under the biology major, is it not?
He hadn’t even thought of that possibility. Indeed, he could just transfer and just suck up an extra year of school. SKY university did offer an internship program after the medical exams. Yoosung bit his thumb pondering the possibility.
SupermanYoosung★: I hadn’t thought of that
SupermanYoosung★: ahaha
SupermanYoosung★: My friends usually just tell me to suck it up and get school over with.
SupermanYoosung★: That I should just be anxious about finding employment.
Sapfyre: What's the point of working in a career you have no passion for?
SupermanYoosung★: Are you passionate about art?
Sapfyre: Hahaha
Sapfyre: Yes! Art is the main thing that gives me a drive every day!
Sapfyre: Even if my father thinks it’s a waste of my time and future, I’m going to pursue it.
Sapfyre: Maybe instead of listening to others, you should listen to the drive within you. Find something you’re passionate about.
Sapfyre: A vet’s good if you really like animals. A doctor or surgeon is good if you like helping people.
SupermanYoosung★: I might just do that!
SupermanYoosung★: wow- I didn’t mean to get so serious on you like that.
Sapfyre: It’s fine.
Sapfyre: We are going to be fishing for a while.
Sapfyre: And I’d never get mad at someone for voicing their insecurities.
SupermanYoosung★: You’re a really cool person
SupermanYoosung★: But let's get off the heavy topics
Sapfyre: Hmmmm
Sapfyre: How long have you been playing LOLOL
Yoosung frowned, at least they didn't ask how much he plays.
SupermanYoosung★: a little over 2 years
SupermanYoosung★: A friend of mine downloaded it for me, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Sapfyre: I’ll confess this is more addictive than it has any business being.
SupermanYoosung★: Welcome to LOLOL hell I hope you enjoy your stay~
Sapfyre: Ahaha thank you
Sapfyre: I think it might just be the company >-<
Yoosung felt his ear burning. He couldn’t help but agree with them, but at the same time, he wanted to approach this budding friendship with caution. He’d never hear the end of it if Saeyoung finds out he was catfished. Or potentially catfished. The student willed his mind to get it together, they weren’t even flirting with him, he was just lonely and desperate at the moment. That was logical. He’d just play it cool.
Some Time passed and Sapfyre got a headway into fishing and cooking. An hour had passed since they logged on and talked about pointless things like the latest RPG and anime. Yoosung could very easily see himself being friends with this guy in real life. They had many similar interests. He found himself laughing at some of the corny jokes they made too. Like actually laughing out loud.
Now they were gearing up to head into a dungeon. Saeyoung had sent him a private message, but the gamer ignored it in favor of getting Sapfyre set up for more monster hunting. Once again the crawling was slow due to him having to fall back to type commands for his companion. He really wishes they would get a headset to make this more swift, and also so they could actively chat more.
Sapfyre had reached level 10 and they had a long debate on the best support healing class for them. Arche Master won healing spells and potion brewing. Just as Yoosung had hoped they’d choose.
As he was about to wrap them a voice chat request from Saeran popped up. Yoosung groaned, he didn’t even see him log in. He pardoned himself for a moment and plugged in his headset. He accepted his friends' request, typing to Sapfyre he’ll be a moment.
“Hey.” Yoosung said eyeing the little ‘take your time’ from his new friend.
“So you ignore my brother, but talk to me?” Saeran questioned, even Yoosung could hear the smirk in his voice.
“You’re the lesser of the two evils,” Yoosung explained sighing, explaining to Sapfyre he was just setting up his headset to chat with another player before warping them to the first location for a low-level quest. “Anyways what's up?”
Saeran was silent for a moment. “What are you doing in such a beginner level area?” he questioned and Yoosung rolled his eyes.
“I met someone new to the server yesterday, I’m raising myself an Arche Master.” He chuckled gloating.
“How the hell did you seduce- Sap-fire? Into becoming a support class for you?” Saeran asked trying to figure out if he was pronouncing the username correctly. Yoosung honestly didn’t know if that's how you say it, but it was as good a guess as to his.
“Haha~” Yoosung let out a boyish giggle and then lowered his voice. “I know how to get around Saeran. Why you jealous I’m gonna have myself an amazing support!”
“Sure.” Saeran sighed the sound of his keyboard being typed on made its way into the mic. “Itll benefit our guild over Mi-Cha’s and my idiot brothers.”
“That’s true.” Yoosung hummed replying to Sapfyre quickly as he sent his avatar charging into an assault.
“Don’t tell me they are a typer-” Saeran asked in mock horror at the implication.
“Ya, but it’s not their fault.” Yoosung defended his new friend. “They are a student like me, and literally just started LOLOL yesterday.”
Saeran groaned anyway. The faint sounds of Mi-Cha hissing something to her husband were heard in the background. Yoosung let out an amused poof of air wondering what Saeyoung did now to get her riled up like that.
“Do they always have to be so loud?” Saeran whispered his complaint and Yoosung chuckled under his breath. “So I take it you’ll be busy for awhile helping that person with leveling?”
“Ya.” The gamer replied typing to Sapfyre about their next mission swiftly. “It’s gonna take a bit more time given we have to type to one another until they can get a headset.”
“Fine.” Saeran murmured. “I’ll just go sell goods and mine while you help the noob.”
“Sounds good,” Yoosung replied. Saeran made a noise and their line disconnected. He wasn’t much of a talker, unless it was necessary as Yoosung found out over the year of knowing him.
SupermanYoosung★: There is glow mushrooms in this cave
Sapfyre: Ooooooh sounds fancy~
SupermanYoosung★: Ahaha they look really pretty!
SupermanYoosung★: Only problem is-
SupermanYoosung★: This is the only place to farm them and it’s a level 45 dungeon.
At that moment he wished he would’ve asked Saeran for help. There was a certain random spawn for a level 98 dragon event happening in that dungeon. The dragon looked sick though, with the mushrooms growing off his body, but he was a bitch to face.
Sapfyre: I’ll try my best to give you back up!
SupermanYoosung★: We got this >-<
SupermanYoosung★: Nothing can stand in this duo’s way!
SupermanYoosung★: Let’s just pray the level 98 dragon doesn’t spawn
He pressed teleport and warped them inside the entrance of the cave.
Sapfyre: hahaha
Sapfyre: hahaha level 98 dragon in a level 45 dungeon.
Sapfyre: You’re trolling me, right?
Yoosung chuckled. He wishes he were, but they needed that glow mushroom for a revival potion with a 5% brew success rate. Meaning they’d be here for a while. If he got lucky maybe one of his friends would see where he was and come help. If not they would have to hope for the best.
SupermanYoosung★: Don’t worry~
SupermanYoosung★: There is only a 28% chance he’ll spawn.
An almost daring smirk crossed the gamer's lips as he sent both their avatar rushing into the depth of the dungeon. Sapfyre was being cute thinking every droplet sound effect was the dragon spawning. However, as of right now they’d be okay. It wasn’t until the last 5 levels of the dungeon did it ever spawn.
Sapfyre: This is a suicide mission!
SupermanYoosung★: Naw, I’ve only faced him once and that was after multiple times looking for him.
Sapfyre’s avatar was farming mushroom’s and Yoosung was fending off monsters. It moved quicker with them both focusing on a task. Surprisingly they were making headway pretty quickly within the dungeon.
After some time he saw Saeran’s avatar spawn in with them, and Yoosung chuckled feeling like a kid caught with a hand in the cookie jar. In the world chat, Saeran sent numerous question marks and Yoosung sent some back. Soon after Saeran asked to join their party and Yoosung accepted. It automatically created a separate group chat for the team.
Sapfyre: Oh hey! Someone new!
SupermanYoosung★: This is a friend of mine. Seems he’s just as nervous about us running into the Shroom Dragon as you are.
Sapfyre: I told you!
Sapfyre: This is a suicide mission!
UnknownUserName: What do you think you’re doing ^^
SupermanYoosung★: Making revival potions
Sapfyre: Trying to get us killed!
Sapfyre: Oh more mushrooms!
Yoosung smiled watching her run towards the farm point and start gathering more of the precious material. Both Saeran and himself fended off the monsters spawning around them. Saeran was a ranged character opting for a longbow. He still hit hard though. They always made a good team.
Sapfyre: Go boys go!
SupermanYoosung★: Whoooooo!
Sapfyre made her Avatar do a cheering motion as they fought off the critters that were mostly child's play to him and Saeran. Soon enough they all collected up again and moved further within the cave.
SupermanYoosung★: The moment of truth boys
SupermanYoosung★: May we proceed to victory
Sapfyre: ????
UnknownUserName: It spawns in the last 5 levels
Sapfyre: You mean I was jumping at every little sound for nothing this whole time!
UnknownUserName: Apparently
Sapfyre: Yoosung you god damn troll!
SupermanYoosung★: Thought I mentioned
UnknownUserName: Sure.
Yoosung chuckled, a little disappointed they newcomer didn’t react to him referring to them all being boys. He sighed resolving himself into finally believing they were, in fact, a dude with a cute Avatar. There was no denying the disappointment he felt. At least the connection they had made could be swayed towards a friendship. Yoosung smiled sadly to himself, mentally scolding himself for being so desperate for a girlfriend again.
The team proceeded with extreme caution. Yoosung had his headphones on with the volume at a punishing high listening for any telltale signs they were not alone. Even his breathing mellowed out as his heart hammered in his chest. It was exhilarating sneaking about trying to get to the loot at the end of the cove.
Soon enough he saw two more Avatars run unto the screen. They requested to join the party and Yoosung let out a slow breath of relief. He accepted watching as Saeyoung and Mi-Cha’s user names joined his and Saerans along with Sapfyre.
AhaChaCha: Wow, really pushing it guys
HackerGod: Will he spawn though
HackerGod: Dun Dun
HackerGod: Come on Saeran, give me a DUN!
UnknownUserName: No
Sapfyre: DUNNNN!!!!
HackerGod: HAHA
AhaChaCha: Yoosung it’s not nice to get your new friends killed.
SupermanYoosung★: Meh, we would’ve been fine.
Sapfyre: Would we really have been though!?!
Sapfyre: Look at all these people concerned about our well being!
Sapfyre: Can’t believe you took me out on a suicide mission T^T
HackerGod: Lolol, Ya Yoosung.
HackerGod: How
HackerGod: Could
HackerGod: YOU!
AhaChaCha: T^T this is so sad
AhaChaCha: Alexia play Despacito~
Sapfyre: Pbffft
UnknownUserName: How am I related to you fools?
SupermanYoosung★: Only three more Levels to go!
SupermanYoosung★: MEN - Mi-Cha- LET’S MARCH FORWARDS TO VICTORY!
Sapfyre: Y'all hear that??
As Sapfyre’s message appeared a rumbling roar shook Yoosung’s eardrums. He hissed removing the headset and moved quickly. Honestly, the rest of them could’ve easily made a voice chat, but maybe they were being considerate to Sapfyre who would be the only man out.
HackerGod: Let us KamiKaze this bitch!
UnknownUserName: Now that’s something I can get behind
AhaChaCha: Stay back and focus on your healing spells, Sapfyre
SupermanYoosung★: Should we cue a war cry?
Sapfyre: FREEDOM!!!
SupermanYoosung★: lmao!
HackGod: GRYFFINDOR!!!
With that, they all took their positions. Saeyoung was a mage and stood back with his brother seeing as their both ranged. Mi-Cha and Himself charged in. She was a duel wielding halfling and him a tank. Saran was careful to position himself before Sapfyre protecting the extremely under-leveled healer. Yoosung was honestly surprised how easily Sapfyre got into the team formation and tried desperately to keep all their hit points up.
It was a long battle with just the five of them, even with Saeyoung and himself holding the number 1 and 2 place in the server ranking. Mi-Cha and saeran’s characters weren’t anything to scoff at. Sapfyre did good hanging out in the far back healing as fast as their mp gage and cool downtime would allow them. They even started tossing some of the potion’s Yoosung had bought for them the night prior. Event bosses were always a pain in the ass to take down, but the rewards were sooo worth it.
No one dared type in the group chat, everyone was busy watching for openings for an all-out attack when the defence dropped. Nothing like a risky battle to get your blood pumping, or so they say. Yoosung found himself swearing to himself as his voice got more panic watching his health bar deplete, however, Sapfyre was trying to heal him back up. Maybe this was a mistake, but if they went down, all of them could say they went down with one hell of a fight.
After a good hour, the beast died and Mi-Cha was like a hit point away from dying. Yoosung could almost hear everyone's sigh of relief as the exp divide between the five of them. Yoosung chuckled watching Sapfyre make their Avatar dance about in celebration.
AhaChaCha: That was too close for comfort.
HackerGod: At least Sapfyre is feeling energetic enough to dance for us
Sapfyre: What a rush! You’re all amazing! I went up like 7 levels!
UnknownUserName: There was a lesson to be learned here
SupermanYoosung★: Ya ya
HackerGod: I believe in the heart of the cards
AhaChaCha: lol! Got some good loot!
SupermanYoosung★: I’m glad you all showed up
SupermanYoosung★: Our ass’s would’ve been grass
Sapfyre: D:
Sapfyre: I told you this was a suicide mission!
UnknownUserName: ^^
After a few finishing things, and getting to the field of glow mushrooms everyone left the part. Soon it was just him, Sapfyre, and the loading screen brings them back to safety.
Sapfyre: It’s so late
Sapfyre: Don’t you ever sleep, Yoosung?
SupermanYoosung★: Sometimes lolol
SupermanYoosung★: I take it you’re headed to bed
Sapfyre: Yes! Are you insane? I have morning classes
Sapfyre: If anything you should be joining me
Yoosung choked on his spit.
Sapfyre: OMG!
Sapfyre: I meant you should be heading to bed!
Sapfyre: Gosh, now I’m blushing
SupermanYoosung★: It’s okay haha
SupermanYoosung★: You’re probably right
SupermanYoosung★: I’m just not gonna listen :p
Sapfyre: I rolled my eyes
Sapfyre: I guess this is goodnight!
Sapfyre: Nighty Night~
SupermanYoosung★: Night!~

What might happen- Winn and his mom (headcanon)
she shows up out of nowhere with a fake smile and a cunning light in her eyes
she is all nice and caring, pretending that nothing happened, and that sets Winn to the edge
he doesn’t know why she is here, and what she wants but for sure she is tearing at some old wounds and long-burdened trauma
he goes to work, trying his best to keep it together, there is always a crisis at hand that is more important than his issues
he is fidgeting constantly and his mind keeps wandering back to his mother
he feels overwhelmed by everything around him, the friendly touches of his co-workers and friends feel like slaps, the humming of the computer is a rumble to his ears
his friends notice (obviously)
Alex is the first one to do soo
when she walks past him he punches him in the shoulder, like every morning, as siblings do, but now Winn jumps up into the air, spooked out of his senses
he soon gathers himself and tries to laugh away the issue at hand (like he always does #unhealthy-coping mechanism
when he sees that is not working, he tries to send her away with the classic line „It is not important, nothing major or anything, I will tell you later”
she doesn’t let him get away with it so easily
so he tells her in quite voice that his mom showed up and it is kinda freaking him out
Alex rises her perfectly-shaped eyebrows, because she kinda assumed that she was dead, since he only talked about his dad, but never his mom
so Winn has to explain to her how she abandoned him, and he is using heavy hand gestures, keeps running out of breath, and his heart rate is acting the same way it does after he drank his fifth cup of coffee in the past 15 minutes
When he is done Alex doesn’t say a thing, she just hugs him, and holds him tight, it takes 5 seconds for Winn to break down
he sobs out all of his fears about the sudden appearance of his mother, he admits things he didn’t even dare to remember
how she called him names after his father was captured
how she was the first one ever to call him Toyman Jr.
how she avoided touching him at all after the bomb
how she left without telling him what was going on, she just packed her things jumped into the car in the middle of the night, without saying goodbye
how he wrote letters and emails to her, but she never answered
Alex calms him down, and swears she won’t let that bitch get to him
J’onn is the next one, he wasn’t really paying attention to Winn that day, but he just couldn’t ignore all the emotional thought waves
he goes up to him and it only takes him a second to realise what happened and what does it mean
he is not a really the huggy-touchy person himself, but Winn is so he gives him a typical Papa-Bear hug, all the while highlighting out why is Winn good, and important, but most of all lovable
the day rolls by and he is feeling a lot better, he even forgets about his mom for a little while
soon all of the Superfriends know about the uninvited guest and all one by one make sure that he is fine
Kara hugs him and only leaves him alone when it is absolutely necessary
James stops by pats him on the shoulder and they agree on that the Guardian team can rest for a night
Even Lena makes sure to call him and ask after his well-being (Kara tells her everything, that’s why she knows about it)
They all end up in Winn’s apartment with some board games and hot chocolate
They are happy and wholesome, laughing and having fun
and then there is a knock on the door
Winn goes to open it, assuming that is the delivery guy with their pizza, it’s not
his mother is there in all her glory, with a mad light in her eyes. Winn could practically see the anger and rage flying out of here ars in the form of smoke
he gulps, but says nothing, he is too scared to do so, and this is the perfect opportunity for her to start her rage rant
she doesn’t even yell in the beginning it a quite and controlled tone with vicious words, the kind that cuts deep
she starts it with a deep stab: ”I am so very disappointed in you, Winslow, I come here so we can make things better between us, I was ready to forgive you, I hoped that you have changed. But then you left and suddenly I remembered why I have had to leave in the first place. You  are just like your father.”
“You know how much it hurt me to leave you, but you left me no choice. I wanted to stay so bad, I wanted to have at least one family member, but you… oh you did everything to make me leave. It was your fault I had to live with the guilt and pain, that the distance has caused me.”
Winn is literally shaking in his apartment door, doesn’t say a word, his eyes are darting around looking for a way to escape.  His breathing is quick and erratic, his hands are sweaty and shaking. He is trying to stay calm, but he can’t. His mind is full of racing thoughts: it’s my fault… she is right… how can I be like this… please, go away… I don’t want to be  here…
Her temper starts tor un free, and so her voice raises every passing second. It takes only 2 minutes for her to get to the point of screaming.
They others show up to the noises and see the scene: Winn, with his head hanging low, looking incredibly small and young, but most of all vulnerable with a woman in front of him yelling
It takes them less than 2 seconds to get to Winn and start yelling at the woman
All of them one by one scream at her for her sins against his son and giving her a detailed explanation on how amazing her son is
The screaming gets to Winn and his state worsens a lot
Lena is the first to notice his panicked look, and she knows exactly what to do (how could she not, she lived this through several times). So she gently guides him back to the livingroom, where he breaks down
he is sobbing and panicking, but Lena helps him through it, and tells Winn how important he is, she also gives him a 5 minute long mini lecture called “It is not you fault, never been and never will be!"
the others are fighting the woman a couple of minutes longer, and it ends with a bunch of threats, including:
“I will write 6 articles about your past and behaviour”- Kara
“I will publish it, and together we are going to ruin you life with the help of the media”- James
“If you ever come near him again, I will kill you and no one will ever know about it”-Alex
“Tell me, have you ever been dropped down from the stratosphere?”- J’onn
After this they all go in and see a bit more balanced Winn on the couch with Lena, looking miserable
The girls cuddle up to him, with blankets while James sits on the ground holding his hand (J’onn is in the kitchen making hot chocolate)
They assure him that she won’t ever hurt him again
After some time Winn opens up about his childhood, and they listen to him
They all feel pretty bad after it, because they knew it deep down but still didn’t suspected him to be this broken
They keep him company and talk with him, tell him all the things he should have been told as a child:
you are loved
it’s okay for you to be angry, don’t worry, we won’t let you hurt anyone or yourself when you get mad
you matter
you are an incredibly talented, intelligent individual, who deserves all the love in the world
you have done no wrong
you didn’t deserve the slaps and kicks, nor the yells and screams you have received
the moon rises and soon they are all asleep, all except Kara
she takes the opportunity to make one last valid point, and flies out the window
she finds Winn’s mom, and takes her on a “ride” over the city, she lands her on the top of the highest skyscraper, threatens her one last time and leaves her there
J’onn is also up for a short amount of time, it takes him less than 5 minutes to call the DEO, so that Winn can start some much-needed therapy tomorrow
All of them check on him the next day, and the day after that and make sure he knows that he is loved and valued

Personal
So I was running out of two of my more important meds, and the refills on the two others I absolutely can't fuck around with if I want to be doing things like breathing were waiting and those get special ordered and cycled back if I don't pick them up.  (Sigh, eleven dollars I can't afford).  Tavy enforced bed rest all morning my sitting on me every time I tried to get up, but I hadn't the luxury of nursing the infection all afternoon, as meds don't pick themselves up, the library does not pick up and deliver books, and groceries and forage were needing doing.  Luckily I was slightly improved.  I masked up, washed my hands, and went.  It was terrible.  The forage line is always bad right after open, but I figured if I did the other errands first, the first volley would have cleared enough for me to get a parking space.  I did score accessible parking right by the door, but the line was a block lawn.  I pulled out my lawn chair and joined, much as I'd rather be home.  The line was like geometrically slower than it ought to have been.  It turned out they'd changed computers, so not only was this the first day with a new program, but they were going to have to re-enter everybody since the database apparently wasn't transferable.  Three hour line, with the lady ahead of me escalating over a cluster of elderly Ukrainians she persisted in calling Russians whom she was sure were cheating.  My attempts to calm her the fuck down failed, though luckily she wasn't violent.  As I passed her on the way to the second check out she was complaining about them to a very calm and patient check in guy.  Look, they might have been cheating, sure, but also I know a lot of the Ukrainian immigrants pack a whole extended family including any living grandparents into a two bedroom apartment because that's all they can fucking afford, so I see an old man and two old women with soviet era dentistry and I think it's just as likely that they are both maternal and paternal grandparents as it is that they are neighbors carpooling and anyway, the fuck does it matter?  They could easily register as two households if they were two households and get more stuff than they would get as one household, so it doesn't look like cheating to me.  It's not harming anybody, just leave them alone.  You don't know their life.  But she would not leave it the fuck alone and kept screaming at them sporadically, sure they were somehow putting one over on the system when I honestly couldn't see how.  She was really nice to me, but Jesus so much drama over a small thing, and like a lot of the Ukrainian elders, they were super limited English, so in no position to defend themselves, though an American man behind them would occasionally yell back at anti-immigrant lady on their behalf.  I was completely wilted by the time we checked in even with the limited standing and no able to make clear sentences.  At least the fever is gone today even if I'm still feeling crappy in every other possible way.
I did get to see the exact moment when Tavy discovered that all the Goth tchotchkes had vacated his livingroom staring window yesterday.  So much delight.  He's been having a lot of fun watching birds, people walking their dogs, etc. when he hasn't been draped all over me.

This Castle Has Pillows
Summary: Lance & Hunk decide to make a pillow fort.
Category: Gen
Word Count: 4,844
Commission for @kakunamatatoes
I have also posted this on my AO3 here X
To say this is the worst thing you two have been caught doing would be a lie, honestly. Dragging a couple of stacked mattresses with pillows piled on top down the hall while wearing blanket capes is, in fact, not even close to being in the top ten spot on your list of Regrettable & Embarrassing. Even if it was, there are worse people to be caught by.
All three of you froze the second Pidge rounded the corner, her eyebrows shooting up, mug filled with freshly brewed coffee- or the space equivalent of coffee- resting on her lower lip. She slowly brings her arm down, shoulders dropping slightly, then brings her mug back up and takes a long, suffering sip.
“Ay, Pidge!” Lance drops his half of the mattress.
She sighs, exasperated, and turns the hand holding the mug so she can rub the bags under her eyes with the heel of her palm. “What are you two doing?”
“Uh, exactly what it looks like?” Lance grabs one of the pillows on the pile and waves it almost proudly, like this is the best idea ever. Considering every other idea you’ve been involved in for the past long while were life-threatening, it just might be. “We’re making a pillow fort.”
Pidge looks interested for a second, but her eyes flicker down to the ground and squeeze shut. After a moment, she rubs her eyes again and looks up at you for answers.
You shrug. “Have you seen the size of this place?”
“Yeah, there’re so many rooms, there’s probably hundreds of pillows! Imagine how big we can make this!” Lance jumps in, tossing the pillow back on the mattresses. He glances down at the laptop held against Pidge’s side and nods at it. “Why don’t you take a break from that stuff? C’mon; it’ll be fun.”
“Eh, I shouldn’t…” She gestures slightly with her computer. “I got a thing…”
“Wouldn’t hurt to take a break.” You say. You all need a break, honestly.
“Yeah! Come on, it’ll be fun!” Lance repeats more cheerfully, then tilts his head and says in a sing-song voice, “We have time o-off~!”
Pidge eyes the pillows, looks into her space coffee, then takes a deep breath in and sighs. Rings ripple across the surface of the cyan liquid. You wonder offhandedly if it tastes the same as coffee, but that would probably be more weird than if it didn’t, actually.
“I… I guess I could…”
“Alright! Come on!” Lance hoists the mattresses up and runs down the hall.
Or tries to. He runs as fast as a person carrying two mattresses covered in pillows can run. Pidge watches you two go off down the hall, then shakes her head, downs some more coffee and jogs to catch up. The next you know Pidge is hauling a blanket full of pillows behind you and Lance is loudly humming a spy theme and peeking around corners before trying to run down the hall.
You make it your destination without getting caught again; the couch room. No one ever officially dubbed it. Someone tried calling it the break room once- probably Shiro- but that didn’t catch on, so, The Couch Room. You think Coran might’ve called it the lounge too, but Couch Room is just funner to say, honestly.
Lance grabs a pillow in each hand and jumps down into the center of the in-floor couch. Pidge looks at you quizzically.
“He has a ‘vision’.” You explain.
She sets her cup down on the floor and picks out some pillows as well, copying Lance in placing them on the floor around the back of the couch. “…Matt and I used to build pillow forts in the livingroom when we were little. We’d build it around the tv and watch movies.”
“Mmm.” You hum and watch her carefully as she picks out some more pillows from the pile you dumped of the floor. “Well, when we find him he can help us with this ‘cause I think lance’s ‘vision’ is a little too big for us. I don’t even think the castle has as many bedrooms as he thinks.”
“Heh, yeah.” She shakes her head. “What’s he doing?”
“Building a wall.” Lance answers from across the room. “I thought you guys were gonna help!”
“We are!” You grab a pillow and chuck it across at him. “Look! I’m helping.”
He tries to catch the pillow but misses. It hits him right in the face. “Oh, you’re so helpful, Hunk.”
“Watch my coffee.” Pidge slides her cup a little farther away.
You lean over to get a look at her cup. “I keep seeing you drinking that stuff- what even is that?”
“Eh,” She shrugs. “I dunno; I can’t pronounce the name. Coran said it’s basically coffee, though.”
“…can I try some?”
“I guess.”
You pick up the cup carefully and take a small sip. It’s surprisingly delicious. You blink, eyebrows shooting up.
“Huh… it’s kinda… fruity.”
“What?” Lance jumps over his small wall of pillows and runs across the couch. “Can I try?”
Pidge sighs heavily. “Sure.”
You continue surrounding the in-floor couch with pillows while Lance tries Pidge’s space coffee.
“Whoa.” He says, then takes another sip.
“Hey, whoa, don’t drink all of it!” Pidge takes her mug back.
“But it’s the coffee equivalent of apple cider beer.”
“Yeah.” You add. “Same effects, but delicious.”
“I’m fifteen so I wouldn’t know what you mean.”
“What heck, Pidge, you shouldn’t be drinking coffee; it’ll stunt your growth.”
She gives him a suffering look. “Everyone in my family is like, five-foot-nothing, Lance. I doubt it’ll matter in the long run.”
“What are you all doing?”
All three of you jump in surprise and spin around. Hadn’t you just mentioned something about Pidge not being the worst person you could get caught by?
Allura looks across the room at all the pillows, the two mattresses you still haven’t used, the blanket capes which Pidge at some point donned too. She doesn’t look mad, just confused and a little surprised.
“Is this… some kind of Earth… tradition?” She asks in a slightly pained voice, like she’s curious, but at the same time a little scared to find out what weirdness you’re up to.
You and Pidge glance at each other.
“Yes.” Lance deadpans.
“It’s more to pass the time.” You tack on quickly. “Since we don’t really have anything to do right now, we’re making a pillow fort.”
“A… pillow… fort.” Allura says, straight-faced. “You mean… a fort made out of pillows?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
You open your mouth, then close it and think about it for a sec. “For fun.”
Lance picks up a pillow and gestures at her with it aimlessly. “We don’t have anything else to do and the castle has like, a hundred rooms and only seven are being used so,” He adds it to the stack on the back of the couch.
Allura nods, like she understands perfectly. You suspect she probably does. “You know, Coran is going to be the one to clean all of this up, right?” She says, but walks over and sits down next to Pidge.
“Yeah, probably.”
She picks up a pillow and holds it in her lap. “And the blankets are for…?”
You look down at the two corners of the blanket tied around your neck, the three of you looking like a bunch of kids playing superhero.
“Fun.” You and Lance answer at the same time.
“Here!” Lance digs out the blanket that Pidge had used to drag the pile of pillows here and tosses it to her.
You raise your eyebrows at Lance but don’t say anything as he instructs Allura on how to make it into a cape.
“We have actual capes somewhere.” She points out.
“Yeah, but this is funner.”
“Uh,” You give Lance a look. “Wouldn’t real capes be cooler?”
“It’s… tradition?” Allura suggests uncertainly.
“Exactly.”
You shake your head and hold your hands up. Real capes would definitely be ten thousand times cooler but whatever.
“So, this is the kind of stuff humans do on time off?”
“Well, it’s more like…” You think for a moment before continuing. “This is, uh, kid stuff, I guess? Like, stuff only kids do.”
“But we don’t care because we’re-”
“Not technically adults yet.” Pidge interrupts Lance.
“No, we’re mature.” He waves his hand and makes what he thinks looks like a mature face.
You stretch your arms in a way that shows off your cape. “Oh yeah, we’re so mature. On a completely unrelated note, you got any PG-13 movies on your laptop, Pidge?”
“Hey, Lilo & Stitch is PG-13.” Lance points his finger at you. “PG-13 movies can be great.”
“PG-13?” Allura pronounces slowly.
“It just means kids under thirteen years old-”
“Deca-Phoebs.” You correct.
“Yeah, kids under thirteen Deca-Phoebs aren’t allowed to see it with parent guidance.” Pidge explains. “PG stands for parent guidance.”
“Ah.” She nods.
“Anyways,” Lance speaks loudly, drawing everyone’s attention back to him and his pillow wall. He places a pillow on his stack while maintaining eye contact. “This pillow fort isn’t gonna build itself.”
You grab a pillow and add it to your side’s stack. “We should do something else too, like play some roadtrip games or something.”
“Like what? Space ships don’t have license plates.” Pidge picks up her coffee and sips on it. It’s likely cooled off by now.
“Road trip games? What’s a license plate?”
You blink and frown. You keep forgetting earth culture is lost on aliens.
“License plates are ID’s for vehicles.” Lance says. “And road trip games are for cars.” He lights up suddenly. “The Singing Game!”
“No.” Pidge immediately answers. “What about Twenty Questions?”
“How do you play?” Allura asks. She picks up a pillow, looks at it uncertainly, then places it on the growing wall around the in-floor couch.
“Someone thinks of something-”
“A person, place or thing.”
You nod. “Yeah, and then the rest of us try to guess what it is.”
“Whoever gets it right goes next.” Lance finishes. “Let’s do a practice round. I’ll go first.”
“Okay.” Allura puts on her game face.
“‘Kay, let’s go clockwise.” Lance twirls his finger in the air to motion the direction he means. “Hunk, you go.”
“Is it a place?”
“No.”
Pidge stares at Lance with narrowed eyes. “Is it a person?”
“Yeah.”
Allura puts her fist to her mouth and stares down in thought. “Are they from a planet we’ve all been to?”
“Yes.”
“Klaizap.” You blurt out, as the tiny Arusian is the first thing that popped into your head.
Lance bursts out laughing. “Yeah! What the heck, Hunk, how’d you guess that?”
You shrug, genuinely.
“Well, that was quick.” Pidge chugs down her remaining space coffee. “We should find a way to play Quiplash; that’s more fun.”
“Quiplash…? Oh!” You throw your head back and laugh. “Yeah, we totally should!”
“It’s this game where you come up with an answer to a question, and everyone else votes on whose is better.” Lance clarifies before Allura can ask. “We played it on our phones during class once and boy did we get in trouble.”
“That sounds fun.” She says. “Why can’t we play that one?”
“We’d have to come up with the questions.” Pidge sighs. “I don’t have Jackbox on my laptop.”
You groan. “Why don’t we just ask random questions, and then the last two people answer?”
“That won’t be any fun with just four of us.” Lance leans his crossed arms on his pillow stack. “Where’s Keith?”
“Probably in his room or on the training deck.” You start building up the pillow fort again. You didn’t notice you’d stopped for a moment.
“We should call him down, tell him to bring more pillows too.” Surveying the last few pillows in the pile, Lance shakes his head in mock disappointment.
“We stole those mattresses.” You point out.
“Yeah,” Pidge stands up with an ‘oof’ and cracks her back. “We should use those as walls.”
“No! The mattresses are for the floor, the pillows are the walls, blankets are the roof.”
“I don’t think we have enough pillows to make a pillow fort that big.” Allura adds.
“But, this place is so big.” Lance throws his hands up in the air, motioning to the castleship in general. “There’s no way there’s only like, ten bedrooms.”
“Wait.” Pidge turns to Lance slowly. “Where did you get all of these pillows?”
“There’re some rooms down the hall that aren’t being used.” He says, then sees the look on her face. “I didn’t steal them from our rooms.”
“How often do you even sleep in your room, Pidge?”
She looks at you, taken aback. “All the time?”
“You’re always in your hangar.”
“There’s stuff I need to do.” Pidge defends. “And all of my stuff is in Green’s hangar. I don’t have room in my room for all my stuff.”
“We should be building this in Green’s hangar.” Lance says, with a mischievous look.
“Yes, then Pidge would actually sleep for once.” Allura agrees, patting the pillow in her lap.
Pidge leans to the side and looks down at Allura. “You too? Really.”
“You’re always awake.” She gives her a small smile and then looks at the slightly blue-stained mug. “No wonder you don’t sleep. You’re drinking E’rwimlvet; that stuff will keep you up for ninety-two Quintants.”
“Wait- what?” Pidge’s jaw drops.
You all stare at Allura.
You look at Pidge half amused, half horrified.
“Coran said it would wake me up, not keep up awake for-” She stops, looks blankly forward, then goes on, “-three months! Damn! No wonder I’ve had trouble sleeping this week!”
“Jesus Christ, Pidge!” Lance half laughs. “If that doesn’t stunt your growth-”
“Oh, it’ll stunt my growth- permanently.” She says darkly. “I just chugged an entire cup- be straight with me, Allura- am I gonna die?”
“Probably not.”
“That doesn’t help. At all.”
“Well,” She looks up as if thinking about it. “You only drank one cup; you’re fine.”
“I drank like, three this week.”
“You basically drank like, seven cups of coffee and redbull mixed together, holy crow, Pidge.” Lance whistles.
“Okay, well, lesson learned. Don’t drink the ehrwimblvffr.”
“E’rwimlvet.” Allura corrects.
“Yeah, that.” She waves her hand dismissively.
Knowing all that, you note not to drink that ever. “…it tastes so good though.” You reminisce out loud.
“It could also cause a real life Russian Sleep Experiment.” Lance gives you a look. “Yeah, let’s all go crazy ‘cause this drink one-hundred times stronger than coffee is just… so good.” He curls his hands into fists and poses, as if it physically pains him how delicious the space coffee is.
“We could probably take shots of it. Like, espresso shots.” You point out. “Right when we wake up.”
“E’rwimlvet was originally used to aid Alteans on long-term assignments on alien planets.” Allura says. She always looks a little proud when explaining things like this. “Sleep schedules would usually get rearranged or become almost nonexistent during diplomatic missions. E’rwimlvet also aided in combat.”
“So just like,” Lance’s arms shoot up into the air and he looks skyward with a very serious expression on his face, “scream out Witness ME and chug a bottle of airwimlfuffer? Cool.”
“We could do that,” Pidge adjusts her glasses with a half smile, “If we, ya know, didn’t die from it.”
“I could imagine Keith doing that.” You snicker.
Everyone else in the room agrees in varying unintelligible grumbling.
Allura nods sincerely. “Absolutely.”
“Witness Me is a reference of this movie.” You lean over and explain.
“Ah yes. I reference Altean media all of the time.”
You all blink at her with wide eyes. It takes a moment to get over the shock of that statement.
“Oh my god, that actually gives me a great idea!” Pidge exclaims. She doesn’t give any of you the time to ask what she’s thinking. “We should do charades.”
“What- how did any of this conversation give you that idea?” You can’t help but ask, flabbergasted.
“I was gonna say we should learn about as much of each other’s respective media as possible and then build a guessing game around that, where we have to guess Altean media facts, and Allura and Coran have to guess Earth media facts,” Pidge pushes up her glasses, probably attempting to look like a smart anime character. “But I thought charades was probably simpler.”
“I only got about ten percent of what you said,” Lance says with a blank look, “And that ten percent was ‘Let’s play charades’. I’m in.” He shrugs.
You copy the movement. “Yeah, sure.”
“What’s charades?”
You and Pidge collectively explain charades to Allura while Lance goes to find Keith and get him the heck over here to join you. The game is easy enough that all you can play it, and you can still build the pillow fort around yourselves while doing it. It would be the perfect sleepover if only you had hot chocolate, popcorn, and movies.
You wonder if there’s a space equivalent to those, but then remember the space coffee and decide that space popcorn would probably make you fall into a coma for two months or make you fall in love with the first person you see or something.
“Basically,” You start off as you, Allura, and Pidge add pillows to the gap between your wall and Lance’s joining them together to make one big wall, albeit only a couple feet tall. “We split into two teams. One person per turn picks a word and acts it out, and everyone else on their team tries to guess what it is.”
“There’s no talking.” Pidge adds.
“Whichever team reaches twenty points first wins.”
Allura seems to consider this for a moment. “So… wait, do you act out the words as fast as possible and hope you reach twenty before the other team?”
“Oh- no! Sorry- the team’s take turns. So team A goes first, then team B goes after they’re done.” You clarify, then continue explaining the game. “Each team has a minute- Dobosh, I mean- to guess. If they get it before the timer runs out, they get a point. If they don’t-”
“No point.” Pidge finishes.
“Oh!” She nods in understanding. “Yes, this game seems simple enough.”
“Why don’t we decide the teams?” Pidge suggests.
“Knife.” Pidge deadpans.
“Yeah!” Keith smiles.
“Seriously?” You blurt out. “The word was knife?”
Keith gives you a confused look, like he doesn’t quite get what you mean. You make a ‘whatever’ gesture and give one point to ‘Team Arms + Allura’ on the piece of paper.
Next up, ‘Team Legs’. Lance puts one hand on his head, fingers straight up. He squints his eyes and makes a face that you can only describe as not being able to see very well. He then puts his hands together in front of his mouth and gnashes his fingers together like teeth.
“Thirty ticks.” Pidge warns, holding up the ticker.
You sigh deeply. “Shark.”
“Alright! Point to Team Legs!” Lance freezes mid-celebration to give everyone an impish look. “Ne-”
Pidge cuts him off. “If you say ‘never skip leg day’ or any variation, you guys only have thirty ticks to guess next round.” She clears her throat and looks to her team mates as if that never happened. “My turn.”
She starts the clock. She starts miming and you all watch her in utter, defeated bewilderment. Pidge does the worm with one arm in front of her, peering over it evilly.
Allura lets out one big laugh. Keith, Lance, and you raise your eyebrows at her.
“This one’s too easy; a water ventrela!”
“Point to Team Arms- plus Allura.” Pidge says smugly.
“What the heck is a water ventrela?” Lance’s voice pitches.
“It’s kinda like a snake thing. I found info on it in the castleship’s database.” Pidge stares at you until you begrudgingly give her team a point.
Your turn.
Ten minutes in you change the rules. The other team now makes up the phrase or word for the person who’s it, because everyone kept picking words they knew everyone would be able to guess, or words that were related to things they like.
It’s your turn again. You want to kill Pidge.
“Uh uh, a cat! A dog!” Lance guesses rapidly as the time starts to run out.
You try to keep a straight face as you give Lance what you think is a sexy look, but you have a sneaking suspicion you look more like an idiot.
Pidge sits off the side in a teepee she built out of the two mattresses and a few pillows, cackling evilly. Allura just smiles blankly at you, and Keith laughs quietly.
You make bunny ears with your hands and give Lance a desperate look. Just guess already, damn it.
“Uh, uh, a bunny!”
You nod and make a gesture to keep going.
“Bunny… bunny… rabbit! The rabbit from Winnie the Pooh!”
You shake your head and can’t help but laugh silently. You turn to the side, pose, and wink as Lance while wiggling your eyebrows. Pidge’s cackling grows louder. She might be going crazy from the space coffee.
“Uuum… Sexy bunny?” Lance scratches his head in confusion, then freezes. “Oh! Playboy Bunny!”
You throw your hands in the air. “Yes! My god!”
Lance flops over laughing. He tries to wheeze out a few words but they just end up sounding like utter gibberish. You catch the word ‘Playboy’ but that’s about it. You turn to Team Arms + Allura and give them a passive-aggressive expression.
“Your turn.” You say to Keith.
Lance quickly leans over and whispers into your ear. “Hippo.”
“Oh, jeez, yes.” You both snicker and gesture for Keith to come close.
He does, and leans in towards you two. You laugh quietly, evilly, as you whisper the word to him.
“Hippo.”
The way his eyes light up and the small gasp that escapes him at the mention of hippos make you believe you might’ve just made a mistake. But he quickly goes back over to his team’s side of the half built pillow fort, smiling.
You watch, intrigued, as Pidge starts the timer.
Keith holds up his index finger.
“One word.” Pidge and Allura say at the same time.
Keith nods, then holds his arms out, fingers on his hips, creating the look of something big and round. Then curls his hands into fists and places them on his head. That must be the little round ears. Keith has a faraway look of utter admiration on his face as he mimes being a hippo.
“Uh, round? Ears?” Pidge guesses hastily.
Keith puffs his cheeks out and pinches his nose closed.
“Holding your breath? Underwater?” Pidge makes a weird noise, like she was about to say something but decided not to. “Is it an animal?”
Keith nods, still smiling.
“Big, round, aquatic animal…?” Pidge gasps. “Is it a hippo!?”
“Yeah!” Keith exclaims.
“Why are you so happy about that?” Lance asks, barely even waiting for Keith to finish saying that one word.
“Hippos are awesome.” He says, confusion dripping from every word, as he has no idea why anyone would think otherwise. “Did you know they can run up to thirty kilometers an hour?”
“What’s a hippo?”
“A big animal from Earth.” You supply.
Keith looks offended. “They’re these big, thousand pound, semi-aquatic animals that could kill you in one. Bite.”
“Really?”
“Yeah! You should see their babies-” Keith reaches for his fanny pack.
“Okay! Let’s continue the game!” Lance interrupts, even though you’re amazed to find out that Keith doesn’t keep survival equipment in his fanny packs, but pictures of hippos apparently.
“Wait, no.” Pidge holds her hand out at Lance, still looking at Keith. “You have a picture of a baby hippo on you right now?”
“Yeah.” You lean forwards, and stare as Keith pulls out a wallet.
“I only have one.” He slips a piece of paper out of his wallet and holds it up. A little baby hippo looks back at them; it looks like he cut out the picture from a National Geographic magazine.
Allura leans in to get a look at the picture. “Oh, that’s so cute.” She smiles. “That could kill you in a single bite?”
“Yeah.”
“Interesting.”
“Okay, yeah, hippos are murderers,” Lance says. You don’t know if Keith looks proud or offended by this fact. “It’s my turn! Give me something!”
“Okay.” You all turn to Keith. He hasn’t come up with any words so far. This should be good.
Lance scoots over to Team Arms + Allura and leans in close to hear what Keith has to say. They whisper-yell at each other for a moment, and then Lance scuttles back over to your side of the fort. He nods and Pidge starts the timer.
You catch the look on Keith’s face as Lance squeezes one eye shut and pouts. He silently berates you, pointing his finger in your face. Pidge and Keith snicker. You lean back in surprise and then laugh.
“Are you- is that supposed to be- Commander Iverson!?” You gasp out, wheezing. “Keith- the first thing you come up with is Commander Iverson? I gotta admit- that’s genius.”
He grins, proud of himself. Despite the last few turns being Earth stuff, Allura seems to be enjoying herself as well. You note to think up some space and alien-themed words for next few turns.
“This is very fun.” Allura says, cuddling a frilly, pink pillow you think might be from her room, considering how it’s much more fancy than the plain white ones from your room. “I wish we could do these games more often.”
“Mmm.” You hum in agreement.
The fort is finished. You had to take apart Pidge’s mini-fort, moving the mattress teepee into the center of the infloor couch. Pidge rebuilt her mini-fort inside the bigger fort. It’s basically just a tent, the blanket ceiling being held up by the pillows stacked around the back of the couch and the mattresses.
After Team Arms + Allura won charades- though you and Lance called BS since they gave you some really difficult words- you all finished off the fort and got comfy inside of it.
Pidge went into her mini-fort with her laptop, Keith went to the other side of the fort to lay down, and you, Lance, and Allura sat in a circle on the floor.
“Hey, guys. I have some episodes of X-Files downloaded on my laptop if you wanted to watch ‘em.” Pidge says without looking up, though you can barely see her from this angle. “They’re season one episodes.”
You and Lance gasp at the same time and Keith looks up from his spot.
“What! Yeah! Of course I wanna watch X-Files!” You put your hand over your heart as if offended she would even imply you didn’t want to watch X-Files in a big pillow fort. “Then Allura can see Earth culture.”
Lance snorts. “Oh yeah, ‘cause X-Files shows exactly how Earth is.”
“Uh, yeah?” Keith’s shoulders rise as he replies. “Aliens turned out to be real.”
“Yeah, it’s not that far a stretch, knowing what we know now.” You point out.
“Imagine,” Pidge laughs, “if they knew it wasn’t flying saucers, but lions.”
“Rainbow lions.” You add. “Flying, rainbow lions, that just so happen to combine into a humanoid mecha.”
“We gotta make Voltron nyah.” Lance blurts and then immediately proceeds to laugh at himself.
“What?” Allura asks.
“Oh my god.” Pidge grumbles in her teepee.
“You know,” Lance looks like he can’t believe this is happening, and isn’t sure if he should enjoy it or call Allura out for messing with him. He holds up one hand like a paw. “Like, nyah!”
You groan. “Oh my god.”
“The second-hand embarrassment is killing me, Lance.”
“I saw the opportunity, Pidge.” He shrugs.
“I have the opportunity to kill you right now, but that doesn’t mean I should.”
“…point taken.” He nods, seriously. “Now are we gonna watch the X-Files or not?”
“Yeah, yeah. One second.”
She clicks her mouse a few times, stares at her computer screen while tapping a rhythm on her keyboard, and then familiar music starts playing. You watch everyone’s amused expressions fade off their faces, replaced by a bittersweet look.
She kicks the pillow blocking the entrance to her teepee out of the way and crawls out from under the mattresses. Pidge sets her laptop up on the couch so everyone can see and sits back. Allura looks intrigued as the episode starts and Pidge quickly explains just what the show is about, as this isn’t the first episode.
Lance spreads himself out on the floor, using your leg as a pillow. Allura sits on your other side with Pidge, and Keith settles down beside them. Pillow fort, games, a movie- er, tv show to watch; it really is a perfect sleepover- almost.
All you need now is some popcorn and hot chocolate.

Galactica, part 239
In this Tatianna wakes up, Fame hosts dinner, Trixie has a problem, Bianca isn’t sure, and Max goes to sleep.
Thank you @veronicasanders @samrull and @toriibelledarling
“Uuurgh…” Tatianna groaned as she opened her eyes, her world spinning, the ceiling completely white. Where was she? She reached out with her hand, touching something cold and hard, but her chin was resting on something fluffy and warm. Wait. She recognised that stain, the purple splat that looked kinda like a dinosaur from when Allison had tried dip dying and horribly failed at it. She was in her bathroom. Tatianna sat up, her bones aching. She was lying next to the toilet, a two big fluffy towels acting as pillows and blankets. Had she really partied that hard last night? She had been at a rooftop party with Morgan and Tyra, some guys buying them drinks, but how many? Her mouth tasted like kebabs, and she faintly remembered making it home, and Allison holding her as she threw up everywhere. Tati groaned, annoyed that of course she remembered throwing up on her roomie’s pyjamas pants, and not any of the party she had been at which had to have been awesome.
“Ah, you’re awake.”
Tati whipped her head around, and came face to face with… Sutan, the man sitting against the wall, his shirt rumpled and his hair a mess.
“Done puking?” Sutan smiled, and Tatianna felt her face go beet red, only the shade of her skin saving her from total embarrassment.
“Please tell me you just got here,” Tati croaked, the thought of Sutan sitting with her her all night while she threw up simply mortifying.
“Allison called me around 3 am and I barely grabbed Violet before I got here.” Sutan told her.
“Jesus Christ.” Tati shook her head as Sutan chuckled. She allowed him to take her hand and help her to the sink, where she splashed some cold water on her face and brushed her teeth.
“You should eat something,” he said. “I can’t have you losing any more weight, and if you’re gonna throw up again, at least there will something in your stomach.”
Tatianna nodded weakly, the toothbrush hanging from her mouth. She definitely didn’t feel like food, but he was probably right. Dry heaving wasn’t fun either. In the living room, Violet and Allison were sitting on the sofa, drinking tea and clicking through Allison’s laptop, going through the latest photo shoots she and Tati had done together.
“Hi..” Violet smiled, not really meeting Tatianna eyes, the girl still dressed in what Tati could only assume was from the day before. “Are you okay?”
“Hey,” Tatianna said.
“Feeling any better?” asked Allison.
“I guess. I’m so sorry. Especially to you, Violet, I’m sure I ruined your night. I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t worry. I’m glad you’re okay,” Violet said with a small smile.
“Honestly, I have no idea what even happened. I remember being at this party with the girls, and I was excited because I hadn’t seen them for awhile and we were dancing and then there were these guys buying us drinks but I don’t think I had more than 3, to be honest, and then we ditched them to go get food, and then everything is basically a blur.”
Sutan and Allison exchanged a look.
“I haven’t really been drinking that much. Have I really turned into that much of a lightweight that I can’t have 3 or 4 drinks without blacking out and throwing up? Or maybe it was food poisoning?”
Sutan put a hand on her shoulder. “Tati. I think it’s possible that you had more than alcohol last night.”
“What? What do you mean? I don’t do drugs. I mean I used to smoke with Adore in college but not anymore.”
“No, sweetie, what he’s saying is that maybe someone slipped something in your drink,” Allison explained gently.
“Oh.” Tati’s mouth went dry and her stomach dropped. She felt small and stupid. Of course that’s what had happened.
Allison saw the expression on her face and immediately jumped up, putting her computer on the table and wrapping Tati into a hug. “It’s okay, you’re okay now.”
“I’m such an idiot.”
“No, you’re not. This can happen to anyone. Thank god you stayed with the girls and got home safely.”
Tati buried her face in Allie’s hair, trying to let the older girl’s comforting arms ease her feelings of shame and embarrassment.
“Can I?” Tati felt a cold palm touch her back, Violet gently stroking her. It felt nice, very very nice and grounding.
Sutan smiled, happy that his girlfriend was such a beautiful, sensitive soul. Not only had she rolled with the punches without complaining, but not here she was actually comforting the young model. How the fuck had he gotten so lucky? He pulled out his phone, telling Tati, “I’m sending you the name of a doctor. I really think you should go and get checked out today. I want to make sure that everything is okay. She can give you a blood test and if needed, something to help detox. And if your friends need to go, she’ll see them too.”
“Shit, I should call them.” Tati prayed her friends were okay. She vaguely remembered seeing Morgan’s boyfriend show up towards the end of the night. Maybe?
“Call me later so I know you’re okay,” Sutan said. “You have that fitting tomorrow morning for Free People, and the go-see with Rag & Bone.” “I’ll be fine for those, I promise.”
“This is why you’re my favorite,” Sutan said with a wink, taking Violet’s hand, pulling her up from the couch as if she weighed nothing. Tatianna couldn’t figure out why Violet was looking at her as she did, the expression on her face both tender and also beyond embarrassed, not that Tati understood why. Violet wasn’t the one that had just spent the entire night puking.
“I’ll talk to you later.”
“Yes sir.” Tatianna smiled, and Sutan gave her a half hug, the man talking to Allison, the two of them quickly hashing out Tatiana's schedule for the day.
“Bye, Tati...” Violet smiled slightly. “I borrowed your bed, I hope that’s okay.”
“Yeah, sure, whatever.”
“Okay..”
Sutan had gone to the hall, ready to leave, so Violet leaned in, Tati expecting her to go for a hug, but the other woman had apparently aimed for an air kiss, Violet’s lips bumping into Tati’s cheek which made Violet pull away as if she had been burned. “I-Feel better soon.”
Tati smiled at her. “Thanks, Vi.”
*** “Does anyone want more wine?” Fame asked. Raja held her glass out, nodding gratefully as Fame filled it from the bottle of pinot in her hands. Bianca quickly downed the rest of her glass, holding it out as well, and Juju laughed. Fame looked around the table at her friends. “Thank you for agreeing to come here instead of our usual girl’s night out. I wasn’t really feeling up for the nightclub thing.”
“Sure, blondie. You’ve made way more high maintenance requests than a dinner party,” Bianca commented.
Fame rolled her eyes. “Anyway, I appreciated your support.”
Raja laughed. “Is Charles feeling any better?”
“Yeah, a little. I think he must have eaten something weird at your mom’s house. You know I love mani, but she’s got way too many trinkets lying around.
“Talk to me when your three year old poops out a tiny gold heart,” said Juju. Raja giggled, sipping her wine. “Maybe you should pay more attention to your kids.”
“Maybe you can bite me.”
“As I was saying…” Fame continued, “I really appreciate the support. After that whole mess with Patrick’s mother--”
“Yeah, yeah, glad you finally realized the Orange County cunt was as two-faced as I always said. Told ya so. Can you pass the beet salad?” Bianca said, giving her an affectionate shove on the arm.
Fame obliged, fluttering her lashes. She looked up when the doorbell rang.
“Did you order something?” asked Juju.
“No? That’s weird. They probably just have the wrong apartment.” She started to get up, but Raja touched her wrist.
“Don’t bother, just ignore them, they’ll go away.”
Fame shrugged and sat back down, the group continuing to chat, listening to Juju tell them a story about a parent-teacher conference that nearly turned violent when Detox accidentally insulted the liberal sensibilities of Kelly’s UES private school. They were so wrapped up in each other’s company, that no one heard the front door open. When a man’s shadow passed over the dining room door, Juju let out a scream, grabbing onto Bianca’s arm in terror.
“Don’t shoot!” called an amused voice.
Fame turned around, surprised as she saw her husband walk into the livingroom.  “Patrick! What in God’s name are you doing here?”
“I just came to get my gym shoes. I’m going rock climbing and I--”
“So you’re just gonna waltz in here like everything is cool? To get shoes for some kind of extreme sports situation with your little girlfriend?” Bianca barked. “Are you some kind of moron?”
“What are you--”
“You should leave, Patrick.”
“Hey, no need to make a fuss, Raj.” Patrick turned to Fame. “I didn’t even think you’d be home. You’re usually out on Thursdays--”
Raja stood up, cheeks flushed with anger. “You have no idea how much shit you’ve caused! Please leave Patrick, this is the last time I’ll say it.”
“This is still legally my hom-”
“NOW!” She slammed her hands down on the table, causing everyone to jump, and Patrick’s eyes narrowed.
“Hey, relax. I was just--”
“No, the psychopath is right. Get the fuck out, Patrick,” Bianca added. “Okay? This is not the time or place, especially given your mom’s little lawsuit plan.”
“My… What the hell are you talking about?”
“Just GO, Patrick!”
“Alright, that’s ENOUGH!” Juju cried, everyone falling silent as they watched the petit woman. “Can you all shut the fuck up? Would you look at what you’re doing to Fame?” Juju pointed towards Fame, all of them, including Patrick, seeing how distressed, worried and embarrassed Fame seemed. “And by the way, Patrick was our friend for years, so if he says he doesn’t know what you’re talking about, can we give him the benefit of the doubt for 5 seconds? Yeah, divorce is shitty and awful, but no one here is a monster, so maybe let’s not treat him like one?” Juju crossed her arms and sat back down, clearly annoyed with the entire situation.
Bianca and Raja looked at Fame, the tears rolling down her cheeks, and then at Patrick, who looked both distraught and confused. Raja sat back down, sighing, and Bianca unclenched her fists, chagrined.
“Sorry,” Bianca said softly.
Patrick cleared his throat. “Yeah...well...me too…”
Raja nodded.
Patrick took a step forward. “I really didn’t mean to ruin your night.”
Fame closed her eyes. “It’s fine.”
Sighing, Patrick said, “I needed new shoes anyway.” Patrick turned around and left, the front door closing behind him.
The room fell silent as he walked slowly to the door. They heard it close behind him. Bianca placed a hand on Fame’s back, Raja held her hand. “I’m okay,” she whispered unconvincingly.
“We know,” said Bianca.
“Sorry for making it worse,” Raja said.
Juju shook her head. “You all need a lesson in diplomacy. You’re a bunch of fucking jackals.”
“We’re loyal!” Raja said, squeezing Fame’s hand.
Fame brushed a tear off her cheek.
“Blondie, please don’t cry,” Bianca begged her.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t APOLOGIZE, that’s worse!” Bianca scolded.
“I’m sorry.”
Bianca threw up her hands in dismay, then pulled her in for a tight hug. “Jesus Christ, stop it.”
Fame laid a head on her shoulder. “This fucking sucks.”
“I know, blondie.”
Raja and Juju joined in, enveloping the two of them in a group hug, and after a few moments, Bianca pushed everyone off.
“Alright, enough of this maudlin shit. Let’s go out.”
Raja started to whine, “I thought tonight was supposed to be a chill--”
“CHANGE OF PLANS! Roll with the punches.” She looked at Fame. “Right?” Fame nodded. “Yeah, I need some loud music and handsy assholes.”
Juju high fived her. “Sold.”

“I can’t believe you took the rest of the turkey.” Trixie dumped down on the couch as Pearl booted up the playstation.
“You snooze you loose my mate.” Pearl smiled and took a swig of her beer. “You mean because my infant son needs a nap?”
“Isn’t he like 6 months or something?”
“So?”
“Is that still an infant?”
“Maybe, but that still doesn’t make it okay.” Trixie placed his feet on the table, Pearl choosing Grand Theft Auto, the title screen and opening tune so very familiar to him. “My turkey to mustard radio is all wrong.” Trixie picked up his sandwich, taking a big bite. The two had been keeping the leftovers in the freezer, waiting for Katya and Laila to go grocery shopping and for Max at Ruby’s place, their leaving the duo with some much needed bro time as Pearl had come to call it.
“You’re literally the only person I know that cares so much about Thanksgiving leftovers.”
“If it’s that’s stupid, why don’t you trade me your sandwich?”
“No way. I’m not an idiot bro.”
“Come on-” Trixie reached out, but Pearl pushed him away, laughing as they fought over her plate until Pearl finally pushed Trixie away, the two settling in to play. The night went by in a flash of good friends, proper beer, improper use of almost every option in the game, and Trixie ended up happy and full with not only his own, but also half of Pearl’s sandwich.

Fame leaned on Bianca’s arm as the older woman called a car to go home. Raja and Juju had left a few hours ago, Bianca staying behind to drink the last of the wine, since she genuinely wasn’t sure if Fame would have been able to handle being left alone.
Bianca typed in the address of her apartment building, finally feeling like she could go home, when Fame slurred, “I’m coming too.”
“You can’t come home with me. Courtney will be home from her gig in the morning and she’ll go fucking ballistic if you’re at the--”
“Believe it or not, Bianca, not everything is about me trying to fuck you,” Fame slurred.
“Since when?” Bianca winked.
Fame rolled her eyes. “I need to go to the Plaza.”
“You wanna go see your ex husband? In this state?”
“Yeah.” Fame hiccupped.
Bianca shook her head. “Well, okay. But this is a terrible idea, and when it blows up in your face, I hope you--”
“Just shut up and order the damn uber, B.”
“Yes, miss,” Bianca said, imitating Fame’s office staff.
“Good girl.” Fame slapped Bianca lightly on the cheek.

“So.. Do you want to talk about it?” Ruby looked at Max, the man pulling on his pyjamas. Ruby couldn’t help but smile; Max was so cute. She had never seen an adult wear actual pyjamas before, but somehow the blue set just seemed cute on her tall, British elfman.
“Talk about what?” Max sat down and crawled underneath the covers, Ruth jumping onto the bed, quickly curling up on Max’s lap.
They had spent the day exploring Brooklyn, Ruby buying chocolate milk for both of them as they visited thrift shop after thrift shop, Max buying funny hats and old t-shirts in mustard yellow. It was the most perfect of days and Ruby nearly forgot what was bugging her all the time, pushing it to the very back of her mind.
“Do you want to have sex again?”
Max’s head shot up, his cheeks going pink. Ruby felt her stomach clench. She had expected the reaction from Max, but that still didn’t make it any less stressful to talk about. That was exactly why she put off this conversation. Seeing Max uncomfortable made Ruby uncomfortable too.
"Like... Right now, or?”
Ruby shook her head. “No, not right now. Unless you want to?
“Maybe?”
Max wasn’t looking at her, but Ruby wanted him to take his time, to share with her what he was comfortable with. She was learning to be patient. “It’s kinda... It’s weird, sorry.”
Ruby smiled and took Max’s arm, wrapping it around her as she leaned against Max’s chest. “We’re okay.”
She wasn't sure if she was, but that had to be enough for now.

Hello part 2
Chapters
Wow, I really didn’t I was going to get this much love for this story! You guys are totally the sweetest!
A small bit about Jennifer in case you haven't read Normal she becomes a psychiatrist for superpowered kids.
Also this story just keeps getting sadder and sadder...
Hello pt1
tagging: @nightwing-rules @guns-n-lilies @coffee-randomness @daisyboobear  @speedypan
When they got to the apartment it was quite. Too quite.
“Hello?” Jennifer called out.
“You…” a voice hissed a man in a beat up white tank and gray sweats sat on the couch. Mud seemed to smeared across his shirt. A gun in his hand.
No that wasn’t mud. That was dried blood.
The gun went off and Jennifer felt Robin’s hand on her arm pulling her out of the way and behind a ripped love seat.
“First I have a freak kid now a freak man comes into my home!” he fired a few more times as Batman charged him.
“Where’s your son?”
“Somewhere you can never have him.” The man said charging at Batman with superhuman strength letting out an almost chimpanzee-like scream. His arms seemed to grow as he threw Batman across the room.
“Find the kid,” Robin told Jennifer as he jumped into action to help Batman.
Jennifer quickly crawled across the dirty carpet toward the bedroom. She opened the first door to see a woman sprawled on the bed. Her legs and arms in rather awkward angles.
“No” she whispered getting closer. “Miss?” she called out hopefully.
There was no answer as the blank eyes of Ryan’s mom staired up at the ceiling. Sightless, dead.
“RYAN!” Jennifer yelled backing up. There was another room across the hall… she had told him to hide. He was just hiding like she told him to. He was ok, she knew it, she knew he was fine. He had to be fine.
A few legos crunched under her feet as she ran into the bedroom. Her heart pounding in her ears. “Ryan?” she choked out as she saw the limp arm of the boy half way out of the closet.
Batman had just subdued and tied up the man who was now slumped on the floor barely conscious. Jennifer walked slowly into the livingroom. Blood from the small boy who had been lying among his things in his closet. Lifeless from trauma to the head.
“Jen?” Robin asked, his voice laced with concern.
Jennifer looked down at the gun that lay a few feet from the man then back up at him. “You… you killed your own wife… your son.” the man looked up at her in a daze.
“He wasn’t good enough.”
“You are a monster,” she hissed getting down to his level, her eyes boring into his, “He was a CHILD!”
The man met her gaze than it slowly drifted to the gun, “Are you going to kill me? Pull the trigger, it won’t matter I was going to do it myself.”
Jennifer shook her head, eyes red with unshed tears, “I don’t want to kill you. I want you to live a long and horrible life knowing what you did.”
With that, she walked out to the balcony gasping for air as tears fell from her eyes.
“Look, it’s ok.” Robin's voice asked from behind her. She closed her eyes shaking her head trying to get the image of Ryan and his mom out of her head. She knew Robin was trying to make her feel better. to help her stop crying. But she didn't want to stop crying. What had happened was sad, the loss of life was worth grieving.
And who else would cry for a nameless mother and her child but her?
“No, it’s not. He killed those people. That boy wasn’t older than Faith!” he took her in his arms holding her close as she sobbed, “I’m not crying for me, I’m crying for them”
------
The next few weeks Jennifer was very quiet. To herself. Burying herself in her school work with the occasional call back home to her family.
“My dress is super floofy!” A 7-year-old Faith said spinning around her in full-bodied pink dress that their mother had gotten her the day before. “I can even do kicks in it! Look at my high kick.” Faith took a running start before flying in the air
“Jen Jen” she kept saying as she ran around the room while Her sister watched her climb over furniture and show her all the latest moves she was learning.
“Jen, This is how you jump and land in first,” she said leaping off the couch and landing before taking up a fighting pose, “Jen this is the stance to keep yourself centered.
“Jen…” she paused from her antics and walked slowly up to the camera, “Are you crying?”
Her older sister lets out a small laugh wiping away a few tears. While she knew her parents were doing everything in their power to try and calm down her younger sister watching the girl run around so full of life and that childlike wonder in her bright pink dress was the most comforting thing she had seen in weeks.
“I just miss you,”
Faith paused propping her elbows up on the coffee table that the computer screen was resting up so she was face to face with her sister. “When I miss you mommy says I should dance to take my mind off it. Maybe you should dance too…”
“That’s a good idea.”
“Thanks! I’m full of them… like I tied my bed sheets to the top posters of my bed and made a hammock with them like at that vacation place we went too…” And she was off again jumping around as she told her Jennifer story after story.
-----
Dick sat up from his history homework to a knocking on the window. Jennifer was standing outside on his balcony waving. Letting out a laugh Dick stood up walking toward the window.
"What are you doing out there?" he asked as he opened the door to his balcony. Grabbing his hand Jennifer dragged him out into the evening air. Behind her, some white sheets were tired together on the balcony. Trailing down to the yard.
"We are going to sneak out, come on"
"Bruce isn't even here."
The brunette frowned sharply turning to him. "Look fun sponge, put on your jacket and let's go."
Dick laughed slipping on his sneakers, "jeez ok cranky." She followed him with a huge smile on her face as she played with the tassel of her dark blue hoodie.
"We are going to be normal kids for a day. Sneak out and party on a school night."
“How rebellious of us,” Dick said as he followed her back outside where Jennifer started to descend on the sheets, "Alfred is going to kill you for running these sheets.” he added.
“I got these yesterday from the store.”
Dick swung down doing a backflip landing next to her. Jennifer laughed rolling her blue eyes, “Ok, showoff”
They took Dick’s bike which Jennifer had rolled out to the back yard since she didn’t know how to drive it. The plan was to meet up with a few people she had been in one of her college classes. Apparently, there was an AMAZING concert that one of the girls, Lucy, had gotten tickets for.
"Small fries!" Lucy, a blue haired girl, said waving as they rode up to the parking lot. Next to her was a chubby boy and pretty dark haired girl.
"My boyfriend is already inside." The girl said taking one last swig of her drink.
The chubby boy laughed he had a slight British accent. "We just had to wait for this alcoholic."
"No man gets left behind," the dark haired girl said taking the chubby boy's hand.
"These kids are a lot older than us" Dick whispered as they walked up to the booth with their tickets. He knew that Jennifer went to college, but this was the first time he was really realizing that she was really going to a school where the kids were much older than her.
"Yeah, but Lucy is really nice and we don't have to drink or anything." Jennifer whispered back, “We are going to be rebellious… but not THAT rebellious. I pinky swear” she added holding up her pinky.
“Now!” Lucy said turning to the two kids, “Before we go in” she held up some cans of body paint. “We gotta get dressed up.”
Jennifer pulled off her hoodie revealing a black tank top. “Could you do wings on my shoulders?”
“I can try,” the older girl said slowly starting to draw.
“And Dick wants a warrior stripes” Jennifer added shooting the dark haired boy a large smile.
“Ok come here cutie,” the other girl said as she started to draw on his face.
"As long as it's not a clown" the boy, Stephen, said laughing. The girl, Cory, rolled her eyes.
"God doesn't even joke, we Gothamites don't joke when it comes to clowns."
Once he was done he joined Jennifer who not only had wings on her shoulders and down her arms but a huge star on her right cheek and dots over her left side of her face.
Gently Jennifer took his hand in her’s “I just want to add one more thing to you” she whispered gently painting someone on his inner arm. Her gentle touch sending goosebumps thought his body. Glancing down he saw the word “Hero” written there in red. Glancing at her confused she just winked before turning back to the other kids.
The arena was basically a huge field fenced off with a stage and tons of lights. It was already filled with people of all ages all excited for the show.
“Here, ” Lucy said pulling out a few glow sticks cracking and shaking them so they started to glow. “You guys ready?” Jennifer nodded a huge smile on her face as the whole crowd started to get excited about them. It started from the front by the stage, a ripple of energy that flowed through the people like a tidal wave. As if everyone became one body joining in the excitement.
Softly at firs, the music started then loud pounding through them like a heartbeat. Everyone was screaming, singing, and dancing around Dick. He was swept up in the excitement the infectious energy that took him away to a place that was bearly a memory.
It reminded him of the circus. When the crowd would will with wonder. When, just for a moment, strangers became friends. Everyone was experiencing the save waves of feelings becoming one unit.
Song after song they danced the night away, Laughing and just basking in the feeling of being part of a community of strangers.
As the night wore on the venue became more and more crowded until Dick pulled her aside and helped her claim up a scaffolding so they could sit away from everyone. Shearing some cotton candy and just watching the world below with a sky full of stars above them.
They stayed there well after the music was over the other people had left. They sat there just talking about life. Story after story.
She told him about moving to Japan and how her sister had been so upset when Jennifer had moved back to Gotham a year later.
He told her about his life at the Circus.
She told him about her parents.
He told her about his.
Then he told her about Bruce taking him in. About becoming Robin. How his life changed in a moment so that it would never be the same again.
He told her about the first dead person he saw.
They sat in silence for a moment both caught up in their own thoughts. The sky slowly growing lighter and lighter as morning crept upon them.
“I feel like sometimes we are pushed to just grow up.” she finally said, “Always moving toward the next goal, next class, next life moment.” She sighed brushing her dark hair away from her face as she looked over the empty field where the concert had been held. "Sometimes we just need to enjoy these crazy moments. Live in the present"
At that moment he realized she hadn’t done this for her. She haddn’t dragged him to this party because of Ryan or because she wanted to party with her college friends.
She had done this was for him.
To make him a kid again.
The sun was slowly peeking up against the horizon casting rays of golden light to streak across Jennifer’s face. Her bright blue eyes sparking with the morning light.
He kissed her, gentle and soft as he ran his fingers through her hair. Letting her warmth consume him as he let himself go. Just be a kid for a moment. Just a moment where they were two kids who had ditched school to party all night and ending up falling in love.
She kissed him back, hesitant and slowly as her fingers traced the inside of his arm. A soft ghost of a touch as if she was trying read his thoughts through his skin. Understand what it was like for a boy to lose everything in a moment only to have such a heavy burden put upon him. The burden of a city.
Slowly Dick broke away studying her as she looked back with a small smile on her face. “I had fun tonight” she whispered. It was more of a question than a statement. He smiled back kissing her forehead.
“Me too”
She rested her head on his shoulder as they watched the rest of the sunrise holding hands.
Falling in love with Jennifer wasn’t like any other girl Dick had dated later in his life. Falling in love with Jennifer was slow at fist It was the simple smiles and the way she would listen to him. Like the melody of the songs that had just played. It was calm at first only to burst into lights and sounds that pounding into your very core.
It was as if he suddenly looked up and realized he was drowning.  Totally consumed as if he couldn’t breathe so in deep.
But he didn’t care.

Round 2 with ER and Update
So I’ve had a hell of a year so far. I had to go to the ER again last week because my tube got blocked completely and it was taken out to be replaced by this huge tube. It was all they had and said it was “only kind”. Not only did they do all this within minutes, they did it hurriedly and it all just went wrong. I had a major meltdown and panic attack, memories of treatment filled my mind and I couldn’t get it to stop. I begged them for something to calm me down but they gave me a little ativan shot that my body didn’t even recognize as a sedative until much later when I got home. Even with my meds I had taken earlier that makes me sleepy didn’t affect me until I got home.
They scraped up my nasal cavity which caused a lot of bleeding, but I also lost my voice for several days, had severe pain all throughout my head, nose, and throat, and had a slight fever for three days. They even pumped some of what was in my stomach out without warning to check if it was in place and that scared me half to death. It was incredible pain and all I could do was lie there in bed trying not to think about how much everything hurt and cry involuntarily. The acetaminophen I was taking only dulled the pain a little bit. I tried to sleep as much as I could to escape the pain. I couldn’t even stand bright light or loud sounds because it made my head hurt more.
Every movement was agony and by the time I got to my doctor’s appointment two days later, I didn’t care how it was coming out, that tube was coming out. In the end I begged my doctor to pull it and he did and oh my God the relief and the trauma I held in those past few days just exploded and I couldn’t stop crying for a while. I cried so much and was relieved I could speak again without excruciating pain (which all caused me to lose my voice for a couple days). But I still needed a feeding tube replacement that day.
So they told me I’d get one that didn’t go into my small intestine this time but just to my stomach like the old days. Which rather freaks me out because I have the chance of throwing up again. But it was better than the other two alternatives I’ve already gone through. (Turns out my first tube had kinked on the inside near the bottom located in my intestine which didn’t help and all those clots that never really got fixed because of the 30 hours without feed or cleaning) Thankfully, my doctor felt compassion for me and gave me a higher dosage of ativan and encouraged me and even hugged me. All the nurses in the doctor’s office are great and so is my doctor. They actually care compared to the other doctors I’ve dealt with. He was even thought that that tube was too big and wasn’t right. Told us to go directly to him now instead of dealing with the hospital side or ER.
So after the medicine started taking effect, they took me down to the operating room where they inserted the new tube. The nurse there was nice. She answered all my questions and showed us the differences between the NG tubes and helped my parents understand too about everything that was going to be done this time. It scared me like hell because I wasn’t given anything like the first time with an IV and whatever drug they gave me to relax me and had an amnesia inducing whatever it was. Just made it harder for me to remember what happened afterwards so I wouldn’t have bad memories later. I wanted that, but I’d have to wait to schedule it and stuff and I needed the tube that day. So I toughed it out and got it done with just the ativan. The nurse was nice when I asked her to hold my hand- which she did until it was all over. (She was there the first time too and held my hand then as well) All that happened over my dad’s birthday. What a wonderful birthday present I gave him haha
Things have gone much more smoothly with this tube. It’s in the other nostril though so I had time to heal. So far it hasn’t clogged or had any real big issues, except for tonight. I had a slight nosebleed from it rubbing against the inside of my nose. Scared me a bit, and when I tried to look up ways to help prevent that, all I got were stuff unrelated to my search that scared the crap out of me so not doing that again.
I’ve had two visitors so far of who I had not expected at all but greatly appreciated and enjoyed. I’ve really missed talking with people. And I got to hang out and watch anime a couple times with my friend online. It’d been months since I talked to anyone on voice so I was nervous but had fun. I can sit up and do stuff now with this tube so I don’t need to be constantly lying down or slightly elevated. Sleeping on the side that the tube is on is kinda risky. Last time I did that I think I bent the tube and the machine complained that there was a block in the line. No biggie though. I’ve learned to sleep on my back over the past two years since I hurt my shoulder. My dad hooked up my computer to the TV in the livingroom so I can chill in the big recliner. My throat starts to hurt if I talk to much though. I’m now 77lbs which is great. Much better than the 67lbs I hit going into this at the end of January. I just need to stay hydrated.
All in all, so far this has been a horrible experience, but it’s forced me to face my fears and smack some of them back. I don’t think I’ll be off the tube until probably august sometime. That’s me being optimistic. I have a lot of therapy that I’m still not ready to hit yet- not until my body has recovered enough to have a clearer mind. That and enough body fat for the medicine I’m taking to actually work. Everything’s hazy and I can’t think of words sometimes and I’m very weak. My parents are back at work so I’m trying to keep myself busy by myself without straining myself. Mostly I sit here watching netflix or playing games again or reading. Or sleep. My vivid dreams have returned with a vengeance though since I left the hospital. Every night I have them and I wake up soaked in sweat. Dx And I have to pee a lot. D:< My parents say I already look better. My face looks less gaunt. I don’t see it myself honestly. But our aim is to get me to 100lbs and never going under 90lbs again. Last year took a huge toll on me both mentally and physically and I knew something was wrong, but I wasn’t willing to face it. But now I am. I have to. Still hard to think that I was so bad and that I could have died again if we waited any longer. I don’t ever remember my heart having problems like this last time, but I was way worse this time than nine years ago.
The medical bills are going to be high, but my parents reminded me that every time we’ve had a medical crisis, God has helped us. And if He hadn’t been here for me all this time, I would have died. He’s helped me through all of this and given me the strength and determination to face these trials and make it through. He was there for me last time and He’s here for me this time too. And I’m so grateful. My parents have also been such a huge support for me during all this, I can’t thank them enough. They told me that we’re in this together. It makes me want to cry when I think of that because we haven’t been this close... I think ever. They’re all I have left that I can completely rely on. I’m truly blessed. And oddly enough, through most of this, I’ve been rather cheerful and calm. But I just remember the things i learned from my counselors from church and the Bible verses I memorized and I’m better. Not all the time obviously, but a lot more often. This past week has really tried me and pushed me to my limits, but I have to keep going.

BTS Reaction to your boyfriend cheating on you
Request: Hello can I request the BTS members having a younger sister and she comes to the dorm in tears one night, because she found out that her boyfriend of 9 months has been cheating on her/ been in a 4 year relationship and lied about it. He also lied to the sister saying that she meant more to him than just sex, and he took her virginity too.. this happened to me a few days ago, so that's fun.
Genre: Slight Angst // Fluff
Warning: Explicit Language // Cheating
Author’s Note: Wow okay these turned out to be a lot longer than I expected... It’s more like 7 mini drabbles rather than reactions... sorry lol
+ Y/E/N means “Your Ex’s Name”
Jin: You quietly crept through the front door, sulking all the while. You hear Jin call your name from the other room,“Y/N? Is that you?” he shouts cheerfully. “Yeah...” you half-heartedly reply. Jin peaks his head out from the kitchen and looks at you with concern written all over his face. “Hey... What’s wrong?” he asks you with worry in his eyes. Those three words were all it took for you to burst into tears for the nth time that night. Jin’s eyes grew wide at your sudden reaction as he hurriedly wrapped you in his warm embrace. “H- He... lied.... about everything.” You spoke between sobs.“Who? Who hurt you?” Jin asked in a panicked voice. “Y/E/N...” you whispered, causing an involuntary shutter due to the mere mention of his name. “Im so sorry, Y/N. You deserve so much better... Come into the kitchen. I’ve just finished making some dessert!” he says with a raise of the eyebrows as he blows you on of his famous kisses.
Tumblr media
Yoongi: You softly tap on the door to Yoongi’s studio as you wait for the “ok” to enter. “Come in,” you faintly hear through the thick barrier. You quietly step into the room closing the door behind you. You look up to see Yoongi typing away at his computer like a madman, completely immersed in his compositions. A good 30 seconds pass without either of you uttering a word before you finally speak up,”I went to the store and grabbed some more notebooks like you asked,” holding them up as you spoke. “Oh! Thank yo- woah...” he cuts himself off mid-sentence as he finally looks up at you. “What the hell happened to you?” he asks as he repeatedly looks you up and down. You scoff and roll your eyes,  ignoring his comment. “If that’s all you need i think I’m gonna head out...” you say, beginning to turn towards the door. “Um I don’t think so. You look like you haven’t slept in days, your eyes are all puffy and there’s dried tear streaks on your cheeks... What happened?” he asks you, giving you his full attention as he sets his laptop down. “He cheated...” You croaked out as you burst into tears, yet again. Yoongi got up from the couch and hugged you. He stood there holding you for what seemed like forever as he let you cry into his chest. When you finally calmed down you looked up, flashing him a smile,”Thank you, Yoongi...” you said. “Anytime, Y/N,” he replied as he made his way back to the couch. He sat down and looked up at you, almost like he was waiting for you to do something. You cocked your head to the side as you asked,”What?” He patted the seat next to him on the couch as he motioned for you to join him. “Well... Come on! This diss track isn’t gonna write itself is it?” he asked with a smirk.
Tumblr media
J-Hope: You glanced into the mirror in your car one last time. Despite your best efforts, your eyes were still noticeably red and puffy. With one last sigh you exited the vehicle and made your way to the front door. You knocked and no more than 5 seconds passed before the door flung open revealing an energetic, smiling Hobie. His smile quickly faded as he fully processed your disheveled appearance. “Y/N... What happened...?” He asked, seriously concerned. You felt the tear prickle in the corners of your eyes as you said the words,”It’s over between Y/E/N and I...” Before you could even finish the sentence, Hoseok had you wrapped up in a tight hug. Out of no where you feel J-Hope lift you up and throw you over his shoulder. You squealed in surprise as laughter soon took over you. “Hope, what exactly are you doing?” you asked bewteen giggles. Before you could get a response, you felt your back collide with the couch cushions. You look up to see Hobie towering over you making his cutest aegyo sounds along with some finger hearts. You burst out laughing at his actions and soon enough he’s laughing with you. “I’m glad I could get you to smile again! Mission Complete!” he said with a grin on his face. “Thanks Hope... I really don’t know what I’d do without you.” you relied back as your laughter began to die down.

Namjoon: You entered the dorms like you had so many times before, but this time was different. The usual giddy feeling you get from seeing the guys was replaced with a heavy weight on your chest. As soon as Namjoon rounded the corner you put on the best fake smile you could and gave him a hug while saying hello. “Alright you ready to start this movie marathon?” You said, pulling him into the livingroom before he could question you. “Y/N- How long have we known each other? A long time, right? So don’t you think by now that I can tell when you’re full of shit?” he asked you, trying to bite back the smirk creeping up on his lips. You plopped down on the couch with a sigh and focused your attention on your hands in your lap as you took a long shaky breath and said the words,”He cheated on me the entire time we were together...” After a miute of dead silence you looked up from your lap to see Namjoon staring at the ground with knitted eyebrows. “This is all my fault...” he began. “Joonie don’t be redicu-” “I’m not kidding, Y/N!” he cut you off. “I never liked him and I knew there was something fishy about him but I never would’ve thought the asshole was cheatnig on you!” he said, shaking his head the entire time. “I should’ve told you how I really felt about him... I’m so sorry, Y/N” he apologized sincerely. “It’s no one’s fault... I didn’t see it either. But thank you for being here for me now.” you said with a smile. “It’s the least I could do...” he retorted with a sympathetic smile. “Now- what do you say we start this movie marathon, yeah?” he asked as he jumped up from the couch excitedly.
Tumblr media
Jimin: You texted Jimin asking if he was busy and if you could see him to which he instantly replied telling you to come on over. You lightly tapped on the door to the dorm and within seconds, Jimin was standing directly in front of you. As soon as you laid eyes on him you broke down in tears, falling in his arms. He immediately caught you, shock written all over his face. “What did that dick do now?” he said angrily. “H- He... was seeing... someone else. While he w- was seeing m- me...” you sobbed. You felt Jimin’s breath hitch as his entire body tensed. “He did WHAT?” he shouted. “Jimin... He was my first...” you whispered. “I swear to god I’m gonna KILL THAT BASTARD!” he yelled, getting louder with each word. He suddenly let go of you and stormed past you towards the front door. “Jimin no! Please don’t!” “And why shouldn’t I? He KNEW you were giving him your virginity and he STILL has the audacity to cheat on you?” he shouted at you. You took a couple steps back, suddenly feeling so small under Jimin’s load roars. He saw your reaction to his anger-filled shrieks and sighed in defeat. He slowly crept towards you and wrapped you in another hug. “I’m sorry...” he whispered. “I just dont understand how that idiot could take advantage of someone as amazing as you.” “Thank you Chim...” you squeezed him as you backed up from the hug. “You’re welcome, Y/N.” he replied.
Tumblr media
Taehyung: The door to the dorm flew open before you even got the chance to knock. “Y/N!” Tae screamed excitedly in your face. “Hey Tae,” you replied, not nearly as enthusiastic as the boy in front of you. “What’s got you so down, sugar plum?” he asked you with a cock of the head. You stifled a chuckle at the interesting nickname and shook your head. “It’s nothin’, Tae. So why’d you call me over here?” you casually asked, trying to change the subject which, on a regular day, isn’t a hard thing to do. “Well I called you to hang out but were not doing anything until you tell me what’s upsetting you.” he frowned. “Really Tae, it’s nothing.” you replied shaking your head. “Tell me. Tell me. Tell me. Tell me-” “OKAY! Okay...” you smiled. “It’s just...” you paused as the tears filled your eyes yet again. “Y/E/N... I just found out that for the entire nine months i was with him, he was already in a relationship with another woman.... for the past four years...” you finished as the tears slowly slid down your cheeks. “That sick fuck did WHAT?” he yelled as he watched the tears fall from your eyes. “He was your first, yeah?” he asked in a loud, angry voice. “Yes...” you muttered a mousy response. “That prick deserves to get knocked upside the head, I’ll tell you that much!” he said, anger still evident in his voice. He was definitely more rhiled up than you’d expected him to be. “I know you’re angry Tae... And as soon as the sadness subsides, I will be too... But for now can you please just try to comfort me as I try to work through this...?” you pleaded. He looked at you, eyes immediately softening once he saw how fragile and broken you looked. “Of course, Y/N. I’m sorry I got so angry. It’s just, I hate seeing you so sad. It breaks my heart... What do ya say we order some take-out and watch some TV?” he asks you with that adorable rectangular smile of his.

Jungkook: You hugged the sweatshirt tighter to your body as the wind hit you with hard slaps from all directions while you walked through the town. You rounded the corner and with the dorms in sight, you began wiping your eyes free of tears. You made it to the door and knocked three times before you heard the pitter patter of Jungkook running to answer the door. He greets you with a smile and a hug, only to step back and give you a confused look. You give him an equally confused look in return before he asks you,”Your eyes are all red and puffy... were you crying?” he questions with much concern. “No... It’s just really windy outside and since I walked here, I guess it made my eyes water more tha-” “Y/N...” you were cut off by Jungkook as you slowly looked up from the ground to meet his eyes. “Why are you lying to me?” he asks you, almost looking hurt by your attempt. “It’s no big deal, Kook. I don’t want to bother you with my silly problems.” you say, stepping past him, only to have your wrist grabbed, preventing you from walking any further. “Y/N that’s bullshit and you know it. Now tell me whats got you so upset.” he says, giving you a comforting rub of his thumb against your hand. You keep your eyes focused on your hands as the tears start falling one by one. “Y/E/N already had a girlfriend. He’s had one for the past 4 years... This past 9 months was all a ruse to get me in bed with him...” You stated softly as the tears fell harder. You looked up and saw Jungkook looking at you in disbelief. “You’re kidding, right?” he asks you in a low tone. “God, I wish I was.” you retorted as your head fell to your hands, letting the sobs take over your body. Jungkook pulled your shaking figure into a tight hug, rocking the two of you back and forth as you cried into his chest. Eventually you calmed down and hugged him tighter, whispering a ‘thank you’ to him as he squeezed you back. “That’s what I’m here for. How bout i grab the ice cream out of the freezer and I’ll let you pick the movie?” he asks you as he raises one of his eyebrows. You feel a smile creep it’s way onto your lips as you nod your head. “You know me all too well, Kook.”

Life with
mr. Bunny.
Needless to say I didn’t get much done this week. It’s been weird and new trying to learn the ins and outs of being a pet owner.
We came back from the cottage on Sunday, and I spent the day relaxing at the apartment. My guy brought the bunny over in the evening, and we got his cage all set up. We had to barricade off our bedroom and the living room with random objects (now we have actual doggy fences set up) but otherwise the bunny gets to hop around and explore. He has been getting a lot braver. In the beginning he didn’t want to step off the rugs because the floor is too slippery for a quick getaway if something scares him. Now he loves visiting the bathroom and going around from the kitchen to the livingroom and back to the kitchen. At first I had a hard time adjusting to the bunny since I’m generally bad with change. I felt almost insulted when the bunny decided to stomp his foot at 4am for some reason and I couldn’t sleep. It’s like how dare this guy come into my house and abuse my hospitality and change my life and routines like this. However he has been staying calm and I’m starting to get used to the routines of feeding him, swiping the floors before bedtime, and scooping the poop every couple of days. I love singing ABBA’s super trooper but with pooper scooper when I clean the cage. He does still occupy a bunch of my brain space but I guess we’ll both settle into more of a routine as the weeks go by. He’s a very loving bunny. I just need to learn to not stress about his eating and every single sneeze.
So, I absolutely did not get any thesis work or JLPT done on Monday. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the office working on our intensive summer course stuff. On Wednesday evening me and a couple of colleagues put together our dance teaching schedule for next year and it’s a bit problematic for me. My own ballet classes were moved from Tuesday and Thursday to Tuesday and Friday, which means I have to either give up Friday’s ballet or teaching Friday’s dance classes. If I teach Sundays I won’t take Friday’s classes and can go to my own ballet, but if I can’t take Sunday I have to take Friday. I won’t take both Friday and Sunday because I need a weekend. Both days kind of suck but nobody wants to teach those days anyway so somebody has to take the shitty gigs. I have a lot to think about.
On Thursday I had a JLPT study date, and spent the rest of the day playing ACNL with my friend. We got over a hundred island medals by repeatedly owning the official scavenger hunt. I made a mushroom sauce with pasta. I’ve been doing really bad financially so I was glad to find some mushrooms in the freezer. One thing about moving to live on my own is sometimes I legitimately cry over food because it’s not just eating toast 3 times a day or getting pizza, and sometimes satisfying a craving just feels so good. I was craving pasta for a few weeks and it was so good. Now I’m craving mashed potatoes again but I probably have to wait until I get my paycheck. I’ve been living off of whatever’s in the cupboards and what my boyfriend buys. He hasn’t been around a lot so it’s been oatmeal and bread for the most part. My ED is happy about not having food, but my normal self knows that starving isn’t the way to sustainably lose weight. I just want to go running, and that’s what I hate about living downtown. The best running paths are a ways off and I can’t run on asphalt because it hurts my knees.
My ballet group went on a fun picnic yesterday. It was a beautiful and sunny day, and we spent it on the beach. We even went to have some fun at an outdoor gym, and tried to play beach volley but there was a tournament. I’ve had some real anxiety today because yesterday was so much fun and all I’ve done today was a bit of JLPT, watching random anime and taking an hour long nap. It’s a sunny and warm day - perhaps the last one this summer, who knows. And here I am in an apartment watching TV or on the computer. A serious case of FOMO but my parents are at the cottage, my guy is at work and my friend is at her granny’s place. I don’t really have other friends that I could spontaneously ask out. At least mr. Bunny has been able to spent the entire day outside his cage since me and my guy are going to be gone for two days. We’re going to visit my cousins tomorrow. We get to play so much video games it’s not even real.
I’m hoping I can spend a couple of days at the uni library on Monday. I have to spend Tuesday at the office and the intensive summer course welcoming evening is on Tuesday as well so it’ll be a long day. A study date, ballet class and a Skype meeting on Wednesday and I’m taking Thursday off as it’s also my guy’s day off. We do have a sauna evening with our intensive course students though but yeah. I have a bunch of errands to take care of next week as well. So much for a summer vacation I guess. Hopefully I get to take a week or so completely off at some point. Probably won’t happen because of thesis and JLPT though but... Maybe in August when my mum is on holiday.
Oh that’s right, it’s the 1st of July 2017 today! ☼
