Gold Dust Woman
Pairing: rockstar!joel miller x actress!reader
Author’s note: oh you can’t pay me to stop writing these two now
Summary: Oscars season with Joel [1.1k]
Warnings: anxiety, two idiots being grossly in love
Tumblr media
You're on set when you find out you got nominated for an Oscar. Hannah, your director, stopped the scene but made sure the cameras were still rolling as she walked up to you. "The Academy just nominated you for Best Actress for The Beginning of the End." She told you, and you immediately burst into tears. The cast comes out from every corner of the sound stage to hug you and tell you how excited they are for you. It's a beautiful moment surrounded by love and pride, and you struggle to keep the Oscars out of your head as you try to go back to work. Joel buys you flowers and takes you and the girls to a nice dinner the night you find out about the nomination.
You're a nervous wreck in the weeks leading up to the award show. Sierra tries to tell you to enjoy the night and not worry about the outcome, but it's hard. Winning an Oscar has been your dream since you were a kid, and the idea that you're this close is freaking you out. You spend your time working, probably a little more than you should, and putting together an outfit for the night. If you're gonna lose, you might as well look good doing it.
On the day of the Oscars, you spend the whole day getting ready, letting your stylist and makeup artists take over the process so you don't have to worry. They put you in a stunning royal blue dress with gold embellishments adorning the bust and the skirt. Joel matches with a suit made specifically for him from the same fabric as your dress with the matching embellishments over his shoulders. He even put his own touch to his jacket, adding a rainbow pin to his lapel to show support for Ellie, who recently came out. His new favorite thing is finding anything with a rainbow on it for him or Ellie and wearing it proudly, so you're not too surprised when you catch him adding it to his jacket.
You each take some glam shots in your house before leaving for the Dolby Theatre, your knee bouncing anxiously the whole ride over. Joel is the perfect distraction with his touselled curls and sleek black sunglasses covering his eyes. He looks annoyingly hot and is the most perfect supportive partner ever, promising to love you still, no matter the outcome. You're only slightly frustrated with how attracted you are to him. When you get to the red carpet, he lets you take all the solo shots before you finally convince him that it's okay to come to take pictures with you. "I didn't wanna be in the way!" He says, making you laugh.
You get to meet celebrities you've never gotten to meet before, and you also get to see lots of old friends. When Jack Nicholson casually offers you a sip of whiskey from his hidden flask, you decide you've officially made it. You and Joel do the Glambot with him spinning you under his arm, showing off how your dress flows, and he waits patiently while you do interviews talking about what a privilege it is to be nominated and how excited you are to see everybody. By the time you're able to get into the Dolby Theatre and sit at your table, you're still incredibly nervous, but you feel a little bit better. Wine helps too.
You have two glasses with dinner before deciding to stop so you wouldn't be too drunk in case you do win. Joel is incredibly affectionate as you sit there with anxiety rolling off you in waves. He holds your hand, kisses your cheek, rubs your knee, anything to get your mind off how slow the categories are moving. When they finally get the Best Actress category, he grabs your hand in both of his and squeezes as they announce all the names. The women you're nominated alongside are extremely talented people who've been in the industry twice as long as you have. Their movies have made you cry, laugh, smile, and rethink your life, and isn't that what the best art is supposed to do?
"And the Oscar goes to..." the announcer says as he opens the envelope. You keep an even face, knowing the cameras are pointed at you, as you squeeze Joel's hand with every bit of strength. The second you hear your name, your ears ring, and the world explodes into white noise. Carolina and Ryan jump up and down from one table away, and the people you've modeled your career after are standing and applauding you. You find your feet and stand, hugging and kissing Joel before he escorts you to the front of the stage, falling back as you reach the stairs. The announcers hug you and hand you the heavy gold statue and the card with your name on it. They step aside and let you have the floor as a timer behind the camera counts down.
"Wow. Oh, my God. This is incredible," you say breathlessly. "Um, I'd like to thank the Academy for this amazing opportunity. I'm so honored to be nominated alongside some of the best actresses of our time, and I don't know if I will ever do anything as cool as this. When I made this movie, I was in a really weird headspace, and I didn't know how to bring this story to life, but I knew I wanted to do and I wanted to do it justice. Our director, Lilah Hanover, helped me do some incredible character work and gave me the space to try new things. I owe you my life, Mrs. Hanover. I want to thank my parents for letting me move to New York City and start my career. Ryan and Carolina, you guys have been my best friends since the beginning, and I couldn't imagine doing life without you," you speed up as your timer ticks down, and you try to go through your list.
"I couldn't have done this without my amazing team of people who support me every day and allow me to create art that makes me feel like I'm doing something worthwhile. I love what I do, and I never take it for granted. Um, to Sarah and Ellie Miller, I'm so honored to be in your lives, and I love you forever. Joel Miller," you find his eyes as he sits at the bottom of the stage, and you smile. "You are my rock, my safe place, my second chance, everything. There are no words to describe how much I love you, but I will spend the rest of my life trying to find them. Thank you." With that, the music plays out, and you follow the announcers backstage, where you look at your Oscar for the very first time and burst into tears.
Bonus: instagram stories after your win 😌

'Cillian Murphy is one of the best actors working today, and his work has consistently been underrated by movie fans that aren’t familiar with his extensive track record. While many viewers have seen him thanks to his collaborations with Christopher Nolan on Batman Begins, Inception, Dunkirk, and now Oppenheimer, there’s also a large segment of fans who love him as Thomas Shelby on Peaky Blinders; the British crime series that is essentially a period version of The Sopranos gained even more popularity when it debuted on BBC and then went international on Netflix.
Murphy has been in many underrated gems, including his Golden Globe nominated performance in the coming-of-age LGBTQ+ dramedy Breakfast on Pluto, the Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or winner The Wind That Shakes The Barley, and the delightful film geek romantic comedy Watching the Detectives. The buzz surrounding his performance in Oppenheimer suggests that perhaps Murphy could gain his first nomination at the Academy Awards; he shockingly has never received an Oscar nomination. However, Murphy certainly deserved one for his role in 28 Days Later, Danny Boyle’s zombie movie masterpiece that effectively changed the genre forever. Here’s why 28 Days Later is Cillian Murphy’s best performance.
Emotional Authenticity
George Romero had effectively created the zombie movie with his masterpiece Night of the Living Dead, and had updated the genre with the 1978 satire Dawn of the Dead and the 1985 military drama Day of the Dead. However, zombie movies released by filmmakers other than Romero in the years that followed simply tried to emulate his formula that had been so successful. It wasn’t until Boyle took a new spin on the undead in 28 Days Later that the zombie movie felt fresh again; Boyle used digital filmmaking techniques to make the film feel grounded in reality with a real sense of time and space. The realism made the film more authentic, and Murphy reflected that in his performance.
Murphy’s character, Jim, wakes up to a version of London that he no longer recognizes. The familiarity of the streets that he grew up on is gone, and he’s shocked to see that the cities are completely empty, and he cannot see any other living being in sight. Murphy’s reaction is one of confusion and fear that is rarely seen in zombie films, or horror films in general. It’s always obnoxious when the audience feels like they are smarter than the characters, but Murphy appears to be just as perplexed as to what’s going on as the viewer would be if they didn’t know that 28 Days Later was a zombie movie going in. The decisions that Jim makes from then on all seem logical, and Murphy’s inherent intelligence makes him perfect at capturing that side of the character.
A Father-Like Figure
Jim ultimately meets the woman Selena (Naomi Harris), the father Frank (Brendan Gleeson), and Frank’s daughter Hannah (Megan Burns). While Jim’s initial interactions with Selena are based on their mutual desire to survive, they slowly begin to trust each other as they both reach the realization that they must let each other know if they are infected so that the threat can be properly dealt with. Murphy and Harris do a great job at showing that Jim and Selena are becoming close because they need each other, not because they are falling in love. While it’s suggested that they may be forming a more romantic relationship than had previously been seen, the film is subtle in showing their platonic attachment.
What is quite powerful is seeing Jim become a paternal figure for Megan after Frank is infected, and the ground is forced to kill him. Murphy shows tenderness as Megan mourns, and helps guide her to make safe decisions once the group starts trekking into more dangerous territory where they could be exposed to a potential infection.
It’s nice to see Murphy in a softer role, as he is often typecast as villains in films like In Time and Batman Begins. Even his more heroic characters like Tommy on Peaky Blinders tend to be very cold and reserved, so 28 Days Later stands or even in comparison to those. Even though the Academy Awards rarely nominate horror films, and a zombie film has never received any major nominations, Murphy truly deserved to be placed in consideration for a Best Actor trophy.
A Complete Character Arc Jim’s character arc concludes beautifully, and there’s a real sense of closure to seeing him escape with Megan and Selena after they ward off the threats of a ruthless military group that wants to sexually take advantage of the women in order to celebrate in a vile ceremony. The 2007 sequel 28 Weeks Later did not have Murphy, and though it was a solid follow up, the lack of a character like Jim made it clear that Murphy had added something special.
Murphy has hinted that it’s a role he might be open to returning to. He referred to Boyle’s script for 28 Months Later as “very appealing,” and recent reports indicate that a version of the final draft is now complete. It would be great to see Murphy return to his best role.'

I need to go through the Emmys lists better but it’s insane how awards are concentrated on the same few shows, particularly in drama. I honestly didn’t watch a lot of the drama shows so it’s hard to weigh in too much.
Thoughts- we all know Succession is going to clean up but some of the noms are overboard.
I like White Lotus but am not obsessed with it the way the industry is..to me it’s one of those where I alway feel like they think the show is more of a biting satire than it actually is. Again some of the noms are ridiculous but I am glad to see Meghan Fahy got in. Of anyone in S2, she’s the one that I think deserved.
James Marsden should be everywhere.
I’m happy to see Lizzy Caplan not getting forgotten about after starring in two pretty high profile shows this year, but not ones that had tons of awards buzz.
Some of the Ted Lasso noms are ridiculous and I’m happy for everybody but some are clearly just because the Academy likes the show and clicks every box where it’s nommed. Hannah deserves. Phil Dunster finally got his Emmy nom and deserves. Sam Ryder getting nommed for music deserves.
I love all the Abbott love. I think this is Quinta’s to lose in lead. I expected Jenna’s nom and am fine with it. Do I think the show is really Best Comedy? No.
Which brings me to I HATE all the weird category stuff where anything that is a half hour gets called a comedy whether it is or not. The Bear deserves awards praise for sure. I think Jeremy is going to win Best Actor and Ayo is certainly in the mix ton win in a very tight supporting category (Sheryl, Janelle, Ayo and Hannah IMO are in the mix to win potentially), but on no planet is The Bear a comedy. Barry is also not a comedy. The category stuff just bugs because there is this weird thing where comedy is looked down upon as lesser then when it’s just as hard if not harder than drama, so when the comedy categories are filled with dramas it’s weird.
The big surprise snub to me was Harrison Ford. Shocked on that one.
I’m sure I have more thoughts. Will circle back.
I guess the one good thing is shows like Succession and Ted Lasso will be gone next year so will open up a ton of Emmy space for other show. I’m hoping when TL goes that it opens up spots for Lisa Ann Walters and Chris Perfitti on Abbott.

Album Review: Billie Piper – Honey to the B
Billie Piper, is an English actor and musician, she first came to the public attention when she released her debut single ‘Because We Want To’ at the age of fifteen, which made her the youngest female artist ever to enter the UK Singles Chart. She however did not truly come to be a household name until she starred as Rose Tyler, a companion to the Doctor, an alien time traveller, on the first season of the revival of the BBC show Doctor Who back in 2005. Following on from her tenure on Doctor Who she also starred as Hannah Baxter, the titular and main character, on the hit show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She was also Brona Croft/Lily Frankenstein in the horror-drama Penny Dreadful, and she was nominated for a British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Netflix Original Collateral, where she played Karen Mars. More recently she co-created and starred in the Sky Atlantic series, I Hate Suzie, a comedy/drama in which she plays the titular character, Suzie Pickles.
As I touched on above, Billie Piper, or as she was known back then, just Billie, is a former musician, having retired from the music business in 2003 to focus on acting, but prior to this point she released two albums, the first of which we are here to discuss today. Yes, we will be reviewing her debut album ‘Honey to the B’ which was released on 19th October 1998.

John Gavin
Everything Explained About the Gorgeous and Highly Successful Constance Towers
Introduction
Constance Mary Towers was born in Whitefish, Montana, on May 20, 1933. She is an actress and singer, most known to the public for her portrayal of Helena Cassadine on the soap opera "General Hospital," which she played from 1997 to 2017. She also had prominent roles in the late 1950s and early 1960s, including those in "The Horse Soldiers" (1959) and "Shock Corridor" (1963), among other shows.
Early Life, Education, and Career
The sole child of Irish immigrants Ardath L. and Harry J. Towers, she was selected as one of several young actors for radio shows when a talent agent found her when she was just seven years old. The search was carried out in Montana. For the next three years, she began her career doing child voice acting in radio shows in the Pacific Northwest. When her father was transferred, Constance and her family relocated to New York City, where she studied singing with Beverley Peck Johnson and attended the Julliard School of Music and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Establishment of a Robust Career
Constance Towers began her acting career at a young age, had a brief hiatus, and then came back in 1955 in the supporting role of "Bring Your Smile Along" and again in 1956 in the supporting role of "Over-Exposed," a crime-thriller movie. Her first major part came in the American Civil War film "The Horse Soldiers" (1959) directed by John Ford, which also starred William Holden and John Wayne as Hannah Hunter. Her career as an actor continued when she starred in the 1960 movie "Sergeant Rutledge" and the 1963 mystery-drama "Shock Corridor," costarring Gene Evans and Peter Breck.
Ascent to Fame and Success
Constance's career advanced and her name gained popularity as the 1960s went on. Consequently, Constance Towers played alongside Anthony Eisley and Karen Conrad in the crime-drama film "The Naked Kiss" (1964) and had a supporting role in the Academy Award-nominated picture "Fate is the Hunter" (1964), which starred Glenn Ford, Nancy Kwan, and Rod Taylor.
Bottom Line - What Is She Doing Now?
At the conclusion of the 2017 season, Constance's portrayal of Helena Cassadine was killed off, therefore she won't be returning for the upcoming season. Where is she now? Constance Gavin lost her spouse, John Gavin, and took some time to grieve. She hasn't done much acting since thus she doesn't currently have any acting credits to her name because she was preoccupied with her husband's condition. I hope Constance makes a comeback to the entertainment industry soon. 'The news surrounding 28 Years Later is highly promising, as it embraces the key to 28 Days Later's $85 million success. The original film excelled thanks to the combined efforts of directors Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, as well as Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy's lead performance. It was a critical and commercial triumph, grossing $84.6 million on an $8 million budget and receiving high audience and critic scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
The original horror/sci-fi film had a unique aesthetic that separated it from other films in the zombie subgenre. Boyle's use of early digital cameras allowed 28 Days Later to shoot in busy London areas for short bursts of time, helping the film stay under budget. This sacrificed some of the film's video quality. The dip in quality worked in its favor, however, as it fed into the gritty quality of the world. The film's sequel, 28 Weeks Later, was a success in its own right, but it failed to capture the magic of the original. Fortunately, 28 Years Later will capitalize on what made the first film so special.
28 Years Later Will Reunite Danny Boyle & Alex Garland (Which 28 Weeks Later Didn't)
Boyle and Garland are highly recognizable names in Hollywood. Boyle has directed films since the '90s and is most known for Trainspotting and the Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire. Garland, who wrote 28 Years Later and other scripts in the 2000s, began directing his own films in the 2010s. Ex Machina and Annihilation are among his greatest accomplishments. With the combined recognition the two filmmakers share, it's exciting to see both of their names attached to the upcoming project, as neither of them returned for 28 Weeks Later.
The directing team already promises to bring back the excitement of 28 Days Later, and it's even more thrilling that Murphy is reprising his role in 28 Years Later. Murphy also did not return for 28 Weeks Later, something that may have worked against the sequel. Murphy has expressed passion about a 28 Days Later sequel. Following the success of Peaky Blinders and Oppenheimer, he's also reached a new career peak, with widespread recognition for his performances. Combining his buzz with the prospect of a great writer/director duo could make 28 Years Later a box office hit.
28 Years Later Would Be Great For Danny Boyle & Alex Garland
Boyle is recognized as a highly talented director, but he hasn't had a hit in recent years. His latest projects, the miniseries Pistol and film Yesterday, were both considered below average for a director of his caliber. Garland also had his first directing miss with Men, an A24 film that only brought in $11.2 million at the box office, with a 6.1 score on IMDb. His miniseries, Devs, was met with critical acclaim, but he hasn't had a successful film project since Annihilation in 2018. 28 Years Later could be an opportunity for both filmmakers to land a massive hit.
While the two acclaimed directors have nothing to prove in their craft, great artists being at the top of their game is important for the film industry. At a time when Barbie and Oppenheimer have been box office behemoths, a horror film with a great director combo could be great to keep viewers going to theaters. Boyle and Garland collaborated on more than just 28 Days Later, as Garland also wrote the script for Boyle's Sunshine. This partnership has worked for them before, and it should be an opportune way for both of them to make more great films.
What Could 28 Years Later's Story Be?
The end of 28 Days Later offers hope for its main characters. Murphy's Jim, Naomie Harris' Selena, and Megan Burns' Hannah find some safety in a cottage before being spotted by a fighter jet, which hints at them being saved. 28 Weeks Later never addresses what happened to the characters following this ending. However, the sequel indicates most of the population of the British Isles were wiped out by the virus.
This chain of events implies that Jim and his companions were saved. Indeed, Murphy's return backs this line of thinking. As such, 28 Years Later's story could see Jim in a now-ravaged Earth, hoping to begin rebuilding before the virus returns again. It would be similar to the plot of 28 Weeks Later, just with the characters that made 28 Days Later so great.'

The Fearless Tour – Swift's first headlining concert tour – grossed over $63 million, with Taylor releasing a documentary of the tour that was aired on television and released on DVD. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was the top selling album of 2009 in the US. The second single, "You Belong With Me", peaked at number 2 in the US. Five singles were released throughout 20, with "Love Story", the lead single, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 1 in Australia. Swift's sophomore album, Fearless, was released on November 11, 2008. She won awards at the CMAs, ACMs and AMAs while also securing a nomination for Best New Artist at the 50th Grammy Awards. She became the youngest person to be honored with the BMI Songwriter of the Year title in 2007. Swift released her first two EPs "The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection" and "Beautiful Eyes" in October 2007 and July 2008, respectively, winning accolades for all of her first three projects. Throughout 20, Taylor released four more singles from her debut album and all of them appeared on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Swift was also the opening act for Brad Paisley’s 2007 tour to promote her album and spent 20 doing promotion on radios, television, and being the opening act for country artists in the US. It peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard 200, where it spent 275 weeks. Her first lead single “Tim McGraw” was released in June 2006, and Taylor Swift’s self titled album was released later that year, on October 24, 2006. Taylor then started working on her debut album and persuaded Big Machine to hire Nathan Chapman to produce her songs. She became one of Big Machine's first signings, with her father purchasing a three percent share of the company. She believed she was running out of time because she wanted to capture the early years of her life on an album while it still represented what she was going through.Īt a showcase in Nashville's Bluebird Cafe in 2005, Swift caught the attention of Scott Borchetta, a record executive who was preparing to form an independent record label, Big Machine Records. Later, she became the youngest artist signed by Sony/ATV publishing house, but left the group at age 14. In Nashville, Taylor started working with songwriter Liz Rose during two-hour writing sessions every Tuesday afternoon after school. She graduated high school a year early because of that. Two years later, she transferred to Aaron Academy to better accommodate her touring schedule through homeschooling. To help Taylor's break into country music, her father transferred his job to an office in Nashville when she was 14, and the family relocated to a lakefront house in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where Taylor attended high school. With it, came the opportunity to attend meetings with major record labels. In 2003, with the help of a family friend manager, she modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch and had an original song included on the show's compilation CD. When the rising star was around 12 years old, a computer repairman named Ronnie Cremer taught her to play guitar and helped with her first efforts as a songwriter, leading Taylor to write "Lucky You", her first song ever. Swift spent her early years on a Christmas tree farm with her parents.Īt age 9, Swift started taking vocal and acting lessons in New York City and later decided to shift her focus toward country music, inspired by Shania Twain and Faith Hill. Her father, Scott Swift, is a stockbroker her mother, Andrea Swift, is a homemaker who previously worked as a fund marketing executive and her brother, Austin, is an actor. Taylor Alison Swift is a singer-songwriter born on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania.

Coast Movie Review
Coast is reminiscent of the cult classic the teen girl “coming of age” movie, Foxes, from the late 1970s. Foxes takes place in Hollywood, CA., stars Academy Award winner Jodi Foster, and features Cherie Currie from the band The Runaways. Coast is set in rural Santa Maria, CA., features an Oscar winner (Melissa Leo), and has the rock ‘n roll connection (Mia Frampton, daughter of Peter, and Kane Ritchotte, son of a lesser-known guitar player, Rocket Ritchcotte, star). In both films, there are strong female bonds, drunken parents, unhealthy love relationships, drugs, and dreams of bigger and better things in life.
Tumblr media
Sixteen-year-old music-freak Abby (Fatima Ptacek) feels trapped in her agricultural town where the young and starry-eyed clash with staid generations of farming tradition and blue-collar jobs. Abby’s mom, Debora (Cristela Alonzo), is young but she’s beaten down from divorce and drinking—she only finds solace in her work as a nurse and becomes close with a terminal patient (Melissa Leo), who imparts her wisdom as a parting gift. When Abby falls for Dave, the lead singer of a touring rock band called Pinata Jones, she is torn between leaving her family and friends behind or going out into an exciting but possibly overwhelming world.
Since music is a major part of Abby’s rebel life, the casting of the members of the fictional band Pinata Jones was crucial. They were too lightweight for my taste, but overall they’re believable and that’s because the cast is made up of bona fide musicians. Coast’s live performances and original score feature tunes composed by Alex Walker and Christian Zucconi of Aloke, and Hannah Hooper of Grouplove. Original songs are performed by Pinata Jones, which is made up of members of The Ceremonies and led by the film’s male lead Kane Ritchotte, also a real-life musician (Portugal. The Man, Haim).
Coast has a dreamy, free-flowing feel thanks to cinema verité style cinematography and loose editing. Directed by Jessica Hester and Derek Schweickart from a screenplay by Cindy Kitagawa, Coast is a film that will appeal to teenage girls—and their mothers. Watching together as a family may even spark discussion about growing up, friendship, rites of passage, and planning the future.

My Dream-
Granger
A TV Series about Hermione Granger at
Clifden Institute of Magic
Because Witches & Wizards who want to specialize need to study for an additional 3-4 years of study, preferably at an Institute of Magic. Duh!
Background-
IMs (Institutes of Magic) came into formation around the year 800. There had always been specialized organizations/program/academies for high levels of Magic. They usually took less than a handful of students each year. Around 800AD the area now know as Nairobi, Kenya had more than 20 of these academies. They joined together and the first IM was founded. IMs were few and small for many years. In the 1800s they continued to grown in enrollment and prestige. This was continued into the 1900s when these IMs became funded by magical governments offering exceptional witches and Wizards the chance to study advanced magics for free. Although specialized academies still exist throughout the world, there are only 25 Official IMs Globally. Although there have been rumors for years about secret IMs for high level dangerous or experimental Magic, none have been confirmed.
Clifden IM , in County Leitrim Ireland, was founded in the year 1050 by Merlin and Morgana High Wizard and Witch of Camelot. The IM itself is invisible to muggles. Only once in the early 1800s did a muggle once view Clifden. He believed it to be the gateway to another universe or perhaps Heaven. He went insane looking for it and eventually recreated the castle from what he remembered . The real Clifden Institute is 1000 times larger and more grand than the muggle replica castle. It is said to be one of the most expansive and beautiful Magical institutes on earth. While it is far from being the oldest, it is considered an elite school competing with Bayou IM in New Orleans, Louisiana USA, Nairobi IM, and Scholomance IM in Transylvania, Romania. (Rumored to be run by the devil to ward off Muggle, but actually run by Magical Creatures -Vampires-Werewolves-Giants-etc who were originally not allowed in traditional IMs, and still face discrimination in employment, the school's speciality is The Dark Arts)
The Show-
Hermione is awarded a special entry into a top level DADA program due to her fighting Voldemort. It’s her secondary field. Her Primary study is Comparative Magical Politics & Wizarding Relations . Hermione is beginning to think about a career in government. Normally student decide these things their final year of Hogwarts, but Hermione missed that year due to her Horcrux search. After graduating in 1999, she continued onto Clifden Institute of Magic.
Ron mises her. He supports her though. Time are hard with the distance. He’s undergoing intense training with Harry and of focused on work, but misses her a lot. Jealousy may occurs and they may go their separate ways for a while, but they always come back to each other. (It’s a TV series, we need the Drama!!)
Hermione & friends dealing with their PTSD of being children of war.
Hermione & her BFFs Ginny, Kellah, Angie, Ali, and Chelsea (aka Chelsea Cho-Chang, because “Cho” liked Quidditch but didn’t loved it and wants to leave her jock friends attitude, and childhood nickname in the past) hanging out, practicing magic on levels they didn’t know existed, dating. It’s PG-13 so nothing to out there, we want teens to see a beautiful intelligent Black leader in Hermione as she growns up, so it will be darker with more adult themes, but still PG-13.
Hermione Roomies/Friends/Classmates/Emenies
Apartmentmates- Parvarti & Padma Patil, Kellah Williams. Ginny Weasley (first woman in the family to go to a IM, her mom is very proud)
Next door student apartments
-Percy Weasley & Penelope Clearwater. Percy worked the ministry taking corospondance classes in Comparative Magical Politics & Wizarding (Hermione's same field) at the ministry’s Intern program, as they were funded by his intern job. After the battle at Hogwarts Percy needed a change, and after a breakdown he decided to quit his job and become a full time student. He is now a third year student and Hermiones’s SA (Sorcerers Apprentice/ AKA TA). He currently lives with his girlfriend Penny.
- Dean Thomas. Seamus Finnigan. Neville Longbottom. Ibrahim “Ibi” Bem. Emmanuel “Manny”Bem (who BTW- parents were Voldy supporters even though their mom’s big bro, AKA Uncle Kingsley fought him at Hogwarts. Their parents were killed a few weeks after the battle of Hogwarts and now the boys are being raised by their Uncle the new Minister of magic. They aren’t handeling all their new found “fame” too well.
- Angelina “Angie” Johnson. Alicia “Ali” Spinnet. Two of Hermiones closest friends.
- Hannah Abbot. Susan “Susie” Bones. Marietta “Mari” Edgecombe. Chelsea Cho Chang.
-Justin Finch Fletchley. Ernie Macmillan. Zachariah “Zach” Smith. Michael Corner
-Off Campus Student Mansion. Cuz you know these girls pulled some strings, pooled their money and bought the nicest place in Clifden.
-Pansy Parkinson. Mafalda “Mal” Weasley. Flora Carrie. Hesita “Hess” Carrow. Daphnee & Astoria “Tori” Greengrass.
-Draco Malloy. Blaise Zambini. Joshua “Pike”.
Off campus apartments ( non students)
Lee Jordan. With occasional long visits from his BFF George Weasley who really wants to hang out with Angie.
“Friends/Frenemies” who drop by for a few episodes throughout the series
(these people don’t go to Clifden as Students but still can come by
“ Katie”Bell. Leanne. Oliver Wood. Cormac McLaggen. “Romi” Vane. Dennis Creavy. Luna Lovegood. “Greg” Goyle. “Millie” Bullstrode. Adrian Pucey. Chase Vasiey. Marcus Flint. “Theo” Nott. Miles Bletchley. Graham Montague. Graham Pritchard. Malcom Braddock. Gemma Farley. Cassius “Cass” Warrington. Harry Potter. “Ron”/“Charlie”/“Bill” & Flure Weasley/ . (Some deep cuts here- if you know you know)
Also let’s be honest, HP was pretty white. Black Hermione being roommates with The Patil sisters, & Kellah, and BFFs with Angie, Ali, Dean, Lee, the Bem Bros, & Chelsea would be pretty cool. They have to kick Blaise’s Anti-muggle ass though.
Ps 19 years ago, Snape one got stupid potion drunk after he ran into a Lily-Lookalike visiting London from Canada. He saw her again that night, and being that she had just had a bad breakup and he looked like her goth musician boyfriend, well... lets just say, Draco is going to have surprise roommate who just graduated from Ilvermorny and reminds him very very much of an old teacher, with Lilly’s eyes of course 😋
