Hi there, hello.

First of all, I want to apologise for my sudden disappearance. I mean, I guess I shared certain changes about my life (marriage, kids, new job, moving to a new city and whatnot) so it's not that sudden, but you know... a general post might have been clearer.

Over the past few years, whenever I felt nostalgic or bored, I definitely browsed some of the old tags + blogs I used to follow. But with too many additional responsibilities and frankly, the desire to get away from fandoms and social media for a while, I never had the urge to come back here... until very recently.

You can blame a certain TV show (Netflix's Wednesday) for that. Suddenly, I found myself lurking almost every day to see amazing gifs, art, comments and discussions about it. I swear, it feels like I am in high school all over again. (Also, how do I still have over 40k+ followers here despite the five-year absence? Did everyone else leave, too?)

I make no promises about to the quality of the content I might post in the future (it's been a while since I touched Photoshop, OK?), nor the consistency of my posts. Seriously, don't trust me about this. I might just post a handful of new things and disappear for years again. But for now, I plan on re-learning how to make things on Photoshop, and hopefully share some of them with you.

its pretty neat! i think itd be another fun halloween special if mc continued for another season. now that I think abt it, I wonder what the antidote would be? a serum made by jacob after studying the source of the virus? maybe this virus goes all the way back, reeaalllyyy back to when the terra dwellers formed. and maybe there was another team that had been fighting the werecreatures for a long time. maybe it took them a few years to finally make a cure, for their teammates.

crowley used the metal tool in season 1 to start time, and we learn that he's used it first to start space. to create the stars -- he still remembers how. he still remembers all of heaven's passwords: in the book crowley is described as an optimist because he has the "utter surety... that the universe would look after him". not god, but the universe. and of course he does: he helped create it and he's looking after it, too.

think about it: aziraphale had a sword, but crowley is about to face satan who wants to destroy the world, and crowley's only weapon is a tool of creation

I'm rewatching Steven Universe and I will never forgive Fandom for what it did to her

#also watching it at age 19-20 as it was released and experiencing the resulting clusterfuck online fandom response was a wild trip #im finally rewatching it again at 25 and really really feel lucky to have seen it at the age i did #i have completely different perspective on it now that i have 3 young nephews and a neice where before i was in college #the music is still as incredible as it was back then #and the animation #i cant beleive people got honestly and truly upset and violently aggressive about characters being off model sometimes #early stevens voice though kills me after awhile...... the yelling .... but his characters growth and development also being reflected in #his voice changing as he grows up #they also go crazy hard on some scenes #who am i kidding the show was a masterpiece and ahead of its time

fionna and cake drawings before and after watching the episodes so far. it’s nostalgic and somehow cathartic and poignant and relatable and—it just started

#i’m part of the demographic where i was a kid when adventure time started and now watching fionna and cake as an adult makes me emotional #because did they keep us in mind when writing fionna and her attitude towards life #the dissatisfaction #the hoping for something more #something more magical than this dreary life filled with working to live and living to work #it’s so reflective of how life feels for me and perhaps many of us #and also Simon’s episode was so sad but so well thought out #exploring his feelings after the events of the adventure time finale is something I’m glad we get to see #there were already so many layers to his character in AT but now it feels like we get to dive deeper #I also felt emotional hearing Rebecca Sugar singing and writing a song that encapsulates his feelings so well #😭 it’s been awhile seeing her work exist alongside these characters #and all of these emotions get stronger because I remember AT being the one to inspire me to be a storyboard artist #when I was younger I used to follow many of the board artists here in tumblr and would get so inspired by them #to create simple but powerful boards that can capture the feelings of characters so well #Rebecca Sugar’s songs for the AT characters inspired me so much too #I’m sorry this is long I’m just feeling so many things experiencing all of this again as an adult #my art #fanart #adventure time #fionna and cake #fionna the human #cake the cat #simon petrikov
