I still love like... the point in Magnus Archives where you start seeing the plot infect the narrator. Like. Jon is introduced to us as the Storyteller. The Crypt Keeper. The Kids of the Midnight Society. 

But then slowly the things in his stories start connecting. Hey I’ve heard about that character before. Gerard Key, hey scary books again. Oh wow Jon doesn’t usually believe in the stories interesting that he believes in the books. 

But that happens in some things. Are You Afraid of the Dark? had reoccurring characters that some of the kids would use. 

But then what he’s telling us about begins to creep out of the story segments and into the intro/outro.

It’s a not uncommon in podcasts. Lots of podcasts start out with one narrator and then as it gets more popular more people can be added in, but I appreciate the path Magnus took with it and how it was very intentional to let the horror seep in making the Storyteller not detached from their own story anymore.
