to add to that last ask about highlights, can you explain how you think the colors don't work now? bc as far as I can tell the colors for the background and characters are still the same as they were in s1, but they for some reaosn don't work now. is because of the lack of values? the lack of shading and highlights? no use of textures? you can explain it better than me
A lot of it comes down to color theory and lack of proper rendering.
Concerning the colors, they definitely aren't the exact same as they were back in S1. Someone on reddit actually did a far better visual breakdown of it than I have time to put together, so full credit goes to /u/LowPHvinegar for the following images!

There's this problem with the undertones and shading used now that makes the characters look very 'plastic'. Before they looked ethereal, now they look rubbery and artificial. And there are a few reasons for this, one of which includes how Rachel shades the comic now compared to S1.
There's also the backgrounds themselves. LO's always been minimal in its backgrounds, but they used to have loads of texture, lighting effects, and glow.

(seriously, when was the last time we got an iconic panel like this? So many of the panels in S3, even the ones that TRY to feel 'iconic', don't come anywhere near the level of the S1 art that was truly memorable).
Rachel's also clearly uh... checked out of the comic in a way that shows through her lineart specifically. Rachel's old art is known for having very thick, varying, distinct lines, and there's been a lot less of that lately.

And what happens when the backgrounds stop pulling their weight? The colors look even worse.

The void backgrounds, unlike in S1, have been VERY muddy and dry. So it makes those hyper-saturated colors look even MORE saturated and ugly.
Now, to Rachel's credit, there have been more backgrounds as of late:

But see how the characters still look whack? It feels like Rachel's making attempts to address the criticism while still avoiding the massive elephant in the room - she's not putting in the same efforts anymore and any efforts she does make feel performative and hollow, and it shows. And this happens a lot with Rachel attempting to address criticism, she's trying to address a specific point that isn't taking into account the larger picture where the grander point is coming from. It feels very "SEE! SEE!" while turning a blind eye to everything else.
And yeah, it means even using some of the same colors from S1 can't and won't save the comic from looking like cheap reproduced garbage. Because just using those colors on their own is missing the forest for the trees, the old colors were only part of a much larger thing. Lore Olympus used to be the sum of its parts - now all those parts have been smashed up with a hammer and left in a mess on the floor, and Rachel is simply trying to pick up those individual parts and call it "fixed".
Frankly, until she understands this and is willing to play a more active part in creating the comic genuinely and with real effort that isn't purely performative or meant to "get back" at her critics, then what LO used to have will forever remain a mess on the floor.

I really cant choose only five (because the whole show is a masterpiece) but right now i think my top five are:
1- The morning after

I can't even put it into words.
Simon sacrificing what he had stated he needed in s1, agreeing to be a secret just to be with Wille, just minutes before Wille decides to sacrifice something big for Simon (and for himself).
The relief Wille feels as soon as Simon whispered that he loves him gets me every time.
AND THE WAY WILLE DOESN'T LET GO OF SIMON WHEN JAN- OLOF GETS THERE.😭😭😭😭😭
3- The bike scene

I honestly would die just to see wilmon being happy and having fun. Also, i love how how happy Wille looks in this scene. He finally got what he wanted. Or at leas for a an hour or two. He felt normal, he felt like everyone else. And it made him so happy. 😭
Also, the little hand touch makes my heart melt.
4- The football field scene (it had to be said)

It just had to be said, the football field scene is iconic and unforgettable. I love everything about it, the music, the colors, the lighting, EVERYTHING.
And i know it has been said before but i love the fact that Simon is kind of mad at Wille in this scene. Any other show would have made the mistake to make it an unnecessarily romantic scene. And im not saying that its not. It is, but in a very raw and real way.
5- The valentine's ball scene

Honestly, just everything in this scene is fantastic. I love the tension that can be felt between the characters. How Wille was finally ready to accept Simon didn't love him anymore, while Simon was panicking about the thought of loosing Wille forever.
Them kissing after what felt like an eternity, demonstrating that they could never really part ways forever.
The song, and the way Wille looked at Simon with such loving eyes, not even knowing that the song was about him.
Its just perfect.

His home is them
I loved this season that we see Jaskier part of the found family. Weird uncle Jaskier 😊. But there is a point that seems recurrent in S3, but that roots in S1 and S2 : Jaskier doesn't have a house and doesn't seem to want one. He never speaks about his family, only places to go.
The wandering bard
The Book!Jaskier (lets give him his english name for practical reason - Dandelion) is a travelling bard also but he seems to enjoy city's comfort way more than Netflix one. Like, Jaskier is at ease in cities with all the comfort he wants and so, but way more adaptive to all kind of fields. Also in his design, he feels more like a wandering bard.
Dandelion is more like Valdo kind of wandering bard in his appearance, with bright colors. He adapts surprisingly well to tougher moments and places, but to the court environment also. Jaskier can do that too (S1) but to the point where we find him in S3, like not anymore. He barely remembers how to act in front of a prince.
When we see Valdo, we can see glimpse of the former Jaskier pursuing fame, in his sofisticated outfits in S1, yet even the Jaskier back then was not afraid of not been clean all the time. By the end of the mountain episode, he had durt on his face and his outfit, and didn't seem to bother much. What mattered to him was his friend.
But after the mountain, Jaskier turns into a more adventurous person on his own. And the contrast with Valdo is more visible.

Valdo has a rich doublet, very clean clothes and hairdo. Everything is for parade. Jaskier has rich clothes too and some jewellery but he is more in a kind of free style and his trousers and boots have clearly seen many roads. His outfit is now more practical.
No fixed home
This is something that come across several times in S3 (vol 1 to date).
First Vespula throws him out of her home. Before the reconciliation. Still it's her place. A recurring one, as Geralt knows where to find him. On a side note, I guess Vespula is one of his muses, as she throw his music sheet out of the window. So he is probably composing at her place.
But then, still with Vespula, she jokes giving him bad titles for other countries because he is having affairs everywhere. So he is still wandering the Continent, even with her as an anchor.
When Radovid proposes him to become Redania's royal bard, he laughs. "No, a staid life at court is not for me". Later when he chooses to accept the proposal in exchange of Rience death, he grins while saying that he could maybe settle there.
But why does he say he could stay at one place ? It's clearly not for Radovid at this point. He is intrigued but has not fallen for him yet. The answer is : if Redania welcomes his found family then this is where he belongs 😭.
The found family is his home
Since S1, being with Geralt seems his natural habitat. As long as he is with him, he seems thriving. Also Geralt is a wandering man himself, a hard life for a soft boy but going everywhere, anywhere, is kind of his thing, innit ?
Sleeping outside, no problem. Washing in a lake, no problem. Going to the hunts, or near, no problem. As long as he is with Geralt...
We also see him trying to bound with Geralt's world, the dwarves, the others witchers... But it doesn't work at first.
In S2, we see him opening his heart to Yennefer. They are still frennemis but there is respect and acceptance, deep down. And she learns that he is a true friend.
This season, we see him earning respect from Yarpen Zigrin, like he has become strong enough to run into battles and help those who need. He is no warrior but he has a knight heart.
But most of all, we see how he has bounded with Ciri. The last member of the found family. He can't protect her like Geralt or Yennefer, with magic and swords. But he protects the last glimpses of true childhood she has left. He doesn't cary the gloom accompanying her destiny. He sees her like she is without any judgment over her capabilities and powers. She is just a little girl who needs her laugh and ray of sunshine. And he gives that to her without restrictions.
His home is where his White Wolf goes. His home is where his mama Witch need his shoulder. His home is when he can make his pocket sized Princess giggle and smile.

I'm going the extra mile to color code the lyrics to showcase their different thoughts and mindsets
Crosshair Tech Both
Okay so obviously we're going to ignore the fact that this song is about a breakup so take several of these lyrics with a grain of salt.
(And a lot of these might not nessesarily be Crosshair and tech but are more relevent to the batch as a whole, I hope you don't mind.)
I can see you standing, honey With his arms around your body Laughin', but the joke's not funny at all
I can see you starin', honey Like he's just your understudy Like you'd get your knuckles bloody for me
I see this as how in Aftermath the entire batch has an immediate click with Omega, except for Crosshair, and it almost adds this feel that Omega is replacing Crosshair in the batch. The symbolism of Omega sleeping in the gunners mount really showcases this, although Crosshair doesn't even know about that.
That last line in orange also stands out because in Aftermath theres a very stark difference in Crosshair in that he's no longer defending his brothers from the regs. He doesn't fight in the cafeteria until theres a direct offense against him(the loss of his lunch), whereas in TCW S7 we see he'll instantly defend his brothers when they're picked on. He's no longer that person and I bet it's noticable to his brothers, especially Tech, who we know from "He's always been severe and unyielding" is very attentive to Crosshair's personality.
And it took you five whole minutes To pack us up and leave me with it Holdin' all this love out here in the hall
And when the Batch escape Kamino, leaving Crosshair behind, he's angry, and feels betrayed. I want to bring up that Crosshair rationalized his allegiance to the empire by planning to get his brothers back where they would all join the Empire together. He never stopped caring for them, even if it was in a twisted way, but he thinks that they stopped caring for him, as they left him behind, but came back for Crosshair. He feels like he's the only one carrying the love they once shared. He's standing alone with that love in the hall. He can't go back into the room of the past relationship they had, but he's been locked out of the room his brothers have now gone into.
Second, third, and hundredth chances Balancin' on breaking branches Those eyes add insult to injury
Tech, as well as the rest of the Batch, continuously give Crosshair chances to come back to them, and even when Crosshair refuses, Tech doesn't give up on him. When Tech finds out that Crosshair was imprisoned he's the first to declare Crosshair is still their brother. Offering Crosshair another chance, even if Crosshair himself doesn't actually know about it. Then Tech states that they don't leave their own behind, which, isn't exactly true because they did leave Crosshair behind. Tech is trying to hold on to the promises their entire squad has made, to balance on that branch, but the fact that they've already broken that promise twice is breaking those branches, and Tech is determined not to break that promise a third time now.
I think I've seen this film before And I didn't like the ending You're not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now?
Each time they meet again in S1, it never ends well. Crosshair and The Batch both try to reach out to each other but to no avail, and it never ends well.
Their family used to be each other, but they don't even have that now. And yet they continue to defend each other. Crosshair is ready to have the four of his brothers join him in the Empire, to defend them to Rampart and convince him to let them stay. And when all of his brothers are mad at Crosshair, Tech is the one who explains his actions.
And to that you might say "But wait, Tech wasn't defending Crosshair in that moment?"
No. He wasn't. But Crosshair thought he was.
Crosshair thought Tech was defending him, but Tech shoots him down. Tech wasn't defending him because they no longer have the relationship we saw in TCW where they defend each other no matter what. That bond between them has now been broken.
You were my town Now I'm in exile, seein' you out I think I've seen this film before So I'm leavin' out the side door
The lyrics repeat "Now I'm in exile, seein you out" implying that it's not one of them exiling the other, they're both exiling the other. They're in exile, but they're also sending the other into their own exile. Crosshair might have turned on them, but they abandoned him. They're equally to blame here.
Okay so, I'm gonna be honest I'm really proud of this part, I think this might be my best analysis, if not the one I did for Hunter. ST Season 2 Wardrobe Analysis
Nancy, Jonathan, & Steve
I watched Risky Business for this, you guys. And I hated it. I just need to put that out there. And heads-up: this one is looong.
If you haven't read my other wardrobe posts, here's what you need to know:
Pink (or red) and blue are used to symbolize the idea of the perfect nuclear family or the "norm."
The Byers wear earth tones and warm neutrals.
Steve's color is blue
Nancy's color is purple. She wore mostly pink and blue during season 1, though as she grows into herself, she wears more purple (a blend of the two).
EPISODE 1
For starters, we get a brief snippet of Nancy and Mike fighting at home. Nancy's wearing a soft grey sweater (the go-to neutral color for the Wheelers) and I'm going to be honest: I can't really tell what color the stripes are. They're either pink and blue or purple and blue. Either way, Nancy wearing divided colors, as opposed to just the blend (purple) is an indicator that she has moved backwards into the safe zone of her family's expectations. And we know she's struggling with trying to pretend the events of the last season didn't happen.

Here are some randos, totally decked out in the pink/red and blue palette as a reminder that these are the sheep. Steve is wearing blue and red, the addition of red to his outfit demonstrating that he is trying to buy into this mindset.

Steve wears his jacket all day at school and then takes it off for dinner with the Hollands. Both he and Nancy are putting on performances and both of them are dressed in what I am deeming the Colors of Conformity. The removal of Steve's jacket makes him look more polished. He's lost the sporty half of his sporty-prep look, him bending to fit this situation not only metaphorically through color but literally through style.
Nancy and Steve actually both match this nasty wallpaper, though he pops out more, despite his efforts. But one thing I love is that even the Hollands are doing a terrible job of fitting into their own home/their own lives because look how much the KFC bucket ruins the aesthetic.

Nancy's wearing the Colors of Conformity again, but Nancy's never worn tan or brown before. So while she is still performing, influences from the past year are continuing to leak through. Influences like...

They match! So while Nancy and Steve are both wearing the Colors, their outfits don't actually go together. Whereas Nancy's and Jonathan's do, despite the fact that Nancy is still dragging around these familial/societal expectations.
EPISODE 2
The style of Nancy's outfit (dainty, plaid, little frills alongside the buttons) is absolutely something she would have worn season 1. In fact, the last time she wore a purple sweater was the last day she saw Barb. And in this episode, she sees Faux Barb (we'll call her Farb).

The Farb Incident is a large part of what sets off Nancy's drunken disaster state at the party that night, so this subtle callback to the season 1 outfit is a great detail (aside from the colors, both the S1 and S2 tops have the same type of rounded collars and she's wearing dark wash jeans).
Steve has ditched the red from his previous outfit here so that neither Steve nor Nancy are wearing the Colors of Conformity palette anymore (woo!). The dark blue shirt with a green vest is a bit of an inversion of a couple of his season 1 outfits (green or teal shirt, blue jacket). In those episodes, Steve realized he'd fucked up and tried to make it up to Nancy. This season 2 episode also shows Steve trying to connect with Nancy, and just like these episodes below, it doesn't work because in all of these moments, though he is being genuine, the comfort he has to offer isn't the comfort she needs.

Jonathan calling himself "a guy who hates parties" at a costume party where he is dressed as himself is a very blatant demonstration that Jonathan refuses to pretend. And not only is he dressed in his own clothes to make this declaration, but he's in a jacket he wears constantly, just to drive that point home extra hard. He wore it in the previous episode and he wears it for the remainder of the season.

Jonathan's outfit-repeating is a detail I haven't really discussed much yet, but I keep meaning to. Because while outfit repeating sometimes serves as a callback or, as it does here, to emphasize a point, for Jonathan in particular (who outfit repeats the most of anyone), it is a reminder that he doesn't own the kind of expansive wardrobe characters like Nancy and Steve do because he doesn't come from money. So not only do his outfits give insight into his feelings and his relationships, but they show us his circumstances.
One last thing about The Jacket:

It's red inside! Jonathan is a very closed-off person and all of his...flair...if you will, is on the inside. Back to Halloween.

We've arrived at the reason I watched Risky Business. I googled Nancy and Steve's costumes (because I didn't know what they were), which led me to someone talking about them being the characters from Risky Business and questioning why, of all the (supposedly better) outfits in the movie, they chose these ones. So obviously I had to watch it.
It became pretty immediately apparent to me, before I even got to the scenes with the outfits they chose, why Steve couldn't wear just any Joel outfit. It's because he'd have looked exactly like himself.

So I waited the whole movie only to see them not even wearing the outfits from the party in the same scene? The Joel outfit Steve wears is from a scene near the end, at a big house party (fitting). The Lana outfit Nancy wears is from the final scene of the movie.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter what happens in that scene. That tells me everything I need to know. It's literally the End. Had Nancy worn the outfit that went with Steve's, she'd have been in navy and the big Spill Incident would have had no little to no impact. So they NEEDED to put her in white for ultimate damage. But in addition to that, this outfit is the most like something Nancy would wear of all the outfits in the movie. Which makes this scene pack a double-punch, because Nancy isn't just dressing up like a character she has nothing in common with, she's actually dressing to a degree like herself and yet it's still a costume.
The stain on the costume is irreparable. She is unable to fix the facade after this incident. And going back to them wearing outfits from different scenes, Nancy's reached the end but Steve hasn't yet. Because he's still a few scenes behind.
EPISODE 3
I touched on these looks when I talked about the alley scene in season 1. Then, Nancy was wearing pastel pink while Steve was in baby blue and it was very boy/girl coded. Now, they're both in grey.

I mentioned in the other post was that Steve and Nancy are matching perfectly for the first time here. Not just color scheme or style. They are both in light solid grey with no color, no patterns. And they are finally having an honest dialogue. They are finally on the same page. The truth is finally out.

Nancy actually doesn't match Jonathan at all, and that's unusual too. This grey outfit of hers feels somewhat like a blank slate because she's always dressed in color. She's feeling down, she's fighting with her boyfriend, she's still sad about Barb. She kind of hit rock bottom at that party and this is a new beginning, but it isn't necessarily a happy one. (If it were an uplifting blank slate/fresh start moment, this would probably be represented by white rather than this gloomy grey)
Jonathan is wearing That Jacket again. And I love this sweater!! Not that it matters. But Jonathan doesn't wear a lot of variety, so it's neat to see him here in a multicolored (even if two of those colors are black and grey) striped sweater while Nancy is in this bland, solid, colorless outfit. It's unusual. The addition of more prints and colors into Jonathan's wardrobe tells us he's starting to come out of his shell, even if only to Nancy. This sweater, the yellow one from the episode prior, he wore stripes in episode 1, he has a light-colored flannel on in the next episode. It's a little more variety than we saw in season 1.
EPISODE 4
Nancy has reverted to pink and blue again. *sigh* But once she leaves the house, she adds a brown jacket.

Jonathan's flannel is blue and white with some red, matching her sweater. His t-shirt matches Nancy's jacket, his jacket matches her pants, and his pants match her sweater...it's a whole moment. A very clear sign that they are being drawn towards one another. In this scene, they are baiting HNL, which makes the presence of the Colors of Conformity actually work in their favor for once. They are pretending, but this time it's a conscious choice for the sake of getting justice for Barb. It's not the unconscious desire to be normal.
EPISODES 5-9
Nancy packs a light pink nightgown for the trip while Jonathan sleeps in the t-shirt he wore all day. That completely tracks with what we know of each character. This reminds me a bit of the scene in season 1 when Jonathan slept over at Nancy's house and she was wearing light blue pjs and he was wearing just his clothes. Then, he stood out dramatically against the backdrop of Nancy's pink and blue room. Now, he blends in while she sticks out.

This shows us that motels are not a place Nancy Wheeler is accustomed to. During this scene, they also openly address their relationship for the first time in the series. Nancy tells Jonathan she waited and when he says "yeah, for like only a month," she gets pissy and goes to sleep. Nancy's nightgown shows her discomfort within the room, but also with the situation. Whereas Jonathan has no issues being honest about it. Despite the fact that Nancy brought the topic up, she doesn't like hearing the truth: that she is responsible for "what happened to us."
We've reached the Final Outfits. The ones that last a four episode stretch. With the Colors of Conformity shed, Jancy pops in to see Murray and Take Care of Business, going against what they were told to just accept. In this case, they were told to accept the claims of Barb's disappearance and let it go and they decided to expose the lab instead. But on a broader scale, going against what is expected is like THE theme of themes in this show. So while season 1 involved both Nancy and Jonathan gaining agency and independence (her from expectations, him from obligations), this is the first major instance of them not just taking matters into their own hands, but acting blatantly against what was demanded of them.

The lack of vibrance in the wardrobe gives these scenes a more serious tone. This feels appropriate as a conscious choice for the characters to make (when going to get justice for the death of a friend, colorful clothes probably don't feel like the thing to pop on) and fitting outside of choice in order to match the tone of later scenes. i.e. Jonathan doesn't know Will is possessed yet, but when he gets back, he'll still be wearing this during the shed scene.

These pj pants...my dudes... He wore them at the motel, too, but only a glimpse of them is visible from one angle beneath the blankets. I think, like the Jacket (yes, it must always be capitalized) with the red lining, pajamas being something worn in the privacy of one's home, the bright yellow and the funky print tell us how much more comfortable Jonathan is at home. He would never wear a print like that out and about in Hawkins. And this tracks with his character arc as a whole, which is breaking out of his shell OUTSIDE of his family, letting other people in. I mentioned the season 1 bedroom scene before. Contrast that with this again. He was in his regular clothes then. He's in pjs now.
Logistically, the reasoning is obvious. That was impromptu. This time he packed. But they could have given him something like a muted plaid pant or a basic sweatpant. Instead, the wardrobe department gave him these. And if that doesn't show him coming out of his shell...I don't have an end to that sentence. It does. If I want to be extra obnoxious about the pants, there's the fact that they were barely visible at the motel and he was honest with Nancy about the state of their relationship but didn't push her when she shut it down and now the pants are totally visible and he makes a move. So as his feelings are drawn more into the open...so are his ugly pants.

Something I want to mention about Steve's wardrobe choices, now that we're far enough to have established a trend, is the contrast between what he wears to school and outside of it. So far, we've mostly seen him at school. He wears a lot of polos and button-ups. His season 1 school outfits were generally lighter in color (lots of pale blue) and very preppy while his outside-of-school outfits were darker and sportier.
I didn't talk about this in my season 1 analysis and I totally should have but I wasn't focused on Steve too much at the time, so I'm going to backtrack for a second. In season 1 episode 2, he wears the teal long-sleeve shirt/sweatshirt (which I included 2 screenshots of above). This is the only time in the whole show that he wears something this casual to school and it is IMMENSLEY telling that he says to Nancy that same day that his parents have left town. Not that they're GOING out of town. They've left. We know very little about his parents, but the fact that on the one day they're out of town, he shows up to school wearing something drastically different from what he usually wears says a lot about the performance he is putting on for them.
Through Steve's wardrobe, we are being very subtly told that he is trapped by the same familial pressures and expectations as Nancy despite the fact that we never see his home life. And unlike Nancy, his separate styles for in school and outside school show that this weighs on him consciously. In this season, we see bits of the casual and the sporty begin to be incorporated into his school looks as he grows more comfortable with himself, but we can clearly see in this photo above that his chosen style is not a blend, but just the sporty/casual half.
As a reminder, he wore this to woo back Nancy. This isn't just something he tossed on because it's the weekend and he had no plans. It's something he felt comfortable in. So the combination of the sporty jacket and the preppy shirt in episode 1 or the preppy shirt and the sporty vest in episode 2 are showing us both growth and an internal struggle. The most we hear from him about this is in the car with Nancy talking about his essay when he says "What's the point? ...I'm just going to end up working for my dad anyway." He sounds extremely disappointed and put out by it, but immediately follows up by saying, "Is that such a bad thing?" This boy is CONFLICTED.
EPISODE 9

Last outfits. 3 second read: these two aren't done with each other and are a better match than they realize (please don't stone me). Nancy and Steve are matching despite the fact that they don't even interact and it's in a color neither of them usually wears.
This doesn't necessarily mean romance. It could foreshadow their breakup actually bringing them closer (as friends) or it could foreshadow them getting back together (seriously don't attack me). Either way, Nancy and Steve fit together more now that they're broken up than they did when they were together, largely as a consequence of Steve's journey this season helping him figure out who he is and what he wants (whereas Nancy's arc took her further from Steve), a theme that will return in season 4. I also want to point out that Steve looks at Nancy, but Nancy does not look at him. He sees that they're matching and she does not. She doesn't see that he's changed.
Jonathan, on the other hand, is dressed in black and grey.

Which I'm sure we will all be shocked to find are the other two colors in Nancy's dress. Basically, if I'd done this analysis after season 2 came out instead of right now, I would have known this love triangle wasn't over. Nancy's dress is a HUGE indicator of this. I'm actually so annoyed I didn't catch this the first time around. And back to the glances, they look at each other. They both acknowledge that they fit.

hide: What does your OC hide? Why do they hide it?
Oh she definitely hides quite a bit 😂 mostly, she tries to hide the extent of things with Eowells.
With Tina, it's because she knows Tina wants the two of them (Eowells and Morgan) to have a good relationship, and hiding the emotional abuse and the extent of the neglect is mostly easy (Tina isn't raising Morgan anymore, because ofc she's sure Eowells is being a good dad, and thus she can't notice the red flags 🥺).
With Team Flash, it's to keep them from worrying, especially when they have bigger priorities (in Morgan's opinion)—she's mostly able to hide it initially, but Eowells is slipping, and they're observant and around them both often enough to notice things are Off™️
mask: Does your OC wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?
Literally yes—Sentry wears a dark mask on the bottom half of her face (leaves her bright blue eyes exposed, but that color isn't uncommon). Beneath it, she's very expressive (even her eyes are, really, but she hasn't realized this yet). Team Flash (especially Barry), James, and Iris (eventually—she's in the know, she just hasn't seen Morgan take off her mask yet) get to see under the mask
Figuratively, she also wears one—she tries to project an image of someone happy, normal, unbothered, low-maintenance, etc. Team Flash, James, Jesse and Tina can see through this...especially James, Jesse, Iris, Tina, and Barry 🥺 especially Barry in the AUs when he knows her as a little kid
nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?
Definitely after the two times she's kidnapped in s2. Can't go into too much detail about who or why, but...yeah, those two are for personal reasons (well…sort of, for the second one), so they stick with her, and not in a good way 😭
She had one about Farooq, though that was the only one.
Also ofc when Bates impersonates Barry...yeah that sticks with Morgan for a while and even affects her relationship with Barry. It even brings back her dormant nightmares from the few nights after Barry was whammied.
After discovering Barry's fate in Crisis...probably a few nightmares about that. The idea of losing him terrifies her 😭
(Also a few others concerning events later in s1 that I can't talk about 🫢 and also at least once in s3)
Normally what helps is company. Sitting with someone keeps her thoughts from racing...and if she feels up to talking about it, the catharsis is soothing, especially if it's Barry. And if she falls asleep cuddling him...that usually chases away the nightmares that night.
Though what helps long-term is, ofc, therapy! I haven't decided when exactly she starts going, but tentative plan is post-s2. It helps that she has no childhood trauma associated with therapy, and a good therapist who pushes her without being too pushy. Even discounting Sentry stuff (which she ofc can't talk about), she has a lot of baggage in her civilian identity (Morgan) that she can sort through and process. And although it takes time...it helps

Anyways I've been reading on repressing and suppressing emotions?? Ok so I'm not claiming to be a professional or anything, I'm just reciting what I've read about!! IT'S JUST REALLY INTERESTING TO TALK ABOUT in the case of Mike.
Ok before I go on a tangent, I found something interesting-

Anyways suppressing is when you avoid talking or expressing an unwanted or uncomfortable emotion and in order to do that, some may do something to distract themselves, in the case of Mike (Him playing video games in the basement.) BUT there's also controlling your intake of food!! which is what Mike might also be doing. He's looking for some control.
Suppressing emotions happens when you don't know what to do with said emotions (aka his feelings for Will, he's having thoughts about Will so he ignores/avoids them by playing video games.) Basically suppression is something that you actively do whilst repressing is more unconscious. Mike might be a mix of these 2.
I think by the end of S4 or something he might be leaning more towards repression.
I wanna talk more about how his family life causes this, cause it's soo interesting. Mike doesn't know how to healthily express his emotions, because his parents are emotionally stunt. They've never talk about their emotions, so it's just uncomfortable for him to do so because he didn't grow up in an environment where doing so was considered normal. I think this effect the entirety of the Wheeler kids. They just don't know what to do with feelings, so they shove it down aka suppressing them. Just shoving them down so they don't have to deal with them.
Wonder why Mike feels more dull in S4? Going back to watch clips from S1-2 felt like experiencing smth different. Mike felt more explosive you could say, he was moody and angry, but at least it was an emotion. S3-4 felt like watching the colors drain out of him, because that's when he learns to shove them down, cause they're bad. Feelings like anger, frustration, sadness anything!! He shoves them down. Cause 1) he's shown that he can't express these feelings without repercussions, his parents punishment for acting out instead of understanding him. 2) He's been shown that these emotions are not important.
He thinks he shouldn't have these emotions, because he's not allowed to, he hasn't suffered enough to feel these.
Feels like I'm just repeating things, but he's SUCH an interesting character to talk about!!! Anyways just came here to say that you're probably my fav (personally) Mike analyst. You do it so well!!!

Mike’s life has had so many moments of a loss of control, esp w the supernatural stuff, but I feel like a.) the continuation of his relationship with el and feeling like he has very little control over that relationship bc theres so many expectations for him and b.) feeling like he’s lost will are two core losses of control that are really affecting him pre-s4, esp feeling like he’s failed and lost will and out of control of his life bc his sense of stability (will’s presence in his life) is gone, and so he’s seeking a sense of control through food while simultaneously punishing himself/neglecting himself by not eating. And that is SUCH a great point both about a.) mike’s feelings for will and focusing on videogames and b.) the distinction between repression vs suppression. I def think mike has a mix of those two, and is leaning towards repression in s4, yes!!!!

Mike’s parents are SO emotionally unavailable and not only do they fail to encourage Mike to show his emotions, but they also punish him for it too! In s2, when he’s upset and expressing himself about having to give away his toys, Karen reprimands him for his upset & reminds him off things that he did like graffitiing the bathroom stall- which is odd because he’s already BEEN punished for those things, he’s already lost his Atari, and the toys aren’t actually tied to his “bad behaviour,” but rather, Karen wants the toys to be given away & is using mike’s “bad behaviour” as an excuse. It also struck me that Ted, who’s usually pretty silent, chimed in to give Mike shit with his “strike 20 you’re on the bench, son” comment but we never see Ted chime in to defend Mike in any of the dinner scenes, only to reprimand him. We don’t even see Ted and Mike have a nice normal conversation at the dinner table- or EVER! When was the last time we saw Mike and Ted just. Talk. At all. An actual conversation, not even a deep serious one but just anything that isn’t just “Ted making snarky comments at Mike”? Hell, Mike doesn’t even respond to Ted’s snarky comments at the s2 dinner table, nor does he respond to them in the kitchen scene in s4 ep1. He’s responding to Karen in both scenes but not Ted. We literally haven’t seen an actual conversation between Mike and Ted at all. The CLOSEST we’ve gotten to that is s1 ep1 where Ted is fixing the tv & Mike tries to ask about staying longer for dnd but Ted shuts him down and tells him to talk to/listen to Karen. This is REALLY interesting to me because that’s the only time we really see any sort of two way dialogue between Mike and Ted where they’re even just. Responding directly to eachother at all. And it’s because from that scene, Mike has learned that he can’t go to Ted and that Ted’s just going to redirect him to Karen & not listen to Mike, so then in Mike’s mind, why should he even bother with Ted? Mike shoves down his feelings SO MUCH, we see him get shut down so often and eventually he just starts shutting himself down & repressing his own emotions before anyone else can try and shut him down. “S3-4 felt like watching the colors drain out of him” THIS IS SO SO TRUE AND ACCURATE AND AGAIN IS A FANTASTIC WAY OF FRAMING/PHRASING IT!!! THATS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!! And i completely agree, at least he was EXPRESSING himself, at least it was emotions, but then in s3-s4, he REALLY starts shoving them down, because exactly like you said, he’s been shown that not only are his emotions deemed unimportant, but they’re also actively punished.

EXACTLY!!!!! He feels like he isn’t suffering enough because of how he compares himself to others & invalidates his own experiences and emotions & how other people, including El (with the s4 bedroom fight scene and her invalidating him when he talks about being bullied) have invalidated and shut him down too. And that’s part of what frustrates me about some of the discussion surrounding Mike’s mental health in the fandom too- they fall into that same “Mike hasn’t suffered enough to have mental health issues,” trap, and compare Mike to other characters and use that comparison to invalidate and willfully ignore his struggles and it’s NOT frustrating because that approach completely misses the POINT of how Mike’s character aligns with people who feel like they are suffering enough & who are invisible & who invalidate themselves because of how they’ve been invalidated by others.
HES SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER AND I LOVE THE THOUGHTS YOUVE MENTIONED HERE!! And thank you so, so much omg that makes me so happy because i LOVE analyzing him! YOURE SO SWEET THANK YOU SM AAAAAAAAAAA!!! 💗💕

so i wanted to know where cas was, i guess "total anarchy" is a little different from what i said ("heaven politics"). whatever, dean needs some backup from all these pod people.
trying to file away a thought about how the show treats him leaving lisa and its after effects, if he's dreaming about her now. not holding my breath on that. (but maybe this was just an excuse to get both guys shirtless)
is this a random lady sam banged or the lady in the hunter group? pretty and longish brown hair blending together.
also sam is very tan. i wonder side by side how much darker he is than s1. might be due to the lighting/coloring they're going with the past couple seasons which can be really warm and saturated at times.

well, i appreciate the mention of gas mileage because the amount of money they had to have spent on gas for the impala based on the amount they drive is astronomical. but again, we're just doing the fun banter. i don't really get this version of soullessness.
but then, hmm. thinking of the magicians, which sera gamble was also a showrunner on, they had this thing called a shade: "The Shade is the tiny beating heart of the soul and the part that allows people to process complex emotions and connect to one another. The bonds of friendship, love, intimacy, trust, and compassion all rely completely upon the Shade." they also had it be a release from pain from trauma. and general give no fucks anymore-ness. (were shades in the books... i can't remember)
but anyway it kinda seems like, from what i've seen here, their implementation of soulless is really similar to shadeless. i think i'm grating against it so hard because i want dean to figure it out and he can't figure it out if they're being chummy on a job.
also why isn't dean even silently pissy about sam NOT CONTACTING HIM IN A YEAR THAT DEAN THOUGHT HE WAS STILL IN HELL. i just don't see how there's any plot or explanation that's going to make me think dean would react like this. with how you've had him be about sam for the past 5 years, and established canonically his history with him before that. does not compute for me.
(s3e5 bedtime stories) CROSSROADS DEMON No more desperate, sloppy, needy Dean. 
you don't get demons calling you out to your brother about being desperate, sloppy and needy for nothing.

I swore to myself that I will not journal multiple times or as frequently as I did the past few months. Although therapeutic, journaling has solidified some memories for me that I shouod be forgetting and they push me further into the loop of overthinking. Moreover, I've journaled as if I was venting out my anger in the past few months. So now, I'm trying to redeem.
But I cant stop myself from journaling one time on tumblr. Cause it's been so long.
Firstly, I've moved on from my first crush. (Or atleast, I'm beginning to move on from him)
This is a milestone in itself because I realised that I do not want to be a secret admirer for someone I talk to very frequently that too,in a filter-free manner.
Although pretty late to join the other end of the sea called "first crushes and hormonal rushes", I've realised that it's either -
You stay a secret admirer while keeping your interactions minimal
Or
You let them know how you feel a little early in the relationship
So that you don't let the guilt of becoming a delusional take over whatever friendship you've really established enroute that's actually needed for the 2 of you but, you're too guilty when he needs you as a friend.
Learnt the lesson a really tough way, but we both have our lives moving in different paces in our unis so "it is what it is"
(I really wish we could hang out sometime soon. But I swore to not get ahead anytime soon, so)
Secondly, I began coloring in the penup app of my new tab and doodling a little albeit rarely. This got me into training my mind into being a little patient. Maybe right now I'm patient by 4% more than I was before on an average
Thirdly, I'm chronically having headaches.
It could be me stressing out or overthinking subtle things when I let my emotions and silliness take over the rationale. Also because although im not entirely a people pleaser, i have a hard time saying no and even taking it (should seriously work on better communication)
Or inadequate sleep mostly due to my inefficiency in planning things for the day or night if I'm being specific.
I should be sleeping now so I get sufficient rest for tomorrow, but I'm typing away anyways :p
Or me studying under stress! Panicking. Worrying about my future.
Or missing home and worrying about family
Or under-hydration
Or micro nutrition deficiency cause I get fatigued after I'm out in the sun, pretty easily.
So to sum everything up, my health is getting fucked up. Mental health and physical one too.
Hence the pms and pcos.
Fourthly, I read a lot than I studied in the past few months.
Be it solo leveling to begin with.
Or subtle art of not giving a fuck.
Then recently I've read It ends with us and It starts with us.

I've talked at length about the 'tells' of each assistant and artist, and while it doesn't guarantee that I can tell exactly who drew each panel, there's one thing there's been a lot less of in the most recent episodes that have caught my attention - things that I know Rachel would typically contribute.
And most of it comes down to her lineart.
The shading was always her, no doubt about that, you could tell with how consistently awful it is, how she would take actual decent flats from her assistants and proceed to butcher them with muddied shading.

But there was also her lineart which, at first, I didn't realize who was drawing it. It didn't show up super often in LO but it was always very noticeable when it did so I knew it had to be someone on the team doing it:

The thickness of the lines and the extra little strokes added in along the knuckles and bends, that wasn't something that was really common in LO at this point... at least it hasn't been since S1:

And when comparing it to the lineart she used to do in The Doctor Pepper/Foxglove Show:

(look at the mouth in The Doctor Foxglove Show vs. Hera in the pilot version of LO, they're literally the same)
So yeah, it was certainly the revelation to discover that that one instance of "weirdly detailed lineart" wasn't one of her assistants having a little extra fun, it was Rachel herself. It was already so uncommon for her to contribute all the way back in S2 that her contributions seemed to be more of the exception rather than the norm.
And since seeing the art that's been in the newest FP episodes following the return of the series... is Rachel even drawing at all anymore? Because lately the lineart has felt very thin, in a way that I can't tell if it's her assistants just doing all the lineart now or if she's trying to emulate S1 LO more by using less lineart. But S1 didn't have thin lineart, it had very thick lineart, BUT only being used where necessary to emphasis shadows and depth.
Now the lineart feels very... dinky? Especially when you look at the eyelashes.

That said, there are moments from S1 that had similarly 'dinky' lineart, so take this with grains of salt. It still didn't feel as dinky though as it does today where the lines are practically non-existent in how thin they are.

There are also times when you can tell they're really trying to emulate that S1 look, the pieces are there but they aren't being put together very well:

So yeah at this point I wouldn't even be shocked if all Rachel's doing at this point is scripting and roughs. And considering there are definitely times where she'll just draw without knowing what to write, the 'scripting' is also practically non-existent. It's just her leaving her roughs off to the last second for her assistants to whip out with very little time to pay attention to what's being submitted.
Once again it's Rachel fundamentally missing the point of the criticism that's being made of her work. She's trying to forcefully emulate something that she didn't even have a process behind. I can attest as someone who's been trying to do studies of her past work to recreate it as faithfully as possible through Rekindled, it's very difficult to achieve the 'old LO' look because 'old LO' was literally just Rachel slapping down brush strokes until they looked good, there was no specific process or guidelines that she followed, she just made things look textured and colorful. Everything else was basically up to her figuring out what actually looked good, with panels often having their own vibes separate from others in isolation of one another.
Now she's trying to replicate that look while missing the point entirely that it's not something she can really replicate anymore. Though we do get the odd panel that's way closer to the point, those panels have one thing that she's clearly not putting into the comic as a whole anymore - love and effort.

Case in point, this honorable mention towards Persephone's outfit which is literally just a color-swapped version of the sketch that Rachel posted to Blue Sky that got meme'd to death in the ULO sub:

Did you catch that though? The weird dark patch over her boob and the gap in the lineart of her cleavage?
That's because they copy pasted the first panel and then erased out the hands, but missed the part of the hand shading that was overlapping the breast and the gap in the lineart.
I shit you not, Rachel coming up with memes on Blue Sky that she's scraped out of shows she watched 20 years ago is basically the full extent of her writing at this point.

There has been a couple of posts about this in the past. I touched upon this topic here and Cheri had her take on this here. So I would love to give you a different perspective on this if I may.
Spoiler-free short answer is... There are too many hints both from Gavin and MCs side about their wedding plans, desire to be inseparated forever or to age together. But there are also many people who are blessing their love and wish them to tie the knot. And finally their story has a setting which showcases them as a couple on their way to become Mr. And Mrs. So I will try to bullet point through them and I hope I can do it justice and I am truly sorry for some asks which I won't be able to answer anymore (about the newest PV and the chapters) but I will write a post in general which will answer most of your questions I promise!

💍Hints from Gavin
1) Brilliant Date "I won't let go of you... Not in this life". It is actually just an addition to Gavin's "I'll accompany you till the very end." saga. The fact that this is his character line is the biggest hint one can look for. But I decided not to include too many "I wanna stay with you forever" type of claims from both since the undertone of this is not exactly about marrying stereotypically.
2) Splendid Glimpse Date: The ritual of binding their hair with a red string and then improvising and proposing to her on stage. (Also the color red has been used by PG in Gavin and MC's Karmas more and more in the last few months, the red umbrella, the red ribbon, the red silk ball etc.)
3) 2 Become 1 Date... Pretty much everything in this date is a hint and I think it's about time I write an analysis on this. But to point out the biggest clue, Gavin bought a gem for this occasion. We can safely assume what he bought is actually an engagement ring since you don't just by a gem for such an occasion, but it's left for our imagination... For now ;)
But there is something else in this date which is my Headcanon and can be found here.

4) Call from Dreamers Date: "On my next birthday, I will use what I didn't have the chance to use last time" Meaning his birth register which is necessary for two bureaucratic actions... To change your nationality or to apply for marriage... Which one do you think Gavin's meaning here? 😉
Speaking of next birthday ...
5) Hometown Date, Gavin mentions of buying a piano for the house in the future and implies that MC would be living in there too. Here both of them decorate this future house together in their minds ^_^
6) ASMR Hairpin... Also during the "Right Beside You" section of his birthday, Gavin gives his maternal grandmother's hairpin to MC alongside with the accessory box it was in, he suggests they fill the box together and tells that he will have something to tell her once the box is full.
7) Phone Call "Halves"
"Whether it's the present or the future, I will always share half of my life with you"
Does anyone else get the Edward Elric proposal vibes here?
8) Dream Lake Call where he asks MC about her dream wedding and tells her that in case she wishes to have a high profile proposal he would just hoist her on his shoulders caveman style so that she can't back up (aaah the good old at-the-beginning-Gavin...😄) Which we know he really did...twice! This guy never jokes about such things lol.

Mr. Keller: I wonder when I will receive an invitation from both of you.
Gavin: Someday, you will.

1) Amusement Park Date "My dream of an everlasting romance has finally come true." We need to understand one thing about MC. She loves fairytales, specifically the Cinderella story. Be it her midnight waltz with Gavin in S1 CH19 and S1 CH33, be it Gavin putting on crystal shoes for her, be it them contemplating about finding each other despite all odds in Three Lifetimes Date but also her asking him directly if the prince (he) would go for someone else had he not found Cinderella. Going along with this, both of their wedding themed pics are in front of a fairytale castle.

2) Late Autumn Date "The rest of my life is yours, The years that we’ve missed out on are also yours (whatever I have, I will give it to you. I will give everything to you, leaving nothing behind)"... I really have nothing to add to this to be honest. It speaks for itself LOUD AND CLEAR! 💖💖💖
3) 2 Become 1 Date "So this is how people felt when they found their Mr. Right." I will explain everything in more detail when I analyze this date I promise!
4) Beautiful Future Call: Gavin remembers that MC mentioned of moving to a Shangri-La where they can live, just the two of them, in a far away future.

What shall I say about this? It's quite self-explanatory isn't it? ;) The complete Eternal Winter era has numerous points of MC expressing her wishes for an everlasting staying togetherness with Gavin. More to this can be found here.
6) Halloween AU Fullmoon Date where she directly proposes to him... Spoiler alert, Gavin refuses her because they've just met lol😂
7) When she tells him she wants to see him wearing a tuxedo in Slightly Drunken Date during her love confession "No more talking! Just listen to me! When I said that, I meant it. Not about the bass playing, but you. I like the gift you gave me, I like the bracelet you gave me. I also like that love letter that I never read. I want to see more sides of you...When you’re eating, when you’re sleeping, when you’re happy, when you’re sad, when you’re wearing a tuxedo (ehm...mask...ehm), or red in the face from drinking."
8) Not being able to refuse him. Both in the Assistance Date and S2 CH23, MC has recently repeated her inability to say "no" to Gavin. Which hints at the possibility or rather the impossibility of her saying "no" to him in case he proposes;) Come to think of it, she has never ever refused Gavin in any circumstance over the last 4 years. (Accept for sneezing into his fave twice while he was leaning in for a kiss and not listening to his cautious warnings of not getting in danger lol. For you @playheej :*) BTW there were other cases were she expressed her inability to refuse Gavin but the recent ones should draw the picture.
9) 2 Become 1 Date "No matter whether the wedding is real or fake, I ONLY want to be YOUR BRIDE" As a matter of fact, they both say this:

At this point I don't know if one needs any more hints than that. I mean it is written on black and white here, leaving no room for interpretation. At this point it is not even a hint if you ask me but a statement that makes it abundantly clear what these two plan with each other.

9) It is just a hint without giving out names, but there are these two moments with MC's dad and Gavin's mother here. Both Gavin and MC believe that they've found the person in each other of which their parents were telling them about and wishing for them. There is also a Freudian twist to this but it deserves a whole post for itself.

💍The Setting
Okay I left this for the latest because it is still a thing in the making. But the main story, company projects and dates have many instances for Gavin and MC that take place in a "wedding/newlyweds/fiancées" setting.
1) The Whole S1 CH15... You were wondering when I would make a CH15 reference weren't you? 🤣 Besides my gushing about this episode here and here, the most prominent thing about this was how MC and Gavin were taking care of Perry in a family portrait setting. Not to mention they were mistaken for his parents twice.
2) S2 Guardian Project.. . Gavin and MC visit a tausend year old marriage tree... On the Northern Mountain!
3) The Stories Project...Gavin and MC investigate a man who's lost his fiancée and committed suicide. This was the hardest story I've ever read in the MLQC universe and how this story resembled that of Gavin and MCs frightens me up to this day.
4) The whole series of Brangelina-style adoptions😂... Let's be honest, these two adopt anything and everything, regardless of whether they are living beings or mere objects. Their children's names are: Sparky, Pearly, Thorny, Greene, Little Blacky, Flyer, Jumpy, Perry*, Panda*. Sorry dear nonny I needed a relief after remembering the "Stories" Project :D
5) Role-playing "Mrs. Bai" on the Fragrant Traces Date and boy it was a delight 😍😍😍
6) I can swear that their kiss in S1 CH37 is on the 7th step of the 3rd floor stairs but can't prove it🙈. It is a Loveland High School legend that says the couples would have an everlasting love of they kiss there. It's just my Headcanon though so has to be enjoyed with a grain of salt ;)

Not to say that romance and a complex handling of historical colonialism in a tv show isn't possible, but with bridgerton the main problem is how it's not something they're interested in prioritizing or writing well bc they're too busy trying to make sense of how they're gonna handle Penelope as Lady Whistledown, or handle the 6+ other side plots for the families in a soap opera-esque fashion. And I don't think it's an issue to just have a fun, cheesy way of handling those side plots! But at least know how much you can put on your writing plate. It's like with the Shadow and Bone writers thinking that it's overall decent enough to just shoehorn negative aspects of being a biracial character in a pseudo-russian setting without at least placing some positive aspects to that identity as well. And it's bizarre to see so many reviewers rightfully take issue with both shows over this, yet the bridgerton writing team is like "hmm let's add some more fast solutions to issues that are still plaguing society today"
I don't know if it honestly is possible to handle colonialism well in the specific world that Bridgerton has created. The horses have kinda already left the stables, imo, when you have someone being like HOW AWESOME IS IT THAT WE AREN'T RACIST ANYMORE BECAUSE LOVE. I think there are likely authors who have handled racism and colonialism in historical romance well, but tbh, the subgenre is still very much a (slow) work in progress on that front in terms of books, which have more freedom and more inner dialogue through which things can be worked out...
I would agree that Shadow and Bone is a good comparison. The thing is that I get that there is an impulse to confront issues like race in colonialism in these genre shows (and I do count romance as its own kind of fantasy) and like... Yes, we should absolutely do that. But you have to do it *WELL*. You can't just do it to try and look good, because you will be doing it wrong. You have to mean it.
There's also just no way to do this right for everyone. There will always be critics who say that there is no way to properly place an actor of color in a world based on a very racist history, and pull it off. I don't know if that's correct--it's not my place to say. Then there is the critique, which does make sense to me, that argues that it should be possible for people of color to take part in and enjoy the simplicity of the romantic fantasy, without constantly having to have their guards up for microaggressions (like, imo, the backstory in s1 was--I see it as a microaggression). The most important thing would be, I'd think, to have a writing staff made up of people of color who want to do this story, but have differing opinions on how it should be done. Then you could have a dialogue about it and come to, ideally, a more thoughtful solution.
I just feel like the show wants the good press that it gets from including people of color (and the eyeballs, of course) without actually... Doing the work. And I don't have the answers for what is right here, I just feel like it's pretty clear when something is wrong.

sleepy anon speaking, yup I made it! And first of all THANK YOU?? I was literally joking about you writing something, and then you just did it?? It was absolutely perfect, the cuteness made me go all mushy and oohhh and I still can't get over it you wonderful brilliant person. What a nice and lovely thing to do, that and the clip made my night
(2) and I thought Oh wow I guess I HAVE to watch it, subtitles are probably taking a bit. And then the website crashed and I was like are you KIDDING me rn (just like old times I'm tellin ya, completely forgot the sheer agony that comes with watching sth you really care about live). After an eternity (like one and a half minutes) passed, it finally loaded and the first shock was the 16 FUCKING MINUTES. I was like whoaaa okay buckle u p it's gonna be a ride. And it absolutely was!
(3) The Opening was so iconique with the colors omg! My Italian is sadly quite shitty and I got a lot of things wrong, I thought the voice messages at the beginning were from Martino's family and that Italian Eskild (I LOVE HIM) told Ele that a certain Niccolò would occupy her room while she's in England (I deadass died here, I was hyperventilating so hard until the subs came through and I was like...oh.) And I thought the boys really wanted to go to Argentina haha that got me a bit confused :D
(4, last one I'm so sorry for spamming your inbox) All in all, it was a solid clip. I'm also not happy about the Mahdi thing but at least Elia wasn't as homophobic in s1 than the other elias-characters. And ngl, I still don't know about Edoardo, he's not THAT bad I guess but Imo he could still be a bit nicer. But Idk he also gets the benefit of doubt for now. Things I also loved about the clip were Martino answering the fucking phone and saying I don't live here and the Gio-hug in the end!

1. yeah it wasn’t geoblocked for me either which was kinda surprising but who knows maybe its an EU thing .. or where are you from? 2. god yeah! when it was finally up it didnt load for me and skdjskdjsd i remember that vividly from skam s4 and it sucked both times! RIGHT?! 16 minutes was so long i looove it i hope they continue to make these clips looong af 3. i dont understand a word italian (thats a lie i know pronot ciao alora and dificile ... im basically fluent) so i thought it was martinos family too and when i saw what it really was oh man ... its crushing and heartbreaking and so horrible and just reminded me just HOW important this season and its message will be I LOOOOVE italian eskild!! i love how we all instantly knew when he appeared who hes was gonna be he has the energy (also that hair works on him for some reason, as does the shirt! ... was his name filippo or did i dream that?)

4. TRu! to be fair elia made a comment but nothing that other characters in og didnt do too so he wasnt as bad as elias (god remember when we shamed s1 elias of og skam in all the fics? Good Times) and yeah agreed about the casting choices - i do very much see the negative points as i said before and its nothing to neglect but im excited for the next decisions theyre gonna make and hope its gonna go uphill from here heh 
i dont know about eduardo either i mean ... haaah im decidedly NO FAN of dickhelm (im sorry if that offends anyone but i wrote first william and then willhelm and thats just not his name for me anymore) but i do agree that the remake versions of him seem nicer or more human ... idk eduardo feels like he COULD become nicer but i want a better redeeming arch than just one nice comment to vilde which arguably had an ultirior motive .. so i remain testy but hopeful ig?
