Ponds is named Ponds because of his cautious nature and tendency to philosophy (pondering)

New Mandalorians rejected many traditions among them the tradition of adoption and that anyone can be a Mandalorian if they swear Resol'nare. That's why they are mostly human and blond.

High General is in charge of a System Army that consists of two Sector Armies and has two attached fleets; in times of war the Jedi High Council consists of High Generals. Obi-Wan was promoted to the council due to his prior war experience on Melida/Daan.

Each battalion has ARCs and Commandos attached.

Gregor is head of 212th's commandos.

Jedi are not getting paid for their participation in war efforts.

Due to the nature of their upbringing Jedi's and clones' reference points of normal are very far from the galaxy baseline. Surprisingly they are well positioned to understand each other though.

Clones tend to call children tubies and teenagers cadets.

Clones love water and rain.

Clones tend to think natural pregnancies are extremely weird (why would you put this process into someone's body if there is a perfectly good tube right here.).

Clones are made for Jedi but the Jedi are also made for clones.

Propaganda machine sold the clone troopers as protectors and saviors to the population of the republic and they are widely loved.

That being said clones are not legally recognized as sentients.

During their training on Kamino clones wanted war to come because they regarded it as freedom.

but I also adore the option that he dyes it, that it's his way of showing his individuality, and it also has much angst potential with not being able to dye it in certain situations(umbara after krell was an asshole and told him to stop dying, kadavo where he couldn't at all and all kinds of other stuff)and that part of him being ripped away from him

just wanted to say that I love both

Okay, so, long ramble incoming, I apologise XD. I headcanon Rex to be a natural blond. I also headcanon him to have been deployed in Cody's 212th ad a lieutenant first. When they both first meet their Jedi, General Kenobi and his padawan Anakin, Rex still keeps his hair normal regulation length. Of course the jedi notice this, because he's like the only blond clone in a sea of dark hair. So he gets really insecure about it, because kaminoan upbringing sucks (even though the Jedi didn't mean anything by it of course). So later, when Cody tells him that he's been selected for ARC training and will mostly likely start leading his own men instead of under his big brother, Rex asks him for help to shave his hair off and it's this kind of significant moment between both of them.

So yeahhh, sorry for this being so long lol, but do with it whatever you like!

"Are you sure, vod?"

Rex presses his lips together and nods.

"I don't want to stand out, Cody. I am a soldier just like anyone else. I am nothing special. I will be an ARC trooper but that makes me no more or less worthy of attention than any of my men. I don't... I can't give them the feeling that I am different from them, not in any way. Because I'm not, it's just a stupid defect. If anything, I am damaged goods."

Cody sighs deeply.

"You are not damaged goods, brother. There is no shame in being different, not if it is not your fault and not if it does not influence your ability to do your duty," he says gently. Rex turns around in his chair to look up at his older brother.

"It does, though. The men treat me differently- the Jedi treat me differently. It's like they forget that I am just the same as any other trooper here."

"Any other man," Cody mumbles and Rex flinches.

"I never wanted to be different. I want this all gone. Please."

Cody puts a hand on Rex's shoulder to calm him and keep him still - as if a future ARC trooper would tremble at the sight of a mere razor. But he does, Cody can feel the little tremors in the way Rex's shoulders shift, in the way his jaw clenches. Cody inhales deeply and lifts the razor.

And as blond curls fall to the floor and into Rex's lap, tears fall with them. Whether they are tears of relief or sadness, Cody will never know.

If you're out and get cold, he's grumbling about how you should've brought more jackets, but then he's wrapping his jacket around you and would take off his shirt if you need it

He nags at you <//3 he can't help it, he hates to see you cold

If Tsukishima sees you shiver, you best believe he's pulling you into his arms and wrapping himself around you the best he can

"You're cold?" There's a frown on Tsukishima's face as you nod, the tall blond taking his backpack off and handing it to you.

"You'd think that if you got cold every time we went out, you'd bring more jackets but no. And you always tell me at the last possible moment-"

"But you like seeing me in your jacket."

Tsukishima's mouth opens in protest, but the protest dies on his lips and he just rolls his eyes.

"Shut up."

And suddenly you're walking right next to him, your intertwined fingers placed into your pocket, warming you up.

It's quiet as you walk for a moment, before Tsukishima's throat clears, grabbing your attention.

"Warming up?"

At your nod Tsukishima sounds his approval, hands squeezed once, a small gesture that lets you know he was worried.

He radiates heat, and so his arms and hands are always really warm

He's also really good at picking up that you're cold

You shiver the slightest and suddenly Suga's head is resting on your shoulder and he's hugging you from behind and warming you up like a weighted, heated blanket

"Cold?"

Nights were cold, and even with the two blankets wrapped around you, the freezing night air seeped it's way through the blankets, chilling you to the bone.

"Koushi come here."

Suga laughs slightly as he tucks you into his front, wrapping his arms around you, and squeezing you tightly against his chest once before sighing and relaxing.

"We should get heated blankets."

Suga doesn't even finish his sentence when you agree, causing said boy to vocalize his shopping plans for the next day, voice slipping away as sleep grabs him.

He radiates heat, and you can feel yourself starting to overheat under the blankets, but Suga has you securely in his arms, holding tight so you don't leave.

Akaashi Keiji

So sometimes when he holds your hand it makes you colder :(

He'll give you his sweater before you can ask, and he'll try to warm you up

But he's just... naturally cold

"Keiji I'm cold."

Akaashis eyes light up as he takes your hand in his, the cold from his hands making you shiver once before he puts your intertwined hands in his pockets, surprising you at how warm it was.

The look of surprise on your face is enough for Akaashi to smile shyly, pulling the free hand out of his other pocket, showing you his new find.

"I got rechargable hand warmers." His smile dosent leave his face as he plays with the hand warmer for a second before putting it into your other pocket so your free hand would be warm.

You walk quietly for a moment, filled with affection before Akaashi speaks up again, anxious because of your lack of answer.

"Because you said my hands are cold all the time, and I thought you might not want to hold my hands... if you're already cold."

He turns to you with an embarrassed look on his face, and if his other hand wasn't buried deeply into his pocket, it would be rubbing his neck.

"Thank you Keiji."

hello! so i saw a lot of your posts about how having blond clones (i.e. Omega or Rex) is racist bc blond hair is primarily eurocentric, so i was wondering if it's ok to hc them as having bleached their hair? (bc esp for Rex that would be an individuality thing, like how a bunch of clones have tattoos, etc.) bc like i know that doesn't take away from the racism of the creators, but at least in universe would that be ok/better?

Headcanoning them, as far as I've seen, is fine!

The issue with them being blonde is that they're naturally blonde--and also written, to some degree, as having a higher level of desirability (Rex being basically the best clone out there, Omega being a pure copy of Jango, etc)

I don’t want to jump on @phantom-of-the-keurig​’s ‘is Rex a natural blond’ post because it’s very nonlinear at this point, plus from what I’ve seen I’m very clearly in the minority here, but I do want to share my take on it.

First and foremost, your headcanon is your headcanon and honestly I can take it either way in fic however

There are 3 core reasons I prefer the Rex Dyes His Hair theory

It’s (debatably) canon and definitely Legends canon

Apart from his armor and helmet, Rex doesn’t really have anything identifying beyond the scar on his chin, so dying his hair blond in such an admittedly extra manner is a way for him to express his individualism beyond his hardshell, that doesn’t involve a souvenir from an injury.

It’s just fucking funny to think about him coming back after a long campaign with black regrowth

‘Oh but it’s so high maintenance and his hair would fall out if he kept it that short and bleached it all the time’

Nah, mate. Been there done that myself and trust me, it’s both a) easy to do (especially if you’ve got a super convenient gffa grooming droid because LBR there’s no way pre-S7 Kix’s zigzags were so immaculate all the time without one) and b) your hair does not fall out unless it’s already super fragile. When your natural hair colour is black and it’s so tough and wiry you’d need to give it five bleach jobs in a row to even get it to look that fried, and when it’s buzzed you’re always shaving off the really damaged stuff. Again, speaking from experience.

(I also lowkey HC that as they really started running out of Jango Juice toward the end there, they started mixing in other human DNA as it became more and more unstable, and that’s why we see cadets with other hair colours but not so much with the older clones)

Ahhh Gala you have no idea how much this made me cackle!! I tried to search for it, but I did make a text post basically imagining this exact scenario once; I made the joke that for the purposes of IA Rex is a natural blonde, but Talia asks where he keeps his bleach because she wants to touch up her roots and he's just like 'wait wut'. Becuase he's like 'you think I bleach my hair?' and also thrown because he's like 'wait you're not a natural blonde?' and Talia just points at the blonder streaks in her hair and is like 'this isn't natural Rex'

but this is such a domestically cute image - partially because i HC that Rex loves playing with Talia's hair (like twirling it in his fingers, brushing it out of her face, etc) I'm imagining Talia sitting with the most intricately folded foils in her hair while she sits behind Rex touching up his roots. Fives probably walks in and takes a picture.

Are metas hcs? Cause if so I have a couple to share.

One: Rex is a natural blond, and he's extremely self conscious about it because it made him a target to Kaminoans and clones alike on Kamino. He couldn't wait to cut it all off when he graduated.

Two: He's a great singer, but he only sings by himself, to Cody, or to other brothers grieving or suffering by themselves. He absolutely sang to Fives after the Citadel.

Three: He picked up a knack for engineering from Anakin. He mainly messes with his blasters and likes figuring out how to hotwire doors.

Four: More building on canon, but he's a ridiculously good shot. Everyone thought that if he didn't make it as an officer and wasn't taken for whatever the Kaminoans wanted to do, he'd end up as a sniper.

I wanna know the character limit for asks cuase this is the longest one I think I’ve ever received

Random Clone Wars HCs

I was kinda board and wanted to post something and CW headcanons was the first thing that popped into my head. Most of mine are clone-related.

All this stuff will most likely make it into my writing somehow or other.

Clones have a heck ton of stretch marks from their accelerated growth, and get really bad growing pains when they’re younger.

The clones are also all aprox. 5′ 9″ like Mr. Morrison.

Once and for all, the clones do, in fact, have belly buttons. (This really isn’t even a headcanon. The umbilical cords don’t show up in the growth pods in the Clone Wars, but you can see them in Attack of the Clones.)

Rex’s hair is naturally blonde. (It’s a harmless aesthetic mutation, similar to some clones having different-colored eyes or slight height differences.)

Even though they’re all about the same age (and they’re all technically about 10-13 years old), the clones’ maturity differs by individual. Some of the oldest, battle-hardened clones with good Jedi exhibit the maturity of young adults, while some young shinies, without the experience or guidance of wise officers or Jedi, retain much childish immaturity.

Many clones, especially those who remain immature, suffer greatly from depression. Let’s just say a lot of casualties could have been prevented if these men’s emotional needs were met. (More mature clones typically, though not always, learn to carry on.)

Depending on their experience and influences, the clones have many different views of females. Many of them, to be sure, are taught a general flirtiness, while others suffer from almost complete ignorance and thus awkwardness. Some few are taught or learn to be more respectful and cautious.

By-in-large, clones aren’t used to nat-borns (excepting some Jedi) treating them as equals. Depending on their situation, they may be truly shocked or simply pleasantly surprised by positive interactions.

Congratulations on 200 followers 🎉 I'll bite with the ship requests. Starting with what you listed: I've never actually sent one before tbh. I'm a female and I go by she/her pronouns. I'm a good ol' pisces. I'm a short person (5ft), my hair is like a dirty blonde and I have blue-green eyes. I got thighs for days, so I have that going for me. I'm definitely more on the thin side, but I'm not a skinny little stick. Vibes I give to others? I'm told I'm a nice person, and that I'm funny and a smart ass. People also think I come off as innocent, like someone who doesn't ever swear and wouldn't ever be extremely angry or something. I've been called cheerful and people always wonder how I have so much energy in the morning. I like giving people things, and sharing. It makes me happy to see other people happy, and I'm definitely, 100%, very stubborn. If I don't want to do something, I will dig my heels in and you are not changing my mind. If I want to do something, you're going to have to try really hard to get me to not do it, but I'm not likely to listen. Despite my cheerful nature, I can be pretty shy. I'm not likely to go and talk happily right away unless you approach me first and just have like, easy to get along with energy (like probably Echo). If you come off as gruff and an asshole (Like Crosshair cause he seems like an asshole), I'd probably just retreat further into my shell. I try not to hold grudges, but I kind of do. I'll give an example of something that actually happened. I let my brother borrow object A to take with him to go somewhere. He lost it because someone (probably) stole it. He didn't really apologize and insisted it wasn't really his fault because it got stolen. I'm, obviously, upset because he lost something that was mine, but I'm not gonna sit here and be all mad over it and let it affect how I treat him. However, if he asks to borrow something of mine to take with him somewhere, you bet your ass I'm gonna say no and reminded him of that. Kind of like a forgive but never forget. I'm also really good at getting mad at myself for doing stuff that, if someone else had done, I wouldn't get mad, or being hesitant to do things that, if someone else did, I wouldn't bat an eye. Like a, it's okay if someone else does it but it's not okay if I do it. Applies to me but not to thee. I also daydream, like all the time. It's embarrassing how much I do, to be honest. It's also why I really like reading because I can just submerge myself into the great big universe that isn't the one I live in. I promise, this will be the last thing I mention with my overly long, overly explained thingy (I'm really bad about over-explaining. I do it all the time), I 100% love music. I was even in a marching band when I was in high school. I played trumpet, french horn, a lil of the tenor sax, a bit of piano and I can kind of play like the marimba and the glockenspiel (bells). I really like music theory, and least the fun parts, not the parts that make you cry, and, if given the chance, I could go on and on about music and probably talk your ear off. It's one of the few things I can just talk over and not get tired of talking. Anyways I'm going to stop typing now. I don't know how to end messages so here's a smiley face 😊

So it’s a no brainer

100% it’s Rex and you want to know why. Its because you have a smile that could light up a room and every ounce of energy that you exude turns a little light on inside rex’s heart and gives him the little boost he needs to get through the day

You have grit, and you have your own mind and Rex absolutely adores that about you. He has to make important decisions every single day and he values the fact that you are able to challenge him and take the lead when he just can’t anymore.

He really loves how you are around his brothers, you are like a little rest from the war, allowing them to be normal and have fun, even if sometimes you rile them up into trouble that Rex has to sort out later.

I HC that Rex is really into smooth Jazz (think Kind of Blue - Miles Davis) as it just Calms him, but he is super interested in your analyses of your favourite works, because he likes to understand how things work and are put together

Rex realy enjoys spending his time with you, even if for some of it you are off with the fairies.

He always makes sure to remind you when he sees that you’re being too hard on yourself. He does it in the most low key way, placing a hand on your shoulder and saying something like “How would you have reacted if Fives had done it.” and he won’t leave until you had reevaulated and started with more positivity

You two are the blondest baddest bitches in the GAR and definitely have the rest of the battalion jealous with how good you two look together.
