San Francisco usually wasn't a crazy city. Sure the traffic sucked, but at least the views were nice. The local shops always had something interesting and you were guaranteed to find a coffee shop on every block. Over all, you were glad you moved there, it was a nice change in your life - one that you needed.
However, when this group of so called 'Titans' showed up, things got pretty out of control. Buildings got destroyed, people were put in harms way with the sudden increase in villains showed up to take these guys out. You hadn't had the luxury of running into any of them, hopefully you wouldn't have to.
You moved there to get away from your hectic life, you didn't want to be thrown right back into something even worse. The news was filled with these guys - a girl getting chased on rooftop by her deranged father, Robin falling to his death only to be saved by someone who resembled Superman, even a green tiger.
It was interesting seeing them all on the news, but other than that, you never wanted to be involved in any accident that they caused. It seemed they were used to hurting people more than saving them - even if it was accidental.
San Francisco seemed to be safer than the last city you were in. For once, you could walk home with your headphones in and not worry about your surroundings. Just like any night, you walked from work back to your apartment in the late hours of the night, wanting nothing more than to just crash in your bed.
The night was cold and no matter how tightly your wrapped your coat around yourself it didn't bring any more warmth. The sound of traffic was tuned out by your headphones. Street lights illuminated your path and you were so close to your home that you could almost smell the inside of it. Not actually, but you really missed your room after that long day.
The sound of a crash overpowered your music. You turned back to see what had happened by the second you had done so all you could see was the tail end of a car coming directly towards you. There was no time to move out of the way or even to think. Even if there was, you were frozen in your spot with fear.
A body crashed into you before the metal of a car. Your heart rate was going so incredibly fast that black spots filled your vision. You should have been dead, that car was coming right at you. You tried so hard to keep yourself awake, but the only thing that you saw was a red 'S' on a black t-shirt as you passed out completely.
><
You woke up to arguing and bright lights staring down at you. Your head was pounding and it took you a moment to remember what had happened. A car had nearly hit you and somehow you impossibly had been saved. Then, embarrassingly you completely passed out from shock. Wherever you were now, it certainly wasn't a hospital.
There were several people standing together, each of them trying to talk over one another. You sat up on the bed, rubbing your eyes in hopes that this headache would go away. "Uh," you spoke up, but none of them had heard you. They were too engrossed in arguing to notice that you had woken up.
"Hello?" You tried again. Still nothing. You tried to listen in to what they were talking about and quickly came to the conclusion that it was you. Whoever saved you obviously wasn't supposed to bring you there, that was what the yelling was about. There was also the point that you couldn't just be left in the street unconscious - another good point.
This time, you coughed loud enough for one of them to look over at you. Your eyes narrowed in on his t-shirt, it was the same one that had saved you. And it wasn't just any 'S', it was Superman's logo. Whoever this guy was, he was obviously fast enough to be related to the man of steel himself.
As you looked at the others in the group, you picked up on who they were as well. Fiery red hair, bright green hair, these were the people that were on the news. You were in the Titans home base with the heroes themselves. "Holy shit," you mumbled out, eyes wide. There were a few there that you didn't recognize and you were sure it was only because they were in civvies.
"You're the Titans," your jaw fell slack. As much as you bashed them to your friends, saying how much danger they brought to this city, meeting them had been completely different. This was a group of people that kicked ass and had quite literally saved your life. You never thought you'd meet them, especially under these circumstances.
The oldest one - or at least you assumed him to be - looked at the one with the green hair. "Don't let them leave," he ordered. The others followed him out into the hall. They had no idea what to do with you, that was obvious. Conner shouldn't have brought you there. They understood he was still new at this, but he should have known better.
You still felt in shock. Shock from nearly dying. Shock from being saved. Shock from waking up in the Titan's home base. You never expected your day to go like this, and you never wished it to. These masked heroes brought nothing but trouble to San Francisco... and yet if it wasn't for them you wouldn't be standing there.
The green haired one awkwardly rocked back and forth on his heels. This must have been the one that could turn into the tiger - at least it made the most sense in your mind. He avoided looking at you. The squeak of his sneakers against the floor and the hum of the medical equipment at your side was the only sound in the room. It drove you nuts.
"Can you turn into any animal or just a tiger?" You suddenly blurted out, unable to take this awkward silence any more. His eyes widened at your question. How did you even know that he could do that? How had you pieced together that they were the Titans so quickly anyways? None of them were in their suits.
"Uh..." Gar trailed off. "Tiger is just the easiest," he answered. "How did you know that I could do that?" You raised your eyebrows at him - was he serious? Without words you point to your own hair. He seemed to understand what you meant. Green tiger, green hair, it was pretty easy to put together. You could see his cheeks tint red.
"My name's Garfield. Gar," He tried to cover up his embarrassment. Gar cringed at the sound of his voice cracking.
"Should you be telling me that?" You asked. Wasn't the whole point of being a hero having a secret identity? This was the first time that you had met one, and it certainly felt like he didn't really know what he was doing. Nonetheless, you were just happy that they didn't kill you for knowing their identity - or their secret location.
"You already know what I look like what's the harm in knowing my name?" Gar shrugged. He wanted nothing more than to get the attention off of him - so he decided to throw the new guy under the bus. "Besides I think Conner kinda already has a crush on you, so."
"Super-rip-off?" You asked. To be fair, you didn't know his name, or if he even was related to the great Superman. All you knew, was that he had saved your life and you were grateful for it. And from what small glimpse you got of him, he was pretty cute too.
"He probably heard that," Gar told you. Heat rose to your cheeks with embarrassment. "But yes. Superboy. He's the one that saved you and brought you here. Really, he probably should have taken you to a hospital but he's kinda new at this whole thing so, yeah. I guess now they're trying to figure out what to do with you."
"So, have I been kidnapped?" You asked again. The leader had said that you weren't allowed to leave and that Gar was supposed to stop you if you tried to. Would you ever be allowed to leave again if you knew their secrets? Would they really trust a stranger that they just met? They didn't even know your name!
"Um, that's unclear," Gar answered. To be honest, he really didn't know what Dick planned to do with you. After growing up alongside Batman, it was drilled into him to be super cautious. He knew how to keep his identity safe and not let anyone know who he really was. Conner had ruined that pretty quick.
"My name's (Y//N), by the way," You told him, sticking your hand out for him to shake. Gar grinned and accepted it. For everything that just happened to you, you were taking it all pretty well. He expected you to freak out, or even something worse like faint again. "I guess if I am being kidnapped you should at least know who I is."
Gar pulled one of the chairs beside the bed to sit across from you. He started asking you questions about your life - what you did, what you liked to do in you spare time, things like that. It was nice talking with him. For a kid, he seemed like a very genuine guy. You wanted to ask about him, but considering his lifestyle, it didn't seem like a good idea.
It felt like hours that you were stuck in there, chatting away as the people outside that room tried to figure out just what to do with you. Finally, the man that saved you - Conner - and the one who ordered Gar to stay with you, came back in. The two other women that were with them earlier hadn't come back.
You smiled at them both, hoping that your kindness would lessen whatever sort of punishment they had coming for you. Conner looked flustered at your smile, proving Gar's theory even more.
"Superboy shouldn't have brought you here," The oldest one spoke. He looked familiar, and it took you a few moments to realize why. He was that kid in the circus - the one that's parents died in the middle of an act. The Flying Graysons - this must have been Dick. "We talked abo-"
"You're Dick Grayson!" You grinned. Excitement grew within you for meeting someone you idolized as a child. "I went to like four of your shows when I was a kid! Oh my god you and your family were like my heroes! We stopped at Haly's Circus for three weeks straight. You were the reason I joined gymnastics, I wanted to be like you!"
Dick looked taken aback by your sudden outburst, as did Gar and Conner. His shock turned to a smile, it was nice to see someone who remembered his time in the circus. It reminded him of his childhood, being back there - no responsibilities, no drama, just fun. What were the odds that Conner picked up one of his old fans?
Why was he here? What connection did he have to the Titans? The three men watched as the gears in your brain turned as you pieced everything together. Bruce Wayne took him in when he was a kid - right around the same time that Robin - another childhood hero of yours - showed up. Was he Robin?
No, the one on the news a couple months back was shorter, and had different hair. But the Robin that was in Gotham - the Robin that you looked up to - had the same acrobatic techniques as Dick had. "You're Robin," you looked over him, picturing him with a mask and green suit. "The old Robin. Which means... Bruce... Holy shit!"
"Wow you put that together a little too quickly," Gar looked impressed by your analytical skills. First guessing that he was the tiger, then Conner being related to Superman in someway, now Dick being Robin? You were good. "And you look angry," he looked over at his mentor. Dick's arms were crossed and his jaw tight. This little revelation just made things far more complicated.
"Oh I'm so fucked," You whispered to yourself. Knowing who Batman was? That was something that very few people knew about. You certainly weren't supposed to know and yet here you were. "I don't suppose you'll just believe me when I say I'm really good at keeping secrets and that I promise to never say anything?"
"I do, actually," Conner spoke for the first time since you had met him. The three of you looked at him in shock. This man didn't know you, he couldn't possible just believe your word like that. "I can hear your heartbeat, you weren't lying."
"So I can go?"
"No," Dick stopped you. "If I find out that you did tell anyone out secret, I will find you. Trust me, I'll be far more kinder to you than Batman." Conner could hear your heart rate once more. This time, it was erratic - you were scared. You gulped and nodded your head. The last thing you wanted to do was get on their bad side.
Dick gestured for you to follow him. You did, with Gar and Conner only a few steps behind the both of you. The apartment was massive, and beautiful. But if Bruce Wayne was funding it you expected nothing less. You didn't get to look at much before reaching an elevator. Dick pressed the button and the doors opened wide for you to walk in.
"You don't want my name? Address? Anything to track me down?" You asked.
"I've already got a file on you," Dick answered. You should have known that he would. If he was really Robin, he would have found out everything about you the second you were carried through those doors. "And if I really wanted to find you, it wouldn't be that hard. Just remember what I said."
"Right. Don't tell anyone or Batman will break my bones. Got it," you shuddered at the thought, walking into the elevator. "Nice meeting you all, I guess." You looked over at Conner, "Thanks for saving me, and uh, feel free to call me," you winked right before the doors closed. Gar was right, and he was cute.
Conner's face flushed red. They watched in the small screen as you went down. A smile grew on your face - it wasn't very often you were so forward like that. But hey, you weren't going to see him again so why not? Unless, he did actually call you - which was unlikely. Did heroes have romantic partners?
Conner looked over at his friends. Gar was giving him a thumbs up at the win and Dick was holding back a chuckle. None of them expected their evenings to go like that, but it sure was interesting to see it play out. You seemed like a nice person, and by the way that Conner could tell that you weren't lying, a trustworthy one as well.
"You have their number in that file, right?"

Nursery
The evening light looks orange enough to catch fire through the window. Its such a nice day to start working on the most important room of their home. It’s more than just a room actually, the nursery.  It’s a precious and tangible promise. A promise of a life that would be full of everything a child should have.  A promise of a childhood free of pain or worry or neglect, one that would know unconditional love and attention in abundance. There was a large ivory rug that covered half of the gray hardwood floors, to the white furniture, which consisted of the changing table and dresser. They already had the antique birch and oak crib that belonged to the Wayne family. Pennyworth insisted they kept it.
Inside these mint green walls, no joy would ever be denied to him. Damian would make certain of that. Everything his son desired, every need satisfied, every wish made true. His child would be cared for, tenderly nurtured and assuredly protected. By all means. He would make sure to set consistent rules and limits, keep in mind that conflicts are one way that children first learn about self-control, compromise and cooperation that’s what he had read. They had been expecting Malik for six months and twelve days now. Yes, he was definitely keeping track of the days. He prepared a pregnancy calendar board marked with the ultrasound appointments, prenatal classes, and other details in case of emergency. Reminders. Raven had commented several times he tried too hard, but Damian had this compulsive need to be in control of everything. They were creating their own family together, As a future father Damian wanted everything down to the littlest detail to be perfect.
Was his first son’s arrival anticipated with so much enthusiasm from both Kent and Wayne family, his heart swelled with a familiar warmth. Malik would be loved and probably spoiled by his siblings. Jason was already saying he would teach him shoot accurately without missing a single target, as soon he was able to hold a toy blaster, Dick kept mentioning Mar’i needed a playmate preferably Tamaranean-proof, Tim as usual didn’t show much excitement but the last time there had been a spark of interest in his dark blue eyes when they showed his family the 4K ultrasound video from the last obstetrician’s appointment. Stephanie hoped he liked waffles. Malik would have a very different life. Father...Bruce was still digesting the news of becoming a grandfather. Damian could swear for a second caught the glimpse of an emotional Alfred tearing up tears of joy, the British man promised to be around to help in any way the young couple requested. A new Wayne heir.
He can’t help wondering at times, even under different circumstances. Did someone personally build him a nursery? He knew the obvious answer no. Did his mother think to baby-proof the whole League of Assassins compound? He highly doubted it.
Perhaps this was what fatherhood was about: Staying up at night, thinking incessantly about his son’s life and future, worrying about which school he would attend, if he would practice a sport, maybe basketball like Dick, or take after him, take interest in martial arts and swordsmanship. There was no need to get worked up over numbers for a college fund. Eventually he would be in charge of Wayne Enterprises, thankfully Drake sticked around to manage the overall operations, assist the board meetings, whenever Damian was away from Gotham due to Titans or Batman’s business. Drake indeed proved to be quite clever and capable. His mind went back to his son. Will Malik feel loved? Have absolutely no doubts he was wanted. Damian would be by his side ensuring he did. Silently vowing.
Now if only he could finish assembling the convertible crib. He hasn't tried to throw any items of furniture yet, but he's fraying dangerously close to actually doing it. This fucking manual was useless. Damian was currently siting on the hardwood floor, eyes carefully scanning the sheet of instructions again for the fifth time.
“Don’t tell me you’re still in here.” Raven asked her husband with hands on hips as she entered the room. Her long hair in a loose braid, wearing an oversized shirt and comfortable shorts. His green eyes focused on her round belly. She looked so beautiful with a life growing inside her. Her beauty stabbed at his heart like a great knife The miracle of procreation. A new life. Damian had spend the last two hours in the baby’s nursery, claiming he didn’t need help doing a simple task as building a crib. Not Grayson or Jon. Specifically not Conner Kent.
“I’m not leaving this room until this damn crib is properly assembled!” Damian replied obviously annoyed and frustrated. She could perceive his increasing frustration miles away. A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Dealing with pregnancy hormones and an annoyed husband wasn’t easy.
“We could always ask Clark or Jon for help...” Raven suggested vaguely, violet eyes flickering around the room. It was unlikely that Batman had any experience when it comes to baby furniture. On second thought having two Kryptonians with superhuman strength, surrounded by fragile baby furniture...Idea dismissed.
“Over my dead body.” Damian muttered stubbornly, jaw set like the idea of asking for help is a personal insult.
Raven just shook her head and headed over the dresser and looked at several of the outfits that they already had for little Malik, who recently started kicking her with more force, at first it was just a tiny quiver, Raven admitted it was tremendously exciting when she felt it, like a flutter. Damian was there right next to her, wearing an amazed expression on his face, but then Malik began kicking more in the evening, recurrently, she noticed. He was also an early riser just like his father. She observed that some of the onesies were from some members of the Justice League. There’s was a Aquaman one, Flash, Superman, recalling it was a present from Clark and Jon. She smiled softly as she pulled out a black one with the Batman symbol on it with the words saying 'Future Batman' on it. She took it, turning around to show it to Damian with a raised eyebrow. “Whose ideas was this?”
“Don’t look at me. Grayson thought it would be an appropriate gift.” Damian muttered sulkily as he continued reading the manual of instructions for the crib he insisted assembling himself, studying it with knitted eyebrows. Was the manual in Swedish? What there anything this man couldn’t do? Except perhaps build this Swedish convertible crib which was clearly giving him a headache.
“Why am I not surprised?” She rolled her eyes as she caressed her swollen belly affectionately. She did it often, out of instinct. It felt so natural...yet strange. In less than three months she would become a mother.
Mother. She was about to be someone's mother. She had only ever pictured the idea in an abstract sort of way, never really picturing it clearly until Damian brought it up about four months after their engagement. Even after a Damian came into her life, she never imagined he would want to have a child with her, if she were being honest. She was not human. This child was not completely human and yet she was certain of risking her own life protecting from any harm. It’s the type of love that leaves you speechless at the end of the day. It’s a love so pure you almost think it can’t be real. Lois told her once all the forces on this planet will never beat that of a mother. Those words were probably a universal truth.
I am writing this oneshot but I’m not sure I can finish it. But here’s a fragment. I apologise if it isn’t that good but it’s 3am and I’m exhausted 😅😅😅
Malik belongs to @deep-in-mind67 💚💚💚💚

@ravenfan1242 You said short and it started short and well, it just became this the way only an open prompt can... I hope it’s remotely decent!!!
----
Raven leaned against the table and under her light weight, Jason could swear the solid structure shifted. From the moment she arrived, brandishing an eco-friendly tote, she was weighted down. Even after relinquishing the heavy bag, she still seemed to sag into it.
"I'm worried, Jason."
"Raven, don't be," he offered quickly. "I mean, look around you, it's fine."
"No, it's not fine." A heavy sigh exited her body. "There's something else I'm forgetting... I just feel like I should do something... Something more."
"That's pretty clear." He pointed at the huge bag of groceries on the kitchen counter. It was all organic and more than enough fodder to sustain two down and out Jason Todds for a month. Completely and utterly unnecessary. But, if you spent enough time brushing the tuxedo-covered and satin gloved elbows of the Gotham elite, you grew familiar with the concept of overcompensation. "I don't know why you're worried. I have everything I need here - and some. Oh and good morning - by the way."
Her blue-violet eyes narrowed and then ran their lap around the space for about the eighth time. "Natural light... That's the problem." She wrung her hands together. "There's no natural light... But, I should have figured that bulbs alone weren't enough."
"You think I need exposure to sunlight? That's certainly rich." Jason's chin jutted in her direction. "It really means so much coming from you." The half-demon's pallor was pretty standout in the tight black v-neck, more than usual, which was saying something. It was like someone had flipped a switch to change the settings to negative, then pointed it solely on her, leaving the colors of her skin and sweater equally inverted.
"You're vitamin D deficient - probably... Definitely. Or you will be..." Once more, she fussed about the beige corded string tote. She held up the carton of milk and then a container of yogurt, examining percentages, as if expecting these offerings to remedy the problem in the short term.
Jason half considered telling her she'd do well to down a glass or a spoonful herself, but he held his tongue. This was clearly about alleviating what she could, so as not to focus on the real problem.
"Underground to underground bunker...?" Jason stretched his arms behind his head leaning back onto the small couch in the hideout. "I can't help but consider this a vast improvement." The space was so very much like a studio. So it was practically palatial compared to his previous digs in the cemetery. He barely stifled a scoff as he contemplated yet another bitter realty. B couldn't be bothered to spring for a bloody crypt. It was probably confirmation of where he ranked. What did it matter? There was a revolving door of Robins anyway.
"So, I suppose... it can't be helped," she said somberly.
"Exactly. If you've been deep down enough, natural light becomes a cursory concern." It was meant to be an offhand remark, as he was sure she knew what lay underneath the earth's surface better than most. But Jason watched as the daughter of Trigon actually flinched. She was quivering slightly with her small shoulders starting to shake. Some part of this had to be beyond her, it was the only way for someone so powerful to seem so fragile.
Raven was the only one who could say with certainty that Jason Todd's coffin in Gotham Cemetery was empty.
The hardest part was supposed to be over, but neither of them really knew what was going to happen now.
Would he have good days and bad days? Or just all bad? What were the long-term after effects?
He could try to be proactive and take some preemptive actions. Perhaps he could borrow a leaflet from the shelf of one Raven Roth and start meditating to pinion the chaotic churn burgeoning inside him.
Steady the mind... You are neither a puppet nor a proponent of mania, or the voices inside...
He had a couple of chants he was mulling over. Raven knew the value of a good chant.
She also knew what it was like to have multiple forces pressing themselves upon her at any given time. Sometimes literally.
But the occasional moment in front of the crimson and gold strewn sky of dawn, brought her solace.
She'd told him that once, so he could believe it.
Maybe if he too could feel the sunlight, smell dewy grass, or hear the chirping of birds, it would make him feel less apart from the world. Or maybe he would just feel more strange and inhuman, like he was something indecent that didn't belong. And all the organic groceries and housewares in the world wouldn't be enough to rehabilitate the reanimated corpse of Jason Todd. Though Raven sure seemed willing to try.
Wait.
Did she really?
He sat up straight and craned his neck, not believing it. Among the health food items, Jason saw a flash of bright packaging. An orange tin of biscuits. He also spied a familiar looking paper carton. Well, well. Cigarettes.
Circumstances aside, wasn't Raven a do-gooder supreme, even among her fellow Titans? She didn't strike him as one to approve of cigarettes. They kill and all that. Though now she probably figured what was the harm? And he had to painfully agree.
In a state of delirium, he vaguely recalled mentioning something about a smoke. But how on earth did Raven find his favorite English biscuits? His weakness for Hobnobs was something he figured only Alfred knew about.
How did she always know?
Perhaps Raven had seen a small package on his place setting while visiting the manor and filed it away somewhere. In, but never out, she was Fort Knox. And like a fortress, one rarely ever knew what lay within her walls.
Hmm. A cigarette, black coffee and a biscuit for breakfast. Yes, the familiarity of it sounded comforting. Made the place feel downright homey. And suddenly Jason wanted her closer to him, to hold her, at the most. At the least, reach for her hand to squeeze it, if not to reassure her that she had done more than she could ever know.
"It's nice - the blanket... Wool, right?" He patted the soft blue throw resting over the back of the couch, another furnishing, courtesy of Raven. She pursed her lips, probably thinking he was being facetious again. "But, really. I appreciate this - and the food. Didn't I make that clear?"
"No, you didn't." She thumped the back of the couch, now hovering above Jason. "But, of course that would mean that nothing has changed."
"So..." A smirk spread onto his face, as he replayed the last fifteen minutes of their conversation. "That Vitamin D..." Raven blinked slowly, then rapidly, her expression no longer blank. "Being that you're a bit of a recluse, I always guessed that it's pretty difficult to come by... Is that by choice, or -"
"Raven?"
But the half-demon's body stood frozen like a statue. It was always so sudden and swift when it happened. Jason watched helplessly as the emotions arisen from her depths started to vanish themselves. The bloom of red left her face almost as quickly as it had come.
"Raven?"
It was utterly useless to even try. She was somewhere else now. On another plane - a private one - somewhere beyond this secret room to another. Raven was speaking with people he couldn't see and having conversations he couldn't hear. The severe line of her mouth softened and then curved over, as she bit her lip to stifle a tiny smile.
Well that was just great.
Currently, she was holding back a laugh at a joke that wasn't his. So, not people, a person. The only person it could be. And that man's timing was nothing if not spot on.
He stood up abruptly and -
Wait, was it even abrupt if no one noticed?
Who was to say?
But Jason wasn't going to sit around and wait for her to thaw. He figured he'd at least just pick up where she left off. He shot one more glance at Raven before he opened the empty fridge and filed in milk, eggs, and cheese. Huh. She'd gotten mild cheddar, not sharp.
Did anything at all get by her?
Of course, the fall of footsteps meant she was cooked. Defrosted, no longer in suspended animation. She glanced back and forth, calling out when she didn't see him.
"Jason... Jason?"
"Polo. It's not the manor. There's only one door and it's for the bathroom." That was harsher than he meant it to be. He stopped and sighed. "It was him, wasn't it?"
This was Raven, she didn't often lie, not even to spare feelings. "Yes. He... uh..." She paused for a while. Longer than was necessary. Five whole minutes went by. Was she conversing with him again? "Sorry... That was him. Dick hadn't seen me this morning and he seemed worried."
What did he somehow forget what Raven looked like?
Not likely.
Besides, didn't a mind meld render the need for that redundant? Or did theirs not work that way?
"Twice in twenty minutes, that's got to be serious."
"Well... Yes." She shrunk inwardly, holding herself tightly, amethyst orbs darted to the very corner of her eyes. It was the kind of shape someone twisted themselves into when prefacing a breach of something uncomfortable. "He wanted to make sure I was coming."
"Coming? To what - Birdy Book club?" Jason picked up another package. More cheese? Shredded and sliced in addition to the wedge. And Gods, was there crumbled in there too? He was perfectly capable of slicing or shredding or crumbling his own cheese. After all, he was well-versed in knife handling and had plenty of interesting shapes to carve things into.
Or had Raven removed all the sharp objects and replaced them with throw pillows?
"I told you." He shrugged. "You forgot? It's today." Then Raven's voice went low and quiet, as if she were about to speak about something improper. "It's the opening of the..." She swallowed. "Memorial today..."
The memorial.
His memorial.
Of course, he forgot, he hadn't wanted to think about it.
A can of tomatoes slid from his shaking palm and started to roll past his feet. The ghostly burn of verdant followed the steady path of the cylinder, until it bumped into the couch's leg, unable to go on unaided.
"Yeah..." he said after a while. When Raven didn't move, he nodded. "You should go..." He attempted what he believed to be an encouraging smile. Raven winced and Jason wished she wouldn't. He almost preferred pity. "You definitely have to go to that, don't you?"
"Well, yes I have to go. As a Titan and a friend of the family. I have to go and show my face." The half-demon avoided his gaze.
In spite everything that was thrown at her, Raven did the right thing. Why was it that he always seemed to say and do the wrong thing? He could feel a pull towards it now. Amplified. Not lulling like white noise. Loudly, it was rising, roaring in his ears. Burning, red noise.
All he could think about was why? Why this? Why today? And was he seriously unpacking groceries, when he should be in a grave?
What the hell was he doing?
When he shut the fridge, Raven was standing next to it, with her eyes glazed over, nodding at that which he couldn't see.
And she was talking to him again. In the middle of their conversation.
Perfect.
Raven was on it. She was taking care of everything. And everyone. This was best for everyone right now.
But that certainly didn't mean he had to be happy about it.
Raven would climb out of here once this was over. She could go out there and stand in the bright light - with him and their friends and family. Jason was stuck in a damned bunker and what did he get? A tin of biscuits and a pack of cigarettes. Concrete walls. Stale air. No sun. In his former life, Jason had never fully appreciated the sun or the air. He glared at the spotless, dustless, windowless room.
Was she really going to go off and fake it for the world?
And was he going to stay here underground, like he was dead - or as good as?
"Go, I'm all set here," Jason tried flatly. "You can go and put on a dress. Stand there at Dick's shoulder...let him hold your hand."
He had tried his hardest not to think about what his memorial would be like. And now, he couldn't help but picture it.
The specter of Jason Todd would hang silently above those in attendance. But since he wasn't dead, perhaps the only shadows would be cast by this latest slab of stone. Would it be a statue or a sculpture or an engraved tablet? He hoped this one would at least have a better inscription than the one in the cemetery.
Something like:
Jason Todd.
Never fully at rest in life or in death.
The war wages on.
Eternal.
A little noise ripped the image from him. Raven was staring at him with her eyes widened and shocked. She hadn't ever looked at him like that. Not even when she saw him covered in graveyard soil, suit torn to shreds, body broken. The empath faltered and took a clumsy step backward.
"Are you scared of me, Raven?" He felt worse than terrible. "Where is all that talk about not giving up and not letting go?"
"Gods. There's no doubt you're the same Jason. Still the same arrogant -" She clenched a fist. Was she contemplating shoving him? No. Ironically enough, he was too breakable.
"-ass with a selective filter, you mean?" Jason laughed, though the humorless sound of it was probably cruel. "That's crass of you, Raven. Don't they teach you not to speak ill of the dead in other dimensions? Better practice up on that custom before you step out of the town car."
"Stop it." She reached for him, grabbing the sleeve of his shirt. It was just a hair too big. Because there was a side effect that they could count on: atrophy. Notably, it was one of his least favorite. "It's not me you're mad at. But it is your day. So you can yell, or throw things, and...you can cry if you want to." Her eyes were brimming over with tears enough for the both of them.
He swallowed, wondering if it was too much, if she was taking on too much.
"Crying already?" Jason tried to smirk if not fall back into usual patterns, but he was finding it exceedingly difficult. He had never seen her cry, not even when she was brushing the dirt from his face. "Don't waste it all here. I know they're for me, but... I think you'll need to save some of those, for later."
"Yeah, I do." And then she laughed bitterly. Miserably.
She wiped her face on her sweater sleeve right as Jason felt a sharp impulse to brush them away for her. He ground his teeth. "You'll give 'em a good show - for me?"
"I won't have to, Jason." There was no need to glance at her to know the mask of Raven that everyone knew was back in place.
"Because... it won't be a show."

Fanfic
Monkey Prince
5 times Marcus hated superheroes and 1 time he didn’t (AO3) Marcus and Billy being friends. I love them. They’re best friends. There’s a bit of secret identity nonsense also.
In The Mythic Tradition Marcus muses on his childhood hero and his own heroics.
Are you. You know. Adopted? Marcus muses on being adopted.
Change! It’s the one where Marcus is trans. Like I know the issues around shapeshifting and trans stuff, but, like all trickster deities, all the stuff with Wukong and gender roles/gender presentation is quite thematically interesting so I do think it adds an angle that might not otherwise be there.
What We Learn In Chinese School Marcus is great friends with Billy. Monkey Prince hates Shazam. Sometimes the crossover gets a bit confusing.
The Smallest Details Marcus and Billy can rely on each other. They trust each other. They love each other. (Jumping on board this ship train before it leaves the station!)
Happy Year of the Tiger (AO3) Billy goes over to Marcus’s house for New Year’s.
Just Monkey Business Some codas about civilian life. Marcus & Billy, probably Marcus & his parents when they show up more. (ongoing)
To Honor A Debt My OC, Xanthippe Long (White Horse’s kid) follows Marcus around to try to settle the debt between their families. (ongoing)
Shazam | Captain Marvel
In the Museums of the Night (AO3) Tawny tells Billy what happened when he stayed at work past sunset.
Batman (various continuities)
Educational Overnight Crossover with Static Shock. Mostly animated Batman continuity (although largely backfilled from Batman Beyond), but I don’t think it super matters to the text of the thing. Static pretends to be Batman and has to face off against the Riddler. Also featuring Richie in hot pants (as Robin).
This Changes Nothing Extremely self-indulgent fic about Damian. Tim comes out and Damian freaks, but also it’s just fluff. Fluff and lots of graphic violence. Warning for graphic panic attack, suicidal ideation and self-harm, internalized homophobia, and externalized homophobia. But it is fluff I swear. Definitely the most popular fic I’ve ever written.
Scenes from Earth 420 Bits and pieces of a (loosely) Batfam fic I’m working on. None of this will probably make it into the final draft if I ever get there. It’s humor. Guess what kind, go on.
Coffee or Tea? HBO Titans, specifically Aqualad era. A barista watches our heroes, in both identities. (This is the fic where no one is named, not even Diego, the barista, whose perspective it’s from.)
On Loan from the Wayne Family Collection Ambiguous timeline and no particular canon, but may contradict current continuity. This is an entire fic based on my headcanon around the background of a specific panel of a random issue of Titans. Like that’s not necessary to understanding the fic, I just thought you would like to know. Bruce & Dick fluff, also featuring some of the rest of the Batfam and Titans.
Even A Broken Clock Tim panics when asked why he’s injured and tells Bernard that Bruce hits him. Bernard, as you may imagine, is very concerned about this. Timeline is generally ambiguous, but Tim and Bernard have been together for a while and both have their own apartments. Damian lives at home with Bruce. Jason is in the area but not completely reconciled with the batfamily. Dick is Nightwing, but frequently around. Babs is a cop and has been for a while. Clark Kent is the classic intrepid reporter. There’s a lot of in depth discussion of child abuse throughout this story, including sexual abuse. None of it is actually happening, but still watch out if it gets to you.
Lockdown Prompt: the Joker is broken up over Batman’s death and becomes a crimefighter in his memory. My version: but he can’t be normal about it.
The Baby An Earth 420 story. Humor. (Read: Crack.) What if Ivy’s baby was getting passed around like a football? (She’s fine, she didn’t even notice, she’s a baby.) There’s an implication of plot in the background but it’s not relevant to anything.
Good Girls Stay Alive HBO Titans continuity. After Donna Troy dies, she’s just done with things. Unfortunately, things are not done with her. Warning for suicidal ideation in the sense that she would rather stay dead.
Half Gay/Half Straight HBO Titans continuity. Tim discusses sexuality with Conner and then they kiss.
Batman fic: he was the best Yeah so probably a little sideways from what anyone was looking for, but it fit an idea that was percolating in my head for a while. Based on this post and all the fun people were having in the notes. Dick hallucinating Jason, mostly.
Harry Potter
Courage Hermione deals with racism. I always headcanoned Hermione as middle eastern, so I wanted to add something with that because I don’t see it a lot even when people intentionally make her nonwhite.
Terrible TMR POV character study
Don’t Call Me Nymphadora I wrote a fic about Tonks being nonbinary. This is effectively a prequel to Just Tonks, but they don’t have to be read together, I just felt like a lot of people missed what I was trying to say about Tonks, so I wanted to write something that described her feelings a little better.
Five Degrees West Bellatrix character study. evil but make it feminist
Summary Judgement Sirius-centric fic where he realizes that maybe the criminal justice system that traps people in a cement block with soul sucking demons eating all their happiness until they go insane is not the best idea. Azkaban times. tw for police violence, state violence, human rights abuses, and graphic murder
on house elves a scene from no particular fic about how elves are fae and subject to the same rules you would typically expect
MCU
a true gentleman this is probably technically a ficlet. shuri x bucky. humor
Just a Perfectly Normal Rabbit WandaVision. Our Awesome Trio finds Senor Scratchy in the aftermath of the show.
Another Loki Loki. Sylvie works in a coffeeshop and is in love with Loki. No it’s not fucking straight wlnb ships aren’t straight asshole
it’s a love story baby just say yes Loki/Legends of Tomorrow crossover. I ship Casey and Gary so sue me. there is more planned for this but like. when I get around to it
Brain Freeze Loki. B-15/C-20. a set of vignettes. canon compliant because C-20′s memory was actually about B-15 for sure
You’re gonna go far, kid Loki. Ravonna POV (1st) talking to/about Sylvie. originally a songfic but I tossed the song part because I hate lyrics. nonlinear. probably the most artsy fic I’ve written to date. it’s awesome but also made up exclusively of things people do not like in their fanfic
Auntie Yelena Saves Christmas Hawkeye. A bit of humor and fluff about Yelena showing up for Christmas at the Bartons’. Also she kisses Kate.
A dog might have got blipped! NOT CLICKBAIT In the movie, Klev tells you that he won’t drive a bus anymore. In this fic, he tells you why.
Spider-man: No Such Thing As Responsibility Prompt. What if Spider-man was a villain?
Static Shock
No Flams Prepz Hotstreak talks to a (presumably court mandated) therapist.
Worry Static’s dad worries about the kids in his life.
Everybody Makes Mistakes Character study on Virgil, pilot centric. (Contains guns.)
Protest Static meets Magneto. The timeline on this is obviously confusing af, but like, imagine it’s during the corresponding irl point of any of the major ups of BLM protests, within Static’s timeline somewhere after he’s got the hang of heroing but before he’s really used to it, and in Magneto’s timeline, somewhere during the initial rise of the Brotherhood. This was just an idea that got stuck in my head and that’s about it.
Attraction Virgil/Richie. Just an excuse to write puns.
Marathon Static & Rubberband Man. Fluff
Frieda Character study. Also ruminating on bullying and sexual harassment. (It’s about the gun violence episode, if that gets to you.)
Educational Overnight Crossover with Batman. Mostly animated Batman continuity (although largely backfilled from Batman Beyond), but I don’t think it super matters to the text of the thing. Static pretends to be Batman and has to face off against the Riddler. Also featuring Richie in hot pants (as Robin).
Shadowhunters
Parabatai A lot of people were invested in the part where Jace could tell that Alec boned. Just my take on the thing. There’s sex in this one. Probably my most popular fic to date.
Love Will Tear Us Apart Magnus blames himself about Raphael drinking Izzy’s blood. So tbh I don’t actually remember this fic and I don’t think anyone liked it? I will have to read it over at some point and see what it is.
A Fish Without a Bicycle This is a companion piece to Parabatai; going along with the Parabatai bond being a sort of metaphor for an erotic relationship, it posits Izzy as aspec and explores that a little.
Answers Another companion piece. Just a lot about Alec exploring his sexuality and trying to figure stuff out.
Forever Home Magnus being A Dad, to cats and other magical creatures.
Charmed
Better Together I was trying to meld the old and new canons into something I liked better. I do still have ideas for this but it would be a lot of work going back into it and figuring out what the hell I was doing. Incomplete. Semi-permanent hiatus.
etc.
untitled hunger games fic So I got in my head what if what happens in the Capitol is just everyone and the Hunger Games are literally just like. Games. Anyway it’s meant to be humorous, but I don’t know if my ideas about the setting actually came through. Hunger Games fans will probably not enjoy this.
American Gods/Sookie Stackhouse: Small Town Mentality A little character study about Shadow interacting with Sookie. This was when I was rereading American Gods, and I was like. You know, these books have similar vibes and similar canons. Timeline wise it’s set about halfway through American Gods and a few years before the first Sookie book. (The title is about not-my-business isolationism, not racial violence.)
untitled Beauty and the Beast fic From the perspective of LeFou waxing poetic about Gaston.
Queer as Folk: Not Always in the Same Way Hunter being bi
Animorphs: Restrained A snippet from Cassie’s POV. Violent death tw
Star Wars: A Reylo Story just a little jokefic making fun of anti-reylos
Star Wars: Where There’s Life There’s Hope I started watching Clone Wars and I was real sad about how terrible they are to the droids so I wrote something depressing. Enjoy!
TAZ: Balance: Gift of the Magpie Just a little fluff about the twins doing a shoplifting.
Good Omens: One of Yours what if Crowley was responsible for BoJo???
Rick and Morty: Animorty Cricksing: New Pants script format fic that’s about the family playing animal crossing. it was written for a prompt for a bingo but I abandoned that bingo
Legends of Tomorrow: Zari & Zari Inspired by the scene where Zari says she updated the look of the Totem. What if she wanted to update even more looks?
Arrow: Love Like a Sister’s Laurel considers her feelings on Ollie, and Nyssa, and playing fair.

Keeping Time Part 3 (Tim Drake x Reader)
Schninner: So, uh… It’s been about 3 years, good of time as any to get part three out! Sorry for such the long wait, but I hope it’s worth it! More parts to come, When? Only the great Squirtle in the sky knows.
(Reader is a girl)
Warnings: The angst; descriptions of torture, and *gasp* swearing! Also, I didn’t edit this, so there are probably grammatical errors.
Word Count: 1247
Tagging: I think people wanted to be tagged when I posted this? But again, it’s been like, 3 years, Sorry!
Part 1 * Part 2
Master List
***Forgot how to do the line thing***
Tim’s POV
Tim hardly made it through his apartment window before he collapsed on the ground in exhaustion. It had taken the Titans and him nearly 2 weeks to finally finish off and subdue the HIVE, and in that time his diet consisted of Coffee, Monster energy drinks, and Rockstars. Needless to say, he hardly slept at all. Groaning, he managed to sit up and take off his wings along with his armor and mask.
“Bedtime,” he muttered shakily getting to his feet, only to collapse once more into his bed.
He lay there, closed eyed, taking in the environment around him. It was quiet, unnaturally so, which only happened if—
He peeled his eyes open, directing his gaze towards his left wrist; only a pale outline on his hand where his watch once was. Which would explain the lack of noise.
“Shit,” he groaned, forcing himself to sit up.
How long had it been since she had taken it? A day? 3 days? A week? He had been so busy with HIVE and the Titans, he hadn’t notice.
“She’s going to be so pissed at me,” he sighed while trying to get up. He glanced at his pillow however and felt his eyelids sag.
“In the morning,” he muttered, letting his body go limp and fall onto the mattress below him. She would be pissed at him for not noticing sooner, probably pissed about his lack of attention the past several days, but he would deal with the repercussions when wasn’t as tired. I mean, what’s the harm in just waiting one more day.
                                                            ******
Your POV
Bathroom breaks were a newer commodity to your captive situation.
In the first day of captivity, you had managed to restrain yourself, not wanting to give Zsasz the satisfaction of humiliating you. But then the Second day rolled around with no sign of rescue, you held out for a couple more hours, but it wasn’t long before you relieved yourself in your sleep, waking up to your leather bottoms to be drenched in urine. It happened again on the third day, and by the 4th, Zsasz had been so disgusted with the stench, that he allowed for 1 escorted bathroom break a day. Dealing with the stench of urine by thoroughly dowsing you with freezing water until you were waterlogged, and half drowned.
Through these escorted breaks you began to realize a few things about your captivity. Your “cell” was simply an old, quite possibly sound proofed, office. The building he had you captive in was, from what you could see, an old warehouse that had been abandoned for what seemed to be decades. The bathroom itself had been modified by him to assure you couldn’t find any means of weapon or tools to escape. He had removed almost all stall doors, along with most of the toilets, save for one at the far corner of the room. The handicapped stall wall had a bar attached to it, so he had removed the door to remove the element of secrecy and privacy.
The routine was simply this, Zsasz would come at around 4 AM Each day, he would figure out what hell he would put you through today, get the materials ready, then continue to torture you attempting to break you, turning you against Batman and the rest of the family. Once he became bored, or you passed out, he would put his tools away for the night escort your broken and bleeding body to the bathroom, handcuff you to that blasted railing, then turn around so you could do your business.
Tonight, was no different.
It was the 6th day of captivity.
You glanced at the watch on your wrist, the only solace to this insanity, the only thing reminding you of that they were your friends, your family. It reminded you of the love you had for him.
Tick tock, Tick Tock
4:15 AM, he was late.
Fantasies began to appear inside your mind, and you run with them.
“What day was it? Tuesday? Maybe it was Friday? Babs and Damien might be on patrol, or it would be Tim and Dick, hard to remember. They would be searching for you, they saw Zsasz and new something was wrong, so they followed him, followed him until he reached the warehouse where they would intercept him and defeat them, as they always do. Any minute, they are going to burst through the door, and find me, then this—this nightmare, will be over.”
But no sooner had you envisioned your rescue did you hear the main doors to the warehouse opening, heavy footsteps growing louder as Zsasz sings, his favorite song of his own creation, Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat.
The door to the small room you’re bound to bursts opened as the pale man enters, a bag slung around his neck with a wide grin on his face.
You scowl at him, refusing to show any signs of fear, your ears trained on the Tick tock of the watch around your wrist.
“Got a little present for your dear.” He turned away from you, slipping the bag off his scarred shoulders, “Figured it could bring some excitement back into our little daily visits, hmm?”
He rummaged through the bag, then turned back around to reveal a power tool. Your stomach sinking at your sudden epiphany of what it is.
You must have let your emotions slip through, because Zsasz seemed even more excited upon looking at you. He demonstrated firing two nails across the room. You winced slightly as you heard them colliding with the wall to your right.
“I’m not going to lie,” He said stepping closer to you with the nail gun in hand, “This is going to hurt.”
                                                            …
You passed out, you don’t know how long, but Zsasz had half carried half dragged your body to the bathroom. You had regained the rest of your consciousness halfway to the bathroom. Each step sent wave after wave of pain throughout your body, he had fired that gun several times into your right leg, fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint) he knew exactly where to shoot without making it lethal.
Once you were in the half assembles stall, Zsasz proceeded to handcuff you to the railing and turn around, talking the whole time about how you had gotten blood on his new pants. As he spoke, you looked down at the tattered remains of your pants. He had thrashed, stabbed, and now nailed them so many times. As carefully as you could, you pried the article of clothing off your body, letting it drop down to your ankles. You stifled a whimper as you looked at the new injuries in your thigh. Cursing silently as the heads of the nails contrasted greatly against your mutilated bloody flesh.
“Nails!”
Excitement raced through your body; with your free hand you shakily placed your fingers on the rim the nails head. A bolt of pain shot through you, and you choked down a gasp.
“No, I need to do this.”
You grit your teeth, then pulled, ripping the nail out with you. You let out a small cry, thankfully, Zsasz was to absorbed in his complaining to pay attention to it. You held the bloodied nail out in front of your face. A grim smile had made its way to your lips as you listened to the ticking of your watch.
“Soon.”
Tick tock, tick tock—
“I’ll be home soon.”

Damian Wayne/ Robin X Reader- Murder Kitten
After this post, there will only be 2 requests left!! Yay!!!!!  Also, this was requested by @abigailredgrave, who requests some pretty awesome stuff!!! I hope you guys enjoy this and have a nice day!!!!  If I am counting this right, THIS IS MY ONE HUNDREDTH FANFIC!!!! YYYAAYYY!!!
Warning: Swearing
Gotham was full of geniuses, but some of them were psychotic.  Psychologists say genius is related to mental illness, hell, even being crazy, but that’s why you keep it to yourself.  Most intelligent people either were like that or had disabilities.  The Riddler was an excellent example, but that would be too simple.  It bugged you to know that people don’t understand what’s underneath the super villain and superhero label slapped onto their foreheads, to not understand what their motivations were and what caused them to resort to crime.  Mister Freeze, or Doctor Victor Fries, resorted to crime to save his wife from an incurable disease.  You understood why his efforts were stopped by heroes like Batman.  He harmed innocent people, and that was not what society allowed.  Even if the people he harmed were corrupt, their influence would allow them to get away with almost anything.  Poison Ivy, or Pamela Isley, was a botanist who took Eco-terrorism too seriously.  You also agreed that something should be done to protect the Earth and the life it supported, but not as much as she did.  Most of the people labeled ‘Villains’ were geniuses, but they just used their brains the wrong way.
Luckily for you, you weren’t like them at all.  Sure, maybe you agreed with their ideas, but the less extreme versions.  You agreed that the human race needed to stop harming the planet, but not by human extinction.  Humans are capable of using renewable energy to support their electronic needs, but of course they won’t do it.  Cures could be made if scientists would focus on the diseases rather than focusing on biological warfare and creating new heroes.  Humans would be a greater race if they would band together and stop the fighting, but you knew that it would take a long time for that to happen.  People want to have a Utopia where everything would work out, there would be no war, and everyone would be equal, but there are some who are the complete opposite.  There are people who want the be the superior race with all of the power, who think their self-interests are more important than the lives of others.  The Earth’s past clearly displays that there will always be someone who does not see others as their equals, including the pompous asshats who enjoy to pester and bully you whenever you step foot on Gotham Academy’s grounds.
It’s not like your intelligence went unnoticed in the halls of Gotham Academy.  You spent less than half of the day at the Academy taking classes, and the rest at Gotham University.  Your teachers were surprised to see you, a 16 year-old, have a higher IQ than them.  After that, you were taking classes that college students could barely understand.  Out of all of the classes you took, Psychology and Criminology were your favorites.  It was fascinating to learn what the human mind was capable of, and you used that to your advantage. It was annoying that the Academy still required you to take electives, but you only had to take them this year, and after that you’d be able to go to college with a full ride.  It was easier said than done, but that didn’t mean you had to go through it alone.  Most of the students thought you were insane, but you simply understood the world more than them.  Even your humor was based upon it, but not everyone appreciated it nor understood it.  You based most of your jokes on the superheroes and super villains of the world, and knew the identities of most of them.
“Okay, class, today is your final grade for the year,” Mrs. Merz stated calmly.  “You are going to finish making your improved cake recipes for the baking competition.  Since the Seniors are not here, you’ll be a bit understaffed, but since you prepared your dry ingredients yesterday, you’ll have plenty of time to bake your cakes.”
Turning over to your partner, Damian Wayne, you asked, “Did you bring the decorations?”
“TT.  Of course I brought them,” Damian answered, gesturing to the bag near his feet.  “I still do not understand why we decided on the ‘Willy Wonka’ theme for this cake.”
You rolled your eyes and tied the apron around your waist, “This is supposed to be dessert, and Willy Wonka specializes in desserts.  Most of the imbeciles in this class are doing a superhero theme or something idiotic like the beach theme Tyler and his posse are making.”
Damian scowled and put his apron on, “I do detest them.”
“Yes, and their cake has more capsaicin in it than Batman’s smoke bombs,” you said and placed your improved recipe on the counter.  “They did not even test their recipe out at home.”
Damian smirked, “Not like you did.”
You scoffed, “Unlike them, I actually enjoy this class and plan on getting good grades.”
“Also, they do not have your cunning intelligence and wonderful personality,” Damian inputted while placing the dry ingredients into a bowl.  “They have no respect for anyone but themselves, maybe the occasional harlot that they have relations with, but mostly themselves.”
“I agree with that,” you said while looking at the recipe and pulling out more bowls and measuring cups.  “I’m going to go get the liquid ingredients.  While I do this, can you prepare the dry ingredients for the frosting?”
“Of course I can.”
————————————
“Ow!” you shouted, placing your burnt finger under cold water.  “That’s hotter than Superman’s heat vision.”
“How would you know that?” Damian asked, stirring the raspberry frosting.
“Have you ever heard the wonders of over exaggeration?” you asked, still running the cold water on your finger.  “Technically, if I had a piece of debris that Superman cut with his heat vision, I could tell how many degrees it would be.”
“You are full of many surprises, (Y/L/N),” Damian said and placed the bowl on the counter.  “Do you want me to take the cake out of the oven?  I think I can do it without burning myself.”
“I didn’t know the oven mitt was wet,” you muttered and gave him the other mitt, which was dry.
“Of course you didn’t,” Damian said and lifted the chocolate cake out of the oven.
You rolled your eyes and shut the faucet off when the pain in your finger died down, “Everyone makes mistakes, so stop bickering with me and criticize everyone’s cakes as ours cools off.”
Damian rolled his eyes and took the mitt off, tossing it onto the counter, “Fine.”
———————
“Their cake is greener than Poison Ivy,” you said while making a disgusted face.  “I did not see them add any green food coloring either.”
“Tyler’s cake is supposed to be grape, but it’s bluer than Mr. Freeze’s ass,” you stated, shuddering at the thought.  “Do you think his skin is baby blue or icy blue?”
“Why is this relevant?” Damian asked, poking at the cake to see if it was cool enough to start decorating.
You shrugged, “You know that my humor is mostly based on superheroes and supervillains, so answer the question already.”
“I believe it would be lighter than Icy Blue,” Damian admitted.  “The cake is ready.”
————————
“Damian, I need you to do something for me.”
Damian stopped sparring with Dick, looking over to his father with confusion, “What is it?”
“Come over to the Bat Computer and I will show you,” Bruce said, turning his chair around.
Dick gave Damian a puzzled look before following him over to the Bat Computer, frowning when he saw your photos on the screen.
“Why do you have (Y/N) on the screen, Bruce?” Dick asked with a puzzled expression.  “I’ve seen her around the college and the only terrible thing about her is her corny superhero jokes.”
Bruce rose a brow, clicking on a video file attached to your own file. “You’ve got Teen Titans, Young Justice, and the Justice League. Whats next? Toddlers of titanium?”
“What do you call an actress whose dress goes up in flames? Starfire.”
“I’m gonna wonder woman spin my way out of this.”
“I bet Aquaman hates Spongebob.”
“Robin’s mask literally only covers a fourth of his face, how has nobody recognized him yet! At least batman covers half of his!“
“Who the hell hides themselves behind a pair of glasses and a bitch curl-ooohh..”
“That pair of pants has more pockets than Batman’s utility belt.”
The last video showed you messing around with your glasses, taking them on and off saying: "Look I’m Superman! Wait, now I’m not!”
By the end of the clip, Dick was laughing while holding his stomach, which made Bruce give him an unamused expression.  Damian read over your file and noticed that you went to the same school he did, but you go to Gotham University for most of your classes.
“She obviously knows Clark’s identity,” Bruce stated, returning his attention to the screen, “and has a high IQ.  Damian, I want to see how much she knows, and if she’ll be a threat or not.”
“Oh, come on, Bruce!” Dick said, throwing his arms up into the air.  “(Y/N) might know our secret identities, but do you realize who you’re talking about?”
“Yes I do,” Bruce responded, “which is why I think Damian would be the perfect person to befriend her, and find out if she can be trusted.”
“I can handle it,” Damian stated.  “It is common knowledge that (Y/L/N) does not have any friends at the school, and she will be hesitant, but I’m sure I will figure something out.”
“Good, because our identities are at risk.”
———————–
“So, Sherlock, are you gonna do it or what?!?!” Tyler shouted, waving his homework in front of your face.  “Or do I have to make you do it?!”
“You know, when you call me Sherlock, you’re admitting that I am smarter than you,” you smirked, not even flinching when his fist met the locker to the left of your face.
“Shut it, Watson!! If you’re not gonna do it, I’m going to kick the shit out of you, you insane freak!” he threatened.
You scoffed, “'If you’re going to insult me stick to one character per show.”
“That’s it!!” Tyler shouted, raising his fist.
Just as it was going to meet your face, Tyler was pulled away from you and thrown onto the ground.  You looked over to find Damian glaring at Tyler.
“If you ever touch her again, I swear I will-”
“Okay, Murder Kitten, I think we should get to class before we’re late,” you interrupted, grasping Damian’s hand before he murdered Tyler.
“TT, I wasn’t going to murder him,” Damian grumbled.
“Judging by your posture and feral look in your eyes, that’s a lie.”
