What motivates you to write?

My characters are living rent-free in my head and when they get too loud and demand their stories have to be told I oblige and put pen to paper (or fingers on the keyboard for that matter). My poetry is just a form of self-therapy and suffices to make sense of my feelings and thoughts.

It's difficult to find a writing snippet that makes sense outside the context of a story or poem, but here is one. No English translation would do it justice, so I hope my German readers enjoy reading it. Also here is the full snippet written from the pov of my phoenix oc.

Die Zeit zieht an mir vorbei, sie berührt mich nur selten, viel zu oft vergesse ich mich. Zeit verliert an Bedeutung, wenn man schon so viele Leben gelebt hat wie ich. Zeit ist ein Konstrukt für die Sterblichen, es schafft Ordnung in einem Universum voller Chaos. Doch letztendlich ist ein Leben so kurz im Vergleich zu dem Baum des Lebens, so bedeutungslos wie ein Sandkorn im Wind, nur ein Wimpernschlag in der Geschichte der Welt. Man werfe mir Verdrossenheit vor und man möge Recht behalten, doch nur wenige können nachvollziehen, wie es ist, solange zu leben. Nur wenige fühlen meinen Schmerz, denn sie sterben nur einen kleinen Tod. Der Tod hat mich schon unzählige Male in die Arme genommen, hat mich vergessen lassen, wo ein Leben beginnt und ein anderes endet.

What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

Writing dialogue comes naturally because I can weave in my weird sense of humour. It's so much fun to write my characters talking to each other! Also, I love making up new words, word plays and metaphors, especially in German.

What do you enjoy most about the Writeblr community?

I love the writeblr community for the lovely feedback and ongoing inspiration! Writing can be quite a lonely hobby, so joining writeblr opened my eyes for how wonderful it is to share my stories with others and be inspired by their stories. I am very thankful for my writing family @writeblrcafe which is a safe space for writers that I co-founded. My favourite writeblr activity is collaborations! I'm always up for merging my writing style with others and create something beautiful together!

A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)

I love using Bibisco! I'm writing my wip Drachenbrut in it. I can highly recommend this novel software, it has a timeline, character profiles with questions for better character development, character relationship diagrams, notes, chapters, scenes, location and object pages, an analysis tool for everything, statistics about your writing progress and it exports your book document in pdf, docx and epub files.

A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)

My magic system is that different fantasy species have different kinds of magic. In short, there is intuitive magic, chaos magic, elemental magic, spell casting, potion making and everyday magic.

What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?

The world needs to hear your stories, so write them. And even if only one person reads your story and gains a new perspective, it was worth writing it, because you have changed the life of someone with your words, and what's more powerful than that?

I came up with an alien species that has been on my mind for a while...

(more information below the cut if your interested)

I was talking on Discord with one of my friends about the alien species and she helped me build more on them... Because I originally created them to tell the story of the last two (or just of two of them because a few are spread across the cosmos...)

She even built a variant of her own to be the ones to destroy their sister planet...

This is Abdo (Blue and yellow) and Cato (Red and Purple)...

Abdo stands 6 blocks tall and Cato stands 4 blocks tall.

They have 4 arms and two legs. A somewhat small tail and two sets of ears. They have fur, but it is more predominantly on their head and tail tip.

Think of their species society it's like a fandom on the internet: most are peaceful but they are highly advanced with laws that would severely punished those who are negative (ie: banishment or execution depending on the severity) like trolls or o-phile etc... Gender was no problem and most where peaceful...

Abdo had found out that his home planet was going to be destroyed and begged for a few to follow him to safety, even to evacuate the planet... But the high council would not listen. He then took a scientist hostage and escaped the planet's destruction. Only after to find out that Cato was also a male...

Luckily Cato knew a way around this... They would have to merge themselves with a different species DNA to keep the species DNA from disappearing completely... And one of them would have to change gender.

After playing a best 2 out of 3 game session, Abdo won and Cato accepted his fate of changing gender.

As soon as they reach the closest planet (what ever you call the Minecraft planet), they find two deceased locals to infuse with...

Abdo fuses himself with a unknown male Pillager. Shrinking down to 3 blocks tall but still has his perky upbeat attitude from before.

Cato fused with an unknown female Villager. Now identifying as a female, Cato is still a nervous bundle of fur who overthinks everything.

This is an open species so if you want to create your own OC from the original species or the Villager/Illager fusion I would love to see it... Just please credit me when you use the base or the species...

Abdo and Cato are my OCs but you can use their base to make your own... I don't care if they have the same color pattern (like I can actually control whoever uses my base or draws the species in their own style 🤣 besides I don't feel like charging people to use it. It just don't sit right with me, that's why it's an open species and free to use~)

For now I'm calling them raptoids because I can't remember the species name me and my friend had come up with for them (I'm sure they wrote it down somewhere so I'll get the name from them later and update this post with it).

They can be any gender, have any sort of pattern on in their fur, you can give them the scars, you can make them fluffy, muscly, skinny, fat etc... That's all up to you~

They must have 4 arms, 2 legs, 2 pairs of ears, a somewhat small tail, and nose is closer to the eyes with a long snout. They have claws that do not retract in their base form. (Fused form develops retractable claws unless original species has claws out constantly)

Believe it or not the tails actually do serve a very personal purpose: when in close proximity with a loved one their tails wrapped together in a way as if you're holding hands. It's mostly meant for a spouse but it can be done in a platonic way between close family members... This is usually done in times of great stress, fear, or for comfort (or in the throes of passion between spouses)...

(The Villager/Illager bases purposely in this image do not have eyebrows or if you decide the species infuses with one or the other... But the species fusion is not limited to villager/illager mobs... You can infuse them with other mobs, I just only have this base form at the moment but you can create a fusion using these as slight schematics as to what features they would gain infused with the raptoid species)

What is a Bestialhuman?

You probably have seen this word in the student's profiles. Now I must make clear this is a hc for my dorm soley this doesn't mean you or anyone has to take this hc seriously. You don't have to and seeing my ocs as the same species type as the Savanaclaw boys that's fine. Never take my hcs seriously never think you got to use my hcs. Please. 

I am fine if you do use say this hc for your own ocs that fit this and idk credit back to here so it's not misunderstood from my hc. You're free to make your own hc using this term i can't own it just don't twist my hc all i ask.

The HC ~ Bestialhumans

It's pretty obvious my ocs in here all have some unique features that are definitely not something you've seen in the Twst game but this is just a me thing I feel may have been hinted to in the manga but probably not.

A Bestialhuman is a uncommonish semi-complex twst species beasthuman with more beast features then commonly seen. They are slowly becoming more common.

Features:

All the features a normal Beasthuman has of the beast they are. (Ears,Tail,Horns)

Additional features that are uncommon to the above. (Waist,Pelvic area,Legs,Feet,and sometimes Unique Chest areas of Feminine Bestialhumans)

They usually grow or have more Hair/Fur

Heights of Bestialhumans are usually 7ft or higher due to legs but short Bestialhuman do exist aswell.

There's sexual dimorphism in bestialhumans carried over from the beasts they are yet it can vary.

Bestialhumans act slighty more instinctual and can be a bit more feral or act exactly like the beast they are mixed with human traits but more overly beast traited.

They tend to be made fun of or shunned by their families,friends,or community due to not understanding them.

They often are naturally gifted with the ability to speak the language of their beast and related species of said beast.

Beasts/Animals naturally feel Bestialhumans are nearly like them so friendships/bonds are easier to form.

Their lifespan extends past beasthumans and is hard to determine due to vast beast/animal varieties. Oldest living one documented is a turtle Bestialhuman man who is 500ish years old but this may be cause turtles live so long already and isn't the best ref to their lifespan.

Ears are more closer to horns as deers have then in a human position

Waist,Pelvic area,Legs,Feet all are of deer features not human

Hair grows very long regardless of him cutting it

Some beasts/animals naturally approach him as though he is an actual deer and befriend as such. Cats seem to be under this as they just naturally gravitate to him.

Damián has a tendency to need to do deer behaviors as he will headbutt other bucks playfully and yes has a point where the deer mating season affects him

He can naturally sleep outside,sleep standing up,survive eating big meal one day then go about 5 without eating again yet needs water daily

He also can make deer sounds effortlessly but might attract does who as mentioned before do not see him as a half human one bit

He can not or has difficulty recalling his family and age. Only that he lived in the Canterlita Wilds and vaguely his grandmother who shared his Bestialhumanness. Sable says the animals in the Canterlita Wilds have known Damián for a long time way longer then Sable has and obviously he was living in the wilderness naturally like a deer.

I hope this explains well this hc that you see within this dorm. There's obviously more lore and stuff I could add but I feel it's unnecessary yet if you have any questions you can ask me anything.

unique magic: "let's pretend!" angel can change the world in any way they can, they can change the color of any object, they can change their appearance or appearance of other person, they can change the weather, etc. simple actions like the ones mentioned don't require a lot of magic, but the more difficult and specific ones make angel accumulate A LOT of blot and they can overblot almost immediately. what's interesting is that angel has already overblotted before, but keeps using their unique magic way too often.

dislikes: boring stories, rules

personality: angel is.. a very interesting person. they became a dorm leader right when they started attending rsa, but after a few months passed, they had to leave the school and go back to their homeland for some time. but now they're back and they're ready to rule merveishire and be the best leader that the students could imagine! they're very sociable, talkative and supportive, people never see angel without a smile on their face. in fact, they are so kind that most students call them by their nickname, "angel", rather than by their actual name. angel is very chaotic, loud and cheerful, you will never get bored with them. however, there is also a secret side to them: angel really is a very supportive person who tries their best to help others, but they tend to use.. not the best methods to help those people. sometimes angel actually manages to make those people's situations worse. do they really have bad intentions or are they just bad at helping people? nobody knows. but angel will use any methods to achieve their goals and to help their dorm members. this is why angel's dorm doesn't have any rules, they want the dorm members to feel free and do whatever they want to do.

notable relationships:

angel and bunny were close friends since childhood and when angel had to leave rsa for some time, they made bunny a temporary dorm leader, which was to be expected, because bunny is merveishire vice dorm leader. angel likes bunny a lot and trusts her. however, angel is aware that bunny isn't this shy and polite girl that she pretends to be and they try to help bunny with her issues. it.. doesn't really go as planned, because angel is the reason why bunny is having all those problems in the first place. bunny does treasure her friendship with angel, but she really wants to let it go and forget about it, because she's too tired of angel's strange antics.

hayden was another childhood friend of angel's and he also was friends with bunny. angel liked hayden a lot and they really wanted to help him, they knew about his family and everything that he's going through on a daily basis, so they tried to be one of the few good things he had in his life. they always tried to make him laugh with their jokes, they baked cookies for him and that horse plushie that was so precious to him was a gift from them. however, angel also encouraged hayden's god complex, they said that he's better than all of his family members and he should be proud of it. hayden also learned some manipulation techniques not only from his family, but also from angel. and hayden was the first person to give them this nickname.

angel and chenya are pretty close, they love to tease each other all the time and they love to act surprised when they totally expected the other to prank or scare them. chenya missed angel while they were gone and it's also possible that he's the only student who knows why they had to leave.

angel really wants to be friends with riddle, meanwhile the red-haired boy tries to avoid them as much as he can. he's terrified of angel and finds them way too irresponsible and noisy. he can't understand their logic and way of thinking at all, but he wasn't surprised when he found out that angel and chenya get along really well. riddle does respect angel for being a dorm leader though, especially at a school like rsa. some people think he actually wants to be friends with angel, because he was very worried when he heard that angel left rsa for a long time.

angel is very supportive of allen and encourages his "yandere" behavior, saying that it's normal to get way too obsessed with someone you love. they also read his fanfiction and love it, they even mentioned that they know a person who's a big fan of allen's work (and it's not just them!). angel often worried about allen's health and always asks if he's cold or if he needs something warm. when allen asked why they care about him so much, they smiled and said that they knew a very sick person in the past and they couldn't help them, so they don't want to make the same mistake again.

angel wants to become closer with jay and keeps following him around, finding him to be a very interesting individual. jay prefers to avoid angel, like riddle, because he has one weird friend and he's fine with that, he doesn't need another one. jay also has a feeling that angel is trying to become friends with him only because they need a favor from him..

fun facts:

angel has a cat and her name is dia, she's a reference to alice's cat dinah.

hayden had a crush on angel when he was little and he was SO SOFT for them, he claims that he's over it now and he just thinks of them as a friend.. but does he?

angel's parents are casino owners, so angel knows a lot about all kinds of card games and they can play some too, but they instead prefer to either be the dealer or watch people play.

angel's older sister is based on alice's older sister from the book and the cartoon.

angel's voice can change easily, it can either sound soft and feminine or deep and masculine. they also change their pronouns all the time, going from "watashi" to "boku" to "ore", etc.

angel's unique magic name is a reference to alice's "favorite phrase" from "through the looking glass" book.

angel has overblotted during the time they weren't attending rsa and bunny and hayden don't know about it.. yet.

Claire (OC)

1. This character is heavily inspired and borrows a lot of aspects from Claire from the indie animation and episode (The Summoning). I take zero credit in terms of facial design and origins of the character. But I’m going so off the rails that I’m either in AU territory or actual OC territory, so I’m just gonna go with that and not claim I’m any sort of canon. As I’m going to mostly just: use her name, use her facial design as a faceclaim. Then personality somewhat borrowed and a different direction, along with direction for powers and intent along with body-type redesign to be more fitting for what I have in mind. This is mostly paying homage to its creator with keeping certain things or acknowledging the similarities. I’m being transparent in that as I want a different direction with her.

2. This character will have a static power scaling but can raise if need be as she’s mostly intended to be a reoccurring villain that’s more fantasy-based that I enjoy, but also manageable and can be killed as needed. That or to give more of my friends or rpers who like evil characters that they want to be friends/lovers/family with using their characters I guess that leans way more heavily toward the evil side.

3. Other than that: if eye horror such as red veins in eyeballs or changing eyes bothers you? Then block her tag below. She will not be experiencing eye gore unless in certain rps which will be tagged in my generic tag system.

4. If Demons bother you? Then honestly, what are you doing here to begin with? Just unfollow, I don’t care to tag it other than using her tag. I’m religious and it doesn’t bother me. I’m also not making her a witch. Mostly to avoid further demonizing the whole concept of Wiccans being associated with Evil or whatever.

5. While she uses forms of powers and spells, she doesn’t actually use arcane magic or any form of it. She uses ritual spells and requires supernatural components that can range from: undead, living or even demon parts or other supernatural beings. She may as well be a Supernatural Biologist that augments and changes herself or creates undead minions or subjugates demons/creates a demon or some kind of abomination. Then any spells involve either ritual spells or curses which is her primary form of powers to hamper foes to either capture them or weaken them for her to easily deal with using her minions or by mauling them. Demonic and Necrotic Energy User is probably the best way to describe her powers.

6. I do this mostly bc there’s no actual canon and I’ve been wanting to make an OC I’d like on the regular to use for a while now. I liked the faceclaim, saw the facial design from a while back and just kind of made the next logical step in mind: well what I was going to do is basically right there, so why not?

7. I’m willing to have any Edgars that may ever pop up to be involved with my Claire if they want to.

8. Her species is based on her origins of being apparently a wood elf, though paying homage to the fact fans thought she was a cat. I will also be trying to keep the element of weirdness of the themes that surround the character’s origins, so expect that but feel free to request a more hard DnD fantasy-coded story line that can still be fun or weird. I will not be changing my OC’s design however so that might be pretty jarring in a medieval setting.

Do I want them to die: She can die if need be, just be sure to tell me so we can plot it out. Will I have/get icons: I have a lot. Her faceclaim is pretty expressive. Tag: elfen homunculus Age: She’s around twenty or so in terms of the species she’s modeled off, but she’s a few centuries old. Sex: AMAB Gender: Trans Female, as she just likes the fem aesthetic of certain beings for her vessels, but is fine with she/him. And all around fine with a bunch of terms.   Race: Wood Elf Homunculus with self-infused demonic feline characteristics. Sexuality: She doesn’t question it but she prefers other androgynous or effeminate beings such as Elves, Fae or representing beings. Personality traits: Shows little remorse for people she cares nothing for. Is brutal. Is more likely to question or toy with people first if they’re in her clutches and helpless. Humorous. Likes the internet. Is willing to eat people in terms of morality. Has no qualms with killing anyone if given enough reason or need really at all. Isn’t outwardly violent directly usually unless provoked. Enjoys pain in herself and others. Is goth. Is willing to barter or be traded with. A bit power hungry. A bit whimsical at times in what she’s willing to do or use her demons or minions for in terms of mundane tasks. Even going on insane, life-threatening quests to do so. Loyal within reason. Can love, but is selectively loving. Is funny. A bit jokey in a grim sense of threatening or she’s going to kill you way if you really annoy her. Can hold a grudge if someone gets in the way of her desires. Likes to show power over people by crushing them personally if she’s in the mood. Specifically to stomp them or to maul them depending or watch her minions tear someone apart or torture them. May rhyme a bit times and yes it is cheesy if not a bit gloomy. She is petty as all hell if properly put into being mad and frisky. Lies to people she hates constantly for fun. Is grumpy. Prone to rage-induced outbursts. Though she has a small smile and certain look to her in that she is so angry that she can’t properly express it, but she’s probably about to kill or torture the character in question. Self-loathing at times. Can be chill and calm at times... it depends though. She is prone to mood-swings and flights of fancy if you excite her. Likes stealing. Is somewhat interested romantically and physically into other people, but it really depends. Has a soft side for her friends, made-family or lovers. They have to put up with her though for anything lasting. Mental traits: Does not have a human mentality at all. It is near alien in terms of perception on the passage of time and people themselves. Is cat-like in terms of affection... when she bothers to show it anyway. Not the most mentally stable individual. Physical traits: She’s around 5′6. 7′3 when enraged or for other reasons. She’s somewhat filled out other than her chest, thick hips, a bit of bulky shoulders and arms. Doesn’t have claws exactly, but has claw-like nails that are painted black. She wears a black dress with white trimming she can tuck in for acrobatics, then black thigh-highs with white stripes. Then has black leather steel-toed boots. Her ears are that of an Elf’s in being long and pointed but are a bit mixed and hybridized. Has a tail that she keeps hidden though has considered removing it. She has a slight bit of fur over herself in a weird fuzz kind of way, like one of those dolls or things you see in cartoons. It’s hard to describe but it’s almost felt-like in texture to me. She has a strong body but is rather squishy. Her chest isn’t the biggest but it isn’t the smallest either. Powers: 

Grandmaster Necrotic, Life and Demonic Energy Manipulation: she’s augmented and changed her body to be a beacon and manipulator of it to a form of reality bending. Though limited in what it’s intended for in terms of what a supernatural periodic table is capable of. Thus she is limited by her components in terms of power scaling. This is purely ritualistic and for plotting only after talking, as Claire even assuming a more powerful, overwhelming form would probably not last forever and nor would I want it to. It is fine to consider her a master Necromancer and Demonologist in terms of reference, as her form of it in any sense does not resemble magic. And neither does it really in the type of mythos I’m adopting from legends. All this is mostly so even just a semi-experienced hero? Is capable of actually killing her. Do note this can also mean she could revive someone at a price for someone else, or conduct a change or even a wish with strong enough components.

Soulless: Claire has long since removed her soul. Mind and soul tampering effects do not effect her.

Fragmented Soul: Claire has fragmented her extracted soul overtime and has hidden pieces of it across dimensions and planes in the multiverse. This is here to let her revive or have plots to regain pieces of her soul back with her allies or have pieces stolen and bartered with her for. This is plotting only.

Curses: Claire can inflict things such as physical or mental curses... or even weird ones or death curses in the form of riddles or rhyming questions. Though based on how strong the curse is? The more simple it is, such as if it is was going to kill someone? It’d probably be a time limited one of seven days and a riddle they could get help on. Though if it was something benign and weird such as forever talking in Third Person? It could be an annoying complex or even trick question with a vague answer that could take years to figure out, if ever. It could make for fun little plots or more serious ones. Since her middle ground curses are probably the most harmful and long-lasting one such as a slow death or slow rot curse.

Demonic Physique and Senses: Her body can bend and twist in unnatural ways without harm. She is basically that of a Were-Creature in terms of strength but a step down from it. So she could rip someone in half, but couldn’t overpower a Vampire or Werewolf for example nor could she outrun or outspeed one. Unless of course, Vampires and Werewolves for some reason in your universe don’t have supernatural speeds, as I’m willing to work with different species of creatures such as that. She has mostly a strong, large bite force and claws as her main weapons other than her curses to better even the odds. Her bite force is probably the one thing to be warned of in terms of physical confrontations, as it can rend through steel and rock with ease. Her senses may be more potent than a Vampire’s and Werewolf’s in terms of vibration sense and hearing. But reflex and speed, smell is not unless it is a soul or spirit she’s tracking

Soul Eating: Claire is willing to go to great lengths to barter or take someone’s soul. Mostly to add to her fragments she’s hidden across worlds and plains to increase her survivability. Like OG demons, Claire cannot take or harm someone’s soul directly unless their will is either broken or given into her designs or desires willingly. Breaking a soul’s will would have to be extremely a lengthy, and undesired process however. It would be a waste of time and effort.

Grandmaster Minion Creation and Demon Subjugation: This ties into her Necrotic and Demonic Energy Manipulation, but this is her main form of combat even if she indirectly watches from afar at times. But mostly, it is to guard herself and her lairs. More often than not? Her minions are far more dangerous and treacherous to deal with than she is, though she is willing to be contracted to create other beings and of the like to be sold and given control to other people due to the quality of her craft. This varies from homunculus (abominations), demons and undead to be either changed, augmented or created or to subjugate.

Motivations: To maybe be loved a little by the right friend or lover. To do whatever she wants, when she wants. To be entertained always and is sometimes a bit weird unintentionally. To gain power and possibly kill a god or two for funnsies. Backstory: She was created by a High Wood Elf Wizard and was his assistant for half a century or so, before slowly accumulating enough power, enduring his abuse before killing him and melting his soul down to augment her own after devouring him. Then corrupting his tower, minions and murdering his family as a follow-up before settling down, then really starting to build herself up in the universe of her craft. Overall she mostly just gains power, goes on adventures, picks the occasional fight and plots her next scheme or endeavor.

Tries to make a proship OC, accidentally makes a whole somewhat problematic species. I’m just gonna paste my notes here:

Bug-like centaur type of dude, his species mostly lives underground so they are uncommonly seen by surface species. Eight limbs + a tail with a stinger, secondary pair of arms is smaller, more insect like, and typically held close to the body like mantis arms. The “queen” of a colony.

Only the “queen” role looks and thinks exactly like people, the other roles are more feral and have only six limbs. The drones look a little more dog-shark-dragon-like and always walk with all their limbs on the ground while the workers are more slender and can choose between tauric and feral movement. Soldiers are like workers and drones fused together, but are overall bigger than either of them. Like the workers, soldiers can shift between movement styles.

The “queens” are hermaphroditic and must mate multiple times, drones and “queens” from other established colonies can make a new “queen” but to clone more workers, drones, and soldiers the “queen” breeds with drones from their own colony. New “queens” take an entourage of drones and soldiers from their birth colony to spawn their first workers, and then once a nest is established they send out pheromones which will mark their territory and attract non-related drones to the new colony. They will also breed with any drones found along their journey.

Hybridization with other species can occur, the child takes after the one that birthed it more than the one who didn’t. DNA from other species can be integrated into the species if a “queen” carries interspecies offspring rather than impregnating another creature. Monsters with atypical traits have been created from impregnation of non-similar species (like a werewolf with chitin plates instead of fur)

There is a theory that this hybridization happened with people from a different species a long time ago and that’s why this species isn’t entirely feral.

Here’s a pic of the sketch showing the position and general shape of the secondary arms of a “queen”. (Queen is in quotes bc they can have any gender identity and may look masc or fem.)

The queen’s ears can be elf-like or round. They can have antennae, beetle horns, demon-looking or unicorn-looking horns, moth-like fur, basically any combo of traits you want as long as it has insect vibes. If they have wings they might not be able to fly though, their bodies are pretty long and probably too awkwardly shaped for flying.

My OC uses he/him pronouns and only likes men/masc folks. Idk what to name him or the species yet. Feel free to make your own if you want, just give credit so people can find this post!

What you need to know going into this story:

This fic is a Star Wars AU in that it is (to an extent) set in the Star Wars universe. This is just because I’m too lazy to world-build an entire universe for a single fic, but I already have a lot of energy put into creating my own pieces of Star Wars headcanons, OCs, and etc. that I’ve never gotten around to writing into anything, so I decided to adopt them for this fic. So while Yo Ho, Hero! takes place within the “universe” of Star Wars, it has little to nothing to do with the events of the films/shows/etc. I just wanted to use the planets/species/terminology/etc. of Star Wars instead of putting that much thought into it because I have enough else to do and all I want to do is write, not world-build, dammit.

Despite it sort-of-technically-kind-of-actually being a Star Wars AU, there are no Jedi. Just mages. No force, just good, old-fashioned magic.

In addition to planets/species/terminology/etc. from Star Wars, you may recognize some themes from other media. Yes, the “sailing ship in space” aesthetic is straight from Treasure Planet. It’s also likely that mentions of a planet called “Hyrule” will come up, along with Hylian and Rito species from it. Yes, this is a direct reference to Legend of Zelda, because at one point I was working on a LoZ/Star Wars crossover fic that never got written but did get absorbed into this story apparently. It’s also because I’m too lazy to come up with anything original.

There will be a few OCs who make minor appearances in this fic. Aleesha is one of my first-ever OCs (created when I was literally about 11-12) and has never found her way into an actual written story (despite me having PLANNED several stories about/concerning her) so I’m super excited to use her here!!! Jocasta is my D&D character who I love despite her being an actual disaster. I made a joke about how she should be in this fic cos she’s a pirate then had a galaxy brain moment and actually wrote her into it.

Pretty much any ship they encounter will be named after either a Legend of Zelda game or some other piece of popular media (my other primary source is Twilight book/movie names for some reason don’t @ me I’m unoriginal) so uhhh don’t be surprised by that. I am SO bad at coming up with names for places/things. People? Fine. I can do that. Places/ships/things/etc? Not a chance. (You may think I’m joking here, but you won’t think that when you read about a spaceship named Breath of the Wild or Midnight Sun, because those are both things that I’ve written and that may appear in this story.)

Personality: Josren is a very emotional and expressive person. She has to since she has no eyes and half her face is covered by a mask. She also makes up for this by using the force to convey her emotions if they're strong enough, causing other force-sensitives to feel similar emotions.

Backstory: Josren Ifol is the daughter of Zadek and Aileeh Ifol on the planet Alpheridies. She lived a relatively comfortable life and, when she displayed more advanced abilities with the Force, she was brought to be trained and educated at the Luka Sene. For many years, she lived and learned with her brothers and sisters until Jedi came to Alpheridies looking for force-sensitive beings to help fight in the war against the Separatists. Being the naive and eager girl she was, Josren was quick to volunteer and fight at the age of 14. Many of her people, including her teacher warned her and tried to convince her otherwise, but Josren wanted to try and help people all over the galaxy. So, she left with a few others to Coruscant and to the Jedi Temple. She was initially taught the beliefs of the Jedi and taught how to fight with a lightsaber. Training went by pretty fast since the girl was already taught the basics of combat during her time at the Luka Sene. She also had to construct and learn how to wield a lightsaber. Although this time, instead of combat being a means of self-defense, it was to be used in the means of attack. The training is what started opening her eyes to how contradictory the Jedi were—supposed peacekeepers fighting in a war.

She was assigned to Jedi Master Kit Fisto as an apprentice. Her first mission was helping her master track down Viceroy Gunray where she met Fisto's former padawan. They soon found out it was a trap. Most of their clone squad had been killed by Grievous and Josren became angry over their deaths and wanted revenge, the anger translating through the force, causing Nahdar to become angry as well. Josren herself starts to calm down each time Fisto reminds the two but Nahdar doesn't calm down until eventually, Nahdar is separated from the two and ultimately killed by Grievous in a duel. The two then go to escape, fighting off Grievous and his droids before flying away. After this mission, they mourn over the deaths of the clones and Nahdar and Kit teaches Josren how to control her emotions more since he could feel through the force that she was projecting her emotions through it. This makes Josren feel guilty and responsible for the death of Nahdar, making her hesitant to use the force as often as she used to. Yoda then offered to teach Josren a few lessons after Kit Fisto reported to the Council what happened and help her regain her confidence and have better control.

Soon, Josren and Master Fisto were assigned to go to the Ord Cestus medical station in order to gather supplies and aid for Master Windu and get them ready to be shipped off on Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee's ship. When word got out that Geonosian brain worms had taken control of the ship, Josren became increasingly worried for the people on board, especially for Ahsoka whom the young padawan had befriended. When they eventually boarded, Josren was quick to care for the Togruta and make sure her friend was in stable condition. It was also there that she met Barriss.

Once regaining her confidence, Josren rejoined her master and helped fight in the war. In her free time, she’d often meditate or look through the archives to expand her knowledge in both the Force and combat, befriending Jocasta Nu.

When Order 66 took place, Josren was at the Jedi Temple. She was doing her usual studying when she heard blaster shots. Investigating, she found the 501st marching into the Temple and shooting at other Jedi. Josren was about to fight when a hand grabs her shoulder. Jocasta stops her and shoves a sack into her arms, a youngling sleeping in it. Jocasta ordered Josren to leave the temple and run far, far away. Josren did as she was told, escaping to the Underworld of Coruscant with the child in hand. She soon left the planet altogether. Only then did Josren take a breath and try to use the force to sense if any other Jedi were alive. She found only death, fear, and pain.

Skills:

-Force: She is very connected to the force. Able to see extremely well using force sight, she's a bit more advanced than most her age with the force, especially thanks to her teachers at the Luka Sene training her pretty early. She's able to do basic things such as telekinesis, but also force jumps, jedi mind tricks, occasionally getting visions, and other force sub-powers. As she trains, her perception of the force becomes even stronger and her trust in it helps her learn abilities pretty fast compared to other jedi her age. She also uses the force to compensate for the lack of experience she has in combat since many combatants have been training for the better part of their lives while she has only trained for around 2 years. Some special force techniques she learns to use are animal bond and psychometry.

-Jar'Kai: She often used this technique and wielded two lightsabers, both usually in the unorthodox reverse grip. Although she still trained with one lightsaber in order to not be so dependent on both sabers.

-Form IV, Ataru: She utilized this form often thanks to her acrobatic skills and her master himself a user of this form. Often, Josren will maneuver her way around her opponent using flips and handsprings. It's also handy when trying to dodge blasters. She used this in pair with Djem So, using acrobatics to dodge and disorient her opponent before unleashing a number of powerful blows.

-Form V, Shien/Djem So: One of the first forms she learned, Josren utilized this technique often. Although pretty incompatible with Form IV, Josren used it because she preferred the reverse grip the form made so easily capable. She mixed it with the acrobatics of Ataru, dodging then striking with many powerful blows. She also used it to deflect blaster shots, often using her lightsaber to deflect them toward a chosen target.

-Marksman: She has great aim. Josren is able to deflect blaster shots with her lightsaber and hit her intended target spot on. She also has skill with shooting a blaster itself, hardly missing.

-Pilot: She's able to fly a ship extremely well and maneuver her way out of tight places. She's also able to fire the ship's guns accurately to knock down another ship.

-Reckless: She tends to jump into battle thanks to her enthusiasm, often not seeing the big picture and putting herself and a lot of others in danger. She becomes less and less reckless as she gets older, but sometimes she can't help it

-Weak in combat: She's only studied the different forms of lightsaber combat for about two~ years. On top of that, she added a second lightsaber to her repertoire. To compensate for this lack of skill, especially in lightsaber battles, Josren relies on the force since she's been practicing and perfecting her connection all her life.

-Overly emotional: She often projects her emotions into the Force, causing not only others, but also herself to be emotional and distracted.

Hi, this is Doc Melonhead: Content Moderator of the Undertale OC Wiki.  We value the accuracies and authorial respect of the characters within said wiki, but at the same time our guidelines are strict and demand thorough reading before an attempt of an article are made.

  This will provide the basic guidelines of submitting an OC to the wiki without the risk of deletion. If you wish to submit an article there, please take note of the following:

Your OC must have origins within the World of Undertale and their variants

This is called the Undertale OC wiki for a reason. This means that we only accept those who originate from a variant of the world of Undertale (Deltarune included). It doesn’t matter if they’re related to said series or not, they have have some short of origins that make sense with either the Undertale/Deltarune narrative (or, in Ink!Sans’s case, meta-narrative of the Undertale Fandom).

Your OC will be used by others

This means that by submitting your character onto the OC Wiki, you hereby declare that said characters are free to be used by the Undertale/Deltarune Fandom. Though proper credits will be provided, the overall character will be used without the original creator’s knowledge or consent. This is a warning to all who want their OC to be known, but wary about their uses by others.

Your OC must be variable in multiple fanstories/AUs

Your Character must be created for the purpose of being used in multiple stories. If a character was created as part of a narrative (Like Bete Noire of Glitchtale or X!Sans of X!Tale Underverse), they’re not allowed in said wiki. 

Note that there are two kinds of OCs:

Recurring:  Characters that can be included in the AU, like as a cameo, part of a plot, or as a antag/protag of a narrative (example Red).

Out!Codes:  Characters not bound by a single AU, and therefore can Travel throughout and/or observe the vast Multiverse (example Ink!Sans)

You must follow the guidelines as close as possible

This makes it easier for us moderators and others to clean up the articles since we don’t want to do all of the heavy lifting. 

According to the Article Creation Guidelines, your articles must include an Introductory Paragraph summarizing the character in four complete sentences, and an character Infobox provided by the wiki with the following information filled:

Name: The name of the OC of the article

Author: The real life Creator of the OC; can include a pseudonym of said creator

Role: Must be either Protector, Destroyer, Wanderer, or Moderator

Alignment: Your standard Dungeon and Dragons Morality Alignment of said character.

Species:  Can be Human, Monsters, Darkners, etc. You can also specify what kind of these three group your OC can fall into.

Sex: Can be Male, Female, or Unknown; if the character’s birth sex was established, then it will be listed accordingly (CORE!Frisk for example)

Failure to do so would have the article deleted within 24 hours.

Additional Information can be provided as long as they follow the Page Organization standards.

Conclusion

Hope this will clear things up. I may go around and search for free to use OCs in my spare time, and include them on the Wiki. But feel free to include your own characters that you want to be included in other Fan stories and AUs, and to use some of ours in yours.

I do not wish anything but good things upon Dia and everyone else involved with this, and I hope that Dia is doing okay and wish them the best moving forward, and I don’t know too much about Rise since I was never a part of it since I never really cared for it, but a couple things.

One, if people paid for their cats, it is not them feeling entitled to them or someone else’s art. They literally fucking are. They bought that with money they earned. That isn’t an entitled Karen. If they didn’t buy it, it is still theirs. They won it or claimed a free service option (I have no idea how Founders worked so the free service may not be totally correct but still my point stands) that was offered to them, and it is theirs. You can’t give someone a gift and then just take it back. Rise isn’t one of the special circumstances where that’s okay, nor was it accidental. While someone made the art, it now belongs to whoever bought it, or whoever it was given to, because they now own it. If the species wasn’t closed I can understand not wanting to allow selling, but if the species is closed, that’s really just a straight up dick move, especially if the people paid for it. There’s only so much you can do with something very community based without the community, and if people lose interest, there’s no way they can get that money back and at some point, it may be money they need. While there doesn’t seem like much can be done if that rule is broken, Dia is a mod on CS, with sway, and they could probably have a user banned for breaking that species rule. I’m not saying they would, but that abuse of power is possible. Also, not allowing them to be used on other sites is also really not okay? It would be more understanding if Dia paid for them herself, but from my understanding, people pitched in to pay for the lines currently used, so there’s not even that excuse. I read the closing post, Rise cats are now considered regular OCs, and it’s not right to constrict the use of their official reference like that. If it were to not upload to places like imgur or Pinterest, that I get because the credit becomes untraceable then, but what if now that the species doesn’t exist someone wanted to develop them elsewhere? There’s no longer any reason to police that and as a species owner myself there really isn’t any justifiable reason I can see to not allow that.

Two, as someone else has said already, Dia took that custom for currency, and if she wasn’t certain about something, she absolutely should have asked for clarification. Most people who take commissions that I’ve seen, references are super important, and if there’s not enough, they ask. They don’t talk it over with other staff members, they go directly to the person and ask. If there was no “surprise me” or “I really do not give a shit about what you do outside these things”, she should have gone straight to Faded to clarify. That is on her. She also says to Fadedfyre that that’s the problem with people ordering cats with technical terms and she wants it to go away. If it’s a problem, then if she was unsure and this has happened before and she doesn’t want it to happen, then she absolutely should have asked for clarification. It’s good she offered to change the eye color, really good, but this could have been avoided if she had asked. It also could have been avoided if a reference had been provided to begin with, but Dia still should have asked. Anxiety is also not an excuse for making someone do extra work or entitling you to it, but from what I saw that was not what Fadedfyre was asking or doing. They explained, asked if anything could be done, and even in their rude reply did not demand or ask for anything to be fixed. They didn’t seem to come in expecting something to happen, just wanting to see if something could be done.

Three, yes, Fadedfyre was rude and really shouldn’t have been like that, but they admitted and acknowledged they were and aren’t acting like it was okay to be rude, and I am also not saying that it was okay, because it’s not, and it’s a huge no. However, they weren’t asking someone to remake it, they were merely asking if anything could be done. That’s not a “demand” for someone to change it. A month also isn’t a super unreasonable time. No where near ideal and definitely a long time, yes, but not insanely unreasonable. It should have been dealt with sooner, but there is so much that can happen in a month and so many reasons why it couldn’t have been dealt with sooner. Real life is a huge one. Personally, since October I’ve been super busy with things and struggling to fix things and I’ve only had a few moments of spare time, and just this month, my cat died, I’ve gone back to the place I was mentally a few years ago which is the worst place I’ve ever been, and my gecko completely surprised me with two babies out of fucking nowhere when I thought her breeder hadn’t ever bred her and I didn’t think eggs could even survive in her tank and I was proved very wrong. I’ve not had any space to breathe. So much can happen out of nowhere and take all your time and energy and a CS species probably isn’t near the top of your priority list. Fadedfyre expressed that they’ve had a lot of in person stuff going on and had anxiety and it took a lot to get them to message Dia, and while I have no idea what is going on for them, I can completely understand where they’re coming from with that. Anxiety can cause you to take ages to work up to being able to do things, and when you’re already going through heavy shit it can take even longer. That anxiety (and excitement) can also make things take longer to realize. You can rationalize, tell yourself that you’ll like it and that it’s not really that bad and your feelings will pass, and then they don’t, and it’s been awhile and you have to accept it and want to see if you can do something about it. Authority figures are also so insanely difficult to approach and Fadefyre said Dia reminded them of people that were not good in their life and that made things harder. To me, Ria definitely comes off as a terrifying authority figure that gives the typical emotionless authority copy paste authority person responses, so I know to me it would take weeks to be able to say something, because I do not do well with people like that, and people like that played a massive hand in fucking my life up and now I instantly distrust anyone who is like that because my only experiences with them are the people who ran my school promising me that nothing would be done, and then the next day sent a fucking policeman to my house to force me to school when I wasn’t able to go in because my anxiety was just too much and I just couldn’t force myself to go. Dia’s comment on anxiety really should not have been made and feels so so unsympathetic and not understanding. I am sure Fadedfyre wanted to address it earlier, but for many reasons they simply couldn’t, and saying “oh I know anxiety makes it hard but if you do it sooner anyway the person will take it better and this thing will go better” really does not help. It’s something that is already known, and the wanted result, but it can’t always be achieved and saying that just makes you feel even worse and as someone with anxiety I can assure you we feel bad enough about it on our own and that’s part of why we take so long. Fadedfyre really should not have responded the way they did but oh god I can see why that caused a snap. That sentence next to a smiley face would have set me off too if it had taken me ages to work up to things because thats the attitude the people at my school had and it’s a hurt I’m still healing from. Brushing off someone’s anxiety like that isn’t cool and it may just be me but Fadedfyre’s apology for Dia reminding them of those two teachers seemed really genuine. Also, I may be blind but I don’t see where the art was insulted? It was never called bad or terrible or shit, just the judgement was a bit harshly criticized. The blocking is justified but as a staff member and species owner, it feels really premature. In authority positions you need to be open and a point of contact, and if you have to block someone it’s best to refer to someone else or at least wait a bit longer to see if there’s an apology or explanation.

Four, NaCI shouldn’t have been told they had to judge them. Things didn’t go as planned and they weren’t in the place for it and someone should have at least been allowed to take over if they volunteered. Also, Dia deleting the post and saying staff should be the ones to answer questions when it wasn’t that also was not okay.

Five, if Dia really didn’t tell the staff either, that’s also not good. She should have at least told them beforehand or made them aware she was considering it.

I don’t think anyone should be mad at Dia or hateful towards her for closing Rise because you need to do what you need to do for your mental health and I cannot stress how important your mental health is, but that doesn’t mean people can’t be upset or critical of what happened because Rise is something that meant a lot to many people. Just be respectful no matter how you’re feeling.

I apologize for how long this is and mods, even if this isn’t posted and I imagine it wont be, I am so truly sorry you had to read all this. You guys are cool and I’m sorry to have made more work for you and wish you all the best and hope you have a most wonderful year.
