LATE NIGHT THOUGHTS WITH MISSY!!!1!1!1!1!1!

this is about atsv and just the spiderverse in general cause I just love it sm BUT ANYWAYS!!!!!

has anyone ever realized just how like CREEPY the concept of the spiderverse is? like if I was in a room where it was different versions of me, who have lived different lives and made different decisions along with its consequences, I’d be freaking tf out 😭😭😭 especially when miguel brings up the canon event theory and how in the end spiderman looses SOMEONE. it’s like the spiderperson is bound to suffer no matter what they do just because they got bit by a spider.

also what got me thinking about this and how existential it is was when in the comics of the spiderverse (idk which it was but I kinda remember what happened) pavitr was talking to another spiderman about how they’re all different variations of one person and aren’t completely unique or original. he even thought he didn’t do enough as spiderman and just felt like he wasn’t achieving as much as the others. which leads me to my other point as to how overwhelming it can be to be a spiderperson. like not only is it kinda unnerving knowing that there’s another you somewhere in the universe and also along with the fact that ur made for suffering, but there’s different spidermen and women who have probably done more than you and it just leave you like “oh wow im pretty fucking bad at this lol!”

and then along with atsv, it’s even creepier when you think that maybe, before miles, there were other spiderpeople who were against Miguel’s canon event theory. his theory barely makes sense but it also does??? but how can you even begin to use logic on the multiverse, which (in the wise words of dr strange) “we know terrifyingly little of.” like ik that Miguel’s universe is way more advanced than the others, but again the universe is constantly changing and expanding, which can cause new ways and concepts that we probably won’t be able to figure out for years. and what ended up happening to those spiderpeople who were against him?

ALSOOOO let’s talk about Pavitr’s dimension because JESUS CHRIST???? ITS LITERALLY GETTING SUCKED IN BY A BLACK HOLE (LIKE HOW OETER WARNED IN THE FIRST MOVIE) AND NOBODY IS WORRIED??? ALSO UHH CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT IN HIS EARTH’S ALCHEMAX, THEY WERE BUILDING A FUCKING COLLIDERRRRRRR?!(&3@2@2 LIKE WHO AUTHORIZED THAT?? was it mfin KINGPIN or did scientists feel a little silly and decided to build a whole ass machine that can create a rip in the fabric of space. AND THE FACT THAT IT ALSO WORKED TOO BRO…. LIKE UHMMM???

and then what’s gonna happen to pavitrs dimension bro 🤨 because I’m sure we’ve all seen that one picture from one of the artists giving a whole visual set to how the spiderverse net thing works. dimensions aren’t completely gone, but rather disconnected…. so what about gabi’s too 😭😭 it literally said that it was just snapped off, and spiders can always weave their webs back together. in the image we also show how pavitr’s isn’t completely unattached, but holding on by a few threads. would they end up finding a way to fix it???

also I’ve had this unrealistic theory lmao where they travel back in time and the entire story just resets!!!! it’s silly but tbh since we know time traveling is possible since Hobie’s universe is based in the 70s? im pretty sure AND GWEN TIME TRAVELED A WEEK WHEN SHE FIRST WENT TO MILES DIMENSION BRO. like maybe the way to fix things is if the collider never happened, because that was the root of the entire problem, right? idk man but it��s just there’s so many possibilities and i cannot fucking wait 😭😭😭

Love you hit Fabian with the dead dad stick because me too! (Kind of)

In regards to his family, I've always thought of Fabian's situation kind of similarly, especially in my fics where I've had many unneccessary Thoughts like:

-No dad, not sure whether he's dead or he left when Fabian was really young so he basically has no memories of him

-I had no idea what I wanted his mum's profession to be but I knew I wanted her to travel a lot and not really be around, like she cares about Fabian but she's pretty absent and has been since he was young, so I made her an archaeologist (cop-out answer Ik but I liked how it could link her, Jasper and Fabian's uncle, which I like the idea of his uncle being on the maternal side (it also works for my Plotty brain))

-He's the baby of the family with 2-3 older sisters (give that bitch the youngest child complex)

-There's an age gap between him and his sisters (alluding to the idea he was possibly an accident and the dad dipped) and they basically raised him

-He had a sheepdog that he was inseparable with when he was younger (I have this image in my brain of the dog helping him learn to walk that makes me die) but they had to put her down a couple years into Fabian being at the school and he couldn't be there because it was exam season

-You are so right that he's a scholarship kid it just makes sense that while he's incredibly smart and loves learning I think when it comes to school he doesn't have the 'drive' say, Mara does, and it's more a case of panic helping him succeed

-That said, him and Mara definitely used to study together before they fell into their respective friendship groups and he'd help her with languages and physics, and she'd help him with biology and computer sciences

-His sisters take on a lot of the financial burden of the family so they often can't come to see his school events, but you bet your arse they showed up to watch the play in S1 and were dying laughing at his Victor impression the whole time and ribbed him endlessly afterwards for his obvious heart eyes at Nina

-His sisters have much stronger northern accents than Fabian (because he's been at the school full-time since he was young it's been southern-ed out of him) and they take the piss out of him for it (good-naturedly) but the rest of the house always notice when they come back after Christmas or Summer and Fabian's accent is much thicker

Thats kind of all of my coherent thoughts about his family situation but I just love coming up with unneccessary headcanon's about my blorbos

i'm obsessed w all of these. esp the sheepdog (crying at that mental image help..) and youngest child complex i can Very Much see that for him. he's either that or an only imo -- for your particular set of headcanons, the sisters are soooo choice and very much the move (also love how that changes how you'd interpret his relationships with the other girls in the house, patricia in particular lol) -- if you ever make his sisters full ocs i need to know ASAP bc i already love them.

was also half-deciding on archaeologist for his mom's profession/was at the very least envisioning her as some sort of research faculty that relied on grants (and thus would be very busy, lots of pressure to keep the grants resulting in some tunnel vision re: her ability to be present as a parent, etc) and adding heavy travel onto that was something hanging out in the back of my mind -- archaeology, certain fields of anthropology, and similar would all produce that vibe and picking archaeology specifically is the Tried and True Classic + hard agree that it gives her a more solid connection to the shop (always good because i think it can come off as a bit of a red herring for his family's financial situation but that's just me lol) -- i was auto-envisioning ade as being his mom's brother and not his dad's despite the surname at first/only caught that when i was making my post, so i love that you just went for it and made ade his maternal uncle anyway. moms keeping their maiden name and the kids getting her surname is based as hell

and adding to that tbh...you could do some really interesting stuff with his mother's job re: her relationship with his father, ie. him being resentful of her not being around, but making the problem worse by leaving himself once he's had enough (not recognizing he's dooming his kid to the exact same fate he left behind type vibes). very very very tasty possibilities there. also very tasty possibilities for him and eddie to have Why The Hell Is My Dad Like That sessions if his dad isn't dead/truly did just dip and tried to come into his life again later same as mr. sweet did lol

re: scholarship kid YEAH!!! the flavor of Being Smart he has feels so much more anxious and precarious than mara's in a way that isn't justified by his actual school performance (he seems to find making connections pretty easy and has a good memory/attention to detail when he isn't being cursed) and would be better explained by that sense of "if i don't work as hard as i possibly can, i could lose all of this" -- yes, that's part and parcel of the literal life and death stakes of the plot, but idk he was like that waaaay too quick and waaaaay before things got life threatening. bro is just baseline anxious in a way someone smart and explicitly privileged (mara) wouldn't be because her level of security in her situation is simply Too High (and that ooooooozes out of her character, esp as the series goes on and she gets more starkly compared to characters like jerome).

that DOES make them very cute study buddies tho (esp w the dynamic you describe omg) and i'm so excited to play with that a bit later in foyf (because i will admit i lowkey forgot i even came up with that project plotline i sort of threw in there a couple chapters ago where i paired them up but it's okay i remembered now and i've been intending to write in the academic rivalry stuff from TOR all along anyway it's fine..)

also YESSSS HIS ACCENT...love you (head)canonizing that he DOES lose it gradually over the show and it makes me SO SAD!!!!!!!!!!! him gaining it back over holidays is so real and so cute (my own regional accent does the exact same thing whenever my dad's regional accent gets thicker because he talked to someone that made it thicker LOLLL) so ngl i'm fully swiping this one <3

*shuffles out of bedroom with walker* Can I tell you kids about what it was like back in the day here, 10 years ago, on Tumblr in the Phantasy Star fandom? Again?

90% of posts were wordpress links about PSO2. I’m not kidding, that’s what the majority of the Phantasy Star tag was. There was also a few blogs doing posting for the original games, but when it came to PSO1, there was nothing, which is why I created this blog.

I created this blog with limited gif making experience, and the majority of this blog’s earlier postings was fanart I’d find online with the source provided. I created this blog for pretty selfish reasons because...I wanted to make an assload of PSO content for my main blog. Instead, this blog became the main blog. After I created this blog, a few other Phantasy Star related blogs popped up. Sadly, those blogs are no longer around to my knowledge.

Anyway I stopped posting fanart because I’d get upset when my GIFs got reposted on here. Ik there’s a difference but after that I just felt disrespectful reposting art.

Fast forward to current *wipes happy tears*

I see MANY Phantasy Star URLs!!!! THERE’S POSTING IN THE TAGS. THERE’S SOME OF US STREAMING IT AND OTHERS WATCHING AND OTHERS JOINING. THERES. ARTISTS. HERE!!!!!

It feels like. A wholeass community popped up. And its just so beautiful. And the most exciting part is seeing everyone else’s contribution. Looking through my archive, my feed looks identical to what it did 7+ years ago, and I have you guys to tank for that. I think everyone is very stupid about ai discourse on both sides. Like it's a bunch of teens who don't have experience in the work force or creative industries yelling at each other about how ai will or will not effect workers and artists. Meanwhile we could be doing actual helpful things like getting involved and standing in solidarity with laborers and creatives.

no literally the way twt artists who do $5 icon commissions think they’re the most oppressed people on earth gets on my nerves sometimes lol

on the topic of solidarity and labor i cant say ik how those kinda of artists r gonna be affected (tho imo there’ll always will be a market for that kind of indie art it just won’t be big) but i rly think abt the environmental impact of the expansion of this kind of technology like remember how ridiculously wasteful NFTs were? while idk anything abt it, i think abt the amt of hardware needed to run those modes and who will have to work to build that tech and mine the metals needed etc etc .. stories of those workers getting paid shit to moderate ai results to remove the obscene stuff too like of all the workers it’s Not gonna be twt artists getting exploited the hardest

also like i think ppl have lost the plot in so many ways wrt the Risks of ai tech? i remember when the big problem with neural network “ai” was the security risk it poses to all of us and the way that companies and governments have the profit from our info and b able to monitor our movements … like that’s still an issue, ai generated images is just a byproduct of all of That. opposing ai generated images and acting like using ai is morally wrong is just missing the forest for the trees

Ik you've answered this/similar questions before but I've looked through some of ur tags and can't find it. I want to buy my sister a drawing tablet but really have no idea which ones are the best. Like I did look some things up, but I thought I'd ask for some people (who like draw on tablets) too.

no worries, for whatever reason my art advice tag is like 90% nonfunctional and it’s like, the only tag of mine that does that ☹️ i will say, i have only owned a couple different tablets (so obviously i’m not gonna be able to tell you if there are better models out there) but i’ve liked all of them!

i think this is the first tablet i ever used? it’s hard for me to be sure, because it was really long ago. basic wacom tablet with a black screen. it takes more effort to pick up the skill of putting your hand on a blank black surface while creating an image on the screen, but something cheap like this is nice if you’re not able to commit to something more expensive and aren’t sure how far you want to take the hobby.

(to be clear, it’s not like this kind of tablet necessarily limits you—ikimaru, who’s been a super popular digital artist for years, makes gorgeous art on a bamboo CTH-460 which is a model you can buy on ebay for $18. it’s just that it takes a little more getting used to.)

also, wacom is the brand i used for a basic tablet, and I didn’t mind mine, but i have heard wacom sometimes is a little sketchy with planned obsolescence type stuff 😵‍💫 like the pen nibs supposedly wear out way quicker than, for example, the huion brand, so you might want to check out what huion’s got. i will say: i used that wacom tablet for 1-6 hrs/day for several years and had no problems, BUT many people on the internet seem to prefer huion over wacom. up to you.

still, i honestly think you can do well with any tablet that has a stylus and pen pressure lol (which is basically all of them). like there are lots of different tablets with lots of different features out there, but the only feature that i found made a real difference to me was touchscreen vs. non-touchscreen.

non-touchscreen tablets are totally usable and usually way less expensive, but the touchscreen is really nice to have if it’s in your budget. it feels closer to traditional art and is easier to pick up.

I personally have never used a touchscreen tablet that was just a drawing tablet—i’ve used a surface pro 4 (a touchscreen computer) and an ipad pro. both were very nice. honestly, I didn’t notice a huge difference in the feeling of drawing on the screens of the surface pro vs the ipad—the biggest thing for me was the art programs. some programs are only compatible with computers and some programs are only compatible with ipads. here’s what I personally noticed:

krita (nice for painting) and ms paint (fun for dicking around in) are both NOT available on ipad, at least as far as i know

rebelle 5 pro (supposedly a very cool program for emulating real painting), which is currently on a huge sale rn (it’s $20, normally costs $150) and is also NOT available on ipad

paint tool sai, as far as i know, is not available on ipad

clip studio paint is available on BOTH ipad and computer, but is more expensive on ipad (it’s a monthly subscription instead of a one-time purchase).

procreate is ONLY compatible with ipad, and is, personally, my favorite art program i’ve ever used. there’s a brush or two from krita that i miss, but for the most part, procreate is solidly better than any other art program i’ve used.

most of the nicest animation programs seem to be incompatible with ipad; the ones that work on ipad are quite basic. this is the only major sticking point for me lol

one thing about ipad that you might’ve read about in your research is this feature that lets you tilt the pencil and draw as if you’re using the “flat” side of it:

this is sometimes cool and sometimes inconvenient, so it kinda balances out to neutral. if you’re torn between ipad and a different touchscreen tablet then don’t decide off this feature lol.

if your sister already has an ipad (or if you’ve got a family one that she has decent access to), it might be a nice thing to just get her a compatible apple pencil, so you can save money on the tablet.

but yeah! those are the models i’ve used and i’ve liked them all. even if you get her a relatively cheap non-touchscreen tablet she can still make really cool art with it and have a lot of fun. good luck!

my top 3 fave eps of eps that I've rewatched the most are: The Gang Gets Romantic, The Gang Group Dates, and The Gang Dances Their Asses Off (with Dennis Reynolds: An Erotic Life as an honorable mention lol)

7. what’s something that we haven’t seen in the show yet that you’d like to see?

i clearly wanna see some resolution or 'get together' scene ONSCREEN (cuz i have argued previously that they HAVE already banged offscreen in Dennis Gets Divorced) but I'd like to see, at the very least, going from writing Macdennis as subtext to making that the overt text. Which, in their defense, they've started doing since s12 ... but I just hope they execute the culmination of the storyline they started in s12/s13 in a way that.. does not suck ass. and i'm usually willing to give rcg a lot of leeway about this particular thing cuz like. theyre str8 they dont know any better LOL. but yeah i wanna see mac and dennis kiss, fuck, date, idc! something!

other things i'd like to see: i'd like to see charlie getting some cathartic 'snapping' arc where he goes back into the badroom and in the vents and the gang cant get him out cuz hes rlly emotional (like as a result of his dad dying or smth) and he basically just snaps, Phantom of the Opera style but he'd be like the Phantom of Paddy's... and maybe this is all while Dee's trying to host an event of whatever kind and so hes just lurking around the whole time trying to sabotage the event... maybe he kidnaps someone LOL thatd be ccool

i also would LOVE to see waitress becoming a more recurring character, esp to team up with Dee. I'd ideally like to see them move IN together n be a duo, but I'll take what I can get. I also just wanna see Dee going crazy. I kinda want Dennis and Dee to have a swap where DEE is the angry, spiteful one and Dennis is just sad and pathetic at his lowest yknow? LOL. Like I think they could easily do this as well, and it seemed to me like they experimented with that kind of dynamic in Gets New Wheels. and lastly, PUT DEE IN THE DUSTER!!!!

i'd like to see more of Mac's ACTUAL life... cuz he has been TALKING about doing all this shit the past couple seasons but we dont get to see what he's ACTUALLY getting up to. So sorta a Mac's Double Life ep but done much better LOL. I just want some character exploration with Mac cuz they seem to be struggling with what to do with Mac since he came out. And I know part of that also has to do with Rob wanting to have a gay man in the writers room but (so far, as far as I know) not being able to get any lol.

I'd also like to see some shit about whatever is going on with Frank that we found out he has a serious, terminal disease in s11... but ik a lot of ppl have said that before me, and for good reason its like.. wtf is going on there LOL

10. who’s your least favorite character?

shit... good question.... yknow i'll just use this as an opportunity to say i hate the way they wrote fat mac. it just felt like they squandered his potential. the way they executed the joke itself was just reeking of rcg's own body image issues which makes it just uncomfortable/not funny if you dont ALSO have rcg's body issues LOL. like i think if they'd done a slower progression over time where the characters just Look Their Age as they age would be a good subversion and probably not too difficult to maintain LMAO. and if Rob wanted Mac's part in that to be gaining some weight for a season/a couple seasons that could've been subversive in itself and done well. But I think bc they made it a seasonal gimmick it suffered for that. So I'm not really answering the question i Know but KJDFGNKDJ tbh i loooove the cast of characters we've become familiar with I think they're all great

massively mixed feelings on these ai trends and idk what to do with the conflicting emotions

Ik at least a small part of it has to be admittedly like... bitterness? which is never a very good justification so I want to acknowledge it and sweep it aside. But it is real. the like.. dreamy aesthetic one i dont mind so much for this point because its really easy to recognize but the new ai “art” program that you can input prompts into and it creates a whole thing from scratch- That one gives me a bit of a squick because like... The average person online is ATROCIOUS at recognizing the differences between different media and is SUPER SUPER easily fooled by like, photorealism ad digital manipulations and stuff *already* and I can pROMISE you majority of people wont know when they are looking at a completely AI fabricated image.

I dont think that the tech isnt *really fucking cool* and that it shouldn’t be used- I can actually think of a ton of applications where it would be really really useful for people in all sorts of fields and skill levels- and I’d love to see it used honestly.

But what I dont like is that like... slow making art forms and like, techniques that require a LOT of time and skill to hone are ALREADY massively undervalued and being replaced by things that take 0.2 seconds to do with AI and program help now and its like... Very very disheartening as someone who tends to gravitate towards process heavy things. Because speed will always be prioritized in a capitalist environment, these tools will replace artists, and that is a good thing for like, individuals wanting to improve their personal gains, and will make a lot of things way easier for people both skilled and unskilled in visuals generation. Which isnt entirely a bad thing. But it almost assures that like, concept artists and illustrators and stuff will be out of a lot of jobs because like. Why pay someone to go to school to learn to paint it and pay them an hourly wage or contract when you can type it into a program and get a believable image in 30 seconds. And also like. As much as im very anti-gatekeeping art for like, learning and skill sharing and stuff. I am a little gate-keepy on who should be making art for profit. and ONLY. ONNNNNLLLYYYY. because I worry about the environmental costs of people *producing* just to make money. We create so many objects that just Do Not need to exist and are contributing to massive industries that are decimating the environment. And like I’m not talking abt people making art their passionate abt. Im talking abt like, etsy digital asset resellers and shit. People who make 1000 different merch objects just to diversify their passive income and dont really care abt who is buyig it or why? Like its admittedly a little pretentious sure but like. It’s also just I have a STUPID sensitivity to the responsibility opf the individual to a point where its honestly ridiculous. I refuse to make art in the medium my degree is in because the environmental cost to the environment involved in being reliant on mining and oil and gas skeeves me out too much lol. which is kinda silly. because you cat really escape it. But I also like. dont have any art to make in that medium that I think the world NEEDS that justifies that. so like. why bother. Where as working in linoleum, its biodegradable, paper is compostable. Like sure its still not ideal and shipping and all that is still a huge impact and inks still require mining. But its a Way more even load of cause and effect so it doesnt make me feel as horrid y’know? anyway sidetracked. Point being sometimes things being easier and more available isnt like. great. and i really would like to see society push towards *less* and slower more mindful, well researched creation rather than just dopamine seeking creative impulses and monetization.

Anyhow in the other fandom they call him Asmodaddy (can the OM fandom claim that) please... cuz the man that I showed you is a horrible, manipulative bastard, and makes Belial less evil!!

Um, is that guy wearing a crown of barbed wire?? Because yo that's pretty intense! I don't know what I was expecting, but wow he looks like OM Asmo's exact opposite lol.

Though that's definitely something that happens with these characters based on demons! The OM demons are really nice and chill. I think most media that use demons like this tend to make them the bad guys, so they're usually pretty terrible. Or you've got demons that try to be good, but they're demons and can't fully change their evil nature. I mean, people complain about the OM demons doing things that are immoral and I think the game tried to keep them slightly demonic in the beginning what with the threats to eat MC. But it's not like these guys are out here stealing souls or torturing people or even killing humans. They're not inspiring war or trying to control powerful humans or even trying to tempt regular humans or take over the world etc etc.

Personally I think Asmodaddy is the funniest thing I've ever heard. There is a moment - I think it was in the TTWF event - where Asmo says his fans call him daddy or something along those lines. So while I think we could call him that I don't think I could do it with a straight face lol.

And oh, thank you I'm glad you like my writing! I really love talking about the lore and such too so I'm happy that you're enjoying that as well! *hugs*

small [read: lengthy] mcrp (traffic/hermits) sims update

No more new DSMP sims, but a bunch of [the same] Hermits/Traffic sims! Mostly - mostly just Joels. The way I’m doing this is making each character, and then colour palette swapping them for each life stage in each series.

I kind of did SB out of order cause i watched LimLife first, so i knew that skin best (aside from his standard human shrek skin that i kind of mostly just want to....... ignore.... because its. it’s. it’s human shrek guys. i don’t - i can’t. I refuse.) ANYWAY yeah so we’ve got;

LimLife; green and red.

I’m probably gonna change his hair idk. DL!Joel isn’t set in stone yet. (Once I get to life stage swapping of colours i will fucking refuse to change anything about the design because OH GOD how long that would take.....)

last life; green is currently in progress.

Taking liberties too for variety’s sake. Not that he spent long on Green or Yellow in LastLife, lol. Still. Ignore the crown is floating; the height slider mod and the hat slider mod (for adjusting the positon of hat-category CC, not always hats though) conflict with each other as they use the same slider location (neck). REALLY annoying. Used to exist a height slider that used the front foot location instead of the neck and I wish it still worked so I could have them both in game at the same time... alas. Also if you remove the hat slider the hats reset to original position, which is horrendous. If you remove the height slider this is not the case, so basically; do heights first, then hats. Learnt this the hard way. Annoying, though, because if they’re too short you can’t access the neck in order to adjust hat position........... ugh. Problem for future Cesca to deal with. I do have the hairs I’ll be using for Yellow and Red LastLife Joel already set aside, though. There’s so much shit I have to keep track of for this project lmao. Might swap the pinkish/reddish crown over to his greenlife and use the gold one for yellow because..... it’s... yellow. Obviously. Don’t know why I thought I needed to explain that one...Canonically he’s wearing the black crown during his redlife, so. You know. Can’t really mess with that one.

Yeah i went with the wolf thing as best I could for variety’s sake. Also like a kind of transformative corruption or whatever idk what the fuck i’m talking about. Loads of fanart gives him antennae (I guess as a way of interpreting the shrek ears?) so I just. Went with that. Why not. Alien man. Sure. Skin tinted green, yellow and red on each life. There are SO many swatches i have to swap around guys. so many. just so many. The reason i haven’t colour palette swapped LimLife!Yellow!Joel yet is bc. oh god the number of swatches i’m going to have to swap around....

Green!3rdLife / Mazalean King!Joel, hence the purple streaks. I use an eye shine for the Traffic versions as an extra way to distinguish between non-death game versions of the characters and their usual selves. This is also what i consider Joel’s ‘default’ hairstyle to be, I guess. For now.

Couldn’t really tell in the preview, but red!3rdLife Joel is. just. that’s a lot of blood. (Not his.)

For obvious reasons, my favourite Joel to make was LimLife joel.

OTT? Absolutely. As he should be. Ik the darker green/teal dye is a bit glitched but i just used whatever I could find that worked. Can’t be arsed to replace with a better option now I have one, which I did use for the red!life and will use for the yellow. I still think it looks pretty great so I don’t really care. These glasses took FOREVER to find btw. But they’re perfect <3 so. Worth it. I also saw people draw LimLife!Joel with some kind of goatee-esque facial hair, unlike his usual design (and the times he has a full beard, like LastLife and Empires s2), and you know. Go big or go home! Especially with a Joel design. (Or a Scar design, for that matter.) So I went with that, too. Not dyed though because. Maximalism. Also I’m pretty sure everyone’s like in their 30s and I’m not checking that assumption. Jsyk. LimLife Joel is having a midlife crisis a decade too early <3. Anyway I finally got a chance to use all my alt cc i’ve been saving up for soooooo long because it’s so fun. So that’s nice. Pathetic worst loser gang Bad Boys trio my beloveds <3. Can’t wait to make tryhard failing at punk LimLife!Jimmy. That’s gonna be so fun.

Which is hermit!Ren (s9, specifically). I need to make King!Ren and then i can start going over the Traffic!Rens. He has the wrong ears really because I wanted it to be more of a dog thing than a wolf thing, and I actually think these are fox ears now I’m looking at them... Oh well. They work fine for their purpose.

But we’ve got no potato or pig mumbo bc of the sims 4′s limitations when it comes to non-human[oid] characters. Need to make Traffic!Mumbo. I tihink he was only in LastLife??? So if that’s the case at least there’s only one of him to be dealing with. He’s got a bunch of outfits other than these because I don’t actually get to use the more formal cc I have in my game all that often. Pacific!Mumbo has a bunch of really fun outfits too. Mumbo was one of the more funky sims to make, actually.

As for Grians we’ve only got a s9 Grain man so far;

And yeah, the wingspan is kind of absurd. But you know. To lift a whole-ass human person, it kind of has to be!

But he does have some CuteGuy alterego outfits;

I did a whole bunch of different ones, and given the watcher!grian of it all some even have different wings. Though most of those are admitedly just a swatch swap.

Please ignore how bad he looks from this angle but you can also see here the reason for Grian’s-Soul-Having-Mumbo’s hairstyle.

Anyway, can’t make a Poultry Man for the same kind of reason as the lack of pig/potato mumbo; there’s just no content in game or cc i can find that would make that work. (Need a chicken mascot head, basically, but there’s nothing like that anywhere I can find.) Can’t make a watcher!Grian for the same reason - no way to get enough eyes. [i go with a more eldritch angel inspired idea for how watchers look, syk. I’ve also never read ATUS and don’t plan to; my ideas are based on a combination of a) imagination and b) EVO. Also why would watchers cover their eyes......... they. they. they’re Watchers. They need those.]

I think Gem would be one of the easier ones to make (s9 Gem). So she’ll probably be next. Cleo i need to find some medusa snake hair for and some torso damage (because of the giant missing chunk in their side) as well, so that’ll be a while off. But LimLife!Cleo is easier, so she’ll probably be the first Cleo I make. I’ve already got a bunch of 80s athletic gear. Scar.... not sure how to go abt him. Also daunting bc he plays just so much dress up so much all the time so there’s going to be So Many Of Him it’s going to take forever. Cubfan shouldn’t be too hard he’s just like some guy scientist edition and never changes his clothes (as far as I know). Much like DSMP!Sam being a creeper man i’m not really sure how to render Doc given he’s also just a creeper man (with additional cyborg goat elements). Also need a labcoat cc that works for him; open, one arm ripped off, cyborg arm on that side. Really specific shit I just don’t have available unless i make it myself, and I can’t do that. Awkward to deal with; putting off as long as possible. Though i suppose a lot of fanart DocM77 uses in his thumbnails (so, as I see it, accepted as canonical appearance fanart) is a much more humanoid green guy so... I might just go with that for ease. Have everything I need for both Hermit!S9!False & Empires!S2!False, just need to make her (and decide how similar to Lomadia I want her to look. I love making things cross over with each other so it would be really funny if they’re related. To me specifically. Interconnected MC Multiverse my beloved. Every time I see a False fanart I do a double take because my brain is like. Lomadia??? no it’s False. Chronic YogsMC brain at work right there. Also False is just so weird homicidal multiple versions of self that don’t get along she’d fit right in with the YogsMC gang <3. YogLabs experimentation on the nature of Players and Respawn my beloved.)

This is my Lomadia, ftr. If you’ve seen False fanart then you’ll get why I keep confusing the two blondes. Also this outfit is a sort of placeholder. I can’t find anything even remotely like her actual skin’s attire. And I think I’m missing something that can be used to recolour the hair ties... Anyway -

Skizz really shouldn’t be difficult esp LimLife!Red!Skizz. Though i might have to go to some awkward places to get the right cc for him. (mans is really just dressed like an office worker stripper huh.) Either way Skizz wasn’t in Double Life. I’ll have to check for the other two but I think he was there? One less series for me to make though which. Makes it much easier. I’ll be going with the angel headcanon because that gives a reason why he wasn’t in DL (Angels have no soul. Literally. It’s really funny. Soulless [compliment] alskjf;alskdf.)

Etho is literally just straight-up Kakashi Hatake from Naruto. I can probably download a sim of him. It’s highly likely one already exists. Tweak the outfits and I’ll be done. Easiest shit ever. (Like Xisuma is Just Doom Guy and Philza is Just That One Bleach Character I Keep Forgetting The Name Of.) Either that or I take as much artistic licence as physically possible because I find it really really really really really boring when they’re Just Some Pre-Existing Character Design. I hate it actually. Like a lot. Hence ignoring (... mostly) that Joel is Just Human Shrek. I’ll probably - I’ll probably do that. Canonically Etho wore a T-shirt of his own face which is fucking hilarious so i’m going to try and find some naruto merch cc. Also the one and only time I know of Etho changing his character’s skin was DL so I’ll need to do some research to check but keep that in mind even if it isn’t true. And maybe have it be canon to my AU that’s the single time this man ever changed his outfit just because i think that’s so beyond funny. One and only time. Wow. Soulmateism hit him real hard huh. [Joel loves to play dress up... one and only time Etho changed his clothes......]. (I have. Just so many thoughts about how DL soulbonds & mumbo harvesting some of Grian’s soul functioned. Maybe I’ll natter on abt that at some point.)

Mhmmmmm errrr Bdubs isn’t going to be so bad. I’ve got the cc needed right down to the missing tooth so like... it’s just a matter of actually making him. Setting aside the time yk. I actually didn’t know welsknight existed until like two weeks ago so I need to do a) checking if he’s a storyline character or just kinda on the server and if the former then b) some Skin Studying bc I am. Just so blind. And i need to stare at things for far too long in order to actually know and be able to even slightly recall what they look like. But i do have a bunch of armour cc so he wouldn’t be difficult to make. Impulse is only difficult in that his top (t-shirt?) is so specific and I’m so not good at CC creating so i’ll probably be putting him off for ages. Or at least I might make his s9 dwarf sim and then craft the standard ver’s outfits later. Idk. Tango I don’t have... everything. He won’t be very firey if I do make him now so I should probably go see if there is anything even close to fire hair out there. I’ll make usual orange/red Tango first and then the blue Tango of the Tek variety later. I got the perfect torso cc for Ties!Tango. It’s great.

Outside of all that it’s just a matter of like... time and dedication, I guess. And I don’t have much of the former available so we’ll... this project will probably take me years if we’re being real a sec here. Sigh.

I’ve been following your PatPran social media twt ficlet. And I came in here bc I wanted to list my favorite things down:

1. The characterization. The eng crew is so very true to their canon characters (at least how the characters would response to given situations.

2. The friendship dynamics. Again, the eng crew is my favorite. The friendship you wrote is just so natural, no unnecessary meanness towards each other on social media, just the right amount. They will fight each other to death for the last cookie but will also kill for each other, and it’s so apparent in the way you wrote them. I adore them with all my heart 😭

3. InkPa being awesome.

4. Chang using they/them pronouns and being the non-binary rep.

5. The ficlet giving all the characters screen time and importance and not just revolving around PatPran.

6. And last, the Wai slander 🫡 (will never forgive canon wai for victimizing himself and outing PatPran)

Well, I'm a communication student, and I'm a bit sad for Harry.

He's 27 nearly 28, I'm sure he wants a more mature fandom. I mean, I was watching the lives from the BBC for HS1, and I was like, stop screaming like little girls please, I just want to enjoy the show. (after it went better).

I know he's a grown man. But I'm not sure that he's involved in the all-long process of the communication, of course, he has words to say, but in the end, it's not his job, that's why Full Stop mgmt and Sony are here.

But, from what I see, it feels like, they want him to stay with a young fan base. I get why. They will jump into everything H does, always be on his side even if he does smthg wrong. But they take the humanity of H away. It's easier to get money with them, and it's not a critic, it's normal, (but I won't get into the sociological part, but it's quite interesting)

This is what I'm hoping for him:

- Get back to his roots and find another mgmt maybe in the UK, Ik the US is easier 'cause this is where everything happened, but it's also very toxic. Maybe, find another label record too, an independent one?

- Maybe, do more things like NPR, there are others that he can do like ''Colors'' or even in France there's some kind of concepts like this (yeah I'm French that's why), or the MTV unplugged because it shows the artist that he is and not the image that his team and the media want to paint.

- Same for the interview, I'm sure he's a smart guy, and he can find interviewers/media where they speak about music and other stuff around without bringing every time his private and love life. Be more deep. It will help him, get more relaxed, maybe letting go a bit and get away from the image of the "womanizer" man. And definitely, it will help him get a more mature fandom and be seen by the gp like a grown man and not like a 16 years old boy.

I believe that an artist can be where he is right now and where he might want to be without doing all this shit. It will take more time, but I think it's worth it.

I came because I like Harry's music and 'cause I think he is very talented and has something that he needs to develop. But there are so many gossips, which is annoying, and it covers a big part of his creativity and talents. It's sad for him.

You can hire me if you want lol (but not too long 'cause I want to be a singer lol)

request: hihi i was wondering if you can do a continuation of the bringing their kids to practice with some of the other haikyuu characters? i’d love to see it with kageyama especially but honestly you can pick anyone! thank you :)

a/n: i AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG... I have no excuses, i was too sad about haikyuu e wording but i have read threads on how to write characters on twitter and i am thriving... so n e ways i was looking for a reason to write more of these because i just... love the idea of this so tsym for requesting!! if i write more parts, i might do hoshiumi, hinata, atsumu, and... maybe oikawa? i’m a huge bokuto stan so his might be longer than kageyamas im sorry <3 and and ik that kageyama goes to italy but for the sake of i want to write other characters, i will be using the adlers oops. i will also be only doing probably two characters per post for these because i write so much for it. He had brought Kaori into post game interviews before but you were always there so this would really be the first time he’d take care of her by himself for a period of time longer than an hour

It had been a while and he had actually shown to you that he could take care of her by himself so you were fine with him taking her to practice

How he has so much energy goes beyond everyone but it’s fun to watch

You lectured him for half an hour about what he should do in certain situations and unlike most times, he listened really well because :(( the baby cares about Kaori

Both Kaori and him actually walked with you to the train station and saw you off before heading to practice !!

He normally drives to practice because he has a super nice car and it’s easier to drive with Kaori instead of public transportation

When they get to the gym, he goes running in with Kaori on his shoulders

“WE HAVE ARRIVEEEED!!!!!!!!”

cue Hinata cheering super loudly

Kaori’s giggling and being all cute omg i love her

She was being carried in on her dad’s shoulders so Bo lets her down and she immediately runs (read: waddles quickly) to Hinata

Hinata starts crying-- jk, no

He goes “Kaori-chan!” and scoops her up in his beefy arms

At one point at practice during a break, she stole Atsumu’s water and was running around the gym with him chasing her

He was ofc not actually chasing her cause he found it cute that she was trying to steal his stuff

Lol Sakusa being like “oh, you can’t catch up to a child? are your knees getting bad, old man?”

Atsumu’s like “bro, we’re the same age”

Sakusa ignores him

She ends up TRIPPInG AND ATSUMU’s LIke “Oh fuck”

SHE CRIES

omg Bokuto’s like “tsum tsum-- do you want to die 👁👄👁🗡” because she just got hurt because of him

Atsumu picks her up and is apologizing so god damn much

This is the first time anyone’s seen Bokuto remotely irritated

Kaori: WAAAHHHH

Atsumu: please, child... i don’t want to die today... please... shhhhhhh

He lets her down and she walks (read: waddles) over to her dad and is giving him puppy eyes omg

Practice starts and Sho’s just sitting on the gym floor with a volleyball in his hands cause he

Kags just giving newborn Sho a volleyball and expecting him to become acquainted

It worked

Sho’s used to holding onto volleyballs and even tries to hit it but everytime he did, he’d fall backwards onto his lil bum and would be like :(

Kageyama watching from the other side of the gym and his heart just goes AHHHHHHHHHH

He’s about to cry that is the cutest thing he’s ever seen

Sho making sure he doesn’t interrupt practice!!! and like chasing after the ball to make sure it doesn’t go onto the courts!!!

He’s literally whipping his head from Sho to his coach and has this desperate look on his face

Only like two minutes later, Sho stops sniffling and is like “!!! go back to practice daddy!!”

Kags does and he can’t focus on Sho anymore cause his coach would yell at him asldfjlsf

At the end of practice, Sho is like “dad i wanna play voweyball!!!!!!” and Kags heart just CLENCHES

He grabs his heart like that meme or smth

You call them cause you know when practice normally ends and Sho’s just talking a lot and it’s so cute

He’s super excited and you’re like !!! My CUTE CHILD !!!!

Dear My Candy Love...

19/03/2012 (d/m/y) I created my first and only account in my candy love (amor doce), when I was eleven years old. Now, nine years later, the series is about to end and I have mixed feelings about it. It's bittersweet to see something you love become "weird", as if it is not for you anymore, but I realize the game was not meant to grow with us.

When I played it for the first time, I could see myself in Candy even though I was not in High School. And that is what the game is about. Most of the things she said, did or even suffered I could relate, but now as a college student I can't say the same. Not only because it is too fictional, but how the game limits us and it becomes less something about choices and more about simply dating... And it is okay, because this is what the teens expect about life.

In HSL, me and Candy had the same struggles: making friends; dealing with bullying and some serious, yet not extreme, topics; understanding our own feelings; and even school projects were a little similar. All the boys were somehow interesting for us, in their own ways, personalities and hobbys. It was a little stereotypical, yes, and yet so fun! When all friends gathered together at Iris' house I felt that so deep and cool and in real life I was doing the same thing!

In 2018 University Life launched and with it the worst choice by beemov: change the AP system. Also, the second worst choice came and I was shook: change 3/5 of the LIs. The most popular ones, Nath and Cass, stayed and it is no surprise, but Armin, Lysandre and Kentin just went poof. Do not get me wrong, I know things like that happen all the time, but some people literally paid so they could have clothes, images and even action figures of their favorite LIs. I consider this the start of the downfall, and I know many people do too.

I did not play UL until 2019, when I got accepted in College, and... well, it is bad. Here on tumblr the community created their own OCs from the game, and seeing so many personalities and choices I knew UL would not live up to this. It is hard for a game to have this many possibilities, but after years and years of HSL I really think it was just beemoov's laziness. UL is a money maker, LL as well, and I am not afraid to say that. The game did not stepped up on anything, the writing did not grow and the extreme slow pacing (if you don't buy APs) makes UL and LL "experience" something close to watch a slice of bread mold.

The new LIs aren't a problem to me, except Hyun 'cause that outfit is just horrendous and he wears it 24/7 (just imagine a Mc Donalds worker using the uniform always). I just can't relate anymore to Candy, and her story is not thrilling. I am in episode 14 and basically nothing relevant happened, except finally kissing my LI. Priya and Hyun are so boring as just friends, while Nath has a truly dramatic plot and Cassy, well, he is even more charming as a true rockstar. Candy, Rosa and Armin became a friendship painful to watch, as they just text to talk about study and even if it is something more than that it is forgettable (ik Rosa suffered, I am talking about before that, and by the way it is a crime they did not give us any image of the three together at Rosa's apartment lol). A total of one image (the one from ep 9, so it is just.... well, a dream) feature Chani, and she is basically an angel and the best girl for helping Candy since day one. To summarize, nothing really matters except our crush... and for a old game with a strong playerbase, it could be more than just a dating simulator.

I did not play LL, but.... damn, I kinda don't want to so I cannot say much to be honest.

So, just to wrap it up: personally, I think the game didn't really grow to pace with us, older players, but if the player is still young it is very enjoyable - specially HSL. I might cry enough to fill up a bucket when it is officially over hahaha (even tho I will truly play the final episode next year due this stupid ap system djsdjsd)

Just to add: I am truly grateful for all the love I received here, from followers to drawings and asks! Thank you! I will not delete this Tumblr, probably just make it something more personal (I slowly am by reposting things from other games lol)

I feel I cannot express myself enough in my second language, so I will cut here and everything else is in Portuguese.

DESGRAÇA de empresa fudida ruim do caralho estragou o jogo que eu amei desde os meus onze anos INFERNOOOOOOOO

O HSL é lindo do jeito que é, mesmo com seus defeitos. Jogar o UL é comparável a comer um tijolo, nem consigo imaginar o LL e talvez a cria de 6 cabeças que vai ser o próximo jogo da beemoov. Todo o orçamento do UL/LL foi pro Eldarya e ngm vai me provar o contrário.......

O UL dá um sentimento de fanfic escrita por uma menina de 14 anos: nenhum personagem secundário importa, nenhum evento é relevante para a história e tudo ronda em um relacionamento rushado.

Mas a real é que o jogo já não é mais pras pré-históricas como eu que esperam um plot coerente em tudo... Mas que o HSL é mais bem elaborado que o UL e LL juntos é inegável.

Chani foi injustiçada para um caralho qnd a beemoov nao botou a lenda em nenhuma imagem real no UL. Carregou a do7 nas costas desde o ep 1 junto com a outra lenda Yeleen.

A Ambre, a garota do saco de batatas, amadureceu mais que a docete... outra lenda, mas essa ao menos apareceu em algumas imagens.

Kim não ser um LI nao faz sentido com a minha fantasia....

Acho que é isso....... Estou em estado catatônico e só um novo Dragon Age pra me reviver.
