Last Thing

While I was trying to figure out if Zam actually was a little too big, I noticed that there's this little "tail" hanging off the left cup of his headphones to make it look like a speech balloon.

I've literally never noticed it before, but it's apparently been there since the very beginning.

I dunno how, but I've just never internalized this detail until now, but it's super cute, isn't it?

Oda needs to stop fooling around and give Kyros a legit prosthetic leg instead of letting him hop around. One that looks like Shiki's but I don't think he would want that because it'll completely ruin the the floor boards. Maybe a customizable prosthetic leg? That'll look cool, also the running blade ones are pretty helpful in running, i dunno if they're suitable for long distance walks though, or maybe just a normal prosthetic leg with a joint (Rebecca brought it to him and he never stopped crying about it since) at least now he can finally walk around with his daughter without seeming like he's constantly hopping on a pogo stick

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? There are two things you need to know, here.

First: There’s a style of Greek pottery that was popular during the Hellenic period, for which most of the surviving examples are from southern Italy. We call them ‘fish plates’ because, well, they’re plates, and they’re decorated with fish (and other marine life).

They’re very cool. We’re not 100% sure what they were for, because most of the surviving ones were found as grave goods, but that’s a different post.

The second thing you need to know is that when we (Classics/archaeology/whatever as a discipline) have a collection of artefacts, like vases, sculptures, paintings, etc. and we do not know the name of the artist, but we’re pretty sure one artist made X, Y and Z artefacts, we come up with a name for that artist. There are a whole bunch of things that could be the source for the name, e.g. where we found most of their work (The Dipylon Master) or the potter with whom they worked (the Amasis Painter), a favourite theme (The Athena Painter), the Museum that ended up with the most famous thing they did (The Berlin Painter) or a notable aspect of their style. Like, say, The Eyebrow Painter.
