Hello! I really really really loved the game and I'm so excited how it'll continue!!

I've got a question; do the LIs have a specific type they tend to go for? Not necessarily look wise, maybe they feel attracted to certain personalities? I'm asking bc this game feels way more than "the LIs are always into MC" generic thing and it makes me so excited how fleshed out the characters are!

Thank you!! I'm really happy it feels that way. I do think I have the game set up in a way where your LI of choice will be attracted to you if you pick them, BUT the key thing here is how you define your relationship with them, if that makes sense.

Like, sure, you'll end up dating Vincenzo at some point, but will you let him push you around like a dog? Would you turn around and abuse Him? Or would you become the best thing that's ever happened to him, the soothing salve that makes him forget the pain he's endured? You'll also have unique influence in their decision making... You can push them into really dangerous decision making, and they might even do the same to you.

For your question, I would like to preface this first with the fact that the MC is a "unique" influence in their lives... so they won't necessarily be the ones the LIs would usually "go for." In fact, they'd be surprised at how much someone like MC managed to touch them... The MC is not going to be a regular partner. They're spouse material. ;)

BUT! I'd also like to answer this question, because I wanna talk about their fucking dumpster fire love lives...

Vincenzo usually goes older, bigger men, usually very cruel men. He loves getting hurt over and over, until it culminates in them killing each other, or the other man's life is in complete ruins that it's just more amusing to leave him like that & check up on him once in a while.

Crux likes both genders, though he tends to go for cute girls a lot. He loves people he can have fun with and do crazy shit with. Gung-ho, try anything once attitudes. I will say though, he also likes grumpy/stuck-up types he can annoy and win over. He generally dates people he can have fun with, then he never gets personal with them and they just lose their minds until he dumps them when he's bored. (He's awful, lol.)

Black usually gets with rugged men... not by choice, LMAO. It's just because he's too awkward to talk to women. He has really "masculine" hobbies and ends up in circles with men. I will say, I think he really likes confident, sunnier personalities. They really make him feel flustered.

🎁 If you could give any of the ensemble cats a song, who would it be? What would it be about?

You would think I answered these questions to myself as I wrote them, but I Did Not Do That so i had to think about this one.

FIRST immediate reaction: MUNKUSTRAP! I think a song where the tribe surprises him by singing about how much he cares about everyone and how they all love him would be very cute. But I don't really think it would... I don't know, serve the story, I guess? That kind of thing seems like the type of song to happen at/after a climax and Cats has a lot going on at that point. Also I like that the two main magical cats USUALLY (glares at bway revival) are the only ones who dont sing their own songs at all.

Also I feel like such a song would be terribly similar to old d which might not be desirable. Plus, you know... munk's the narrator. The MC. it seems almost wrong for him to have his own song, as much as he deserves to have his Moment.

SECOND REACTION: the psychic twins! It's kind of funny to me how they're both plot relevant (sniffing out old deut, helping jemima) but the specifics of what their deal is is never specified. All we really know about them is that they're 'psychic', whatever that specifically is intended to mean. I'm imagining a kind of moody mysterious number, like the older version of M&R.

Actually given that thought it would kind of be cute if the criminal twins sang it. the psychic twins start up like 'we have abilities that any cat would have--' and jerrie and teazer jump in like 'THESE BITCHES READ MINDS' and they then go back and forth, leaving the audience unsure if the psychic twins are downplaying their abilities or the criminal twins are over exaggerating them, and a lot of their mysteriousness still holds fast after the song is over.

THIRD REACTION: you know those hcs that George from 98 is actually a dog who thinks he's a cat? Tbh I think a song about a silly dog who believes he's a cat would fit well in TS Eliot's book, not just the play, and it could be a fun silly number. every time one of the kittens starts to say 'but he's really a dog right?' or anything to that effect they get SHUUUUUSHED by the whole ensemble before they can say 'the d word'

I HAVE A LOT but I do love misto & munk. Misto being munk's little helper when he's a younger version of himself (and his Other Second In Command when he's older) are so cute. and you so rarely see a version of cats where the two don't seem to have a notable relationship.

Misto and Victoria being siblings crept up on me. When I first got into Cats I kinda shipped them, but nowadays they're my little ballet cat sibs. They wuv each other.

The Jellicle Choice is heavily influenced by age. You're pretty much never going to see a young Jellicle Choice, but all the young characters sing about themselves on the ball anyways, just bc they like taking the opportunity to brag while they have an audience. (note that there are pretty much no younger-cat songs that happen while Deuteronomy is present, and Munk's personal Jelly Choice is Jenny, who's also older).

(Deuteronomy deliberately shows up to the ball a little late every year to give the Youths some time to wear each other out and have fun.)

Time to talk about why Henry is Hash Tag Like That.

This video by the pop culture detective will give you the basis of what we're talking about, but it sorta skirts actually discussing the type of person who would Intentionally go about romancing someone they have so much influence and control over, this is not a critique of the video and Is just a different perspective on the topic.

Now originally this post was going to start with a bunch of coddling, but ima jump right into it and save myself the word count, bc this is already like 1k words.

The underlying personality of a character (cough cough also the writers usually cough cough) who would want to or actively seek to date someone who is completely naive but still physically mature looks a bit like this:

They will be adamant about it not being their fault they are single. nobody will date them because they are too [select all that apply: Weird, Cool, Normal, Busy, Nice, Talented,] or because [select all that apply: Women Are All Enigmas Playing an Elaborate Game With Mens Hearts, Society, Women Only Like Assholes, (other incel talking points here)]

they have a need to feel above their SO, this might look like a savior complex, or it might look like having to always be one or two steps ahead of the SO in everything they do.

They will want to be the center of the SOs world. A normal person would be eager to introduce the newly minted naive SO to as many people as they could, just to help the SO learn how to socialize and to take some of the burden of teaching them off of themselves.

They will have a need to be seen as the Best. they dont want a mature adult partner, they want a golden retriever who looks like a super model. Someone who will worship the ground they walk on, usually because the SO has nothing to compare them too.

If you met a person in real life who acted or thought like this you could be forgiven for assuming they were trying to talk in semaphore with all those red flags they are waving.

The Pygmalion takes this one step further, he didn't just Find a perfectly blank slate woman who would love him no matter what,

he made her. 

The Pygmalion is the absolute extreme of this trope. They will go the furthest to avoid ever having to address what makes them unlikable and will often present themselves and their plights as not just no fault of their own, but as the direct fault of another person's, usually a specific past partner. 

Henry is the absolute least forgiving depiction of a Pygmalion I could cobble together. and the three muses that came before Adonis are the easiest way to illustrate that.

This next bit ia written using a very specific type of unreliable narrator you often see in these sorts of stories, where the MC's perspective and beliefs tint the word choices. Read carefully.

He blames his first muse's death on her. She shouldn't have taken that tone of voice with him, she shouldn't have lied about who she was talking too, she shouldn't have lied about not loving him anymore, she shouldn't have tried to leave. If she had only listened to him, the more mature and knowledgeable one, he wouldn't have gotten so angry and she would have never chocked on those razors. 

His second muse was far better than her, in fact he was damn near Perfect. he was young and unspoiled and willing to listen to and do whatever henry said. He had never been tempted, touched or taught the wrong sort of things. Henry was his everything, his mentor And his lover and the one who kept him off the street. But Henry's traitorous brother stole him away. Said such awful things about how their relationship was disgusting. That henry was a monster for taking in and caring for his muse instead of leaving him to die in the street before he was even old enough to drive.

The third was the worst. She was the one that destroyed henry and made him swear off human love. She had smashed all the sculptures he dedicated to her, all the projects he had finished for her, all her art he had gotten into museums for her under his name. She was ungrateful and horrid. And she had grown disgusting and ugly following the birth of Henry's truest muse. His daughter who this Wretched witch had stolen away following one light bit of discipline. His daughters arm had healed just fine, the witch was just too soft and their daughter was going to grow up just like her if Henry hadn't stepped in.

In all of those examples Henry's wrongdoings were intentionally obfuscated to make him seem like the good guy, to intentionally set someone else up as the villain coming between henry and his happiness. in Pygmalion stories, and in almost all bsy stories, this sort of narrative voice is used unintentionally to make you feel sorry for the Pygmalion and to want to like and side with him despite the reality of the situation. I went for some Very obvious and egregious examples to really show how effective this sort of narrative voice can be. if you want a better written example read Lolita, and then every review that calls it a love story to get a very good picture of how this works and how effective it can be (lolita is psyche horror about pedophilia, not a cute romance,)

tldr:

The Pygmalion and the Born Sexy Yesterday tropes are Rife with squicky elements bc a lot of people who write them do not realize how vile their characters sound if you look at the at any angle other than the the one they want you too

 a lot of the time the use of this trope is a Great insight into the minds of the people who use it without really thinking about the implications

both tropes are some incel shit

Bullet-pointed predictions I have for each of the new 3 routes

For like an in-depth prediction I did of Muriel’s one a couple months back see this old thing

So a huge commonality in the first three’s arcs (as I mention in that linked post) is reconnecting with family (both found and blood) and so I first and foremost think that this will be present in each LI’s route; I’ll go into more detail on what I think this will look like for each of them individually, plus upright/reversed end speculation based on the definitions for their patron arcana.

***Spoilers for Muriel, Portia and Lucio’s routes so far and references to Nadia, Asra and Julian’s routes***

I’ll start with Muriel because I’ve already talked to his route the most and I think it’ll be the easiest place to start!

Muriel:

The role of family in his route:

Obviously as we’ve seen so far, Muriel has a lot of unresolved feelings of abandonment, shame, self-loathing and loneliness associated with his family and the fact that they’ve abandoned him. 

He’s already had the very beginnings of opening up to MC in his last book (The Hermit - very fitting), and he will perhaps continue to do so

I think a central theme for his story will be reconnecting with his family and hearing their perspective on what happened for two reasons: firstly because of one of the options for MC’s response to this discusses that he actually doesn’t know his parent’s reasoning and that maybe they Did want him, and the second relates to Nadia’s route and her arc with reconnecting with her sisters

In her route, similarly she vents about how annoying and patronising her sisters were throughout her life and you can either agree or posit that maybe they were just trying to help/showing they cared about her (reversed vs upright choice)

I’m also hoping he generally creates a stronger support network - I think at least Portia, Nadia and Asra (and maaayyyybe even Morga but that might be pushing it) will end up helping him and MC in the confrontation with the devil at the end - just based on who we’ve seen interacting with him the most in positive ways so far

Upright meaning: Look inside yourself for the answers you seek. Take time for introspection in the days ahead.

He’ll recover from his trauma, recognise himself as a person who is deserving of love and support and who has Needs (including like. a bed. lol.)

Honestly I don’t have a lot else to say ‘cept that bc I said it already so kjaefjef check my aforementioned post if you want More for my favourite man

Reversed meaning: Be wary of retreating too far within your own mind. Others still have valuable things to share.

He decides that he needs to handle the confrontation with the devil alone - probably erring more on the side of self-sacrifice than anything else and/or seeing his sacrifice as just (still blaming himself for his trauma, he believes that his only way to “Redemption” is by falling on his own sword, so-to-speak)

Portia:

Oof, Portia’s a tricky one so far.

The role of family in her route:

So, obviously she has a lot of baggage with Julian. Some of this is hinted at just around her arcana’s definitions, but I’ll get to that soon.

She’s a compulsive secret-hoarder and collects information about everyone around her. I think this is probably a hang-up that she has around control - or loss of it. She doesn’t have security or wealth or even anyone to permanently look after her/mentor her (Julian left and Lilinka - her adoptive grandmother - passed away leaving her to fend largely for herself).

I think that information is the one thing she feels that she has control over, because so much of her life has been out of her hands (and also just chasing Julian around trying to clean up his messes)

She’s literally a head servant as her job -so much of her life is being told what to do and also telling others what to do. I think she fears loss of control in her life, but she’s also never been in a position where she’s been able to be an active agent and do things just because she wants to do them. 

She craves validation, safety, and support and that’s why she found herself in this employment role with Nadia - and even then in Nadia’s route (and her own), she’s terrified that Nadia will abandon her in a heartbeat - even though she literally nursed her for years and has been nothing but loyal. Girl has some Mad abandonment issues

Edit: Portia ultimately blames herself for the people around her leaving and thinks that people will only stay if she can be useful in some way - hence why she so doggedly pursues Julian's innocence because she thinks the only chance she has of him staying is if she can literally fix his mess

Largely I think her arc with her family will be about her feeling emboldened to be honest about her feelings and letting Julian know in a meaningful way how much his absence impacted her, but also realising that she Actually Can lean on Mazelinka (who she obviously loves but has made Many excuses as to why she’s too busy to see her - probably again a thing of “if I control when and where I see you, then I can’t get hurt in this relationship”), Nadia, and probably also Asra and some of the other servants even?

Upright meaning:  Believe in your inner light. You may have endured great hardship, but it only makes you shine brighter.

Idk man lol this is honestly quite vague. 

I think this will prolly be a similar thing to Muriel - just specifically confronting that Yes, she’s had a hard time of it but she shouldn’t let that impact her quality of life

Also probably a lot of stuff around her realising she’s worthy of love as a person and that the people who love her won’t abandon her

Reversed meaning:  Now is not the time to despair. Keep believing and let your star shine bright. The world needs you

Again.... aefkjfkae...... very vague.....

I think she won’t be able to let go of her fear of abandonment generically - or alternatively will perhaps? Try to bargain with the devil? I could see a similar thing happening with her that happened in Nadia’s reversed end - perhaps she believes she can save the world/MC by offering her servitude to the devil and being beholden to him? This is Fully a reach, I honestly have no idea :P

Lastly, Lucio:

Don’t worry, I’m not dunking on him lol. I don’t like him but that doesn’t mean I don’t have Thoughts about his route.

The role of family in his route:

Well. This one is clearly quite literally maybe the messiest out of these three (I mean that literally, in terms of, the amount of blood lol)

Obviously, he has a lot of baggage with both of his parents. I’ll disclaimer and say that I personally don’t see Morga as abusive - that doesn’t mean people can’t - but I’m making speculations specifically about their relationship just based on the in-game context clues we have and nothing else

As a person, Lucio is ultimately obsessed with power and attaining it. He’s clearly insecure and is desperate for any sort of validation, which is made messier by his natural sense of entitlement. This combination means that he chronically chases power, thinking that leadership means being able to do whatever you want to do with no consequences (e.g. in his route and also in Nadia’s when he briefly discusses killing people as count/countess) - and especially he thinks that if he has the power, the wealth, and the status then he’ll get the validation that he desperately craves. 

As count, he throws lavish parties and spends a lot of time with the vagabonds in the south end - trying to win petty devotion and admiration with meaningless shows of wealth meanwhile his people are starving and suffering in the flooded district. He just wants to be popular at the end of the day, he doesn’t care about actual leadership or using his power for good, unselfish reasons. He claims his people love him, but it’s hollow, ornamental love based upon flash, not substance

Morga as a parent is harsh - she’s critical and derisive at times, but it’s also clear that she does love her son (specifically how she says she spoiled him by never letting him get hurt). Lucio as a teenager grew up somewhat spoiled and expected that power would fall to him by virtue of heritage from his mother when he came of age. 

I think that Lucio didn’t get what he needed from Morga necessarily as a kid, and as a result he craved that first position of power because he saw it as a source of validation he hadn’t previously had - and when it was denied him, he became resentful and even murderous towards his parents. 

Woof, long fucking paragraph. I do think that Morga and Lucio will end up reconciling in his route somehow. I think it’s central to his character and to filling the void inside of him that he learns that you can’t buy people’s love - also just because his whole story and entry into the world was sparked by that essential conflict with his mother. I think it would feel weird narratively if that weren’t at least addressed - whether or not it ends in reconciliation

Upright meaning:  Shake off his veil: you are not trapped. There is always a way out of even the darkest places.

I think that this will be a redemption arc for Lucio. I think that in order for him to be redeemed he’ll have to relinquish the devil’s influence over him - which will involve addressing the wrong he’s done and apologising/trying to atone for it (whether or not other LIs accept his apology is another thing - as they all have very valid reasons not to)

I think the “way out of the darkness” for Lucio is in giving up his quest for power. He will learn that it’s ok to just be Lucio as a person, that he can be vulnerable and responsible for himself, and that people will love him as he is and not for the way he throws his money around

Reversed meaning:  It is time to clean house: purge the things that harm you from your life. Take back your power.

Now this literally includes the sentence “take back your power” so. whoomp there it is. Lucio can’t let go of his power-hunger and becomes even more selfish and self-righteous.

I think also unfortunately this will mean he will literally probably kill some if not all of the other LIs, and also (especially) his mother. He will see anything that challenges his power as opposition to be removed, and he will rule (alongside the devil? who knows) in chaos and blood.

Ookey!! kajefnkae glad I got that out of my system. If I missed anything/if people have their own ideas/thoughts I’d love to hear them! Have this giant essay lol, we’ll see if anything I predicted comes true in the next several dozen updates eh? B)

2) what makes my blood boil so much is the fact that people are bashing jihyun and his route for being boring because of their thirst and not even thinking about how to help him :) for me jihyun's route was much better than any route they've done before, he got his time to understand how toxic his relationship was and this is what is the main reason for the routes. helping them to be better doesn't need love lol

my top routes has been yoosung n v route bc they feel the best paced/written to include both the mint eye stuff and also a reasonable time stamp for Mc to have a relationship w them haha 

saeran route would have been great had they allowed MC a choice to decline a relationship, and continue the game as a platonic partner. but i reckon the fan feedback about how “boring” v route was influenced how saeran’s relationship feels rushed and

omg yes i have, sahana!!! thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to talk about it because i really love ajin a lot and???? there’s not enough people who has actually seen the show, so all my thoughts are buried inside. im assuming that youve watched it too, if you’re asking about my opinion :o if so, go ahead to read bc lots of spoilers and such! if not, tread carefully.

i really really like the fact that our mc is first shown to have a normal school life that got messed up after a car accident. in a way, it should be fortunate that he still lives after going through a fatal car accident, but the fact is that everyone ends up shunning him and there’s a bounty on him simply bc of something that he cannot control and he ends up having to run for his life even though he didnt ask for it. i just really like the idea that he literally didnt know that he is an ajin until the incident, and his life really did turn upside down – both in terms of his own identity & his daily life.

i also really enjoy nagai kei as a character? he’s an asshole, and sassy with a sharp tongue and intelligent. and although he doesnt particularly have a strong body / good at physical activities, he makes it up with his brains and quick thinking. moreover, i really enjoy how apathetic he is as a character. he literally doesnt care about anyone other than himself. i still remember that bit where a nice human tried to help kei but when he died, all he thought was ‘aww, he died. time to run i guess’. he doesnt care and i think he’s very fascinating to watch!

the fact that his character also influences his ibm is also something that i appreciate. which the sass and how dick-ish he is, it makes sense that even his ibm will refuse to listen to him. 

furthermore, his r/s with the other characters are fun to watch too; he treats them so differently! we see how he appreciates kaito and pushes him away at the same time, bc despite the fact that he’s cold to many, he very clearly does care about kaito ( who won’t tbh? he’s such a sweetheart and i really cant wait to see him show up again in the manga ). and then there’s kou, where he constantly sighs bc kou is such a dumb and he cannot deal with his stupidity. the moments where he simply just disregards the naivety of his words (eg here) is absolutely hilarious to watch.

it doesnt help that his voice actor is mamo-chan and we both know how much i love him. usually his characters are either the popular, charismatic ( ouran’s tamaki ) or a completely joke / crazy ( tg’s tsukiyama ) and hearing him act as kei is very different from what he usually does and i really enjoyed the constant irritation in his voice!

if im talking about characters i cannot not talk about satou because as much as i love kei, the star of the series is undoubtedly satou. villains whose motives are simply to have fun have been done maybe a thousand times and usually it ends up making the villains dull, and evil for the sake of being evil. but satou is different! firstly, how often do you see a villain be an old man? and for once, i actually get how charismatic a villain is. his ploy… pushing the wheelchair… announcing to the entire world that he’s an ajin and with tear-filled eyes, tells the world how cruel ajin are being treated… it’s the fact that he’s an old man that makes it even more convincing.

not to mention, if kei is smart, satou is insane. ive never seen an anime character as old as satou have that much agility. and heck, he uses the fact that he’s an ajin to do absolutely crazy things. literally killing himself in order to play the game. okay this part is only in the manga, but heck, he literally cut his own hand and made them into like chicken wings to be sent to the location where he will infiltrate next and then throw himself into the shredder or whatever it is so that his body will start forming where his biggest body part is– ie his hands. that is downright crazy. and then there’s this!!

there are so many moments where i legit just covered my mouth because of the mind games kei and satou are having and how they outsmart each other in ways that are utterly inconceivable. so yee i really like it a lot! 

i also particularly like the discussion of ‘what is death’ for ajin, who essentially cannot die. it brings up a whole new perspective. because arent you the same person if you have the exact same memories and experiences? but there comes a discussion that since your brain is where your thought processes and memories are and hence the very thing that forms your own individuality… if your head gets destroyed and its a different brain that is doing the thinking… arent you already dead? and you’re an entirely different person now.

which makes satou even more of a beast, bc he literally doesnt care if he did die in the ajin way. he just wants to have fun. and for that, he doesnt care if his comrades even betrays him because he’ll just see it as another obstacle – a new difficulty in his game.

lots of people dont watch ajin bc of the choice in 3d animation which i agree can be jarring and awkward to watch at first but once you get used to it i dont think its that bad. but then again, recently i came to realise that i dont really care that much for aesthetics because apparently some people do care a lot. but what i do care about is characterisation & plot. but either way i liked the choice in 3d animation. its because i think using 3d to animate ibm is a good choice and for them to go all the way in using 3d in the characters and such would make the ibms look more natural.

there are so many things that really appeal to me in this series particularly the way it treats its characters. and i only talked about two so far but uh i should probably stop here haha. oh and i really appreciate izumi and her backstory!

Regarding WTNC’s rating: I followed them from the start, too. still, the FAQ / About said “rating yet undecided”, nothing about possible nsfw.

It’s important to be clear about it to protect anyone who doesn’t want to play a game that’s 18+.

They also took a long time to put content warning on their page, even after I asked them to, back when anon ask was enabled.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m happy that they added warnings, but it’s important for precise warnings to be clearly accessible! From the start!

Just as it is important for creators to actually have a good feedback culture. 

You need to listen to people to get rid of problematic content (racism, stereotypes, …) and not just brush over criticism with an “if they don’t like it we don’t want them here”. 

No. Content creators, especially adults, have a responsibility towards their audience bc media influences people. 

Warnings also communicate that the creator realizes the content is problematic without endorsing it; you CAN tell a story about racism, homophobia, manipulation and all kinds of shit if you warn about it in the first place and, in a visual novel, if you give the main character different options to respond.

Take the first chapter of WTNC, for example: The mind invasion scene would be less problematic in the game if they had a big, fat “manipulation” warning before and if the MC had a choice how to feel about it.

It’s strange how attacking a hunter with creature-abilities isn’t a dead sentence for every creature, or even something that’s adressed. Especially in a game in which the MC is killing everything that poses a threat without a secont thought.

For another example, let’s say the MC needs to do their job as a hunter. A  choice like “I don’t care about the creatures I hunt, they’re monsters” or “I wish there were another way, but sadly, there isn’t” could help make the game much better.

This has never been about dissing or bullying the devs; this is me expression sadness and frustration about a team that’s not taking opportunities to learn and better the content they created, resulting in problematic, hurtful stuff that can be avoided.

Nobody expects the game to be perfect, it’s not about that. As a content creator myself, I know that’s impossible.

This is about refusing and bitching about criticism / help in making the (diverse, inclusive, not-actively-harmful) game you promised your audience in the first place.

If someone tells a content creator there’s a problem, that’s a chance for them to grow, even if it’s simply to reflect that they made a choice for a good reason. If creators brush over criticism, that’s a choice, too, and one we have to accept; what we don’t have to is stay silent.

This is also why it’s important to talk about hurtful content: to educate others, to warn others, to give others a voice, to inform others that yes, we, too, see those problems and don’t blindly or silently approve of the content.

Because not saying anything sends a message, too.

the moment you do that is the moment you destroy all credibility of that character, cuz how do we know what the MC feels about them from now on isn’t just mind control? You just stated this character can and will destroy the MC’s ability to think and make decisions because it’s convenient to him.

in real-life terms, it’s akin to Finnegan drugging the MC w/o their consent “because they wont be upset when they’re high” but even more insiduous because there’s no having to go through the trouble of drugging them, he can literally just do it.

a - ships that you currently like a lot. (they don’t have to be otps because not everyone has otps.) friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.

the otp atm is obviously komahina, it’s incomparable for me, i’ve been in rare otp fandoms for years so it’s like being enveloped by a fresh sea breeze when i got into it, it’s the most popular ship in dr, has the most fan content where the good ones outweighs the bad ones, and their relationship was fulfilling, it’s also the closest otp of mine that has reached canon.

other ones i love a lot right now are:

dr ships: hinata/servant (it’s komahina but i’m so invested in this dynamic in particular and there’s almost no content for it), kamukura/komaeda, kaede/miu, tenko/mikan, kirigiri/sayaka, touko/komaru, sonia/akane, lowkey shinguuji/amami and pekoyama/koizumi

after sasaki’s death, rather than going with the shinsengumi or military in general i want nobume to stay with the yorozuya

nobume becomes a transfer student in 3Z and wears a black sailor uniform with long skirts, sports a nailed bat, and an honor student. sasaki adopted her from young age and is the most doting father ever during the festivals and always cheering for her, “yes that’s my elite daughter, nobume-san” i teared up. kagura, on the other hand, had a growth spurt in the middle of their third year so she looks like her yorozuya movie design with her glasses up and taller than nobume.

i have a hc how komaeda/hinata/kamukura would look like as girls too

komaeda: has a long messy hair, wears the same clothing as the regular one (pants and not those sexy short shorts with thigh highs and garter belt, regular komaeda would wear that though ;) ), petite and still 180 cm

hinata: same hair, around 165 cm, regular bust size and has strong arms that can carry her tall gf, pretty packed, wears skirts with suspenders

kamukura: same features as hinata but her long hair is tied in a low ponytail, then same clothing
