Tumgik
#also lol i used this tweet as a playlist title for YEARS so i guess now i have to add S&C to the playlist- not a pity it's a goood song

Watching the hbomberguy video finally (it's long and I didn't have time previously) and I just had such a bizarre experience.
Because I used to know Illuminaughty. Or rather, I'd heard of her in passing. I used to keep "people reading Reddit posts" videos on as background noise (and yes, I know it's low effort shit and I fell off at some point, but hey. It was a fad) and she came up in a playlist and I watched half a video before switching to something else, mainly because I disliked her presentation, it's difficult to explain and it's been years, so that doesn't help.
Then, a few weeks ago, before the hbomb went off, I saw a video on my home screen that had her in the title. It was one of those drama YouTuber videos he'd mentioned, making a video cannibalizing his Tweet and everything. By that point I hadn't even known Blaire did video essays and I only really clicked on the video because I vaguely remembered her name. But the video was just talking about some tweets and didn't provide any context and it was just too vague, so I clicked off again, none the wiser.
Anyway, started watching the hbomberguy video and I'm finally getting that context for everything, it feels so good!
Sorry if that's not relevant to anything, it just hit me like a pile of bricks. My vibe checks are immaculate, apparently.
Source: trust me bro
YOU'RE ALL GOOD NO WORRIES
first of all, no harm with being """late""" (hell you're not even that late, it's a few days old, it's nothing lmao), it's a super long video with a lot of content and honestly, i'm more surprised that this video took the internet by storm as fast as it did. I mean, it's a good thing considering the subject matter, but i did not expect it. (i've been following hbomberguy for years personally and i always wait for his videos with bated breath, i genuinely didn't expect the whole internet to react to this one as well. but i guess it also kinda happened to the previous video he posted. good for him!)
second, no wonder you felt like rambling about it, it IS quite a wild experience. I think there's something so eerie about seeing something you were kinda aware of from afar and then suddenly seeing it all come to light like this. Especially that way.
i rambled a bit myself so lol
(also while it's true the content kinda suck i do not think that people have to like... watch only perfect intellectualism content all the time. sometimes some dumb shit to keep in the background helps a lot just to have a bit of company. I think it's important to be mindfull of content mills but it's no use beating oneself up about it).
since i follow hbmb for years, i actually saw the Illuminaughty debacle he talked about live when it happened, since he replied to her back then and some creators i followed addressed it then. There is a whoooole lot of others things wrong with Blair on the problematic side that Harris didn't touch because he was focusing on the plagiarism, but it was a ride in itself.
But the timing in which you were reminded of Illuminaughty right before the video is truly one of a kind. because the whole debacle had died down a bit since then, so it was truly quite the timing??? the universe preparing you for this...
and if you're just starting the video you can stop here but i have more thoughts about it about the second half of the video, but the tldr is that i had the same reaction as you, but on the later part:
And also, like, i feel you because somewhat same but with James Somerton. He's been in my recommanded a lot on youtube, but i never watched his videos because a lot of the topics he talked about were things i had already read about, and i didn't really feel like hearing someone else's opinion about it. (though after watching hbomb's video, considering some of the stuff he plagiarized *are* the stuff i heard those topics from to start with.... really adds to it all.). I think i watched ONE video, and i genuinely don't remember what it was, but i remembered thinking it was kinda surface level and i didn't really like his take then.
But i shrugged it off thinking it's just some creators i didn't vibe with, it happens. just because a creator is queer doesn't mean their takes will resonate with me on that point, so i moved on with my life.
but then James Somerton picked some fights on Twitter a while ago against a handful of youtuber i follow, especially Jessie Gender, and i was genuinely so angry on her behalf that i kinda blacklisted Somerton in my mind back then.
for those who don't know, Somerton made a whole public drama on twitter about how Nebula "faked being queer friendly" but "refused to reach out to him and inviting him in" which means they were actually super homophobic and never actually cared for queer people. Which is a BEWILDERING thing to broadcast considering how many of the funders AND video makers of Nebula are LGBT+.
Jessie Gender called him out gently about it on twitter (because Jessie is always really sweet and calm about things), telling him that as a trans woman, she disagreed with his reading of it fully and no platform has given her the freedom to express her experience like Nebula did, and she hoped to reach out to him to discuss what exactly where the Nebula returns that made him feel that and if there was something that could be done about it.
And Somerton then immediately went on about how because of Jessie, he got hundreds of homophobic death threats and that it was the real face of Nebula, and why his fans needed to boycott Nebula. Jessie got *mad* harassed out of it. she had a very hard time following that.
(she recently made a video about the Somerton issues following hbomb' video - i didn't have the time to watch it yet but i definitely need to see if she addresses it since she mentioned it on her twitter a couple of times since then)
And it was genuinely horrible to see. I've seen so many trans creators and others LGBT creators trying to reason with Somerton and Somerton dug his heels insulting them and putting himself as the victim of an homophobic campaign and having his fans harass the trans creators who called him out, as well as the fem-presenting or afab LGBT+ creators who called him out. (like in insight it was obviously misogyny. he includes trans women in his misogyny but he also treats anyone afab as women to start with. In insight it truly is the man so misogynist that he has to broad his definition of a woman in order to hate as many of them as possible, even when he's wrong and those people aren't women (speaking of the trans men and nb people he misgendered in his search for misogyny, to be clear)) It was a horrible debacle.
Turns out that Jessie had actually tried to invite Somerton into a discord server with Nebula's people so he could eventually make his case here, but he refused to join then, and then he threw Nebula under the bus on twitter -- and turns out Nebula wasn't actually considering him because of the plagiarism' claims against him they wanted to investigate (Harris being a major voice of Nebula to start with. also similarly, it may also be why Todd in the Shadows, also a major voice of Nebula, was pulling his own investigation on Somerton (that he published after Harris' videos))
Like i'm not going at it with "it's obvious Somerton was a fraud", don't get me wrong, i just didn't vibe with the guy and found the little of his content to be so surface level it looked like any random tumblr post you could read (which, imo, i think a lot of the things Harris might not have found being obviously plagiarised, probably came from tumblr, since it's harder to find the source of posts there). I was just very angry at the twitter thing that happened, so i remembered his name and kinda flagged him in my brain as "this gay dude who only cares about his own letter in the LGBT+ community".
So huh. going into Harris' video, i did expect the Illuminaughti stuff because the drama was fresh in my brain and all. But when i saw the Somerton bit i was just "holy shit WAIT FOR REAL???" and i've stayed in shock the whole time.
I think even without knowledge of any of these people, the video is a bombshell in the way we interreact with content especially on youtube. but knowing even slightly anything about the content he's talking about makes it all more eerie and bewildering.
So i totally feel you on being super weirded out that this creator you kinda crossed path with but never was super involved in suddenly returns to hit you in the face like this. it's a really weird experience so i feel you 100%
so no worries about that and i'm glad you're watching the video and are learning something out of it! i do think it's more than just drama and it's an important video about the way plagiarism manifest itself and the way this type of people prey on more vulnerable communities to start with. so if the video can also struck a cord in other way, it's a nice thing imo.
so o7 very glad to hear it, and i know i blogged a lot about the video so i get why you felt like talking to me about it.
(but check hbomb' catalogue if you can. the Roblox video is in the same vibe and it's one of my fav video of all time. The Pathologic video he made is a master piece. He has so many good content. Truly worth a watch ;D)
Take care and good luck with the rest!

Playlist
I figured I’d write more of the YouTube AU with Peter/Stephen/Tony. Honestly, I should do some kind of other AU with them but for now we discuss Peter’s playlists lol.
“Wong has abandoned me,” Stephen says dramatically. Tony and Peter don’t even react because Wong would never abandon Stephen but he seems to think they should be a lot more invested. “Did you two not hear me?” he asks and Peter bites the bullet, sighing.
“We heard you, but we think you’re being dramatic,” he says. How nice of him to take one for the team like that.
Given how offended Stephen looks he’s probably going to regret that. “You think being upset about being abandoned is dramatics?” he asks in a haughty tone.
“Considering you decided Tony being on a business trip and me sleeping was you being abandoned, yeah,” Peter tells him.
Tony probably shouldn’t risk laughing but that’s too good not to laugh at.
*
“I love when people know shit-”
“Yes, me too but it happens so rarely,” Stephen says, cutting Peter off.
Peter sighs. “As I was saying I love when people know shit about the development of a project because this random person tweeted ‘the best thing about going to see Consuming Fire is that you know at one point it was a monster fucking movie’ and that’s hilarious,” he says.
God, yeah. And Peter fought about it for awhile too, which resulted in him nearly getting fired twice until Stephen had made a casual comment about making one of the characters a musician. With an in like that Peter had had a much less difficult time writing something that wasn’t total garbage, even if it was straight people. Then came the fight to cast Kamala and mini Peter in the roles, which resulted in a bunch more rewrites, but the interest generated from his casting choices alone seemed to appease pissy studios and audiences alike so.
“Imagine if Kamala was the fish man from The Shape of Water,” Stephen says, shaking his head. “Absolutely awful. Unpopular opinion, that movie was awful,” he adds.
“You have no taste,” Peter tells him.
“I thought the fish man was romantic,” Tony says and Stephen wrinkles his nose.
“White people are monster fuckers,” he mumbles. “Something went wrong in Europe.”
Peter starts laughing and Tony sighs, “dude, Sam dresses up as a furry on a regular basis. This isn’t just a caucasian problem- every race of human is into some weird shit.”
Stephen shakes his head, “Sam is an exception and should not be counted and when did he decide he was a furry?” he asks, frowning.
“Dude dresses up like a bird all the time,” Peter points out. “Calls his alter ego Falcon and he doesn’t even fucking dress up as a falcon.”
“He should dress up as a great tit,” Tony says and Stephen looks like his soul has died a little.
“We’re not talking about furries or monster fuckers anymore. We’re talking about Peter’s strange ability to make a playlist for every possible situation,” Stephen says. “Shall we go through the stranger ones?”
He pulls Peter’s phone out of his pocket and Tony snatches it, scrolling through the absurd amount of playlists. “Oh here’s one. ‘That feeling you get when you fuck at three a.m but actually you want to die.’ I don’t know what that means.”
Stephen pulls the phone back and starts scrolling. “Oh lovely- ‘for when you’re in Medicine Hat, Canada and the Tim Hortons is being held up.’ Are these built on personal experience?” he asks, squinting.
Tony takes the phone back and scrolls a little before sighing. “Seriously? ‘The feeling you get when you look at Tony Stark’s ass’? Is that a real thing?”
Stephen takes the phone back and laughs, “it was made three years before he met you,” he says. “That’s funnier.”
Peter snatches his phone. “I don’t even know how you two got that,” he mumbles. “And by the way- okay you know what, I will give you ‘Frankenstein vore playlist’ because I don’t even know what that means,” he says.
Stephen pulls a list from his pocket, “I’ve made a list of the strangest playlists though I did manage to somehow miss that one,” he says, wrinkling his nose at Peter. Tony leans over to look at the list and snorts at what he finds there. Honestly only Peter would have a playlist dedicated to making egg salad in someone else’s kitchen while you rob them.
“You have an ‘evacuate the building in case of fire’ playlist. No one will be listening to these, they’ll be exiting the damn building,” Tony says.
“Wedding in a classroom in rural Alaska- why is that a playlist?” Stephen asks.
“You went with that over ‘tickle my ass with a feather’ playlist?” Tony asks, giving Stephen a judgmental look.
“That one’s for Rocket,” Peter says, giving them more information than they wanted, Tony is sure.
“Got my ass kicked by a ballerina with teeth for a face- what? What does that mean, Peter?” Tony asks, baffled.
“What’s on the tin- it literally says it all in the title.”
Stephen rubs his temple and sighs. “Accidentally laughed at a funeral?” he asks.
Peter shrugs, “its been known to happen.” Even Stephen, the most cold hearted person Tony knows, clearly thinks that’s a dick move.
“Got caught in a government scandal?” Tony asks. “You don’t even understand politics.”
“Its worse because he has political opinions,” Stephen mumbles.
“Oh like that makes me any different than politicians,” Peter says and just because he’s right doesn't mean he should be.
“CIA mind control playlist?” Stephen asks.
“Are we going to read these all day, I feel like we’ve got better content than this,” Peter says.
Stephen squints at his list, “workplace serial killer playlist? I get work place shooter because that happens. I get disgruntled employee because that happens. I get serial killer because those are a thing. But in what world does a person have a problem with a work place serial killer?” he asks in a haughty tone.
“Well when you say it like that it sounds ridiculous,” Peter mumbles.
He gets a look from Stephen for that, “it sounded ridiculous the whole time. Like your damn monster fucking romcom.”
“It could have worked, we have vampire shows,” Peter points out.
Tony rolls his eyes, “that’s not monster fucking, that’s a cop out. You better be fucking something only vaguely human looking or you’re a pussy.”
“Structurally speaking female genitalia is the superior design, I don’t know why we use those as an insult. We should be calling people gonads on account of the poor design choices evolution made there. Or backs. The spine is basically a pixie stick holding up your meat sack- its an insult to biological architecture,” he says like that’s a phrase anyone but him has thought up.
Peter starts laughing and Tony decides to call it a day because there’s no coming back from that.
*
“So people have been writing meta on why our dynamic is so watchable,” Peter says, “and I honestly never thought I’d hear the phrase ‘Tony Stark is the straight man’ but here we are.”
Tony frowns, “I’m bisexual,” he says. How is it possible to fuck two whole assed dudes and still end up being called straight? Though there are those conspiracies about him being brainwashed and held captive because that’s the gay agenda these days, he guesses.
Stephen lets out a long sigh but Peter explains. “Its not a sexuality thing, its a comedy thing. There are the nutty characters and then the normal one who grounds them all- the straight man. You’re the one who grounds me and Stephen,” he says.
Tony squints, “cite your sources,” he tells Peter. Pepper is the straight man normally. Rhodey, he might be straight man passing if he didn’t always go along with Tony’s dumb plans. Pepper though, she lives and breathes common sense and forces him and Rhodey to also live and breathe common sense. Tony can’t imagine how he’s the straight man.
Peter nods, “yeah, so normally that’s not what the fuck you’d be on account of being a quirky billionaire genius who casually blows shit up on such a regular basis that its normal to you. But you hang out with a man who once faked a haunting to get rid of a roommate, casually refers to his coworkers killing people and how it inconveniences him because of hour cutbacks, and is sometimes actually magical. Couple that with your other partner in crime, me, who got into a several months long fight with a studio over whether or not I can make a monster fucking movie because I can’t write straight people, who got famous after writing a sci-fi musical space opera about his daddy issues, has a playlist for being murdered by sheep, and literally has a friend named ‘Rocket Racoon’ and your shit is no longer weird. You are the straight man only because the two people you’re with are so weird that your weird no longer looks weird in comparison,” Peter says.
They all sit on that for a long moment before Tony crosses his arms and glares straight ahead. “I don’t want to be the straight man,” he mumbles.
Stephen pulls a handkerchief seemingly out of nowhere and throws it at him. “Go cry me a river,” he says.
He picks up the handkerchief and frowns. “This is monogramed. And where wee you hiding it?”
*
Wong scrolls through the comments nodding to himself. “My favorite thing about these videos is my strange but adorable cult following,” he says.
Yeah, Wong is kind of a series regular but people have grown to like him with a surprising amount of enthusiasm. Stephen, however, looks irritated with this. “They have poor taste,” he mumbles.
Peter pets his head, earning a dirty look for his efforts. “Don’t worry, only about half the audience hates you now,” he chirps in an overly cheerful tone.
“Half the audience needs standards,” Wong murmurs, taking a sip of Stephen’s coffee.
Stephen pulls his cup back, “yes, half the audience needs to grow up and come to the conclusion that I’m far superior to Peter,” he says. “And on par with Tony, I suppose,” he adds.
Wong takes the coffee back, “that wasn’t that half of the audience I was referring to, Stephen, and we both know that. And Peter is superior to you on account of having a personality that isn’t the equivalent of sand paper on the senses.”
“I have a playlist for that too,” Peter says, grinning.
Tony rolls his eyes, “you have a playlist for drowning in quicksand in the middle of a forest on a planet in another solar system. We fucking know you have a playlist for it,” he says.
“Have a playlist for when your irritating best friend all but forces you to pick up his questionable boxers in the morning and you feel a little bit of your soul slip into another dimension?” Wong asks and Peter frowns.
“I uh... no, I don’t,” he says, looking lost and confused.

AWM 2017 recap
Things I saw at AWM today plus some bonus content I was informed of by other attendees of the event (roughly in chronological order):
Cinderella Girls
- I know next to nothing about this series except that Rin and Uzuki and that Love Laika duo are popular yuri ships lol.
- I already forgot their setlist OTL sorry I’d probably remember if I listened to some of their songs again. I think they performed 5? STAR, GOIN…uh…
- They pretty much spoke Japanese the entire time and were impressed that the audience seemed to be following along well despite that.
- They did a live skit or something? They showed clips from the anime(?) for each character and had them read a script live. Was pretty cute.
- Lit songs of the set list: YES PARTY TIME (is…is that the right title lol I just remember screaming those words a lot), and of course their closing song Onegai Cinderella.
- Okay to be exact all the songs were exciting but those two were particularly lit. iM@S songs have somewhat difficult calls (at least compared to Aqours) but those two songs are pretty easy to follow along with for wotaing even if you’re not at all familiar with the series.
- They performed one song I wasn’t familiar with because it wasn’t on the AWM Day 0 fan-compiled playlist nor the CG callbook _(:3 」∠)_ I believe this was one of their opening songs, so I started off the concert vaguely waving my KB and chanting “HAI HAI HAI HAI Uhhhh I don’t know the calls for this OOOH HAI OOOH HAI”, thanks for carrying the rest of us, Producers 👌
- Okay a friend has told me that song is Yumeiro Harmony? RIP.
Wake Up, Girls!
- 6 songs performed: Tachiagare!, Koi? de Ai? de Boukun Desu!, SHOUJO KOUKYOUKYOKU, Beyond the Bottom, 7 Girls War, Gokujou Smile. I…already forgot the exact order of the songs, but I *think* at least the first two are in the right places. Beyond the Bottom was close to the end iirc.
- I watched a grand total of 3 episodes of the anime plus the first movie so I’m not particularly familiar with the series, but I got attached to Minyami…to no one’s surprise lol, she happens to be the character whose image color is yellow and has a “nya” catchphrase 🙃 I screamed whenever she got a solo part she’s so cute aaah
- Mayushii is such a good singer holy fuck, kinda reminds me of a super-ikemen Emitsun (except ever since I saw a niconama of her crying hysterically over a horror game I can’t take her seriously :3c).
- They were saying things about having the audience smile or something as a lead-in into Gokujou Smile lol
- They tried to speak a bit of English, but it was mostly basic stuff. They were cute. :)
- I broke a UG (Ultra Green, the green version of a UO/Ultra Orange - which y'all might be familiar with from Snow halation) for Tachiagare and I lost my shit because Shukamod couldn’t find her UG, and she ended up breaking like 4-6 UBs (Ultra Blue, for songs like KoiAqua and MIRAI TICKET) unintentionally in her frantic search for one before I took pity on her and gave her my spare lol.
- SHOUJO KKK was motherfucking lit, everyone lost their shit at the hips great choreography and deep voices.
- Lowkey sad that they didn’t perform 16 sai no Agape because it’s the first WUG song I knew (thanks to King’s ANiUTa playlist) but I don’t have any complaints about their performance tbh. They are really, really good dancers and Mayushii’s singing is so damn ikemen I died.
- Everyone else in ONIBE was 🍝 for Yoppi lol.
- 15min intermission afterwards.
Walkure
- Only 2 members performed but it was still lit~
- These two are so talented??? The audience (me included) completely lost their shit at Ikenai Borderline.
- Shukamod probably had a good laugh at me screaming shit like “OH MY GOD JUNNA IS 16 HOW TF IS SHE THIS GOOD WHAT AN IKEBO HOLY SHIT”
- oh yeah, setlist…uhhh…also can’t recall the titles from the top of my head, but Ichi Do Dake no Koi Nara was one I remember. Really good song holy mother of god.
- Friends have reminded me that there was 5, and the first song was Koi Halation, other was Bokura no Senjou, and also supplied the title of the last song (I know the calls but not the title lol).
- In the MC, JUNNA and Minori talked about how they were really impressed by the American burgers. They wanted recommendations for more delicious burgers and several people in the audience had to start a chant to help them remember. They started to say McDonald’s and everyone screamed in horror until they eventually caught on that people were chanting “In N Out” lmao.
- They spoke so much Engrish bless these kids
- For the MC before the last song (Run ga Pikatta Hikattara), Minori was trying to teach the audience the call for it and was pleasantly surprised when the audience automatically did the call once she started singing a specific part of the song without her having to spell it out for us. What do you take us for, casuals? >:|
- All the solo parts were done by Minori…dunno if that’s normal but that’s what I noticed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Aqours
- These are somewhat arbitrary numbers but it seemed like that the audience was made of like 25% CG fans, 10% WUG fans, 5% Walkure fans, and then the rest were there for Aqours. Possibly even more for Aqours, since I saw an insane number of people wearing the caps from the You birthday set lol. I even spotted someone cosplaying Ruby from the recent Time Travel set on SIF, holy shit how did they assemble that costume for AX so quickly… Anyways, of course the entire theater went wild when Aqours was finally up to perform.
- Like for their Christmas minilive and 1st Live, the members entered 1 by 1 through a splash screen introducing their character by default member order (i.e. Chika-Riko-Kanan-Dia-You-etc).
- To no one’s surprise, they started with Aozora Jumping Heart. @saitou-shuka and I were pretty much screaming our hearts out from the start. Shukamod broke a mega UO during Shukashuu’s intro lmao.
- They were wearing their MIRAI TICKET outfits and their set list basically turned out to be almost identical to their ANiUPa setlist.
- MC (member introductions using their standard character speeches e.g. Kanan going “I guess my appeal point is my muscles?”) after Aozora. They went down the line in the order Aikyan-Furirin-King-Rikyako-Anchan-Shukashuu-Suwawa-Arisha-Ainya.
- They didn’t do their call and responses (T_T) and I noticed that right away when Aikyan went into her introduction, so after she finished speaking I screamed “OHAYOSHIKO” and a few people copied me, I think? Me and Shukamod ended up shouting the call & responses before or after each introduction lol.
- Aikyan mentioned that this was her first time in America with Aqours, and when King did her introduction she sounded so smug going “This is my second time zura~~~”
- Rikyako mentioned that this was actually the first overseas performance for Aqours (which I already knew but it’s still cool to be reminded again) and everyone was hyped.
- Screamed a lot during Shuka’s intro RIP my voice.
- Suwawa started her self-intro and forgot what her lines were partway through so we had a good laugh when she went “Eh, nandake?” all of a sudden lol.
- People were cheering loudly for Arisha partway through her introduction, so she shushed everyone and then went “suki” and everyone lost their shit again.
- Ainya is so tiny omg what a shiny smol girl
- I made the resolution to be the American version of that one guy who always screams “AAAAaIiiNYAAAaaaAAa” at Aqours lives, and according to Shukamod I did a pretty good replication of it :3c
- Rikyako and Suwawa were in charge of the English language MC and their English has gotten really, really good holy crap. Only complaint I would have was the line “Let’s enjoy with us!” (should be something like “Let’s have fun together” or w/e), but their pronunciation and speed were godly. Both spoke a lot, but Rikyako in particular was really active in repeating stuff said in Japanese into English.
- Ainya was really clingy with Arisha lol I don’t remember which MC it was during but Ainya kept hugging Arisha and stuff lol
- Rikyako then said that the next song would be from their first single and everyone got hyped for KimiKoko.
- SHUKA LEAPFROG IN HER MIRAI TICKET OUTFIT WOOHOO SEEING IT LIVE WAS WILD
- KOIAQUA AFTERWARDS WHOOOOOOO SHUKA’S DANCING WAS SO GOOD!!! Also according to some people in other seats there were some audience members who were doing the “IE TAIGAAAA” calls for this song 🙃 Shukamod and I each broke a handful of UBS for this of course haha
- Another MC/small break afterwards! Furirin did that routine she always does at Aqours lives where she suddenly collapses and asks if she can have a water break lol is this gonna be a regular routine now?
- SHUKA ACCIDENTALLY TOOK ANCHAN’S BOTTLE AND FLAILED AND SAID SOMETHING LIKE “OH NO I DRANK SO MUCH OF CHIKA-CHAN’S WATER”
- MIRAI TICKET was announced as the Ep 13 insert song to be performed next! It was fun breaking out the UOs and UBS for this song too~ The “we say yousoro” part was of course enthusiastically screamed by all the You fans in particular o7
- Surprise song Yume Kataru yori Yume Utaou! They brought out pom poms too! Ainya and Arisha had a really cute hug in this song :D According to others apparently the 1st years were also super clingy and were doing lots of group hugs and stuff
Miscellaneous
- I spotted someone trying to record a part of the concert in the beginning and got really mad and pointed it out to the members of ONIBE I was sitting with. We screamed something like “HEY FUCKER YOU WITH THE CAMERA STOP FUCKING RECORDING” at him after the song, which caused a lot of stares but did achieve the effect of getting him to stop.
- When Aqours finished, Anchan became the MC for the closing speeches at the end.
- Minori had a paper at the closing MC with a speech written in English on it lol. She tweeted a picture of it after the performance, but basically it’s something along the lines of “Thanks everyone, In n Out burgers No. 1!!!” lmao
- JUNNA couldn’t come on stage at the closing MC with all the artists at the end because minors (JUNNA is 16) aren’t allowed to work after 10pm lmao, I had been so confused and concerned until that announcement was made and then I just cracked up.
- I saw Anchan making an adorable pouty face during one of the other groups’ closing speech aaaah so precious.
- Furirin and Shukashuu were doing small “ganbaruby” motions off to the side bless these two :’D
- King kept doing the Ohanamaru pose too lol
- Apparently for the VIP meet & greet after the concert, someone did a “hagu shiyo” with their friend in front of Suwawa, and in response Suwawa did it too with Shukashuu.
- Sosa (Korean Twitter artist famous for their NozoEli video comic of Garasu no Hanazono) was apparently at AWM today…AND RECEIVED A CALLBOOK FROM ONIBE. I MIGHT HAVE WALKED PAST ONE OF THE KOREAN ARTISTS WHO’VE I’VE TRANSLATED FOR. I MIGHT HAVE EVEN HANDED ONE TO THEM. WHAT THE HELL??
