I'd like to work on Vegas but all the things with job searching gave me anxiety and the thing that Idk how to better start Vegas gave me anxiety too, so I've started smt cute and little
"5 times Buck and Eddie say "I love you" platonically and one time not platonic at all" wip
A few minutes pass and Buck smells the coffee. Well, this person doesn’t seem to be going to continue sleeping either. Maybe Buck can persuade them to chat with him. Right at that moment, the mystery person approaches him, and Buck can see that this is Eddie, his best friend. Or at least he hopes so. For the past months of working together, they created a bond Buck has never had with anyone. Sometimes Buck is sure he just knows that Eddie thinks before Eddie even says anything, and Buck knows Eddie can do it too. They just need to look at each other for a second and their bodies work synchronously, as if they are one mechanism. Buck trusts Eddie with his life at work, he knows Eddie always has his back, because it wasn’t just words for the man, and Buck always makes sure Eddie is alright. But it’s not only work, they had plenty of beer nights when they shared life problems , Eddie gave some stories from the army, and Buck a lot of stories from his travels. They also have traditional Friday movie nights with Chris, and Buck went with the Diaz boys to Santa Claus. Buck is attached to Eddie and Chris, he really likes them, he knows it, he just hopes the feeling is mutual. He always falls so fast to people, attaches too much, to be left behind with pieces of his broken heart because people whom he tried to give it, throw it back in his face. He tries to believe Eddie can be different.
“Can’t sleep?” Eddie smiles gently and hands him one of the mugs he’s holding.
Buck gets up and gives Eddie space to sit on the couch with him, and then he takes a mug from Eddie. They sit close to each other, their thighs touch a little and Buck really likes the little warmth from Eddie he can feel. It’s fantastically comforting to sit like that with Eddie, feeling his warmth and holding a warm mug in his hands. Buck could stay forever here.
“Are you going to drink it? You know coffee helps you to stay awake if you drink it,” Eddie says and raises his beautiful eyebrown, and Buck sees a teasing smile on this pretty face.
I'm not tagging anyone cause I think everyone already did, but if you want to share smt consider yourself tagged

Hopefully this makes sense. But as Buddie shippers I think sometines we get shit for reading between the lines. Like we never saw them give each other keys but we know clearly it happened early because Eddie just lets himself in at the end of S2 and has no problem busting up to Bucks bed. We didn't see ot happen but we get the level of intimacy that holds.
So moving on I feel so validated because it is bot at all just Buddie that the writers are doing this. Its a pattern for all of them. That look Bobby gets when May says he saved her. Inlegit bawled!!! Like you know it was such a full circle moment and it's clear the writers know they dont have to beat us over the head.
The same way with Eddie calling Buck amd Buck just being like here take this hose I gotta follow my husband for whatever he thinks we need to do. They will always have each others back and that trust between them is just very beautiful.
Hi Nonnie! Thank you and don't worry, I totally got everything that you were trying to say! :D *hugs*
Yes, I agree! I mean, 911 IS a good show on a lot of levels, it's well written, well directed, well designed, well acted... And a good show, especially with good writers, is always going to deliver some of its punches in the subtext. It's how it builds up revelations that still makes sense and aren't done for shock value alone. I think Buddie's shippers motivation is questioned, but to question that 911 does write things for its characters in subtext? Nope, doesn't make sense. Also? Same about Bobby in that moment when he gets to hear that it's not just him considering May to be his kid, it goes both ways and she acknowledges and accepts him as her dad. 'Coz Harry back in 508, saying he has three dads? You could tell Bobby was impacted by that, but maybe later he figured Harry's still young, he might not get the full weight of what he said. May knows exactly what she's saying, what it means, and she still insisted Bobby's her dad. Yeah, Bobby didn't have to wail and sob, or say anything, we all got what hearing that meant to him and why.
LOL I loved that so much! Good God, I missed their teamwork SO MUCH, and I honestly think it's a thing of beauty how they work together. It was one of my fave things to weave into my Buddie fics, that these two are husbands on the field in every conceivable way. And I have so many thoughts about that perfect synchronicity they have and the intense connection it represents.
Thank you again for this, lovely! Hope you have a great day! xoxox
(I got an influx of asks, I WILL answer all of them, but it might take a sec. If anyone wants to check whether I've already answered theirs or to read my replies, here's my ask tag. Thank you! xoxox)

Something about Eddie’s character arc that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about...
I know we've talked at length about how Eddie hasn't really had a long-standing character arc (i.e Bobby/sobriety, Buck/system updates), but I don't think that's actually true. Eddie’s entire character arc, from first to last, has been about his search for the perfect partner. Not only is his arc completely and explicitly romantic in nature, (rather atypical of an “alpha male” type character), it is also very female-coded. Partner-search arcs usually follow a female (disney princess, chick flick protagonist, etc) through life as she tries to find (and usually happens upon) the partner that “fits.”
How does this apply to Eddie? Well, let’s look at Eddie’s partners.
First we have Shannon. With Shannon, Eddie had passion and fire, but there were a lot of fundamental problems with their relationship. Shannon couldn’t handle the responsibilities that came with being the parent to a disabled child, and while Eddie took Chris’s role in his life and used it to make himself more mature, Shannon took Chris’s role in her life and allowed it to push her away from her family unit. Eddie and Shannon had severe compatibility issues the left both of them feeling alone in the marriage and one of them always feeling, or being, left behind.
On the other hand, Ana was the Perfect Partner. She was great with kids, and with Christopher especially. She and Eddie had shared heritage (which would have gone a long way with endearing his parents to her), but the passion and fire was missing from the relationship, making it completely unsustainable and unsatisfying for any long period of time.
Having seen the partners that don’t fit (both of which who should fit for multiple reasons) this begs the obvious question: who is perfect for Eddie? Narratively, this is a question that must be answered because it is the only question that has ever been relevant to his character. Drawing from the strengths and weaknesses of Eddie’s previous relationships, his perfect romantic partner would have to be:
Someone who is great with his son. Someone who, not just loves Christopher, but wants to put effort into him. Someone who doesn’t view him as broken (Shannon) or incapable (Ana), but who will do whatever they have to in order to see him grow and thrive.
Someone who will come alongside of and partner with him, as parents and as romantic partners. Someone who can be with him and make him feel seen (missing in his relationship with Ana) and someone challenges him to be better (missing in his relationship with Ana. Remember, Eddie said that it was “nice.” Relationships that push you to be better are not “nice.”). And someone who will make him feel something. Who will make him come and feel alive.
Draw the lines and conclusions for yourself, but we’ve seen Eddie as a solitary creature (in 3x15 flashbacks, as well as the brief period when he joined the 118) and we’ve seen him with incompatible partners (Shannon/Ana). And while we have yet to see Eddie with a romantic partner that satisfies all his needs as a father/individual, we have seen him with a partner that satisfies him. It’s impossible to address the topic of Eddie’s partners without also addressing Buck because 9-1-1 has explicitly shown us that Eddie and Buck are partners. They parent Chris together, they pair well at work together, they have a chemistry and synchronicity that is natural and easy. When Buck filed the lawsuit, Eddie felt that loss twice as deeply because he was abandoned by a partner. When he almost died (twice), he made Buck Christopher’s legal guardian because he trusts him as a partner and, worst case scenario, a parent.
Make of that what you will, but when I consider the very nature of Eddie’s character arc, it just makes me believe in the possibility of canon buddie even more. His arc reminds me of every Hallmark movie I’ve ever seen: the strong, corporate woman trying to make a relationship work with the strong, corporate man when all she really needs is the handsome lumberjack who will teach her the meaning of Christmas. And we all know how those movies end.
Eddie is headed toward some sort of romantic resolution -- he can’t not be -- and I know who that should be. But who will it be? I guess we’ll find out...

Hiyaa!
just because i came across the fact (idk if it's true. Idc because it's beautiful) that if 2 people look into each others eyes, their heartbeats sync.
i just thought that would be a lovely thing to write about with buddie. Or maybe you already have one like this already.
Just trying to give you inspiration or something.
have a lovely day!🤗
Thank you so much for this idea. I might have went down the rabbit hole and looked into it and it seems legit. I'm pretty fascinated by it, and it really is perfect for them. I hope you enjoy 💜

"Hey, Eds?"
Buck looks around the house as he kicks off his shoes and hangs up his jacket. There's no sign of Eddie, but Buck can hear his voice coming from down the hall.
Buck doesn't follow the sound, though. Instead, he walks into the living room where two heart monitors have been set up. It's something Buck would expect to see in a hospital, not the middle of Eddie's living room.
"What the hell?"
"Yeah," Eddie says, startling Buck when he appears suddenly behind him. "That was my thought too."
"What is Hen going to do to us?" Buck hisses.
When Hen had first mentioned needing Buck and Eddie's help with a project for school, Buck hadn't hesitated to agree. Now, looking at the machines, he's starting to wonder what exactly he agreed to.
"She assures me it'll be painless," Eddie says.
"And you believe her?"
Eddie shrugs. "It's Hen. It's not like she's going to drain us of our blood and watch our vitals as we bleed out on my living room floor."
Buck tilts his head as he watches Eddie. "That's oddly specific, Eds." A teasing grin spreads across his face when Eddie looks away. "Have you been watching horror movies without me again?"
"Of course I have to watch them without you." Eddie crosses his arms across his chest and raises an eyebrow. "You hate horror movies. They freak you out."
"Yeah, and they freak you out too," Buck says. "Especially when you watch them alone."
Buck knows that for a fact. He's gotten plenty of texts from Eddie late at night after he decided it was a good idea to watch some horror movie after Christopher had gone to bed.
There was one time Buck had to assure Eddie no one was lurking outside his house, and when that didn't work he drove over and checked it out for him. Turns out what Eddie had been seeing outside his window was a tree branch. Which Buck only teased him about a little bit.
So yeah, Buck knows what Eddie gets like after watching a horror movie.
"Alright, you boys ready?" Hen asks.
Eddie eyes the wires in her hands warily. "What are those for?"
Buck leans over and whispers to Eddie, "Still sure she's not going to kill us?"
Hen rolls her eyes and gestures to the couch. "Of course I'm not going to kill you. This is to help monitor your heart rhythm."
"What are you doing to us that you need to monitor our hearts?" Buck asks.
"An experiment," Hen says. "I can't tell you what exactly that is until after or else it could skew the results."
Eddie nods and moves to sit on the couch, leaving Buck no choice but to join him.
"Alright, shirts off," Hen says.
Buck and Eddie share a look and Eddie shrugs, stripping his shirt off in one swift movement. Buck has to make himself look away from the newly exposed expanse of skin, and takes his own shirt off.
"Now what?" Buck asks Hen.
"Now I need to put these electrodes on your chest," Hen says.
"I can do Buck," Eddie offers.
Buck almost chokes on his own tongue and he sputters. "What? What do…? What?"
"The electrodes, Buck," Eddie says. "I know where to place them."
"Right," Buck says. Of course that's what he'd been talking about. But then... "If you know what the wires are for why did you have to ask?"
Eddie smirks. "Because you didn't know."
"Asshole," Buck mutters.
All Eddie does is laugh.
Buck isn't sure if he wants to slap him or kiss him. Maybe both. Or neither. He's just going to be cool. He sits as still as he can as Eddie moves closer, one of the electrodes in his hands. He can do this. He can totally sit here and act like a normal person as his best friend, who he's secretly in love with, touches him. No big deal.
He jumps at the first touch of the sticky backing of the electrode in his skin. "Shit. That's cold."
Eddie sniggers. "Sorry. Did I forget to mention that?"
"Thought you would have known, Buckaroo," Hen says, easily placing the electrodes on Eddie's chest. He seems completely unphased. "You've been in the hospital enough times."
"I was never conscious when they put them on," Buck says. "Or you know, I had other things to worry about."
"Fair enough," Hen says.
Eddie sighs and shakes his head. "This will go faster if you sit still."
"Right," Buck mumbles. "Sorry."
He does his best to remain still as Eddie places the remaining electrodes on his chest. After the first two, it's a little easier since he knows what to expect. Once they’re all on, Eddie clips the wires onto each electrode, and Buck watches as his heart rhythm appears on one of the machines.
"Alright, so what next?" Buck asks.
"Now I just need you two to sit facing each other for three minutes and keep eye contact," Hen tells them. "I'll monitor the time and tell you when to start."
"That's all?" Buck questions.
Hen nods. "Yep."
Buck shrugs. "Okay. Sounds simple enough." He turns to face Eddie better and smiles as he holds out his hand. "You ready?"
Eddie rolls his eyes but returns the smile as he takes Buck's hand. It's not part of the experiment, but Eddie doesn't question it. "Ready."
"Excellent." Hen looks down at her phone and then nods her head. "Alright. Starting on three, two, one."
Buck didn't need the countdown. His eyes were already fixed on Eddie's. He's looked into them loads of times, often found his gaze lingering there. But never like this. Not with Eddie gazing back so intently, his palm warm against his. It's strangely intimate, even with the beeping of the machines, and Hen in the room watching them. All that falls away. All Buck can focus on is Eddie.
On the flecks of gold swimming among the brown, that until now Buck's never been able to appreciate. Buck could get lost in them. He wants to.
He leans in, his eyes not leaving Eddie's, needing to be closer. Eddie mirrors his movements. There’s a look in his eyes that never fails to take Buck’s breath away, even he can’t quite pinpoint what it is. He has a feeling if he looks long enough he’ll find all the answers he needs.
"Eds…"
Beep beep beep
Buck jolts back at the sound of the timer going off, but his eyes don't leave Eddie's, even now. Eddie doesn't seem ready to look away either.
"Well?" Buck asks. "What'd you find out?"
"That even science knows how in love you two idiots are," Hen says.
Buck does look away then. His hand drops from Eddie's as he turns to face Hen. "What?"
"Research shows that people who are in love and gaze into each other's eyes for three minutes naturally experience synchronized heartbeats," Hen says. "And you two," she points between Buck and Eddie. "Synced up perfectly. Eddie's heart rate was in the 80's when we started and yours was 78. The moment you two locked eyes both of your hearts started to slow and then stayed at 68. Your respirations matched up too."
Buck's sure his heart isn't slow now. In fact, it has to have shot up at Hen's words. He looks at the monitor to see he's right. He's pushing 80. But Eddie… Eddie's has remained steady.
He glances over at Eddie, to see him looking fondly at him before he starts to peel off the electrodes. "Can you get these off him, Hen?"
"You got it," Hen says. She starts removing the electrodes from Buck's skin, but Buck barely pays attention, too focused on Eddie.
"You don't seem surprised by this," Buck says. "Why aren't you surprised?"
Eddie sighs. "Because I'm not. I've heard of this before. And I…"
"What?"
"I think this is something you two need to talk about alone," Hen mutters. She tosses the last electrode aside and then stands up. "I'll get the equipment later. You two… talk."
Eddie starts to get to his feet, but Buck grabs his arm, stopping him. "Wait, Eddie."
"I'm just going to get a washcloth, Buck," Eddie says, offering him a reassuring smile. "Trust me, you don't want this to dry on your skin."
Buck winces. "Good point."
His skin already feels gross and sticky. Something he doesn't want to feel when he has this talk with Eddie.
Eddie returns a moment later with two washcloths. He hands one to Buck as he takes his previously vacated seat next to him. Buck smiles when he presses the washcloth against his skin and feels how warm it is. Of course, Eddie would be thinking about comfort.
When he's done, he puts the washcloth aside and turns back to Eddie.
"Why weren't you surprised?" Buck asks softly. Eddie looks up at him, before glancing away. Something Buck is used to when it comes to Eddie talking about his feelings. Normally, Buck would let it be. But not today. Not with this. Buck gently tilts his chin up with his fingers and ducks his head to meet Eddie's gaze. "Eddie."
"Because I know how I feel about you," Eddie says. "That's why my heart sped up when Hen told us what we'd be doing."
"But you were calm when it was over," Buck says.
Eddie nods. "Yeah. And you weren't."
"I was afraid I gave myself away," Buck admits. "I didn't want to risk losing you."
Eddie smiles and leans down, pressing a soft kiss on Buck's palm. "Buck, you know the experiment only works if it goes both ways."
"Oh," Buck says. Then, "Oh."
Eddie chuckles and moves down, kissing Buck's wrist over his pulse. "Yeah."
"You love me," Buck whispers. It’s a question. Buck is sure of that. As sure as he’s ever been of anything. Eddie loves him. Buck suddenly understands just what it was he saw in Eddie’s eyes before. Not just today, but so many times over the years, and he never let himself hope. Until now. It’s love.
Eddie sits up straighter until their faces are level. He brings his hand up to Buck's face, his fingers caressing his skin with a softness that matches the look in his eyes. There's no looking away now. "I do," Eddie says. "I love you, Evan."
Buck kisses him, unable to hold back in longer. Eddie laughs happily and kisses him back with matching enthusiasm. "I love you too," Buck murmurs against his lips. And it's perfect. Buck doesn’t need a heart monitor to tell him that. Together in this moment, like with everything else, they're completely in sync.

5x01 Parallels
Maddie & Eddie/Chimney & Buck - for sure, these two are definitely paralleled this episode, not only because of the issues they are currently struggling with but also their refusals (in different degrees) to acknowledge the level of them and to discuss completely with their partners (yes, I am throwing Buck into the mix here)
Maddie: “Please don’t. I know that you really want to fix this but it’s not your job. I don’t want you to spend your time worrying about me.”
Chim: “Making sure you and Jee-Yun are happy and healthy is my most important job so you can tell me not to worry but I’m not sure I know how to do that.”
Maddie: “I’ll talk to the doctor, I promise.”
Chim: “Hey, you know it won’t be like this forever. It’s gonna get better.”
Maddie: “Yeah, of course it is.”
This is a conversation that had Eddie revealed to Buck what happened to him, they could also be having, almost word for word. Chim is trying to be supportive, he's trying to help and be on top of things, make sure Maddie and Jee-Yun are okay. Like he says, happy and healthy. He's observing key changes in Maddie's sleeping behavior that could be a side effect from the medication she's currently on. He's doing his very best. Even though we never got to see Eddie's recovery from his gunshot would, this literally could be Buck taking care of Christopher and watching out for Eddie had he stayed with them when Eddie first returned home.
And even though we were never shown that, they sort of confirm that Buck will be fulfilling this role for Eddie by directly paralleling him to Chimney in this episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And not just visually through synchronized uniforms, placement, or similar actions/conversation setups, but also through the story. Buck is the one to push Eddie to tell him what happened, to make Eddie acknowledge something happened that bears talking about. Chim is trying to do the same in his scene with Maddie, to get her to acknowledge that her sleeping patterns have changed possibly due to the medication, and making sure she's going to see the doctor to discuss it. Buck finds out about Eddie's incident (vaguely) through the doctor who had seen Eddie. All paralleled.
The next two parallels are a little more subtle but I absolutely saw some interesting links here. We know the parallels are there but always shift around in certain areas. These two were very much that I thought:
Hen & Eddie/Karen & Buck - the whole lunch scene at Athena's was amazing to see (I want more of that) and very interesting. Firstly, I love Karen so much and I'm so glad I got to see her up front and center for a moment in this episode. But it's her conversation that to me is the most interesting when it comes to the parallels. Hen teases that Karen is a hit at parties because she's the apocalyptic doomsayer and Karen laughs, saying she loves it. The information that Karen gives, the assuring Michael and everyone that everything is connected, Hen's reaction -- this completely reminded me of Buck and Eddie's interaction in 4x03. Where Buck tells him that if you have a smart anything, you can always be spied on. This would not be the first time that Karen is paralleled to Buck in the series or that Hen is paralleled to Eddie.
Michael & Eddie/David & Buck - you know, I was bummed when David was the only character in that scene that didn't speak. Even Toni who was there for a few episodes last season got to say a line. And I couldn't understand why they would have him there if he wouldn't get to say a word or the camera wouldn't show him doing something or exchanging a look with Michael or something. And then it hit me: who is not a technophobe and who is being told to drop it this episode? Buck. I'm not saying everything revolves around Buddie of course, this is an ensemble cast and Athena is going through her own hell right now, but those parallels are there, man. Especially, when you have Michael speaking about the technology being an issue, and people should be made aware of the ransomware attacks.
Shannon & Ana - this is an obvious one that I think we all made. It's no coincidence that Eddie mentions this little fact about Christopher's old suit in the pool game scene nor is it a coincidence that Eddie has his first panic attack in the suit store where he and Christopher both are being made to get new suits. They are purposely trying to show us that Ana is the new Shannon (outside of everything else we picked up on the last two seasons). They're also trying to symbolically show us that Ana would be that new beginning (Shannon 2.0 though tbh I kind of feel like that's insulting to Shannon ngl) because it's a new suit that Christopher has to get to go to a christening, a religious ritual to celebrate a new birth. Because he doesn't fit into his old suit which he's outgrown and the last time he wore it was Shannon's funeral. So if you think about the panic attack scene in this context, it absolutely makes sense that this is the time when Eddie would be triggered to have his first panic attack: Ana is making him get a new suit, too, and even picking out his tie, Christopher is obviously being forced to get a new suit, she's loudly referring to their supposed sex life within Christopher's hearing (when she literally could have said it under her breath standing next to Eddie, not that I think Christopher would know what it means, he's still too young), Eddie seeing Christopher is not happy, and then the store clerk calling Ana Christopher's mom -- of course the man panicked. I do think that there are other underlying issues (like getting shot, the trauma, almost dying again, etc.) but it doesn't surprise me that this scene is one of his first triggers. It's obvious that Eddie still has not fully come to the realization yet (or he has but he's digging in his heels) that he's making the same mistake all over again, that could possibly turn out similar in the end (or worse). (I just feel like Ana only bonds with Christopher because it's what Eddie wants, I said what I said, hopefully I'll see a scene in the next two episodes that will prove me wrong because I would never want Christopher to realize that, been there, done that, it sucks)
Buck & Ana (though they get contrasted, too)/Eddie & Taylor - this to me was a very loud parallel. Ana says to Eddie in the store "And that other thing" when Eddie asks her if she just likes him getting dressed up, implying something sexual here (which, is that the first time we see Ana cleavage? so they're no longer dressing her like a schoolteacher? interesting, there has to be something to that, as well as the sexual undertones), to which Eddie responds by putting a finger to his lips because Christopher is within hearing distance. Here's the thing, Ana is always the one to initiate physical contact between them (and she does it even in this scene). She's always been the one that is clearly interested and not shy in her pursuit of Eddie. She wants him. They had two distinct moments in the store scene that could have finally given us a kissing scene between the two (that wasn't an Abuela kiss) due to the nature of the scene but the show chose to ignore it. In the Buck and Taylor scene, Buck is the one to initiate the physical intimacy, to try to take her mind off of work, but in the end she rebuffs his advances and opts to look at the app on his phone instead, that had to do with the day's events. She refuses to be deterred. While the dynamics in each relationship are different and we've definitely gotten kissing (and sexual) scenes for Buck and Taylor (and no cringe when it comes to them like we do Eddie and Ana), the fact that they threw in this line for Ana and Eddie's reaction to it, and then later this scene between Buck and Taylor, they're definitely being paralleled. Not just to show us that the relationships might not all they're cracked up to be, but also to show us that something is missing for each main character despite having significant others. Something is missing for Eddie and Buck, and neither are over the moon happy right now. The fact that we haven't seen too many happy moments for Eddie and Ana (or any for Buck and Taylor once they made it "sort of official") before this episode and we're seeing disconnects happening between the two couples though they're dating and it's turned physical, speaks very loudly.
Athena & Eddie - the obvious parallel of these two dealing with the aftereffects of their attacks (even though Eddie tries to deny it) -> which does lead to Buck and Bobby being paralleled as well when it comes to these two and their situations in the episode; the only contrast is that Athena is not getting pissed at Bobby or trying to deny anything or shut down any conversations (because they already had that issue last season that they worked out)
A sort of link: Christopher & Harry - Harry gets dropped off by Michael because he was "missing his mom". I don't think that's a coincidence being in the same episode as the panic attack, with Christopher not liking any of the new suits he's tried on, especially when we see Bobby watching Athena hugging Harry.

Buddie ask game
tagged by @madamewriterofwrongs (I’ve no idea how you’ve cheated but I love it)
1. what was your first ever buddie post?
This post from April of this year: https://oneawkwardcookie.tumblr.com/post/616533726892113920/the-way-i-see-it-thisll-be-the-way-they-could
This then sparked me to actually write it: Walls will come crumbling down
2. who was the first buddie blog you followed
It appears to be @9-1-1-buddie, but I’ve also been a little heavy-handed in unfollowing people that don’t tag spoilers so there might have been blogs before that!
3. who is your favourite buddie blog?
Hey now, I cannot single out a singular favourite!
4. what was the first fic you bookmarked?
the weekly bet (but the forever kind)
5. what is your favourite oneshot?
Picking favourites from people I know seems mean, so I’m going to go from my bookmarks and history: You're Gonna Have a Great Time
6. what is your favourite multi-chapter fic?
 I know it’s not a multi-chapter so much as a series: but LAFD-DisasterBoy
7. what is your favourite ‘established’ fic?
5 Times Eddie & Buck Knew They Were Dating & 1 Time Everyone Else Figured It Out
8. what is your favourite ‘getting together’ fic?
Can I pick one of mine? You Are The One
9. if buddie went canon, how do you think it would happen?
So, Eddie still needs to work on prioritising himself, so maybe he starts thinking about dating, but he feels weird about bringing it up in front of Buck. He has a think about why that is and realises that he already has a sort of relationship, just without the name to it.
Buck starts to feel like he is enough as he is and so thinks about what he wants from his life. He realises he already has it, just without a name to it.
They’re both awkward about it and that seeps into their interactions, and it throws off their personal and professional synchronicity. They notice, and other people notice. One day, Buck just comes out and asks him what’s wrong, and Eddie asks him what they’re doing and they somehow, with one braincell between them, work out that they both do want each other but have just been too worried about ruining what they already have, as well as what that would actually M E A N.
10. what are your top 4 headcanons for buddie?
Do I have headcanons? Is it not enough to just write based on the flavour of the week and my own love of music?
the sheer amount of snuggling going on, but in private because they are professionals (then again, the sheer amount of casual touches already - that wouldn’t change)
Eddie takes so many photos of the three of them (Buck gets him a photo-album)
Eddie prefers simple dates, and Buck likes to go all out, and yet, they always end up planning the opposite
They see how long they can go without telling anyone, to see who realises. As time passes, they realise more and more just how long they’ve just been like T H A T. They’ll look back and laugh at it, but at the time, it’s kinda embarassing, but mutually, so it’s chill.
