apparently the navy was at Anime NYC trying to recruit and someone in the comments said they’re looking for toji cosplayers and a guy replied that they’re a toji cosplayer and could use the money and someone just replied with “lore accurate” losing my mind over this comment 😭

going to recruit people at an anime convention is literally crazy i cant get past that. but also the toji cosplayer thing is so funny. but it's true. except i think toji hates the government too much for that

This was an unexpected surprise — I stumbled upon @midtowncomics in NYC just around the corner from where I was staying last week 🤯 This is the comic book shop that Gerard and Mikey went to as kids when their dad would bring them into the city for conventions and stuff. Mikey did a signing there last year (where @mcrslaps had him sign his Collapser series for me 😭😭) so when I saw that awning I stopped super abruptly *SCREEEEEECH* (I also screeched with my mouth, lol) I had my Gerard funkos with me and got to take their picture with Gerard’s Doom Patrol comics that he wrote 😭❤️ It was just one of those magical things I couldn’t have planned better if I tried. I bought a lot of stuff. I could have stayed for hours.
