Jungkook is at this point convinced he's done something and youre punishing him for it. That's not the problem- but if you're really punishing him, this is taking it way too far.

"Namjoon, Jin, let's go over the actual steps one more time." you walk back to where Jungkook is sitting in the corner, jacket over his lap and phone in his hand. He looks oddly tense though- but maybe he's just yet again a little jealous of you interacting with the boys.

"oh come on big baby." you tease lightly as the others practice. You reach for the jacket as his grip suddenly tightens on it- and your eyebrows raise at that. "you okay?" you wonder, leaning forward to check his face as his other hand let's his phone go, instead pulling the side of your shirt up, covering the top of your shoulder with an irritated gaze. "wait-" you ask, before you're trying to pull on the jacket again.

"Can't you see that I'm trying to hide my boner here?!" he grits out quietly, and your eyes widen before you stifle a laugh.

"Kookie what the fuck." you laugh, and he rolls his eyes at your amusement, praying to whatever god there is that none of the guys notice.

And luckily, they don't, because Jungkook sneaks you two out into an empty dressing room, locking the doors as he now hurriedly pushes your underwear down before tucking your skirt in to protect it from possibly getting dirty. "Fuck." he curses under his breath, ridding himself if his sweats and boxers as well. "I'll pull out, I promise, but I need to-" he urges, searching for your permission, and at your nod, he breathes out a sigh of relief, before pushing his painfully hard cock inside. "what the hell did I do to you huh?!" he curses quietly into your ear before he puts your arms around his neck, lifting you up to take you standing upright. Muscles flexing, he quickly finds a good hold on you, starting go move. "dancing in that short skirt right in fucking front of my face." he scolds, desperate but careful not to be too loud. But oh, the things you do to surprise him sometimes.

"If we were home I'd have you screaming, I swear." he promises out of breath, before his head leans down fo kiss, bite, and suck at your neck, leaving his marks along the way in his feverish actions. it's only when you've come undone on his cock, release splattering onto the tiles underneath your feet, that your legs wrap around his naked hips, keeping him close. "baby, fuck-" he curses, resting his forehead on your shoulder as he feels himself cums inside, your cunt all warm and tight around his pulsating length. ngl thomas boleyn wanting elizabeth to get his lands got me. i wish people gave him a chance and didn't act like he was some monster. so why didn't elizabeth get them? and is it true henry "seized" hever once thomas' mom was dead? shouldn't that have gone to mary?

It got me, as well.

I'm of two minds on his reputation, however, as far as that goes...I don't think he deserves to be villainized to the extent he has been (he was human, and protective and proud of his family, and cared for them, as several details of evidence suggest, such as Anne's letter from 1513 which he kept 'perfectly preserved'), but also, I do like...get it? He was a flawed man, he was not above throwing his weight around when he felt challenged or disrespected, and his lack of support for his literal daughter when she was widowed (until his other daughter and the King intervened to pressurize him to provide more financial support) cannot be defended.

Also while I do love Mackay's biography and believe it was illuminating, my take was that the apologism went too far. While Boleyn did not sit on the actual jury which condemned two of his children, he did sit upon the one which condemned the lower-ranking men of 'adultery with the Queen'. This was his choice, as much as the narrative of "refuse the King at your own peril" (or, indignatio princips mors est, iyw) remains strong, more often (until it came to issues of supremacy), one refused the King at the loss of their own status, favour, preferment, perhaps wealth and land.

Tl;dr "Thomas Boleyn did not have a choice" gives me the same feeling of when "AB, JS, KH, KP" (sometimes even COA and Anne of Cleves...weirdly) "didn't have a choice in marrying Henry VIII" is said. I'm wary of minimizing the agency and choice of, particularly, those of the highest echelons of society, esp. when we're dealing with an era where victims of brutality of comparatively little agency (Mark Smeaton, etc.) also numbered significantly. The Tudor nobility had more access to choice than most people of their time.

As far as Hever, I don't believe it was seized after the death of Margaret Butler, it does seem to have gone to Mary, although I don't really have a firm grasp on the details (like, my understanding was that it was granted to Anne of Cleves, so...?):

"With no heir, Thomas' properties reverted to the Crown, including his earldoms. Prior to his death, it seemed that Thomas had begun to reconcile with his only living daughter, Mary. Within weeks [of the death of Thomas Boleyn], Thomas' daughter Mary Stafford and her husband [...] received much of Boleyn's property portfolio, including Hever and Rochford Hall." Among the Wolves of Court: The Untold Story of Thomas and George Boleyn, Lauren Mackay

The official Hever Castle website, however, states that James Boleyn inherited Hever and sold it to the crown in 1540 (which would explain how it could be granted to Anne of Cleves, I suppose, although it seems like there's a gap here...perhaps Mary sold it to her uncle, who then sold it to the crown?)

It was specifically Thomas Boleyn's lands in Essex he had wanted to grant to his granddaughter ('begun' to reconcile is maybe key here, he had, for one, not really been supportive of Mary since she was widowed in 1528, and only was when pressurized to do so, & usual precedent would suggest they should have gone to Henry Carey, but then, Elizabeth had not been reinstated into the succesion by the time he made this will, which was probably a factor in his decision, there was no guarantee she'd be entitled to any lands after the King's death in that context); and I haven't had much luck in finding out if they were ever granted to Elizabeth once she reached her majority. The only mention of her ever even holding any property in Essex (while 'Lady Elizabeth') I managed to find was dated during Edward VI's reign and refers to an exchange, not an inheritance:

"In the reissued patent letters of April 1551, Elizabeth lost her Northamptonshire holdings of Apethorpe, Wadehowe, Woodnewton, Tansor, and Yarwell, which as noted earlier had formed something resembling a local concentration of properties. In exchange, she acquired the nearly inaccessible manors of Norton Bawson in Devon and Bysleigh in Gloucestershire, along with some small manors in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Essex." BEST EXPERIENCE : when i first entered the animanga rpc i had a really, really good time from the get-go ngl. for a while, right until my revival in 2024, i was sort of more into the 'western / live action' side of the rp media, and i kept remembering how much of a good time i had in the animanga rpc, which triggered my interest in returning.

my other best experience is basically when i learn from my dearest mutuals then how not to be afraid to project ur muses' voices into their narration, which allowed me to have incredible fun with exercising different mindset and speech patterns and/or different dialects since!

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : uhhh this is pretty specific to my experience and quite particular — thus i hope to elaborate it well — but i highly dislike when writing partners tried crafting our threads into only benefiting / leveraging their own muse(s) rather than it being a collaborative effort for both our muses' character development. this happened to me only ... twice so far ? so it's quite rare considering i've been writing for ten years, but i'm suuuuper sensitive about this.

so for example right, what usually happens is me and my writing partner would talk about our muses and we see common ground and where we could expand on a point of conflict. both our muses then benefit from this point of thread because the narrative we've written ought to challenge their perspective, and this can be driven with angst, drama, whatever genre this can be explored in etc.

now what i'm pointing out specifically is when the writing partner would only try to have their own muse's emotions and challenges on the forefront of the plot, with no consideration to mine, which i think defeated the purpose of roleplaying in entirety because roleplaying especially is supposed to be a collaborative effort for all writers involved. but no, it's their muse's pain that's significant. it's only their suffering that outweighed everyone else's, and my character typically is became an "affirmation" or a "booster" to their muses' experience.

i have a few turn-off's but this one is definitely one of the highest.

MUSE PREFERENCES: oh maaaan, i've written characters from sooo many ranges. typically it's whoever tickled my brain at the moment <333 but lately i do realise i'm often drawn to

(1) outwardly soft-looking people (2) have crazy dedication value; sometimes absurdly loyal to a cause / person (3) most of the time they're brown-haired and/or dark-haired (4) a lot of them give earthy and/or green vibe

and if it's the opposite, it's either someone struggling with their temper and/or have their viewpoint challenged or exploited. don't believe me, check out my western multi as well to see where i'm ticking the boxes. ( i'm on hiatus there but still. look at the muses. )

PLOTS OR MEMES : fuuuuuuck. i'm super bad with first-time plotting not gonna lieeeee. listen, my attention span's crap. my method is usually this: we plot minimally ( usually to establish the timeline and/or where our muses stand ) and then i prefer winging the first thread, usually to gauge the pace of the writing, ur muses' thoughts and/or reactions so mine could bounce off of yours, and then i'd rain in your IM / discord to yap my way into ur heart 🫶 i looove when my mutuals would yap at me right back. i love substances, and i love context. i love knowing what my partners want to achieve or what they're satisfied / dissatisfied with so we can work around that. so yes, thread > plot > memes.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : wish i'm a short-replier. born a long-replier. working on making my paragraphs more concise though. that's on my 2024 writing bingo for sure!

BEST TIME TO WRITE : when i want to 💀 and i have no idea when. usually when i'm rested enough so if i'm dead tired on friday, there's a chance i'll still be ghosting the dash on saturday. i try not to........ push myself so hard on my availability, which is why it's important i stress out how i am a low-activitiy blog, because i know that even if i push myself when i don't want to, it won't work. my brain would dead-ass refuse to cooperate.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : i'm definitely flawed, which is something i like exploring with my muses, because i think i've tried so hard since i was 15 to be perfect. that isn't to say my characters and i share the same flaw, but unlike in real life, exploring my characters' area of weaknesses and how that can have its consequences is perhaps a catharsis for me since i could safely navigate it within a narrative i could ( somewhat ) control. it's freeing. writing has always been freeing in that sense.

I mainly write for the Harry Potter fandom, though I did write one Star Wars fic (dipped my toes into Obikin). I’ll post it in English some day.

I don’t know if I have any angsty endings in my fics but probably By my side is one of the angstiest stories I’ve posted on AO3. Just your average Midsummer fic with some necromancy and raising someone from the dead.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

They all have happy endings, but probably A lesson in love, which has a feel good ending, or Specialised in you where they get to a happy ending through some initial angst and drama. Feels even happier then, doesn’t it?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

None so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Nobody should have to deal with it.

9. Do you write smut?

Yesss. Whatever they end up doing, there’s usually an emotional connection there because that’s how I prefer to write intimate scenes. But ngl, half the time I'm pushing myself to get the words out because I still think "oh no, is this really awkward" but then I remember the post I saw here on Tumblr where an actual published novel had the cringiest smut I've ever seen, and I'm fine again. We've all got this!

10. Do you write crossovers?

No.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I’m aware of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I translate my own fics.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Years ago I wrote a few HP crack fics together with others.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

James/Sirius. (To quote Snape: Always. 💀) Almost from the start. Sometime before the fifth book came out I was completely into Prongsfoot. Not counting years.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

I don’t post anything until I finish it first, so I have no hanging WIPs on AO3. But I have plenty in my WIP folder. I like to remain hopeful that I’ll end up writing them eventually. Not going to stress about anything.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I can come up with some nice plot ideas, funny and tense scenarios and good banter between J and S.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

My ability to finish fics and focus on one fic at a time has felt difficult lately. I don’t know why I seem to run out of steam when I have the last third left. Also descriptions are hard for me, partly because while I love how they set the mood and make the text more vivid, I’m always eager to just write what the characters are doing and saying to each other. Descriptions in English are especially hard because it’s my second language and I’m always guessing if what I write has the right nuance and tone etc.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

Sure, why not if it fits the story. I added a very minimal amount of French flavour to Fashion and hoped that no one would get too pissed off about it (mostly because of my poor attempt to write French English accent, not the actual French in there).

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter. The first fic I ever posted as a teenager was a humour fic where Harry and his friends time travelled into the past and for some reason all the guys had to take part in a beauty competition (Mr Hogsmeade ’76) hahaha. This fic does not exist anywhere online anymore.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Specialised in you is dear to me because it was not supposed to become at all what it is but James Potter took over the plot and I was a mere scribe at that point. Also I have a 20k Prongsfoot fic in Finnish that I haven’t translated into English yet but it’s the apple of my eye. I did a lot of research and put so much time and effort and all my Prongsfoot feels into it. It’s loosely inspired by the film Velvet Goldmine i.e. glam rock, glitter and S pining for J.

Initial Thoughts on TOMORROW X TOGETHER's The Name Chapter: Freefall

Ok so i just listened to TNC: Freefall in full and damn, okay. Really solid album, sonically. And i say sonically bc i haven't read up on the lyrics just yet (i don't think the eng trans are out yet ☹️)

Am loving how they're showcasing more of their vocals (txt lower register enthusiasts, we are being fed at last 😭) and the whole band/session feels of the music really emphasizes that.

can we take a minute to talk about beomkai's vocals?? bc i really think this might be their era 🥹 and seeing as all of the boys have at least 2 credits to their name in this album, it really feels like this is their sound, and their personal music preferences came through too

i'm on the fence about DILT's inclusion in the album though. we all know it was not a planned track at all but it was a really good opportunity for them to collaborate and have a fun summer track out before headlining lolla 2023.

that said, it just doesn't seem to fit in (at least sonically) in this album. i don't know if moving it higher up in the tracklist would have been better since i haven't read the lyrics yet but sonically, it might have worked more since the more powerful/complex sounding tracks are in the first half, imo

but overall, this album is full of surprises, and very good ones at that!! I'm sure i'll love it even more when i listen to it again but yeah, from the first listen alone, i would recommend this album!!!

BOC 2023 Projects Lineup Thoughts

I'm waiting for more translations to come in post-event, but I think it's starting to show that BOC definitely cannot produce a stream of shows. They can only do 5 major projects with airing dates in Q2/3:

The Hidden Character reality show - would take some planning but minimal production prep, plus a hint on a possible new series being written for the "couple" this show would generate. NGL, it could be a very bomb ass concept OR the worst idea. Depends on how they handle it. Plus I had the impression the other 16 actors on their roster can audition for this new horror/thriller series.

Wuju Bakery (JBC series) - This was the actual surprising reveal of today for me. I thought they might pair Barcode with someone else. But they get some slack production wise on this because it's in collaboration with a Korean production company.

4 Minutes (BBB series) - They were being very vague about the premise, and while Sammon is on it, I get the feeling it isn't quite fleshed out yet beyond a just-about-written script.

Man Suang (Movie) - I wanted an updated teaser at least, but it seems they scrapped the original storyline hence why (I think) they don't have one yet. I understand it likely is the biggest production out of the lineup, but I'm also concerned that they're shooting for the stars so much, they cage themselves into paralysis mode. In any case, I suppose the point was to showcase the tour de force behind the movie production as it seems to be where a number of resources are going.

KP 2023 and KP WTF: From what Pond said, Vietnam is their last stop, the tour isn't profitable (🤣😭) and the cast are doing this because they want to give back to fans. So I'm not going to make any complaints lol but seems the 2023 one will have 60-70% different content, and WTF will have them exchanging roles/performances (?) The exchanging is what I'm interested in tbh

Not a major project but MA will be on Woody FM so looking forward to that!

Other thoughts:

I kinda wasn't super banking on a KPTS S2 because of rights purchases etc and I at least didn't have to be let down by not hearing about it 🤣 it could still happen though

I did want a new MA series but given earlier release of the movie than they originally estimated (now in August 2023) plus the character and production prep they have to do, I'll be grudgingly understanding about them not committing to any other project yet; from what I can tell the movie will get lion's share of resources for 1H 2023

I did not fail to see that most filming work would be done by end Q2 and so I am predicting a 2H 2023 lineup announcement (optimistically) or we get a world tour resumption (hopefully with other stops); I would prefer the former over the latter

Hopefully Pond gets work for the rest of the roster, though, because there are 8 other actors without projects unless they're slotting them into the JBC and BBB shows (but wouldn't they announce that?)

This also partially confirms to me that MA's other projects may be more around brand deals, advertising work, etc.

As an introvert I do want to say this event could have been compressed, less dragging; in fact could have been an EMAIL (slash video teaser) so there is that. I think they met my minimum expectation aka that they wouldn't have enough resources for a whole bunch of shows, but I'm still allowed to feel disappointed that I'm not getting a new MA series.

I'm just going to have to hope they'll produce a great film I can... watch on torrent or smth with fansubs kabdiebxie

I really love your attention to detail in separating out the differences and nuances between the dance styles of the brothers - there are plenty of similarities and yet they're all different enough for it to be unique. i played badminton as a kid. i did ultimate before i realized that would be too much running and now i do spikeball, which is excellent for people who hate sports. but i seriously do love spikeball because as someone who doesn't really Sport it's not too hard (minimal amount of running, focus on hand eye coordination and reflexes) so it's accessible to people who aren't athletic (me)

bro what’s ur skin care routine

First of all thank you for this much needed ego boost <3 second dont let the walls of text scare you its actually moderately simple

I try a lot of things, but typically I use the fuck out of these three face washes

The first one is what I use everyday in the shower and scrub tf out of my face with bc it's gentle enough that it doesn't hurt when I do that but it's not like... super light it actually makes me feel clean. I also use it on my armpits for that reason.. the peach one is just super good at getting makeup off I actually just use this one when I wear dark eye makeup and I also scrub the hell out of my skin with a more coarse washcloth when I do use it for makeup removal.

The third one has the consistency of the useless foam handsoap in most public bathrooms and I bought it bc I thought the packaging was cute lol but I actually just use this throughout the day when my skin feels gross like after sweating a lot? It's useless as a main cleanser but it's great as like a pick me up and especially if you work gross jobs. If this existed when I was still cleaning toilets I would have used it on my work break to at least feel like I got the germs off me midday lol.

ANYWAYS the potatoes of my skincare are these

Vanicream is a godsend if you have any type of disorder that makes you dehydrated or fucks w ur skin. I have EDS so my fiance actually bought this for me after resrarching what exactly EDS tends to do to skin. I use it on my face after exfoliating and I use it as a conduit for tea tree oil (three drops for one half pump. Bc putting tea tree oil directly on skin isnt good in the long run) and that's what I wear to bed.

The skin proud ones I got bc they were cute and I wanted something lighter for my eyelid area and they do that fantastic. I use the pink one the most but since it's so fucking hot rn I've been using the blue one which has some sort of menthol in it to keep me cool and from putting sweat right back into my cleared out pores.

My preferred spf no longer is sold so I switched to this one last year... not as good as my former fave but it does make my skin feel very soft and I can put it on my eyelid area without it stinging. You need to rub it in good and it feels a little icky until it dries down but it's not a grease-fest like a lot of spf is. PLEASE DONT SKIP... it's the most expensive thing in my skincare and the one thing you can't just get at Walmart or ulta on here but it is definitely worth it. I live with the highest UV in the usa and it REALLY fucking does its job lol. Also its one of those products that lasts ages me and my fiancé both use it face and décolletage and we got it last year sane bottle.

So in step form I shower at night and scrub my skin with some kind of exfoliating cloth with the pineapple enzyme... (or the peach one of I was wearing makeup) I actually do the dry wash technique too which is where you put the soap on before your skin gets wet since it gets into the pores better and does its job better. When I have time at least once every two weeks I actually massage it into my skin for ten mins with no or minimal water (just make sure your hands are clean first) and exfoliate + rinse in the shower. Ngl I mostly do it that long bc it feels good on my face muscles, you only need to do it 3 mins max

Then I use my vanicream with 3 drops of tea tree oil and go to bed.

The most high maintenance thing about my skin is that I'm a huge germaphobe and I use a clean pillowcase and wash cloth almost each time I use them. I handwash my pillow cases with antibacterial handsoap and hang them up to dry overnight just so I have clean pillowcases to use later without having to pay to use a washer all the time bc who tf has time for that or coins. I usually replace my pillowcases every 3 days. (Or the main pillow I put my face on, the other ones idc)

When I wake up I have bedhead so I shower really quickly to remold my hair and use the pineapple stuff again but I use my actual moisturizers instead of vanicream when I get out and I put them on about 15 mins before my spf. (Spf is the last thing I put on before I leave which isnt recommended professionally but idc) and I use very hot water but I do a little rinse with cold water to feel extra clean for some reason. I dont think it does anything i just think it feels nice ^^;

And... that's it really. After running errands I might use the foam cleanser after washing my hands bc I'm weird and I wash my hands too much XD but yeah thats all it takes for me. My genetics arent that great but my OCD and germaphobia make up for it because really my skin is the way it is because I dont let bacteria feel welcome for a second even if I'm doing dirty work. :P I'm also hyper aware of when sweat is jamming my style because I hate the feeling of sweat on my face so i have a built in tattletale for clogged pores phhh

(I also should say as a disclaimer that I only wear eye and lip makeup and I think foundation is annoying ;;0;; I used it a few times and my skin hated it each time. If you use it make sure you use tea tree oil before bed and when waking up, your skin will need the extra hand kicking the makeup out!)

My Short Review of Honkai: Star Rail after ~2 Weeks

Hi!! This is gonna be my first post here.

If you’re a gacha games observer, Genshin/HI3 player or general Mihoyo enjoyer you are most likely already know that they just released a new game, that is Honkai: Star Rail. I prereg this game and made my account on the first day, and this is my loose review about the game so far. Please note other gacha games I’m currently play daily are Fate/Grand Order and Genshin Impact. I also tried Arknights for some months so maybe there will be comparison to them.

Combat: 7.5/10

I don’t like turn-based system for the God’s sake (looking at you, FGO) but the way they have AUTO really escalated the rate for me. The turn-based here honestly more fun than I thought!

Art: 8/10

OK. As expected

Music: 8/10

What should I critic from Hoyo-Mix

Exploration: 7/10

Please keep in mind this isn’t an exploration-focused game like Genshin. It does, however has funni descriptions about items, reminds me of 2D exploration games (something like Undertale).

Story: 7/10

I’ll be honest I play this just as a ‘gacha addict’ outlet and don’t really pay attention to the story, but imo this one’s harder to digest than Genshin, maybe HI3 player can understand better though.

Characters: 7/10

Not very much attachment too, heheh;; Unlike Genshin where I was very attached to Venti after 3 seconds in the game. But the MC is a menace of society, real rate is THE RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN/10.

Also they have “chatrooms”!! This is very cool, because I think they can keep any character relevant with this.

P. S. They REALLY need to add more battle voicelines. You’ll go crazy listen to “the rules--” everytime you turn up the volume.

Worldbuilding: 7/10

I’m not much a fan of their worldbuilding concept tbh, I think “planet” as a chapter’s setting is too massive, so many aspects about it left unpolished (one nation/planet isn’t very believable to me). But maybe I just don’t understand well.

Grinding: 9/10

AUTO mode is gamechanger. You also can change a relic’s main stat once/patch. Honestly this is the one that can make me linger around longer in this game. GI and FGO both aren’t this forgiving in time spent on farming :’D

Also unlike Arknights, u don’t need three stars or something to start AUTO your way out.

Endgame: 9/10

NGL, this game has better endgame content than Genshin. A LOT. It has something called “Stimulation Universe”. I think it’s similar to Arknights’ Annihilation that reset every week and earn rewards based on points. So rejoice if you’re strategy games enjoyer and like to play around with character builds, this game is good for you.

Gacha: 5/10

Why even bother. Just go with your starter characters.

UI/UX: 7/10

Dear Mihoyo: SKIP and LOG button WHEN??!!

Overall enjoyment: 7.8/10

Yeah weird numbers, but this is my overall, subjective rate. This won’t be my main game but since they’re not as grindy as my other games I think I can keep up by just playing casually. The minimal amount of grind also helped in increasing enjoyment in the overall strategy gameplay.

Unlike when u play Arknights where you have to massively build so many characters with so limited items and pretty hard stages (even for farming for early player) or Genshin with their chaotic artifacts farming..or FGO with their horrendous amount of doing the same 3-turns farming manually. If I had to go through things like that again here, I’ll drop the game immediately.

End Note (if still want to read, or just skip, lol)

If Star Rail was published before Genshin I doubt I’ll ever try it. Back then the only gacha game that can keep me for so long was only FGO (Since 2017, dear God) because I was soooo invested with their story and characters despite I have a massive hatred with their gameplay (lol).

I often got HI3 ads on Youtube and I thought their visual is cool. But the game itself never interest me, because the playable characters are like 99% waifu so no, I prefer to have pretty balanced amount of dudes and chicks. Then in late 2020 Genshin was released, and I’m like... this is the one... the one I’ve been waiting for!!!!

I may write other long essays about why I was drawn to Genshin very much. And I was right, it was the only game that can pull me out from my FGO exclusivity, and made me realize that HI3 was not just a mere “waifu” game, and they give faith for me about HSR that was still in the beta back then.

Tl;dr Honkai: Star Rail is good. Don’t worry.

slightly off topic, but this has made me think of something interesting. That with Vanderwood's minimal appearance, people who aren't paying enough attention or using their brain can get such an incorrect vision of him -- and even amongst those who think it through like you do, i imagine there's quite a lot of preference/opinion based conclusions (derived from what we are given canonically) that may differ from one person to the next. which is understandable. (but correct me if im wrong, you probably know better than i do hehe) and yet, something like Little Nightmares 2, where the most dialogue we ever get between Six and Mono is whisper-shouting "hey" and "oi" at each other, and yet there's a nigh-unanimous agreement on the basic personality types Six and Mono each have. there's so many good fics out there like that for LN2, and most of them at least have Mono speaking too, and i find little to no wildly different interpretations of how he would speak.

anyways, all that nerd rambling to say that i find the differences between the two semi-related circumstances interesting lol

I think in Vandy's case a lot of people stick to their first impression of him. Which is usually that he's a cold and grumpy asshole who constantly threatens Saeyoung. And ngl at guest I didn't know how to feel about him because I had the same impression. But then you get more and more crumbs thrown at you here and there. Where it then becomes very obvious that he's actually a pretty caring person in his own way. (and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to just tell him to leave with me during V's route xD)

But I feel like it also always heavily depends on the fandom or even the kind of lore you get especially in games. Tho often times canon and fanon portrayals couldn't be more different. And sure, you can add some things etc when you feel like it fits the character, even if it wasn't mentioned. But completely changing their entire personality? Brah... Then just write about one that is the way you want them to be 😂

If Supergirl had done a Supercorp body swap ep/arc, how would you have wanted it to go from start to finish? Would it have been a bottle episode or a multi ep? And which season do you think it should have been in?

This is a tough one. Mostly because I could literally work with anything in regards to a body swap. So let's get started...

Bottle or multi ep?

Well, to clarify, a bottle episode is specifically an episode in which the story takes place in a relatively confined space, with a relatively minimal number of characters. It's a trope that is intended to save money both on set design and actor pay, which is not necessarily a treatment I would want to see visited on a body swap episode. Part of the fun of a body swap episode is seeing everyone's reaction to said swap, and also seeing how swapped characters use each other's abilities to solve external problems, so we definitely want more than just a swapped Lena and Kara stuck in a single room together.

That said, however, I would argue that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a multi-episode thing. It certainly can be, if we want it to be, but it's not an either or situation. Because we also have.... FILLER EPISODES! That's right, filler episodes where single episodes are devoted to fluffing out the personal or interpersonal relationships of the characters externally from the main seasonal arc!

Body swap episodes are PERFECT filler episodes. It's literally the "walk a mile in my/your shoes" trope. It can be used to resolve a difference in opinions, or simply a dislike between characters (nothing like needing to get your body back to inspire a little camaraderie between feuding characters, amirite?). It can also be used just to cause shenanigans, of which I am also a fan, because I've found that many actors are a) not only good at emulating their peers, but also b) freaking hilarious at it!

Which season would I prefer to see a supercorp body swap?

This one is a little tougher. I would not want a body swap to result in Lena learning Kara's secret, which eliminates most of the show's tenure, sadly. So as much as I would have loved to see a body swap somewhere in the S3-4 range, I'd have to go with sometime in the S6 canon. Which actually would have made S6 more bearable, ngl.

I would also like the body swap to resolve some kind of tension between Lena and Kara. There should have been plenty to choose from, of course, given that they never had any onscreen address of their previous conflicts, aside from "bygones". Which is a cop out. But hey, if we're sticking with canon, then it would have been somewhere around the humanity totem area. It's at that point Lena and Kara butted heads about how to stop Nyxly from continuing to use the humanity totem.

Given that conflict, the body swap could have been used to a) show Lena the kind of pressure Kara is constantly and continuously under, both as Supergirl and as Kara Danvers, and b) show Kara how vulnerable it can feel when a superpowered person makes sweeping decisions without stopping to consider anyone else's perspective. It could also have looped in some kind of witchy requirement for Lena to abstain from acting against the greater good, like maybe a three-fold return type of thing, but that would have required the writers to put in even a modicum of thought into the witch arc, but hey.

There would have been plenty of shenanigans, obviously, because it's the superfriends and KM/MB are phenomenal, but it would actually serve a character-driven purpose, rather than a plot-based purpose, and would carry more weight moving forward than a simple shenanigans-only type of body swap episode would.

Where would I want it to go start to finish?

I'm not going to do a full beat by beat, because I'm not sure I won't someday actually do a body swap fic/let. I think my thoughts above give a pretty good general idea of how I would want it to go in canon. But opportunities abound when you remove the restraints of canon. A married in S3 au swap? A post S6 swap? A 'your name' au swap?

either wants someone younger or older… i’m leaning more towards a younger s/o though bc he naturally has a “taking care” kinda vibe, and it’s sweet to see since he naturally takes care of the younger members like mark and haechan

wouldn’t ask much in an s/o, tbh. even if they’re just doing nothing, as long as lucas know he’s making you happy then he’s content with that. like when you’re smiling and loving him, then that’s all he really needs to be honest

he’s also gonna need an s/o who’s not afraid to pull him back whenever he says out of pocket things. they’re not necessarily harmful just extremely blunt at times that makes you cringe and you have to pull him back to tell him of his comments LOL

xiaojun would... not go into an r/s with a foreign partner i feel, but he will TRY if the conversation is not too awkward, save for like activities and such. like others in this post, he’ll make an effort if he’s committed to you, and only if you’re sure of dating him as well

an s/o who can calm him down. chenle uses up his energy a lot and can get worn out and just wants someone to embrace at the end of the day. i wouldn’t say its similar to taeyong who’s sometimes tired from taking care of the members, but rather in a way where it’s a little playful and bubbly in your own little circle.

it’s a different kind of happy that chenle feels with you as opposed to the joy that the members bring him.

chenle also would want someone who’s sure of themselves, more so in personality rather than apperance. he likes all sizes and colours and styles, altho leans more toward the oversized sector

SUNGCHAN

sungchan is bit mischievous, so i feel like he naturally lean towards an s/o who can kinda be the “mother slash partner” of him: either the same age or younger, leaning more toward a same aged s/o

lawd this man is so tall. i think he’d want a shorter partner, sometimes a bit awkward with the affection but overall likes to give it. plus point: he likes to see you struggle wrap your body around his to get all of him in your cuddles

he wants to be able to relate to them and wouldn’t want awkwardness, so i don’t think he would go for a foreign person as of now

sungchan likes someone to have fun with him, ofc he’s aware that he can’t take away all their problems but he would want his s/o to feel relaxed and content around him with his goofy personality

sungchan likes a cutesy style, maybe, BUT i always see him being really drawn to y2k fits!!!

JISUNG

leaning more towards the same age (+/-1). i think a noona would make him shy and a younger s/o would just feel weird to him idk.

this man is also very tall, so probs a shorter s/o,,,,, would not mind if you are tall though!! he just likes to have you in his arms instead of the other way round (so you can’t see his flushed face)

not sure if he’d commit to a r/s that is foreign, but he would try with the help of mark-hyung or something. the reason why he’d take it was because the members would help me, but if not, he wouldn’t take the risk with his idol life at stake.

jisung wants someone who’s self-assured as well, strong in mettle and who has a strong character that helps him build up his drive. seeing you in your element helps him achieve more and he appreciates that you are able to provide him with a source of motivation

jisung likes cute stuff, but he does like oversized fits!
