mini astrology observations 2/?
hi hi ! i am back with another mini astrology observations. I want to thank you all for such an amazing reaction to my “work”, and for all your positive/negative comments that you left for me. these opinions make me realize a lot and will definitely make me grow further in the future… before you move on to the reading, i want to say, that I am not a professional, so take everything lightly. as always, have fun reading <3
p.s. - photos are mine :)
...
☆ people with empty 1st house may lack life guidance or be less aggressive while voicing their opinions. on the contrary though, they might judge people based on their personality and manners, not appearance or first impressions.
☆ libra risings literally don’t have to wear makeup as they look/feel better without it
☆ in my first/last observations, i talked about the mars and/trine venus synastry and how it can be the first thing that pulls you in. in this case, mars represents the man and venus represents the woman. last time, i talked about how i got attracted to the men, who have mars in the same element as my venus but i haven´t mentioned, that all of them had virgo mars...
i have a theory of mine (that i observed on me and others) in which venus mostly gets attracted to the mars sign of same element that is positioned clockwise (e.g. scorpio -> cancer) and mars mostly gets attracted to the venus that is positioned anti-clockwise (cancer -> scorpio)…i have, however, observed this on people who are attracted to the opposite gender not the same gender, therefore, i can’t really tell you nothing about how this works for homosexuals.
-> please let me know what you think about this/what are your experiences if you have time :)
☆ this is a very random observation that you can skip if you want to…our dog it considered to be beautiful by most of the people we met/meet. he has shiny, colorful fur, symmetrical face and body color placements. i decided to check out his natal chart for fun and found out, that he has libra venus in 5th house…interpret this as you want, but i guess, that you can really apply astrology to anything :)
☆ people with sagittarius mars are the ones, who love the sports/movement the most. they are amazing at doing anything physical, so you can literally see them being great at any sport…even if they do it for the first time. they may be interested in a lot different kinds too.
☆ those with lilith in 8th house get sexualized/objectified a lot. if you have lilith (or any other lilith) in this house, you were most likely introduced to the “sexual” more early in your life. you most likely matured more faster then your other peers. also, you might be randomly called/shouted at by other disrespectful people on the streets…i was really surprised to find out, that this is not really talked about that much, so here i am…
☆ another observation i talked about in past were pisces/12th house placements. i talked about how sleepy and tired they can get without any specific reason but let me tell you…all the water signs/house placements get like this and is mostly because of said no reason or when they get tired just by thinking about working on something/having to describe something to the other person.
☆ degrees are a very important part of reading an astrology…if you have time, please learn/read about them
…
the end.
these observations were slightly shorter, so i am sorry about that :(
again, feel free to leave your feedback :)

Why isn't TTPD (based on Metacritic score) as critically acclaimed as Taylor's recent past albums, specifically Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights?
after reading the negative interviews here’s some common threads (i’m saying these as charitably as possible but like don’t get me wrong i disagree with some of these)
it’s long, and there’s definitely some tracks that could be cut (there is no common consensus on which tracks exactly, largely because they don’t actually say which ones)
the album isn’t playing in new sonic territory as much as folkmore, and to a lesser degree, midnights, especially the jack antonoff tracks
a combination of the more laid back sound, mixed metaphors, and flowery language make it hard to feel like the songs are building to something. instead it just ends up putting equal emphasis on the whole thing and thus making it all fade into the background
she’s saying she’s struggling in her lyrics but it doesn’t come through in her delivery or instrumentation
it’s still the same types of things she’s been singing about since she was a teenager, making the album seem even more muted
her songs swing from super flowery language to super conversational language and it makes the flowery language seem overwrought and the conversational language seem cringey (can not stress how charitable i am being with this. the amount of reviews that will just take a lyric out of context and be like, isn’t this bad? moving on!)
funny things i noticed
people still don’t like taylor swift writing songs about things that happened to taylor swift and at this point i just don’t know what to tell them
there’s a lot of thinly veiled, or just outright said, “young fanbase means bad art” going on
the paste’s review is ridiculous. in one paragraph she’s like “she’s too relatable!” and in another she’s like “she’s too unrelatable!”. i’m pretty sure it implies taylor wrote my boy only breaks his favorite toys to capitalize on barbenheimer. like. i get having someone who isn’t a fan of taylor review her album but at a certain point it’s like, well yeah if you’re looking for reasons to not like taylor swift then you’ll obviously find them. and like, for a random hate listen, fun whatever, but if you’re going to be professionally reviewing her album at least be consistent about why you hate it (also. side salad. whenever people hate taylor but love cjr i’m like. right cool uhuh you sure are invested in not liking taylor as a personality trait rather than a matter of taste)
everybody likes but daddy i love him. even the most negative reviews were like, to be fair, but daddy i love him slaps and the line “i’m having his baby! no im not but you should see your faces” is funny (which feels a bit hypocritical in all the reviews that are like ‘she keeps writing the about same stuff that she did as a teenager!’ but like. bdilh is just that good so i understand)

Maybe it's because this is the Hates Sports website but I feel like discussions on here about transgender athletes miss two very vital points:
Height is a crucial factor in almost every sport. AMAB are usually taller than AFAB on average and that's a huge reason they're usually better at sports. If you grouped people together by height i.e. played everyone who is 5'6" together regardless of gender, you'd likely still see some gender variance, but significantly less. How much variance depends on the sport and the individuals. So AFAB are at a disadvantage, yes, but it's not because women are overall inferior. A lot of it is just because we're shorter.
The sports that are typically nationally or globally popular are almost invariably things that play into male body strengths. In addition to being shorter, females also typically have less upper body strength in exchange for things like flexibility. Activities that require this, like gymnastics, figure skating, and dance, are generally not valued in this country to the same degree as stuff like football and basketball which are tailor-made for people with AMAB bodies. So there are sports where being tall isn't a requirement, the public just doesn't tend to care about them as much.
So like, yes integrate sports, but there's structural misogyny at play here that I don't think should be ignored. Of course all of this is sweeping generalizations, there's a millions exceptions, not everyone is male or female, etc, but in general I think these two points get left out of the conversation too often.

do you have any tips for fic writing?
awesome question. i wrote my first fic ever in october of last year so just note that i am a very inexperienced writer lmao. i think my best tip is to like write down EVERY idea that you have and try to build around the ones that speak to you the most. and also, write for yourself, publish for your friends. exchange ideas with people who inspire you and gas you up. i LOVE showing excepts to my friends it's literally the reason i keep writing. i think the community is amazing. also, keep reading. read and make note of what you like about others' writing. good luck, can't wait to read your works <3
