ramble of my scattered thoughts on the piece under cut as usual cuz i love talking 😋

This has been an idea I've been cookin for a while, and it was so cluttered and unlike any other ensemble piece I've made... and I decided I oughta do it anyway. I love Miku, I love Vocaloid, and I wanted to do something really ambitious and crazy for her anniversary. Crazy that she's turning her "canon" age this year TwT

I had the idea floating around since like, May...? And then finally started acting on it around June 18. I'm terrible with deadlines, obvious with how I can never make a silly birthday post in time, so I started wayyyy ahead to make sure I have some room to be lazy lol, especially with an idea as ambitious as this.

This was finished on July 12! So I had to sit on this for an annoying amount of time. Very difficult for someone like me who just wants to talk about everything I'm working on to the masses. But at the very least, that gave me the time to work on the draft for this post.

Here's some ~behind the scenes~ scribbles leading up to the finished piece!

Left is the chicken scratch plan i made in my handy dandy notebook (whenever things are getting real and ambitious, i always made a rough ROUGH plan in there. Usually I'd do a rough pass of the full thing, but this was too complicated for me to do traditionally. I majorly benefited from digital tools to make this possible). CyberDiva and CyberSongman were considered, but I ended up cutting them cuz I just didn't feel like drawing them sorry-- (just pretend they're off to the side. They gave Ruby and Clara the pizza lol). Right is the "final" completed sketch (before I decided to include Chika mid-way through coloring and VY1 and VY2 near the finish line). I started by drawing the main "groups" separated on a different canvas so I can plop them into the main canvas for easy rearranging and transforming. However I got lazy and ended up drawing everyone in the bottom right corner directly on the canvas since I liked seeing the big picture of everyone's positions. Y'know.

Almost excluded Chika! But I like her design so much that I just felt like including her last-minute. You win this time, Chika fans. VY1 and VY2 were very close to being cut! I added them when I began doing the banner and thought "eh why not". I figured their non-human designs would be pretty easy to include pushed back in the bg. Ik VY1 is more commonly associated with the fan design, but I referenced the hairpin cuz it was simpler and the fan looked very annoying to draw 😭

Sorry to the fans of many Vocaloids I had to cut because this composition was insane enough as is. I promise I wanted to include fellas like CUL, LUMi and Sachiko 😭 I will admit I was a little biased on who I wanted to include over others. Like, I don't normally care for Bruno and Clara, but I wanted to get some more international 'loids in the mix. Also wanted to stick in the realm of official designs and not fan-designs since, as much as I can appreciate those, are just a whole "wait who is that guy supposed to be" situation I didn't wanna deal with. I also did wanna include even more character references through the balloons, but they ended up being kind of ugly and overcomplicated the BG :,) (Oh, and while this was originally planned to be a Vocaloid-only piece, I did end up including Teto, Neru, and Haku 'cuz those are Miku's besties dude!!! They may not be Officially in the club but they're her girls and it would be criminal to not invite them to her birthday).

Anyway, this project marks the first time I've drawn a lot of Vocaloids. Lily, Piko, Rana, Yuki, Yukari, Miki, Maika, and many more lol. All of 'em I've heard or seen in passing, but now I actually drew them, and some have really cool and fun designs!! I got into a habit of drawing Merli after this since I just love her design for example. And I'll probably be drawing more lol!!

Oh and the last thing I'll add for now!! The cake is indeed made up of various song references!! I wanted to reference the "big four" producers, just absolute icons in Vocaloid history. The pink/black checkerboard is "World is Mine" (Ryo), the crescents on the side is "Rolling Girl" (Wowaka), the smiley faces is "Matryoshka" (Hachi), and the three hearts on the side is "The Vampire" (DECO*27, which is sort of a symbol of his whole Mannequin album tbh). I know "The Vampire" is a bit modern but I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head. I'm a fake DECO fan I know 😔 "Matryoshka" was originally going to be referenced in the colors of the candles but believe me it looked like shit so I just went for something else last minute 😭

Questions about the game: 1.Will it be possible to choose the MC gender? Is it possible to choose the gender of the cat in the same way? It's just that when I started the game, I named the cat after my cat and it was a little funny to me when the pronoun of the cat was "she" when my cat is male.

Being nonbinary, I just choose not to mention pronouns when writing for the game, so anyone can fit in their shoes. Unless it comes to a point where I have to use it, I'll probably code in a pronoun tool but for now it doesn't seem necessary! As for the cat, that's a good suggestion. Perhaps I'll try coding it in for the next update so the cat can be male or female, according to player preference!

2. Will we be able to choose some kind of "style" for the MC, according to the type of clothing, at the beginning of the game?

Probably not, as I'm not really good at setting that up in Ren'Py. I did make an MC design though! But what they look like is entirely up to you. I've drawn a POV shot of them wearing jeans and sneakers but that's about it. They can look however you like!

Questions about Mychael:

1. Does he see the world like an ordinary person?

He does! Trigger warning for unsettling iris images if you wanna look this up, but his bottom pair is kinda what people with polycoria has. Except it's normal for him, and not really a condition. His vision is normal, he just has lotsa peepers.

Yes? He didn't save you just to have you running off into danger again. He'd absolutely track you down and find you.

He knows about it, but not enough to really understand how it works! He finds it fascinating humans decorate their bodies with shiny beads and jewels, and turn their skin into tapestries for art. He'd probably assume you can take them off any time and that the tattoos are drawn onto the skin.

I don't imagine he'd want a piercing, but he'd probably try a tattoo! (Until he realizes it's ink going under the skin, in which case he might change his mind haha)

4. I wonder where Mychael gets things for the house. Where did he get them???

5. How would he react if he saw me?

He wouldn't be reacting much to how you look. You're not the first human he's seen! He's been around plenty of them, but you'd be one of the few he's interacted with the longest. And that's what makes you stand out more than anything else.

Some tips for anyone new to drawing a sick day scenario art. A few things that make it look convincing are the following:

Pajamas or Loungewear

Messy Bed Hair

Fever flushed face w sweat or at least a red nose

Tired Eye bags

Shivery body

Ice Pack or a Compress on the head

Thermometer sticking from their mouth

LOTS OF BLANKETS

Tissues or medicine surrounding them

Tea or Soup (or both)

You can add injury or angst to the scene but I'd like illness to be the main focus of it.

The scene can be anything you want to, it can be fluffy and wholesome (with a caretaker) it can be angsty, or it can be silly. Its all up to you! Do it for the sake of fluff! Caretaking scenes are the best for any kind of relationship >w<

You just think he’s being an annoying child but gojo is being gojo to mask the nervousness

“Wassup mamas you look mighty fine today” you rolled your eyes as you pass by wearing nothing but sweat pants and a hoodie.

But he’s not like this all the time he can be real sweet which makes you nervous

“Hey pretty girl did you eat today?” He asked sitting food in front of you. You shook your head no mumbling a thank you.

When he confessed to you, you laughed in his face which actually hurt him.

Like this dude is a ninja on the low! You turn your head away for two seconds…TWO SECONDS and there’s a snickers and a Arizona tea besides you with a sticky note that says ‘Eat Me’ (cute right?!)

And you did. he watches as you enjoy your little snack and realizes he’s being…creepy 😅🤣

But here comes the confession— or more like Gojo’s drunk ass slipping up.

Gojo gets shit faced at least once every two weeks and he ended up telling you Megumi has a FAT crush on you

Caregiver Dazai hcs

Warnings: None! (Surprising considering its Dazai right?)

Notes: I ACCIDENTLY POSTED THIS WHEN I HADN'T FINISHED IT YET :( anyway, I don't understand bsd characterization yet.. So if Dazai seems reallyy ooc I'm sorry :[ This is centered around reader or you~ But if you want him for actual characters feel free to send an ask and request :D

- Dazai is a very excited caregiver, he likes taking care of you and he isn't afraid to show it! He's very affectionate- Hand holding, kissing your forehead, holding you close. Lots of hugs!! And I mean lots.

- But Dazai is also secretly, very overprotective. He keeps you safe in ways you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely, but you are much too small for that !! So let Dazai cuddle you instead of walking near that alleyway- "Oh- Nope! No going over there~ It's cuddle time!!"

- Speaking of him being secretly overprotective, he's so silly that you won't notice him glaring at anybody who comes a bit too close for his liking!! If he even hears of port mafia members walking near the place you two are headed (because he obviously can sense Chuuya coming a mile away) he will switch walking routes instead of doing his thing where he purposefully walks down that road.

- He will probably baby you even when you're big, which means it's impossible to ignore your regression with him.. And you better not try. You're too busy? Not anymore!! You wanna focus on a project? Uh.. Nope!~ You can't regress? That's alright! Just let him wrap you in a blanket, give you a paci and watch your favorite cartoons together.

- Dazai uses you as an excuse alot to get out of doing paperwork- Kunikida is yelling at him and Dazai is just pouting, "My baby needs me! I can't stay here when my precious baby needs help-" and the thing you need help with is changing your cartoons, somehow it takes three hours before Dazai comes back to do paperwork.. But oh! Atsushi finished it already sooo-

- Dazai coos at you. Constantly. 24/7. You will literally breathe and Dazai is dying from how adorable you are, People know to avoid the room where you can hear the high pitched- "Awh you are such a cutie!!!- oh you need help? Ofcourse- AWHHH~~~"

- In the agency, no one cares you regress. However.. Kunikida IS TIRED OF DAZAI AVOIDING HIS PAPERWORK. So after a bit, they build you a little area near Dazai's desk where you can play.. Now he can't LEAVE. BECAUSE YOU ARE HERE- *Ahem.* anyway.

- But!. If you don't want others to know you age regress, or more specifically the agency- Then Dazai will keep it a secret! He's good at excuses, and very good at knowing when you are regressed or slightly drifting near your headspace. So if you guys are in a important meeting but you're starting to regress, Dazai literally does not care. Man will just pick you up and go "Okay cool, we are gonna leave now :D" just up and leaves with you in his arms.

- Dazai doesn't seem like much of a cook, and he isn't, but he can make the basics. You know those mom's who cut their children's lunch into shapes? Dazai does that. If you are older when regressed, he will make your food into funny shapes and HE LOVES IT. You caused him to start following millions of mom's just so he can keep getting new shapes and ideas.

- Dazai is SO into doing funny voices when you two play together, just hand him a stuffie you want him to play and he's already going into a voice and acting out things.. No matter how dramatic. And no, he isn't embarrassed about getting caught. He'll just drag whoever caught you two into it, so congrats! You'll have another playing buddy!

- If you prefer coloring, he's happy to color right with you! He started using the agency's printer to print out coloring sheets for you, (It also gets on Kunikida's nerves, I mean he loves you too! Thinks you are adorable, but seriously- please Dazai the printer is for agency matters-) and will happily buy you whatever materials you need.. Including finger paint. He's so supportive when you're messy. "All the great artists have caused messes!!" He reassures you.

- But if you are a smaller regressor, or maybe a more calm/sleepy one, he's good at being just quiet enough but still excited enough. If you are tired, he'll carry you. It's comforting to have you rest your head against his chest while he walks around, it's nice to know you are close.

- It's even cuter if when tired, you talk or do sleepy babbles because Dazai literally just nods quietly and goes "Mhmm... Oh really? Wow!" He's trying to stay as quiet as he can, but internally he's cooing :( look at his sweet baby, so sleepy.

- Dazai loves being called 'Dada', I mean, he loves whatever his baby will call him but dada makes him feel all warm inside because yes!!! He is your dada!! It makes him feel even more happy about being able to take care of you.

- Calls you 'His little star' or the most common 'his baby', Usually adds 'his' instead of just baby. A bit possessive, but he adores you too much for someone else to take care of you. "My little star, how about we cuddle and go to sleep together hm? Dada is so tiredd~"

Mission: 2 - Secure a Wife

~Comparing to Manga~ Chapter 2 (continue)

Warning?: There may be some profanity in this post, and the after half sounds silly :)

Now we know in the previous part, I have discussed the opening theme, and some first parts of the episode, now we are going to continue on Yor and the deal between her and Loid

After the phone call...

We could understand the pressure Yor is having: her brother's approval, and the condition to bring someone who is willing to help her for Camilla's party. Because, bringing some random man without knowing him is a very bad idea, as Mr. Dominic will inform this man to Yuri, and if he found out Yor still does not have a "someone", who knows what he will react?

We do know that Camilla's party is essential, for a co-worker like Yor, to attend, but of course, it's optional as well. In Camilla's thought, there's a 50-50 (or even a 90% chance) whether Yor will come or not. She will, if she found a boyfriend, and won't, if she does not. If it's a latter case, Camilla will automatically think Yor is single (at the age of 27). However, despite that, whether or not, Yor will still attend, even if it might negatively affect her dignity as a woman... but because it is for stronger bond with the co-workers, she still goes.

A sudden phone call cross her train of thought... It's "Shopkeeper", her employer from the Garden, a secret assassination organization. (we might wanna remember his name, because he will appear in the later chapters). Actually, from the voice of him, he looks rather be in the 40s, but when we see him in the future chapters from the manga, I thought he looks older than that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The "job"

Yor was ordered to meet this "fortunate" guest at Royal Hotel, Room 1307. Interestingly, did you know that "1307" is an angel number? Though this is just my coincidence, I found out that this number may actually have special meaning, that it probably describes Yor a lot. In Angel Number 1307: Meaning and Symbolism: "In terms of love, Angel Number 1307 means perfection in a love relationship. At present, you are facing some trust issues in your love life, so the angels are urging you to trust your partner. There should be an attempt to understand each other better so that the love and chemistry between you increase and not diminish."

As ordered, Yor had finally revealed herself as an assassin known as "Thorn Princess". The reason is because many details of her assassin dress has roses patterns. According to the Wikipedia: Yor wears a form-fitting halter-style black dress that shows off her shoulders and cleavage, with a rose choker and a red rose pattern on the inside of her skirt.[...] She also wears a pair of black thigh-high boots with a rose symbol at the bottom of their sole and black fingerless gloves. The headband she wears is gold colored with a rose and two spikes on each side.[...] This outfit was the only good dress she had before marrying Loid, after which she purchased more formal wear to better present herself for Eden Academy's interview.

It is said that she had been doing this dirty work at a very young age, and it was later revealed that she did this job after her parents' death, leaving the siblings alone as orphans. To take good care of Yuri, somehow, Yor became an assassin, trained under the Director (appeared in the Cruise Ship arc's chapters). With that, she made a lot of money to buy things for Yuri to study. When she was young, she worked day and night to financially support the two, until Yuri was finally able to get a good job, she only needs to do night shifts as she may not need to get much money like before.

Though this is unrelated, Yor demanded: "May I have the honor of taking your life?" in the manga, while the anime: "I'm sorry to have bothered you, but could I choke the life out your body, Mister?". The anime made Yor so "polite" to the victim, and she just said "choke the life out your body", leaving so much bloodlust >:)

You may also notice, in the anime, the dead bodies were not shown full body nor clearly, yet it only shown some parts that does not contain the bloody scenes, or in dark shadows.

Mr. Curly Hair returned

A very funny detail that was not mentioned in the anime: Anya was shocked whether or not Franky become the new mom

A very cute detail: When Franky was angrily shouted at Loid, Anya was so scared, she hid behind the sofa. And when Anya asked if she was a bother, Loid gently pat her head :3

Yor meets Loid

As you can tell, Yor silently walked pass Loid without him recognizing, and even knowing that she is being stared at, surprised him a lot. That is because Yor had been going under many trainings to become an assassin.

Secretly sneaking behind a target without being realized was one of the basic skills, by covering much of your bloodlust, the target may see you becoming invisible behind them (I learned that from Killua, one of the Zoldyck's family members in the anime Hunter x Hunter)

To cover up the reason why he's been targeting Yor, he had to made up a reason because she's pretty (Is that a lie!? That's just literally mean you can flirt with her!)

And then Anya interrupted the two's conversation 😏, and accidentally read Yor's mind. Lucky that Loid is still single, otherwise, she would've killed his wife :)(which he doesn't have one) Anya's so shocked that Yor is an assassin!

Spy + Assassin = Waku waku! - Anya Forger~

This is so perfect, Loid needs a woman to be his "wife", and Yor needs a man to be a "boyfriend", To kill two birds with one stone! Anya has to act so well to get these 2 together, be sure to thank her later, Loid!

Loid is very good at lying, he even lied that his "ex-wife" really wanted Anya to attend the prestigious Eden Academy, even a 5-year-old can figure that out, but Yor believed him :) And so, they'll meet each other at Saturday night.

Before the night~

As it seems, the anime has a name of the shop Anya and Loid went to, DLID, open from 8:00 to 21:00. This was not shown in the manga, I dunno why?

And I was actually searching for the meaning of this sequence of numbers in Twilight's secret extra mission... And I really don't know the meaning of this numbers at all. At first, I thought you have to translate the numbers using the japanese alphabet, but then I forgot that Japan has 4 alphabets, and I dunno Japanese, so I can't really translate this message full of numbers. I really dunno if Tatsuya Endo writes random numbers or he writes the sequence of the code in numbers.

However, I do notice number 95822 was repeated 2 time in the second row. Number 58919 in third row 2nd column was a bit similar to 18951 & 58921 in fifth row; so my prediction that these numbers may have the same words, or sounds, or even handwriting (if we are talking about Japanese alphabet). Well I can't guess the sequence of the numbers, but generally, there are many numbers that are really alike, they may have small changes in the position of the numbers, or some numbers are changes into different ones.

Also fact about this numbers: When I try adding the 5 digits numbers together, some sums are the same, like 32076 in first row and 22482 in second row have sums of 18, 23486 and 84272 in the first column row 3 and 5 have sums of 23...

Secondly, if you minus and plus the sums of the number in sequence -+-+-+..., like (6+4+6+5+6)-(9+0+6+5+9)+(3+2+0+7+6)-(2+2+4+8+2)-.....+....., all the way to the end, it will = -1 :))

Yes, it took me some time to calculate this sequence of numbers :))

And how surprising that it is on Saturday, and also the day he met Yor for her friend's party. Not good, bro!

The night mission

While Loid was with Franky going on a secret mission, Yor was waiting him for very long... hoping that he wouldn't get into any trouble...

Well, they actually were. The bad gang noticed, and they were trying to capturing the two men. The little difference is: In the anime, Twilight was less panic, and calculating the situation, while Franky quickly ran away with the "treasure", yet in the manga, it seems that he was a bit more panic, as he was running and taking care of the gang.

And in the manga, we can tell that when Twilight decided to get the ring, he seems emotionless... while in the anime, he seems to smile a bit!

And there you have it! A car crash during an extra mission! :)) Classic~ right at the time Yor was being lonely at the party :)

The party night

Who left an innocent and beautiful lady at this time bruh!?

Tips for men, if you are going on a "date" or hangout in general with a girl, don't make she wait for you, like how Loid did to Yor, instead, girls can be a bit late for boys >:))) But honestly, both of you should be on time, for great first impression~ if we are talking about first times~ But that's not happening to me :")) Me single bruh

Yes people, this is from wiki: "Yor has been left waiting at the station and she assumes she has been played, but decides to attend the party on her own to prevent her brother from worrying."

And yes, I'm not gonna describe the details of what happened at the party, go and watch the episode by urself, Im here to say that this sassy little b1tch Camilla and her coworkers keep bullying Yor. To make her miserable or something bruh

But you know what they say, He laughs best who laughs last. Loid showed up right on time when we was still covered in blood and bam!: "Yor my wife, Ima her husband!" >:DDDD (evil laughing with broken english~)

And booom, jealousy Cam (I call that shorten for Camilla, keep error tying stuff), Loid too handsome and nice -> Ship TwiYor now! (is this ship outdated?)

And she threw out her trump card, badmouth Yor:

And then, bam! Loid stepped in! (This is too good! I cannot summarize the dialogue :")) ) Bruh he left her speechless, and she is grasped with admiration~

This is literal flirt? Twiyor canon ?

The revenge? Confession!?

As Loid truly apologized to Yor for what happened earlier, and we do seem know what was about the happen next, and since this is not a spoiler for next episode or anything, I won't go full details about the fight

I will now focus on the conversation between the two. In the anime, Loid seemed to speak more calmly about the "incident", but somehow, the manga made him speak a bit overreact?!

When suddenly,... you know what happened next. The remnants of the syndicate earlier, they want revenge bruh. I don't think they know that was Twilight. Man, he kept his identity too well, and also his lying is not bad (but ofc can't fool Anya). Yor believed his words that they are his patients. Because you know, in "believe" there is "lie"

And omg, in the manga, he thought:

But it is totally different in the anime, not as the insult:

And one of them almost killed Twi-Loid, and check at Yor people:

This might be the lamest excuse Yor has ever come up.

Seriously, though, how is it possible for a woman to kick a man jumping behind you, so accurately and so strong that he rolled and hit the wall. No wonder why Loid was speechless...

Because physically, a woman cannot hit a man with her legs that strong, the worst scenario would be he fell immediately on the ground, not suffering a few more rolls :))

And finally, the one-and-only confession, "He notices a grenade near an unconscious smuggler and grabs it before ducking behind a generator. Loid pulls the pin and hurls the grenade at the smugglers while using the pin as a wedding ring" (because he lost it) for Yor, (and they got "married")

I mean, before that, our man Loid was shocked, he fell on the ground :P

HEY!! actually wrote these all out u can tell where i started going off of mostly appearance for these because i only really know a few qsmp characters help obviously not everyone but uhm. swagever (sorry for sending it to inbox it was too big to fit in the comments on that other post)

Tubbo: Groyvle (Frozen in time/Time related things. Looks like how I imagine her, I like the idea of him not being a fully evolved mon I think it oddly fits her)

Spreen: Hisuian Typhloshion!!!!! (Guy who is like darker colors and the ghost typing is such a cool like. hint towards his tragic fate of fucking dying. Plus works well with Fit and Ramon being normal types)

DanTDM: Shiny Sceptile (works mostly with my specific QSMP dragon lore but TLDR is that Tubbo and Dan are really similar genetics wise and look almost identical, but Dan's fully evolved while Tubbo hasn't really mastered it yet hence. Shiny Sceptile (which is more blue so its fitting)

Bad: Yveltal (Death vulture thing, Dark Type, God-related status, Immortal)

Jaiden: I know the obvious choice is like Chatot but. I like to think she'd be an Archeops I feel like she'd be a raptor of some kind and Archeops is like both that and a parrot it feels made for her…. SHE'D HAVE HER NORMAL COLORS THOUGH I THINK

Pac: Shiny Dusk Form Lycanrock: I like to think Q!Pac is some kind of shiba hybrid so he's GOTTA be a dog and Shiny Dusk Lycanrock is the EXACT colors

Fit: Ursaring because like. Look at it that's just him

Cellbit: Meowscarada this is another appearance based one but I REALLYYY like Meowscarada Cellbit its fun to me.

Baghera: KILOWATTRELLLLLL i dont think any of the ducks fit her and I fucking LOVEEEE kilowattrel i think it's a really fun choice for her

Roier: Midnight Lycanrock I like to think Roier is an African Wild Dog and I think it makes this guy fit him! Plus he's red and emo which is fitting i think

Foolish: Palafin! I don't wanna give him Sharpedo because i think it'd be a bit too silly, and Garchomp is for Leo, so Palafin!! Works well with me imagining him as a Sawshark anyways…

Unfriendly Norman likes heavy metal and rock, probably learned how to play electric guitar or bass.

Maybe Normans love musical instruments in general, remember stage 4 with and a room with drums and posters with guitars there? It also was a bit messy, judging by the colors and the look of that room i think it might belong to Norman.

All the neighbors are absolutely fascinated with humans and everything they do, so sometimes, Gordon has to bring down some of their silly questions.

Its implied that puppets do eat in this universe, im gonna bet that each puppet has its favorite meal! (I would like to see your ideas)

Felix Escellun

Felix has been studying all day. You're not entirely sure what for - something about a spell for harnessing the power of emotions? You're 77% sure that he's trying to find a way to prank Escell - but he's hyperfixating hard. You try to make sure he takes breaks but he's hesitant to pull himself away from his desk unless it's to get a tome from the bookshelf.

So you carry on without him. Do your studying on the floor, practice your spells in the hallway, feed Stella in the kitchen, that sort of thing. You even managed to squeeze in a nap on the couch.

Sometimes you look over to see what he's doing. Different emotions seem to lead to different colored magic. Happy is yellow, sad is blue, angry is red, love is pink, so on and so on. But from what you can tell, this is all only in theory. He hasn't gotten it to work in practice just yet.

Now the moon is high in the sky and you wanna go to bed. But it won't be easy to pull Felix away from his work.

You go over. Squat down beside him and lean your elbows on the desk so you can see his face.

He looks tired. He is tired. He's been at his desk for the last, what, 14 hours? Give or take. That's just how he gets when he's really invested in something. It's admirable that he can have that much dedication, but it's also,, not,,, healthy to be staying up like that. And from the way his brows are furrowed, he's clearly determined to push through the exhaustion.

While he never pulls his eyes away from the paper, he fluffs the tip of his quill against your nose.

"I know what you're about to say. I'll be along just as soon as I can. I know I saw a formula somewhere in this infernal book, and I will find it!"

"Wouldn't it be easier to find it if you were more awake? You look like you're about to drop."

"I most... certainly..." - he pauses to yawn, half-heartedly covering his mouth. His glasses slide down the tip of his nose, and he rubs his eyes before pushing them back into place - "am not falling asleep."

His hair is hanging loose around his head. It really is getting long. You tuck a single soft strand back behind his ear. You can see his eyes starting to close before he jolts himself back awake. So you lean closer and kiss his cheek.

"Alright, alright. You know yourself better than I do. I just think it'd be good to get some beauty sleep - but you're already so beautiful, I guess you don't need it."

..... *strangled noise of mortification*

A light yellow ball of energy - streaked with pink - sparks at his fingertips, surprising both of you.

His silver eyes widen as the sudden breakthrough wakes him up. He's positively beaming in excitement as he grabs his quill again, frantically scribbling notes.

"MC, you're absolutely brilliant!"

"I didn't do anything?"

Felix turns deftly in his seat and puts his hands on your shoulders. The bags under his eyes are deep and dark and stubborn, but at least he doesn't seem like he's about to faceplant anymore. He does seem surprisingly open though.

"You were honest. That's more than enough."

"Then I honestly think you should go to bed and get back to this in the morning."

"... Five minutes?"

You get up to your feet, kiss his cheek again in goodnight, and head over to your shared room to get some sleep. It'll be an hour at least before he finally gives in to sleepiness, but at least he's happy.

Meanwhile he spends the next ten minutes burying his face in his arms because he's so flustered that he seriously had that strong of a reaction to being complimented like that.

Anisa Anka

Sometimes you like to watch Anisa train.

Actually you always like to watch her train, but usually visitors aren't allowed on the training grounds or you're busy with Felix and Sage or Saaros.

But anyways today is a day you get to hang out with your amazing super strong girlfriend! Yay!

Oh I'm so gay for her

It doesn't take too much longer for her to finish up. After she gives her troops a few more rousing words and officially takes them off-duty, she comes over to you. Her cheeks are a little flushed, but you can't tell if that's from over-exertion or embarrassment at how adoringly you're staring at her.

"I hope I gave you a good show."

There's a teasing lilt in her voice and a grin on her lips. You hold one hand out, doing the little grabby-grab motion until she sets her hand in yours. You gently brush your lips along her knuckles, all the while looking up at her.

"You certainly did, Beautiful."

...... *hair poof*

Her eyes search your face to see if you're joking. You're not. So she looks away, clearing her throat like she's trying to keep any semblance of professionalism about her that she can.

"Not at work."

Her protest doesn't sound very genuine, though.

You laugh and finally get up from your seat, looping your arms around her waist and tugging her close. She smells like roses. You nuzzle into her neck, kissing the bottom of her chin.

"I thought you were off-duty?"

She opens her mouth but all that comes out is a little sigh as she holds you tight.

"You're incorrigible."

"Well thank you very much."

Sage Lesath

Sage is still wearing his eyepatch. Even when it's just the two of you.

No matter how much you reassure him, he's self-conscious about it. You can't exactly blame him. Not when you know the two things he associates with it; getting mutilated by the Corrupted in the sewers (he says what upsets him most about that is the fact he couldn't protect you, but you're pretty damn sure that's not the reason he wakes up gasping and clutching his body in pain some nights - he went through something horrible and traumatic and he doesn't want to admit it. You're always there for him, though, and that helps) and being corrupted.

So. Eyepatch.

He'll take it off if you ask nicely enough, but even then his hair usually curtains the eye. Or he looks away from you. Or he just keeps it closed.

The rebuild of Porrima is slow-going. People are hesitant to stay in the open for too long. Always anxious to go into the crumbling remains of buildings for fear of finding familiar faces that never got to see the sun one more time.

It happens more often than anyone wants to think about.

Luckily, the castle itself wasn't damaged (of course Mike took good care of it, he needed it for dramatic flair), so the survivors have been able to use it as their base of operation. It gives them access to a medical wing, plenty of supplies, and a safe space to breathe (once Felix and Rime and other surviving mages have purged the last of the corruption out of the building).

Sage never really liked the castle though. It was always too fancy, full of nobility that judged him and rules of etiquette he didn't see the need for. So he prefers to stay in Fathom.

(So does Tulsi, although you think she mostly just wants to stay close so he doesn't vanish again)

The familiarity is helpful. Once Sage has scent-marked everything in the room, he's more willing to sit still and relax.

Meaning you have an easier time convincing him that you wanna see his eye.

It's one of those types of nights. Sage is curled up beside you, arm thrown over your waist and cheek mushed into your shoulder. You're combing your fingers through his hair, carefully scratching behind his ears. You're talking softly about nothing of real importance. Just,,, being together. That's all.

"Hey. Sage."

"Mm?"

"Can I see it?"

In the old days, he would have grinned and stroked his tail up your thigh and brushed his fangs along your collarbone and asked you what, specifically, you wanna see.

Now he just pouts a little.

"Why?"

You lean down and kiss the top of his head, just slightly favoring his left ear in the spot he likes the most. While you keep your tone casual, your words are genuine and clear.

"Because you're beautiful, and seeing you makes me happy."

........ he presses his face further into the crook of your neck. There's a whine in his words, but it's decidedly more light-hearted than anything.

"You... You always manage to surprise me, y'know."

He slowly shifts off of you, ignoring your self-satisfied grin in favor of carefully undoing the strip of fabric. He spends much longer than necessary foucing on it, winding it up around his fingers neatly. It's fraying pretty badly. He should probably replace it soon. Maybe with a proper patch this time?

Then he buries his face in your chest and shyly peeks up at you, gauging your reaction. His hair covers his eye.

You carefully brush the strands away so you can get a good look. Smile. Smooch his forehead.

"Pretty Kitty."

His content purr vibrates your chest.

Rime Varela

Rime doesn't sleep much.

He says it has something to do with dying, or maybe it was the way Felix wrenched him back. All he really needs is an hour or two a night. Maybe three if he's been doing a lot of intense magic.

So what does he do while everyone else is asleep?

Sometimes it's studying. Other times it's practicing what he's studying.

And then other times it's a very rigorous skincare routine.

It's four in the morning when you're woken up by ice creeping up your spine. A glance over your shoulder shows it's Rime crawling into bed behind you, hugging you against his chest and resting his chin on your shoulder.

"You've been busy."

You can hear the smile in his voice.

"All this doesn't come naturally, darling."

You twist around to face him, cupping his cheeks in your palms and using the tips of your fingers to gently pin his ears back against his hair.

"Well, I've always said you're drop dead gorgeous."

....

He tries to glare at you. But you're smiling like you just told the best joke in the universe - even though you make that joke at least once a week - and he can't help but laugh.

"I'm serious!" You protest, but you're laughing too. You drop your hands but he picks them back up and nuzzles his cheeks into your palms.

"You're always serious."

You sweep your thumb along the swath of freckles that bridge his nose.

"You're always beautiful," you reply with a casual shrug.

His nose twitches and his ears flick once before relaxing.

"... Dork."

I know you said clown collector, but because I'm literally insane, I wanna take this a step further...

Reader who is just full steam ahead into the clown-lifestyle😻🤡!!

Surely, it all started at a young age with your odd habit of collecting any bit of clown-related memorabilia you could get your grubby little hands on. But it soon escalated (and I'm betting startling your parents💀) into you basically being a clown.

Well, not literally.

I mean, you entertained the idea that you were decently humorous, and the occasional animal balloon tricks were attempted, but besides that, you managed to take something known for its silly (sometimes scary) wackadoo nature, and made it ✨️girlboss✨️.

And it helped that you didn't exactly shy easy, so you were proudly showing up places in your colorful, rainbow, clown-esque outfits...

Unless, of course, you happen to have a specific and favorable color, to which then it was your clown-esque wear themed specially in that color.

And your creative makeup that managed to be both cute and clown. Clute, if you will. Or maybe Cu-own...? Uh...😬...

And you could never forget about your hair. Unless you're a huge fan of styling and coloring your actual hair in cool, funky colors and ways, wigs were your best friend...

"Places" included school, for the most part, and you had thankfully become desensitized to the rude and teasing stares and the unprompted comments and whatnot... And at some point, so did the rest of the student body and staff, because it was clear no matter what they said, you weren't gonna tone down yourself for them.

Plus, it was fun! You felt as though the positive outweighed the negatives, thoroughly enjoying the bright-eyed and excited looks on younger grade's faces when they saw you occasionally pass through their section of the building, or when you'd actually receive compliments on your makeup from some of your peers. Plus, you were routinely asked to do other people's theater makeup, so-...

You got to try out new looks, new styles, new whatever every day without a care in the world!

It was something Freddy found himself admiring about you from afar. It's not like you were exactly hard to miss, but it didn't change the fact that every seventh period, he'd wake himself up from an exhausting school day in complete, full anticipation for your arrival. He adored your outfits, your makeup, your hair, and once the day came when he'd finally gain the courage to speak to you, he'd hopefully adore you as whole, too.

That day came when you two were assigned to be partners for an upcoming project. A bittersweet emotion ran through his chest. Wasn't this what he wanted? The perfect excuse, chance, opportunity to get to know you? He was so nervous, he broke out into a cold sweat. Hands growing shaky and clammy, watching as you approached through the gaggle of other students shuffling around to get to their partners. And once finally sat, he stared, completely tuning out the teacher's next set of instructions.

At first, he couldn't bring himself to speak. For what seemed like the first time in a long while, Freddy Freeman was speechless. In complete awe by your presence (and ecstatic you hadn't grimaced or groaned when he was announced to be your partner), he admired every single detail of your purposefully paled face, the random little specs of glitter, elongated eye and mouth features thanks to eyeliner, and the outfit was definitely another one for the books.

At first, this boy's intense stare up and down your figure made you hope he wasn't actually the weirdo he was coming off as. Granted, you...did look like a clown, but once the stare surpassed the entire rant the teacher had gone on and then some minutes afterwards, you felt it necessary to speak up.

"Um... So, do you know how you wanna go about the project? Or...?"

"Sorry for- Oh my god, I-...Sorry for staring, that was probably really creepy for you and that's, like, the opposite of what I wanna do here-. I just think that this, whatever this is, this whole..." He used a big hand gesture to reference your ensemble. "...Is the coolest ever and I'm literally blown away."

"?!?😃 Oh my god, thank you 😃?!?"

And that was all it took before the two of you were hyperactively conversing back and forth on, not even just style choices, but on any and everything else that came to mind. It was like a force had been sparked between you two, the fire unable to be put out, let alone dimmed. It led to the start of an immediate and solidified friendship. Which, of course blossomed into something more. But I wanna focus on more of the "firsts" for now.

Aka, The first time you had entered his home and met his family, which was the same day y'all met. He hadn't prepped you or anything, simply guaranteeing that they were bound to love your company and to pay no mind to any comments they might make. And while sure, you were pretty much used to having that mindset already, for some reason, this time made you nervous. Nervous like the very first time you had truly discovered you even liked this style and wanted to go out in public dressed as such, nervous. It had you adjusting your pins, clothing, and other accessories the entire walk there, and you swore that you had probably stress-sweat all of your hard-work makeup away.

To keep this short and sweet, every interaction was... unique, to say the least. First, there was a tall brunette sporting prep-wear, waltzing around the house with her phone pressed against her ear and determination in her voice to ace this interview for a nearby community college. But upon seeing you, stopped dead in her tracks and (much like Freddy) s t a r e d.

"That's Mary." "Your sister?" "Yes, out of two." "She's pretty."

"Freddy, why is there a clown in our home? Darla's birthday isn't for another four months."

Ngl, that stung you a little, but nothing you haven't heard (or expected to hear) before...

"Wh- No, shut up, that's not- She's a friend from school, we have a project together. This is just what she looks like, this is how she looks." "...Oh :). Well, you're gonna have to teach me how you have such a smooth base, because my products could never. Anyways, talk later, interview..." And with a shy point to her phone, she left you with a grin that you returned, growing flattered at the compliment on your makeup.

Then there was a boy, about shoulder height with glasses, who barely gave half of a glance in your direction. It's not that he didn't see you at all. He just... didn't care. Clearly, too focused on the TV screen that he stood basically directly in front of. "Optimal gaming stance, he claims..." Freddy informed, swiftly pulling you along before you could become engrossed in the Mortal Kombat fight yourself.

You were lead to the kitchen, Freddy rummaging through the pantry and fridge on the hunt for proper sustenance while you worked together. It was there, you were met with his mother, who gave a very "mom-happy" yet clearly confused smile. "Hi...!" She greeted suddenly, which urged you to awkwardly strike out your hand for her to shake. If you knew you were gonna be literally seeing his entire family same day, you would've toned down a little bit, at least. Just to let them get used to it all... but alas...

"Hi, I'm (Y/N). I'm just here to work on a project with Freddy." "Oh, I see! A theater project."

"Nah, science." Freddy corrected with a tone of casualty, kicking the fride door closed with the stub of his crutch, his other hand/arm supporting the weight of all of his gathered snacks and drinks.

"Oh." Rosa smiled again, still innocently confused. And before you could try to explain, Freddy was already insistent on the hurry to his room. It's okay, though, because once Rosa realized what you wore was just a creative, style choice a while later, she found it just that. Creative. And totally supported and compared it to alternative styles she'd seen back in her high school days, bless her heart🥰😭.

On the way towards/up the stairs was where you encountered what you had to assume was Freddy's father and older brother, who breezed past the two of you at first, but then did quick double-takes. "Ohooh, you look sick! What is this, like a statement, or...?" You received an immediate compliment from Victor, a chuckle leaving your throat along with a shrug of your shoulders.

"Something like that, I guess." And then Pedro, who did a scan up and down your figure much like Freddy had in class, before giving a satisfactory nod.

"Cool." "Thank you :')."

Walking down the hallway en route to Freddy's room, there was one more escapade that involved your purse accidentally falling open and your makeup going everywhere. It was the glittery stuff, too, so not only was it an expensive loss, but it was now going to be permanently marked onto the hardwood floor (yes, you felt beyond terrible, but it doesn't really matter bc a. There's already stains and glitter and whatnot everywhere in that house that are permanent, Rosa and Victor have given up on them, you can't convince me otherwise. And b. They ended up renovating by the second movie anyway, so it's fine😭).

It didn't stop you from desperately trying to scoop it all up, anyways, though (cuz I would, too, ngl-). Freddy informed that he'd go to his room to set the food down and would be back to help you, which was fine, but it left you in his hallway desperately scrambling at loose makeup like a weirdo. But clearly, that isn't what Darla saw when she poked her itty bitty head out of her room at the commotion. In her eyes, you were a mystical, magical being that harbored one of her favorite things in the whole world (glitter, duh), and she squealed so l o u d-

It scared you at first, especially when she came barreling towards you and almost managed to tackle you in an unexpected but returned hug. Rambling on and on about what a honor it was to meet you, "...whatever you are...!" She added, which pulled a giggle from your lips, and how excited she was and how she had so much to show you and-

It took a lot more convincing, but after promising you'd converse with Darla another time (without Freddy💀-), she did as told and you two had finally entered his room. You found yourself quiet impressed with his superhero memorabilia, something about it reminding you of your own "little" collection back home. Maybe the obsessiveness of it all, or simply just how much of it there was. But you didn't have the pleasure of questioning, because-

"What the hell...?" "Dude, don't start-" "-I wasn't gonna say anything." "You literally were, I can tell by that dumb look on your face." "Freddy, I guarantee you, I'm not the dumb looking one in this room. And don't get me wrong, it isn't her either..." "Harhar, you're so funny. Why don't you leave and go do stand up comedy? I think you in particular would make an excellent CLOWN, don't you think, (Y/N)?"

"I... uhm...uh... ;-;." You weren't expecting a fifth sibling, that's for sure. His family was clearly very diverse. And at first, you couldn't quite tell if he was getting ready to bully you or not, seeing as Freddy was very quick with his wit in order to defend you. You wouldn't doubt it. Billy seemed to suffer from a bad case of RBFS.

Resting Bitch Face Syndrome.

"Ignore him." Freddy advised, whipping open his laptop while Billy scoffed.

"I'm right here, y'know. This is my room, too, you guys can't just-" "Okay, fine, then ignore him harder."

You giggled. It was grounds for Billy to address you separately/on his own.

"I like your outfit. It just...caught me off guard." You smiled, giving a nod of understanding. "Thanks, I get that a lot."

The first time Freddy visited your house was months after the initial meeting. Not for any particular reason, there just hadn't been any real excuse until now...

Freddy laughed at your last remark, but as we all know, the boy is quick-witted and smart-mouthed, so it was always easy for him to launch off of literally anything you say with a teasing remark that... sometimes you swore was him actually flirting. But, you couldn't be too sure. You didn't wanna ruin a good thing.

(You say as you literally bring him home to your parent/guardian(s) as if that's not the literal thing you do when-...nvm).

"Oh, so you've been gassing me up, huh~? Cute, cute... D'you tell them how much I adore you? Wouldn't want them thinking I'm neglecting you or anything." "Stop it." You giggled, nudging at his shoulder before pulling out your house key.

Freddy didn't exactly know what he expected upon entering your household. He supposed it'd reflect yourself. Colorful and creative, lots of little knick-knacks and trinkets, endless amounts of stuff to fill any empty space... At the very, very, fantasy like most, your house would be some foreign cottage in the woods that resembled a lot like the witche's candy house from the Hansel & Gretel tale (before it rotted, ofc).

So naturally, he was a little thrown off to find it was his very least thoughts that had come to play, the house almost gray compared to you. White walls, furniture organized hyper-symmetrically, every last item in its very clear-cut place. Not a spec of dust or dirt, not a thing out of place... and quiet. Almost eerily so. Well, maybe not. It could just be the fact that he wasn't used to seeing and hearing a house as such, given his living situation (loud family, messy-homey-actually looks lived in house...). But regardless-

"...I'm home!!" The call out to your parent(s) startled him for a moment, and though you did receive an answer back that sounded like it came from a room close by, it was almost like it echoed against the silence. Freddy shook it off. You didn't judge anyone or anything when you had first come over to his place, so he wouldn't do the same. If anything, they were just loose observations he couldn't help but make/notice.

But anyways- You lead him into your kitchen and there, he met your parent(s), who was quick to make a comment on how surprisingly "normal" he appeared to be. And usually, something like that might sting a little (for you, because like, uh, rude?? But dw, they meant it in a teasing/jokey way). But to Freddy? Normal? That meant the world, seeing as usually, most people couldn't see past his crutch, should they choose to see him at all. But he supposed the apple didn't fall far from the tree in the "non-judgemental" department. You must've got it from them.

That went relatively well, but here came the part you were always nervous about when inviting guests into your room...

"Woah..." The same way he was captivated by you was the same way he felt about your room. It was the splash of color amongst your house. Figures, all of what he'd expected of the whole/entire house would be crammed off into your one room, I mean, duh, where else would it be? It was littered with posters and trinkets and stuffed animals, clothes lying around that you scrambled to pick up and shove into your closet out of sheer embrassment. Even the walls were painted the color(s) of your choosing/liking, and my god, did you have so many different shelves full of things he wanted to mess with. He wouldn't, for now, waiting for the right time to ask permission before touching anything.

And then...he saw it. The corner of your room dedicated to that one specific, niche little thing you loved so much and based your entire personal being around...

The clown corner🤡.

"Oh...my god..."

You quickly spoke up before he could say anything more, the initial shock of your odd clown figurines, dolls, books, whatever the fuck else could possibly be clown-themed/related collection being enough for you to just assume the worst of thoughts he may have. "I know, it's weird. I mean, weirder than normal weird. But-" "I love you." He had whipped his head towards you just as fast as the confession left his person, a lazy smile etched into his features while you grinned almost manically because like, huh??

"...Excuse me😃?"

He shook the expression away, shaping himself back to normal as fast as possible at your reaction.

"No-! I don't. I mean, I do! Like, I meant it like, I love how you're like me, with the whole, "corner of the room being dedicated to this thing," thing. Superheroes are my thing, clowns are yours... obviously, and I love that. I love that you're me and I'm you and we're basically one."

"Freddy-..." You sighed, only able to laugh to yourself and at his rambling before gently pulling him closer to one of the shelves by the hand. "Look at this..." You encouraged, watching him lean closer to inspect some of the figurines and newspapers and other lose things in one specific place on the shelf.

"Oh my shit, that's Harley Quinn...!!" He gushed while you nodded proudly.

"My idol." You added, Freddy turning to you as you explained. "I know people consider her a villain, or whatever. Or that's she's crazy. But, I don't understand how that could be possible when the woman literally has a PhD and was an entire psychiatrist before she met Joker. Not to mention, the only reason she did half of the crazy shit she did was 'cause of that cunt-wad, so when I heard she finally emancipated herself from him, you have to understand... I literally love her."

Freddy didn't know how else to respond. Here he was, in your room, being one of your closest best friends, you talking to him (willingly, might I add, because even after all this time, he still can't even fathom how and why you genuinely love spending time with him and being his friend even though you remind the poor boy 24/7😭), and rambling to him about his favorite subject no less! And how it relates to your favorite subject! A combination of niche interests!! He-!

"I'm going to kiss you on the lips, (Y/N)." "Pfft-!" You snorted, the second confession catching you off guard in a flurry of amusement and surprise once again. But this time, he didn't have any excuses to back the claim up. Like, surely, he could easily pass that off as a joke or an intense way to say something along the lines of, "You don't know how much this topic interests me, especially coming from you, and it's making me so excited and happy and I want to talk/hear more."

But at the same time...

"What, like, actually?"

So now, you've presented Freddy with the option to mean it. For real. Which, like...

"I- Uh, like, only if you'd let me or you did it first or something." He laughed boisterously. "I wouldn't just do it without asking, that'd be craz-"

DOING THE MAKEUP!!! Omg the way this boy BEGS you do his face the way you do yours, and girl, lemme tell you, you pop off...! You turned him into the clown-boy of your dreams, call that a Laughing Jack makeover/cosplay.

Anyways, seriously, I think Freddy would rock the clowncore look so well, especially if you take advantage of his freckles and make them all individually a different color against white/pale foundation.

I also think he teases/flatters you by randomly gifting you trinkets he finds to add to your collection. So dolls he finds in thrift stores, or figurines he saw at a random strip mall shop, things like that.

Kissing him or him kissing you anywhere on the face is always funny because the white/pale foundation will transfer and it's the cutest thing. Or when you hug him and he's wearing super dark or super light clothing so your makeup is just smeared across his shirt and he's looking at you like, "😐" and you're looking at him like, "😕my fault bro🙂."

He also likes to steal some of the dolls/stuffies you might have, so if a clown is missing, you know that he probably has it. Y'all be treating them like your lil' babies, naming them and all😭. He sends you blurry, chaotic, cutsey type pictures of them and it'll have a corny ass caption like, "Jester won't lay down for his nap, I think you might need to come over and cuddle for a bit or something" yk💀.

Him stealing your wigs, too. And just literally any loose/baggy clothes of yours that will fit him. But it's okay bc you do the same with his when you're dressed down for once. He actually is so used to you all clowned up that when you're bare face and in one of his sweaters and shorts, you look like this cute little random girl to him.

Ngl he hates sleeping in your room at night. He loves you and all of your quirks, of course. And don't get me wrong, he loves y'all children (the clown dolls n stuff)...but look man, they a lil' scary at night, just staring down at him from the shelves and shit and it freaks him out more than he wants to admit. You have a night light just for him when he stays over, though (it's a jumbo ladybug pillow pet you've had since you were like, eight, but the shit is so bright, it'd be a waste to just throw it out. Plus, it now helps Freddy sleep at night so win-win).

On that topic, bro has been jumpscared so many times bc you play too much and like to place your life-sized dolls around the house. He'll be thinking someone broke in and will be on the b r i n k of saying "Shazam!!" out of total fear before he realizes it's you just fucking with him. And is mad he can't do it back bc you're too used to seeing them💀.

Nicknames!!! Lord, this boy has some many! Just to name a few, "Circus Baby" "Harley" "Funny" As in he'll use it the same way one uses "Pretty". "Hey, Funny, you feelin' okay? Yeah? Okay, good." Also, "The fourth Flying Grayson" which you find pretty distasteful🥴.

If you post on social media, he spam likes and comments on all your post, especially if you make TikToks. He doesn't care what content it is, either. It could be you just talking about your stuff, it could be you posting little scenarios, it could be you showing your makeup routine, you could be making cringey ass thirst-traps for all he cares. I wanna ask the expert themself, what do you think about the headcanon that Haruka's parents (or his mom at least) is into taxidermy? There's a shit ton of taxidermy in his second t2, but also in a translation of AKAA lyrics (a more 'accurate' one, rather than the eng sub that's provided) instead of "I will keep killing to be a good boy" it's "Rather than taking something away, it's better to give". What if Haruka was killing animals to 'help' his mother with taxidermy? In his own sick and twisted way of getting her attention. And, let's not forget the famous scene where he's standing on top of the chair surrounded by the dead animal corpses, he's says "Mommy, look, aren't I amazing?". Sick, yeah. But what if he's presenting his 'gifts' to his mother, who's into taxidermy?

And the orange/amber liquid that everyone thinks is honey in reference to Muu? Someone in the comments said it could be formaldehyde, which is used for taxidermy. Just another thing that caught my attention

Hi hello!! Thank you for sending me this ask (and so sorry I replied so late!) I'm always happy to meet & discuss with fellow Haruka enjoyers :3c

I completely agree with that headcanon (in fact I don't think the orange liquid in AKAA resembles honey at all except for the color--the consistency seems closer to that of formaldehyde, and it makes more sense with the sequence of events that it'd be formaldehyde), I think Haruka's mom was a taxidermist or at least into something biology related, hobbyist or professional, so Haruka was exposed to a lot of things involving animals and taxidermy throughout his life. I assumed this is at least part of the reason why he dislikes animals--they remind him of his mom, when he was still somewhat loved by her, I imagine she'd tell or show him some details of her work/hobby, so he learned a lot about animals & taxidermy from her.

If I'm being honest, when I first watched AKAA it didn't occur to me at all that Haruka killed the animals, I interpreted that as a metaphor or symbolism (but I won't talk about that here because it'll be too long and it involves Weakness haha), so seeing most of the fandom interpret it literally (I guess because of his VD but I didn't take the VD at face value either) surprised me and I spent a while thinking of why Haruka would do something like that, and the perspective you offered really makes sense!! In my interpretation wouldn't call it sick or twisted as much as it is Haruka "accepting" that he is what his mom painted him to be, in his mind--someone whose only talent is bringing bad things, so he took to killing the animals in an attempt to utilize his "evil self's only ability" to do something his mom would hopefully approve of. It kinda reminds me of Tendou Satori from Haikyuu, who embraced the label "guess monster" because he was so used to being treated as a monster, so he embraced that he's weird and unlikable in a way that can make him still a good player but also true to himself. (I hope I remember correctly I haven't watched Haikyuu in like 2 years but Tendou is very dear to me) Except in Haruka's case it is way more fucked up lol.

Also gotta thank whoever retranslated AKAA more accurately--I noticed this theme with the innocent prisoners being painted in a purposefully bad light in T2 so we could vote them guilty, and the other way around as well, the guilty from T1 being painted as miserable and actually not that bad, yk. There's really nothing in MILGRAM that should be taken at face value imo.

And worry not I also thought about this an unimaginable amount, it's been on my mind the whole week actually, but I'm trying to articulate my thoughts into a coherent post lfhksdsl

To answer your question- what I love most about Grelle is the concept behind her character. Like it has sm potential to be so interesting. I love fucked up women, I love fucked up LGBT characters, and she's both!! Though I would say the way her character is almost always reduced to a joke and a comic relief is annoying to me. Like I love that she's silly and goofy and flirty don't get me wrong, it's moreso the fact it feels like the show is laughing at her rather than with her :(!!

I don't rly have headcanons I dislike... well outside the man!Grelle headcanon. Like I'm sorry that removes everything i find interesting about her character! Her relationship with gender, femininity, theatrics and motherhood is some of my fave stuff about her, so making her a dude kinda makes me yawn.
