Share a weird fact/story about yourself with the class. I like to drive around rural areas and photograph old, sometimes abandoned locations in the dead of night. I have been literally chased out of towns by foot and by car on two separate occasions. The second time this happened, "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus came up on shuffle and that's the soundtrack my friend and I tore out of town to. Also every "guy" I've dated except for my most recent ex (who has big egg energy) is a lesbian now.

What does the color blue taste like? Creme brulee

What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? The appalachian mountains of Tennessee in the middle of summer. There's kudzu everywhere. On the backroads, there were several old, dilapidated Baptist churches barely hanging to the side of the mountain. I wonder how many of them were still in use.

What is the stupidest thing you've ever done? Short version: my friend's house almost got broken into by this dude who'd been stalking us for months while we were home alone. Instead of calling the cops, we decided to confront him with a bow and arrow (me), a hatchet, and a baseball bat (him). The plan was that if it went badly, we would simply throw his corpse into one of the many lakes in the neighborhood and let the alligators eat his remains (this was Florida). Why? Because we were afraid of having our home-alone privileges revoked. Luckily for us all, the guy fucked off and we never saw him again.

Stupidest thing you've seen/heard someone else do/say? My ex thought that Jackalopes were real. Also, a nurse I was doing rotations with apparently thought that "Witness Protection" was for Jehovah's Witnesses.

Maximo "Lucky" Jonronero is extremely ADHD coded. in this essay i will

edit: someone asked for the essay, and since im not just about to sleep now, I can be coherent. lets start with the most damning evidence:

1. What he says to Miner during 5-X

Lucky: "I know...it's just... I was never much of anyone as a kid. Bad grades, couldn't ever focus, mom and dad yellin' at me... But on the field, everything was different. Without baseball...I feel like I'll just be that useless kid again."

this is, easily, already a common story among athletes with ADHD! not only that, but if he had no access to the right medication- and since i don't think he knows, he doesn't- it would be extremely hard to do schoolwork, much less homework, paired with all that pressure.

this also means, of course, his mom and dad likely also have undiagnosed ADHD, and possibly are projecting onto him! so yeah parent issues

2. His mannerisms at the start

at first this doesnt seem like that damning of evidence, but as a person with ADHD, his remarks resemble me. a lot.

one effect of having ADHD is this little bitch called emotional dysregulation, in which you can't- not "it's hard to", you can't- control your emotions to a degree, and they tend to get out of hand. from personal experience, it sucks ass, and especially if you dont know what it is, you get mad at your emotions for making you look like a child.

Lucky is mad. a lot. he also seems to bottle up as much as he can, a common pattern with myself. he also seems to understand that his overreactions are stupid, but he really just can't stop himself- if this is a pattern, it partially explains why he had a quicker turnaround than most would think to apologize to Paige. he KNOWS his constant anger is fucking dumb, but he can't stop it. he literally, biologically, has no power to stop it, as a person with adhd off meds.

3. The way he acts, in general

he gets distracted halfway through conversations. this also parallels with just how fast he was able to zone out in 5-3. this isn't very hard evidence, but it further perpetuates the "lack of focus" bit, which is also something he hates about himself! without knowing he has ADHD, that's not an uncommon jump of emotions

he doesn't seem to have any other interest than playing baseball at the moment (though it doesnt seem like that was always the case), but even then it seems to be dwindling out despite his best attempts (a common pattern with hyperfixations). he also seems to immediately latch onto coaching!

he moves around, a lot. we don't see him happy stim, but that jumping animation is likely an angry stim, which yes, also happens. he seems to hate staying still, which is emphasized by the fact that he needs to. for long periods of time. hence him sneaking out to the gym as much as he can. AND A GOOD ADD-ON BY @kittyfirest0rm - THE GUM. THE FUCKING GUM. HE CHEWS GUM WHILE PLAYING BASEBALL!!

he's quick to emphasize, when he's not angry. he's not very keen on some social cues, but he definitely seems to get emotions. in 5-3 he's probably surprised at Miner's easy admitting that he was injured and would stay willingly, but he also seems to get it when Miner talks about overworking himself and his emotions. (he zones out though during the explanations. classic.)

So, maybe I'm just self-projecting a bit with this one, but Chase kinda strikes me as some form of neurodivergent. Stuff like the rapid punching the air motion or the dance he does after receiving a marshmallow in episode 8 could be forms of stimming when he's excited. And while he does more extreme stuff such as water-skiing or freaking jumping out of a helicopter, he also briefly narrates himself playing baseball in episode 9 (possible hyperfixation on sports?). Also, a couple of instances where he's shown to not fully pick up on the emotions or tone of others in certain situations (mostly with Emma but also a bit with Millie and Priya in the beginning of episode 4).

Now imagine him never having a proper diagnosis growing up (it didn't dawn on his parents because why would it) at was to some degree outcasted by most of his peers as a kid, so he started to over-exaggerate his stims after moving into the beach house to make it seem like he's just being extra for the camera or even keep quiet about his interests (refraining himself from info-dumping cause he got weird looks from people in the past).

I identified as demi myself for a while until I finally accepted my full ace-ness, but I learned a lot along the way, and it was all thanks to this fic. Plus all the inner turmoil and internalized homophobia?? This series is a GEM if you like extended suffering and true love overcoming all.

It is the first rule, the first law. It is the beginning of every boogey-monster bedtime story told when they settle against the cliffs to sleep. Castiel should have listened better.

Notes: AUs don't always draw me in, and they certainly didn't several years ago, but this fic is so special. There is so much thought and care put into the merfolk world/culture, and how a relationship could unfold between a human and a merman. It is a very long and beautiful journey between these two.

Hey, I really hope this is your Tumblr because otherwise it'd be an awkward coincidence lol.

Just wanted to drop in and let you know that I read both Coronita Heights and You Only Live Twice and I can't put into words how brilliant it was. Lemme preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about baseball and found myself googling terms, players and even searching for videos to get a visual of the movements described.

And I cried. Your writing was so vivid in my mind and especially in the sequel during the WBC I was up outta my seat and cheering as if I was actually in the stadium. I was tearing up when Jane was talking to those little girls, full on sobbing when the Giants made that montage for her during the final. I felt the passion from each Rizzoli sibling on-pitch moment.

I was looking a fucking Rizzles fanfic like I do every couple years because I miss the ship an unhealthy amount. Instead...I think I'm gonna get into baseball now? I'm mainly into football (soccer?), I rep Chelsea FC and one of our owners also own the Dodgers so I already knew about Ohtani after news of his insane contract dropped but with the interest on that side and now with you roping me into all the baseball nerd analogies, I'll try to learn the game. If your writing can bring out that kind of exhilaration in someone who's never cared for the sport, actually watching a game might give me a heart attack.

TLDR; I loved the series and it's gonna be hard coming to terms with finishing it, but I'm definitely giving it a few months before I reread. I feel like it'd be weird to thank you for your talent but I'm doing it anyway because you're literally insane. Much love, hope life is treating you well.

Skid and Pump

Both of them are autistic, Skid also has ADHD

They share the same hyperfixation on Spooky Month

While Pump doesn't stims, Skid stims mostly all of the time (flailing his arms and legs) since he's always happy and joyful

Skid's mom is pretty aware and always help him if needed

Meanwhile... Pump's parents has literal NO idea

BUT his sister does autistic and autistic protector basically

Both not that worried about it

Skid's ADHD is definitely a problem tho, that boy gets distracted very easily

Idk why but I feel like Griffin is the most likely to have a Tumblr. Either Robin or Bruce do vlogs. Billy is more talkative on Twitter than he is irl. Gwen is a Tiktok girlie though I can't decide if she's just making dance contents or if she leaned into the creepiness of her dreams and start doing ghost storytimes or smth like that. Either way her videos often go viral. Speaking of, everyone's social media account went private as soon as the boys are well enough to do so but even then the cyber stalking was already bad enough. It's still there but at least now they don't have to interact directly with the weirdos.

Mr Monk's Last Case. SO GOOD I literally cried. I loved USANetwork so much as a kid and I grew up with these shows. Yes the treatment of OCD wasn't totally accurate but Mr Monk did make me feel seen as someone who, because of their brain, just can't stop themselves even when they know everyone is frustrated. When I heard they were making a movie I was so excited bc I love the Psych movies so much and I was thrilled Monk was getting his sequel too 😭.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown! By Talia Hibbert. 1, I am a slut for well written romance, 2 I love books about marginalized bodies and 3 I love supporting Black women. This book is part of a series called The Brown Sisters novels and each book focuses on a different sister's romance. It's so good! I accidentally read the third one first but now I've read 2/3. Funny and a lil freaky. I love it!!!! 10/10 would recommend but I also recommend checking it out at a library to boost circulation markers.

Legend of the Seeker a show based on the Sword of Truth novels which was game of thrones-y without the rape scenes being showed and a smaller cast. Loved the chemistry between Craig Horner and Bridget Regan 😭

Pitch This show was done so dirty, I LOVED the concept of this which was the first woman baseball player in the MLB and Mark Paul Gosselaar with Kylie Bunbury dynamic was INSANE. I loved how they tackled certain issues 😭.
