I’ve been struggling so bad to find skins of high quality and detail that are darker hues, or eye/nose masks that don’t lose detail the deeper the shade gets. I saw that you gave a resource list of skins a few years back when Nyanaath looked a lil different, so i wasn’t sure if there was anything relatively new that you used or not. I see the pores and details in Nyanaath’s skin and am just dying to know how to get like you lmaoo

First of all, Hiii and thank you! 😁💕Happy new year! Prepare for a bit of rambling but I link to some stuff in the end.

I want to start off saying that most of my sim pics are edited to some degree, especially previous pics from the past. I'm trying to rely less on editing to make my sims looks nice, but of course there is only so much you can do in a sims game.

This is an example of what Nyanaath's skin looks like unedited. EA lighting sucks ass and looks patchy in Sims 3 on dark colored objects in general and unfortunately, sims are not excluded. I end up smoothing the discoloration and patchiness with editing 😭

Before vs After

Skins as dark as Nena's have to be made dark from the start because using a pale/light based skin and trying to use an in-game slider to darken it never turns out good in any game. Dark skin reflects light and shadows differently than light skin and needs its own already-dark base.

I will seriously consider trying to throw together a skinblend for male and female skins that are dark like this because I truly think there are none. BUUUUT LOL rambling aside I do have new recommendations for makeup and skin details since that post:

1. First up is @sourlemonsimblr for makeup. Especially for eyebrows and lipsticks! A lot of their lipsticks are insanely detailed and recolorable enough that they can fit most darker tones. Their skins are lovely too and they've even recently made a dark skin which I will💗Link Here💗. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet but they always have quality stuff. Take a stroll through their Downloads page because it's definitely worth it. 2. Next up for skin detail makeups is @smallsimmer. They have so many good nose makes and eye/lip details that can be recolored to use on your darker skinned sims! If you ever had a skin you really liked and wanted to switch up the nose, eyes or lips, their skin detail makeup will absolutely come in clutch. They even have a few converted for child and toddler sims (something ts3 is lacking in)💗Link Here💗 3. If you want some AF skins for darker sims that are readily available and detailed, I'd suggest @annoyinglydarkblaze I learned a lot about making skins from watching their journey into skin making a few years ago. Since they aren't as active anymore and their posts are a bit scattered I will link the skins I like best: 💗Here💗 💗Here💗 and 💗Here💗 4. My next pick for more masculine/male-centered CAS makeup and CC is @nectar-cellar Their cc has been helpful as I slowly update my male OCs. The Beards/detail makeup torso muscled-torso meshes and clothing are some of the best. 5. I also suggest @simtanico for sliders and their detail makeup. I have just about every slider they've created 😂They also make really well done maxis-match kinda styled clothes for male sims too.

I'm sure there are tons of other people I'm missing but its been a minute since I've been around simblr myself so I'll try to update this list as I go.

I'll also leave you with a little tip: Do NOT be afraid to use the opacity slider and layering with makeup on darker sims. Layering and opacity is your friend!

Obey Me Vs TWST Vs Genshin Pulling Methods

Because these are 3 of the games I play the most and they all have a pulling/wishing system. And I wanna rank em.

1st Place - Genshin Impact

Look, I love TWST showcase system, but just in terms of luck, ability to get cool shit, and ease of use, Genshin wins.

It's simple to look through what you can get. You can get cool weapons alongside characters that are actually useful that are also ranked 5 star, and the luck system is pretty cool.

Maybe it's just me, but getting good pulls happens a lot, and there's rarely any wishes that I outright hate or that I get so annoyed with because I can't get something. And if I do get a 5 star character? Even better!

2nd Place - TWST

Yeah, Obey Me couldn't hold a candle to this. TWST was pretty close in beating Genshin, but the luck for TWST isn't as good as with Genshin, imo.

However, the showcases are super easy to look through, I can tell what I'm most likely to get from the showcases, and there aren't a shit ton of different cards that I can get, meaning that I can get doubles and therefore level up that card more.

Also, like Genshin, you can see how many pulls you have done. (Although, with TWST, instead of simply being told how many pulls you need for what, it has a progress bar, which is super nice.) (Also, this is from much later, but while TWST has less cards than Obey Me, they are better quality and have more stuff for the cards, so even if you get a regular card, it's still fun to have because of all the stuff you can do with it besides side stories and fights)

3rd Place - Obey Me

This is for both OG and NM because they basically have the same banner system.

But.... yeah.... Obey Me's banner system kinda sorta sucks. You can see the card you want front and center, yes, but trying to see what else you're likely to get is extremely difficult. Also, the luck on Obey Me fucking sucks, and it's a total cash grab.

Also, there's way too many different cards. I can't even tell you how many times I get new N cards every time I pull, and I've been playing for a long ass time. I rarely ever get a double card, and it's usually only for an N card I already have. (Cause, yet again, the luck system is shit.) (Although, getting gems from the pulls is ok. It's not great, but it's something)

So, yeah. This is just my ranking off of personal experience. I can't even tell you how badly I wanted to put TWST 1st, but I had to do what was right and do Genshin just of the luck and pity system.

Edit from later: Also, because I forgot to put this, while you do get a lot of free pulls for the regular banners in Obey Me, you don't actually get the currency to pull from the event banners very often. (I actually haven't gotten the little devil pull thingies in a long while) But in Twst, I can pull maybe once ever week and a half and for Genshin I can pull maybe every three weeks because I can easily get the currency.

(Edit from waaayyy later: There was a reblog talking about how twst pulling was better, and while it didn't really have much else regarding that besides how they personally felt, it did make me think for a minute. So, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe twst does have a better pulling system. Cause every card I've ever gotten off the showcases, I've used. Not just in battle, but in the Guest Room and on the home screen. Plus, if I get a double that I've already got full Uncapped on, I get something I can spend in the store for more backgrounds. So, while I'm in a sensible state of mind, I'm gonna say twst is probably better than Genshin simply because you use all the cards in twst at some point, and I could bet $20 y'all don't even glance at weapons if they aren't 4 star.)

Not everyone who hates her is doing so because of a mlm ship— the Perachel stans claim that Annabeth is a misogynist. However, basically everyone that isn't trying to ship her boyfriend with Rachel is trying to ship him with Jason, Nico, or her old friend Luke. They make her out to be this horrible abusive girlboss(derogatory) that she's simply... not. She doesn't insult Percy for having ADHD just because she's highly intelligent. She doesn't physically abuse him, and doesn't lay a finger on him outside of training. She's really devoted to him in a non-anti-feminist way. They just hate her for 'getting in the way' of Nico's convoluted attraction to Percy, or Jason's close friendship with him, or Luke's rivalry with him. But those relationships all flourish the way they were intended by the author: non-romantically. It's not Annabeth's fault for being intelligent or capable or jokingly snide or determined or any of those non-stereotypically-feminine qualities. She's just out here existing and people hate her for not being a man. Sorry for the rant.

She's canonically in a relationship with Percy Jackson for most of the books they're in, but he often gets paired in canon with other male characters, such as Nico di Angelo or Jason Grace. In fan fiction (especially yaoi focused ones) she's characterized as being a stuck up know it all, but she gets into plenty of shenanigans in canon and can be pretty goofy and sweet!

So guess who watched Trolls 3 today~

Ngl, based on the trailers I had really low expectations for this movie, and it was really only after watching some TikToks with the villain song in them that I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. 3 is by far my favourite of the entire series. Was not expecting to love Viva, but she was fantastic and I wish we had more screen time with her!

While I'm not entirely sure how I will/would integrate her into the Rough and Fluff AU, I decided to make a design for her anyways, complete with some little headcanons/additions. (Click the image for better quality)

More spoilery/AU discussions and 4th movie predictions below!

Okay okay, movie discussion first:

-I fucking LOVE the Putt Putt Trolls. Its so satisfying seeing how the trauma from the bergens being more fleshed out, and it makes perfect sense that they are as fearful as they are. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more pushback when Viva stopped them from executing Bridget and Gristle.

-(How did they escape actually? The tunnels collapsed, but were there other tunnels? Or did they have a different way out? How did so many, including the eldest heir to the throne, get left behind? Why did Peppy not get BOTH his daughter's immediately?)

-On the topic of Viva; notice how her ears are lower/sharper than Poppy's? I think that's typically a more masculine trait (not 100% bc we see some male trolls with softer/rounder ears) so uh yeah MTF Viva real suck my entire nards

-Fuck King Peppy. This guy gets worse every movie. He is the Dumbledoor/Sensi Wu of Trolls. Mans cannot just give Poppy relevant information to save his LIFE. I can understand not telling Poppy immediately, the grief of loosing his eldest daughter would understandably make that hard, but its been over 20 years now, and she deserved to know.

-Also, fuck most of Branch's brothers! I'm glad JD went back eventually (when exactly he did isn't clear, but sometime between the night of the escape and the first movie) but if he assumed Branch had died, why not try and contact his other siblings to tell them? Clay I can kinda understand with him not wanting to venture out beyond the mini golf area and leave the trolls he was helping to protect, but the rest of them? Not one of them tried to go back for their baby brother? Not even Floyd? When Trollstice was a thing?? Branch shoulda thrown hands fr.

-Rhonda the armadillo bus thing was hella cute and I want a plushie.

-I. Do not really like Crimp

-Velvet and Veneer slayed sooooooo hard. I hope Veneer makes a comeback.

-I also hope we see more of the other troll tribes again.

-The music for this movie was absolutely fire and I NEED a full cover of Sweet Dreams

Movie numero 4 predictions:

-Broppy marriage. Branch fr said "Lets get married" by accident HES THINKING ABOUT IT

-Either Poppy/Viva get their mom back, or Branch gets one/both of his parents. Dreamworks will pull some bullshit out of their ass and say that uhm actually they escaped like years before the others did and have been, idk, trapped in the shadow realm or something.

-We see Chef/Creek again. Creek redemption ark would go crazy hard IF DONE RIGHT and I want to see that fear of some monster trying to eat all your friends come back again

-Broppy kid reveal at the end of the movie. Unbelievable amounts of Plush Toy Marketing and terrible spin offs ensue.

-backstory/lore/backstory/lore/backstory/lore/BACK

-I just want to see more Trollstice era stuff plz dreamworks

-We get a Sound of Silence reprise

-Branch/his brothers are revealed to be a hybrid/some kind of special troll. I am TELLING YOU this guy adapted to different kinds of music like it was NOTHING, something Poppy and the others struggled with. Hes got something in him I SWEAR

-Tiny diamond is, once again, part of the main supporting characters

Au shiz:

-If Viva IS put in, its going to most likely be during the sequel. Peppy is already going to be dragged through the mud, might have him mention something about a lost sibling near the end of the OG fic, and since the Pop trolls will be looking for a new home, maybe they'll run into her

-Branch's brothers will not be making an appearance. They simply dont fit into the narrative. I may do an alternate au with them included but who knows.

-Mildly considering making Tiny Diamond a Greek kid. (Guy x Creek) would make for some interesting angst.

Random Rant??

so I was really on track to just stay positive today but i just cannot....

context : I found a tik tok of a clip from Nichomaki's live reacting to enhypen's criminal love. An engene&lune in the comment section said &Team voice would suit the song and a cover would be nice. I saw a lot of supportive comments but then the toxic engenes start flooding in. In summary, they were just practically trying to say that Enha's vocals are better than &Team (aka favoritism)

See as harmless and peaceful as it sounded, it wasn't. And no this isn't me being overdramatic or favoritism from my side. I love all the boys equally truly. But the way they were trying so damn hard to BASH &Team's vocal quality just to make their own group and themselves feel superior is really disgusting. Like we know how brilliant Enha's vocals are, but attacking another group and the fanbase was another level.

I started replying to few nasty comments at one point, the ones that go so far. And this one nasty ass engene shamelessly have the audacity to reply to me and say "Oh yea Enha's B-sides are way better than &Team's overall vocal. Their vocal sucks." - honestly to that person - do you hear yourself right now? You are comparing a 3 year old kpop group to a 1 year old rookie kpop group that just debuted last year. And you have the audacity to compare the quality and amount of tracks and sides they release. Disgusting.

Another thing I wanna point out - It's true each idol will differ on fields they're best at as well as groups which mainly is because of the difference in experience and time. And I think people need to get that in their heads. They all became 'idols' for a reason. Because they can sing and dance better than any local humans out there and can do both without collapsing on stage. These toxic shits don't even know the amount of stress and pain each idol/group goes through yet they're here so damn ready, doing nothing but sitting at home and binging on reality shows, and now you wanna bash and attack small growing groups. Disgraceful.

Apparently the fight stopped after a while between me and the person because I basically just told them I have no time or energy to be in an argument with a deluded person where this would lead absolutely nowhere. And the notifications pretty much went dead. And then that person tagged me - and that one act they did, straight up i just blocked them.

They tagged me in a jungwon edit video and then wrote "jungwon >>>>>>>>> &Team". I'm not here to bash jungwon or Enhypen, i truly love them, they're literally the group i stanned before &Team formed. And the problem wasn't the edit or i'm not butt-hurt about the comment, but it's the fact that even after i left the argument and moved on, they still was raring to go. The fact that we were done with this nonsense crap-talk, and they had the audacity to tag me back and try so hard to trigger me. And ykw, congrats to the person cuz at that point, i just blocked them. I'm not trynna have someone like that bugging my ass on the notification bar, they can go cry in a ditch idc.

Conclusion : Ik i'm coming off really aggressive here - but forgive me cuz i just cannot with toxic engenes. Enhypen and &Team are practically supposed to be like brother groups. They share the same lore, same storyline, even appear in each other's mvs, collabs, the past survival show contestants, the bonds - Everything. Yet its either twitter or tik tok each day, it's not even any other group stans atp, it's literally mostly just engenes. Like it is unbelieveable, how the toxic part of the enha fanbase, literally wants to target and stir discord between the two bonded groups and each other's fanbases.

It's crazy how these same toxic engenes have to make &Team and Lune inferior just soo they could feel superior

What's the worst game you've ever played?

it is hard to really gauge what the worst game I've ever played was, but there are definitely some games I consider to genuinely be bad. none of them are really all that interesting takes so don't expect much

persona 5 - I really, really dislike this game and genuinely think its game design is bad. visually it's amazing, but they lock game changing mechanics like party switching behind social links that I just had no interest in doing, and no one should be punished that hard for not doing optional content. horrible game design. also the story bored me to tears. the villain is so half-assed and character assassinated in the later half of the game that I felt insulted that they took so much time from me. the only redeeming quality of that game is its aesthetics, soundtrack and some of the characters, otherwise it's mediocre garbage and there are so many better RPGs to play. also persona 3 clears it

genshin impact - I don't hate it because it's anime or because it's gacha and I played it from launch all the way until the second half of inazuma when they released itto, but the way they handle content in that game is horrible. the units they released had horrendous kits overshadowed by whoever was running the meta. the hype for new units was completely gone, and building your team was fucking miserable because you need to gather bugs for 3 hours which also take 48+ real life hours to respawn. also everyone in that game is fucking white and its so annoying and I fucking hate it

the peak of my enjoyment out of genshin impact was liyue as a whole since it was actually a beautiful area with some slight amount of authenticity to traditional chinese culture, language, and topography. but the story of the game is so unbelievably fucking boring, the gameplay is not interesting, the new characters end up sucking and it's just a ridiculously unfun timesink. fuck genshin impact

maplestory - i have nothing to say about it. just trust me

yakuza 3 - holy shit I have never been more unsatisfied with the gameplay and story of a yakuza game. this actually made me want to drop the series entirely because I didn't find it fun or interesting whatsoever, the game is incredibly unbalanced, combat is so clunky and gross, the only saving grace is that okinawa is cool to look at. i didn't do any of the side stories because I just did not enjoy the gameplay, I finished this game and felt exhausted when I was done with it. the yakuza series is deeply deeply worth it, but please play this on the lowest difficulty and just bumrush the story.

tloz: wind waker - one of my hotter takes is that wind waker really isn't that good, admittedly I did play the gamecube version but what the wii u version changed doesn't completely turn it into a good game. my biggest issue with this game is that the overworld is genuinely empty and exploration feels pointless since the only side content you can do has unsatisfying rewards that don't make the game much better. the hint system they use for that game is fucking stupid, dungeon design takes a nosedive after the first 2 dungeons, items you get in dungeons have next to no use outside of those dungeons, and the final sequence being a boss gauntlet is one of the laziest cop-outs for the zelda series. I desperately wanted to like the game, so I played it 1 and a half times and that was enough to tell me that it wasn't that good.

ty the tasmanian tiger - i really wanted to love this game! but the level design got lazy and became a slog trying to collect everything, the boss design was very much not interesting and it just really couldn't hold my attention. I've gone back to this game 3 different times trying to see if I'd change my opinion but I play through half of the game and just end up realizing I don't like it and don't want to play it. it's just kind of sad

paper mario 64 - I won't call it one of the worst games I've played, but it's on this list because I beat the game and realized I didn't have any fun. the combat is really basic and boring, some of the areas are just kind of boring, it just felt really boring. the final battle? boring. there is nothing interesting about this game and I had more fun playing the randomizer than the actual game

tsukihime - this is not a game. this is a visual novel, but it's on the list because I genuinely fucking hate this game. it has the worst most annoying protagonist inner monologue ever, I liked the characters in it because of Melty Blood and ended up hating most of them by the time I finished tsukihime. I WILL be replaying it once the official english version of the remake drops in which case I will type a much longer winded review of it but I don't think anyone who likes tsukihime read it, or if they did and still like it, are not a good person. "just because they like the media doesn't mean they approve of it" cool don't care shiki tohno is a dogshit protagonist and wants to bang his sister bye

thats just scratching the surface and its just off the top of my head, other honorable mentions include final fantasy 15, final fantasy 10, glover, dragon ball z legacy of goku, super metroid (will not elaborate)

Ya’ll are fucking wild here. no wonder why this rp has just been the same 5 people for the last 4 years. But I thought maybe things are different, maybe it’s changed. Wrong. Admin, you still make rules to cater to the admin or the “inner” 3 other members they’ve deemed “worthy”. You make rules that cater to pretty much you only. You dont care about how you make other people feel, as long as you're getting your way. And the members here have been so brainwashed by the bullshit either theyre too scared or too intimidated to say anything. You still find a way to corrupt people from playing certain fc’s you have history with STILL forcing history on certain fc’s. A history ONE player expects you to remember every detail to even if you don’t like the plot. That one player who makes SO MANY people uncomfortable, whether they want to admit it or not, who also just happens to be the main admin. The main admin who doesnt even do a god damn thing on the main, and then will make every excuse as to why not. Sarah, you’ve found so many ways to provoke, gaslight, bully, guilt or force threads, histories, plots on probably every single player here. It’s gross. You deserve every call out youve gotten. But I don’t even 100% blame you. I also blame most of the spineless people you claim to be your “friends”. Here they complain and shit talk behind your back but then turn around and lick the ground you walked on. But probably because you’ve bullied them into it. I love how you post this long ass thing from the main saying how this place isn't for everyone and if youre bothered, blah blah. Just say this place is for you to do whatever tf you want whenever you want, and be done with it. At least be honest. How many times did you ask if you should drop certain chars looking for pity and how many people begged you to stay, Sarah? No one. That's telling. But its good to know this group is only here for you and your bullshit. Since this group is "anything goes" then the second someone calls your character out ic, you do the same thing you do ooc and come up with every excuse on why youre not wrong. Amd then kick them out! Maybe instead of always blaming everyone both ic and ooc, maybe look inward.I tried, I really tried to come in with an open mind that maybe this place had changed over the many years, but it clearly never will.Also, on the subject of bullying, Lena, you're also a god damn bully, which is funny since youre barely even on. Computer Dreams is basically just a collection of "latest tech and highest quality" CGI effects and animation from the time it was released. It's narrated by a woman that also had a role in the movie and tv series Max Headroom (gifs below) which was super popular at the time and idk just having a second grade celebrity tossed in just fits the vibe!!

The thing itself is actually pretty educational, brushing over some (very) basic level computer generated imagery tech and explains how the effects are done. There's also a clip made by NASA, showcasing their latest concept of a future Mars rover project and the narrator says that it will one day come true. They didn't even know that they only had to wait 8 more years until the first one was launched and that today we have more little (ok pretty large) critters going all over the place there and I'm just ugly sobbing rn

Continuing with the CGI theme, this is a sequel to a groundbreaking 80s CGI movie, Tron. The original movie is also pretty fun when you start recognizing how familiar all the stuff feels either because they're being referenced in later works, or because there really was just a small bunch of nerds that knew how to do this stuff and ended up accidentally carrying the entire industry on their backs.

Tron: Legacy itself is actually pretty trashy movie but goddamn is it pretty!!!!!

- "What led you into liking Gun?" *in Steven blum's voice* I love the kind of woman thay can kick my ass-

But no seriously though, it's kind of funny because prior to me rereading lookism last year, Zack and Goo were actually my most favorite characters way back when. When I first read the series back in 2018 I used to LOOOOVE Zack (I still do!) because I loved the character development he went through (I'm a sucker for characters that are originally an asshole but once they become humbled multiple times, and they try to hecome a better person, they become extremely lileable) and he's such a great guy. Like I remember wishing I had a Zack Lee in my life because his love for Mira is so sweet and he's got that typical don't-hurt-my-loved-ones-or-I'll-murder-you Shonen trope that everyone knows and loves. I used to love Goo (I STILL DO THATS MY OTHER MAN) because I liked how chaotic and unpredictable his character was, especially when he helped out Vasco in the past arc (and it was interesting to me since you'd think that Goo was doing out of the goodness of his heart but nah he was just happy that he has an excuse to go all out like this mfer is CRAZY).

Anyways, back to the main point, I love Gun as a character because this guy? Fuck him. Fuck him AND his drip. He's an absolute menace. He is horrible and I love him for it because he has no redeemable qualities and he knows he's not a good person. He does have his moments where he has done something /good/ (good is a stretch and a lack of better wording) I.e when he let Eli go to see Heather, when held off on Jake's and Big Deal's disposal because he respected Jerry's undying loyal to Jake. Other than that though, Gun is a very much self-serving character. Although Gun has done many horrible things, he surprisingly sucks as a villain LMAO but perhaps I only feel this way because he's not a major foil to our beloved mc, Daniel. For a serious character, Gun's quite the goofy character because a) every time he acknowledges someone or hypes up their strength, they get packed up. B) he is unintentionally funny. Like him partying it up with Goo while holding a fire extinguisher? Him getting so mad at Eli for wanting to leave the gangster life for Heather? Him about to beat the crap out of people younger than him in a high school parking lot? HILARIOUS. He's also so easy to make fun of him LIKE LOOK AT HIM. HE LOOKS LIKE A T-REX READY TO SWALLOW YOU WHOLE

Although I very much do still enjoy his cold, blood-thirsty character that we get these days, I do miss his old characterization back in the old lookism days because he smiled a bit more and while he's still goofy, he was a different kind of goofy back then. He's also interesting to me; like there's so much that we need to unpack from his character because from what we know so far, he's the head of the Yamazaki clan, he's the only known person thus far that is constantly in UI mode, he got sent to juvie (as he should), and he's allied himself with Charles Choi while they were both in juvie for reasons unknown.

Basically TL;DR I love Gun because he's a fun character, who also happens to be an asshole and the narrative doesn't try to paint him as otherwise by any means. He's also badass and hot and handsome (not a lookism moment) and funny.

- "What arc do you love the most in lookism?" OH no, you really don't expect me to answer that do you because there are TOO many that I like to simply choose one LMAO. I really liked the arcs back when lookism had the more thriller/suspenseful elements to it . Like the whole stalker arc? I remember getting actual chills reading it, specifically those panels where one panel shows Daniel sleeping in the dark but then lightning strikes and it shows the stalker crouched over, watching Daniel slumbering with that creepy little smile of hers). I also liked Zack's babysitting arc with Yena because at first he was upset that his date with Mira was interrupted by said person finding a missing child. But after time, he completely falls in love with Yena (or ZaMi at the time LMAO) and I really do hope that we get a mini arc where he can babysit her again.

- "Do you have any pets? And if you don't, what pets would you wanna get?" I actually have a pet! Her name is Keiko and she's a grey and white domestic short haired cat! She's turning 4 this year🥹

Ahh literally everything you're saying is just like parts of the bigger reason s3 sucks so bad. They start off the season with Will like "This year everyone's dreams will come true!" and then like Santana gets outed, Mercedes and Tina are constantly struggling to have their voices heard, Quinn is forced to confront her Beth trauma then gets in a car wreck, Kurt gets passed over for literally every big thing he wanted this season, also literally laughed out of an audition for being Too Gay, Blaine is butting heads with Sam and Finn cause they're both acting dumb lol, also Klaine relationship troubles. Swear to god I think Mike is the only one with a conflict that feels like it gets satisfyingly resolved this whole season rip

And then at the end of the season everyone is like "wow what a great year thank you mr schuester for doing everything for us <3" when he literally never cared about anyone but Finn aslfkjsklfsl and then the whole dick sucking ego stroking parade of everyone to Finn, and Kurt to all the guys and it's just like ??? hello? what? where? when? did i miss some episodes??? What is going on

Omg you so hit the nail on the head with that quote, wow. I have to fess up and say that I liked season 3 when I first watched and looked back on the seasons because I trauma-blocked IKAG and many other awful parts and was blinded by the graduation glamour and the soundtrack. Upon rewatch, it's incredibly infuriating and embodies a lot of what was wrong with this show. And it's made worse by everyone always saying s3 was the good old days and then the show declined in quality, which is just not true.

All the things you listed, yes. And I'm gonna repeat some of them here but just cause it's worth stressing just how bad some of this is. Will, teacher of the year, didn't do shit for most students this year and actively made some of their lives worse. He yelled at Quinn and threw Santana to the wolves, scolded both Tina and Mercedes when they asked for an ounce of the respect they deserved. His treatment of Mercedes!! Oh. My god. He should go to jail for booty camp. All the while we had to endure the ups and downs of his sex life and while he, like the whole show, was so far up Finn's ass it was hard to see anything else. Quinn was put through a revolving trauma door and not one adult really cared. All three main women of colour were demonized for wanting a taste of the spotlight and the one canon lesbian given the most offensive "coming out" (i.e. outing) known to tv. Brittany was mute for most of the season and when they do give her something it's the fucking sex tape. Sam had such big flop moments and Blaine was only pulled out for songs and Klaine conflict. Kurt's dreams were shattered despite him doing his best and nailing the audition. Oh and yeah let's have him thank the boys for,,,, whatever reason? Insulting. No one cared about the newbies because the show didn't either. Yeah, Mike's storyline was more or less done well but it was so brief and the only standalone story arc he ever got. Finchel had to be prom king and queen for some godforsaken reason. I mean let's not get into how season 3 Finn is somehow even worse than he usually is because jfc it just never stops with him. I guess Puck's storyline was the most decent? But they also had him fuck the adoptive mother of his bio child also his teacher also his ex's mom so, like. Most of Rachel's stuff was also fine but the Finchel things were intolerable and elevating her by putting others down is not it.

And it's not just the shafted characters and bad storylines and the overall bad execution of even the ones that had potential. It's this tonal inconsistency, this insistence that the sun is shining out of Finn's ass, that Finchel are meant to be and are more important than anyone else on this show, the trainwreck of season 3A especially, the issue episodes. The fact that the show swears it cares about all these kids when it's so quick to discard them and do their stories a disservice. It's not a triumphant last lap of the OGs but a tragedy for most and a wank fest for a select few.

#this is so incoherent because s3 is too #but you get what i mean yes i agree let's stop pretending s3 was good #it's a mess and it tries to gaslight us into thinking it was this great season for all #some characters were barely characters others would have been better off without screentime #and i will never ever ever get over the crimes of s3A #and ikag specifically of course because if i could punch an episode of tv #i'd do it over and over and over again #so anyway you could say i also think this isn't fair #angelhummel #glee asks

my (early) thoughts on PGR's across the ruined sea story update....

ok the reason why i say early is because well. i'm only at 20-3 for the story and so i know stage/level wise i have like 8 stages to go so hrfgkfjfm and thats not counting the inbetween "dialogue"/text-only stages. and idk pgr has definitely let me down before... but i shall get into that later

i liek how they're including moar horror in this arc like i'm literally like that fish from spongebob thats like "THATS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR" like... yes god please return to your horror roots... we needed this so bad like idk there is a missed opportunity and they did it a little bit in XXI's arc and that entire story with lucia & luna introducing hetero-creatures and sorta kinda revisited again with vera & noan but they didn't really take it there... idk with a scary machine & human killing virus, the concept of a tide that kills all in its way and has the voices of all it has taken inside of it, and the general machine/automaton horror i wonder why they would not flesh out these concepts a little more. it also reminds me of parasite eve/the third birthday in that regard

i think despite not having gone through all of the story yet i am excited because i'm noticing new things, these past few patches they've been getting better in quality in terms of how they're going about telling their story. writing is well... hehe HRFKFJFK let me get into that later

like PGR has always done a visual novel sort of story telling which i'm fine with, i'm very used to that and it's a mobile game so it makes sense. as we go through these patch updates they add things like various scripted sequences in gameplay stages, cut scenes, etc. despite only playing up until 20-3, i see a lot more of kuro actually trying which is very good. also at 20-3 they literally give a warning about how long it is... which btw to me it wasn't that long but if you are a person that just wants to hurry they do give an option for you to skip but i have time and having played through it fully... thats how their story telling should be!!

don't just tell through the VN sequences, but also let players just... experience it. the map has some interactive points, it makes you explore to learn more about what's going on, i like how they introduced bianca's new power of being able to see the past but it comes with the cost of her potentially losing her mind and not being able to tell past and present apart, and she's also able to hear the voices of the dead through this too. and they created cool sequences and effects and executed it very well despite the limitations of mobile phones. it's just satisfying to see them improve what they can do in terms of telling a story and matching it well with the gameplay

that being said my relationship to this game is that i love the characters and i love some of their designs. in terms of writing it could be better, it sucks for global players that the localization has not improved and continues to let down every single patch. i know i dont really like the writing but at least let players experience your story in its best form instead of half-assing the translations. i dont think kuro is that interested in telling a good story though unfortunately esp with what i've seen from wuwa... but that game is under development but who knows! maybe they'll blow it out of the park with that one but i am doubtful LOL... i wish they'd do less fanservice too btw. i think i really just find myself playing PGR because the gameplay is fun and satisfying to meeee :3 the story could be better is all

Today sucked and I've had to stay late every night this week. I only stayed an extra 30 minutes today because I was crabby and my back is killing me and I had 25 eye cases earlier. They started those at 7 and got done at 3 and then I spent the rest of my time helping everyone else since there were still a lot of other surgeries going. Another person quit today too. I'm so tired of being the only one who puts stuff away and pulls instruments for case carts most of the time. I shouldn't be lifting that much every day. They have been making me wrap heavy total pans too because other people don't want to do it and they are trying to do too many total joints in a day. I don't mind doing that sometimes but it's becoming a regular thing again and I have been struggling to lift them lately. It's all about profits for them and I don't think it's safe because everyone is scrambling all the time to get things done and people are more likely to make mistakes when they get rushed. Everyone is exhausted and burned out and I'm not the only person injured because of the workload. I guess at least they haven't tried to give me a decontam shift since I called in a couple weeks ago. I feel like I have a lot more responsibilities than everyone else otherwise and I do all of the eye instruments by myself. It's rare that anyone offers to help or to cover any of my breaks so it doesn't really feel fair to me. I stayed an hour late last night and the night before. People were still shitty with me when I left as usual and it made me more crabby. I'm not a slave. It's frustrating because everyone else has 8 hour shifts and I work 10 hours but they still expect me to stay. I still work 40 hours a week just like everyone else and I don't understand why they treat me that way just because I have an extra day off during the week. I don't think they realize how shitty my quality of life is lately. I don't have a lot of time or energy during the week to do much after work and doing basic things like showering and making dinner is a huge challenge for me after I bust my ass all day. I just can't do anything anymore and I'm so excited to leave soon. I deserve better. I feel sorry for whoever replaces me because it's only going to get worse for them. I'm ready to not have to worry about it anymore.

I feel so much better now that I'm home. I also appreciate the people that have been sending me "messages" and trying to help me feel better. I think that's really sweet and it makes me happy. It's nice to have something to smile about. I also already ate some food and got a shower and put on pajamas and crawled in bed. Now I'm going to cuddle with Salazaar and relax for a little while. I'm trying to go to sleep earlier since I'm probably going to get my ass kicked again tomorrow too. I hope it's better than I'm expecting it to be. I'm looking forward to having a 4 day weekend too because I need it after this week.
