I really need to update here when I post chapters.

I've updated Of Sequins and Scalpels (twice) since my last fic post, so have two chapters.

Chapter 33: When Kate has to do some work as Helen's PA person.

Chapter 34: Saturday night, and Nikola realises how deep things could go.

Ugh, can we make the day longer please? I've had so many fic ideas recently but no time to write them. The one I'm loving at the moment is a Helen/Nikola/Abby smut thing where Abby is Helen's present from Nikola, and Abby (in a 100% consensual way) is Nikola's puppet, following what he tells her to do to/for Helen... It's just an excuse for power plays and Abby and smut. But there's also stirrings of an Abby and Nikola friendship fic, maybe to do with Will being a dick, I'm not 100% sure. Oh! And ideas for the Roommates AU that seems to have stalled.

Except, y'know, the whole only 24 hours in a day and I spend 8+ hours working my job, then another five being mum/wife person, and like five/six hours for sleep, and the rest being frittered away with executive disfunction and TikTok. I need a break before my brain does.

Oh! And I had an idea where Helen realises she needs her weekend in Italy because it takes her five tries to spell the. Henry, Nikola, and Biggie noticed way earlier. Will figured it out about the same time she did because she stunned him instead of a dangerous abnormal.

Also also, Helen with a Sanctuary chatting with Hagrid about dragons and nifflers. Oh! I found the start of my Sanctuary/Harry Potter Marriage Law fic. It's vaguely legible. Helen doesn't trust Snape and thinks Dumbledore is an old coot.

So yeah... More hours in a day, please.

Sam, then Helen, methinks.

Samantha Carter, destroyer of suns (... ok only one so far, but she did mess up the one where they had to put an element in the star to keep it all balanced and what not), captain major colonel of our hearts, and all round cute puppy.

How I feel about this character She is a rose - looks pretty but will mess you up if you touch her incorrectly (thorns hurt). But, as above, she's also a puppy you just wanna cuddle and I love her.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Uhm, proper romantic shipping with the dating and the fluff and the I love yous at weird moments? Then it's either Sam/Jack or Sam/Janet. I will read a few other ships (and, randomly, I still love the idea of Sam/Marine!Katy Perry but I'm an odd duck and yeah) but for the fluffy floofs? Jack or Janet.

My non-romantic OTP for this character TEAL'C!!!! Teal'c is the bestest friend and I love their friendship. (Huh, saying that, with the right build up I could romantically ship Sam/Teal'c too. Hmm.)

My unpopular opinion about this character I don't think I have one? Oh yes! In my opinion, Sam would not take Jack's name (or anyone else's) for her professional stuff if she got married. She'd be General Carter and no-one can change my mind about it.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Getting to see her on her motorbike! (Thank god for Helen in Sanctuary, but at the same time the SG1 folks missed a bloody trick!)

And now Helen, sweet Helen (if by sweet I mean knock your teeth out strong, then yeah, sweet works).

How I feel about this character She is a gift and must be protected. There's versatility to her character because of the super long life she's led that gives a writer so much scope to play with.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Nikola, Abby, Declan... I can ship her with just about anyone so it's easier to ask who I don't ship her with (Ashley, Henry, Will, John).

My non-romantic OTP for this character Oooooh, canon compliant either Helen and Biggie or Helen and the kids. Heavily fanon inspired, Helen and Nigel.

My unpopular opinion about this character Again, I don't think I have one, but I'm not sure. :) However, I still stand firm that she watched the sun rise with George Harrison. XD

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. It would've been cool to see more of her scheming re the disconnection of the Sanctuary Network from the UN. I would've actually liked to have seen political machinations!Helen (and I usually hate that sort of thing - hurts my brain).
