Relationship with Other Male Idols

Took them in as soon as she heard about them

Originally, they were being all respectful to her, “Oh, Sunbaenim, hello…” and being intimidated by her cold looks...

But as soon as she revealed she was an Aussie from Sydney as well, they went, “OIIIIIIII AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!”

They still call her by ‘Noona’ but like, Korean formalities are forgotten between the three, and they’re just a trio of chaotic Aussies - they mainly speak in English together

Their members are always amazed when they listen to the three speak in English because when they’re together, their Aussie accents just thicken and it’s sometimes hard for their members to understand them - not only that, but they see a more playful side of Nari when she's with them, and they realise she's like this because the two juniors remind her of Australia

Nari is an older sister to them, and she’s always there to guide them and give them tips and advice in the idol industry, and they’re also there for her to rant to in English just in case and give the few advice they’ve gained in their life as well

Nari’s heart just busted when Stray Kids and NCT Dream became friends after their collaboration on stage - she went with the Dreamies to Stray Kids’ concert most definitely

The boys are fans of NCT - especially of the talented and beautiful Nari…

So when Nari approached them at that one award show to introduce herself and talk to them, their minds were malfunctioning for sure

Especially San and Seonghwa since they did that dance cover of Kick It, so when she commented on it, their mind went blank

To this day, they are in awe that the one they looked up to has their contact and is considered friends with her

Since they are fans of Nari, they knew that she has experience in producing music - especially with instrumentals - so when they went onto Kingdom, they had actually asked for Nari’s help for their performance for Answer

She’s definitely giving them tips and advice in the idol world, especially when they feel doubtful about themselves. And they see her scary side when in choreographer-mode and producer-mode

She spoils them and treats them out for food when they do come back - always tries to speak highly of them when possible so they can get more attention, making them eternally grateful to her. And if people ever send hate in her direction, they're ready to defend her

They may be in the same company, but Nari is still a fangirl despite working under the same company and building

Especially towards Chen - he is her bias

They find her cute, like a little sister, kind of (intimidating little sister) - Chen definitely finds her mini crush on him adorable, but the two know that it’s nothing serious, and just feelings of admiration towards an idol (Nari actually supports his relationship and family 100% which he is grateful of)

When Nari found out Johnny could have been in Exo, she absolutely teases him for it:

“I’m glad you’re in NCT rather than Exo…” “Aww, thanks -” “Imagine me fangirling over you - actually, I can’t. I feel like puking at the thought of fangirling over you.” “Wooooooowwwwww…”

She’s close to Baekyun and Kai especially - and it’s due to the fact that they are in SuperM together

She actually develops a close relationship with Baekhyun, and would go to him for advice when she’s struggling with something - he may be seen as a goofball onscreen, but he can be very wise and supportive when needed

Kai and Baekhyun also realise that there is more to Park Nari than what the public sees; she's not just some cold-hearted, intimidating person, but she's actually very humble, wise, and emotional. Because of that, their urge to protect her more like a little sister comes out.

They try to help her lower her guard and have fun when they are around; she no longer has to be on guard and act responsible as one of the older members, she can relax around them because they will look after her and the others.

She is also a fan of SHINee - she and Haechan would definitely fangirl/boy about them

Minho is her bias - he became her bias after she watched them on Hello Baby

It doesn’t help that he’s such a gentleman, she gets all shy around him

But afterwards, they all develop an older brother x younger sister relationship - so Minho would definitely tease her about how she used to have a crush on him, and she’d be very embarrassed

SHINee look out for her a lot and help her as much as they can - especially when it comes to sexist things, like forcing her to diet, or being treated unfairly - you bet they will speak up (or yell) about it

If she wants to mess with her members, she and Yuta would speak Japanese to SHINee so the others don’t understand lol

Any interactions between SHINee and Nari are very wholesome, SM fans love seeing them together hanging out. SHINee are probably one of the few who were not intimidated by her in first meeting

They’re kind of guardians for Nari - father/uncle figures

She actually warmed up to them quickly because of how much they looked out for her ever since her trainee days

Since she is the only female in NCT, they try and make sure she’s doing okay by talking to her members, letting them know to look out for her and treat her well

They also know how much hate Nari gets for being the only female in NCT, and for how different she is - race and personality-wise, so they always try to speak highly of her as much as they can for those close-minded people to be silenced

Heechul especially mentions her during Knowing Brothers - whether to compliment her or to tease the male idols on the show who confess to having crushes on her

“Yah, better watch yourself, she has all of the males in SM protecting her! Not that she needs protecting because she knows how to fight back...but still! She has all of SM behind her!”

They’re also people she can hang around to destress - you know how chaotic they can get, and how much they don’t care about their image, so they always try to have her join in on their mess to destress - which are most of the time successful - but they also are there for her when she needs to talk to someone

Nari accidentally befriended them (mainly Jungkook) through Jaehyun’s phone

He was in the shower when Jungkook rang, and Nari misread the beginning of his name, ‘Jung’ for ‘Jungwoo’ and answered the call

And that’s how she befriended BTS lol. (Jungkook actually used to be very scared of the woman, so imagine the shock he felt when Nari answered the call in a weird way, thinking she was talking to Jungwoo jajjjajajajja)

People expected Jaehyun to be close to at least Jungkook, and when they saw how comfortable and familiar all BTS members were with Nari, the world was sHoOk - “HOW DO THEY KNOW EACH OTHER?!?!” (but like, everyone knows Nari in the industry in some way dbgkabg)

They don’t really show their friendship to the world because of some fans being possessive and such, but they would sometimes hint at hanging out with Nari - like, once, V posted a story of him at an art gallery, and you hear a female voice in the background talk to him about art - and of course, NCTzens recognised Nari’s voice

The two afterwards didn’t give a crap about the speculations, and simply posted another story of the two posing with the caption, “Same age friends” - cuz him, Nari, and Jimin are the same age

Suga mentioned once in a Vlive, “Male and female idols are allowed to be just friends,” when people asked him about Nari - Nari and BTS’ relationship is very chill

Hah, Nari can’t believe she has their contacts on her phone

She fell in love with the group because of their positivity and close relationship to each other - their positivity is contagious, it even softened her calloused heart

Despite having their contacts, and sometimes talking to them, she’s still shy around them - especially when it comes to ISAC, Nari doesn’t approach them first, but they will have to approach her first to talk and hang out with her - this is like, the only time people see Nari so shy and not like her bold, confident self kkkkk

She actually gets quite close to Jun and The8 thanks to Chenle - and Jun, being the social butterflies they are

Seventeen did think she was quite intimidating at first, but at the same time, they knew she was more than just that, so when they officially met, they knew that Nari would be someone they won't forget easily

hi hi hi today's reminder is a list of nct members i expect/want to see releasing solo albums (excluding taeyong bc he already has one out, dojaejung bc I have a strong feeling sm wants to push the unit as opposed to the solos, and markhyuck bc i will pay big money for them to take a nap):

1. ten: call me delusional but it is definitely happening by the end of 2024. he can sing, he can rap, he can dance, he speaks 618292 languages, he has the visuals, he has the brand recognition plus he's heavily associated with taem (hit the stage and superm) and i just Know they're gonna push him as the next taemin

2. taeil: at least a mini album before he has to enl*st or i will fucking riot

3. yuta: much like ten - can rap, can sing, can dance, beautiful specimen of a human man, super funny, plus he is one of the most popular members worldwide. it would make Big numbers, but it seems unlikely because he'd eat up nct japan. I'd still love to see it tho, i adore his voice

4. winwin: i just know even in a full solo album he'll end up with a collective 2 minutes of lines and I'm very curious how that would work

5. chenle: my baby. dream has a solid vocal line, so i wouldn't call it a hard carry , but he definitely is the backbone (watch their killing voice, he is the soul of their live singing) of their vocals. the harmonies, the ad libs, and he absolutely kills his own parts, and he's super versatile. this is one of the more unlikely ones on this list but I'd be very interested in listening to that

7. renjun: brilliant singer, i love his voice, he has such a pretty tone that deserves to shine more. also it would top the charts because each and every nct member would buy five of each version just to collect all the photocards. they could ask sm but they wanna do it right. want a fansign call? good luck, you're going up against 20 grown men who would kill for him no questions asked

8. xiaojun: he has never not been the star of a song he's on. take off, moonwalk, make a wish. he's the resonance era golden boy, just a well of potential. the boy is a Star

9. yangyang: universe era golden boy. he's quickly reached Mark/taeyong/Doyoung levels of fitting every single song, and has the unique advantage of sm knowing this and actually putting him on songs. again - sings, dances, raps, models, very funny boy. he has the Range

10. Kun: who's surprised here? honestly his voice is so severely underutilised, it hurts my heart, he has the absolute prettiest singing voice. give him the reins like taeyong and he'll produce an absolute masterpiece

bonus duos bc i thought of some while i was writing those:

1. any/all pairs out of xiaojun, renjun and yangyang: renyang bc besties and their voices would compliment each other, junjun because their unbreakable love cover is the third most watched youtube video in my history, xiaoyang bc again would compliment each other super well and it'd be a fun mixup in the wayv Duos

2. renjun and winwin: i just need to see the rest of them spontaneously combust

3. taeil and chenle: your honour in my heart they are Besties

4. Kun and Chenle: obviously

5. Johnny and Hendery: they would vibe. i know they barely know each other right now but i just believe they would Vibe. also you specifically would love it, and the world should revolve around your wants and needs

Hiiii! Ten definitely has a solo album around the corner. Like he's definitely been preparing for it like if not by year's end for sure in the beginning of next year. Like its just inevitable. I'd even just accept an ep from Taeil. Something cause once Sehun enlists it's only a matter of time for Taeil. Plus Taeil is injured so just one solo song will do. Till he returns.

I hope yuta does a rock album, like its just so him and needs to happen. If Yuta brings back screaming from kpops distant short visual kei past. Like a full rock album from Yuta would be everything. I also have songs I'd like for him to cover. Hatefuck - Motionless in white, Closer - Nine inch nails, Sinematic - Motionless in white, throne - bring me the horizon, I have a playlist I'll just send it to him.

Sweet baby Renjun, definitely needs a solo album soon, his voice is so pretty and needs to be highlighted. Chenle too!! Oooh and a Renjun and Chenle duet would be wonderful. Xiaojun, just put him in the studio and let him go it's what the world needs. I would love to see a Yangyang solo, I loved lowlow so much I need more Yangyang. I would like for him to also cover peach by yixing, it would just fit him. It's what Yixing would want. Of course Kun needs to have an album, it would be a beautiful album of ballads with just one unhinged song that no one expected.

Speaking of Yixing, I need Winwin to really go for it. I want multiple solo albums from Winwin and for his career to really prosper in China, make sm beg him to comeback but he's just too famous and busy. I used to be worried but I need Winwin to get only the best and succeed. But I really feel like SM is purposely holding him back cause they know the power he'd have.

Speaking of hear me out Renjun, Yangyang and Winwin, there's some untapped power there and I kinda need that. We have more than enough proof how good Kun, Taeil and Chenle are together, it's just destined. Yessss Hendery and Johnny would be best friends if they aren't already. And you are too kind but if I had one wish granted by sm it would be Hendery and Johnny duet that's it. Also Johnny, Jungwoo, Jaemin and Hendery there's something here. Not just cause they're all my biases. They're all the same level of weird and a little out of their minds. I don't even want a song. Just put them in a room alone with a camera I want to see what happens.

Oh noooo, as much as I would love to see Taemin and Jimin interacting and doing stuff at the same time, we all know that it'll end up with armys shitting on Taemin the way they do every time they so much as exist in the same space. Taem literally just had to say he liked dynamite that one time to set them off. I can only imagine what it would be like if they were "competing" against each other in music shows or album sales(I say this knowing there'd be no competition at all, and we'd get Armys calling him an old flop even more than before)

I just don't want that for him. I don't want him dealing with fans of his friends shitting on him for no reason and him just accepting it cause he loves his friends.

If the fans could keep from being demons it would be epic though. 😭

No but seriously - do you really think someone like Taemin cares what BTS fans think of him? This is the idol of idols - a man whose solo career is the reason so many people have been given a shot at going solo. He's hugely influential. He's from SHINee who performed at Abbey Road Studios in London and SuperM who were the first kpop act to play Madison Square Garden. This is also a man who has been through some really tough shit in life. He's not gonna read a 12 year old calling him a flop in English on twitter and cry.

He would love promoting alongside Jimin. I doubt he'd care about who won because if either of them won he'd love that. SHINee have never been about collecting awards - they're in it for the art. I think sometimes, as awful as army can be, we need a reality check that kids on Twitter trending dumb shit is not reality. I don't mean this to sound harsh to you Anon because I understand where you're coming from but let's remember we're above that and that we should want nice, real life things for our fav artists (doesn't mean we can't complain when the cadets get stupid tho 🤭).

hi tumblr user checkers-dances. i write to you from my death bed. i fear i may not make it past this winter.

JOKES ASIDE. ive been sick the past few days. its really not that bad but im dramatic and also havent been genuinely sick in years so i have mostly stayed on my bed and done nothing but watch hour long video essays. if im not doing that, im watching mx videos. in any case, because ive been using kpop to Cope, i remembered this one youtube trend where people came up with like a whole idea for a kpop group. in a lot of ways its kind of like making your own superm, but im less interested in that aspect and more on trying to think about the more technical side of it. so because im dying and in need of fun, and also it was just a lot of fun coming up with my idea for an nct alternative, i've been thinking about what i would do if i had to manifest a kpop group out of thin air. here at incest entertainment, what type of music can we offer to the market?

i'm still not super sure of what route i would go but i've established a couple of ideas and once again, im smarter and cooler than any real kpop company.

-we're going with 7 members. i think that's kind of a perfect number, not too much and not too little.

-one thing i know for sure is that i need at least one member with creative inclinations. preferably we would have multiple guys because i think it'd be cheaper than having to always rely on outside producers probably? but also because here at incest entertainment we want our artists to have as much artistic freedom as possible <3 and because i do have a bit of a vision for what i want this group to be, i need to have strong communication with the idols who will be performing the songs, and i think a good way to go about that is having at least one of them who is also involved in the music.

-so i want the group to have a really strong concept. i think we are in desperate need of more kpop music videos with larger storylines (and those storylines would be even connected to the lyrics of the songs themselves). i'm still not entirely sure what the concept would be but it'd be very story driven and it'd have kind of mystery to it.

-so here's the most important part that i've come up with so far. it's by far the most unrealistic one, but if a group ever did this i think it'd be really fun. so i was thinking about how fun it was to overthink the mx music videos and try to come up with a coherent theory, and because i'm going to be pushing for a narrative i obviously want to give fans stuff to chew on and speculate on. and i was thinking about what would be a good way to do this. and then i fucking realized. let's make a fucking arg. let's throw weird code into the videos that leads to like a secret website where the fans can solve puzzles and figure shit out. i think making that aspect more interactive could be really interesting.

-to connect with the last point, i think a great way to push this would be with the physical albums. part of the appeal of physical albums in kpop is that they come with a lot of other neat things. so the albums can include items that are connected to the story, like idk. documents with info on them that they can decipher for themselves.

ANYWAY, im tired and i don't think im going to elaborate more on this, but i like this basic idea. sadly, incest entertainment isn't real and neither is my imaginary boy band.

HELP, NOT INCEST ENTERTAINMENT....INC-ENT for short. Is 7 rlly the magic number or is it just the number most frequently found in groups u like 🧐🧐🧐? THE OVERTHINKING MX ERA...listen I think this group should at least have a coherent storyline they're going for to avoid another watch/blue flower event 😭😭. Maybe it could be a scifi arg since there already are scifi concepts in kpop, or maybe it's a more historical thing. Personally I think if the company is called incest entertainment there should be incest gimmicks in the group, like them pretending they're all related despite looking nothing alike. Maybe there's even a time travel gimmick in the story so they're all each other's ancestors at diff points in the timeline. Much to think abt (help I said no more watch/blue flower stuff and then immediately went on to spawn this concept 😭)

the journey i went through getting these albums….

Dating Na Jaemin was like a kind of trophy that every girl wanted to win and brag about, Na Jaemin was probably the most famous boy in the university with cute smile and messy hair, he made girls fall in love, he was also known as the university fuckboy, it was rumored that his new sports car had been paid for his services.

You were one of the few girls who didn't fall for his charm, it was amazing how Jaemin still managed to remain an average student at school given that he must always be quite busy.

One day you were changing your books in the locker, when you felt him approaching, you didn't even need to look at him, you smelled his perfume.

"What you want?"

“A good day would be good too”

You gave him a look of death and walked away, he kept following you.

"Why you hate me? I never did anything to you.”

He pulled your arm back to face each other.

"Listen, I need help in Biology and you're the best student"

You stopped in the middle of the hallway, you needed money, your parents can´t afford the university costs.

Now you here are in the school library trying to teach Jaemin about biology, people compliment him and he check on the girls not paying any attention to what you say.

You finish the lesson and wait until they're out of the library to talk to him.

“We can't study where you always get distracted, do you have any idea of a better place?”

"Maybe my apartment?"

"Your apartment?"

"Yes I live alone so it won't be a hassle for anyone"

You weren't too confident about going to his apartment as he must take almost all the girls there, but as there was little space available you had to accept.

At 3 o'clock you knock on his door, he opens it soon with wet hair and a big smile.

"Come in, my room is on the right, I'll get juice for both of us"

You went into Jaemin's room, it had blue and red tones and a big bed, was that where Jaemin did his services?

Jaemin came back with the juices and surprisingly managed to concentrate, in the end while you packed your books in your backpack Jaemin said:

"I don't know if you know, but all the rumors about me are false, I bought that car and my apartment with my own money didn't resort to anything illegal."

You just looked at him and headed for the door, what could you say to him? Thanks for clarifying that you're a legal fuckboy?

The more lessons you gave Jaemin, the more you noticed that he wasn't as idiot as you thought, he was kind of nice.

You went to teach a sick Jaemin, you insisted that he rest that they could have that class some other time, but Jaemin insisted on that day.

Jaemin tried his best to pay attention to the class and after you sent him to bed he called you:

"Y/N?"

"Yes?"

"You can stay with me?"

You were caught in shock never thought he would do that, but he was so sick. You accepted and went to the bathroom to wet some towel to put on his forehead. You put it on his forehead and after a while he fell asleep, then you also fell asleep on the couch in his living room.

When you woke up, you headed for the kitchen to find Jaemin cooking probably already healed.

"Good Morning! Sit down, I'm making you breakfast.

You sat down and after a few minutes, he placed breakfast in front of you.

"I'm going for a run, feel free in my house."

He spoke, bent down and placed a kiss on your mouth.

You were shocked as he walked away happy. Did he really kiss you? Or was it an accident and he wanted to kiss you on the cheek and you shook your head?

You've been thinking about it for a while while writing a post it thanking him for the food.

As it was Saturday, you had plans to rest, but your plans were ruined when a black leather Jaemin showed up at night.

"Let's go out"

"Where?"

"Just follow me"

Jaemin took you to a club, but as soon as he arrived he just disappeared, you were waiting for him to come back, after a while you just decided to leave, as you left the crowd some guy pressed your body against his hard, you managed to step on his foot and walk away.

You sat on the sidewalk, you were lost and scared, you sat there waiting for Jaemin to show up for an eternity. When he suddenly sits on the sidewalk next to you.

"I was looking for you"

"Where have you been? Why did you leave me?" Tears rolled down in your cheeks.

“I'm sorry, did something happen? Why are you crying?"

“A boy was pressing me against him, I stepped on his toes, but it never happened to me and I'm scared.” You spoke in sobs.

Jaemin pressed you against his chest, his heat was superior to the cold breeze, he placed small kisses on your head while you sobbed.

“Let's go home” Jaemin said and took you to his house, you showered and dressed in his clothes and now you and he were side by side in his bed.

"I'm sorry for making you scared, I don't want to hurt you, I really like you" He spoke while stroking your hair.

You didn't say anything just looked at him, he leaned closer and gave a small kiss on your lips pulling you to his chest.

"Let me protect you tonight"

After this day, encounters with jaemin became more recurrent, he spent classes looking at you or playing with your fingers and he often asked you to stay with him.

The day of the exam results arrived and you and Jaemin arrived at the school together to see the results.

Jaemin's friend Jeno addressed Jaemin as soon as he saw him:

“Congratulations, you took 3rd place in the rankings! You no longer need to pretend to date! You won a bet, stop by the bar to get your money!

"Bet?" You ask confused.

"Yes. No longer need to hide! We all knew that Jaemin had made a bet to try to make the smart girl fall in love so he could get a good grade!”

“It wasn't quite like that-”

“So this was all a gamble”?

Jeno nodded and the pieces started to make sense in his head, why he was going to talk to you, it all made sense. It was a gamble.

You left school without wanting to look at him. He managed to pull you in to talk to him.

“So it was all a dumb bet? Was it fun to play with my feelings?”

You basically yelled at him now.

"Yes, I admit it was a gamble at first, but then I really fell in love with you, you have to believe me."

"My work is done, I got you to get a good grade"

"It will be like this? Are you going to give up on us like that?”

"There has never been an us, my work is complete. any kind of relationship we have is over now."

You left, and you didn't look back, Jaemin still looks at you or trying to talk to you, but you ignore him. Jaemin broke your heart, but you never let him know.

stuck in a rut: the mark story context

because i decided to post a one-shot for him that has nothing to do with the book that he's from, and it's not early on in their relationship lmao

so hi! for anyone who clicked on this link from "on the edge," this is basically everything you need to know about how we got to this point in the story (without any spoilers for "stuck in a rut," the (tentative) lucas story that takes place in the same universe, as this whole thing happens before his appearance in the pack). i'm sorry if this is just as long as the one-shot itself lol

if you need context as to how this universe as a whole "works," you can find that here. it's also linked in the notes of on the edge in case you missed it! i'll be using terminology from that post in this one, so if anything is confusing, please read that :)

so basically:

all of the members of superm are in one big wolfpack. they go to virginia tech, and they keep the wolf part of their lives under wraps by masking everything under a fraternity (called sigma mu)

kai is the alpha in this pack. he's not the oldest, but he's been a wolf since he was a toddler so he's the most experienced out of everyone and thus is the leader

the reader is a graphic design major, as is ten (i swear he's important)

ten and the reader met in their first class at virginia tech as freshmen. they're basically best friends. the reader does not know he's a wolf

at this point, ten is the pup in the pack. he joined, along with taeyong, around a year before he began his studies as VT during a campus tour when he was a senior in high school, where the two met kai, taemin, and baekhyun

when ten and the reader become friends, ten is one of only five members in the pack. mark has not yet joined

over the course of their freshman year, ten and the reader work on graphic design projects together, usually at her dorm since ten is a bit uncomfortable with her coming over to the frat house in case she might learn too much

mark, an english major, is turned into a wolf right at the beginning of sophomore year (he is the same age as ten in this story). it's bad. he was essentially brutally attacked by a wolf and left for dead, and he stumbled into kai's pack pretty much on pure instinct, where he was patched up by kai's imprint, jess, and sort of initiated into the pack. so he's now the pup

very soon into sophomore year, ten finally agrees to bring the reader to his house, figuring that he's grown accustomed enough to his new lifestyle that he won't let anything slip to her

during this first visit to the house, the reader meets mark in passing as he's heading out to go to a class, and he imprints on her immediately.

he's been a wolf for, like, two or three weeks at this point? has absolutely no fucking idea what's happening or why he suddenly cannot stop smelling this smell (he can't put his finger on what it smells like but he likes it), but he disregards it and doesn't tell anyone. figures it's a normal wolf thing

mark is also just. really fucked up from it all. he's not adjusting well, has this disgusting scar on his ribcage from the attack that didn't heal very well, and being from a very christian family with a strict christian father, his faith is also being tested as someone who very vehemently did not believe in wolves before he became one. he thinks he's cursed, basically

mark has his first rut about a week into turning, which is super unfortunate for him because he's not ready for it at all. he manages to get through it with medicine, but it's not fun, especially considering he's still healing from his attack

so things go on after mark imprints on the reader, and no one in the pack has any idea that it's happened

mark has his second rut, which is his first post-imprint, and it's the absolute fucking worst. this is when he realizes what's actually going on with him, because for some reason even though he's only met the reader, like, twice, he cannot stop thinking about her while he's fucking into his fist, and the smell is unbearable

he still doesn't tell anyone once he makes it through that second one

three weeks later, ten starts his rut

the reader is over at the sigma mu house to work on a project with him, and ten is pretty confident that he can hold himself back despite the rut. he needs to hold himself back, because this project is due in two days. but despite his self-control, he's still a bit oddly flirtatious and handsy with her

the reader picks up on it, and she starts to flirt back

and one thing leads to another, and ten and the reader have sex. remember that no one in this pack knows that mark has imprinted

mark is out shopping when this happens, and all of a sudden as he's checking out, that scent that he can't get rid of turns sour. he knows something's wrong. and he sprints back to the sigma mu house to figure out what it is, and he finds ten and the reader fucking. and even worse, that ten has claimed her with a big fat mark right on her collarbone

mark goes ape shit

he rips ten off of her before he can knot, turns into a wolf, and goes in for the kill. he gets one good attack in on ten's eye before kai subdues him, and the reader is left naked and traumatized, being comforted by taemin and baekhyun while things are explained to her. despite their newfound assumptions, they still don't exactly know why mark suddenly got so angry with ten, so the imprint thing is left out

later that night, after she's made sure that ten is going to be okay, she's visited by mark, who's trying to explain and apologize. she's rightfully pissed at him, but after he explains everything about how he had no idea what was going on and never meant to hurt ten and was just acting on instinct because he physically needs her... she kind of comes around

it's slow at first, but she figures that she would be an asshole to just cut mark off because of this one incident when he's stressed to her how genuinely important she is to him, and they're practically strangers, but she tries to at least be friendly with him so that his life isn't completely ruined

once things have settled and ten's eye has mostly healed, mark and the reader become fast friends, and she starts hanging around the house more often, either for projects with ten or to try getting closer to mark. she swears that she's only doing it because he needs it, but... let's face it, who wouldn't fall for him? he's precious

but despite the strange feelings, she refuses to actually get close to him because she feels like he'll never actually like her and that his feelings for her start and end with emotional obsession

and then... mark reveals that his third rut is coming up in a few weeks, and that he'll probably be pretty hyperfixated on the reader when it happens. he suggests that she stay far away from him while it's happening, but she insists that if it'll help him through it, she'll have sex with him

after a thorough discussion with ten on how ruts work, he volunteers to take her to her appointment to get an iud (so that she can safely have sex with mark when he needs it while still avoiding pregnancy), and on the way back to the house afterward, he explains how mark turned to her and why mark is so timid in taking his shirt off around people (because he feels ashamed of the scar). ten also explains that the reader seems to be finally bringing mark out of his shell and returning some sense of normalcy to his life, and regardless of everything going on between the three of them, he thanks her for taking care of his packmate

mark reveals that night that he's actually a virgin, and the reader instantly understands that the last thing he wants is to lose it in a rut where he can't control himself. there's about two weeks until it starts, and the reader can't have penetrative sex for a week due to the iud placement, so she offers to take his virginity in a week so that he can lose it before his rut starts and get comfortable in a sexual setting while he's still in control

but because the mood has shifted and mark is a bit turned on from thinking about losing his virginity, the reader offers to at least get him off so he can sort of ease into it before actually having sex with her. she gives him a handjob, and mark basically begs to eat her out (because he can smell her), but she stops him because his instincts seem to be taking over and she doesn't want him to lose control just in case anything is still sore from the iud. she does sort of run her fingers through her labia and let him taste it finger-sucking style, though. he enjoys that very much

mark also tries to take her shirt off to touch her a little, but he chickens out because he thinks it's "unfair" that he can't take his off because of the scar and he doesn't want to do anything to her that he wouldn't let her do to him

a week later, "on the edge" begins. it's the story of mark's loss of virginity :')

After falling in love, the two married as soon as they graduated from university, getting marriage visas in China and Australia for the significant other

Building a business together in medical health, it became successful to the point that they do international business with China and Japan (eventually South Korea and America later in the years when Nari is an idol), and were known for being one of the first young couples to achieve such a successful business

1995

Once the parents' business was stable and they had a steady income, Nari was born on the 22nd of October, 1995

She was born in Sydney, Australia, where she grew up for most of her life - thus, becoming an Australian citizen

She visited China when she was a toddler during holidays so her mother's side of the family can visit, which is when she began to learn Mandarin alongside English (and also received Chinese citizenship)

2001 - 2007

Nari attended Primary School in Sydney, but whenever it was the holidays, she would travel to China with her parents for their work

Sometimes she would stay in China with her grandparents while her parents travel elsewhere, though her parents always make sure to keep in contact with her and finish their work as soon as possible so they can reunite with their daughter

Occasionally, she would have holidays in Australia and be with her father's parents so she can also enjoy the life of Australia - this usually happens if her parents worry that they're bringing her around too much and not letting her enjoy the childhood that she should have

2008 - 2012

When Nari started high school, she would attend the first six months before she joins her parents overseas as their work started to become more demanding. While overseas, she would be homeschooled by the top tutors in China/Japan, and would also receive extra lessons to improve the language and how to act in public

Since her parents' business is well-known, it is expected of her to make appearances sometimes at some events so she would be trained on how to act professionally and 'noble' around her parents' coworkers and partnered businesses

Because of this, it was hard for Nari to relate to her high school classmates back in Australia as they didn't have the lifestyle she had, and was often bullied by her classmates for being 'rich' and being treated like 'royalty' most of her life. Because of this, Nari dropped out of the public high school in the last year of high school and did homeschool for the rest of the year

2012 - 2015

After completing Year 12, Nari decided to participate randomly in SM's Global Auditions after coming across SHINee and Exo on the SBS Channel in Australia on the show called 'PopAsia'

After passing auditions, Nari moved to Seoul with her parents (which is when her parents started making partner business in South Korea) and began training at SM

Due to her homeschooling which consisted of a variety of subjects that included musical instruments and languages, Nari became one of the top trainees that SM kept an eye on (also because they realised who her parents were, so they respected her), but this led to jealousy with other female trainees - thus, pushing her away from them, and instead drifting to the male trainees who would later become part of the same group

2016 - 2019

After a lot of hard training, Nari debuted in 2016 with NCT U and NCT 127, receiving lots of criticism and hate for being the only female member in NCT - on the other hand, there were some who recognised her for being the daughter of her parents, so they found her amazing for being an idol

By NCT 2018, fans became used to her and began to like her - especially when she debuted in 2019 with WayV and SuperM, because they got to see more of who she was and see the talent she had

On the other hand, there were some fans who didn't like the fact she was in multiple groups, claiming her to be stealing the attention of other members and commenting on her upbringing again

Bonus: 2019 is the year she and Taeyong began to date

2020 - Present

After covid struck the world, Nari decided to devote that time to exploring other areas such as music production which she then helped produce most of NCT's songs from that time and onwards (also choreography)

She also became interested in photography and afterwards modelling, accepting invitations to fashion shows and magazine covers

She is now considered one of the top successful idols currently being the only female in NCT/WayV/SuperM, being talented in multiple musical instruments and languages, producing music and choreographies, and becoming a model for big fashion companies. Not only that but also becoming an iconic role model for youth - especially to the young women

Bonus: There are rumours going around that she might participate in some acting or variety shows, but nothing is confirmed officially due to her already busy schedule

hiiii today's reminder is happy Kun day!!! my husband the loml my absolute favourite boy. I'm so surprised (and very touched!!) you remembered my birthday but also you're right because I've spent a fair amount of my time daydreaming about Kun and i watching new years/fourth of july fireworks together and just being disgustingly in love and also his birthday is the start of the year and mine is almost exactly the midpoint, so we'd also use it to be all sentimental and… ok there's a slight chance I've been using these romantic fantasies as a coping mechanism for things i should properly deal with but whatever. my dream Kun can never let me down.

alsoooo i watched the sm concert in bits and pieces half asleep because it started at 9 am here but a few things about that: one, wtf is Sungtaro's role at SM, are they tour guides at this point? i feel like they do everything but actual idol stuff now. two, they really performed take off for the first time in about three centuries, i almost screamed when i saw that (hyperbole, i was curled up in bed with the volume just high enough for me to hear it but i did audibly gasp). three, i was expecting a shinee's back 2023 thing like they did for don't call me considering it's their 15th anniversary next year but superm??? they're still a thing?? also i saw someone say that they added tvxq's colour to the logo thingy so changmin might be joining which??? i will Cry can you imagine the power but also the awkwardness bc I'm pretty sure he can't tell most of the nct boys apart. also reminded me that you said that's what you wanted superm to be, more of a rotational lineup. four, I'm pretty sure i have a massive crush on Boa after that

Hiii! Happy Kun day! It's your husband and wayvs father of 5, Ten isn't his child and Kun will never claim him birthday . I hope his 27th birthday was wonderful he looks so happy to be back out on that stage. And of course I remembered I remember all of the important birthdays. Do not ask me from memory to list all of NCTs birthdays there's like 50 of them. And that's literally the cutest relationship like you kiss on midnight and right as you pull away you say happy birthday and he kisses you again. And on your birthday it's a warm July night and he flies you off to Disney World and as the fireworks sparkle in the sky he pulls you close and says "it's all for you, happy birthday" and he kisses the top of your head. Like stop you two would be so cute.

And romantic fantasies are sometimes the only thing that can make you feel better. In my world. I ran into Chan, Felix and Hyunjin in the mall and they're lost and they come up to me and ask for help. I ask about the Aussies accent knowing full well but you can't let them know that you know cause you'll be fanzoned immediately. And as we're talking Hyunjin is just silently staring at me and when they walk away Hyunjin gives a small wave and we bump into each other later and instead of saying sorry he says "you're pretty" and asks if I want to have coffee with him and its quiet but we talk with glances and smiles and "accidental' grazes of fingertips. If you don't have your delusions and fantasies your just rawdogging life and that is not the way to live.

I've only seen clips here and there and to watch them perform Baby Don't Stop and 7th sense live in 2023 is honestly the only way to start the year. And they gifted us Hendery nipple. I have to watch all the other performances. I stayed up texting my crush he just got back to town anyway I fell asleep at some point. And I can just see Changbin asking Kai which one was just talking to him. And yes maybe we get Johnny? Chanyeol? Together? Please. Happy New Year again 💕 I hope you're new years was wonderful and I hope regular life is nice to you and takes care of you till Kun can come to take care of you. Mark:

Mark is the eldest in dream, and de facto "leader", but everyone knows Lily is the one that really runs things. Mark and Lily are the mom and dad of dream, "twins", and work together when leader duties need to be completed. At first, she didn't think Mark liked her much since he never really spoke to her but she later realized he's naturally a little awkward and quickly became friends after. They are best friends, the bestest friends in the whole wild world; they quite literally share the same braincell. They are very close, they started dream together, did high school together (same class and graduated), ended up being roommates on the 10th-floor dorm, graduated to NCT 127 together, then came back to NCT dream together, then joined SuperM. Neither thinks they'll be able to do anything without the other anymore, but they prefer to have each other anyway. His contagious laughter never fails to force a smile from Lily. Their bond is unmatched, and are unashamed to show their love and appreciation for each other. Lily is his biggest fan, and Mark is her biggest supporter.

Renjun:

They're the two calm members, not nearly as loud as their members. They often simply sit together in complete silence, just to be in the other's company when they're bored but don't want to be alone. Don't be mistaken though, Renjun can get as crazy as the others at times. Renjun is her first baby and she dotes on him constantly. Renjun isn't big on skinship, but is super comfortable with Lily and never minds her touches. He's her "bug." Renjun (and Chenle) are the only Chinese members and she knows they miss home sometimes, so she took it upon herself to learn their language and cook some of the dishes they ate as children. The first time she cooked them something, Renjun cried.

Jeno:

Baby #2. With her younger members, Lily sometimes has trouble seeing them as anything besides 14-year-old boys on scooters who perhaps, grew up a little too fast. Jeno, whenever he needs anything, always goes to Lily first. He definitely worries quite a bit over her health, but she always tells him not to worry so he tries not to. Lily has a way of knowing when something is wrong before the others even do. Jeno likes it when she sits beside him when he's upset and simply holds his hand for a while, gently coaxing his problems out, before he inevitably blurts out whatever is bothering him.

Haechan:

Baby #3. Haechan is very loud and it intimidated Lily when she first joined the group, but he's honestly the biggest sweetheart and was the first to really welcome her. In the beginning, when the others were too shy to be near her, he was the one that sat beside her in the van and invited her along when he and the other boys did something. Haechan is also in 127, and Lily baby's him all the same. She's the only 127 member that actually treats him as the maknae.

Jaemin:

Baby #4. Oh, Lily loves her maknaes. Lily is always complimenting him, and eventually, Jaemin started doing the same because he didn't want her to be left out. He's always been clingy with his members, none more so than his "second mom." Jaemin has a naturally bubbly personality, but even he needs a moment to be vulnerable, and he always finds comfort with Lily who already seemed to know when he hit his limit.

Chenle:

Baby #5. Like Renjun, sometimes he misses home and appreciated it a lot when she learned how to cook the food he was familiar with and learn his language. The first thing she learned was "I love you" and Chenle got a little choked up. He jokes around with her a lot, and she laughs at all his jokes whether or not they are funny. Lily is always in the background, silently cheering him on and he likes knowing she's there.

Jisung:

Baby #6. Her youngest baby. Jisung is NCT's maknae, but nobody babies him more than Lily and he eats it up. Jisung was a little shy when they first met, but she coaxed a conversation out of him when she continued to ask him questions and force him to open up. When he was younger, Lily would help him and the others with their homework and stayed up with them all night to help. He pesters a lot sometimes, but unlike the others, Lily takes it in stride and lets him do whatever.

Dream:

- She often laments about how fast they're growing up. Weren't they like 14 yesterday?

- She's the only one that can put up with their childishness

- Jisung (and a couple of the others) definitely had a crush on her when he was 14, because what young teen doesn't when he's around a girl? Lily knew about it, of course, she did, and he eventually grew out of it

- When they bicker, Lily is usually the one to dissipate their arguments before they can go too far

- All dream members worry about her health, they don't know everything but still worry.

- Their moms are all secretly grateful for Lily, the girl who takes care of their boys like her own

- Whenever they have problems, they go to Lily who always has an answer to their problems

- sometimes when they laugh, they can get a little aggressive but they'll be a little softer with Lily so they don't smack her to the ground

- They (jokingly Mark sometimes too) call her noona, and they learned when they do, they can get her to do anything

- You know how when the NCT members laugh, they sometimes just end up hitting everything around them? Yeah. While most members consciously don't hit Lily, Mark doesn't give a crap and will smack her into next week if he laughs hard enough

- When they get older, they'll playfully flirt with you just because they think your reactions are funny

NCT 127:

Taeil:

Taeil was the first to welcome her to NCT 127, he was a calmer soul that pulled her away from the crowd when she first arrived to help her acclimate in silence. He pays very close attention to the way she takes care of herself and often scolds her for not doing it well enough. He takes care of her silently. As the eldest, Lily knows it may be hard for Taeil to confide in his younger members so she tries to open herself up to him. Give and take. She tells him something that bothers her and he, in turn, does the same. They often pair up together whenever NCT 127 does interviews or games because they are very compatible.

Johnny:

Johnny is very loud and big, which freaked Lily out in the beginning. After Taeil pulled her away and told her about everyone, she started to feel better but it definitely took these two a little longer to become friends. Johnny tried, believe me, he was a little desperate, but kept saying something out of turn which intimidated Lily. They're friends now, and he is always making her laugh. He always has a quiet eye on her when they go out. He's not obsessively looking after you, but he does in his own way.

Taeyong:

He's NCT's undisputed leader, and she naturally confides in him a bit. He and Doyoung are always asking if you ate, and cheer you on when they can tell you're a bit uncomfortable with something new. He's always asking if she's alright with the way the group is moving, and always circles back to her in interviews since she's a quieter member and doesn't really talk much. Lily has a naturally inviting personality, and Taeyong sometimes finds himself confiding in her things he wouldn't do with others. It's okay though, Lily always has a waiting ear out for the leader who takes care of everyone else.

Yuta:

When she first joined NCT 127, Yuta was very quick to her side like a puppy. He reminded her of Jeno, a little clingy with the people they like. Whenever they meet, Yuta welcomes her with a huge bear hug that sweeps her off her feet. If she is arm's length away, Yuta will always have an arm around her. He's aware Lily is a little sick but doesn't think it should hold her back in any way and is always pulling her out of her comfort zone. Yuta is president of the "protect Lily" fan club and will quite literally, fight anyone that does anything mean to her. Lily low-key gets a little possessive over him.

Doyoung:

He and Taeyong are like your dads. Doyoung is always asking if you ate and if he's eating he'll always manage to put a spoonful of whatever into your mouth. He stays late with you sometimes when learning a new choreography since you take frequent breaks and are unable to catch up quite as fast. Lily thinks his voice has healing properties, and believe's it's the most peaceful sound in the world. When in the van, she'll often fall asleep on his shoulder which is perfectly fine since he's probably asleep as well.

Jaehyun:

He, too, was a little awkward when they first met and were forced to get over it when they got put into the same group. Now, they're two peas in a pod. Jaehyun is a quieter member, so she feels very peaceful in his presence, and with Jungwoo, often makes fun of his deep laugh. Like Doyoung, whenever he eats, he always manages to get something into your mouth since he knows you forget to eat sometimes or let the others have your food. He takes care of you with the small things, like always offering you water and asking if you took your medicines. If Yuta is president of your fan club, Jaehyun is vice president. He doesn't make his love for you known outright but is always watching and ready to offer a helping hand.

Jungwoo:

Jungwoo is cute, like Jisung so she naturally found herself befriending him easily. He wasn't awkward at all when you met, treats you like "one of the boys" and is actively inviting you out with him or actively involving you in certain conversations. He is the opposite of Jaehyun and doesn't care who knows he loves you, so he'll randomly appear in front of you and pinch your cheeks or wrap his arms around you. He is also a member of your fan club. He struggled a lot when he first joined, but Lily never let him listen to the outside noise and has been his biggest fan since day one.

127:

- Her oppas. She doesn't feel a need to baby them like she does with NCT dream, but does nonetheless

- Some people might be bothered if people keep eating off their plate, but Lily doesn't mind when 127 is constantly reaching over to have her food. If she has a sandwich, there's a 99% chance one of them will come up and take a bite

- Johnny and Yuta (sometimes Jungwoo) will 100% flirt with her just because they like to see her get flustered, they get a reaction every time

- They worry about her health a lot as her seniors and often scolds her for not taking care of herself

- Since Lily takes frequent naps, one of them will often join her. Not because they feel the need to, but because they're a little tired too and she's a good excuse for some shut-eye

WayV:

Kun:

They're decently close, but don't get to see each other often due to conflicting schedules and his frequent trips to China. WayV lives in Korea, train there, and only go to China for promotions so whenever they have days off, they'll occasionally figure out a way to do something together. They’re not awkward by any means (like if you left them together in a room they’d be okay), just not as close as they are with others. Despite the fact they’re not as close, they still have affection for the other and they’re definitely not afraid to reach out and catch up every now and then.

Ten:

Ten is an unashamed member of her fan club. He went viral once in Korea for defending you against a Chinese interviewer that seemed to have it out for you. Kun had to, reluctantly, hold him back. He is always excited to see you, as you are him. She helped him learn English since she's fluent, and he helped her with her mandarin to surprise Chenle and Renjun. He calls you baby, and got closer in SuperM.

Winwin:

Their time in 127 matched up for a bit and they adore each other. He's a quieter member, so they got along easily. They care for the other deeply and hung out a lot together when in 127 together. Now, their schedules end up conflicting with him in WayV, but they always try to make time for the other. In the same interview where Ten went viral, he could be seen huffing as Kun tried to calm his members and Yangyang spoke up about a sweet story to convince the interviewer otherwise. Lily is fully part of the love Winwin thing NCT has going on. The other NCT members get jealous when Winwin reciprocates Lily's love and not theirs.

Lucas:

He was loud. Their first meeting went about the same as it did with Johnny. He insisted on being her friend though and that's what they became over time. They're still kind of awkward though, even after SuperM.

Xiaojun:

They don't really get a chance to hang out, but like Kun, they're friendly. He's like that distant cousin you don't talk too much, but whenever you get together it's like no time passed. He often complains to you about the others when they bother him too much, and texts you occasionally when he's in China.

Hendrey:

Hendrey was a little shy when they first met, so was Lily. But Kun began a conversation and began pointing out similar interests which spurred a conversation between them. Her relationship with him is similar to Xiaojuns, not awkward by any means but not as close. She thinks Hendrey is very handsome and always tells him that because she knows he doesn't think so sometimes. During NCT collaborations, Lily helps him with his pronunciation and he, in turn, found her a couple of recipes he thought Chenle and Renjun would like.

Yanyyang:

They don't really interact much, but Lily feels a profound maternal feeling over him since he's so far away. Yangyang is secretly very touched whenever she asks about him. They’re not awkward around each other, but they don’t necessarily talk often so when they do they have lots to catch up on. She hears about him occasionally from Renjun and Chenle. She takes care of him despite their loose relationship, and always sends him something when she sends WayV a care package when they're in China for a long time.

WayV:

-Whenever they come back from their trips, they'll bring Lily something back

- sometimes their overseas trips take a while, so every now and then Lily will send them a package to help ease the homesickness

-Other than Winwin and Ten, she has pretty loose relationships with them. But even though they’re not as close, they still care about the other (if that makes sense lol). ie, they’re not going to talk everyday but if someone says something crappy, then they’ll 100% say something in defence and shut it down

- She's not as close with them as she is with 127 and dream, but they all try their best to nurture their relationships

me and nox concluded our nct marathon and im feeling oddly bittersweet about it. it was such a good experience. we still have so much more stuff to watch (we call together frequently to watch cinderella movies, we plan to listen to every new nct release in the future, and we also have more kpop marathons left) but OUG. THE NCT ERA IS OVER.

ether way it was such a good time and i'm glad we did this. it was honestly a rlly interesting ride. they had a rough start, like everything sounded SO weird initially vnfjvnjf with a few exceptions here and there. and then suddenly they had their hashtag slay era as noxia calls it, where they kept releasing consistently good music. of course highway to heaven was released during that era, literally nct's peak. and then everything went downhill again NVNJFNVJFVN THEY RELEASED MAKE A WISH. WHICH IS SUCH A MID, LEANING TOWARDS BAD SONG, BUT ALSO ONE IM KINDA OBSESSED WITH, ITS MY GUILTY PLEASURE. me and noxia had only listened to the english version but the lyrics in the korean version are so different??? like they actually make sense. whoever translated the song legit just pulled shit out of their ass and tried to make it rhyme. there was so much unmemorable shit, and then we got to hot sauce and OH MY GOD, HOT SAUCE IS SO BAD. i've heard it so many times before but idk why it rlly got to me this time. i think it was noxia's reaction to it but i started laughing so hard i had actual tears in my eyes, i was sobbing. and then the most devastating thing happened.

noxia looked at one of the guys and said "DUDE, THAT GUY HAS A SUPERM SHIRT" and she kept going back trying to find the frame and it was a fucking SUPREME shirt. i lost my mind at that.

then we got to sticker. we've all heard sticker. it certainly is a song.

and as for the more recent releases, i actually thought they were pretty good. a lot of nct's stuff is kinda just generic and unmemorable but occasionally it's kinda fun, and i do think after sticker there's been some improvement here and there. the world is healing. as noxia put it by the end of it: "their music just isn't for me. most of the songs aren't bad, they're just so generic, and i wouldn't ask someone to turn it off but i would also forget about it by tomorrow. every once in a while they release a BANGER and every once in a while they release the worst songs known to men."

yeah, i agree. i no longer think they suck, is just that when they give them bad songs they're SO bad vnfjvnjv. but there's redeemable qualities in their discography and for the most part, they're okay. overall their music is a 6/10 i think, but they have some rlly good songs here and there.

SPECIFICALLY i love wayv. wayv stayed consistently good all the time??? not a single miss. i was terrified when we got to the nct flop era and a wayv song started playing and it sounded kinda off. i remember noxia going "THEY GOT WAYV!!!" but it was fine, the song actually picked up a bit as it went along.

in conclusion: nct is. alright. not as bad as some people say it is, and also not as good. it's just okay overall. but i do think they have some potential, so i'm excited to see where they go in the future in terms of their music. maybe they'll get a full redemption arc.

NOOOOOO, THE END OF THE NCT ERA....I'm not surprised that ur rating of their discography was 6/10. I wonder if nct is more of an...experiment for sme. Bc they already have a unique group dynamic (Idk of any other groups that just keep adding new members bc that's their gimmick + them having so many subdivisions + having one of those subdivisions be dedicated to just putting the members on rotation), so maybe they're throwing things at the fans and seeing what can be marketed and what can't.
